Eczema is unpredictable, but you can flare less with Epglis, a once monthly treatment for moderate to severe eczema. After an initial four month or longer dosing phase. About four in 10 people taking Ecliss achieved itch relief and clear or almost clear skin at 16 weeks, and most of those people maintain skin that's still more clear at one year with monthly dosing.

So thanks for being with the real us and not the one where they, you know, steal our audio and then put weird AI pictures.
Jeffrey
Oh, well, yeah, and get more views than us.
Jeff
God, why am I in so many sequins in those AI pictures too? It's very strange because I don't actually have many in my wardrobe. But before we get to the episode, Alexis, what do you see in comments?
Brooke
I mean, speaking of we AI photos, John Hernandez said, I feel like they're making Brooke more and more like a grandma in these thumbnails. Stop doing that injustice, dude.
Lauren
It's no lie.
Brooke
Okay?
Jeff
Find the official site that's really my picture.
Brooke
It's the one where she looks the youngest. Yeah, right.
Jeff
Yeah, because it was taken five years ago.
Jeffrey
The bigger the glasses, the More real it is.
Jeff
Thank you, Jose. If my eyeballs are magnified, you know that's actually me. All right, let's get to your episode right now.
Lauren
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Brooke
Second date update.
Alexis
Eating alone at a restaurant isn't necessarily taboo.
Jeff
Yeah, it could be really nice alone.
Jeffrey
Oh yeah.
Alexis
A lot of people enjoy dining by themselves. Cuz it can be very peaceful, reflective, very fulfilling experience.
Jeff
Don't have to share, especially focus on the food.
Alexis
It's especially fulfilling if you loudly moan after every single bite you take.
Jeffrey
Oh my gosh.
Alexis
Oh yeah. Oh my God. Have you guys tried this eggplant? Waiter, pass my plate over the table there. They need to take a bite of.
Jeffrey
Okay.
Jeff
You may be someone who shouldn't eat alone.
Alexis
Well, one of our listeners, Lauren, is also comfortable at a table for one. And curiously, that's how she ended up meeting a guy the other night.
Adam
Oh.
Alexis
So it works out in a whole lot of ways. Lauren, welcome to the show.
Lauren
Thank you so much.
Jeff
I want to know, Lauren, is it something that you do often going out to eat by yourself?
Lauren
Actually, yes. And I love it because I'm kind of a foodie.
Jeff
Okay.
Alexis
I'm kind of a drinky, so.
Adam
Yeah.
Alexis
But it's good that we all have our things.
Jeff
I think you usually use past tense for that. Drunk.
Alexis
Whatever it is comes in liquid form. So you went out by yourself the other night to a restaurant?
Lauren
I did. It was this super nice restaurant in town that I've been. I've really been wanting to try it. Yeah. And I heard really good things, but it's super hard to get a reservation.
Jeff
Even for one.
Lauren
Even for one. Wow.
Jeffrey
That's how you know it's good.
Lauren
Exactly, exactly. I went there the other night by myself, hoping that, you know, I could do a walk in.
Jeff
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Alexis
With one person. That's kind of reasonable.
Jeffrey
Like sometimes you can scope the bar and one person leaves, you just slide on it.
Lauren
Yeah, right, Exactly. But I go up to the host stand and they told me it was almost a two hour wait to get a table.
Jeff
You're like, I don't take up much room.
Lauren
Exactly.
Brooke
Like, you know, here, pull up a chair.
Jeff
Yeah.
Alexis
I'll just leave whatever's left at somebody's table. Once they get up, I will eat
Jeffrey
in a bathroom stall.
Adam
On.
Jeff
Yeah.
Jeffrey
Wow.
Jeff
So did you wait or what did you do?
Lauren
So this is what happened. This guy, he overheard the interaction at the host stand and he walks up to me and says, you're only one person. We have a reservation for four, but one of Our friends couldn't make it. Wanna join us?
Alexis
Wow, Alexis, you would totally do that for a stranger, right?
Brooke
Do I get a free meal?
Jeff
You know, though, maybe you're with friends you don't really wanna talk to. So you add one more person to the mix, it's a new person to get to know.
Alexis
Whatever the reason, it's cool you got an invite. What did you say?
Lauren
Okay. So at first I was like, you know, no, I don't want to impose. But he was really nice, right? And he was like, don't even worry about it. It's fine. So I agreed.
