Hello! It's the podcast taking you courtside between Hamm and Chalamet. Today, Katie picks the world's new worst advertising slogan, before comedian and New York Knicks superfan Sam Morril joins the show to discuss the atmosphere at Madison Square Garden last night as the Pacers came back to win Game One, yet another painful playoff loss for Stavros Halkias, the problems with one specific ref, the absurd pricetag of Sam's ticket, the shot, the celebration, the utter disdain for Reggie Miller, Sam's best stories of Giannis, Latrell Sprewell, and the New York Liberty, Timothée Chalamet living his best life, life as a Giants fan, drinking with the New York Rangers, flag football in the Olympics, and the survival of the Tush Push.

You know, summer isn't just for playing sports. It's for the conversations around sports, too. You know, the casual hangouts, whether they're inside in the air conditioning or out on the beach with fellow sports fans. Whatever kind of summer mood you're in, Starbucks has a beverage to match, like the Summer Berry Refresher, the unofficial drink of the summer. It's so good. It's sweet, but not too sweet. It's three berry flavors and it's everything I never would have thought I wanted, but absolutely do want. It's perfect for sipping while you catch up on last night's scores. No matter what, whether it's. Whether it's that drink or one of their other summer drinks, your summer favorites are ready at Starbucks.

Hey, Isabella, did you see that? The confirmed case of measles at the Shakira concert? Yeah, and I saw it was a non New Jersey resident. That's right. You brought it here. You brought it here to trashland. How dare you. Okay, we got our own diseases we're dealing with.
Brady
What stadium is this?
Katy Nolan
It was at MetLife. Which is the measles of NFL stadiums. Mets. I'm going to a Mets game. When? What? Hello. I'm going to Mets versus Dodgers. That game. When?
Brady
Saturday.
Katy Nolan
And so I don't know if I should wear my Dodgers hat or if I should wear my Mets hoodie or both, because I don't have a team. Don't wear both. Don't wear both. Please don't wear both. We can't. As your friends, we can't let you wear both. You will if. No, they'll probably put you on the broadcast and make fun of you. Okay, so you can't. Don't.
Brady
I don't have a team yet, so.
Katy Nolan
I think I'll just wear nothing like that. Well, not. Not that. Well, also, as your friends, I don't think we can let you do. Do that. Okay, well, I won't get. Are we in a podcast? Is the podcast on right now? Like, what part of the podcast is this? And cue the Music. Hello, welcome to Casuals, the podcast that's like loves sports but is super chill about it. Well today might be a little less chill. We have this tendency to keep doing this on this podcast, having a wonderful guest on right after some sort of devastating loss to their team. And we will continue with that tradition today with our guest Sam Morrill. He's a standup comic. We'll get into all of that. I have to tell you first you guys where you can email us just in case you forget and you've got something you want to say. Casuals with katy nolan@gmail.com our voicemail 646-801-0043 on IG and TikTok we are at Casuals, the podcast. The casualties are here but we're just going to do a quick little intro cause I think we went like an hour with Sam who is a diehard Knicks fan and was at the game last night, watched them lose to the Pacers. Just a couple bits of housekeeping. First of all a couple weeks ago at this point I keep forgetting to do this but on a Tuesday. So it might have been two Tuesdays ago. Cuz you guys know I love Jeopardy. I watch Jeopardy. Every night with my fiance but when he's not home I don't watch without him. So we watch on dvr. So we're a little behind. And a couple weeks ago there was a one day Jeopardy champion named Sarah Gillis who was a Gotham FC fan and I want to shout her out because I loved that. It was very cool when my worlds collided watching Jeopardy, Watching this woman win. And then during her interview she talked about what a big Gotham FC fan she was and I was like let's go NWSL visibility. So I love that shout out Sarah Gillis. And I'm really sorry that it was only a one day but you were very smart. You're a very smart woman. Other piece of housekeeping that Brady's like, I thought this is what you were going to say. This is the much more important thing that you need to say. We're doing a live podcast. Brady, you'll be there, right?
Brady
I'll be there.
Katy Nolan
So it's you and me and a guest. Yes. No, Isabella, she's too expensive. We couldn't get her to travel. Sorry guys, we just can't afford her rate. But yes, we're doing driving, we're doing a live podcast. We're at the wbur. It's Boston University radio station. They have a festival, it's. What is it? Thursday through Sunday Or Friday through Sunday. We're on Saturday, the day that matters to me. Thursday through Saturday. We are Saturday the 31st at 1pm it's at the CFA Concert Hall. You can go to get tickets wburfestival.org and if you want to use the promo code casuals, you get 25 off your ticket. You can go to the whole festival, not just to our show. So that's actually quite a good deal if podcasts are your thing. I know Fauci is going to be there. Brady said, who else?
Brady
Oh, man, you make me give the whole guest.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, just a couple Fauci's there.
Brady
Kristen Kish is the one that jumped because I'm a. My wife's a huge Top Chef fan.
Katy Nolan
I love.
Brady
Everybody loves Kristen Kish.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Wait, wait, don't tell me. A bunch of the NPR's are going to be there.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, so it's good stuff. Whole massive big podcast, a whole mess of big podcasts, and then us little casuals. So come on out and hang out with us. We'll have a guest. I think he's confirmed, but for some reason I'm not saying it. So come on out and. And we're gonna have a fun time. I feel like, Brady, I should ask you this. Probably off pod, but here we are. Transparency. Can we do like interactive stuff with the audience during that? Cause I think that would be the most fun. We've never had a live audience for this before.
Brady
No, we will. We have a wireless mic.
Katy Nolan
We'll be. Hell yeah. Okay. Yeah, definitely come out and get tickets and we'll do some. Some fun stuff. Because I think that's bridge is going to be running up and down the aisle like.
Home Depot Ad
Yes.
Katy Nolan
Oh, we have a question. All the way in the back there. Sprint, sprint, sprint, sprint, sprint.
Brady
If you are standing in the front, you're more likely to get called on.
Katy Nolan
Why in my mind did I think this was going to be outside? Up until just now in this moment when I realized that we're probably, like I said, in a concert hall, every time I've pictured this festival, it's been outside. Is it because of the word festival? I think so. I think so. So it's not. It's not really my fault. And then. No. Yap. Today I just. Can I just get something off my chest? You know when you watch a lot of sports and a lot of the commercials repeat, so you end up seeing the same commercial over and over and over. For some reason I keep getting this commercial for. And just like that, the sex and the City television program and it's driving me up the wall. I, if I, if I have to hear Carrie Bradshaw say a woman's right to shoes one more time, I'm gonna lose it. The timing of the, like, didn't anybody go like, I don't know, they're keeping a lady in Georgia alive just to have a, as a shell to birth a baby that she's brain dead, but a woman's right to shoes. Guys, get it together. Stop running that commercial. Thank you very much. Okay, so that's it for me and the yap that just felt important for me to say. I'm so sorry. I just can't watch that anymore. Our guest today is Sam Morrill, a very funny standup comedian, one of the hardest working standup comedians that I know. He's got a po, he's got, he's on tour. The specific dates we, I say them right. So we can just use me saying them at the beginning of the interview. But go check him out on tour. Sam Morrill dot com. He's a huge Knicks fan. He was at the Knicks game last night. We mostly talk about that and then we get to a couple other sports things. But I really just wanted to, as a Celtics fan, sit in the Knicks loss for a little bit. Sorry, Isabella. She's making a face. It doesn't translate to audio, but she's making a face at me. Okay, let's go to break and then we'll go to Samrall. Our state has changed a lot in the last 140 years. Okay, we're gonna get right into it. Our guest today is Sam Morrill. Let's go ahead and plug your dates up top. Cause we have a lot to get to. Sam, you are what, 7:12? That's July.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
In Red Bank, New Jersey at the Count Basie Center.
Brady
That's an awesome one. Yeah, I saw Lily Tomlin there back in the day. It was a good show.
Katy Nolan
Sick. October 4th in Chicago at the Chicago Theater. That's exciting.
Brady
Oh, it's such a good. It's like. That's like top five in the country.
Katy Nolan
And then December 4th, New York City, New York. Perhaps you've heard of it. Carnegie Hall.
Brady
It's gonna be a good one.
Katy Nolan
Were you playing the violin?
Brady
I could. I think I could do like Allegro still.
Katy Nolan
Did you ever do.
Brady
I did violin for like two months. Really? Yeah.
Katy Nolan
I nailed the instrument.
Brady
Yeah, that's pretty good. I have a friend who's a sick violinist. So if I even say this, he would be like, shut the fuck.
Katy Nolan
It's very cool to watch people who are good at violin.
Brady
It is cool.
Katy Nolan
How do you even. But that's not what we're here to talk about today, Sam.
Brady
And I'm a big person for not canceling a sports appearance. Cause I was at that game with Stavi and that's top Two worst in person sports experiences of my life.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. A Knicks fan, obviously, we should say for people. And Stavros also had to do this on this exact podcast because we booked him. And then the Ravens lost. Look, at first I was like, we can't. I don't want to talk to Sam Morrill right after the Knicks eliminate the Celtics. But then this happened and I said, I would love to talk to Sam Morrill the day after this happened.
Brady
We. They did to us what we did to you.
Katy Nolan
Well, kind of.
Brady
You guys gave up two pretty big leads.
Katy Nolan
Sure. We're not here to talk about that.
Brady
Sure.
