Brooke
All right, you found it. Your brand new second date podcast starts right now. It's Burkin Jeffrey in the Morning, the home of the second date update. But before we get to it, lots of reaction from yesterday's awkward Tuesday and a lot of disappointment in our own Alexis.
Alexis
I know you never know how many people listen till you do something wrong. Yeah, and then they all comment.
Jose
I can agree.
Brooke
I can attest to that. You owe everyone an apology. Happened.
Alexis
I'm sorry guys. Honestly, I Don't know. But half the awkward cut off at the end. Okay, I'm saying I don't know. Like, I don't know how. Yeah, but I fixed it. But a lot of you guys did go crazy when it did cut off mid call, which I understand. And I do appreciate the one or two people who specifically called me out in the comments and said, alexis, what happened? I'm like, oh, no.
Brooke
She may have gotten into one or two of her white claws that are sitting at her desk.
Ashley
Who knows?
Alexis
Maybe.
Brooke
Yeah.
Alexis
So I'm gonna triple quadruple check from now on, guys.
Brooke
Okay?
Alexis
Maybe I should have done that in the first place.
Ritual Ad
But, you know, you learn.
Jose
I don't think you should. Anytime people make big mistakes, we get more traction, more people, more.
Brooke
You're saying there's no such thing as bad press, Jose.
Jose
So listen to the podcast. Maybe it's not all uploaded.
Kyle
Listen for our mistakes.
Brooke
Try to find the end.
Alexis
Will you hear part two of the second date? I don't know.
Brooke
And if you didn't get the whole awkward, go back, listen to tomorrow's cuz it is fixed. Let's get today's brand new second date update started.
Kyle
Second date update. This is not a new thing. It's a broken Jeffrey in the morning.
Brooke
Yeah, we've been doing this segment for a long time, Jeff.
Kyle
Well, not this segment. I mean, it's not new. That we've talked about when you're more than five to 10 minutes late to a first date. Oh, I think we can all agree at least a text is needed to give them an update.
Brooke
Yeah.
Dub Dynasty Player
Oh, yeah.
Jose
What'd you get to what, 10 minutes?
Kyle
Seven minutes?
Brooke
I even think five.
Kyle
Five?
Brooke
Yeah, five.
Alexis
Sitting there alone feels like a long five minutes.
Kyle
But the thing. What do you say to keep it light and fun? Still, do you go with like a sorry I'm late. I just needed some extra time to emotionally prepare myself for how hot you are.
Jose
Oh, that's.
Brooke
Did that take you five minutes to come up with? And I feel like you're standing outside the door. You can just walk out.
Kyle
I mean, use the wasted time the right way. Or do you go with my personal favorite? Yes, Sorry I'm late. My pants were fighting me and frankly, they lost.
Brooke
What, because you don't have pants on?
Kyle
Exactly. Keep it mysterious and flirty so that she's wondering the whole time.
Jose
Or you regretfully have them on.
Brooke
See, I don't know that I'm glad we're not doing textual healing right now.
Kyle
Yeah, the reason that I bring it all Up. All this lateness is because our buddy Kyle says he was late for his date the other day and I want to know what he texted to her. Kyle, what was your line when you were late?
Ashley
I didn't really have a line. I kind of was just like, hey, sorry, I'm running late.
Brooke
Yeah, that's solid.
Alexis
That is great.
Brooke
Go with that.
Kyle
Kyle, are you sure you don't want to use the fighting pants line the next time? Because I will let you use it.
Ashley
I don't know, man. Maybe next time.
Brooke
Next time.
Kyle
He says women don't like a lot of communication, apparently, but it just doesn't need it.
Brooke
All right.
Jose
Also, if you think about it, you don't want to make a big deal. You're already late. You want to make it quick? I'll be right there.
Kyle
Okay.
Brooke
Are we breaking this up?
Kyle
Brooke, you're done with questions? I had a question for Kyle. I have questions for you.
Brooke
Why?
Kyle
Kyle, tell us about your date.
Brooke
Oh, you get it.
Kyle
What was this lady's name that you met the other day?
Ashley
So her name's Ashley.
Brooke
Okay. I would ask where you met her, but I apparently am just really upset.
Ashley
Good.
Kyle
That's a terrible question. Go right to the date, Kyle.
Ashley
So I was kind of introduced to her through some mutual friends.