Jeff
That's awesome. I think that's really cool.
Alexis
Yeah. Okay.
Brooke
I mean, and if he's attractive, you're not gonna say no, are you?
Alexis
Sure?
Lauren
Definitely. Easy on the eyes. For sure.
Alexis
Okay.
Jeffrey
Okay.
Jeff
So who did you end up sitting with? It was him. And who else?
Lauren
It was him and a couple of his friends, which were two other women.
Jeff
Okay.
Lauren
I got to know all of them. Yes. They work together. They're co workers.
Jeff
Okay.
Jeffrey
That's like if all of us went to lunch.
Alexis
Yeah, man. It's a good look on him. What's his name, by the way?
Lauren
Adam. His name's Adam.
Alexis
Okay.
Jeff
For a minute, I was like, oh, my God, I'm gonna totally do this with my husband next time we go out to eat. And then I'm like, no, it looks
Brooke
weird if a married couple asks a single person.
Adam
Okay.
Jeff
Not the same.
Jeffrey
You would put that vibe out, Brooke.
Alexis
You're at this dinner table with Adam and his two female co workers. That was that weird, or did it feel normal?
Lauren
Well, it was funny because he kept telling me, it's okay. I've been ditched on first dates before. Don't be embarrassed.
Jeff
No, wait, did you correct him? Did you tell him? No? No, no, no, I wasn't ditched.
Lauren
Absolutely. I told him. Like, I actually came by myself. I don't have a problem eating alone. I just love eating good food.
Jeff
And then they all laughed. Like, what a funny joke.
Alexis
She got really ambient. Okay.
Lauren
They definitely thought I was strange.
Alexis
Okay.
Lauren
They still were kind and sweet to me, so. And the meal was phenomenal. It was absolutely phenomenal.
Jeffrey
Worth it, then.
Jeff
I mean. And that makes for easy conversation, even with strangers when the food's good because you can talk about it all.
Jeffrey
Yeah. And you're like, try this. Here comes the airplane. New stranger.
Jeff
Yeah. Was there sharing? That would be weird.
Adam
Yeah.
Alexis
Tell us more.
Lauren
Well, there was sharing of bottles of wine, for sure. We did split a couple of days.
Jeff
Here we go.
Alexis
Now the Whole room is on board with this now.
Jeff
We're all best friends by the end of the dinner.
Jeffrey
Yeah, we are.
Jeff
And. And were you feeling a vibe with this guy at all ever?
Lauren
Totally. I was totally feeling a connection with Adam, and I think it would be more fun if it was just me and him.
Adam
Ah.
Jeff
Were you able to get out any info, like, if he was single or what his status was?
Lauren
No, no.
Alexis
But I do think if there's a guy that's eating by himself with two female co workers, he's probably not in a relationship.
Brooke
I had friends come out to eat with you.
Commercial Announcer
What are you talking about?
Jeff
My husband just had dinner with two co workers, like.
Alexis
Exactly, Brooke, exactly.
Jeffrey
How happy was he when he came home?
Adam
Yeah, I know.
Alexis
I'd be checking his phone after that.
Jeff
Oh, God, no.
Jeffrey
Just kidding. Yeah, I think if anything, the vibe itself. You can always feel some kind of vibe. Sometimes it's mistranslated.
Brooke
If he's in a relationship, he's not gonna flirt in front of his co workers with you also.
Jeff
I don't know, but sometimes people feel safe that way. Or you misinterpret the flirting.
Jeffrey
No matter what you think it's flirting, and it's not.
Alexis
He's at least a nice guy, is, like, willing to invite a stranger into the group, and that. That must be.
Lauren
Absolutely. That's what I'm thinking.
Alexis
So have you reached out to him since that dinner?
Lauren
I did. I suggested to him over text because we all at some point exchanged numbers.
Jeff
Okay. Everyone exchanged.
Lauren
Okay, exactly. Yeah. I suggested to him via text that, you know, we should hang out again, just me and him, you know, trying to be bold.
Adam
Okay.
Lauren
And he's been avoiding it, like he'll respond but not agree to meet up. So I don't know what's going on.
Jeff
Well, and it's not like he actually asked for your number. It was like a group exchange of numbers, which is a bit different, you know?
Alexis
And did you make him pay for your food that night? Because that could factor into this.
Lauren
Oh, no, no, no. I didn't do that.
