This mix is just an open digital crate digging session, no theme just great music. A real mix of two halves, the first being deep soulful house from both sides of the pond. Baltimore, NY and NJ feature heavily alongside London. The second half is a more upbeat club sound form more recent years dominated by European heavyweights.Tracklisting:1: thatmanmonkz -Blowin' My Mind2: Simba - Phase Seq One3: 6th Borough Project - Back 2 Black (Cuthead Remix)4: Coeo - The Look5: Mathew Bandy, Dianne Charlemagne - Pieces Of My Dream (The Layabouts Dub Instrumental)6: Kim English - Supernatural (Mousse T. Originally recorded at the end of July but missed the release window. This mix has a nice healthy dose of garage in the centre, but the last third is just straight up fire. The Riva Starr mix of Dennis Ferrer's Hey Hey from 2020 is the highlight for me. Everytime I hear it it gets me going. Genius.Other standout tracks this month, "The Situation", "Better Days" and Dennis Quins quality garage take on Lood's classic Shout-N-Out. So many great mixes of that track to chose from but I love the vibe on the garage version.I put on my very first event last Friday night. A classics night focussing on 1990-93 house. The music was on point and the crowd created such a great vibe. Despite the weather turning nasty just before doors opened everyone that came had a great night. I'm proud of myself for getting out there and trying something new that comes with a fair amount of risk. Already planning the next event later in the year.Plenty of gigs coming up too which is awesome. So last month I started the annual classics series with the 2005 mix. This week I flipped it round and did a mix based on the month I bought the music. Since it's July that's the month I went with. I have done this a couple of times on Pressure Radio with a Junes and Decembers mix. It's fun and helps you reconnect with older music you may not have heard for years. When I started the mix and looked in my music folders I realised that July isn't a common month for me. Up to 2017 I have most years covered all the way back to 2005. In fact July 2005 is my oldest digital track. However in recent years I have been overseas in July , usually at Suncebeat and therefore don't buy music until I get back in August. As a result a lot of this mix is from pre 2015/6. Not that you can tell of course, unless you know when certain tracks were released.I tried to keep a pretty chill vibe for the majority of the mix. Not something I'm used to doing, but for the most part I think I did a pretty good job!It was never going to last the whole mix though and so in the last 30 minutes I let off some steam. Have to say July has some absolute bangers so the end of the mix is strong like Ox.For those of you in Sydney - tickets now available to my inaugural Classics event which will hopefully become a quarterly thing. First one is at Gitano in Double Bay on August 8th. I've been lucky to land Simon Caldwell and Jerry Drew to play alongside myself. The first event is all about the early 90's house scene.>>>>>>>>>Grab Tour Tickets<<<<<<<<<Tracklisting:1: Jill Scott - Coming To You (Terry Hunter & Mike Dunn Soulfrica Mix)2: DJ E-Clyps - Red Velvet3: Bodhi - Haute4: Dave Anthony, Aleysha Lei of Hanlei - I Feel For You (N-Dinga Gaba Remix)5: Martino - Supernova6: Maurice Joshua - I Can't Understand7: Ashley Beedle - The Rising Sunz (Sunrise)8: Jafar & Touch ft Rich Medina - Undeniable Truth (Roots Mix)9: Charles Webster ft Diviniti - Learning To Love Me (P's Deep Soul Mix)10: Donea'o - I (Sean McCabe Mix)11: The True Rebels - True Rebels12: Melchyor A - Juicy Farm (Melchyor A's hmida Mix)13: Gregory Porter - 1960 (Opolopo Kick & Bass Rerub)14: Tarantulaz ft Tiffany Loren - I Wasn't Kidding (Vocal)15: Roberto Rodriguez (Manolo) Max C - Lies (Kyodai Remix)16: Kink - Valentine's Groove17: Fei Fei - So Yeah18: Sidney Charles - Going Down19: Kink - Strings20: Creative Violence - Reprise Tha Dred21: Motor City Drum Ensemble - Raw Cuts (Recloose Mix)22: Seven Grand Housing Authority - I Wanna Go Higher (spiritual mix)Enjoy!