Katy Nolan
What we want to talk about last night is that the Indiana Pacers took game one of the Eastern Conference Finals 138 to 135 in overtime against the Knicks after a stunning come from behind victory. They were down 14 with under three minutes to go. They were down nine in the final minute.
Brady
It was like a diddy party. The first half was great. And then right at the end you're like, this is messed up. Children are crying. It's bad.
Katy Nolan
Is that the first half of a diddy party is great?
Brady
I think it would be, yeah. For who? It's like celeb, bro. I think. I think you get all the big stars and you're like, this is cool. And then the people that stay, it's bad.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, that's his opinion, not mine. Walk me through the experience for you.
Brady
I have video footage of Stavi and I screaming like, so excited.
Katy Nolan
Stavros is a.
Brady
He's a Knicks fan because of me. Well, he's from Baltimore, so he couldn't be a Wizards fan. And he's lucky for that.
Katy Nolan
Right.
Brady
But yeah, you can't be a Baltimore guy rooting for Washington sports. So he kind of was like, I'm a Giannis fan cause I'm green.
Katy Nolan
I remember that.
Brady
But.
Katy Nolan
But he received.
Brady
The next year I had a short lived show on msg, an after hours show on msg Shout out. And Stav was the. This is the Knicks network, if you don't know. And Stav was like the writer, huh? So it was me and Stav.
Katy Nolan
So he's like, well, vertoast in the Knicks.
Brady
Yeah, and he got into the Knicks cause he saw how psychotic a fan I was. Because you know, you're working for the team, so you can't be like honest.
Katy Nolan
Right?
Brady
So they'd sign Tim Hardaway to a four year deal and I'd be like, this is terrible. And they'd be like, we can't air that, you know, he's bad, you know? But he'd see me go nuts for, like, Enes Cantor. He's like, this guy's, like, a real fan. So I think my fandom was contagious, and he got into it. And we were actually at the game together. Stav and I have good and bad. It's either the best game or the worst game. We were at the game where Kristof Sporzingis tours acl.
Katy Nolan
Oh, okay.
Brady
Yeah. And I remember me, Stav and Michael Che got blackout drunk after. It was a bad night. It was like. And I broke the news to Michael Che, and he was like. He was like, screw you. And I was like. I just heard someone say it. I'm not like the New York Post. And then we were at game six, where they beat the Celtics. That was a joyful game. But then we were at this game. It's either the highest of highs or the lowest of lows.
Katy Nolan
Do you drink during the game?
Brady
I didn't last night. I had had a couple drinks. I drink on my podcast, so I'd had a couple martinis before, but no, it depends who I'm with. If I'm with my brother, I'll drink. If I'm with someone who's drinking, I'll drink. I try to match the energy.
Katy Nolan
That makes sense.
Brady
Stav doesn't really drink, so I was on coffee pretty much.
Katy Nolan
And so you were wide awake to watch that happen.
Brady
It sucked. It really, really. And you know what's crazy? My lawyer was in our section, and I love my lawyer. He's the man. He's a psychotic Knicks fan. He's at every game with his kid. And if we weren't already friends, I would have fired him. Cause he left early.
Katy Nolan
Ooh, how early?
Brady
Like, 50 seconds in regulation. He said, I know what's coming, and I don't want to be here for it.
Katy Nolan
Which I kind of get.
Brady
He was protecting his son, I guess.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
But you know what? He's gonna find out.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, he will. Somewhere.
Brady
Just let him. Just let him feel the pain. Because that's part of what being a fan is, is you have to feel the absolute lowest. Cause that makes. That makes the highest of highs feel that much better, you know?
Katy Nolan
So true.
Brady
So you have to feel. I mean, I was at the. I was in all the way up in, like, the last with my dad, when Ewing missed the finger roll.
Katy Nolan
Oh, wow.
Brady
I was so. That was another Pacer. So that's why I say top two worst fan moments. Ewing miss it I was probably 10 years old and I just, I remember the moment of just shriek crying dad having to carry me over his shoulder out. And it's like I saw a new generation of that born last night of little Knicks fans in their Brunson and Josh Hart jerseys. Just like, ah, like this isn't supposed to happen. I'm like, this is part of being a fan. You don't get the highs without the lows. I still think we can win the series. I still, I still believe in just having Jalen Brunson makes me believe in this team. And like, you know, we made a lot of mistakes down the. You can't do that.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, well, so go ahead, diagnose the mistakes. What happened? What went wrong? What do you need to see? Change in game two.
Brady
I think, you know, first off when OG fouled Nesmith down the. Is that I don't even know you pronounce it.
Katy Nolan
So I just had the same conversation because I was like, you want to say Naismith, but.
Brady
Yeah, but it's Neesmith Naismith. I don't know.
Katy Nolan
They'll let us know.
Brady
But he, you know, I didn't like that foul because now we're going free throw for free throw and we're shooting terrible free throws that game. Yeah, they weren't even doing Hackamat. Really did it once and we can't make a free throw, so why are we doing that? Also, OG Is the best defender. He's. He's on ball. He's like top 10 easy in the league. I. I think top five because of my Knicks fan bias. But, you know, we didn't look good on the switches last night. Obviously. He got hot. Naismith, whatever, N. Smith, whatever. Who gives a shit?
Katy Nolan
He will not be learning how to pronounce your name.
Brady
You killed us. I don't want to, but, you know.
Katy Nolan
He did kill us, so, I mean, that was crazy.
Brady
That was crazy.
Katy Nolan
Those threes were crazy.
Brady
But you know what's crazy is that first half I was like, we. Because I felt they were calling some real ticky tack fouls on Brunson that game. And it really. I hate when ref. Zack Zarbo loves the camera. He's a little. I really hate that guy. He's a little, like, he's such a little. He is, he's. Look, he's a guy who's like, I work out. I'm wearing my tight little ref.
Katy Nolan
This is a ref whose name. You know, you're not supposed to know the names of refs.
Brady
You shouldn't but we're now giving them the camera because of these challenge calls.
Katy Nolan
I like the way they lean into the camera and go like.
Brady
Yeah. But some love the moment, and it's like a. It's like. You know what it is, the problem? It's like the people who want to run for president should never be president.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
The people who love the camera now, it's like this guy, Zack Zarba, loves being on camera.
Katy Nolan
You can tell.
Brady
He's like, this prick goes to Portofina Tanning salon. He's doing wedge.
Katy Nolan
So I know which ref you're talking about, because I'll recognize him by face.
Brady
He bugs me.
Katy Nolan
Zack Zarba.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
Is crazy.
Brady
The fact that I know his name is Crazy, and the fact that he likes. He likes to deliver the call always.
Katy Nolan
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He does love the camera.
Brady
This guy's a douche. He looks like. He looks like a guy that made it, like, one season on the Sopranos.
Katy Nolan
He played basketball at SUNY New Paltz.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
Well, graduated with.
Brady
Now he's ruining basketball in New York. He. He. Those Ticky Tack Brunson fouls were brutal. Yeah, it's annoying. I mean, look, we collapsed. There's no other way to describe was. It was a. It was a bad loss. It was. It was as bad a loss as I've experienced as a fan because the Ewing one was brutal. But just. This is the modern NBA. You can. You can hit. You can get 14 points in.
Katy Nolan
It's crazy.
Brady
In three minutes, 253.
Katy Nolan
Short amount of time. What's the energy like leaving the stadium when it's a bad one? Because a lot is made of what it's like when you guys win and you riot in the streets.
Brady
What was it like? For me, there's a photo of Stav and I that someone just tagged us in leaving game six when we beat the Celtics. And Stav's like this, and I'm just like, we're, like, so happy. We look like we're like, you know, we're just, like, just experiencing the greatest feeling ever. And then last night, someone went up to Stav and was like, joe Flacco. And Stav just looked angrily at him. He's like, read the room. But then what the real fans do is that, you know, they're, like, brutal, and you're like, brutal, and you fist bump and you move on. But we were in a rough section. There was a lot of. Here's the problem with just modern sports is now with the playoffs, you've priced out a Lot of the real fans. So, you know, I have a friend like Stav, who's a psycho fan enough. Like, we've done well in the last couple years, so we could be like, I wasn't gonna go to the game, but, you know. Cause I'm not gonna go solo. But then Stav's like, let's fucking go. And I was like, let's go. And then midway through the 4th, I'm like, man, I'm really glad I spent this absurd amount of money on a ticket. And then at the end, you're like, I can't believe I spent that much money to feel terrible.
Katy Nolan
I know. How much was it?
Brady
Twelve hundred and eighty dollars. Each. Yeah, I know. Each. Yeah. I thought you meant total each. I'm a crazy fan and I've never experienced.
Katy Nolan
And I'm not judging you for spending it. I'm judging them for charging it.
Brady
You've priced out. Well, it's Ticketmaster. Look, when Luigi killed the. When he killed the United head, he should have gone after the Ticketmaster CEO. Clearly, there are.
Katy Nolan
There's a hierarchy of CEOs, and he did not start at the top.
Brady
Health care is terrible, but Ticketmaster affects. Literally, like, it affects us. It affects us all as well.
Katy Nolan
It's the bread in the circuses.
Brady
So, yeah, I think. Yeah, so we were surrounded by all these finance douches who were like. Who were like, getting up all the time. Like, fourth quarter in overtime. Like, you wait for a whistle before you make everyone get up.
Katy Nolan
It's.