Alexis
I didn't do that. Okay, well, maybe there's something here. We're gonna come back, try and get you a second date update with Adam. Table for two, one chair.
Jeff
Wait, what?
Alexis
We're gonna do it.
Lauren
We're doing it.
Brooke
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. Second date update.
Alexis
Okay, so I've been thinking. Worst case scenario, our listener, Lauren, is eating dinner with three strangers here. She says she's attracted to one, the guy Adam. But what if a different stranger at that table was attracted to her.
Jeff
Oh.
Alexis
Oh. One of the other.
Jeff
Is that worst case or best case scenario?
Alexis
We don't know that because we've had that happen before on this segment. That's all I'm saying.
Jeff
Oh, like maybe his friend called dibs on her.
Jeffrey
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah.
Brooke
Oh, my God.
Jeff
It just came to me what you were saying. I'm sorry, I didn't understand.
Alexis
Lauren, we need to know, what were the vibes from the other two ladies that you ate with that night? Did you feel anything happening from them?
Lauren
Oh, no, no. Actually they were super helpful. They actually helped me with a lot of the pictures that I took.
Adam
Food.
Lauren
When. Yeah, okay. They were into it, you know, they were super into it.
Jeff
Oh, I didn't.
Jeffrey
It's always nice to have someone there for lighting. You know, someone to put the light.
Lauren
Exactly. But there was no romantic vibe, though.
Alexis
The only romantic vibe you were getting was from Adam or giving.
Lauren
Correct.
Alexis
Or given.
Jeffrey
She said she felt a little.
Jeff
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. How did you guys leave it? That's the one thing I don't think we heard.
Lauren
Well, you know, we. We said goodbye and. And went our separate ways and you know, like I mentioned before, I had texted him after the fact.
Jeff
Yeah, yeah, we knew that part. I didn't know if there was like a hey, I want to see you
Alexis
again or like a four way kiss or like something
Lauren
like that.
Jeffrey
It was a very friendly, though.
Alexis
Yeah, just all.
Lauren
Yeah, poor Joel, you know.
Alexis
Sure.
Jeff
Just four lips at once.
Alexis
Yeah, for that final flavor, whatever it was. We're just trying to get Adam to go you one on one because that's what you're most interested in. So let's give him a call right now. You ready?
Lauren
I'm ready.
Jeffrey
Excited.
Alexis
I'm ready too. Here we go.
Adam
Hello?
Alexis
Hey, is this Adam?
Adam
Yes, this is he.
Alexis
Hey, Adam, I hope you're up for being on the radio this morning because you already are.
Lauren
Hey,
Jeff
here we are, Adam.
Adam
Really?
Jeff
Yeah, it's a show called Brooke and Jeff.
Alexis
Brooke and Jeffrey in the Morning. That's our show.
Adam
Oh, yeah, yeah. I've heard you guys a few times before. Yeah.
Alexis
Oh, you have?
Adam
Why you call. Why are you calling me though?
Alexis
Well, if you've heard of us, maybe you know our segment, Second date Update?
Adam
I, I have heard of that, but I. I haven't been on a date in months.
Jeffrey
He's right. It kind of was.
Alexis
Oh, well, yeah, I guess technically this wasn't a. A, A first date that you went on.
Jeff
I don't think in any form. Was it a date?
Brooke
Okay, maybe.
Alexis
I don't know what to call it. You were at dinner with a group of women, one of whom wants to see you again outside of their workplace. Her name's Lauren.
Adam
Lauren. Oh, okay.
Brooke
Dude.
Jeff
She told us about how she was like waiting for a table for herself and then you came in and said, hey, sit with us. I thought that was so cool.
Jeffrey
Yeah, that's a really nice thing to do.
Adam
Yeah, I did see her there. I thought she was attractive and I was trying to be nice, but I guess no good deed goes unpunished.
Jeff
I like how you're trying to be nice, but you only offered it to
Brooke
her because she was attractive.
Jeffrey
You said punished.
Brooke
Why do you.
Jeffrey
Why'd you say no good deed goes unpunished?
Alexis
You felt punished.
Adam
I was trying to do something nice. I didn't think what was going to unfold would unfold what unfolded.
Jeff
Didn't you have a nice time?
Adam
Yeah, we were all having fun getting to know each other before the actual meal started. And that was all fine. It was the actual eating part that happened. One thing, things took a left turn.
Alexis
Uh oh, is Lauren like a messy eater?
