Today on Broadway for Tuesday, October 7, 2025. I'm Broadway Radio's Matt Gaming and I'm.

Tell me on the Sunday podcast Grace Hockey.
A
Grace. We are heading into October. I will be in town coming up next, I guess on Sunday. I am still waiting to hear back from two shows that I was invited to but haven't had anything confirmed yet. But these are the shows that I think so far that I am going to be seeing. I'm confirmed for Tethers, Let's Love and Ragtime. I'm waiting to hear back from Waiting for Godot and Art. And I have purchased tickets to see Just in Time and Hamilton and that if everything goes according to plan, that will leave me with one more slot. I need your expertise. What is something on or off Broadway, Whether it is a new show or something that's been going for a while that I should try to add into this schedule, especially considering I'm doing most of this trip with my friend Heather, who I do a trip with every fall. My friend from college who takes a week off from her husband and kids to come up and do shows with me. So what is something with one slot left that you think we need to see?
B
I think that you got to go see Ginger Twinsies. It's only playing. It's on your list.
A
Okay, yeah, that's on there.
B
Yeah, I think that that would be a good move for sure. Kevin Zak is just so smart and funny and the cast is so brilliant. You have to see it.
A
Okay, so that's an off Broadway option. What's a Broadway option that maybe I have already seen but my friend. Maybe my friend Heather hasn't? That you think is something that everybody should check out? Maybe a current cast that everyone should check out.
B
Yeah.
A
Whether they've seen it or not.
B
You know, I sent some friends over the weekend to see Ann Juliet because they hadn't seen this cast. And Gianna, who is. Was the standby at Hell's Kitchen, is now as Juliet. She is phenomenal. They were in love with her. Everybody had a great time. So if you got not got to see her, she was great. Also, you still got C. Jack for a short time at Hell's Kitchen. So those are the other two that I would. I would say that like you don't want to miss it.
A
Okay. Yeah, those are the C. Jack and Jessica Voskov. It all were definitely possibilities on that list. So I'm just kind of waiting to hear back from the press teams for Gato and Art to see where they slot me in and then we'll figure out where that last that last opening goes. But if you want to hear all about those trips, hear about the Travelogue episodes, head over to patreon.com broadwayradio broadwayradio.com Patreon Now Grace, a few days after I head back from my October trip, it sounds like we're going to have a one night only special concert on Broadway. Again, these are the types of things we love. Little special events slotting into theaters that are dark for a night. And this one will be taking place at the Majestic Theater on Broadway. And we don't exactly know everybody who's going to be involved, but I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of Broadway folks as a part of it. Because the hit animated musical comedy Adult Raunchy Cartoon that airs on Prime Video has been Hotel will officially be doing a concert event on Broadway ahead of its season two premiere. They will be taking over the Majestic Theater on Broadway on October 20th. The show returns to Prime Video on October 29th and we'll have eight episodes, two episodes per week rolling out through November 19th. The concert will be hosted by the lead of the series, Erica Henningsen, most recently of Just in Time on Broadway. But this is a show if you're unfamiliar with it, it's like I said, an adult animated cartoon. Maybe not like adult like in like it's raunchy, but like not something for little kids but teens and above. And it follows Charlie Morningstar, who is the character played by Erica Henningsen, who is the Princess of Hell, as she sets about fulfilling her seemingly impossible dream of opening a hotel called the Hazbin Hotel, which aims to rehabilitate sinner demons. Also included in this cast are Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko, Glenn Blake Roman, Stephanie Beatrix are all Amir Talai are all main cast members. Some other Broadway folks who are recurring characters the aforementioned Jessica Vosk, Christian Borrell, Lily Cooper, Joel Perez, Daphne Rubin Vega, Jeremy Jordan, Christina Alabado Some Broadway people who have been involved as guest stars over the first season James Monroe Iglehart, Don Darrell Rivera, Sarah Stiles, Darren Criss, Patina Miller, Shoba and Orion, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Kevin Delagula, Liz Calloway, Alex Newell, Andrew Durand. Just tons and tons of Broadway people involved with this show. And Grace, this is not something that is like on my radar. Things that I watch. I said before I'm not really an animated fan but like people love this.
B
Show the way that these people are able to go to all of these Comic Cons, the cons that happen across the US throughout the year. It's crazy. Like the fan base is huge. So I totally understand why they're doing this. It's super smart of them and the fact that they have so many Broadway voices featured on it, it's very exciting. So I totally get it. Like it has a massive, massive audience and hopefully they'll be ready to come to New York.
