B
We're your hosts, Jill Dunn and Carlene Higgins. Welcome back to Breaking Beauty Podcast, everyone. I'm one of your co hosts, Jill Dunn. I'm sitting here alongside Carlene Higgins.
A
Hi, Jill.
B
How are you?
A
I'm good. And happy anniversary to you. May I just say.
B
Oh, is it our anniversary week? It is. Oh, happy anniversary.
A
It's our eighth anniversary.
B
Can you believe I now I really wish that we dressed alike today.
A
I almost wore a red sweater. Jill's wearing a bright red sweater, but I went brown instead. Although I do love a brown and red combo these days.
B
Yeah, I like your shirt, too. It's nice. Thank you. Yeah, we didn't see each other today, but I got my hair done this morning at an event, and I got to meet one of our past guests there, and I thought you were going to be there and you weren't.
A
Who?
B
Abby Young.
A
No way.
B
Yeah.
A
Oh, no.
B
She was in town working. She's the trichologist, everyone. And she was working alongside Dove. And I got a blowout with their new intensive repair line. You probably experienced that when you were away.
A
Go. Yes, I was in Sedona.
B
You were on assignment with Dove previously. But, yeah, they brought Abby in to talk about the line, and, you know, she's like, basically the girl who's responsible work. That drugstore hair care is trending, so I'm not surprised that they worked with her. But, you know that I've already been on Dove. That serum mask, I've been talking about it for a long time, and just like, run, don't walk, they basically expanded the whole range, and it's really good.
A
Now they have, like, four different ones, I think, for just whatever your hair needs are.
B
But, yeah, it's. It's really hashtag damn good. But we digress. Today's episode is, like I mentioned, our best of spring. And of course, if you've been tuning in for all these eight years that we've been doing this show, every single month, we review what's the latest and greatest in the market. And there were so many spring launches this year that we almost were like, we have to do two episodes.
A
Yeah, I know.
B
It was so much.
A
Oh, my gosh. There really was. So we're going to try to cram it into today's episode.
B
Even though we have so many great guests on our show, everyone from Haley Bieber to estheticians like Renee Rouleau and makeup by Mario still the most popular episodes when it's just you and I chit chatting about products as two former beauty editors turned beauty podcasters. So here we are, doing it again. Doing the damn thing.
A
Yeah. Testing all of the things I had so much fun. And there. I'm just going to say there are a lot of damn good products launching for spring 2025.
B
There. There really are.
A
Yeah. Get your wallets ready.
B
Yeah. And I. I have to say, I think we do make need to make mention because we're Canadian girlies ourselves. I do think people are looking for Canadian choices. And just before we dive in today, Carina, I need to tell you about an email I just got. So I know that people are maybe making those choices where they want to shop. Canadian shop, homegrown hints, as it were. And there's a new website called Northfinder Ca and you. It's backed by the OMI Labs, which is a company out of Quebec. The Canadian Beauty Club is what it's called. And it's really cute, the website. And it's like they have fields you can fill in. It's like, I want a blank category that does xyz. So you're like, I want a cleanser that is clean or dermatologist tested sensitive skin and it will pop up.
A
Let me guess, is it omi? Yes.
B
First hits are omi. However, they do have three ships on here.
A
Okay.
B
And if all of you are looking for even more Canadian brands to support, I made a whole tick tock about it.
A
Okay.
B
On my personal TikTok. It has like 80,000 views at this point.
A
Oh, nice.
B
What's your handle? It's Jill Done Beauty. And what I loved about that post, Carlene, is I made it on a whim with some of my favorites. But I encourage people in the comments to write their favorites.
A
Okay.
B
And so there's brands on there I've never heard of.
A
Oh, cool.
B
And probably you hadn't either from, like Edmonton and Winnipeg and like all over. And I just loved it. It's like people coming together. So there's resources out there for everyone. And we made our whole newsletter about that. That topic last month.
A
So, yeah, love it.
B
And so, Carlene, let's tell the people what they can anticipate to hear about today and the best of Spring. Because like we said, there were so many launches.
A
Yes. Well versed launched makeup, and I think that's pretty big. So I tried a few of the products from the line. I'm gonna give you my red hot review, which we also have some new and Emerging like niche categories happening. So we have, we have kind of like soft focus lip liners which I'm excited about and I'm going to tell you why just ahead. We also have now long wear skin tints.
B
Yes.
A
And so that's kind of popping off. And Jill, what do you have over on your side that you.
B
So we have a new serum that's been getting tons of buzz that's like a sort of older sister to a product that was sold out like four times last year.
A
Okay.
B
So it's the buzzy big sister product. I also have an oil serum that normally I would think of, it would be my enemy, but I've actually brought it here to talk about it today because I think it's that hashtag damn good. I'm also going to be talking about an exciting collaboration and a cult favorite that's had a bit of a glow up, I would say.
A
Okay.
B
And also a dermatologist backed product that is going to give you the most juicy lips ever for spring.
A
Awesome. Well, I can't wait to share all of my favorites with you, Jill, and to hear all about yours. So that's coming up after the Joe.
B
Once Skin is one of our show partners this week. You might remember recently we had an amazing founder on our show, Carolina Race, Oliviera. And she's a scientist and she founded this brand once again alongside three other female scientists. Hello. I love that so much. And we had a really in depth conversation about aging and the discoveries that they've been able to make, especially around peptides. And I was fascinated to learn more about how their proprietary peptides actually kill off what they call these zombie cells in our skin that kind of are a bit chaotic and they basically cause our other skin cells to age faster than they should. And I'm very much explaining it in layman's terms right now, but I, it really was felt like a breakthrough and an innovation. And of course around here at Breaking Beauty, we love that. And One Skin's OSO1 peptide is scientifically proven to reach the deeper layers of the skin, improving things like wrinkles, hydration and barrier function at the cellular level. While other peptides can kind of break down when exposed to different elements, OS01 is formulated to remain stable from the lab to your countertop. So you really get those reliable. And they were able to isolate and celebrate this peptide. I believe they researched more than 900 to get this final formulation. And choosing the right peptide and getting the right skincare products matter. And that's why I love the One Skin. I'm really partial to their body product. It's called the topical body supplement and it's a body cream. Feels really lightweight, really beautiful. But I really noticed like less creepiness in the areas that I wanted to look a little bit firmer and and it goes on beautifully. And they had a before and after they showed that was just like kind of mindblowing. So you can try One Skin OS01 powered topical supplements for yourself with 15% off your first purchase. Using code BEAUTY at One Skin Co Beauty that's spelled O N E S k I n co beauty to save 15% off your first purchase. Once again, Oneskin co Beauty. We'll link to the software in our show notes and on our website. Now back to the show. Hey friend. I'm Nicole Walters, mom of three, your Internet bestie and founder of Inherit Learning company. Carlene, what has got you the most excited, excited for spring 2025?