Brooke
Oh, cute.
Ashley
I hadn't met her yet. This was going to be our like, first time meeting.
Brooke
So it's like an old fashioned blind date.
Kyle
Yeah.
Ashley
So we were supposed to go to dinner and then, you know, maybe pick up a movie. We didn't really have a clear plan, but it was Friday night and traffic was extremely bad.
Brooke
But wait, she devoted a Friday night date to you? That is already a good sign.
Kyle
Wait, why is Friday a good sign?
Alexis
You don't give up weekend nights.
Kyle
Friday is a weekend?
Ashley
No.
Jose
Well, if it's a Tuesday afternoon date, Jeff, it's not hot.
Kyle
Gotcha. So Friday night you're saying traffic on the way was terrible?
Ashley
You know how some people when they get nervous, they like shake their knee like they're like bumping it up and down? Yeah, I was doing that a lot. To the point where my shoe came off while I was driving. Like I. I was extremely nervous.
Jose
Your leg was having a panic attack.
Brooke
While you were driving in. A shoe came off.
Ashley
I was freaking out. I want to be late, so I had to pull over to fix it. But when I pulled over, I guess my car was sticking out in the road too much. And this guy I was talking to me. And you know, I'm not the most patient person. So we Got into a little bit of. I would call it a little bit of road rage.
Brooke
What?
Jose
Really?
Brooke
Oh, no.
Kyle
This is all before you arrive to the date. This is explaining to us.
Ashley
This is all leading up to. To the date.
Brooke
Why you are not in a good mindset, my friend.
Alexis
You're a road rage guy.
Jose
Yeah.
Ashley
So I wouldn't say I'm a road rage guy to the point where I got the car. I'm screaming, but, you know, I'm yelling. I'm lifting up my shoe, being like, hey, all I'm trying to do is put this on. I'm trying to go, okay, well, now.
Kyle
It looks like you're threatening the other.
Alexis
Yeah.
Brooke
Now I'm really glad all you said to your date was, sorry I'm late.
Alexis
Yeah.
Brooke
Any more explanation of what just went down could have been a red flag for her.
Ashley
I'm trying, okay? I'm trying. I'm really trying my best. That's why I tried to keep it simple. But I was getting close the restaurant, and then I realized that my breath. I had a little bit of garlic for lunch, so.
Brooke
Wait, now you have stinky breath, you're late, and you were just in a road rage incident?
Ashley
Yes. It had been a very long, long day.
Kyle
His date doesn't know any of that.
Brooke
Well, I understand. I'm just thinking of his mental state, walking into the restaurant.
Kyle
His mental state seems great.
Alexis
I'm thinking disheveled.
Brooke
Did you stop to get gum then?
Kyle
Yes.
Ashley
So I told her that I had to stop at the drugstore to get something. I didn't tell. It was dumb. I didn't want her to know.
Kyle
She probably thinks you're stopping to get prophylactics for the end of the day.
Brooke
Oh, I was thinking something worse, like an antibiotic for.
Ashley
Oh, yeah. No, I didn't tell her, but I let her know. So I got there around, like, 25 to 30 minutes late.
Kyle
Whoa, that's long, too late.
Brooke
And it sounds like you're doing errands and stuff to meet her.
Jose
If you say I'm stopping at the store, yeah.
Brooke
What was it like when you saw her?
Ashley
You could tell that she was a little annoyed, and I understand that because I. I would be, too. But, you know, I apologize. She eventually kind of just like, rolled her eyes, made a joke about it, and we. We moved on.
Brooke
Okay, good.
Jose
Yeah.
Brooke
So it sounds like things are getting back on track.
Ashley
Yeah, I mean, I ordered those both doubles when we got there because we both had a rough day. Everything seemed like it was gonna be okay, but as dinner started Ending like I started realizing like, she hasn't really brought up going back to her place anymore. And we talked about that a lot in the text. So I was like, hint at it a little bit. I had a couple of drinks. So, you know, I wasn't like in my best state of mind. So I tried to hint at it. I was like, wow, you know, it's so early, we could go and do whatever.
Kyle
I'm trying to get her to take the lead to be like, oh, let's do movies now.
Brooke
So you're saying.
Ashley
Yeah, yeah, exactly. I was like, I was like, go back to your place and watch a movie or, you know, this is why.
