She's comic, you know, and she says funny stuff. Blue. Isabella is what you say working. Blue is when things get a little like sexual or graphic or, or, you know, that's what they say when you're. When it's less suitable for kids.

Yeah. Okay, well, you've been warned, so we're gonna get to that in a little bit. We love Karen Feehan, but first we have a lot of stuff to update you on. It's. It's a yap, but it's housekeeping. It's yowsekeeping. The first, first little bit of y keeping is again, a genuine thank you for last week. We did Casuals Live, Isabella and I at SiriusXM. We did a full week of radio from 12 to 1 on Mad Dog, which was channel 82.

Yep. Awesome of them. Everybody over there was so nice to us. Shout out to Adam Shine, shout out to our producers. Shout out to just in general, everybody that helped us work on stuff, but mostly you guys. I've. We have to. They said it, we said it on the podcast. That means it's real. I don't, I don't get paid, so I think maybe My raise would be a little difficult, but I'm sure we can figure it out. Um, it was really fun. Isabel, did you have fun?

I did. I had a lot of fun.

I had so many pictures in my mind of how it could go. And I was so worried that we would get the worst of what sports radio listeners have to offer, and that was unfair of me. I thought we got really great callers. Everybody was nice. And one of the things we got to make real headway on is something I've been looking to do with you for a while, Isabella, is get you an NFL team. I'd like to have that nailed down before we enter the football season.

[Isabella Brady]

And when does that start again?

[Katie Nolan]

I usually just say September. It's usually. I don't know if it's that first week or what, but it's that first week. Yeah. First week of September. So we had callers call in to pitch you on their NFL teams. I think we have a leader in the clubhouse. Do you agree?

[Isabella Brady]

There's a couple that are leading, so I would say probably Eagles. And then Brady made a face Brady doesn't like. Whatever. Okay. Chicago Bears, literally, based off of that.

[Brady]

Pitch, couple of great pigs for the Bears.

[Katie Nolan]

The Bears, I think, are the leader because the orange and blue that you've been looking for.

[Isabella Brady]

I know.

[Katie Nolan]

Which means you can have your sports themed outfits all like everything, but the jersey can stay the same. You don't have to change up anything because it'll all be in that same color scheme.

[Isabella Brady]

I know.

[Katie Nolan]

That's kind of nice.

[Isabella Brady]

That is really. But here's the thing. The biggest thing is that it's not the city that's closest to me.

[Katie Nolan]

Right. But it's also not that far.

[Isabella Brady]

I know. I'm just really. The thing is, with teams, I'm just obviously really wanted to be from where.

It'S better watching on the couch anyway than going, how much are you going to be going to a Philadelphia Eagles game?

I know, but it's about repping.

The Bears are a historic franchise. They have, like, a great history, but they also are, like, overdue to be good. They aren't. They haven't been very good in a while. This could be their time. You would have gotten it at the ground floor. Chicago's a cool city to have a sports connection to in general. Yeah, I. I don't know. I just feel like when he said bears, I was like, oh, this actually is kind of awesome.

Yeah.

And so I kind of love that for you. That's where I do some more research. And we should. Maybe we'll do that in an upcoming episode. We'll just like go through the Bears. I want to get Mina back in here before the football season. I might have missed her availability. She gets very busy very quickly. But maybe I'll see if she can come in. She can tell you some stuff about the Bears.

That late night show didn't mean anything. Also, it was not the most. It was. They were clearly rigging it. There's no chance that was all entirely Democratic. Not to blow the whistle on the. On the TRL process, but I don't think that was all. I know nothing's real. The more you. The older you get, the more you're like, well, this was all just a big psyop. Huh?

Okay. Do you think that they were literally manipulating the votes or do you think that there was. They were just good enough at propaganda to be able to sway the voters?

[Katie Nolan]

I don't think I'd like to say. I think I've. I've expressed as much skepticism as I'm comfortable getting into right now. The case is still ongoing.

[Chris]

I don't like the election is completely rigged.

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah.

[Chris]

I just fine with them influencing the way people were voting, but I. I don't know if. I don't think MTV was inside the machines.