A
Well, honestly, aside from the fact that I launched a substack, it's called the Elevens, everybody needs to go to at Carlene Higgins on Instagram and sign up. Holla. I gotta promote myself, you know.
B
Yeah, and promote our newsletter too. Right?
A
And yes, that's linked in our show notes.
B
We'll link both in our show notes.
A
Yes, for sure. But aside from that verst launched makeup, they did the whole gamut from complexion. Like they've got a skin tint with SPF 40 for 20 bucks. They've got a concealer, blush sticks, bronzer sticks, you know, defining mascara, all of that stuff. Lip, cheek, the works. And it's not in Canada yet, but we know that shoppers drug market carries versed skin care. So I wouldn't be surprised if it's coming. Right. So you probably want to know what my favorite was from what I tried.
B
Let's hear it.
A
Am I right? Okay, surprisingly, it's the eyeshadows. So it's like in a twist top from the tube and then you pull it out, it looks like a lip gloss but surprise, it's an eyeshadow. So these are called sheer stay liquid eyeshadows. There's five shades at the moment, 13.99 each. So that's a great price. We talked about with Daniel Martin how this monochromatic moment is in. So what I like about this product is I use it very much the way that I use violette FR the Y paint. The Y paint Y E, U, X.
B
The French word for eyes.
A
That's right. And I would say this is a bit. A bit of a dupe. Okay. But I use it the same way, so I just, like, spread it across my lash line and I get this beautiful shimmer. Okay. But if you start to work with it right away and you don't let it dry down, I just go in concentric circles with my little round brush.
B
And your lash line kind of thing.
A
Take it up to the crease and then just blend it out. Blend it out. And what I like about this one is that there's actually a lot less shimmer than you think when you first put it on. Like, I'm not a big shimmer girl. So at first I was just gonna bin all of these and then I was like, oh, it actually blends out, so it's really pretty. And then I go in. So this doe foot applicator, if you flip it, you can really get kind of a harder line along your lash line. So then I do that and I kind of let that dry down. So you're getting like two tones of the mono. Monochromatic color using the same product.
B
It's like two intensity levels.
A
Yeah, two intensity levels. So I actually really like that. I think this one's not as pigmented as the violette, but like I said, you can see here on my hand, Jill, like, the difference between if you blend it or not is actually pretty huge and you actually do get a decent amount of payoff. So I think these are pretty great. I've been wearing it for probably like five hours long, so. Five hours now. And it does say sheer stay. So I think the idea is that it is going to be long wear for 14 bucks. It's not bad. It has all of the same qualities or merits, if you will, averse skin care, meaning it's cruelty free. It's dermatologist tested, vegan, gluten free, all of that. And so I think the target girlies.
B
Are going to get excited about this liquid eyeshadow. I what I think this is a dupe for is the Chanel Ombre. Oh, maybe, Maybe so the Chanel Ombre black, which is their eyeshadow.
A
Yeah, perhaps you're right. Perhaps you're Right. So, yeah, there you have it. Versed makeup, more to come. There's a whole line, like I said. But this is. This is the one that surprised me.
B
I love that. Just a quick little shout out in terms of skincare and because you got to take off these long wear products. Did you know Victoria Beckham is doing a collab with our favorite product for cleansing? Do you know what it is?
A
No.
B
The Bioderma.
A
No, wait.
B
They're turning 30 this year and they tapped Victoria Beckham, relatable queen.
A
Oh, my God.
B
So they have like a special packaging that's so chic. It's on its way to me right now. 20 U.S. and 25.99 in Canada. It's going to be at shoppers exclusively on March 10th. So run, don't walk. I'm letting you know now. And that product is still so iconic 30 years later. Wow.
A
And it'll be available in the US as well.
B
Yeah. 20 bucks. And it's got her kind of stamp on it, like a very. Like a limited edition packaging.
A
Is there anything different about the formula?
B
No, she. She is just talking about. She's. That she's a longtime user of this product and that she. She thinks that this product kind of beautifully merges her realms of beauty, fashion and dermatology. Her interest. And because it's such a backstage secret, of course, as we all know, like, I mean, I just think this is a genius collaboration on the part of Bioderma.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
And one sells every second already. Already.
A
Yeah. Well, I'm a long time.
B
Yeah, we talked about that probably in our very first episode.
A
Oh, God. Yeah. It's in our hall of fame. It will never leave.
B
A little bit of beauty news for you guys who are kind of like collectors, technically.
A
We have tried it. I. The same formula. Love it. Love it. Same price, same formula. Can't wait to see the packaging. We'll put it on our blog on our website under Episode Recaps, everybody.
B
Yes.
A
So what should we talk about next? Should we talk about this Estee Lauder Double Wear? Stay in place. Concealer. Did you try it?
B
I did not try it.
A
Ah.
B
It was. The color that I got was unfortunately too light for me.
A
Oh.
B
But I am a long time fan of Double Wear. I mean, Double Wear foundation I've worn on camera for many years. And Double Wear foundation is in fact hot tip what all of the Olympic girlies wear. And my girlfriend from who lives in Georgia, who just messaged me because her daughter is starring as Elle woods in Legally Blonde, asked me which foundation her daughter should wear on stage as Elle Woods. And I said, duh, double wear get.
A
Out of course, under stage light. So I love to hear it.
B
It definitely is an iconic products.
A
So what it.
B
Okay, well I, I would eventually try it, but of course I just didn't have the right color.
A
Okay, well I'm gonna, I'm gonna do the review then. Yes, it's the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Concealer 38 US 47 in Canada, launched mid February. Building of course on the success of the iconic Double Wear Foundation. The number one foundation in the US according to Circana.
B
Doesn't surprise me.
A
Pardon me.
B
Good enough for Simone Biles winning a gold. Good enough for me.
A
Right. And. And the whole thing about double wear, correct me if I'm wrong, is just that it does not move. It stays in place. But you can move your face and it doesn't get cakey. That that's what it is. Right.
B
It's like sweat proof, humidity proof it. But your face isn't cracking off and it's not all cakey. And yeah, it blends very well.
