Getting them to listen to hot gossip is easy. So here's some drama you could share with your kid. Dude, did you hear about Cassie and Jake? No, but did you hear that vaping can cause irreversible lung damage? And Nicotine affects brain development. Nuh. You don't need to gossip if you want to have an open conversation about vaping. So if you want to get tips on when and how to talk to your kids, visit talkaboutvaping.org brought to you by the American Lung association and the AD Council. Oh, man. I am so curious to see the comment section after you listen to the brand new Awkward Tuesday today. Oh, yep. Hey, welcome to the Second Date podcast. Thank you so much for being here and just let us know. This is what I want. I think this is a really simple question. Is it okay to meet someone that you like at your own wedding? Your own wedding? I can't believe you're actually asking this. Yeah, remember, not just a wedding. I want to clarify. We all meet people at weddings. You know, that's cool, but your wedding. Don't judge yet. Don't judge yet. You gotta hear her story. Okay, it's coming up in just a second, but first, our comment section. Yeah. Ash said my only request for my birthday this year was for my boyfriend to listen to Brooke and Jeffrey with me while we sit in silence and play games on our phones. You guys make me smile everyday. Love from Australia. Happy birthday. That's so great. All right, well, force him to listen to this one as well. Yeah. I hope you're listening to this together. It starts right now. In all the years that we've been doing this show, and especially with this particular Awkward segment, I don't think we've ever had a listener sound this nervous and this flustered, as the woman on the phone did today. Yeah, all this anxiety came over a guy that she hasn't seen or spoken to for three years. Wow. So she knew she needed to take a little bit of a risk and take a little bit of our advice. Oh, yeah. But it was for sure one of the most entertaining phone calls we've ever had the pleasure of listening in on. That was our gift, and we're gonna give it back to you. You're gonna get to hear it in a brand new Awkward Tuesday phone call. Next. It's awkward. It's Tuesday. It's Awkward Tuesday phone call. When you think about the different types of people that you meet at a wedding, there's the constant crier, the overly flirtatious priest. Always at least one. And the guy who thinks that maybe in another life he could have been a professional breakdancer. Oh, yes. Give me the worm again. He's so bendy. Wow. That's just to name a few of them because it's just a giant catalog of interesting characters at weddings. And. And maybe you meet one of the other guests and you think, oh, wow, that person's kind of cute, kind of interesting. Always have prospects. Oh, yeah. That tie that he's wearing over his head. Sexy. Oh, no, he's the drunk one. One of our listeners is looking to reconnect with somebody that she met at a wedding three years ago for just a brief moment. Oh, my gosh. We don't know why it's taken her this long to go for it, but we do want to welcome Denise to the show. Denise, how you doing? I'm well. How are you guys? How could anyone make that type of impact where for three years you're thinking about them? Yeah, I think I need to be more specific. It wasn't a wedding. It was my wedding. Whoa. I know, I know. Maybe she lost the groom and that's what she's talking about. Somebody other than the guy you were marrying, that's who. Oh, yes. It's actually a business associate of my then fiance. So I know him, but I don't know him well. Oh, my God. He's a business. He's in business with your ex. Before we start any of this, are you single right now? We've been separated a year. Okay. Nothing to do with that. It has nothing to do with the guy. Nothing to do with you checking out other men during the wedding. At least it wasn't the overly flirtatious priest that you were interested in. So somebody. Oh, no. I met him in the reception line, and then later he pulled me aside and he was like, you. I wanted to tell you you look stunning. Well, that's what you say to every bride. Yeah. Wow. On my wedding day, every single guest better tell me I look stunning. That's true. You should tell that. I mean, stunning. The word itself. It was like a three minute conversation. Like, we weren't flirting. It's a connection that we had. Okay. And we're talking this wedding or your wedding? That's the first time that you met him? Yes, it is. Is it the only time you've met him? That's the only time I've met him. Wow. That's an impact. So this happened three years ago at your wedding? Why are you coming forward at this