Brady
It's such common courtesy. And they were just not a lot of bros and stuff. And I like, we fucking hate these people. But what are you going to do?
Katy Nolan
I mean, that's so my hot take is that you shouldn't. They shouldn't be showing on the broadcast the camera outside where the home team fans are celebrating. Because to me, that incentivizes or, like, allows teams to price out real fans. I hate that because they show the real fans outside. It's like, the real fans should be inside. They should be able to afford to go inside. And if the energy inside sucks because it's all finance bros. And then they cut to a shot of like, here's the fans outside.
Brady
Well, the energy didn't suck in there. I mean, look, we were still going nuts for the Knicks. It was just like, my section was annoying. I think also, it should work like the housing lottery. Like, you should get like, like real instrument.
Katy Nolan
And does that work? Does the housing lottery work?
Brady
I think it works. I think people get, you know, I mean, my. It's. My biological father scammed his way in artist housing, and he's not even an artist. He's a piece of shit. But he got it. He got artist housing.
Katy Nolan
He got it. So. So it doesn't work.
Brady
Yeah, no, but, I mean, people can get in, is my point.
Katy Nolan
Right, sure.
Brady
It doesn't work the way it's supposed to work, but it works.
Katy Nolan
And does anything.
Brady
No.
Katy Nolan
Does losing this game make you at all embarrassed for how much you guys celebrated getting to this round?
Brady
No. I think celebrating is part of being a fan. Like, we feel the pain, so why can't we feel good? I will say this. I think some of the people climbing the billboards and stuff, like, to me, that's not how I celebrate. To me, that's like, I just want to be on camera.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
That's not a real Knicks fan. I think the real fans, you're just like, yeah, we did it. You know, and you high five. And like, for me, it's amazing. Cause I celebrate just by, like, all my friends texting me. Yeah, all my friends. Like, I have the longest text thread after a win, and it's like, two texts after a loss. It's like, my brother and my friend Chase.
Katy Nolan
That's good, though. One of my least favorite things about being a fan is after a loss, the texts you get and you have.
Brady
To go, like, I love it, though. Yeah. But after the wins, though, and you're just like, oh. So I think, you know, I think you're allowed to feel good. I think that's part of me. I would never, you know, trash a fan for feeling good after a win. I think that you're allowed to feel good.
Katy Nolan
Funny you say trash a fan when Knicks fans threw trash.
Brady
Yeah, I don't endorse that, especially. I don't like giving fuel to the fire for any team. Like, that's why I was like, when they're chanting, fuck you, Boston, I'm like, how about let's go Knicks? Or how about, like, let's keep it positive? Let's keep the. Let's not anger the basketball gods. Because I think the Celtics angered the basketball gods by intentionally fouling Mitchell Robinson. I think that's a really. I think that angers the basketball gods.
Katy Nolan
Why?
Brady
Because it's just a bitch move. It's a. You know.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. Do you also feel like. When was it ESPN that posted bigger than basketball? Knicks fans rally and support Robinson at the line.
Brady
I don't like that either. He's an NBA player.
Katy Nolan
His job is to make he's not.
Brady
A make a wish kid. I hated that.
Katy Nolan
I hated that he's being made fun of.
Brady
No, he's just amazing at everything but free throws, right? Mitchell is amazing. I. We love him. I mean, he's. And he's also the longest tenured. Nick. He's just a beast. Like, you see how demoralizing it is to play against these guys? Like when. When Mitchell and Josh Hart and all these guys are just ripping boards out of your hands. I mean, that's why they're such a lovable team. But yeah, who gives a shit? No, support him. But also like, I don't like when they get too cheerful at home.
Katy Nolan
I like basketball.
Brady
Yeah. ESPN sucks. Everyone knows that.
Katy Nolan
He said it, I didn't.
Brady
They're great. I mean, I like some people on there.
Katy Nolan
The people are good. Yeah, the people are good.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
Let me make sure I milk you for all of the content from game one that I need to. I mean, when that. At the end of regulation, when that.
Brady
Ball bounced up, it was the longest in air and I knew it was going in.
Katy Nolan
Oh my God.
Brady
And I thought it was a three. It was one of those. That was so painful because you knew. You just knew they weren't missing at that point. The way. And the fact that Halliburton. It's funny, a lot of Halliburton has that like Herky jerky and Brunson is the same thing where like, they're. They're hard to guard because they're just. They have weird movement.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
You can say the same about Mikhail Bridges. They're all kind of like. They're not going to like Kyrie, break your ankles, but they're going to do some weird herky jerky shit to get open and. Yeah, Halliburton is. Halliburton and Brunson are both really clutch players and they're going against each other. I mean, this is going to be. I think this could go seven, honestly.
Katy Nolan
That'd be exciting.
Brady
Here, here's the thing. It's good for basketball. The Knicks and the Pacers and the disdain. Like, I never hated the Bulls. Cause I mean, I hated them, but we couldn't get over the hump. Yeah, the Knicks rivalries growing up were always the Heat and the Pacers.
Katy Nolan
How old were you for the original pacers? Run, like 90. Was that 93? Because your Wikipedia, by the way, says that you were born in either 86 or 87.
Brady
86.
Katy Nolan
What is that about?
Brady
Wikipedia, what is that about?
Katy Nolan
Well, everybody just has their birthday.
Brady
Wikipedia also says I'm from Chelsea, Massachusetts, because I was born in. This is what I've been told. Born in. I was born in Chelsea, Manhattan, and David Letterman shouted me out once. And it was like, one of the greatest moments. He goes, this really funny Boston comic. I was like, God damn it.
Katy Nolan
Hell yeah. Another win.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
Hell yeah.
Brady
Fuck.
Katy Nolan
Shout out.
Brady
Because he probably just saw my. Wikipedia would be my guess or someone. He's like, where's he from?
Katy Nolan
Yeah, probably. I can't.
Brady
I can't picture Letterman doing Wikipedia.
Katy Nolan
Somebody did.
Brady
Someone did a tour of him.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, for sure. So in 93, you were then seven. Okay. So, I mean, that's like, for a little boy.
Brady
First memory.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. That's like, great sports memory.
Brady
Yeah. And look, I love John Starks with all my heart. I know he shot 2 for 18 and in game seven, I know he met. But like, I love John. And he's also. I've met him a couple times. He's so cool. He's like. He's the nicest. He's the nicest man.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Yeah. That was my, like, that was my jersey growing up. My brother wore Ewan and I wore Starks.
Katy Nolan
That's cute.
Brady
Yeah. And I love. I mean, I love the whole team. That team got me into basketball, like, Mace Oak. You know, Derek Harper was awesome.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
That guy was, like, just crafty as hell.
Katy Nolan
And do you still have, like, residual. Has your hate for the Pacers, like, remained.
Brady
No, I'm broken. I feel hungover today. No. Part of being a fan is, you know, it never really goes away. I think Reggie Miller, my mom was like, we don't say Reggie Miller's name in this household. Like, she knew we hated him. He was hated. He was. He was a troll. He was. The thing you have to give Reggie is that he. He was clutch. He was a showman. Halliburton's trying to do that. I mean, Halliburton is definitely a poser. I thought the way he. I thought last year when he showed up in a different outfit and left in the Reggie Miller choke shirt. Just wear the choke shirt to the fucking game if you're going to be that guy.
Katy Nolan
Okay, Strong take.
Brady
Don't bring a change of clothes to troll us after you won, you fucking pussy.
Katy Nolan
And then also, what if he angered the basketball? Go by wearing it before the game.
Brady
Have the balls to anger the gods. If you're that good. Have the balls to poke. To poke the gods. And also the fact that you were trolling, like, okay, yeah, you beat us in seven last year. We didn't have any. Our whole team was depleted.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Like.
Katy Nolan
Well, you could make that argument about other teams that maybe you beat, like.
Brady
The Celtics, but we were up 31 when. When you were depleted. Okay, we were. And also, you know, you can make that argument for the Pacers that they beat. Dame didn't play.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Giannis had no help. Giannis and then Dom Halliburton's dad.
Katy Nolan
Okay.
Brady
Trolling Giannis, I think.
Katy Nolan
What did. You saw that. What did you think when you saw that? I was shocked because I'd never really seen.
Brady
Have some respect for one of the greatest players in the world. And. And one of the classiest.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
And I will say this. Giannis, he. He hurt me a few years ago. He did. Because I did his benefit. And it was. Hasama Naj was like, I'm doing Giannis benefit. I'm bringing you. You and Ronny Chang. Want to come with me? And I said, of course. You know, I love Giannis. I'm a Knicks fan, but I love. How do you not love Giannis?
Katy Nolan
He's the greatest.
Brady
He's incredibly charismatic. He's one of the greatest players ever.
Katy Nolan
Very talented.
Brady
Yeah. And it's a benefit. As a comic, you just do benefits. When someone asks, you just do it. That's part of the code. You donate your time. It's not a big ask. So we're at the Rainbow Room. Stav's supposed to come with me. Cause he's the biggest Giannis fan ever. And he's like. I'm like, dude, just put on, like, a blazer or something because it's a nice thing. And he's like, I don't own a blazer. I was like, just fucking wear a leisure. Where would I. I don't give a shit. And he's like, all right. And then he's just like, I just. I can't do it. I'm. He was like. He. He bitched out or something. I don't know what it was like.
Katy Nolan
He was like, stavros didn't go.