A
Right. So it really like hits that sweet spot. And so that's the whole idea behind this concealer is that it's delivering that same long wear, you know, excellence in a lightweight formula, like blurring imperfections, all of that with 24 hour wear. The all the other thing that's great about it, and I'm sure this is why you're a fan of the foundation as well, is that it's said to be non acne genic.
B
Exactly.
A
Dermatologist tested all of that. So it's not going to make you break out. So I think that's why like oily skin. Girlies really like this formula as well.
B
It's just performance. It's just like rock solid performance that people would ride in the streets.
A
Yeah.
B
If it was gone. Truly.
A
Yeah. Yeah. So I tried the, the concealer. Now the first time I tried it, I put it on my chin, which is getting quite creepy. Just the real talk. I'm in desperate need of a facial and you know, I'm getting a little. Nobody's getting younger here. It's our eighth year and I found it was like a little bit. It stayed all day, which was great. But I was like, if I were, if I had 10 years younger skin, this would be a lot better. Like I just felt like my skin's maybe a little dry for it. But I used it the next time and I put it under my eyes where I'm not as dry or crepey. And I also used a beauty blender instead of my fingers to rub it in and I just felt I got much better where. But I also put it in the redness where I had got redness under my nose and I did, I just found it stayed put and I think it's another hit.
B
I do, I find. Well, what surprised me about looking at it from, from the get go is how big it is in terms of the actual size of the product. I was like, I feel like they are trying to create a Double Wear product for people who don't really wear Double Wear foundation, if that makes sense.
A
Well, we, we know you want to.
B
Get introduced to into the universe.
A
Yes.
B
Of Double Wear. But you're like I don't want to have the whole face going on. So I think that they are anticipating that people are going to be wearing it all over.
A
Yes. Well, Michaela makeup who they hired, they partnered with for the launch. So if you go to her tick tock, she does like a full complexion just using this concealer and it does look beautiful. It does look flawless. So I agree with you. I think it's, it's kind of a larger size so you can do your whole face. But I do want to point out that I found this product confusing to Google because there was an existing Double Wear Stay In Place Flawless Long Wear cream concealer. In fact, for me it's still at Sephora in I believe I'm on the Canadian website right now. See, and it's in this rounded tube.
B
Yeah.
A
So I, I had gone back to the PR and so she wrote to clarify the Double Wear Stay In Place concealer. That's the new one we're talking about is a completely new product and formula from the previous Double Wear Flawless Wear concealer. Key differences of the new Double Wear Stay in Place concealer instantly hydrates for a more comfortable wear extended shade range. So I don't know if I mentioned the shade range but there are 30. There is this 3D sculpting wand duplicator, whatever, whatever soft focus matte finish that blurs in for imperfections and you know, it's supposed to be more comfortable to wear and micro silica spheres for powerful oil control. So it still sounds like a reformulation to me. But you know, I don't want to, I don't want to argue with anybody. So I guess it's a whole new formula but it sounds like it might be replacing something.
B
So just for everyone out there, if you are shopping for this look for like a square.
A
Yeah.
B
Like a. Yeah.
A
Rectangular tube as opposed to the cylinder. I do think that could be helpful just to.
B
As a visual clue.
A
Yeah.
B
Recently I'm going away from like long wear concealers and I'm really into the typology concealer serum that they had sent us. And I've been wearing that and it's really all I want to wear.
A
Oh, that's great.
B
Yeah.
A
The lightweightness of it all.
B
It's just. It just, it just looks really good under the eyes. I don't know how to describe it. It's like the five minute face concealer.
A
Right.
B
The typology, I believe. I can't even remember the exact name of it. And full disclosure, we partnered with them on social media, not on the podcast. But they did send it to me. So I've been wearing it and I really like it. Very French girl.
A
Yeah. Well, I think it's interesting that the skin tints are now becoming long wear.
B
Yes.
A
Because I don't think that we talked about that. Easy to do.
B
Yeah, we talked about that. I can't remember if it was this year or last year, but we were talking about how we want it all.
A
Yeah.
B
How it's like you want a tint but it has to last and.
A
Yeah.
B
And that could be for a lip product, a skin product, and it is definitely the. The vibe right now.
A
Yeah. So one of them that has definitely struck my eye. This is the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip 12 Hour Hydrating Gel Skin Tint. It's $36 USD and 49 in Canada.
B
Yeah, I see it going viral on TikTok right now. So. Yeah, I haven't tried it myself. So tell me.
A
Okay, well, this one comes in 15 shades and I will say that typically with skin tints, my. It doesn't work great for my skin because I have rosacea. I have kind of normal to dry skin and I just find they're not giving me enough coverage. I can see every line. It just kind of frustrates me. Even if I want to do the concealer look without a lot under it, it's like, why even have the tint? So I'm just not a big fan. So I tend to like the ones that have a little bit more coverage. The Ilia, I find I can build up like a little bit more. So I do wear that one in the summertime. But I feel like this Milk Makeup Hydro grip is just very different in texture. Maybe the reason I like it is because it is like just a touch more coverage, a touch more foundation. And it feels a lot different than the other tints that are on the market to me. What I like about it is it's that signature gel formula that you get with the Hydro Grip Primer. But it's kind of like blended like the tinted moisturizers of your, you know, or like the CC cream from IT cosmetics, where it was just like a little bit more umph to it. That's what I feel like this is. But it gives you this, like, beautiful dewy glow where. And again, just like the Hydro Grip, it kind of glides over your skin. It's probably silicone mama. And it's. But it's like filling in pores and, like, fine lines. And that's the ironic thing about this product is it's like a very Gen Z kind of blue color with, like, purpley silver luminescent writing. But I really think it might be great for mature skin.
B
Probably. I mean, I think. I think a ton of people who are not 20 love that grip primer for that reason.
A
Yeah.
B
And weirdly, the grip primer is meant for oilier skin types. And I don't like it.
A
I know this is. I'm shockingly into it. I don't know what it is.
B
Well, I love the price point. And I think that they do formulation very well at Milk Makeup.
A
They do.
B
Their eyeliners are fantastic. I still wear them. The long wear eyeliners. They do not move.
A
Yeah.
B
Their cheek colors, they came out with last year, the Popsicle, the push pop kind of idea. Their contours are fantastic. They. They do formulation very well.
A
Yeah. They don't do packaging very well, though. And we said that before, and this one is no exception. I went and looked at the reviews online, and this hasn't happened to me for some reason. But people are saying I think they're squeezing too hard, but they're saying this is, like, running all over the place. They would never.
B
Kind of like. It's a tube with a nozzle, everyone.
A
Yeah.
