I mean, I tried. I called her, and I was like, hey, I'll just ditch the work thing. Like, I don't even care if I get in trouble. And she was like, no, just go. She definitely seemed disappointed, but, like, I think she understood.

It does. And all the things leading up to this are, like, really a once in a million chance. Like, the interaction at the gas station. The actual real number that you got, that she actually agreed to go out on a date?

I would say what really changed my mind is when he went to pick up the bottle of wine at the store.