Jose
You plan Friday night meals. Last Friday night date was like, we'll have the date and if things go well, then maybe we can hang out after too, because it's Friday.
Ashley
Exactly. Man. We had that whole conversation. Everything seemed like it was leading to that point. And then she hits me with, oh, you know, I'm a school teacher, so I have to grade papers.
Brooke
Oh, Friday night, late night paper grading after a couple of drinks.
Alexis
Yeah.
Brooke
Did you believe that?
Ashley
No, of course I didn't believe that.
Brooke
Yeah.
Ashley
It is a Friday night. You are here with me getting drinks on a Friday night. There is no way you're going to go home and go, yeah, you know, I'm just gonna grade some of these.
Jose
I'm just pre funking before the real party starts. Grading night.
Kyle
You're not a dedicated school teacher though, are you? Like you actually care.
Brooke
I'm wondering if she decided before she even saw you. Just cuz you're half an hour late, you come in, you do a bunch of apologies like missing a shoe, you.
Kyle
Order a double shot the second you get in. I don't know why she wouldn't want to go out.
Brooke
I'm just wondering if she didn't give you the chance that maybe you were hoping for.
Jose
Yeah, yeah.
Ashley
And I mean again, like, I understand, but I feel like I tried my best to like bring the conversation back. Our conversations there weren't bad. Like it seemed like everything was going well, but.
Jose
Yeah, but when you're that late, you're starting in the hole.
Ashley
Yeah.
Kyle
The good news is we live in that hole so we can help. We know all the ways to get out of it. We're going to try and help you. We're going to call, we're going to try and get you your second date update with Ashley right after this. Hold on.
Country Festival Announcer
Second date update?
Kyle
If you're just joining us for the second date update, we've been talking to to Kyle. And here's the unfortunate thing that happened to him without any fault of his own. He was late. Yes, I would really like a bunch of.
Brooke
Yeah, well, like the shoe came off because he was nervous and he couldn't control it. And then he got in a fight with a guy.
Kyle
A few people in our studio do assume that he walked in looking disheveled and bloody and angry and immediately ordered himself a double shot.
Brooke
I don't know where he got bloody either, Alexis, but Jeff bloodied him up along the way.
Jose
How bad is rush hour for you?
Kyle
So it's not a great look, but let's remember he did order her a double shot too. Yeah, let's give him a little bit of credit.
Brooke
It was a double shot. I thought it was just a double drink.
Ashley
Well, it's the same thing.
Alexis
That's the same.
Brooke
It is so aggressive with shot glasses compared to coming with a golf shot margarita.
Kyle
Yeah, fair point. You guys are right. But apparently there was some texting before the date about possibly hanging out afterwards. Maybe even to watch a movie at her place, which is something that she never brought up.
Brooke
Yeah.
Kyle
So was she turned off by his lateness or was it something else? That's our job to figure out and do whatever we can to help Kyle get another hangout.
Brooke
Yeah, we never even heard Kyle. Have you talked to her since the date?
Ashley
Oh, yeah, no, No, I haven't. I've been trying to get. Yeah, so I had. I had reached out. I didn't hear anything. So one of my friends had asked, how'd the date go?
Brooke
Oh, right.
Ashley
I was like, oh. I kind of told them what happened if they could, like, see if they could do any digging for me. And I never really heard anything back, so.
Kyle
That's the thing, man. You never talk to your friends about your dating life.
Brooke
You're the ones that set them up.
Kyle
No, always come to us first.
Brooke
Oh.
Kyle
We'll give you an honest opinion whether or not you're gonna like it.
Brooke
You know, maybe she's still grading papers. It's just been a really busy school.
Jose
Yeah. You don't want her because she's boring.
Kyle
No.
Alexis
That means she's a great teacher.
Brooke
Yeah.
Jose
Too good of a teacher. Boring.
Kyle
Exactly. So let's just call her. We'll see if she picks up and hopefully has some answers for us. But I'm going to dial her number right now. It's Ashley, right?
Ashley
Yeah.
Kyle
Okay, Ms. Ashley. Okay, here we go.
Dub Dynasty Player
Hello?
Kyle
Hi, is this Ashley?
Dub Dynasty Player
Yep.
Brooke
Oh, hey, Ashley. Ashley.
Jose
Good morning, Ashley.
Kyle
How you doing today, Ms. Ashley?
Dub Dynasty Player
Who is this?