B
So the nozzle is exploding kind of.
A
That's what they're saying is it's, like, actually dripping and getting so messy.
B
It actually has quite a large. Most nozzle applicators have quite a fine tip on them. This one looks like you could accidentally squeeze out too much.
A
Yeah, exactly. And then the last thing I will say that might end up being a bit of a con. It comes in 15 shades. And I do think because it has, like, a little bit more coverage to it, I don't know that that's enough for the. For dark skin. Tones.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, I could see that maybe coming up where it's just. They're missing some. I think they'll need to extend it.
B
Well, I. I will definitely try that. And speaking of bad packaging happening to great products, that happened to me in this testing process with the latest in beauty project, Redness Reducing Serum. It's like a dual chamber.
A
Yeah.
B
And I loved the result and I hated the packaging. And I wasn't alone because, like so many people were ripping on it online. And I was like, I can't. I can't recommend this because you end up wasting product because of how bad the packaging is. And I've talked about many products over the years that have done that and it's like they just need to. Sometimes it's a little too clever. Yeah. And it doesn't need to be. And so that was my. That's my little mini review on that. Something that didn't make the cut because I'm like.
A
And it's strange. It's strange because looking at it online, it just looks like the Clarins double serum where it's got that double chamber. Like, what's the problem?
B
It's. It doesn't come out evenly. They don't pump evenly.
A
Oh.
B
And therefore you'll end up with too much of the green and not of the serum. And it's just a frickin mass. And if you go on Sephora and you scroll down, you will see. Or like.
A
Yeah.
B
There's plenty of people talking about it. And it's like one side will like stick.
A
Yeah.
B
And not the other. And it's like. No, the idea is that you're getting them out at the same time and mixing it together and you get that like color correction. And I love a lot of their formulas and I'm sure that they're working on that right now.
A
Okay. All right.
B
Well, there you have it.
A
I'd be curious, once they fix it, to try it with all of my skin redness.
B
Yes.
A

Quince is one of our show partners this week. I love brands that are all about celebrating everyday luxuries and Quince is definitely one of them. It's my go to for luxury essentials at affordable prices. Quince offers a range of high quality items at prices within reach. Like they have 100 Mongolian cashmere sweaters from $50. I own two of those and I wore them so much. I love layering them with like a little white T shirt underneath and then like a blazer on top. It's just such great quality and I love the color palette that they have as well. They even have washable silk tops and dresses so it's like you get that silk look but it's no muss, no fuss. You're not going to the dry cleaner all the time. And the piece that I have my eye on right now is for spring, a 100% organic cotton gauze long sleeve shirt. I would live in this. And there's so many colors. It looks so comfortable and that is 44.90. I mean such great value. And the best part is that all Quince Items are priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands. And because they're partnering directly with top factories, Quince cuts out the cost of the middleman and passes the savings on to us. So give yourself the luxury you deserve with Quince. Go to Quince.com Beauty for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. That's Quince.com Beauty spelled Q-U-I-N-C-E.com Beauty to get free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.com Beauty will link to this offer in our show notes, notes and on our website. Now back to the show.
A
Okay, are we done with skin tints? Where are we going now?
B
I have one that I'm gonna. I teased as something nog that had a glow up.
A
Okay, tell me more.
B
You're not even gonna believe that I'm talking to you about the Laura Mercier Skin tint, which was the Laura Mercade tinted moisturizer, everyone.
A
And they changed the name. They've rebranded as a tinted. As a skin tint.
B
Laura Mercier Skin Tint. There's two finishes.
A
Oh, no way.
B
One's Natural Dewy.
A
Yep.
B
And the other one is matte. I have not tried the matte. Okay, this you would love.
A
Which one?
B
The Skin Tint Natural Dewy.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
It is so good.
A
I need to try it. They must. Laura Mercier must have been so rotted this whole time with the skin tint trend.
B
I feel. I almost felt bad for them.
A
Right. Where they're just like, hi, we've been here from the beginning with our tinted moisturizer. And you gave it a new name and now it's like a thing.
B
Yeah, yeah. So it's the Laura Mercier Skin Tint Natural Dewy Tinted moisturizer they like, but if you look at the packaging, it just says Skin tint.
A
Yeah.
B
And it's US$50.68 in Canada. And of course, last year, we can't forget, they went viral for their flawless foundation. I don't. They're having a bit of a moment. Made it sell out. It was like the number one foundation at Sephora for a solid six months. Months.
A
Yeah.
B
So they've been like, tweaking formulas and coming back because they were. They kind of bounced around for a while. They were wishing and then they got bought and.
A
Right.
B
So here we are. So that's why so love. For 28 years, Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer has been a staple in beauty bags. Obviously, she got a glow up. So the key innovations are the tinted moisturizer Natural Dewy SPF 30 now comes in 20 shades with cool, neutral and warm undertones. 24 hours of hydration for fresh, plump skin. 16 hour wear.
A
Okay.
B
16 hour wear.
A
Yeah.
B
That was not part of the original. And they have what. What they're saying is raspberry leaf extract in there. Upcycled grape, upcycled black Grape palmas. Never heard of it. To enhance skin's barrier and smooth fine lines and a prebiotic complex. So it just has a lot more skin care benefits in it. It has a long wear claim now. And I love this. I will. I've been wearing it.
A
Okay.
B
Kind of obsessed with it.
A
It's always been damn good. I'm pretty sure it's in our hall of fame also.
B
Yeah.
A
So I'm. I'm very curious to try it. And honestly, it's always been a dream of mine to have Laura Mercier on the show. Like, I don't know where she is in the world, what she's doing, but it's an open invitation because. But we have to sit down in person.
B
Of course.
A
And we need old school tricks that still hold up. Like, she was just like such a skin woman.
B
I still use Full full stop. I still use her loose powder. It's still the best.
A
Yeah.
B
I love it. And so it's great for an everyday five minute phase. The one thing I will say is in Canada, they don't claim the spf. So I accidentally did put it all around my eye, whatever.
A
And I was.
B
That's. That's a. No, no, don't do that. But it has a light, slight bit of mica in there toward the bottom of the inky list. And I think that's just giving this gorgeousness and the la. The staying power is impressive.
A
Yeah. Okay.
B
Well, you're taking the product that as you're coming out of winter.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
This is the one you want.
A
Okay.
B
For spring.
A
All right, I got it. Well, I think those are probably two amazing complexion products. I guess technically three. I love that. And of course, complexion is just growing and growing and growing whole. Could have missed Gucci Westman with her beautifully packaged little blue drops on Instagram.
