Um, they're in town because they're doing a live Show Saturday at 2pm Eastern on Sirius XM at the tailgate stage at MetLife Stadium around SummerSlam. And I got a chance to sit down with Nikki and Bri and chat with them for a little. So we wanted to give you guys some little extra bonus content to take you into the weekend. Um, we talk about, you know, these. They were four. They were like at the forefront of the reality TV mixed with WWE movements. We talk about that a little on the heels of the new WWE reality show that came out. We talk about the. What sounds to me like the most horrifying thing that could possibly happen to your body while wrestling that I'm always worried about that involves breast implants. How exciting has that been for you?

[Nikki Bella]

Oh, my gosh. It's been incredible. It's been a lot of fun. It's just so perfect for this new era I'm in. But the women are so incredible right now, so to get to have this chance to be a part of that, it's. It's amazing. It's been incredible.

Was it difficult getting back into working shape, or do you just stay in shape like that all the time?

[Brie Bella]

Wasn't it still hard?

[Nikki Bella]

No, it's. It's been very hard to get back into that. Because what people don't realize is ring shape is different than anything you can do. You could go run miles, you could go swim miles. It never preps you for what we do in that ring.

[Katie]

Yeah.

[Nikki Bella]

And so the only way to do it is just by getting reps. And so it's been. She's laughing over there because she knows. I mean, my last match was over seven years ago. Oh, my God. So to get right back in, and then with these incredible athletes, it's been. It's been challenging, but in a great way.

[Brie Bella]

But you're doing it, girl.

[Nikki Bella]

No, that's right. I'm like. I love pushing myself, and it's been so fun. And I'm. And I'm doing it.

[Brie Bella]

She is. Even though our last match, her implant ended up in her rib.

[Nikki Bella]

Okay, thanks. I was going to talk about that.

Is it okay? Is it okay now? Can they just push it back up?

[Nikki Bella]

No. Thanks, Brie.

Is that a constant concern in terms of impact? I know that is stupid medically, but I would just be afraid it was going to pop.

[Brie Bella]

Oh, they have many people.

Yuck. What happens? Well, you know, for me, that's mainly people who have saline first of all, so.

[Katie]

And that's not what you have. Oh, my God.

[Nikki Bella]

But it. Like when I had surgery two years ago just to get redone. Because you're supposed to get them done every 10 years. You are? Yes.

[Brie Bella]

I just got mine. Mine are new. They're like two years old. You have.

[Katie]

I'm like, I got eight. I didn't know it was like a tetanus shot. Going back.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Brie Bella]

Wild.

[Nikki Bella]

But when they went in there, they realized that like, one of my implants were busted open at the bottom, but muscle was keeping everything together, so. Yeah.

Oh, my God.

[Brie Bella]

I would have known.

Horrified. Horrifying. You mentioned that. An era. And I know you're not back, which bums me out. You're not back wrestling yet. And you said you were in your soft girl era.

[Brie Bella]

That's right.

[Katie]

I'm so interested. You guys are twins. I feel like a lot of your life has probably been side by side doing similar things. What's it like now with you not making a return to wrestling as your twin sister is back in the ring?

[Brie Bella]

Yeah, I know. It's kind of crazy. You're in your, like, rough girl era. My soft girl era.

[Nikki Bella]

Thanks.

[Brie Bella]

You know, I love it. I think, you know, Nikki and I for so long did do so much together and we still do. We have our wine business and it's kind of nice when as a twin you can kind of like branch off and do individual things. You kind of feel like then you're your own person. And right now, gosh, everything I'm doing, I just. It's just what I love. I actually didn't think, like, something I'm so passionate about could also be something I could share and people would be interested in. I mean, I will definitely say, like, I have a comeback left in me.

[Katie]

That's right.

[Brie Bella]

I think I will find myself back in the ring.

[Katie]

It's not your fault, but not. You're not back in it's circumstances beyond your control that some would say are very stupid, for sure. Others, you guys wouldn't. I would never make you say, but some would say they sound stupid and don't make any sense.

[Brie Bella]

Yeah, I'm living life right now.

[Nikki Bella]

I want her back. Yeah, yeah, we all do. It will. It's. I think for sure at one point it's gonna happen like this. You know, I look at this in my fearless era, not my rough girl era.

[Brie Bella]

Oh, there you go.

How dare you get her error.

You know what I mean?

[Katie]

Like, it's nothing rough about it. It's sexy. It's confident, strong.

Rough can be those things.

You know, let's say rough for the bedroom. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, yeah, I. I. To make this part of it complete for me at some point, when I do hang up the Nike kicks and all that kind of stuff, I have to have that moment with her for sure.

