Mackenzie Hammond is a dedicated Doctor of Physical Therapy and former collegiate athlete with a passion for helping others regain their strength and mobility. After graduating from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's Physical Therapy program in 2024, Mackenzie launched her career with a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that come with injury and rehabilitation. Growing up in a sports-oriented family, Mackenzie’s athletic journey began early, and she quickly excelled in soccer. At Holy Family University, she was a key player on the women's soccer team, honing both her athleticism and teamwork skills. However, her athletic career took a challenging turn at the age of 13 when she tore her ACL—a pivotal moment that not only tested her resilience but also sparked her interest in physical therapy. The injury and her subsequent recovery process played a significant role in shaping her career path, as she was inspired by the healing power of rehabilitation. Now living in the Philadelphia area with her husband Tom and their dog Basil, Mackenzie brings empathy and firsthand experience to her work as a physical therapist. She is committed to supporting her patients through their rehabilitation journeys, understanding the mental and physical hurdles they face along the way. Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, and exploring the vibrant city she now calls home. Whether it's caring for her patients or enjoying life's simple pleasures, Mackenzie’s dedication to wellness and recovery remains at the heart of everything she does.
