Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchSeptember 10, 2022This week’s message: The Final Week: Bethany. Some places burst with significance for us. An old house. A place in the neighborhood. A stretch of beach. A country road. To name just a few. Bethany was that place for Jesus. It’s also our starting point in a series of periodic reflections on Jesus’ final week.Next week: Repairing the Breach, pt. 1—Nathan9 AM Worship: Great Room10:05 AM ALL Sabbath SchoolsChildren’s Sabbath School begins with music in the Village Square, followed by a nature lesson and more!Adult Sabbath School takes place in the sanctuary (also live–streamed on YouTube).Young Adult Sabbath School takes place in our Young Adult Classroom11:15 AM Worship: Sanctuary & live-streamed on YouTubehttp://www.brunswicksdachurch.org

Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchSeptember 3, 2022This week’s message: Isaiah’s Loud Cry. This week TJ Trueh and I will begin an exciting journey through Scripture exploring God’s purpose for his people—especially now. We’ve been surprised over and over again by things we’ve discovered and it’s too important for us not to share. We think you’ll agree. This week we’ll specifically be moving through Isaiah 58, though we’ll be coming back to parts of it in the future. The study guide below will be helpful in preparing.—Nathan9 AM Worship: Great Room10:05 AM ALL Sabbath SchoolsChildren’s Sabbath School begins with music in the Village Square, followed by a nature lesson and more!Adult Sabbath School takes place in the sanctuary (also live–streamed on YouTube).Young Adult Sabbath School takes place in our Young Adult Classroom11:15 AM Worship: Sanctuary & live-streamed on YouTubehttp://www.brunswicksdachurch.org

Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchJune 4, 2022This Week's Message: [Dig Deep] Habakkuk. When God and life don’t make sense. The poignant book of Habakkuk, written so long ago, feels remarkably contemporary. See for yourself: “God, how long do I have to cry out for help before you listen? How many times do I have to yell, ‘Help! Murder! Police!’ before you come to the rescue? Why do you force me to look at evil, stare trouble in the face day after day? Anarchy and violence break out, quarrels and fights all over the place. Law and order fall to pieces. Justice is a joke. The wicked have the righteous hamstrung and stand justice on its head” (Habakkuk 1:2–4, The Message). Feel that, anybody? Yeah, me, too.Your assignment—read Habakkuk’s short letter (the prophet wasted no time in getting to his point).https://www.brunswicksdachurch.org

Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchMay 21, 2022The Human Factor. There’s a reason Jesus instructed his disciples, “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19, NIV). And also, “You are the salt of the earth. …You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13 & 14, NIV). Paul asks a related, probing question: “How can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Romans 10:14, NIV). What is unmistakably clear in Scripture is that in God’s redemptive mission, human participation actually matters. Consider reading Isaiah 6:1-8. Ask yourself the question: Do I matter much in God’s great work of redemption?https://www.brunswicksdachurch.org

Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchMay 14, 2022The G.O.A.T: We’ll be talking about GOATs this weekend and it might not be the goat you’re thinking of. We are butting heads with the topic of giftedness and it’s role in our day to day lives.A few weeks ago we dove in together to try and find where Spiritual Gifts were and how we could find our own. This week our challenge is to nail down specifically what the Spiritual Gifts are at Brunswick and what their uses will be for our specific contexts. We don’t all live in Brunswick but maybe God is calling us to do something special where we are and while we are here. Please join me in reading 1 Timothy 4:14-16 in preparation for this week’s teaching.Love God. Love people.—Peterhttp://www.brunswicksdachurch.org

Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchMay 7, 2022This week’s message: Jesus and His Mother. It’s both the day before Mother’s Day and Communion! This week’s brief teaching will find us reveling in the wonder of redemption and finding special encouragement for mothers—and, of course, the rest of us—in the mix of these magnificent, twin themeshttp://www.brunswicksdachurch.org

Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchApril 30, 2022This week begins a semi-regular “series” digging deeper into Scripture—and it’s a hard case: Hezekiah and the Case Against Prayer.http://www.brunswicksdachurch.org

Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchApril 23, 2022Multipliers. “Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds” (John 12:24, NIV). “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19, NKJV). “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19, NIV). Multiplication is embedded in the created world—and it’s in the DNA of the disciple. It’s in the DNA of the church. Kingdom growth is not an awkward contortion of the church or the disciple to dutifully follow orders—rather, as the church aligns with Christ’s mission, it’s natural.http://www.brunswicksdachurch.org

Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchApril 16, 2022This week’s message: Breaking Death. Around the world the incredible reality of the resurrection is being celebrated. He is risen! This week we’ll reflect on the implications of Jesus’ total victory over death. You may find reading 1 Corinthians 15 helpful.http://www.brunswicksdachurch.org