Brady
He didn't go. Cause I think he was just like. I don't know why. I think he was maybe road tired or something.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
But then we go. I think maybe he thought, like, he's not gonna meet Giannis. Giannis hung after. He was cool as hell.
Katy Nolan
Oh, my God.
Brady
So I have a pretty. I have a good set. I have a. I have a good set on this show. And I'm doing, like, I Like a Magic Johnson AIDS joke. And I see Mayor Adams in the crowd, like, Clapping. I'm like, what a weird setting this is. I know. Cause I'm like, fuck Mayor Adams. But then I see him laughing. I'm like, nah, that guy's all right. Maybe. I don't know.
Katy Nolan
He likes my jokes.
Brady
He likes my cows.
Katy Nolan
Now I like him.
Brady
And Giannis and Thanasis are so innocent that I'm doing this kind of. I'm doing my act. And to them, I just see their faces, like. Like, they're so. They're so childlike. And so they're like, oh, my God, I can't believe he said that. And after the show, Giannis is. You know, the whole Bucs team was, like, pretty cool. Like, Bobby Portis, really nice guy. Talked to him briefly. And I always liked Bobby Portis. I like guys who play like that. He's intense, you know? And Giannis is like, you know, do you like the Bucs? And I was like, fuck the Bucs. Go Knicks. I said, no disrespect. Like, you're great. I like your team. They had Holiday. Then I was like, this is a cool team. You can't not like them. Middleton, Holiday. They're all really good players. But, no, I'm a Knicks fan. He was like, well, he looked like a Fender. I'm like, I'm a New Yorker, dude. What do you want? And I said, you should come play here. And I did my little recruitment pitch.
Katy Nolan
Nice. How'd it go?
Brady
And he goes, you know, I am a free agent soon, and I. And I love New York, okay? And I said, we have better Greek food than Milwaukee. Milwaukee's a. Got good food. It's a good food city. Sure, but New York's got better Greek food. We got more Greeks. And he was like, new York. And it was catered by a Greek restaurant, the whole thing. And he was like, I might come. And he. And the Nazis were smiling. They were probably just fucking with me. They were probably just like, let me fuck with this dumb kid. But, yeah, no, he. But he really. I really ran with it. I was like, he told Giannis, told me he's coming to New York.
Katy Nolan
I met him. I met him, and he's coming.
Brady
But now look. I mean, it looks like now he would want to come here. That's the thing.
Katy Nolan
Who knows now?
Brady
I mean, no one wants to go to the Brooklyn Nets.
Katy Nolan
Why not?
Brady
Do you want. Have you seen Barclays? Why not?
Katy Nolan
Yeah. It's not.
Brady
It's hopping for a Liberty game. It ain't hopping for a Nets game.
Katy Nolan
I mean, it's hopping for a Liberty game.
Brady
Liberty games are fun. I dig it.
Katy Nolan
It's fun. You've been to a game?
Brady
I've been to many games.
Katy Nolan
Hell yeah.
Brady
I went to the finals. I'm a big lip fan. One of the funniest moments was they put me on the big screen to absolute silence. And then they put some. And then they put some lesbian artists I've never heard of in the place.
Katy Nolan
Like, yes, Hell yeah. That's how it should be. As it should be.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
So that brings me to two things I was gonna say to you. Number one, did you see that your boy Mayor Adams is temporary. He's still the mayor, right? Technically, yeah. Yeah. He is temporarily co naming streets in Manhattan for all of the New York knicks. So all 15 players have a street sign somewhere.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
And. And. And I guess my question is, do you think Mayor Adams knows the Liberty won a championship?
Brady
Uh, probably not. Do you think? I don't know. Yeah. Hey, I was. I was loving that game. Even though Sabrina had a John Starks game.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
And still, I mean, that was. That was a tough one because I was trying to get. I was trying to get someone into basketball. That game. My buddy. I was like, oh, they're doing. I'm like, no, the women's stuff is pretty good. And then he watched. He was like, this is the worst I've ever seen. Like, that's not a good game to get someone into ball.
Katy Nolan
Fair. Fair.
Brady
But no, I was pumped. They won. But that game sucked. Yeah, that game sucked.
Katy Nolan
But it. But it's a winning game, so you can still be excited.
Brady
I was happy they won.
Katy Nolan
Brianna Stewart finally win, though.
Brady
They're. They're tough.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
And I like. I like the coaching changes when they. I love Vandersloop, but you had to put her on the bench just for size in that series.
Katy Nolan
Always a complicated choice.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
And then speaking of the Jumbotron, I feel like obviously New York being New York, there's a lot of very famous fans. I was gonna say you were at the game last night, but I didn't. They didn't. Does it feel hurtful? Oh, okay. So you only get on Celebrity Row when they give you the tickets.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
Cause I was gonna say, does it feel hurtful that you're famous enough during the regular season, but you get bumped?
Brady
Oh, of course not. When it's in the playoffs, anytime they hook you up, I'm like, this is. I'm. This house money I'm playing with. This is all gravy. Anyone who's like, no, this is the greatest It's. I. No, I have no complaints.
Katy Nolan
If you had to pick a row of famous Nick fans to sit next to, who would be, like, your top?
Brady
Honestly, just my friends. You know? Just like my friend. I mean, I. Sounds corny, but, like, you know, I love going to games with Stav. I love going.
Katy Nolan
It is corny. It is corny, and it blows up the bit.
Brady
Okay, fine. I like sitting near Rock. I like. If I'm. If I'm near Rock, that's cool as hell, because Chris Rock's the man.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
And he's like. He's the funniest, right? Stiller's cool. Stiller's really cool, right? Those are. Yeah, those are like.
Katy Nolan
That's it. Two.
Brady
Okay, fine. I'll throw in Spree. Well, I sat next to Spree at a game, and he was awesome. I was making him laugh, and that was, like, the most satisfying shit ever, because I met him in a bar once, like, years ago, and he was not nice to me. It really. It hurt. And now. And he's really. I think I just caught him on a bad night because he's super friendly.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Yeah. I met him, like, in Milwaukee. I was playing Milwaukee years ago. It was probably, like, 2012 or something. And I saw him in a bar, and I was just, like, drinking the bars. Like, that's fucking Sprewell. And I was like, what the hell? I'm in a Nick sweatshirt. Like, I wear Nick shit all the time. So I just went up to him. I was like, I don't want to be like, mm. But he was just like. He was just like, what do you What? And I was like, hey, Spree, I'm a huge fan. Can I buy you a drink? And he was like, I already got a drink. And I was like, all right. Well, that was one card I could have played.
Katy Nolan
Whoa.
Brady
I was like, I'm a comedian. I'm playing down the. If you want to come to a show, that'd be. I don't know what to say. I panicked.
Katy Nolan
That was a good thing to say.
Brady
And then he goes. He goes, yeah, don't count on it. I was like, all right, 0 for 2. And I think I just gave up at that point. And then I went over, and some guy was like, let me handle it. I work for Bleach. I don't know what he was, who he was, but he was like, I work for Bleacher Report. And I was like, I don't know what that means, but go ahead. Went over. I just see Spree being like, hell, yeah. So we just screamed at the guy. I'm like, I got off easy, whatever that was. So I see the bartender and she's like, yeah, he's really cool. He's in here all the time. But like, he's just, you know, sometimes he's not in the mood. And I was like, I get it.
Katy Nolan
I love the. Just pointing at your shirt.
Brady
I didn't have anything. It was pathetic.
Katy Nolan
Remember this?
Brady
I love. He was of that era. Probably my favorite. I just loved how he played. He was just. And he choked his coach. It's fucking hilarious. And the fact that he choked his coach and we got him and he was amazing for us. The fact that that worked out. Yeah, he's the man. And then at the end of the weekend, the bartender from the bar was at my show and she was like, I'm texting Spree about you right now. I was like, really? And she goes, that comedian from the other night, he was talking to you. His show, really funny. And he go, he writes back, yeah, I met him. Great guy. And I was like, what?
Katy Nolan
What?
Brady
I think he was just like, I don't give a. I don't remember any.
Katy Nolan
Of this, but this story is wild.
Brady
It's weird. Yeah. But then I. But I sat next to him at a game once, and he was cool as hell.
Katy Nolan
He was nice then. Did you say, I'm the guy from the.
Brady
No, God, I'm the. I'm the guy. You didn't remember a day later?
Katy Nolan
It's been a few years. How about now?
Brady
No, I. I had him laughing. Because what I do when I'm behind the basket is I do like, I'll like stomp on the ground when the opposing team shoots free throws. Cause it is annoying. Cause it's not like you're just screaming. You just like feel it. The floor. So I just start stomping like this. And it was working. I had like, Josh Giddey missed like four free throws. Cause I did it. And Spree just was like, yes, it's working. He just kept high fiving me and I was like, this is insane.
Katy Nolan
It's a much better interaction than the first.
Brady
It was way better.
Katy Nolan
All right. How do you feel about Timothee Chalamet, the newly crowned king of Nick's fandom?
Brady
I mean, he's on a heater. What can he say? I mean, anyone who's like a real fan, I respect that.
Katy Nolan
I seems to be.
Brady
Oh, yeah, the picture with Landry Shamon and Andre Rollin. Yeah, yeah.
Katy Nolan
When he was like a baby.
Brady
Yeah. He's a. He's a. He's a really good actor, and he's like. He's legit. I love it. I. I love seeing Knicks fans happy. So, you know.
Katy Nolan
Oh, that's cute.