Kyle
This is a radio show. We're called Brooke and Jeffrey in the.
Jose
Morning, Your favorite students.
Dub Dynasty Player
What is it?
Kyle
Sorry, no, you're on the radio right now.
Dub Dynasty Player
Okay.
Kyle
We're Brooke and Jeffrey in the Morning and we're doing a segment called the Second Date Update.
Jose
We're a morning show.
Brooke
I wish it was that Teacher of the year segment that we do, but.
Dub Dynasty Player
Okay, I'm kidding.
Brooke
We don't do that.
Kyle
That's harsh.
Brooke
Yeah.
Dub Dynasty Player
Okay, so what is this?
Kyle
See, this is a dating segment where we try to help out our listeners who've gone out with somebody. And afterwards, if they're not getting a call back, we try to help figure out the reason why.
Dub Dynasty Player
Okay.
Kyle
And you, according to our sources, went out with one of our listeners named Kyle recently.
Brooke
Our source is Kyle. Just so you know.
Kyle
Well, don't give away.
Dub Dynasty Player
Yeah, what about it?
Kyle
Okay, well, Kyle had some really nice things to say about you and about your date.
Dub Dynasty Player
Oh, that's surprising. Okay.
Brooke
Oh, it's surprising that he enjoyed it.
Dub Dynasty Player
Or that he was talking about me and not himself?
Brooke
Oh, oh, wait. What do you mean? That must be a lot.
Jose
He was talking about you to us a lot.
Kyle
Because the thing is, Kyle isn't a hundred percent sure why you aren't meeting up a second time. He does acknowledge that he was late to the date and he feels.
Dub Dynasty Player
Okay, so he did tell you that. Okay, so. Yeah, he's still on that. Okay, yes, he was late. He was very late.
Brooke
Wait, he's still on that? What do you mean by that?
Dub Dynasty Player
I mean, before I even see this guy, I get three separate texts within like the 45 minutes late. He was always like, oh, I think I'm going to be late. Sorry, I'm going to be late. Looks like I'm going to be late. I was like, for the love of God.
Kyle
Well, hold on. Don't you like the communication to let you know?
Dub Dynasty Player
I mean, you can just say it once and give me an epa and then like I can chill. It's just like the play by play was like not native.
Brooke
I can see it sounds like he was really nervous before the date and that he was really looking forward to it. So maybe he just overdid the communication because he, he felt bad.
Kyle
So was it already over even by the time that he just arrived at the restaurant?
Dub Dynasty Player
Not necessarily. But I mean, it's like all we talked about. He's like, okay, so this happened in my shoe and then the guy like the drugstore and I'm like, oh my God, I'M like, okay, okay. Are we going to, like, are we going to go on a date? Are we just going to, like, recap the reason you relate to this date in the first place?
Jose
So you're already trying to move on, though. That's a good.
Dub Dynasty Player
No, 100%. I understand. Things happen. You can be late, but then that's, like, all. I mean, you guys. He was, like, stopping the waiter. I was like, finally. I'm freaking starving. Like, let's order something. He's like, no, no, I'll give us 15 minutes. I gotta talk to her. And then just, like, went on and on about the lateness. And I'm like, can I get a taco? Like, please. But.
Brooke
Okay, wait, wait. Like, what if he was just nervous, you know?
Jose
Like, he. He messed up and he knows it.
Dub Dynasty Player
It almost feels like he planned this to have, like, subject matter to talk about on the date.
Brooke
Well, it is being late at the shoe. Just. So he had conversation.
Dub Dynasty Player
He was like, this could be interesting. It made him feel like I felt crazy. I was like, can we do. Can we talk about anything else?
Brooke
Oh, my God.
Jose
It's like he's creating a date story.
Brooke
He did tell us the whole story, but only once. He only told us once.
Dub Dynasty Player
He loves the story. It's his favorite story. I can't believe he called the radio to tell it again.
Kyle
Maybe we can hear one more time when we bring him on right now, because he is on the line.
Dub Dynasty Player
Please don't.
Kyle
He really is. He's there listening and hoping to talk to you. Kyle, you there?
Ashley
Hi, Ashley.
Dub Dynasty Player
What's up, Kyle?
Kyle
Hi.