B
I. It's funny, I never saw these at all.
A
Are you serious?
B
Yeah.
A
Oh, my gosh.
B
We probably get served different ads.
A
Yeah, yeah, exactly. So I'm holding them up. These are the Westman atelier sun tone hydrating matte bronzing drops. And they come in four shades, so they're beautiful. So it's like a light kind of Tiffany turquoise, like a bit of a darker one. There's like a beautiful green and some other color. So it just looks like Vacation Riviera, you know, and she's so. She's so great at creative directing. Right. The look and feel of these products in addition to the products and just bringing her prowess to it.
B
Talk to me about the price. I'm bracing for it.
A
Bracing for 58 US each, and they're not large. And 79 in Canada. And funny enough, three out of four shades are sold out at Sephora Canada already.
B
I'm gonna say something just to give people a little. It looks like a vape. It does.
A
Okay, so let's get into it. What is it? It's a featherweight liquid bronzer. It's a soft matte finish with no shimmer, which I really like. I've been a fan of this idea for a long time. I kind of sometimes can interchange bronzers and contours. I tend to apply them always in that way. Even the, say, glowy super gel, I'll put in the hollows of my cheeks and along my hairline and my jawline, and, you know, that's. That's kind of my thing. So she launched this one, I think, with the idea that it would be that it's kind of that skin care esque makeup product. Now the only thing is, she says that it's perfectly balanced bronze tones. I do find them a bit reddish, like, even the Paler, you know, 1. What does this one say? It is Jill 1 or 2 or 3 or 4.
B
1.
A
1. So that's the lightest one.
B
Soleil Parfait 1.
A
Yeah. So this is the lightest one. That's probably 2.
B
Yeah. Soleil Parfait 2.
A
Yeah. So I'll show you one on my hand gel. Or maybe you can put it it on your hand or, you know, I.
B
Don'T have a. I don't have a wipe, everyone. So we'll just let you do the demo.
A
Here's the swatching. I'm quite a pale person. Like, it's just a bit warm, you know, for. For what it. Like when you blend it in, it can kind of. It can look a little self tanner.
B
Esque, I will say.
A
Yeah. However. So when I first put it on, I was like, you know, it's supposed to be no streaky. And I was like, I don't know if I love this as much as I should love it for the money. However, I put it on with a brush when I used it the second time, whereas the first time I just tried to use my fingers because I'm lazy like that, and I got a much, much better result. And so I did it just like she did it in the video. Like I said, you do kind of like that number three on each side. And I do think it's really pretty. It blended in really well. I used a touch of the number two on top just to get that dimensional look like she does. Now. Do you really need this product for the amount of money it is? I'm going to say no. If you're in Canada, Salty Face has a liquid bronzer that's $42 Canadian. And I love it. It's. It's like barely any shimmer. Pretty much, for all intents and purposes is a soft matte. One of my favorite complexion products, period, regardless of where it's from. And kind of like the makeup by Mario Soft Sculpting Bronzing serum, which is also a very good product and a lot less expensive. So I think it's just like, look, are you an atelier, atelier Westman girl and you want to add to the collection? Go for it.
B
It is.
A
It is a good product, but I think you can also find others elsewhere. Yeah, you know, even the say beauty.
B
Is half the price.
A
Do bronzing things are. Are quite nice as well.
B
That's great. So many options. Well, I'm gonna hit you with a powder powder bronzer really quickly. And this is from the Dior Forever line. And the whole thing with Dior Forever is that it's long lasting. And they've come out with four new shades. It's the Forever Nude Bronze. And the shade that I prefer the most is soft matte. And then they have medium matte. And the four new colors are light matte, soft matte, warm matte, and intense matte. And they do cover a wide variety of skin tones. And so that's the Dior Forever. Now, my favorite of the range is that they came out with Jumbo. So they have Dior Forever Nude Bronze Jumbo. So there's four shades there. It's soft matte, medium matte, tan matte, and deep deep matte. And those do cover all a wide variety of skin tones. The Jumbo Bronze is US$64 and 86 in Canada. Now, let's get real. This is something you want to pull out of your purse.
A
It has a freaking gorgeous. You guys.
B
Yeah, like, it has. It's. It's the full size of my palm. Full size of my palm. And it has a tan cover that's stitched and it has the gorgeous CD in the middle. It's a silver compact. And then you open it up and of course, it has the quilted bronzer. Absolutely stunning.
A
It all matches like the lady Dior bag, the kind of quilting.
B
Exactly. And I just feel like that is having such a moment right now. And the other thing that they have done, Carlene, because, you know, I Know, you're typically someone who prefers a cream product, but if you do want long, long wear bronzer, this is a good one to look at because the new and improvement of this is they've added hyaluronic acid to the formulation. So interesting. It doesn't have my personal opinion for my skin. It doesn't drag as much as like some other matte powdered bronzers might. Now in this forever collection, they also came out with luminizers. They sent me those. I haven't tried them, but those are like, pow. In terms of the powder highlight. Like, you'll. It's still beautiful and sophisticated, but it is. It is very luminescent. A little bit too much for someone like me with oily skin. I prefer like a matte bronzer like this. And it's got it's buildable coverage. It's transfer proof, which is something that I am looking for in my summer spring makeup. And this is gonna sell out everywhere. Absolutely. And it still has a natural finish. When you're talking about those tones, that is what's so hard to get right with bronzer. And I think that they have done a very, very good job.
A
Yeah.
B
And streak free as well. Very important.
A
Very important. Now, if you're new around here, you might not know, but Jill has more oily skin types. Right. Would you ever use one of these cream products that I mentioned, or are you more geared toward powder when it comes to like bronzing, contouring and stuff?
B
Given that this is like a spring episode going into spring. Yes. I am wearing. I'm looking for powder.
A
Okay.
B
But in the winter, dead of winter, maybe the makeup and Mario I have used in the winter, things like that, the say isn't really for me. It slides off because I'm too oily. So this, when I hear the word forever. And Dior. Yeah. Match made in heaven. Because I want it to last.
A
Yes.
B
And I. I want to have the. I know that they're going to take it to a different level with Peter Phillips there, a makeup artist who has just been crushing it in terms of knowing the tones right and getting it right.
A
Right.
B
And I'm not going to be mad about pulling this out of my bag either.