Brady
Yeah, we've all. We've all been through the ringer with it, you know, we haven't experienced. That's the thing you see at this game. Like, I see. I see little kids in their. In their jerseys. I see old people. I saw an old guy on a walker come in. It's like, you know, you just want to see the. The team win. It's. It's part of being a fan.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. I wanna let you get off some of your frustration. I figured I would just tee you up with just some names, and you can just talk to these people about how you feel about them. Reggie Miller. We'll start with Reggie Miller.
Brady
How could I ever have anything positive to say about. And the fact that he gets to call the games is, like. It's insane.
Katy Nolan
That is kind of crazy.
Brady
That's why I'm like, I'll spend more than $1,300 if I don't have to listen to this piece of shit call the game. I hate Regi. He sucks. He was a great player. Obvious. But, yeah, no, I'm not a fan. And he's not even a good broadcaster. Like, the thing is, like, if he was good, I'd be like, all right. But he's not good. Like Mike Breen. If we give us a homer. If they get a homer, give us a. Give us Mike Breen, who's arguably the Goat.
Katy Nolan
Rick Smits.
Brady
God, he was annoying. Tall, lanky Anne Heche, if she was 7, 4. I mean, what the hell are we looking at? He was annoying as hell, and he. He was. Look, that whole team drove me nuts.
Katy Nolan
Chris Mullen.
Brady
Mullen, you know, he was never really a Pacer to me, but at the end, yeah, he was a. Yeah, Mullen. I mean, anyone who's a complete alcoholic and still is able to manage an NBA career, I have mad respect for. I mean, that's. That guy had, like, a red nose by the end, and he was still reigning three. It's like, he was incredible. He's a New York guy, too, so. So that's what's tough with Mullen. He's St. John's legend.
Katy Nolan
Jalen Rose.
Brady
Jalen Rose. I mean, I think of. He's. God, he was only at the very end of that run.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Yeah. He's not. I don't have the same disdain for him that I do. Like the Davis brothers or those guys.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. What about Larry Bird?
Brady
He's like. It's hard to think of him even as a Pacer, he's Larry Bird. It's like thinking of Isaiah Thomas as like the Knicks front office. It's like he's Isaiah Thomas. You gotta just be like, he's one of the greatest ever.
Katy Nolan
Okay. So you don't have as much heat for them as I thought you would.
Brady
I have. It's really. Reggie. I hated Mark Jackson, but Mark Jackson's also a Knick. It gets. The lines get blurred. I mean, it's very difficult. But I mean, we got Mark Jackson when he was like. He was like fat at the end. It was like I was. I was like, what this guy?
Katy Nolan
Body shame. A coach.
Brady
I know. No, no, no, no. But he was a Knick again. He was a Nick. He was a Knick in, you know, drafted by the Knicks a little before my time.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Then he was a Pacer, so I hated him. He also had a knack for hitting those like half court shots all the time. I don't know how, but he had that weird ass release. But yeah, Mark Jackson was a great player. Underrated. Like people forget. He's like, he's top 10 assists. I think he's like an all timer.
Katy Nolan
How much do you hate. Cause I hate the. You know how they make every team now have a postseason slogan and the Pacers is Yes, sirs.
Brady
Ugh, that's like some Silence of the Lamb shit.
Katy Nolan
Yes. And then an apostrophe, A, C, E, R, S. Yes, sirs.
Brady
I don't even get it. What does that have to do Hate.
Katy Nolan
Like Pacers, yes, sirs, but also sirs, you know, like, yes, sir. I hate it. I hate it.
Brady
Yeah. I mean, look, the Pacers are a corny ass fan base. I mean, look, I get it. You live in Indiana. It's a big basketball state. Whatever. You got the Hoosiers, all that shit.
Katy Nolan
Sure.
Brady
But ugly ass yellow uniforms, I hate. I just. Not a fan.
Katy Nolan
Yes, sirs, I understand.
Brady
I'm wearing yellow shoes right now. I didn't plan on that.
Katy Nolan
Those don't look yellow. Those are more like marigold orange.
Brady
Yeah. All right, good.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, you're fine. Don't worry.
Brady
Good, good.
Katy Nolan
Nobody's gonna think that you're a Pacer.
Brady
I'll burn these right fucking now. Walk home barefoot. I don't give a shit.
Katy Nolan
I think. I think Halliburton's dad should be allowed to come back. They banned him from coming to Gay.
Brady
I think he should come back. I think I saw Stav tweet. Let me fight him. Let's Stav fight this guy's dad.
Katy Nolan
I just think, like, with the. With the history and the interaction between fan and player in this rivalry, I feel like Halliburton's dad could add some real interesting.
Brady
The only reason I agree is because Brunson loves fuel.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
And his dad, he. I would. I think Brunson would love to rip this kid's heart out in front of his dad. Yeah, let's fucking. Let's rip Halliburton's heart out.
Katy Nolan
But he's so good.
Brady
So is Brunson, but he's so good.
Katy Nolan
Have you been watching any other sports?
Brady
Not during this period. It's just too. I'm all in on the Knicks. It's ruining my life right now. I will watch. I'll watch some baseball when.
Katy Nolan
It starts to matter.
Brady
Look, if the finals is Pacers okc, I'm not even gonna watch. So, I mean, if it's T. Wolves, Pacers, I'll watch.
Katy Nolan
Okay. And then you would root the table.
Brady
I'd root for the T. Wolves, for Randall and Dante, for being former Knicks.
Katy Nolan
Are you gonna go to more games?
Brady
Yeah. Yeah, probably. But I can't go to Game 2, though. I don't want to bring bad juju in. And that was. I feel like I have a stank on.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, wait till they go and then come back and then go to that game. Five, right? That'd be five.
Brady
Oh, yeah. I say that now, I might end up a game, too. I don't know.
Katy Nolan
We're just gonna see you there. Hammered. Screaming.
Brady
Hammered. And, yeah, I will. I will be screaming.
Katy Nolan
What do you. Are you, like, taking. Do you, like, take nights off from doing spots? I feel like you work a lot, but during this time, you're just not doing spots because the Knicks are playing.
Brady
I got texts last night at the Cellar. Will Sylvince was like, where are you? You're next. And I go, I'm not fucking there tonight. And I was like, I told Esti I won't work on Knicks nights. She gets it. She's a psychotic Yankees fan, so she completely gets my fandom. Esty is the booker at the comedy seller, and I love. Look, I did 50 cities already this year. I'm tired anyway, so I feel like I don't feel even that guil about taking some time off right now. I was on a tour bus for, like, 50 dates, and. But I. Yeah, I text her. She texted me like, spots. And I was like, oh, I can't do Monday. That's game four. Or game. Maybe it was Tuesday. It was game. She gave me a spot in a night I couldn't do. And I was like, no, that's a game, and I can't work on games. No, I won't do it. But she's also. She moved to New York when it was like, you know, she's from Israel, and she moved to New York when it was like Frazier and Willis Reed and shit. So she was like, oh, my God, that was the coolest team ever. And then she was a huge fan of the 90s, and she kind of. She fell. She was kind of like, you know, kind of a casual the last 20 years. And now she's back in.
Katy Nolan
Oh, that's fun.
Brady
Cause of Brunson. She's like, he's unreal.
Katy Nolan
I mean, he is unreal. He's very fun to watch.
Brady
He's awesome. And I mean, it's the whole team. I love the whole team. Like, I love og I love. I love Josh Hart and Brit. I miss some of the guys from last year because you grow with the team. That's part of being a fan. I really thought Hardenstein was a man. I thought he played. He was awesome. I loved. He was like a brick wall. I loved the way he played. I love Dante. I love Julius. I thought Julius was kind of the scapegoat, unfairly for some stuff. And one guy, when. When you're the best or the second best player, sometimes you get a lot of the shit. And he was. He was great for us.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, it's a good team, a fun team. We have. Our producer, Isabella, is a Knicks fan.
Brady
She told me. We talked about it on the way in.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. She's a part of this podcast is us trying to get her into more sports. And it's been very fun watching her.
Brady
You're big baseball.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
You're like a big baseball person.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, big baseball. Big hockey. Those are my big sports.
Brady
I like the Rangers. Gary Veder, who tours with me, is a psychotic Rangers fan. Gary Veeder. So I got. We'll watch some Rangers on the road. We've gotten to a couple games. Oh, man. I can't say the player, but I got hammered with a Ranger one night at the Comedy Cellar, and I feel like he completely shut me out. I feel like he hung with me one and was like, this guy. I don't want this guy. It's a part of my life. What I think it was like this guy's a bad influence, and I'm already playing under the bright lights of New York.
Katy Nolan
And so it was like, you got him too drunk. And he was like, I can't hang out with a guy who's gonna get me drunk all the time.
Brady
I didn't even think it was me calling the shots. I thought he was kind of calling some of the shots. I was kind of like, I'm not a shot drinker, but, you know. Oh.
Katy Nolan
Literally, the shots. You were doing shots.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
And then you hung out drunk, and then you never heard from him again.
Brady
He was like, I'm a fan. That's kind of how it started. And then. And then. And then I was, like, kind of crept back in, and he was like, oh, yeah. He was kind of, like, cold. I was like, oh, that's.
Katy Nolan
I would immediately think I did something wrong while we were drinking.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
I don't think, like, I was embarrassed.
Brady
I wasn't that messed up. Like, I don't. I remember I didn't black out. I remember the night. So I'm like, I don't think I did anything that bad.