[Katie Nolan]

Really didn't expect someone to take this much of an issue with it. But now, in hindsight, I should have. I should have thought this through. Of course, Brady would be like, well, hold on now you're invalidating an entire swath of my childhood. I thought NSync spent 12 weeks at number. I don't remember how many weeks it was.

[Chris]

It would have been way more than that.

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah, it was a lot like the.

Isabella. People used to stand outside of Times Square just to be able to maybe see the members of NSync stand at a glass window four, three or four floors up and, like, wave down at them and they would go nuts.

Sounds cool.

It was cool.

[Katie Nolan]

No. I was. I lived in Massachusetts and I knew that if I had been severely humbled. So I had no. I had no. In my mind, I didn't think that maybe if Justin Timberlake just saw me, he'd go, that's her. Bring her up. Bring that freaking 13 year old. Yeah, bring Karl Malone up, could you? I wanna. I wanna be tickled by that mustache. I got rid of it, okay? I learned what wax was. It's scary, okay, when you're a tiny Italian child and you're like, I was born with this. I'm supposed to do something about this. And then your mom goes, 1, 2, 3. And she rips a Sally Hansen wax strip off of your mustache for the first time and you sob. It's painful. It hurts. And why. Why would they give me this if I don't need it? So that's the first thing we need to talk about the radio show. Thank you, everybody, for calling in. I think Chris is cutting together a best of and we're gonna drop it on the feed at some point, probably next week, because I took too long to listen to it because I will say that's more days in a week. I've worked in a long, long time. Having to have a take every day for five days during the summer was crazy work. On Saturday, I slept till 1pM Eastern. Dan kept coming in and going, now's a good time to get up. And I was like, try again in a little bit. I am not ready. I was a total diva this weekend. I was like, I worked a full week, so I'm gonna need you to, like, go easy on me. But then eventually I did Myrtle.

[Chris]

Did Myrtle make it till one? Or was Dan on full? Myrtle?

[Katie Nolan]

No. Yeah, Dan got. Dan woke her up, took her for a walk. I think she had eaten most of her meals by the time I was awake. I just needed to sleep. I just needed a little bit of sleep. I was waking up early in the morning and I just needed a little bit of sleep. So that's issue number one. That's handled. Number two, the Talons, our softball team that we chose at the beginning of this AUSL season. Our champions.

[Brady]

Hell yeah.

[Katie Nolan]

We chose right. We chose well. We chose good. So we got the. The Talons, our champions. I watched there was like a rain delay issue, but game one, Tori Vidalis hit a home. Loved this stat. Second home run of the season. The first home run was on opening day. And the second home run was to tie them up in game one of a three game series of the championship to tie the game. It was like what a. An incredible time to be clutch. She may not hit a lot of home runs, but when she does, it matters. And so congratulations to the Talons. We're so excited. Are we riding with them next season? Is this our team now or are we going to pick a new. Okay, I'm just asking because the way they do things, the way they travel to different cities and they don't represent a city. I don't know if that changes the like approach to the fandom. If every year you pick a new one, like a fantasy team almost, or if we just stick with the claws, stick with the nails. Okay. You already got the tattoo.

Be Brad, wouldn't it. No, I haven't.

I believe really could. Couldn't tell you.

Wow, what a total. What a totally believable lie we all fell for. Isabella stopped listening because she knew.

It's like still a zero. So season five, it's the story of when Maggie. The story of when what's tattooed on me. Story of when Maggie was born and they go back in time and they don't think they're having any more kids. Homer gets fed up with his job, quits the power plant, goes to work at the bowling alley, and then they find out that Marge is pregnant with Maggie. So Homer needs his job back. They have to support a third child. Because this is back when. The time when one man working one salary at a nuclear power plant was clearly going to be able to support three children.

[Katie Nolan]

Controversial.

[Chris]

They go back. Homer goes back to work. He has to go and beg Mr. Burns for his job back. Mr. Burns gives him his job back, but says he. He forces Homer to hang a plaque in his office. It says, don't forget, you're here forever. Burns is like, I own you now.

[Karen Feehan]

You.

You're never getting out of this place. You will do whatever I say. Homer covers up the letters on that plaque with pictures of Maggie until it says, do it for her. And the ring light is drowning that out. But the letters just say, do it for her.

On the plaque. And that is tattooed on the inside of my right wrist.