Ashley
You know, how you doing? I totally understand what you're saying. Like, I get it. I didn't really mean to, but I just wanted you to know, like, it really was a crazy situation. Like, I was driving. I really didn't know, like, what else to do because I was. I was just nervous. My shoe fell off.
Dub Dynasty Player
Like, did you get that part?
Kyle
Which foot. Which foot was the shoe on?
Dub Dynasty Player
Don't encourage him, Kyle.
Brooke
Don't tell the story again.
Ashley
Okay, okay, okay. Yes, Ashley, I get it. I repeated it a lot of times. But you do understand how crazy of a story it is, though? Like.
Dub Dynasty Player
What I'm telling you is the only thing I don't want you to talk about.
Ashley
The lady at the store, she's.
Kyle
Okay, you guys, let's call time out on the conversation. There's a lot going on here, and I want to save some of Kyle's story for the side podcast that we do with Brooke, Alexis, and Jose.
Brooke
Yeah, that's just the shoes and being late.
Kyle
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah, we just do a shoe story podcast.
Kyle
Clearly. Clearly. Ashley, he was very, very flustered by the journey over to meet up with you on the date, and he felt like it was important to at least get it out there to explain himself.
Dub Dynasty Player
He's literally still doing it.
Brooke
I know, but I think it's because he's defensive, Right?
Kyle
More importantly, it's because he likes you. Yeah.
Ashley
And, you know, I. I was just really looking forward to going back to your house, you know, watching that movie. And, you know, maybe we could have ended up doing something, like, later on that night. Like, I was really just looking.
Dub Dynasty Player
How could we even do stuff? All you're gonna keep doing is talking about this. I swear I'm flustered. Dude. I. Like, it's a wrap. Like, what are we doing on the radio?
Kyle
Okay, well, what we're doing is we're gonna offer to send you out date with Kyle. Yeah, but I'm assuming you're probably too busy grading, like, school papers, and you don't have a lot of free time.
Brooke
In your schedule, which, by the way.
Dub Dynasty Player
Oh, no, no, no. I'm. I'm good. I'm. I'm completely free, but I just don't want to talk about.
Brooke
Dude, that was such a cold excuse not to hang out with him again.
Kyle
Yeah, y'all.
Dub Dynasty Player
What else was I supposed to do? He was killing me. I'm like. At least, like, I have. Like, I have an actual thing to do. That's, like, a job. Maybe he would, like, release me from the torture.
Brooke
I'm sorry, Kyle. I didn't mean to laugh. It's just, she has very clear boundaries of what she wants, and that's. That's respectable.
Dub Dynasty Player
But I don't. I just want to have a meal I don't. Like, that's not a huge boundary.
Ashley
Okay, okay, Ashley, I get it. I get it. I get it. You didn't want me to recap. But you're talking about this meal. The meal, the meal, the meal, the meal, all the time. That's not your recapping.
Dub Dynasty Player
Are you out of your mind?
Kyle
I mean, it does have a point.
Ashley
I'm just saying, you were talking about recapping, and now we're recapping this whole thing about how. I didn't talk about.
Dub Dynasty Player
Reverse.
Brooke
Let's end this.
Ashley
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah.
Kyle
I mean, the love is exploding out of the phone lines right now. So we send you out one more time. Last chance, I think.
Brooke
End the story.
Kyle
Okay.
Brooke
Yeah, the story's over.
Dub Dynasty Player
Okay. Goodbye, radio people.
Kyle
Oh, man. Kyle, dude, I'm sorry, man.
Ashley
Well, to be honest, good riddance. Because I need. I need someone with a larger attention span who can at least like entertain what's going on here, you know what I'm saying? Like I'm being. I'm being told that I'm just doing too much, you know? She's doing the exact same thing.
Brooke
I don't think you picked up what she was saying.
Alexis
Tell a story like your mom.
Brooke
Maybe she'd like to.
Ashley
I understand what she was saying, but I don't understand why I was saying.
Kyle
Okay.
Alexis
She understood so much.
Kyle
Okay, but take us back to this traffic light. Okay. Go back to the shoe because I'm still curious.
Ashley
I mean, if you actually want to know, I can tell you.
Kyle
No, keep going. Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. You know, I felt bad for Kyle because he definitely wanted the whole world to hear about his harrowing story on the way to the date. Yes, and in his defense, a lot of dating is talking about things that happen to you in your life, different.
Alexis
Things, and then asking about their things, you know?