Katy Nolan
Maybe he was embarrassed.
Brady
Maybe.
Katy Nolan
Maybe he thought he drank too much.
Brady
I did try to kiss him, but other than that, I don't think I did anything that weird.
Katy Nolan
But I thought he was fine with that. I didn't think he'd have a problem with it.
Brady
No. I love. The Rangers are, like, in a rebuilding mode right now. But, like, you know, the year before, they were so fun to watch. I always love watching, like, True Check in the playoffs and stuff. And, like, I love Igor. And Henrik Lundquist is, like, the coolest dude ever. I know.
Katy Nolan
So cool.
Brady
He's so nice.
Katy Nolan
So cool. He's so, like, his suits fit perfectly. His hair is always perfect.
Brady
He's so handsome.
Katy Nolan
I know.
Brady
It's, like, insane. I know. I was like, also, I did his podcast and I left and he texted me. He's like, you forgot my fragrance. Like, he gives a gift bag with a fragrance.
Katy Nolan
And I was like, did you loop back? Did you go back? Of course.
Brady
I'm not going to leave Henrik Lundquist hanging. And, like, I just smelled it for the first time, like, a week ago, because my friend was like, oh, I smell like shit. And I'm like, we can, like, shower. And he's like, nah. He's like, do you have any cologne? I was like, no. And then I was like, wait a second.
Katy Nolan
I do.
Brady
I do have a cologne. And it's, I guess technically a perfume. It's a men's perfume.
Katy Nolan
What is that?
Brady
What's the difference? I don't get the Scandinavians. I don't know. But then I gave him the Lundquist I smelled. I was like, holy shit, this smells incredible. I'm not a cologne guy. I was like, he's like, this is incredible.
Katy Nolan
Which is funny because hockey players notoriously smell horrendous.
Brady
But he just looks like he smells great, too.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, he does.
Brady
But. Yeah, but there's something cool about hockey players because they're just fucking animals.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. And they also have this, like, quiet sense of humor. They're very funny, but they're not, like, over the top funny. They're like, funny.
Brady
You know what I mean?
Katy Nolan
They're, like, subtle.
Brady
Canadian. Canadians.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. Yes.
Brady
A lot of Canadians.
Katy Nolan
It's like a very Canadian and sense of humor.
Brady
Dry.
Katy Nolan
Yes, dry. That's how we'll say it.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
All right. I was going to go through some other sports stuff with you, see what you think on your takes on this. The Thunder obviously beat the timberwolves in Game 1, 114 to 88. That was Tuesday night. Dan, you know your friend, my fiance was a Denver fan. Was eliminated by okc.
Brady
I was rooting for Denver. I wanted a. I wanted a Denver Knicks. I think the Knicks match up well with Denver.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
In the regular season, we always play them really well. I know the playoffs are different, but, like, also, I just love watching Jokic.
Katy Nolan
He's so. It's so fun to watch him play.
Brady
I just love him. Like, he's the coolest. And it's funny where people, like, he only cares about, like, horse racing. Like, you don't play that way if you don't give a shit.
Katy Nolan
Right.
Brady
He's the MVP. I mean, he should have been MVP over SGA's. Amazing. No disrespect, but, you know, it's. I don't love watching sga. I don't love watching the OKC Thunder either. That well. And I also think, you know, I'll always have kind of a place in my heart of, like, fuck the Thunder for taking Seattle. That should be the Sonics.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
I'll never fully.
Katy Nolan
Because Dan would not stop with the, you should be the Sonics the whole series.
Brady
Oh, really?
Katy Nolan
He was so mad.
Brady
I'll never fully accept them because I love Seattle as a city.
Katy Nolan
It's a great city.
Brady
And I like okc. I play there all the time. It's a cool city. But, like, Seattle is the shit.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
And it's such a good fan base. And Washington State is such a basketball state. Like, you go to East Washington, like, Gonzaga. So many great players came out of Washington State. There's something, like, kind of messed up to me, like, you need a team.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, they do. They deserve a team.
Brady
They deserve a team. And the Sonics colors were cool.
Katy Nolan
I was gonna say it was cool. Merch.
Brady
Yeah. Sean Kemp and Peyton was so cool. I mean, like, I. So. So. I don't know. I think it's messed up the way they just picked up and moved. And it's crazy that KD was drafted by the Sonics.
Katy Nolan
I know. I always forget that Jeff Green.
Brady
That was so weird, so strange. But, yeah, Thunder are incredible. And it seems almost like, unfair how well set up they are for the future while being this good.
Katy Nolan
I know.
Brady
But, yeah, I mean, I love Hardenstein. I'll always love Isaiah Hardenstein. For the two years on the Knicks, he was one of my favorite Knicks. I thought he was an awesome player.
Katy Nolan
Minnesota hadn't played in a week. When they played, there's always this conversation about rest versus rust.
Brady
Yeah. I mean, I'm sure there's some truth to that. Like, you know, you don't want to get comfy.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
You know, I think about, like, taking time off. Stand up. I feel rusty sometimes, but, you know.
Katy Nolan
Which is so silly, because time off is like four days for you.
Brady
I know, but I. It's fun. I mean, I. But think about it the way we came up as common. It's so stupid to compare to sports, but if you took a night off, you felt like a piece of shit.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
And I had friends who were so hardworking that they would make. They would never judge me, but they would make me feel like a piece of shit by how hard they would work. So I was like, oh, I have to do this. This is what you have to do to be good. Cause they're already hilarious, and they work this hard, so I have to do this.
Katy Nolan
But it also feels like if you stop, if you don't have that inside of you, you would not have a. It just, like, it can go away. You have to keep getting up.
Brady
Well, I've seen people get rusty. I've go to, like, writers rooms, and then they come back. I'm like, this guy's fucking weak now. What the hell? Yeah, this is bad. So I think you have to. But then I think that's how the great players are. Like, I. I see the way Brunson responds to a loss, and it gives me hope that we'll be all right, because that guy's so self aware. Like, there was A game against the Pistons where Brunson shot. I think it was game two. He shot too much down the stretch, and he was aware of it, and he adjusted and got everyone going the next game. It's stuff like that, I think, like. Like, it's not just the practicing. It's like studying game tape. And to me, that was like, you know, watching specials, watching, like, Richard Pryor growing up, watching Chris Rock, Dave Attell, like, Louis, all the comics. I was like, oh, you should know these people. So you gotta. I always appreciated the players. I remember talking to Walt Clyde Frazier once, like, years ago, interviewing him. And of course, they cut out all my good questions, of course, and cut it down to, like, we're gonna do.
Katy Nolan
That as well here. We're gonna take out everything he says.
Brady
I remember being like, dude, you were ruminating with Phil Jackson. And they cut that. I'm like, that's so interesting that they were roommates together. And he looked, like, shocked that I knew all this stuff. I'm like, dude, I've read all those old books about the Knicks, I love.
Katy Nolan
But they probably left in you being like, what does basketball mean to you?
Brady
No, they left in being like. So you use a lot of big words during the broadcast, you know, But Walt, he's so cool, and he's such a genuine good guy. And I remember asking him, like, do the young guys ever ask for advice? And he goes, never. And I thought that was so weird. Like, you have this living legend here. You're not gonna pick his brain. Like, if I'm talking to one of the great comics ever, I'm not going to be like, can I pick your brain? But I'm going to, like, I'm going to soak shit up. I'm just going to be in their presence, like, oh, I. Oh, Chris Rock's talking. I'm going to shut the fuck up and listen and absorb this. Because, you know, so I was. I said, that's. That blows me away.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
And granted, we were a bad team at that time. You can tell Brunson and Hart and these guys have so much reverence for Walt, and it means something to him, and it means something to the culture. I think you have to. You have to have that love of history or like, what are you doing? Like, it's a lack of respect if you don't, I think, for what you do.
Katy Nolan
Oh, yeah. For the players. I was just thinking of it. I always try to think everything in terms of who we're trying to get to listen to this, which is a Casual fan. And I. I always try to make them feel better about, like, you don't have to know everything about a team to root for them, but you're talking about players.
Brady
I think, like, if you. This is what you do, why wouldn't you want to know everything about it? Why wouldn't you.
Katy Nolan
How have you not studied everything about. How are you not absorbing everything that you possibly can to get better at it?
Brady
Exactly. And that's. And that's advice. And that's, you know, game, tape, and that's everything.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Yeah, okay.
Katy Nolan
Good point.
Brady
But I am. Yeah. I hope the Thunder T. Wolves go seven.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
I just like everything to go seven. Honestly, it's my most. I hope everything goes to overtime. I hope everything goes to seven games.
Brady
Last night, I didn't.
Katy Nolan
I can't explain the. It's my favorite thing about sports is that everyone is gathered, watching the same thing, having an emotional reaction, action at the same time. I think it's like a. It's very rare in the world now that everyone's just sort of rooting for the same. And I think around the world, anybody watching that game stood up. When the ball bounced up and then dropped, it was just like a. Even if I, like, I have no rooting interest in this series, but it was just like, oh, my God, your heart.
Brady
Your heart doesn't want one team to win over the other.
Katy Nolan
No, I mean, I wouldn't. My heart wants one team to lose more than the other. I don't care who wins.
Brady
You want the Knicks to lose?