point now? Like, what was it about that interaction that you've never been able to forget? It was just the connection. He was able to joke with me, to connect. We had so much in common. It was very sudden and almost like, disrupting. Okay, Brooke is clearly feeling a Little bit skeptical about the whole situation. You can't see the face that she's making, but it's. I mean, are you wanting to call this guy? Is that who we're calling in this awkward Tuesday? Well, here's the thing. I had a friend at the wedding that I tried to hook up with him, but they didn't end up going out. But she has his number. And I brought it up the other day, and she was very encouraging. She was like, why not? She was like this radio show that. This exact thing called Brooke and Jeffrey, like. Right. Well, so you haven't talked to him? We could call him and he's like, oh, I'm taken. And the conversation's over. Sure. Friends with your ex? Like, are they close? Yeah. They still in business together? No. No, no, no. Okay, that's good. Actually. Brooke. Brooke is still skeptical. Is it possible, like, that. This is such a mess. Like, are we sure that this is the right time? That's exactly it. To be going for it. I mean, it doesn't even sound like you're divorced yet. And, like, fine, whatever you guys need to do. But, like. Like, if I met a groom at a wedding and then only three years later he calls me and was like, hey, let's go out, I'd be like, you're nuts. No, thank you. But what if you don't like the same Connection? Yeah, connection. It's like. It's indescribable. Indescribable? Yeah. I mean, they do say sometimes love can be messy. And I can't imagine it getting more messy than meeting the guy at your first wedding. Of course. What a story. Yeah, but that doesn't mean it's not true love waiting to happen, right, Brooke? Don't make that face. We believe in true love, Brooke. I do. I just. I mean, I have thought many times that I was in love with different people, and it turned out I wasn't. Yeah. You know, after initial meetings, like, those first feelings, they can feel big and overwhelming, but they can also feel they're not true. Why do you keep batting your eyes at me when you're saying this, Brooke? I don't understand. They could be a falsehood. Alexis. Where. Where's your head at, Alexis? A lot of red flags. But of course, I'm down to call him for the drama. I mean. Oh, this is just selfishly you want to hear, but at the same time, Denise is in the middle of a separation. It could be kind of a sensitive time. She might be in a fragile stage of her life. Is it really worth taking this risk? It's absolutely worth taking. I've been separated over a year. It's time. Let's go. Yeah. She doesn't sound fragile. Yeah. I'll go after one of my ex husband's colleagues. I mean, what are you wanting to ask him? I don't know if he's ever. What do I say? Like, have you ever thought about me over the past few years? Like, I. I don't know. I. Okay, you're. But you do want to gauge, like, does he have a romantic interest in you at all? Yeah. Okay. I mean, I'm glad we're not calling this a second date update because then we'd have to say. So you met this girl on a first date and she was the bride? Yeah. Yeah. What did you think? I just know I need advice on this. It's going to sound so weird if I just come out of the blue. Yeah. Or it's going to sound super romantic and meant to be. That's what I'm looking for. That's how we're going to frame it. When we come back, we'll give you some solid advice before you see if the guy that was at your wedding three years ago has any romantic interest in you now. He already knows what you look like in white, I guess. Yeah. Yeah, that's good. We'll do it with your awkward Tuesday phone call. Call right after this. Hold on. It's awkward. It's Tuesday. It's awkward Tuesday phone call. We've all been a guest at a wedding, and as the bride is walking down the aisle, you think, dang, if she wasn't getting married right now, I would be all over. I hope not. Okay, maybe not all of us have thought that, but our listener Denise is hoping one guy was a guy named Caleb who actually attended her wedding three years ago, the only time she's ever met him. Right now. Her marriage did not stand the test of time. She's been separated about a year now, but she never forgot Caleb. Yeah. So she's come to us today seeking advice on how to gauge his interest three years after they met at her nuptials. Dang. Definitely a different type of call that we're doing today. But, Brooke, what advice do you have for Denise? Okay, Denise, I got a do and a don't. All right. Okay, go ahead. Okay. Don't bring up the connection that you had at