Where do we start with this one. Started off as a regular guest mix show with Emma (aka em_laa) who previously appeared on the show back at the start of the year. However we were having so much fun that when we cut the feed for the radio we carried on for another 2hrs. Yes that's right this is an almost four hour mix.And I can tell you it's chock full of sexy smooth deep house and soulful house goodness. It's hard to tell who is playing at any given time, unless you know our sound and music collections really well.Unfortunately this mix is so long there is very little chance of me being able to do a tracklist!! I apologise.I'm sure shazam will guess a decent number of them, but if you want to know just ask in the comments.Enjoy and share with all your friends (well the ones with great music taste like you)Enjoy!

This mix marks the start of a new series - Back To - in which I dedicate a whole show to a specific year. It's not the first time I've done it. There are three or four such mixes from the old Pressure Radio days. The different this time is consistency. You see I didn't have any theme for the one of my weekly slots. We already have a new mix, crate digging, a guest DJ and now going forward we'll have a Back To. I can go all the way back to 1990 which gives us 37 months before we repeat a year!!We kick the series off with 2005 which was chosen by Dave Miller Lawson (DML) and what a great choice it was.You see 2005 is a pretty significant year. It's the year most DJs made the switch from vinyl to digital, me included. The first six months of 2005 was all vinyl for me. Then around the time I got married in June I treated myself to a pair of Denon DNS-3000s. And with that also came my introduction to the mighty Traxsource, or Cracksource as many of us know it as.I remember reading Brian Tappert's press releases about the platform and getting so excited. You see with vinyl you bought it and had to wait for the postman. Could be days sometimes. With Traxsource you left with your music, it was a game changer. Also the price dropped considerably. I'd been paying 6.99 for a US import, sometimes 7.50. With Traxsource it was just 1.99!Suddenly you could buy so much more for the same money. This is when I stepped up to making monthly mixes, it was now affordable. I don't know what changes producers felt at the time but 2005 is regarded as one of the great years for house music. New genres and sounds were emerging as you'll here in the mix.Do you remember the music of 2005? What were your favourites? Are any in this mix? What year should I do next month?Tracklisting:1: Kolai Krew - Take it Back (Jask's Tribute Shout Out Dj Tool)2: K-Klass - Dance With Me (Main 12 Inch DJ Spen & The Muthafunkaz Mix)3: Simon Grey - The Galactica Suite (4tothefloor Mix)4: Reel People feat. Released just in the nick of time. This is another mix that's been on repeat in my car, on my headphones for a couple of weeks now.I love the flow between the first two tracks, you realise it's a different song it just sounds like the first song moves into a new section. We have a big helping of Mr V in this mix. All tracks you've heard in my mixes before but with a twist. Each is a remix from the likes of Louie Vega, Reelsoul & Dennis Quin and sound very different to the originals as they should.Craziest track goes to KW Griff & Porkchop who get the Mike Dunn & Spen treatment on Bring In The Katz. Whenever I hear I always play a little game of what comes next - Yes or OOH. You'll see what I mean. The beast of the mix is undoubtedly Mattei & Omich's Morgana's Daughter. No idea the significance of the title but the track is superb. So deep, so dirty, perfecto! The remainder of the mix is made up of tracks I haven't played before in 2025, offcut's if you like, but don't let that deceive into thinking these are second rate by any means. Please check out my latest track - "Who Dat" on a cheeky UK Garage tip. Let me know what you think in the SoundClart comments. Had some great feedback on it so far.https://on.soundcloud.com/wzybTBj94CNpEq7eSkIf you haven't heard any of my production tracks yet check them out here: https://on.soundcloud.com/7bynXoclvIDmJcxfTXTracklisting:1: Phil Weeks - Live at Palladium2: Ben Westbeech, Jazzanova - I Can See (Konstantin Sibold Remix)3: Frits Wentink - Rhythm & Blaze4: Jimpster, Rich Medina - This Thing (Turbojazz - Sean McCabe Remix)5: Nathan Haines, Marlena Shaw - Squire For Hire (Fouk Remix)6: Mr- V, - Somethin' Wit Jazz (Reelsoul Remix)7: Trackheadz - Our Music (Kaje Trackheadz Remix)8: Mr- V, Candela, Tony Touch - Put Your Drink Down (Louie Vega Mix)9: Hardsoul - Latino Directions (Deep Latin Groove Mix)10: Next Phase, Helen Bruner - Terry Jones - My Desire (Scott Diaz Extended Dub)11: Mr- V - Jus Dance (Dennis Quin Extended Remix)12 Mike Dunn - Natural High (Riva Starr Mo- Funk Extended Remix)13: Rony Breaker, Chinua Hawk, Brian Tappert - Solid Ground (Brian Tappert Prime Time Dub)14: Angelo Pinela - Splinter (Original Mix)15: Session Victim, Ras Stimulant - Screen Off16: KW Griff, Porkchop - Bring In The Katz (Mike Dunn's Re-Touch Edit of DJ Spen's Remix)17: Pepe G, Craftone - Look Around You (Craftone Remix)18: One - Done - T U THR (Extended Mix)19: Mattei & Omich - Morgana's Daughter (Extended Mix)20: Prunk - Heat21: Dario Nunez, Javi Colina - Baiana 2024 (Original mix)22: Mella Dee - Techno Disco Tool23: Block - Crown - Sexmachine24: Mother, Father, Brother - Sister Franklin, DJ Spen - Respect Is The Message (DJ Spen Mash Factor Mix)Enjoy!