Katy Nolan
Yeah, but not, like, a ton. I don't, like, even want it that badly. It's why I'm hesitant to say it. I live a little bit close to msg, and after the game that you guys, like, rioted, it was, like, loud for a long time, which I was like, go away. You're not even in the finals. This is crazy. And so if they win, I'm just.
Brady
Like, speaking like a true Boston Celtics fan who's experienced more joy than us.
Katy Nolan
I'm going to have to walk my dog at a weird hour so that I don't bump into, like, crazy, drunk, rioting Knicks fan. And, yeah, I'm a little salty, though. We do have a championship that I can just rest with.
Brady
Yeah, you got. You got a ring last year.
Katy Nolan
And basketball, I mean, you were.
Brady
You were a dynasty in. In the making that we. That we were built to destroy and destroyed. You did. You did get a ring.
Katy Nolan
Great. Basketball's not my sport, so I don't care as much As I could, but. But then I also think about, like, I'd be happy for my New York friends that root for the Knicks. So I don't like really, really want them to lose, but I wouldn't.
Brady
I get it. It's complicated. Fandom is complicated.
Katy Nolan
It sure is. I wouldn't hate it. Did you see that? NFL owners unanimously approved players participating in flag football when it debuts at the Olympics in 2028.
Brady
So. So a current player can play in this.
Katy Nolan
So NFL owners passed a resolution 32 to 0. They all unanimous on Tuesday that will allow league players to try out to participate in flag football at the Olympics. A maximum of one player from each team will be allowed to participate. And each club's designated international player is also permitted to take part for his country.
Brady
That's weird. I mean, some of these new events, I know you got to be bummed if you're like a curler and you're like, this is our one time.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. People care about us. Once every four years.
Brady
I gotta compete with Saquon Barkley now. This is crazy.
Katy Nolan
Well, that would be. This is the Summer Olympics. Right. I assume. And that's got. Yeah. And that's Winter Olympics. But. But if I were a trampoline gymnast, I'd be like, this is my time to shine. And now you're gonna be having NFL players at the American Olympics in la.
Brady
Well, for three on three in basketball, they didn't allow players. It was like, what's his name, the shoe from byu?
Katy Nolan
Fredette. Jimmer Fredette.
Brady
But it was like non current. That made sense to me.
Katy Nolan
But then.
Brady
But then we were worse. Cause we have all these great NBA guys. So it was a disadvantage.
Katy Nolan
But it's interesting. Flag football at the Olympics.
Brady
Yeah. What's the point?
Katy Nolan
I don't know.
Brady
We already have the best football. Why are we doing flag?
Katy Nolan
I don't know. But I like, you know, NFL. We're always talking about how great our sport is and that's like our. We love it like put it in the Olympics. I think baseball should be in the Olympics. Softball put all of it in the Olympics. Why are we not. But flag football. I assume that's just because they want to not hurt people they don't want. Players wouldn't want to play and get hurt for the Olympics. Olympics.
Brady
You could still get hurt in flag football.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
I mean, look at all these non contact injuries now.
Katy Nolan
True. That is true.
Brady
But yeah, that would imagine. Imagine tearing an Achilles in flag football. That would be that. You would never live that down.
Katy Nolan
Mortifying and Then you would have to. And you'd lose money professionally.
Brady
Well, the Mets closer got. Diaz got injured during a celebration.
Katy Nolan
Oh, yeah. I. That's happened quite a bit. Players celebrating something. I remember I went to a game, can't remember who it was, but it was Patriots playing somebody. I want to say it was the Eagles, but it probably wasn't. And they, like, celebrated a sack and went even. He was just, like, thrusted. I was just like, what an embarrass. It wasn't even like a. You didn't even get points. It was just a sack.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
Now you're out of the game.
Brady
That sucks.
Katy Nolan
Just mortifying to celebrate. But, you know, baseball in general has crazy injuries.
Brady
Didn't Kevin Brown back in the day get injured opening a DVD or something really stupid? Because that would never happen now. Everything's. You download the movie and now. But, like, back in the day, he's like, I think I opened a DVD.
Katy Nolan
And sliced up a finger.
Brady
I think something like that.
Katy Nolan
I could. I could see that happening.
Brady
He was always injured. He was great, but he was always injured.
Katy Nolan
You can't keep opening up DVDs. More from these exciting meetings in the NFL. The tush push not banned.
Brady
Yeah. I don't.
Katy Nolan
Did you have a strong stance on the tush push?
Brady
It's kind of. It's whatever. It's not like. It's not like a play. I'm like, fuck, yes, the tush push. But I get. I get why it's used. It's like you're trying to get a yard. Right.
Katy Nolan
I mean, do you get why people wanted it to go away?
Brady
Cause it's just. I don't know. It. It feels like very much like out of a. A movie or something.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Like, it's like the last play in a kid's movie or something. And you're like, we.
Katy Nolan
We.
Brady
Tosh pushed him. I mean, it's. Whatever. It's. Yeah. I don't. It doesn't do much. Look, the Giants have been irrelevant for a while. I'm hoping we're good. Yeah. I mean, we did get two on your Patriots.
Katy Nolan
Sure did.
Brady
The two best. Probably. The first one was probably the best sports moment of my life because.
Katy Nolan
Was that the helmet catch?
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
The first one.
Brady
David Tyree that was up there. Cause Eli, just like you just. No one thought we were gonna win that. It was crazy.
Katy Nolan
Certainly not me.
Brady
I mean, it was pretty iconic, but, yeah, it's been. I mean, I remember. Yeah. This last 10 years of being a Giants fan has been pretty brutal.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. I mean, it has.
Brady
I'm okay with it. Cause I got the. Got to watch the two Super Bowls. But, like, man, it's been pretty hard to watch.
Katy Nolan
You're putting in your time right now. This is when you're like, it's just bad.
Brady
It's like, you know, we wasted Odell Beckham. We waste Saquon Barkley. Like, we wasted all these talents. And the Daniel Jones era was not great.
Katy Nolan
Wasn't your best. Wasn't like a. Wasn't a high point, I don't think, for the Giants.
Brady
Not a fan.
Katy Nolan
Do you still watch every Sunday, though, even when they suck?
Brady
I watch for, like, a quarter, and then I can't take it. It's like. It's just torture. It's like, why I. I watch them? Like, why am I watching this? This is just like. It's like 34 to 3. It's not even like, if there was hope, if it was like, we were bad, but there was, like, hope every game. Yeah, but I don't want to watch a blood. Daniel Jones. My friend's a bartender at the Cellar, and he's like, daniel Jones is here. Do you want to meet him? And I was like, I'm good, actually.
Katy Nolan
No, I know.
Brady
I never thought I would get there.
Katy Nolan
I can't be honest. And so I kind of don't want to because I. Otherwise, I'd have to go like, yeah, I'm a Giants fan. I don't, like. I didn't. I didn't like you.
Brady
I can't shake his hand and be like, good job.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
No, I can't. I mean, it was so. I was like, that's one of those.
Katy Nolan
Things where you're like, if I can say big fang, I'll go meet him. If I can't, I'm not gonna lie.
Brady
And he seems like a really nice guy, too. That's the thing that, like, I. I wanted to like him. And he had that one playoff game where I was like, is he fucking good?
Katy Nolan
Yes. Everybody was like, daniel Jones is in his.
Brady
Yeah. And he. He just. Yeah. It bums me out when every coach is like, he's the man. He's awesome. The players seem to love him. It just didn't work.
Katy Nolan
Didn't work. That happens.
Brady
But I wish him the best. I hope. Which is what Trump said about Jalaine Maxwell. So I don't know how.
Katy Nolan
Jesus Christ.
Brady
I mean, what. I wish him the best. He said, I wish her well or something. But, no, I. I hope he. I hope he gets a shot somewhere. Because I, I, I I would love to see him do well. He seemed like a good dude. But you know what? He's worth like 140 million.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, you know what?
Brady
It's like.
Katy Nolan
Wah. Poor guy.
Brady
Poor guy.
Katy Nolan
The. The big story from the tush push was that they made like a big speech. Jeffrey Lurie made a big speech. It was like an hour long at these meetings, ratings basically trying to argue for the tush push. And in the end he said it's a win win for the Eagles because it's like a wet dream for a teenage boy to create a play that's so successful that the only way for it to be stopped is for it.
Brady
And that killed Jimmy. Or say that comment it was too.
Katy Nolan
It was like, that's the gross.
Brady
Oh my heart.
Katy Nolan
That's nasty.
Brady
Damn.
Katy Nolan
Do you feel like creating the tush push is like a wet. I mean because I was never a teenager, I try as I might and do you feel like that is a good analogy? Because I don't.
Brady
Yeah, I used to picture like a dude that looked like Jalen Hurts getting pushed. And then I would just, I would come all over myself. Yeah, pretty crazy.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, totally.
Brady
No, I don't know what the hell he's talking about.
Katy Nolan
It just feels like one of those things where you're like, you wanted to get up there and talk about come.
Brady
And then you did.
Katy Nolan
You found a way. You found a way.
Brady
He's like, like cums in his head. He's like, I can't adapt, I gotta fuckin.
Katy Nolan
They have to help. Roads lead to cum. Troy Vincent, who who's the EVP of football operations for all of the NFL got on stage and was like, you shouldn't have. Why did you say that?
Brady
Yeah, what the hell? What the.
Katy Nolan
Basically. And then this I think is my favorite story. The Enhanced Games are coming in May of 2026. A new company hoping to infuse unprecedented levels of science, money and performance enhancing drugs into Olympic style sport. It's basically Olympics with drugs. They're doing an Olympics, all PED Olympics.
