In this episode of the Bookish and Bubbly podcast, Brooke and Hope are back again to talk about giving your life a splash of WHIMSY. Speaking of whimsical, we take a small detour and talk about some things that really give us joy: crushing our kids/niece and nephew in games, books, movies…. and HEATED RIVALRY 🔥 We truly cannot get enough of Connor Storie, and Hudson Williams and will forever be fans of this masterpiece. We talk about The Housemaid and book adaptions, which leads to talking about more books. We end the episode by going over some ways we’re adding a little whimsy to our lives; such as taking a walk, coloring, going outside and grounding ourselves, etc. We want to know: how do you add whimsy to your life? In this episode of the Bookish and Bubbly Podcast, Hope and Brooke are here to wrap up 2025, and look ahead to 2026. Combined, your girls read over 200 books in 2025 and are here to tell you what made the best list, and what stunk (immediately NO to anacondas, Mariana!!!). We look back at our words of the year from last year (spoiler alert: CRUSHED IT!) and pick our new words for 2026. What’s your word of the year? Tell us in the comments! We end the episode discussing how much we love Heated Rivalry, and per the usual Brooke doubles down on a rant like a boss. The Bookish and Bubbly Podcast is ready for another great year! P.S. In this episode of the Bookish and Bubbly podcast, Brooke and Hope are back again with.... a whole episode dedicated to our love of Marcus Mumford, and Mumford and Sons. Hope took Brooke on a field trip where we spent the night mesmerized, and obviously we're going to tell you all about it. After we get all of our Marcus feelings out, we discuss the book Rock, Paper, Scissors by Alice Feeney. This thriller takes you on a journey with so many twists and turns, and we'll never think about rock paper scissors the same. More specifically, we'll never choose scissors. P.S. In this episode of the Bookish and Bubbly podcast, your girls ARE BACK!!! We took a much needed break and are back with a previously recorded episode on My Friends by Fredrik Backman. We start out the meeting by having a team meeting (want another hotties who have our heart ep? Comment below and let us know!) before diving into the very interesting writing style of Fredrik Backman. We wrestle with our thoughts on the book, but really had a lot of takeaways from this story. Brooke had a spiraling menty b (lololol), and we obviously talked a lot. Tell us…if you could write a book about your life, what would it be about? IT’S SO GOOD TO BE BACK! P.S. In this last episode of our Summer Series (we know we’re late 🤭), the bookish and bubbly podcast will discuss a summery thriller that will keep you guessing: One of the Girls by Lucy Clarke. The book was fine, but we mostly talk about Brooke’s K-Pop Demon Hunters journey (which also equals Hope’s journey), Hope’s love of Magnolia Parks (@bailey, I still love you!!) that fully consumes her life, the key to being besties with Brooke, Halloween plans, a quick tangent on how Adam Sandler was a hottie, and an ending of what we would do if we found ourselves in a situation like the girls in this book and someone is dead, and we’re trying to avoid jail. Spoiler alert: Hope’s going to jail, but will not survive. We hope you enjoyed our summer series, and will join us for the fall! P.S. In this episode of the Bookish and Bubbly podcast, Hope and Brooke talk about a book that shows the injustices towards women…annnnnnnnnd go on a rant about how, as Beyoncé said, We (SHOULD) Run the World. We start out the episode talking about thrifting, selling clothes to Clothes Mentor for pennies, and a plea to Old Navy to stay in your lane! We then move into talking about the book, Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid, which leads into an in-depth discussion (read: rant) on how women should be handed the baton to run things, because let’s be real we’re bad asses. No hate to the men - we just think we should have a turn at sitting in the captain’s seat. Come along with us, it’s always a fun ride! P.S. In this episode of the Bookish and bubbly podcast, Hope and Brooke are joined by BFF Megan to talk about The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren. Join us as we discuss the book for a hot second, and then talk about everything else….what we’ve been up to this summer, Brooke’s cousin writing a book (yay!!), The Nightingale movie that we’ll never see, Taylor Swift vs. Blake Lively (which obviously leads to a Taylor Swift monologue by Hope), favorite concerts, and more. We’re just three besties who can’t stop talking, so grab a glass of wine and join us! P.S.