Kyle
But I can also understand his dates perspective. She doesn't want to rehash the details over and over and hear how the sausage was made. She just literally wants to eat sausage.
Brooke
We were set up for like failure from the beginning. I mean, all we did was rehash what happened. I mean, that's the whole point of the segment, is to rehash what happened on the date. Which is exactly the last thing she wanted to hear.
Kyle
Feel even more against it, so.
Jose
Oh man.
Brooke
Still don't really understand the sausage thing.
Kyle
But yeah, but she didn't want to hear why he was late.
Brooke
She wanted a taco, Jeff.
Kyle
Yeah, exactly. Well, okay, yeah, that's just me, but whatever food you like to eat or talk about, we can help you in your dating life. You can always email the show and we can help call that person who isn't calling you back and go check out our second dates. Recap of Kyle's First Date with Ashley [02:06 – 10:22]
The episode begins with Brooke introducing the segment and addressing reactions from a previous episode's awkward moment, setting a light-hearted tone. She quickly transitions to Kyle's story:
Kyle's Initial Predicament [02:32 – 07:02]: Kyle recounts the events leading up to his first date with Ashley. Nervousness caused him to exhibit erratic behavior, such as shaking his knee excessively while driving, which ultimately led to his shoe detaching mid-drive ([06:10]). This mishap forced him to pull over, resulting in minor road rage when another driver expressed impatience ([06:25]). Despite these setbacks, Kyle arrived approximately 25 to 30 minutes late for their dinner date.
First Date Dynamics [07:12 – 10:22]: Upon finally meeting, Kyle noticed Ashley's annoyance but managed to smooth things over with apologies. They proceeded to order "doubles" due to their stressful day, attempting to salvage the evening. However, the night took a downturn when Kyle's lingering nervousness and over-sharing about his earlier mishaps hindered the natural flow of conversation. Ashley's purported commitment to grading papers on a Friday night raised suspicions, leading Kyle to question her genuine interest in continuing the relationship.
Host Discussion Leading Up to the Call [10:22 – 12:43]
Brooke, Jeffrey, and fellow host Jose dissect Kyle's attempts to reconnect with Ashley post-date. They humorously speculate on Kyle's choice of excuses and communication habits, emphasizing the importance of concise and genuine interactions. The hosts decide to take the bold step of calling Ashley directly to gain clarity on why Kyle hasn't secured a second date, setting the stage for an unexpected live interaction.
The Call with Ashley [12:43 – 20:38]
Initial Contact [12:56 – 13:43]: Brooke connects with Ashley, who identifies herself as a school teacher. The hosts awkwardly navigate introductions, revealing the premise of their show and Kyle's predicament.
Ashley’s Perspective [13:43 – 18:48]: Ashley expresses frustration with Kyle's incessant rehashing of the night's earlier chaos. She emphasizes her disinterest in repeatedly hearing about the shoe incident and road rage, seeking a more straightforward and less narrative-driven interaction. Notably, Ashley states, "I just want to have a meal," highlighting her desire for simplicity over Kyle’s elaborate explanations.
Hosts’ Reactions [18:48 – 20:38]: The conversation grows tense as Ashley voices her need for a partner with better communication skills and patience. The hosts interject with humor and empathy, attempting to mediate the situation. Ashley concludes by expressing relief that the interaction is over, underscoring the mismatch between her expectations and Kyle's communication style.
Key Insights and Discussions [20:38 – 21:18]
Post-call, the hosts reflect on the encounter, extracting valuable lessons for their audience:
Over-Communication vs. Conciseness: Kyle's tendency to over-explain his lateness and the incidents en route detracted from the date's potential, illustrating the importance of balanced communication.
Authenticity and Simplicity: Ashley's dissatisfaction stemmed from Kyle's inability to maintain a simple and authentic conversation, highlighting the need for genuine interactions in dating scenarios.
Handling Mistakes Gracefully: While apologizing for lateness is crucial, excessive details can create unnecessary tension and hinder rapport-building.
Conclusion [21:18 – End]
Brooke and Jeffrey wrap up the episode by reiterating the significance of clear, concise, and authentic communication in fostering successful dates. They encourage listeners to share their own dating stories and seek advice through the show’s Second Date Update segment. The episode serves as both an entertaining narrative and a cautionary tale about the pitfalls of overcomplicating social interactions.
