Let's go. Well, hello again everybody. I am your semi retired, mostly washed up host, formerly of the Rick and Bubba show and now your host for Bubba on the Lake, Bill Bubba Bussy. Welcome in. Glad to have you. Welcome. We have a lot to cover here in podcast number 28, a lot of updates we want to get you up to speed on and we also have some very good interviews coming along. Later in the podcast scheduled to appear Andy Burcham, the voice of the Auburn Tigers. Now, we have been interviewing a lot of these guys, these broadcasters who are very well known and are the voice of this or that. And we also want to continue that with Andy today with football starting. These guys are very interesting. They have amazing stories. I am very fortunate to know most of them just through the industry and I wanted to share their stories with you. So we will continue that with Andy Burcham here in just a few minutes. Also I have an interview with Sharon Tinsley, who is the Alabama Broadcasters association president. We attended the ABA Conference a few weeks ago. We were able to speak with her for a minute on a couple of broadcasting issues and we want to bring that interview to you also. Now we are broadcasting from the Melayella Studio, which I love because I love Mellow yellow. So it's a great combination. Our website is bubbaonthelate.com and of course my email bubba bubbaonthelake.com and we have the message line if you would like to drop us a message. 308 Big Lake. 308 Big Lake. Some of those will make it to air, some of them will not. But we enjoy them nevertheless. I do want to tell you too, we have a new podcast, a second podcast that has come out called the Tailgate Tailgate show. And yes, you heard me correct. Tailgate Tailgate Show. It is a podcast that is for the tailgaters, if you will. And it is. It is being produced by the Not Quite Ready for Primetime Pickers. And if you look at our record the first week, some of our guys, you will understand why we call it that. But anyway, that will come out at usually on Saturday mornings. Now we have several radio partners with that through central Alabama. We also have one in north Alabama. Now, if you'll go to the website, you can check out all that information. The tailgate. Tailgate show.com. we're very excited about that. I'm working with my son, Hunter. Nathan. See, what is Nathan's last name? Nathan Hall. Nathan Hall. Remember now? Anyway, Nathan's a good friend of ours. I've had a long night. I'm sorry. Anyway, you will enjoy it. We're having a lot of fun. We have a guest picker each week and we also are going to have a special announcement this week about a contest, and you don't want to miss that. So the Tailgate Tailgate show Saturday mornings where you get podcast. We also have radio partners that will be carrying it later in the morning on Saturdays in case you're not podcast friendly or you forget and you just want to punch it up on the radio. We're glad to have those guys, too. So we're excited about that. It is a sports show and Hunter and Nathan do a great job and we're excited to do that. Our guest this week is going to be none other than Jimmy Dunaway. The old sports in our shorts, Jim Dunaway. Glad to have him on. He is scheduled to be our guest picker and we will break down the week's first week's game and talk about the second week. So check that out. That is our second offering from Intergalactic Pants and Tees, which is our parent company, our production company, and we're excited to have that on the. On the table. Also. Now I am getting a lot of email about the Minnesota Vikings and the fact that they have got cheerleaders now. And I've seen the pictures. I didn't go and look at the video. I'll be honest with you. It's just. It's just all I could take. Don't get me started on the Vikings. Okay? Many of you know I have been a Vikings fan since I was a small child. We don't know why. I don't know how it got there. I don't know if it was the color. I don't know if it was the horn on the helmet. But I have been a Vikings fan since I was a small child, which means I've had a lot of disappointment in my life. They can find a way to lose incredibly. And they either will be bad right out of the gate or my favorite is when they fake everybody off and they look like they're good. And then they will. They will Fumble one at the end of the season or in the first. First few rounds of the playoffs. And, you know, even if they get to the super bowl, they're going to lose. So, you know, it's tough. It's tough to follow that team. It really is. I don't know why. And, you know, I've declared a few years ago I'm going to be a bandwagon fan. Why do we stick with these teams that we have? I mean, if my son played quarterback, I got it. Or my daughter was a cheerleader, but they're not. Why am I staying with these teams when they bring you nothing but heartache? So I don't pull for the Vikings like I used to. I noticed the Vikings. I might even enjoy a game. But I know my expectation and my limit. So I just don't get excited about the Vikings, okay? I just don't. So that's just where we are with the Vikings. And I know that they've got odd cheerleaders now. Okay? What do you expect from the Vikings? I mean, what do you expect? I mean, it's always a spectacle. It's everything but championships. Oh, gosh. Just. I can't take the Vikings today. It's just too much. It's too much. And I know y' all are. Y' all want to show video, and I know we're not going to do that. We're not going to. Now put that. I don't say that. Put that up. The other cheerleaders are fine. They're matter of fact, very fine. But not that. Not that. No, no. Thank you. Only the Vikings. I know we have. I know we have male cheerleaders in college. I got that. I got that. But it's. It's. It's not like this. It's just. Not just. You take a look for yourself. I'm not going to dwell a lot of time on it, okay? I'm just not. I'm just not. All right, when we come back, also. Okay, quick update, too. I almost forgot my knee replacement. Everything is going great. Rehab is good. We're on the marks. We're moving along great. Had just a little bit of an infection on my incision. We've treated that. We're resting up and don't think it's going to be a problem, but you never want to take a chance with that stuff. So we're doing necessary steps to. To correct that. But I feel fine. I have no problems. I don't feel bad. I don't. My knee doesn't feel bad. My knee feels great, as a matter of fact, better than it's felt in a long time. And so we're moving along. We'll get that done. And sometimes that's just kind of goes with the territory when you have an incision that deep and you start trying to bend joints and you know those things will pop open on you sometimes and you know, it's just part of it. Most everybody I know, I'd say about half of them have had some kind of little infection along the way. So anyway, we're getting that taken care of and we'll continue to move forward and keep you updated on that. But so far I've been very pleased with the outcome. I think we are 21 days post surgery now, August 13th, whenever that was. Maybe not that many. Two, three weeks, I've lost count. Anyway, lot going on here and as you can tell, a bit confused today. So knee is good. We're not going to talk about the Minnesota Vikings cheerleader. I just can't take it. Tailgate, tailgate show. Check that out, if you would. I would appreciate it. That's tell the Tailgate Tailgate show dot com. This is the website Coming up, Andy Burcham, the voice of the Auburn Tigers. And right now we're going to talk with Sharon Tinsley from the Alabama Broadcasters Association. When we come back. Thank you for being with us.