A
Today's episode is brought to you in part by Beam Kids. So at the time of recording this is March break, my kids are at home. I have an 11 year old who is going through that stage where he's decided that he has no interest in fruits or vegetables, only wants to eat white foods. I'm talking about, you know, bread and chicken only. We're missing some food groups. I know you guys feel me. Every kid goes through this stage. It's annoying. And he also doesn't want to take any supplements. It's like it could be a gummy. Doesn't matter. He knows that that's not candy and he's not having it. So this is why I'm so excited to introduce you to Beam Kids all in one super powder. It just launched and you need to get your hands on it today. It has more than 40 essential ingredients to fuel healthy growth, including greens, pre and probiotics, fruits and vitamins. And what's even better, it comes in a chocolate milk flavor that kids love. I mean, we're going to be making this as soon as I get off this microphone. The best part is pediatrician formulated so you know you can trust it. It's also co created by Olympic gold medalist and mom, Shawn Johnson. How cool is that? And it has 87.5% less sugar than the most common low sugar gummies on the market. And yet it has 13 times the vitamins than other common kids supplements. The fact that it's pediatrician approved and it has third party testing for allergens and contaminants just makes you feel so secure that you know you can throw it in the blender, add it with 8 ounces of water and milk, shake it, stir it, and it's going to be delicious and healthy. So Beam Kids is now available online@shopbeam.com beauty and because you're a listener of our show, you can take advantage of their limited time pricing of up to 30, 25 off plus two free gifts using code BEAUTY. Get your beam Kids and your free gifts by heading over to shop beam.com beauty and enter the code beauty. That's shop b a m.com beauty and use code beauty for up to 35 off. And now back to the show. Okay, there is another trend. A foot everybody. And it is sheer lip liner. Back to that kind of like blurring trend. So two of them have launched. One of them is the Road peptide lip shape 24 US 39 in Canada. Comes in 11 shades. And a lot of people hated this product. I think part of it was for the price. Especially in Canada, you're getting up to $40. The expectation did not meet what you got. Now I'm going to compare it to another product that launched, which I love. It's the Merit Beauty Signature Lip Sheer liners. I'm holding it here. It's much more chic and grown Up. I would say this, launched actually just yesterday, is $33 in Canada. So maybe it's going to be like 22 in the U.S. i'm not sure. Comes in eight shades. Now, I think what happened with Rhode Peptide Lip shape is that when they describe what it is, they describe it as a lip shaper for contoured lips. I don't think that is an accurate description of what this product is. So what what it is, it's a creamier formula than your typical lip liner. So it's going to give you a softer focus effect.
B
Overall, it almost looks like an eyeshadow stick.
A
That's right. That's right.
B
So because it doesn't have a nice sharp, sharp point.
A
Exactly. Now I actually like that because I don't like that hard lip liner look. I think it's kind of like a bit dated. Like it looks good if you're doing like nudes and browns and stuff like that. But if you're trying to do like a brighter shade, I don't like that at all. Yeah. So I don't mind the fact that it's like wider like that and then you flip it and it has this other, like rubber end to it where it looks like a magic marker. It's kind of angled and that's where you can actually blur it out, which is cool. But not everybody liked that. I think this is a play on. Remember the Revlon one that went. That rubber makeup applicator that went viral on Tick Tock? I think it's like a play of that so you don't have to use your finger to blur, which is like, not hygienic. But I will say that the cap keeps falling off on me, like in my bag, so that's not going to make it hygienic. But I think the problem with this is, like, not a bad thing, that it gives you this blurred effect. I think I personally like that it's a very easy wearing. You can do this in the back of a cab, throw on that lip gloss and make it look juicy. But it's not really accurate to say it's contoured lips that's the problem. It's like mismarketed. And I think that's where it set up an expectation. Because the lip, the lip look that Haley Bieber has been wearing for the past year that everybody has been wearing and loving is that darker lip liner where it is quite defined and then like a lighter or different gloss over top where you still see the lip liner. So in fact, this lip liner makes no sense to get the look that she's wearing. So while I like it on its own, it doesn't to me, make sense for this brand or for the consumer or for Hailey Bieber. So that's where I think it kind of went wrong. I think that the formula itself is o. Is. Is decent. I think the idea is decent. The shades are the best part about it. It's all caramel browns, mochas, you know, plums, 90s, like, all of that that she's giving. Yeah. But I think they set up the expectation incorrectly. And then, of course, the peptide, that's their signature ingredient that's supposed to help kind of like, you know, boost hydration, all that. I think that's a bit of a crock when it comes to a lip liner. That's just me now, if you do.
B
Yeah. I think she was just trying to do too much. I think she was trying to make it too different. Different. And in the process, lost. Lost in translation. But, you know, what do we know? She sold $90 million worth of stuff in Q4 last year. Yeah. And she has a beautiful new store in la, which I absolutely want to go to. So, you know, I think it's just. Just one of those, you know, I. I agree. Maybe they'll need to tweak the. The talking points, the messaging, but she's still selling a ton of them.
A
Yeah. I just think it was like. I think it was one of those things where it was trying to be different, and it got lost in what was authentic and what was trending. So that's the thing there. But aside from that, like, listen, I would. I'm fine.
B
It's very creamy. I would use it also.
A
I will use it. I like it. It, but not. It's not the contoured lip look. Sorry. Now, another product that has this, like, sheer, because, like you said, when you use that rubber thing, it's shearing out the lip liner. So this is another one. It's called Merit Beauty Signature Lip Sheer Liners. I think I mentioned this. I did $33 in Canada, eight shades, maybe it's going to be around 20 bucks in the US and it's got kind of a broader pencil at the end. It doesn't go into a point.
B
What are people doing?
A
I like this, though, Jill. I like it. I don't like that. Sharp. Sharp. I'm talking. I can't talk while I do it. I actually like it. I think it's more flattering. Like, the way that I used to apply lip liner is. You can't see me because it's on camera. You know, when you do this to your lips, you straighten them out so that you can clearly see and define the line. Do you know what I'm talking about?
B
No. You've never done that? No, Never? No. I do the method where it's a crisscross on the cupid's bow. I learned this from a makeup artist. And you hold a pencil there. Katie Hughes. Katie. Jane Hughes does this very well. Okay, we'll link to it. And it's just you up there. Crisscross here, here, and then just there. Never touch the corners. Really.
A
Okay. But you don't go like this to get the line straight.
B
No.
A
Okay. Well, what I used to do. I don't know how many of you have done this, but you kind of.
B
Oh, I think, yeah, you. She's like, smiling wide, like the joker kinda. Yeah.
A
So that you could. It's straight and you can see the line. You're not gonna get bumpity bump bumps. And I didn't. That's why I was getting a super defined look that I did not like.