A
And what's cool about this is you can get tickets for free. You can get them through one iota which is like how most like talk shows and stuff in New York and LA fill their audiences. So we'll have a link to the press release in the show notes where you can get it. They are also saying that cosplay is strongly encouraged. As you said Greece, they do all of these cons. So cosplaying, dressing up in costume is a big part of this fandom. So if you want to see all of those folks hopefully singing some songs that you know well, you can definitely have an opportunity to do that at the Majestic in two weeks time. All right, let's go over. We don't have a ton of news today. Things are still a little quiet as other shows are getting up and running. There's most of everybody's efforts are focused on those things that are getting ready to start performances or eventually open. But we talked about this show previously. But Vape, the Grease parody has set an official Off Broadway run. It'll begin performances on October 30th and is currently scheduled to play through December 28th. It's going to run at Theater 555 and it's going to run in repertory with Murdoch the final interview. So it'll bounce back and forth from there. The musical was written by Katie Hogan and Sketchworks Comedy which with lyrics and additional book by Billy Reece and Danny Sales. It'll be directed as it was in its kind of initial incarnations by Jack Plotnick. No cast has been announced. It had a one night only benefit concert at Town hall earlier this year. Amy Spanger, Rachel Dratch and many others were involved. So this should be very fun. Love anything that can kind of like take the the piss out of some of our Broadway favorites. So if that's interesting to you, we will have a link to that in the show notes. Another kind of fun, interesting like event type thing that we can do when you're in New York City, but not it's something that's going to be running every night. The York Theater has announced that it is Going to present the new musical, has anyone seen My Mind on Mondays in November at the Laurie Beechman Theater? So if Monday night is a show, is a night where you don't have a show, things are dark. Normally you can head over to the basement at the Laurie Beechman Theater and see a great show. Written by Bill Russell of sideshow fame and directed by Justin Ross Cohen. It's about anxieties and absurdities of contemporary life. And the cast is fantastic. It includes Aaron Davy, one of my favorites, Taylor Iman Jones, Kelvin Moon Low and Ryan Silverman. If you're going to be in town in November and don't have anything to do on a Monday Grace, this seems like a really great way to spend an evening seeing a new show with a really fun cast.
B
I mean, I love this. And then it also goes into. My recommendation for the Laurie Beachman is that Justin Sargent show, Broadway's horror show, which is on October 29th. I will be there. I'm very excited to go. Justin Sargent is incredible. I know we've talked a lot about him through Rolling Thunder that just played off Broadway, but I'm really excited about this concert that's happening at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. So it'll be my first time there. I've actually never seen a show at the Laurie Beechman. Yeah, yeah. I don't know how, but I just haven't. And so now I'm excited to make that happen.
A
Yeah, it's such a cool, historic venue. Like, I've seen a number of things there, but especially, like, I've seen a couple of Broadway sessions there when they used to be over there before they moved over to Green Room 42. So excited to see what the new version of the Westside Cafe and Lori Beachman look like. All right, so that's a recommendation that you have. I have two video recommendations. Over the weekend, over at the London Palladium, the one and only Rachel Zegler had her first ever solo concert. And as the final performance of the evening, she brought out somebody to help accompany her. And it was the only right honorable Lord Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, and he accompanied her on a rendition of Wishing you were somehow here again from Phantom of the Opera. And Sir Andrew actually said, quote, this is the first time I've ever accompanied anybody in any theater anywhere. So that's pretty special. That is very cool. We'll have video of that as well as some other videos from Rachel's concert. She sang My man from Funny Girl. She sang Fleetwood Mac Song. She sang Stars from Les Mis. She did move on from Sunday in the park with George joined by Ramin Karimloo. She did a couple other songs. It's the White song, Wizard of Oz song. So we'll have those links in the show notes. That is very cool. We will see if Andrew Lloyd Webber and Rachel Zegler work together on a Broadway version of the most recent West End production of Evita anytime soon. And then finally, a recommendation from inside the rehearsal room of Romeo Michelle the Musical, Laura Bell Bundy, Carol Lindsay and the cast sing Businesswoman special. This is a show again that is getting ready to play off Broadway. Um, my expectations for it were very low until they announced the cast because the cast is fantastic. So if you want to see what this obviously incredibly silly and goofy show is going to be like, we will have that link in the show notes. All right, everybody, that's all we have for today.