Adam
No, no, it had nothing to do with how she ate. It was once the meals were presented, we were picking up our forks, we're excited to eat. And then Lauren stops everything, tells everyone,
Jeff
wait, wait, wait, stop.
Adam
And of course everyone in the restaurant
Jeff
looked, oh, is that loud?
Adam
And we're thinking, why, why, why, why would we stop? And so she stands up in our booth and she says to me, quick, quick, quick, give me your phone. And I'm thinking, what? Why, why do you need my phone? So. Because I think, okay, okay, give the crazy person what they want. She pulls out her phone and starts recording. And then hovering over, over the meal with both phones flashlights blazing, she's waving her arms around, zooming in and out on the plate.
Alexis
Okay, okay. We still haven't gotten to what part of the meal was weird though.
Jeff
Dude, you sound upset.
Alexis
Still, it sounds to me.
Adam
It was embarrassing to my. I was with my co workers and we were all just trying to be nice, like just give her your phone. They gave her phones three in her hand at one point, but. What are you doing?
Brooke
Okay, there was a rule in the
Jeffrey
foodie world that gets some in trouble and it's the camera eats first.
Alexis
Lauren did mention that you guys helped her take pictures. We didn't know it was like, yeah, a full academy award winning production.
Jeff
Honestly though, even when she mentioned it, it was just like A side. Like, it wasn't a big talking point for her.
Jeffrey
She did a little bit of light or something.
Jeff
She thought that you guys were helping.
Adam
I mean, we. We were just trying to be nice. And when she told us she was a foodie before this happened, we thought, oh, that's interesting. But this wasn't just the first course. This was the appetizers. This was the main course.
Alexis
Okay, well, that is some information that we did not know before we got you on the phone. So I. I apologize for that.
Adam
I just want you to know this wasn't just me ghosting her. Okay?
Lauren
My.
Adam
My friends afterwards said, do not date her.
Alexis
Oh, okay. Well, now I regret bringing Lauren into the conversation of that morning. Lauren, are you there?
Lauren
Yeah, that's. Okay. Look, I understand why you might be skeptical of what I was conducting at the table, but listen, what I do is actually pretty legit. I have a pretty big following on TikTok, and the camera work is part of it. Like, going the extra mile is what I do. Look, I'm gonna send you a link right now.
Brooke
I have.
Jeff
Adam, would it make a difference if she made money doing this? You know, like, if it was her bread and butter?
Lauren
Yeah, yeah, I
Adam
know. For all I care. It's just. It was. It was obnoxious the way you did it.
Lauren
Well, I did not mean to be obnoxious, okay? And I think you might be exaggerating just a little bit. I just needed to capitalize on what might have been the only opportunity for me to eat there, as you could see.
Jeffrey
And if it's a hard to get into restaurant, those videos go viral.
Lauren
Yeah, exactly.
Jeff
I mean, Adam, don't you think that, like, maybe it was on you to say something at the table? Because she obviously did not realize that you guys were uncomfortable.
Adam
Yeah, well, clearly, from what you guys know of Lauren, you've gotten to know her better than I have at this point. She's a very assertive young, young woman. So even if I had said anything, I don't think she would have stopped me.
Jeffrey
He does have a point. I can see her being like, what do you mean?
Jeff
So don't even give her a chance. Okay? Don't. Yeah, that's.
Lauren
Adam, have you gotten the link yet? I sent you a link.
Alexis
Oh, okay. Are we gonna do this right now in the middle of the segment?
Jeff
I mean, would it make a difference, Adam, if the video was really cool?
Alexis
I mean, if he sees, like, it
Jeffrey
has a million views?
Alexis
Just. Just open it up real quick, Adam. Take a look. It might change your mind.
Adam
Might, if it'll put this to bed. Fine. I'll look at your tik tok. Okay.
Alexis
All right, this is a first for this segment where we're having somebody go on to social media and watch videos.
Jeff
Oh, no, no.
Brooke
I do that while we're talking.
Alexis
Well, I just mean outside of the people in this room, we're having the listeners on the phone watch videos on
Jeff
TikTok because we can't see it. Can you describe what you're seeing?
Adam
I see the one that was posted from the restaurant. Wait a minute. Wait, wait. How. How did you get, like, a smoke effect back there? And it looks like there's a light show going? There weren't lights like that.
Lauren
This is what I do, Adam. This is what I do.
Alexis
Oh, wait.