your wedding while you were in a bridal gown. Okay, Don't. Okay, do. Just tell him your friend who gave you his number is putting you up to this. It was all her idea. You've been single for a year and she's like, this is the guy you should call. So I barely remember you, but I'm doing this because my friend wanted me to. Okay, you don't even remember meeting him at your wedding. Barely. Okay. What do you think about that, Denise? Okay. Okay. Oh, okay. All right. We're gonna pretend like you don't even know the guy. And, Jose, what's your advice? Well, I think it's most important that you get on the phone and then talk about whatever. Okay. You said that your chemistry with this guy is so good. In just three minutes, meeting him at your own wedding. Oh. So no matter what you talk about or bring up with him, chemistry is going to take over. Okay. All right. So just natural and normal talk. Whatever comes natural. Normal talk, Exactly. Okay. Okay. I think that's advice. It's vague. Yeah. Answer the phone is my advice. Perfect. Perfect. Okay, well, so we're gonna just start dialing and see if he picks up. We will be here, ready to jump in if we feel like you need help. But you got this, Denise. Okay. Okay. Okay. Just me. Okay. Okay. Okay. Let's try it. I'm a dial it right now. Here we go. Hello? Hi, is this. Oh, my God. Is this Caleb? Speaking. Oh, my God. Hi. How are you? Fine. Who am I speaking to? I know. I know this sounds crazy. I know, and I'm not crazy. But I. Oh, no. Hello? Yeah, so I. I have met you before. I met you at a wedding, and my friend was there and she had your number and put me up to doing this, so. Hang on, I was trying to be brave. Back. Slow down. I. I don't even know who this is. I met you at a wedding or something. You did? You used to be in business with my husband, like, a long time ago. But this will really. I think this would really clarify for you. It was my wedding. Oh. And no. Oh. Oh, hey. No. I've got an idea. No, I don't even know your name. Why don't we start with your name and how I can help you? I'm trying to. Denise. Okay, Denise, it was three years ago. We're separated because, you know, not. Not having anything to do with, you know. I mean. What did you say your husband's name was? His name is Peter. Oh, okay. Now that rings a bell. Peter. Denise. Nothing. Yes, yes, Hi. Hi. Yes. Yes, I remember your wedding. It's nice to hear from you. You said you and Peter separated. I'm sorry, what's this in regard to. I'm sorry. What? I'm so sorry. I'm outside. Hey, I'm in the middle. You know, you caught me in between two meetings. I've got about four minutes to talk. How can I help you? Well, like I said, my girlfriend told me to do this and it was just supposed to be something fun and. Told you to do. I don't even know what this is. Oh, well, listen, you know, I just. I thought you were really nice and, you know, we had a nice conversation and I just. Oh, my gosh. This is so awkward. Right? I didn't know if you were gonna pick up. Yeah, I. You know, I gotta admit, I'm a little regretting it. Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no, no. Coffee. Would you like to have. Would you like to have some coffee with me sometime? Oh, okay. Oh, Yeah. I mean, I'm having trouble still wrapping my brain around this. You said that you and Peter. That. It didn't. We are separated. Separated for a year. That's like, not. Yeah, we. We. We're no longer really in touch beyond just LinkedIn. Are you saying that you want. I mean, should I reach out to him or. It sounds like you all are going through a tough patch. Is that. Am I. No, not. I mean, interestingly enough, not. Not really. It's mutual. And so, I mean, I wouldn't say you had to get in touch with him, certainly. I think that would be weird. I mean, I don't know what's weird at this point, you know. Oh, my gosh. I just figured I'd take a chance. No, no, you said Denise, right? Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're. Yes, absolutely. Your wedding was a ton of fun. And actually, I'm remembering. Yeah, you're. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm remembering your. I asked out. Not your friend, but I think was your sister that night awkward. Oh, no, it was a friend, right? Oh, God. Maybe both. You know, it's a wedding. Yeah. Oh, wait a second. What. What is this? Hey. Hey, what's up, Caleb? Yeah, Caleb, this is a radio show called Brooke and Jeffrey in the Morning. Oh, so this whole thing is just a prank? It's. No, it's unfortunately not. It's a segment we do called the Awkward Tuesday Phone Call. Because we're trying to help Denise have this really lovely conversation with you. Just own it, you know? Own the conversation. Very. Yeah. Very natural sounding. Yeah. Denise remembers you from three years ago and she doesn't remember you that well, though her friend put her up to. Friend. Friend. Thought that you two should get together and have coffee. Right. I can feel the chemistry. Huh? I do remember you told me I was stunning. Oh, yeah, no, that's. That's kind of what you say to a bride on her wedding day. You just say that to any bride. Wow. I might have told your sister the same thing. I. If I remember right. Oh, my gosh. But she did. She did turn me down. Okay, okay, okay. So no boundaries have been crossed. Caleb, are you single and available? Can we just start there? I. I am single, yes. Look at that. Not often that you meet somebody in the real world. That's what everybody wants right now, right? Like, get off the apps, meet in real life. Yeah, I would be happy to explore that option. Maybe with less of an audience sometimes. Oh, okay. So wait. You actually do want to have coffee with me, Caleb? Sure, why not? No way. Okay. She meant that in a way. She's not surprised at all because she's a total, you know. Yeah. Her friend just thought that you two would have a strong connection. So, like, this is perfect. Let's not continue it anymore and make it any more awkward than it already is. All right. Let's not talk about that wedding. I think we will step away and let you, Denise, talk to Caleb and find the time to meet up. Awesome. Thank you, guys. Okay. Awesome. Absolutely. Wow. That was super weird. Yeah, but in like a fun type of way. Yeah. Quirky. Yeah. I wasn't expecting the bride of a friend to reach out for a date. Oh, don't think of her that way. Yeah. And it doesn't bug you at all that you tried with a sister and that didn't work? I think I probably asked out like five women that night. I don't really know. I do put all the singles at a dinner table together the whole time. You should have been asking out the bride. Who would have thought? Don't say that. Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. Can you get someone to join your cult? NLP was used on me to access my subconscious. Nlp, AKA Neuro Linguistic programming, is a blend of hypnosis, linguistics and psychology. Fans say it's like finally getting a user manual for your brain. It's about engineering consciousness. Mind games is the story of nlp, its crazy cast of disciples, and the fake doctor who invented it at a new age commune and sold it to guys in suits. He stood trial for murder and got acquitted. The biggest mind game of all, NLP might actually work. This is wild. Listen to mind Games on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, this is Jo Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life. And I just sat down with a mini driver. Aquarius is all about freedom, loving and different perspectives. And I find a lot of people with strong placements in Aquarius like are Misunderstood A Sun and Venus in Aquarius in her seventh house spark her unconventional approach to partnership. If you're navigating your own transformation or just want a chart side view into how a leading artist integrates astrology, creativity and real life, this episode is a must. Listen. Listen to the Spirit Daughter podcast starting on February 21st, fourth on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen to your podcast. I think Denise hung up somewhere in the end there. She's too excited. Yeah. Or her phone died. Or she got nervous and she dropped it into the toilet. Or she heard, yeah, we'll figure it out. And was like, okay, that's all I need to hear. Click. Yeah. You could definitely hear how anxious she was though, just being on the phone with him. I cannot believe he said yes. Me too. For somebody. Sounds like they said they had chemistry. She was not part of that chemistry. Yeah, she was very flustered. I do need our producer to reach out to Denise and tell her, you know, he did say yes to coffee. So I want an update from these two so bad. I don't say right as bad. I do think it'd be funny if he texted her ahead of time and asked her to wear her wedding dress to their coffee date. That wouldn't be funny. No. Just so she. Just so he recognizes her. Yeah. Remember how stunning she really is from that day. Okay. In fact, we encourage all of our listeners to put on your old wedding dress and go listen to our podcast in it while you're wearing it. I mean, you spent a lot of money on it. You might as well. Wear it again. Yeah, the show just hits better when you're wearing your wedding clothes to it. Oh, I'm so glad I'm married. Yeah, you can find us wherever you get yours. We're online at brookeandjeffery. What if mind control is real?
