If you're a longtime fan of our second dates on this show, then you might remember we did one from Halloween about a year and a half ago, two Halloweens ago, with a woman dressed as Barbie who met a guy dressed as Ken At a party. We have been asking for an update for a long time from them, and now we finally have it.

[Jackie]

What took so long?

[Brooke]

We're going to find out after you hear the original. We have got him back for a very special update. Update that's coming up right after this second date update. We've got a returning listener to the show. His name is Jeremy, and you may remember he was on a second date a while back that we called order in the court because Jeremy and his date were both in the true crime. So for their outing together.

[Jackie]

Oh, my gosh.

[Brooke]

They went to a courthouse and sat in on a live trial, which was.

[Jackie]

Not as exciting as they had hoped.

[Brooke]

Well, what Jeremy's date didn't know is that he's actually been there before multiple times. And showed her all the different courtrooms that he's been in facing previous criminal charges. To be fair, he was never convicted of any of them. And he's a totally reformed man now. Learned his lesson to never, ever wind up back there. And now he's back once again on our show.

[Jackie]

Jer Bear. Good to have you back on again. How you been?

I've been well.

You've been a free man, right, Jeremy?

Once you get out. Now you're Jer bear. Yeah. So this time, you did not go to the courthouse again. Where'd you take her out?

[Jeremy]

Well, I didn't take out anyone. I. I met someone at, like, a Barbie themed Halloween party.

[Brooke]

So fun this year.

[Jeremy]

Oh, it was cool. Was dressed as someone from the Barbie universe.

[Jackie]

Yeah.

[Jeremy]

I went as athlete Ken.

[Brooke]

Okay. Okay.

[Jeremy]

I knew there'd be a lot of Kens, but there was, like, literally 30 Kens there.

[Jackie]

Well, it's not like everyone's gonna dress as Alan. Okay. Yeah, that would be a hard costume to get through a doorway for sure.

[Brooke]

Yeah.

[Jeremy]

So the. The party's pretty cool. They got pink everything. Pink punch, pink Eminem. They have a pink Corvette and they parked it outside so people could take pictures with it.

[Brooke]

That is an expensive party. Is this, like, rich people?

[Jackie]

Is this, like, friends that are throwing this? Is that how you know these people?

[Jeremy]

I was invited by a mutual friend, but I'd never met this girl before. So they had this, like, Barbie box. Like a fake one.

[Jackie]

Oh, yeah. Where you could take all the pictures in.

[Jeremy]

Those are cool.

[Brooke]

I see the movie theaters, Right?

[Jeremy]

So there's this girl, her name's Jackie, and she was dressed as sleepover Barbie. So she's in, like, silk pajamas.

[Jackie]

Oh, that's Cute.

[Jeremy]

So I just. I don't know her at all. She's inside the Barbie box. And then she shouted like, hey, I need a Ken to come take a picture with me. So, like, I just jumped in and we did, like, this photo shoot and then we started hitting it off. You know, it's pretty close quarters. We're dancing and because of all the pink punch, you know, got a little sloppy, but okay. Really easy to start, you know, just good. Just making out a little bit, you know?

[Brooke]

Wow.

[Jackie]

I mean, a Barbie party is prime for that, right?

[Brooke]

Like, yeah, I thought Barbie doesn't kiss Ken.

[Jackie]

Barbie does whatever Barbie wants. Yeah. And if she wants to kiss him on Halloween, she will.

[Brooke]

Barbie's world, Barbie's rules.

[Jackie]

Barbie has a great day every day.

[Brooke]

Yeah, but, okay, you're hitting it off with Jackie, the sleepover Barbie.

[Jeremy]

Right. And then we go and we sit in the pink Corvette and we just, like, relax, talk about life.

[Jackie]

And it gets deep, huh?

[Jeremy]

Going really well. And I'm trying really hard to not ask her for a sleepover, even though she's dressed for it. One of her friends, probably nosy Barbie, came out and said, oh, there you are. Come inside. And then she pulled Jackie back into the party and just, like, left me hanging.

[Jackie]

Overprotective Barbie.

[Brooke]

So, I mean, did you go and take her back, Grab her other arm?

[Jackie]

I would hope he just got her number or something, right?

[Jeremy]

I did get her number.

[Brooke]

Oh, okay.