B
Here comes JLo, everyone. So. So I know what you mean.
A
When lip liners kind of started popping off last year, I would leave my lips. Lips completely loose, kind of like puffy, like, I. You know what I mean? And then I would apply the lip liner that way. And I like it so much more because I know I'm not the only one who applies their lip liner like that.
B
Yeah, no. I think everybody's has their own method.
A
But what I have found is it's completely changed. I get a more voluminous, like, puffier lip look rather than that defined look that I was getting before. So I. That's why I've, like, like fallen back in love with lip liners. And that's why I like this broader pencil, because I find it gives you a more kind of voluminous. That bit of blur actually, like, does you favors in that area. I also like that with this pencil, you can flip it and there's a sharpener on the other end, which is always helpful. I hate a separate sharpener. The shades are stunning. They're these beautiful, like, again, like the browns, the beiges, everything that's on point. And Tracee Ellis Ross. This actually wore this before it launched. Her makeup artist, Molly Greenwald used it on her at the after party. The Oscars Vanity Fair after party. I'm just gonna do a quick mention about a combo that everybody needs to try. So I used the liner in bespoke and the Jill, you mentioned that these are existing.
B
Yeah, the. The lip slick, right?
A
Yeah. The shade slick product, it's it like lift lip color, I guess you call it. So they actually.
B
It's a lip oil is what it is.
A
Is that what it is?
B
Okay.
A
So they actually launched a new finish in this product. It's a sheen. It's the shade slick sheen. And it combines the classic finish with the jelly formula. It has like just a little bit. It's a semi opaque wash of light color with a pearlescence finish. And when you wear these two together.
B
Love it.
A
Oh, my God, you guys.
B
I will say that kiss.
A
What is the shade? So we can tell everybody.
B
It's twin set.
A
Twin set. You have to get that with the liner. Bespoke. Wear these together. Oh, my chef's kiss, right? Am I right?
B
Yeah. I mean, I haven't tried the lip liners yet, but I, I trust you and I will say they're sheer, but.
A
They do last longer than the rose.
B
Merit is such a trendy brand and I will be very honest right here and now, think what they do the best is lips. Everything else I'm kind of like, like I've, I've. The foundation. It's not really for me.
A
I concur.
B
This is, this is the bet, what they do best. And I'm glad that they're sort of doubling down on that. My opinion, I totally agree.
A
I, I haven't been uber impressed. I love the branding. I've been uber impressed with the branding, but the actual formulations themselves, these are the first two products that I actually love and will. Will actually continue to use.
B
I had emptied one of the shade slicks back in the day.
A
Okay.
B
I used it one summer constantly. So it is good. It was one of the OG lip oils before Summer Fridays came out with one, before everybody came out with one. So I think that they've done that very well. And speaking of juicy lips, I just want to turn you on to a product that's dermatologist backed that I've been trying because I do feel like you're sort of in that rebirth mode. I mean, the first day of spring is in a couple of days, and nobody wants to be going around with lips that look like you need to chug water. We've all been around those people. Okay. You're talking about these lip looks. You need your lips, the skin on your lips to look good. And that's why I'm here to talk about Dr. Idris. By the way, everyone in Canada are friends in Canada. Dr. Idris the dermatologist, a.k.a. pillow Talk. Derm.
A
Formerly known as. Formerly known as.
B
Her line just dropped at Sephora in Canada, so we can finally get it here. So she came out with, with two products. You can buy them together or separately. It's the Dr. Idris barrier based lip basting duo. $44 and it's like around 60 in Canada to buy them separately. They're 24 US each or 34 Canadian each. And so what she's done here is come out with a lip peel. It's it, it's barrier based lip peel exfoliating lip basting serum. And why I really like this Carlene is that it has a rollerball.
A
Oh yeah.
B
On the end.
A
Like the old school from the 80s.
B
Yeah, kind of. It is a bit of a throwback in terms of application.
A
I love that.
B
But it's got mandelic acid in there, which I love already for, and I've been a fan of for breakout prone skin. But I just know that it's a very gentle exfoliating acid. So what you do is you put this on before bed and then you put the lip base, the treatment, lip basting balm on top and you wake up with like super smooth lips. I have been carrying this lip balm around as my lip combo. I've been using a lip pencil for makeup forever. And just this lip balm. Yeah, I really, really, I remember her.
A
Talking about lip basting when she was on our show. I can't remember which time.
B
She had a viral video.
A
Yes.
B
For that, for this hat.
A
This is her thing, lip basting. So she, you know, it's so genius that she's turned it into an actual product duo.
B
It had 9, 8.5 million views. Her lip basting hack, the original video.
A
Yeah, I mean, I mean somebody who was on our show talked about where innovation comes from being hacks or where they look for ideas. So that's genius. And we're going to link to one of her episodes and episode recaps and.
B
Why I do think it's interesting. Carlene is like, like we've seen lip scrubs, lip this, use sugar, messy. Ain't nobody got time for that. I can throw this on before bed. And because it is a rollerball and it's contained and it's not messy and I know a dermatologist created it. It's like a gentle exfoliation. No brainer, truly.
A
Yeah.
B
So if you're like, as you always say, lazy, slash busy, go for it. And I realize it's like a little Bit of an investment, but. But I. I definitely have noticed that I just have sensitive lips in general. I don't like using scrubs on them because I find the lip area is very sensitive. So. So I've been using. I got it, opened it immediately, started using it that night, and I'm. I'm loving it.
A
Yeah. Interestingly, I talked about this concept about probably six years ago on the show with one of my damn good products, By Clay Cosmetics, cle. And they used to have a trio. I still have it at home. And it was. Course I do. No, just because it's so unique. I had to keep it, I'm telling you. But it was a trio. And it was like the most genius. I've never seen a package like this. It's like you opened it like a pack of cigarettes and there were three products inside. It's been discontinued.
B
Okay.
A
Now, but it was. The first one was like a lip peel, and it. So it used like chemical exfoliants. And then the second one was like an oil, so that would be what you based with. And the third one was a tinted shade, like a color. And it was this trio. And I remember I talked about it and I was like, this is the most genius product I've ever seen before.
B
It's time, everyone.
A
It was before. It's time. I don't know why it got discontinued, but there. That's a K beauty company. And it was so clever. So somebody had to. Somebody had to do it.
B
Yeah. And I mean, it just makes all kinds of sense. Dr. Idris. Love her.
A
The product I've been having in my bag constantly for my shredded lips lips is the Guerlain Kiss Kiss B Lift. Have you seen that one?