Apologies for the late arrival of the May mix. Ironically it was recorded on April 30th's radio show, but as per you the perfectionist in me wasn't 100% happy with the flow and had intentions of re-doing later in the month which of cause didn't happen. However the more I listened to the mix the more I fell in love with it. Now I don't hear any issues or flaws in it!The tunes in the mix really are top shelf. I feel I got lucky when I went shopping on TraxClart because it's rare these days to land a large number of really good tracks.I must give a nod my friend Emma who played on the show earlier in the year. I got the first track on the mix listening to her playing a chill disco set at a swanky bar in Sydney. I'm increasingly finding great tunes when I'm out hearing other DJs sets and Emma's tastes are right up my street so she often has me Shazamming or loitering around the decks when she's spinning. Some of you may also spot that I included Radic The Myth's "Roses" too which featured on Emma's debut show mix. Such a deep smooth track, incredible.I love the flow of the first few tracks especially as it was the first time I'd heard most of them. Not all of the tracks are new releases but are new to my collection. A great example being the late Michael Watford's "Since I Met You", an absolute beast of a tune. The last track also falls into that category - Sandee - Notice Me from 1988! So deep, waaay ahead of it's time, still smashes a dancefloor.Other notable call outs are Groove Committee - I Want You To Know, another track I heard while out. This time it another mate Phil Toke from Soul Of Sydney who played it while supporting Norman Jay.Lastly big shout to DJ Cinthie for putting me onto Ladymonix - Welcome 2 My House. I love dropping that into a set and watching the reaction.I hope you agree it was the right decision to release this mix. I've been enjoying every day for the last two months and it seemed wild that no one else could!Tracklisting:1: Gaz, The Reflex - Sing Sing (The Reflex Revision)2: Louie Vega - Another Day In My Life (Louie Vega Re-Touch)3: The Philly All Stars - Love Is the Message (Eric Kupper Remix)4: Warehousz - Warehousz - Todd Terry vs PM Dawn5: Ten City - That's The Way Love Is (Louie Vega Extended Mix)6: Dan The Drum, Stuart Patterson - UK House Sermon ft. This is a fun mix from May this year. Just before the start of the show I thought of playing only Copyright and Liquid People music since they were both big UK producing duos of the 00's and I had a decent amount of both of their catalogue.Very much unplanned so no idea how it would turn out. Would there be enough variation in energy to allow the mix to flow?Luckily there was bucket loads. I wasn't initially going to release the mix as I wanted to have a go at programming a tighter set - the perfect mix. However I haven't got round to it and this version has grown on me so I'm gonna share it with you all.For those that don't know Copyright consists of Londoner Gavin Mills (aka DJ Face) a big cheese in both the house and garage scenes in the 90's, a former hairdresser, big Japanese toy collector and now photographer. The other half is Sam Holt who is a huge trainer nut with a BIG collection, former MD at Team Saatchi and hails from my part of the world growing up just down the M55 in Preston. The two were introduced to each other by Matt Jam Lamont's girlfriend in the late 90's. They ran Copyright Records, initial distributed by Soulfuric and later Defected. They were one of the main acts on the house scene in the late 00's-early 10's travelling the world headlining for Defected.Liquid People consist of Conan Manchester and Dan Smith. Conan aka Conan Liquid hails from Colchester in Essex, a master behind the decks as well as in the studio. Had an early release on Strictly Rhythm in 98 under the name O.S.O.T.A. with a track called "Sunny's Theme". Dan Smith aka Danism a Cambridge boy is the soulful side of Liquid People complimenting Conan's percussive flair. The pair came together and formed Liquid People in 1999 working out of H.O.T.H. studios in Conan's home town. The blend of Conan's beat expertise and Dan's soulful production defines their signature groove.I tried hard to mix it up so it's