Brady
That's kind of cool.
Katy Nolan
Kind of. They're holding their first formal competition. They've announced it is May 26, May 2026 in Las Vegas.
Brady
Of course it's in Vegas, of course, where everything's fake.
Katy Nolan
They're gonna host it in exactly one year, its first annual competition. Athletes will be allowed, if not outright encouraged, to use PEDs like steroids, testosterone and growth hormone that are typically legal to possess but banned in sports. They say they hope to remove the stick stigma of using these Substances, stigma of cheating, and promote safer ways to push the limits of human performance.
Brady
So it's not like steroids, it's like, natural.
Katy Nolan
No, it's steroids.
Brady
Oh, okay.
Katy Nolan
Ped is like steroids, testosterone and growth hormone.
Brady
Oh, yeah. So that's like. Okay. I mean, we tried this in the 90s. It was awesome.
Katy Nolan
I mean.
Brady
I mean, Bonds hitting those bombs, that was fun as hell. Right, but how do you feel about that?
Katy Nolan
I don't know. So there's. They said it's an effort to create superhumanity. They're trying to be superhuman. I get it. I get the quote was, we are here to move humanity forward. The old rules didn't just hold back athletes, they held back humanity. I like that he's speaking about it in past tense. Aren't still around.
Brady
Also, it's like, we're not landing on the moon, we're sticking a needle in your ass.
Katy Nolan
Right. But I get it. I guess if I had to, I get it in the sense of, like. Like, we'll never know what humans could do if we let them do these drugs. We'll never know just how fast you could really go.
Brady
But don't so many of these dudes just die?
Katy Nolan
Yes.
Brady
I mean, that's the thing is, like, I. I watched a lot of pro wrestling growing up, and then like, you're just like, oh, everyone's dead at 49.
Katy Nolan
I know. And like, the. Their muscles are all bulgy. It's like a.
Brady
You ever see that documentary Bigger, Stronger, Faster?
Katy Nolan
No.
Brady
It's really good. It's Big A about this guy who used to do steroids and his brother was a pro wrestler and he died. And it's like, it's really well made, but it's about the obsession with being. It's like it was made like 20 years ago or something. But it's like everything is still so true. And even then you're like, what? And that was at a time that seemed like people were less obsessed with. Now everyone's so obsessed with fitness, or at least it seems that way.
Katy Nolan
It also seems like in recent years, anybody caught with, like, performance enhancing drugs, it was mostly recovery stuff.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
Like, it was like, something to help you recover so you could get back to playing right away. This feels like. Not that this isn't like, we want to let them take stuff that helps them. They're like, we want them to inject themselves and turn into super people and compete in. I think the three events are swimming, track and field, and I think the third one was wrestling. But it's like, there's plenty of PEDs in wrestling.
Brady
Yeah, it's. I, I. The weird thing about in baseball when they were doing is, like, most of those guys were it. You're saying, like, for recovery. And I get. Was it. Andy Pettic got in trouble for recovery.
Katy Nolan
I feel like a rod might, too, have been related to recovery.
Brady
But a lot of those guys did it at their peak. It's not like they were, like, 40 and trying to stay in baseball. A lot of them were, like, you know, at their best. And just. That was kind of weird to me. Like, this is. You're already. This is. It's all downhill from here.
Katy Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
But. Yeah. I don't know. I. It doesn't. It doesn't sound like something that interests me that much.
Katy Nolan
No. But, I mean, I'd watch. I'll probably watch it.
Brady
Yeah.
Katy Nolan
If it, if it.
Brady
You feel like you probably have to watch everything for sports just because I used to.
Katy Nolan
I used to feel that way, and it was very stress. Now I, like, enjoy doing it. Now I'm like, oh, let me watch the college softball World Series. Not because I have to, like, watch it as homework, but because I'm interested in it as a game and somebody might care about it and we can talk about it. So, like, this is the most. I'm right now having the most fun watching the most sports that I've ever watched.
Brady
Yeah, that's cool.
Katy Nolan
And then. Okay, our last story. There's a. So the Rockies, Colorado Rockies baseball team. They are 8 and 41.
Brady
Yeah. I feel like they've never been good in my life. Life.
Katy Nolan
Have they? I feel like when we were younger, didn't they have, like, a good season? Brady would normally jump in.
Brady
They always had a sick offense, but their pitching was never good in my lifetime. I feel like I remember growing up and they had, like, Larry Walker and that guy was unreal. And Andre Galarraga and Bashet and Vinny Castillo and Ellis Burks. They were just all guys who could hit bombs, but then their pitchers just always sucked.
Katy Nolan
And they're also. Their stadium certainly doesn't help with that because it's just 2007 World Series.
Brady
They got swept out by the Red Sox. It's pretty much the best. Wow. I forgot they made the.
Katy Nolan
I forgot about that, too. And I'm a Red Sox fan.
Brady
Wow.
Katy Nolan
Huh?
Brady
Weird.
Katy Nolan
I'll sit with that. But this. So they're the fastest team to 41 losses since 1895. A man, a fan of the team, is suing them for negligence because he was Struck in the face with a foul ball while sitting in a Coors Field luxury box. And he's blaming the team's poor performance. It says defendants long standing. Poor performance on the field has contributed to a game day environment in which spectators, particularly those in luxury suites, are less engaged with the action on the field.
Brady
That's a hilarious thing because like, you suck so bad, you're injuring your fans.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, I'm not watching because of how bad you are. And because I'm not watching, I'm getting hit with a ball.
Brady
Honestly, I never thought I'd side with a person like this. But it's not a horrible point because you're so disengaged by how shitty they are that you're like, I'm just gonna fucking have a conversation or look at my phone. And then you get belted in the face.
Katy Nolan
Yeah. And being like, hey, I paid all this money. I'm in the luxury suites, I'm here for an expensive price and you're not giving me my money's worth. So I'm like playing on my phone.
Brady
Yes.
Katy Nolan
And then I'm getting hit in the. You're just basically inviting me in to hit me in the face.
Brady
I was at a game with a Yankees game once and a friend of mine got hit in the head. Mike L. Mike Lowell hit a line drive is when he played for the Yankees. Michael hit a line drive, hit one of the poles holes and hit him in the head. And we were. My friends were like, oh, we were like, we gotta. I guess we gotta take him to the hospital. It sucks.
Katy Nolan
Did you.
Brady
Yeah, we had to go to like the. In stadium hospital and he had like a concussion or something.
Katy Nolan
Did they give you anything?
Brady
I don't remember.
Katy Nolan
I feel like now they would be like, meet, come meet the players. We're so sorry that you got bonked.
Brady
No, I think they were just like, this pussy didn't even put his glove up. We were young enough. We had gloves.
Katy Nolan
We had gloves.
Brady
Yeah. Yeah. He. He was terribly uncoordinated.
Katy Nolan
But you were right next to him.
Brady
Yeah. No, he was like, three down. I couldn't have made it.
Katy Nolan
One of your friends could have, but certainly not you.
Brady
Someone could have helped. I reached up, he was paying attention too. He just sucked.
Katy Nolan
That sucks. I reached up once to try to catch a. It must have deflected off of something. Cause there's no chance I'd be barehanding a actual hit. But I think it bounced off of something and I reached up to grab it and I punched my friend in the face by accident, trying to get it. And it was on the Jumbotron. So everybody just sees me, me punch. She's like, oh. And then her nose started bleeding, and.
Brady
I wish there was footage.
Katy Nolan
Got the ball.
Brady
That's incredible, though.
Katy Nolan
Pretty brutal. That's my ball catching experience.
Brady
Damn.
Katy Nolan
In baseball. All right, Sam. That's basically everything.
Brady
That was fun.
Katy Nolan
Do you want to plug any more? Anything else? You have, like, a million podcasts. You don't want to say the name of one of them.
Brady
Oh, we Might Be Drunk with Mark Norman. That's my only podcast.
Katy Nolan
That's it.
Brady
Yeah. I used to do games with names with Julian Edelman, but they started filming in la, and. And I was like, I can't go to la.
Katy Nolan
But he's like, your friend now.
Brady
I love him. I'm making a movie and he has a cameo in it, and it's like, he's so funny. I love him. He's like one of the coolest dudes, a great human.
Katy Nolan
Yeah, those Boston athletes are pretty cool.
Brady
That's how we came together is the Boston versus New York thing. And that was. The funny thing about doing that pod with him is like, I'd be like, oh, who's our guest this week? And he's like, Paul Pierce and David Ortiz. I'd be like, oh, come on. It was brutal. But I.
Katy Nolan
The greatest.
Brady
No, but I loved him, and he's the coolest guy. But, yeah, I do the pod with Mark Norman. I'm on the road. I'm off for a little bit, but, yeah, Red Bank, New Jersey, Carnegie Hall, Chicago theater, a bunch of other stuff.
Katy Nolan
But catch him there or catch him at a Knicks game.
Brady
Yeah. And I have a bunch of specials if you like, stand up on Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, all over. So everywhere, spread out everywhere.
Katy Nolan
That's usually a good sign that that industry's doing a great job of whatever it's supposed to do.
Brady
Oh, man. It's a bad. I chose a bad. But I'm. I'm fortunate. I have a good group around me.
Katy Nolan
And you're very good at it.
Brady
Thank you. You too. This is. This is good. It's a good show.
Katy Nolan
