I disagree. I think it is like an insta date is considered a real date because I've had many, many experiences that you wouldn't call a by the books pre prepared hangout. Yeah, so I met this guy Zach a couple weeks ago. My friend Claire, her job is super cool and trendy and they, they usually have like a happy hour, like a work happy hour.

Brooke (5:13)

Oh. Like her company is one of those that like as much food as you want, all the vacation time, and we constantly drink together.

Claire (5:23)

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. Her friends are much cooler than me, but that's why I went.

And like I said, I met this guy Zach and he was extremely good looking and I don't usually go up to guys, but I mean, it just was the atmosphere. We went to like this traditional cowboy bar.

Brooke (5:45)

Oh, traditional, that's funny.

Brooke (5:48)

A dive bar, I think is what.

Brooke (5:49)

You know, probably one with like line dancing and country music and stuff.

Claire (5:54)

Yeah, like the, the bar stools were horse saddles and like there was a merry go round. Yeah.

Zach (6:01)

Mechanical bull.

Claire (6:02)

There was, there was.

Zach (6:04)

Now it's a real cowboy bar.

Brooke (6:06)

So you said that you were the one who actually went and approached him. Like, what did you, what did you do? How did that interaction happen?

Claire (6:12)

Well, here's the thing. I went next to him, so I wouldn't say that. I, you know, I kind of gave myself a little more credit. But you didn't want to look like.

Brooke (6:22)

You were too aggressive with it. Too thirsty. Exactly.

Brooke (6:25)

But it' move, right? Like somebody standing in the bar, you go stand directly next to them.

Zach (6:29)

I imagine you bumping into him by accident over and over. Oh, my shoulder keeps hitting.

Brooke (6:33)

I'm sorry.

Claire (6:35)

Well, that worked because we ended up talking. And here's the thing. I didn't know that a lot of people like to ride horses. Really until social media. You know, like, I thought it was more of a thing that like just.

Brooke (6:50)

Your rich, you and your family does.

Claire (6:52)

I thought it was more just my thing I thought, it's a rich person.

Brooke (6:56)

Wait, if you do it. Oh, because she's does, like, probably, you know, she's an equestrian. Yeah. She's not a western style.

Brooke (7:03)

Yeah.

So you're into horses and you didn't expect him to be also.

Claire (7:07)

Yeah. And so we got. We started talking, and I brought up a story of when I was younger, and it was going so well that he ended up spitting some of his drink out because I made him laugh so hard.

Brooke (7:20)

Oh, really?

Claire (7:21)

Hey. Yeah, it was just about. I brought up a story when I was younger. My favorite horse, he was, like, slower. He was older and he was kind of chubby, but they called him Waffle Face.

Brooke (7:35)

Waffle Face.

Brooke (7:37)

Wait, they called him Waffle?

Brooke (7:38)

That was the name of the horse?

Claire (7:39)

That was the name of the horse, yeah. Oh, I love it.

Brooke (7:42)

And that's what made him laugh so hard.

Claire (7:44)

Must have had to been there.

Claire (7:46)

Yeah, I think so.

So you guys bonded over horses. That's cool.

Claire (7:51)

Yes. Yeah. And you. Unfortunately, he said he had to go, so it was like 20, 30 minutes of us talking. But right before he left, there was this Britney Spears song that came on.

Jeffrey (8:02)

She's a Louisiana Girl.

Zach (8:05)

He started doing the dance and he started. He followed me. He was doing the same dance as I was doing it.

That's an obvious sign of attraction when a guy is mirroring you. Yeah. That's a sign that he's actually into what you're doing.

Zach (8:25)

Puts his hair up in pigtails, gets the skirt on, and it's, like, all about it.

Brooke (8:29)

Did you check in with your friend Claire? Because Claire works with him. Right. Like, that's how you guys all met?

Claire (8:34)

Yeah. So here's the thing. Right before we left, I was brave enough to ask him for his number. I was like, it's not every day that someone dances, like, mirrors you dancing.

Zach (8:47)

All right, that's cool.

Claire (8:50)

Oh, yes, I did. Well, let's hope, because I. This is where you guys come in. I texted him a couple days after, and he said he was busy, but that he wished that he could hang out. So I waited a couple of days after that, and he never texted me back after I texted him again. Yeah. And so you brought up Claire. And I asked her, and she doesn't know. So it was a friend of a friend. So his friend brought him. Yeah.

Brooke (9:20)

I see. So it's not someone that works with her that she could okay, well, we.

Brooke (9:24)

Sounds like every single country dive bar within a 10,000 mile radius that I just described there. But that's where one of our listeners went recently. Her name is Amanda, and she met a very well put together good looking man named Zach while she was there. The two of them vibed over horseback riding stories and even danced to an old Britney Spears song.

Like I said earlier, this was an insta date. It wasn't something that they had planned to meet up beforehand. They just ran into each other. So we don't know if Zach is technically even single or what's going on.

Yeah, but he texted her back that he was excited to see her.

Zach (10:47)

He said, like, I wish I could see. That could also mean I wish I could see you. It means I can't see you because I have a girlfriend.

I mean, I just don't want you to be too invested, Amanda.

I definitely am. But like you guys said, that has been something that Claire and I have been discussing. And I mean, it wouldn't put it past him because he seems. I mean, he's such a catch, right? Like.