B
I think so, but I've not tried it.
A
Yeah, it's like a lip primer. I think they had it before, but they just reformulated it.
B
Okay.
A
This is like if Burt's Bees had a glow up. Like a massive Hollywood glow up. That would be the Guerlain version, which is like $50.
B
No. It's so chic to have those elevated basics, as it were. But totally speaking of Guerlain, I need to shout out a product. It's the By Royale Youth watery oil serum.
A
Oh, this collection is just so stunning.
B
$110 and 139 Canadian for 30ml. So they have other sizes, too. Smaller, bigger. Price varies accordingly. So this is a serum version of their watery oil.
A
Give it to me. Give it to me, Give it to me. I want to try it.
B
So I just Say, what is the skincare category they even mean anymore? Like, this is a serum oil. This is a serum version of their watery oil. Like, what? No wonder people are confused. Why, do you know what I mean?
A
Yeah.
B
But for me, I always was intrigued with their youth. Watery oil. But as an oily skin person, I was always like, too much, not really sure. But this. I am loving it. It's face oil. Even oily skin types will love. It's lightweight, it's silky, it's fast absorbing. Now, I will say, if you're sensitive to scent, it's. Yes. They have their own signature scent, created by their house perfumer, Terry Voiser, in this product. Now, it does fade. Like, I put this on at night and I don't notice that. It's like sometimes if skincare is really scented, I can't sleep. It's not like that. It's very. It kind of is about the sensorial journey, putting it on and then it dissipates. But why I love. This is just like an instant radiance boost. It does have three different types of honey in there and it really has a unique texture. Carlene. It's got these little balls in there, like that burst upon application. And that's sort of like delivering. That's like a delivery method for their. For their key ingredients. And I also want to shout out that what really sets this serum apart from the predecessor in this A By Royale line is that it has, and we keep hearing this word senescence, a mechanism in the product where they're killing off zombie cells, cells that are dead and are kind of like polluting the cells around them.
A
Right.
B
So they are actually helping your healthy skin cells to act younger for longer, and we're just going to keep hearing more and more and more about that. Anyways, all of that being said, I normally stay so clear of oils, and I am. I just love this. I love it.
A
Sounds crazy.
B
I feel like I. I wake up and my skin is just more radiant. It's just so nice. And I've worn it on her makeup too, believe it or not.
A
Yeah, I do believe it. Yeah. It's a very nice consistency.
B
Yeah. It's just one of those things that I think is probably selling out everywhere. I love Gearland. I really do.
A
Me too. Me too. Okay, Anything else that's newsworthy that we need to let the people know before we go?
B
Yes. I think our audience loves a skincare find. So I'm going to tell you about one that's got me excited, and it's actually the Medicaid, Liquid Peptides Advanced MP. It's US$92. And by the way, it's finally available in Canada. This is the British skincare brand, Medicaid.
A
Yes, they're one of our partners.
B
Yeah. This is not sponsored though, by the way.
A
That's right.
B
And so it's interesting, over the years, Carlene, you and I have talked about how just certain skincare brands end up working really well. Like jiving with your skin, with your skin.
A
Everybody's different.
B
I've said since day one. Dermalogica is definitely one of those for me. Like I try every single new product that they come out with. You probably have brands like that.
A
Yeah, for sure.
B
What I've discovered since I only tried Medicaid for the first time last year is that actually so many of their products really jive with.
A
They sent us the whole range.
B
Right? Yeah. So I ended up emptying two different moisturizers. I emptied the Liquid Peptides product, which is kind of iconic now at this point. So I was really excited to try this new one. So this is like the grown up sister. This is the big sister to the Liquid Peptides product that we've talked about about before.
A
Okay. Is it like a more intense version?
B
So what they've done is they first of all, they put it in a pump, it's not in a dropper. And they've added growth factors.
A
Okay. So it probably needs to be dark in there, I guess.
B
Yeah. Airless. And the other big difference I would say is this is like, I would say proper anti aging.
A
Okay. Versus we'll say addressing aging.
B
Yeah, addressing. Addressing fine lines, wrinkles, all of that. Which the Liquid Peptides product did, but that was in a dropper. And I feel like that was like an entree product right into peptides.
A
Right. It's like great for plumping and all of that stuff. But this one's like going a step further to target wrinkles.
B
So this is with the growth factors and the peptides. It's really meant to target those deeper lines.
A
Yes. And elevens.
B
Yes. The 11s. Like your, like your sub stack. Everybody go subscribe. But it has.
A
Thanks, Jill.
B
Of course. So the scientists who founded this brand, they said that they were able to shrink growth factors down into mini proteins size. So you get the efficacy at boosting collagen elasticity and you get hyaluronic acid with genuine sustained results, gradually improving the appearance of even deeply set wrinkles over time. And by the way, everyone, they say you can see results in 10 minutes and you kind of do how?
A
How?
B
It's. It's the plumping. It also has lactic acid in there and glycolic, which I find to be really interesting for a peptide product. And you get that instant glow.
A
Okay. Would you use it in the morning, at night?
B
I. I have used both and I felt like probably most people would use this at night, though, because it was a little bit more of that, you know, heavy. Not heavy duty, but it's doing a little bit more heavy lifting because it's got the peptides, it's got the growth factors, it's got glycolic, it's got lactic.
A
Yeah.
B
In there. And that's not easy to formulate without irritating your skin and making you feel like you are, you know, it's just. It's not easy to do without irritating your skin. Full stop. So I've been really liking this. I love that it's in that pump. Like I said, serum texture. You definitely get that brightening thanks to the glycolic acid. And I'm just going to quickly show you the before and afters.
A
Oh, all right. Yeah, I do like that they have that on their website. It's very, like, clinically tested. All of those. Those things that kind of tick the box.
B
So this was after 10 minutes on this model. Is that not insane? Look around her mouth.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Her mouth line is definitely less visible. Interesting. I wonder how long the results last.
B
Well, it's the cumulative thing.
A
Right.
B
Because. But it is. You do get that popping off, like within one use, and then this is another one that's the longer range.
A
Yeah.
B
Wow.
A
Yeah.
B
So it's right away.
A
Yeah.
B
The lines are after 10 minutes and then after eight weeks.
A
Yeah. Amazing.
B
So I recommend I rate it, as the Brits say, I rate it. And by the way, if you do want it, we do have a promo code, which is 20 off, I think.
A
Yeah, that's awesome.
B
Code beauty, if you want. This is not sponsored right now, but I just need to let the people know.
A