not just a run on any one artist. We played a game in the chatroom all show where you had to guess whether it was Copyright or Liquid People. It was actually harder than you'd first imagine. As you will hear it's a real upbeat mix from the glory days of 00's house. Some BIG tunes from both duos. The majority is on vinyl due to the age, so I was frantically flicking through my records trying to find all of their music! The mixing isn't perfect which held me back from releasing. But if I don't release no one else can ever hear it, and it could become your favourite mix of summer, so here it is. There is easily enough left over to make a volume 2.It was an honour to make this mix and salute two absolute legend duos of the UK house scene. Thank you gentlemen for your contribution, your music lives on in record collections all over the world.Tracklisting:1: Liquid People - See The Stars2: Copyright - Essence Of Life3: Erm - I don't know!!!4: Copyright - Late At Night5: Liquid People ft JB Rose - Our Way6: Liquid People ft Heidi Vogel - Don't You Go Away7: Copyright pres One Track Minds ft Angie Brown - Good For You8: Copyright ft Imaani - Running9: MAW ft India - I Can't Get No Sleep (Copyright Mix)10: Sir Piers - Back When (Liquid People Mix)11: Copyright, Mr V, Miss Patty - In Da Club (Shake Sh*t Up)12: Conan Liquid - Help Me Out13: Copyright ft Tasita D'Mour - Release Yourself14: Conan Liquid - Free Like The Wind15: Copyright - Zamaleya16: Conan Liquid - Moonflower17: Copyright - Mato Grosso18: Conan Liquid - The King19: Copyright ft Imaani - Time20: Liquid People - Son Of Dragon21: Conan Liquid - Quincy's JointEnjoy!

This weeks show was a crate digging session. A digital crate dig, not sure what the word for that is.Music ranges between 1995 and 2012 with the majority of tunes coming from the 00'sThe whole mix manages to stay on a Soulful house vibe, very unual I know. Not sure what happened I must have been in a chilled mood. There is a little Subliminal section from the early days in there for the die hards.Still looking to get the May mix out. I did it on two different shows and now I can't decide which one to release. For anyone in Sydney this weekend you can find me on the Glass Island boat playing from 6:15-7:15. It's the last cruise of the season so it's gonna be special. It will also be my 50th birthday celebration, so even more reason to get your ticket sooner than later. I turned 50 last week. I had a radio show on my birthday, but I was also entertaining. So I played an old unreleased mix from 2016. It was a Copyright vs Rhemi mix. I'm not sure why I didn't release first time. I think I had lofty aspirations to tighten it up and look at the programming. Never got round to it so I will be releasing that mix in the coming days.Any Sydney DJs out there that play on the more Soulful side of house, get in touch if you would like to play on my radio show and get exposure to an internatioal audience. Another special guest show and this month I'm proud to present good friend and Sydney legend DJ Dante Rivera, founder of Klubhouse and countless other Sydney events over the years. Dante was partly responsible for my exposure to Sydney clubbers. He was the first person to reach out post Covid to ask if I would play for Klubhouse. That set has resulted in me playing for multiple promoters around the city.Anyone that knows Dante knows to expect ass shaking Latin House vibes all the way and he didn't dissapoint. The first hour is all Dante so expect to find yourself tapping out percussion on the steering wheel or shuffling across the kitchen to get something out of the fridge. We go b2b for the second hour, which I will admit was a stretch for me. My Latin House is mainly European from the 00's - you can really hear the difference to Dante's authentic sounds, but that's all I have! Hopefully it doesn't spoil your enjoyment of the back nine.Anyone in the city this weekend, you can catch me a Tatler on Friday for a full takeover. Yeah baby I got the place to myself from 9pm to 3am. Whilst I love long sets I will be bringing in another friend Gary Ward to help out.Between us we'll be playing the finest house tunes the last 35 years have produced.Tracklist to follow.........Enjoy!