Brooke
Oh, you falsely advertised the restaurant.
Alexis
There's a lot of people that do
Jeffrey
sing the CGI now on TikTok.
Alexis
Adam's sounding a little bit impressed, though, by what he's seeing.
Jeffrey
Is it.
Jeff
Does it look like you want to eat there again, Adam?
Adam
I mean, I would. I was gonna eat there again anyway, but obviously this is a great advertisement. They should hire you. This looks really good. So you're impressed.
Alexis
Maybe you're just biased. Already ate there. No, Jeff, hold on.
Jeffrey
We just made progress. Oh, okay.
Alexis
Let's delete what I said.
Lauren
I agree. They should hire me, and that's why I do this.
Jeff
I mean, would have made a difference if she had given you a head.
Adam
Hold on, hold on. I'm looking at some other videos here. There's. There's tiger in the back there.
Alexis
All right, well, this has definitely taken a different twist. We started off very angry and agitated when we first had Adam on, but now he's sounding very impressed with all of her abilities.
Jeffrey
That's great.
Alexis
So I'm not going to waste any more time. I'm just going to ask Adam, would you like to go out on another date with Lauren? Oh, no cameras this time. You guys just do conversation. Keep it boring.
Jeffrey
Wow.
Alexis
But we'll pay for it.
Lauren
We can go somewhere I've already been before.
Jeff
Oh, that makes sense. Doesn't need to do a video there.
Alexis
As long as we have a gift card for it. Adam, what do you say?
Adam
I mean, that sounds intriguing. Yes. I'm sorry I flew off the handle, but it's. It was like taking in a stray cat and realizing there a ninja. I didn't. I didn't know what to expect.
Jeff
Let's not go with that analogy.
Jeffrey
Yeah, I think you guys are weird enough.
Alexis
Maybe watch some TikToks on how to properly compliment.
Jeff
I do want to see her TikTok though. I'm curious now.
Alexis
Send it to all of us. Lauren, we want to see you.
Jeff
Those are some powerful food videos.
Alexis
Yeah, okay. Well congratulations you two. You got a second date.
Lauren
Thank you Adam. And I forgive you for all the mean things you said earlier on the call.
Alexis
Just don't tell your two female co workers that you're going out with.
Adam
They're going to be pissed.
Lauren
Oh yeah, that's going to be.
Adam
They're going to be mad.
Jeff
Take some work.
Brooke

well, that was definitely a first for this segment.
Jeff
I did not think it was gonna take that turn. I really did not. He was going to change his mind.
Alexis
It's funny that we actually had to wait to let someone watch TikTok videos while we're in the middle of a segment.
Jeff
Yeah, I mean, usually that just happens for Alexis.
Jeffrey
Right.
Jeff
Without us waiting.
Alexis
But you know what? It works. My question though, is did we miss out on an opportunity to send him a link to our TikTok page at Brooke and Jeffrey? Why didn't we do that during the call?
Jeff
Because he may have hung up on us.
Alexis
Yeah, I think we should do it from now on.
Jeff
It's actually a really good TikTok.
Alexis
Okay, I'm about to to ask you if you want to go on a second date with her. You can say yes or no, but before you answer, go check out Jose doing the cabbage patch dance on our social media at Brooke and Jeffrey. We're gonna wait for your answers.
Jeff
Okay. And they're like, what? Wait, why did we make that video 60 seconds long?
Alexis
The bottom line is it worked. We were able to get him a second date. We can do it for you too. Maybe if you email the show, we'll call that person who isn't calling you back.

Episode Date: June 29, 2026
In this episode, the Brooke and Jeffrey crew talk to Lauren, who found herself unexpectedly dining with strangers after being invited to join a reserved table when she couldn't get a seat at a popular restaurant. Lauren later reached out to Adam, the man who invited her, for a one-on-one date but got lukewarm responses. The team investigates why Adam has been dodging Lauren and tries to get to the bottom of their “almost-date” situation—with surprising revelations about foodie social media and ultimately, an unexpected outcome.
On Solo Dining:
The Social Media Moment:
Resolution:
The episode takes listeners through an unexpected journey: what begins as a story of a group dinner and a possible new romantic connection leads to a clash of social norms (and social media habits), but ultimately results in understanding and a playful agreement to try dating again. The hosts turn an awkward almost-date into both entertainment and a real second chance—proving sometimes, viral fame has its perks, even in love.