[Jeremy]

It was kind of like a Cinderella kind of thing because I sent her some texts, I told her how much fun it was, how I wanted to see her again, and then nothing.

[Jackie]

Really?

[Brooke]

Yeah.

[Jackie]

And it's like you didn't even overstep your bounds. Like, you didn't expect anything from her. You were going to make the sleepover joke. Yeah.

[Brooke]

And how long ago was this party?

[Jeremy]

Yeah, this is just last weekend.

[Jackie]

Okay. But it's like if you miss your, like, momentum after, like, a party meet up. Yeah, exactly.

[Brooke]

But at the same time, I feel like Ken and Barbie, like, this is pretty much the most that they do in their relationship. Right.

[Jackie]

Is kiss.

[Brooke]

They kiss in the Corvette, and that's where it ends.

[Jackie]

It's only because they don't have the parts to make.

[Brooke]

But I don't even have fingers like each other. Jeremy, you have the parts, right?

[Jeremy]

I got the good parts.

[Brooke]

Let's try to make sure we put them to use when we do our second date.

Let's not expect that.

I'd like to go on a real date with her. And we don't have to wear.

For me, I don't know the world as well as they do. Yeah, it is interesting that there wasn't a real date out of this. It was just more of like an hour long sloppy Halloween makeout session.

I mean, that's what happens at Halloween parties.

But it's perfect. He did get the girl's number. And the thing is, maybe that was just drunk Barbie giving out her number and not sleepover Barbie.

It's. It's hard on Halloween to meet somebody because it's like everybody's playing pretend it doesn't feel real, you know, like maybe she didn't have the same hopes as you did for a future hangout.

Okay, do we all agree cheating doesn't count on Halloween?

No, it's not what he said.

Oh, that's not. She just means like this guy could be just like a fun story. It's like, oh yeah, that one.

Do you feel like that could be the case, Jeremy, where maybe she didn't take it very seriously?

Well, we had a really good connection.

Well, you know, Tracksuit Ken kind of turned into playboy Ken.

So I was talking to my girlfriend and we're talking about, oh, my God, last night was so great. And I'm like, yeah, I met, like, this tracksuit Ken and he was so cute. We were in the pink car bed and she was like, when was this? Like, in the car vet. Oh, my God, I want to see what he looks like. So he's like, let's pull up the ring camera videos.

Yeah, that's actually smart.

[Mila]

So, like, all of us got together like popcorn pop tarts were looking at this video like, oh, my God, he's like, really cute. Oh, my God, you're making out like this is.

[Jackie]

That's so funny.

[Brooke]

Yeah, one of my things is creepy. Oh, God, you're going to second base.

It's her in the video. And it's dark. It's not like you could see, like, you know, everything in the ring camera.

So we see my friend come out, like, grab me, and we leave. And then we see this Skipper.

Who's Skipper?

Skipper is Barbie's little sister.

Her little sister.

Sorry. Like, no, thank you. You have to make it clear for me. I know all the girls understand.

Yeah, so I was. I went back into the place, was talking to, like, my girlfriends, and Skipper was there, and I was like, oh, my God, he's so cute. Like, he's such a ray kisser. So that same Skipper we see walk to the car vet and start talking to him.

Okay, so now you're seeing on the ring camera your Ken talking to Skipper?

[Mila]

Yeah.

And she gets in the car. Oh, no. And they're, like, talking and laughing, and all of a sudden she just scoots over and they start making out.

Oh, man. Girls are the worst.

No, I'm just. Ok, know it sucks that you saw it on a ring camera, but, like, it's a party. I don't know, but I've kissed two different people at one party before.

[Brooke]

You know, right after your friend kissed them.

But she's not friends with Skipper. I mean, the problem is, I'm guessing that you didn't like seeing him kiss another girl when he said he was interested in you.

[Mila]

I mean, yeah, like, I. I was shocked. I just. I gave him my phone number and I thought that he was interested in me.

But, hey, I just gotta say, I am very interested in you. And.

[Jackie]

But the bottom line is, Jackie, that Jeremy has no interest in Skipper or whoever that girl is. That was a total mistake. He would even admit that. And he would like to see you again one more time. We'd like to send you out one more time to the beach. And we would pay for that date.

I mean, but what if a Skipper shows up and he just, like, runs off into the sunset with Skipper?

[Jackie]