Yeah.

We. There has to be a Bella Twins moment, Obviously.

We will not rest.

[Brie Bella]

We won't.

One thing that's fascinating about you two, you were, like, you know, obviously leaders in for women in wwe, but also, I associate you so much with the reality TV space, and, like, you guys have done so much there, and I'm always fascinated by WWE being the. The F word. Right. Obviously, the action is very real.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Katie]

And a reality show that makes my mind go, like, wait, what? Real? But it's supposed to be kind of a little fake. Was that ever difficult when it came to, like, total Bellas, total Divas, any of that?

[Brie Bella]

Oh, for sure. And we were protective about it. Like, a lot of things. Like, we're like, okay, we're gonna open up the curtain to some of the backstage, but we didn't want you to see, like, everything.

[Katie]

Right.

[Brie Bella]

It was really important to us. And the producers on both Total Divas and Total Bellas were really, like, really great about it. Like, they knew where we drew the line, where we didn't want fans to see, like, so much. Like, we had the opportunity where you could come into our locker room, but we didn't want that. Like, we didn't want you to see, you know, everything. But so I. You know, it's like, it was such a fine line to walk, but I think we walked it really well.

[Nikki Bella]

You did.

[Katie]

And made it look like it wasn't a challenge, which made me feel even crazier. I was like, wait, but it. They're so comfortable being real. I thought they were supposed to be fake.

[Brie Bella]

Well, that's not the whole thing.

[Katie]

But did you find that it increased female fans? Because I do think reality TV is one way to reach out to a female audience that maybe isn't interacting with the product as often.

[Nikki Bella]

Totally. I feel like Total Divas. Not only did we bring so many new eyes to women's wrestling, but we really showed what women did in that era inside and outside the ring. But also, I feel like people were craving inspiration, empowerment. And so these women looked at us and go, whoa. The younger ones were like, I want to be that. And it's crazy to see and hear so many women at NXT were inspired from Total divas and why, that's why they're there. But I felt like women could relate to it. Maybe they weren't getting a ring and kicking ass, but they were in life like, okay, I'm either going to be a mom or I'm in this relationship, but I could go out and be strong and I could dominate a male dominated industry if it's in a boardroom or wherever I work, in a dj, VJ space, whatever. It could be. So I feel like it, what we were doing were inspiring women in their own lives. And they kind of looked at us like, I could relate to that. I could be that. I could be that one day we're.

[Brie Bella]

Attainable goals for sure. And you know, we used to love it because at our signings we'd have like a lot of the men saying like, finally my wife and girlfriend sitting and watching wrestling with me because they're like, we're total divas.

[Katie]

Yes.

[Brie Bella]

And so, you know, I think it was fun and like, especially in that era, I think reality too was. It's not that it was new, but it was still kind of fresh and fun. It didn't feel over saturated.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah, yeah.

[Brie Bella]

So I think.

[Nikki Bella]

And real. We were so real.

[Brie Bella]

I mean we all lived in apartments and like no one was driving fancy cars or in mansions. Like I think people were just blown away when they all saw us. They're like, oh, oh, it's not what.

[Katie]

I think it is. They aren't living like a perfect life, getting chauffeured around and all that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[Nikki Bella]

And we had driving down, down and we had natural competition and drama. So you didn't have to write it for us. It was just happening.

[Katie]

Yeah.

[Brie Bella]

Holiday Inn Express bar. I'm like, come on guys, which show? Can we like go to Chili's at least. At least Fridays.

At least like a fast casual, you.

Know what I mean? Come on.

So they have a new reality show coming out, right? For WWE that everybody.

I think it just came out unreal.

There's a lot of people are talking about it saying like that it wouldn't work. A reality show, wwe. And I'm like, we've. They've done it, right? Where have you been? Right.

Done it and it was successful and it was great.

So I don't know, just an interesting.

So it didn't go well or went well. Okay.

And then I had. It didn't go well for me.

She did good. And she like looked at me like, yeah.

And everyone was like, looking at her like, she knows she's not good, right?

All these other people who are smashed and we're all like together on a balcony.

Some moms from my kids school there and they're like, is that Brie?

Yeah.

When I saw him at school on Monday, I was like, well, like, no big deal. My alter ego.

It was an Italian night that night, right?

Oh, yeah. So we were super into it.

It was. It was wild. They had. They brought in a lot of like, popular Italian stuff in San Francisco. And so drinks were flowing. They had our wine there.

Oh, yeah. And being in this suite, it was. I was just looking at her like, whoa.

And then we rented out the party.