That actually was pretty sweet. Now, which of your daughters is it about?

I was just thinking now when you said it, Brooklyn Cyclones. You know what I might do? I might do like a. Like a twirl. Like a cyclone.

As it turns out, it was from Scotty Scheffler himself, as he admitted on this week's episode of Pardon My Take Said, you're out there for, like, six hours, you're eating some different food. Some stuff is gonna happen. There's no chance. I don't believe him at all.

I just think it's funny to think it's him.

Yeah. And then just the plot point of, well, you'll get to it. But the fact that the revolution in golf that they're competing against. Against is having a ligament in your back cut so that you can twist around further when you swing. It was just like. It was just like a. Okay, we could just do live golf. Live golf is a threat to regular golf. We could have just made it about Saudi money, and it would have been a lot funnier. But I don't know. It's a. It's a summer romp, and who cares? But I've just heard only positive things. And I wanted to say, if you watched it and you went, huh, Then that's okay, too. It's okay.

I've heard some negative reviews, some really harsh ones.

I mean, I've heard really harsh ones, too, where you're like. Like, that's crazy. It wasn't gonna be right. The Greatest Movie Ever Seen. But it was just the plot did not do it for me. I wanted more.

Commentators suggested that the caddy was seen moving a ball near the edge of a bunker on the Sunday Turnberry Golf Course. Trump then gets out of a golf buggy, moving towards the ball, presumably to take a swing at the planted ball.

And we see it. You see it on the. On the clip.

He doesn't give a. Dude. He's like, cheating's cool. I'm.

And his caddy told him he found it, he just took off running. And next thing we know, he says, I got it, Mr. Trump. And then in response to that, Trump said, I don't cheat at golf, but Samuel L. Jackson cheats with his game. He has no choice.

He Just, like, fires back with, like, things he can't prove. Shocking.

I've never heard of him doing that.

Before, but I 100% believe Samuel L. Jackson. Like, like, he's like, yeah, we. He saw him. We all saw him hidden in a lake. And then he'd, like, sent his caddy. They found it.

Rick Riley, who's a formerly beloved writer, sports writer. Donald Trump's woman. A worst cheat ever. And he doesn't care who knows. Said he said. The author of 2019 book Commander and Cheat. The book focuses on the President and his conduct on the golf course. He says, I love golf, and he has set the game back 30 years. Just when it was becoming cool with Rory McElroy and Ricky Fowler. We get this fat bozo. I'm quoting. We get this fat bozo cheating his ass off. Riley told The Guardian in 2019. Alice Cooper in 2012 said that the worst celebrity golf cheat was. Was Donald Trump.

Remember when Mark Wahlberg did a movie about the Boston Marathon, but instead of honoring the actual people who did the heroic stuff, he made one character who did all of that, that was a fictional character, and then he cast himself in that role. That's basically what I've done here, Detective Sullivan. But. All right, let's. This first scene. I'll tell you what the three scenes are. You can tell me which one you think would be the best for us to get on tape.

So we can send this over. Doing this. The first scene is a fake imagination of the interrogation room of a cop interrogating Karen Reed, pre trial during the investigation part.

We'll start. We'll do the interrogation room, we'll do the car, and whichever one we like better will be the one that makes.

This is in the Canton Police Department interrogation room night. A harsh fluorescent light buzzes above the room. Is cold and sterile. A small table sits between two chairs. Karen Reed, early 40s, sits in one chair. Chair disheveled, visibly shaken but composed. Across from her, Detective Sean Sullivan, 50s, experienced, pragmatic eyes, sharply suspicion. Karen clasps her hands, a trembling coffee cup untouched in front of her. You said you dropped him off at 12:30, but his phone goes dark at 12:23. That's not nothing, Karen.

[Karen Feehan]

I did drop him off at 34 Fairview. That's what I said from the beginning. Why are you all acting like I didn't?

[Katie Nolan]

Because your tail light was shattered. Because he was found on the lawn with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

[Karen Feehan]

And you think I did it? You think I hit him and just drove away? Do you even hear how insane that sounds?

[Katie Nolan]

Then explain to me how he ends up dead in the snow, Karen. Face down while you're calling friends, asking did I hit him?

[Karen Feehan]

Because I didn't know what happened. I was panicking. I just found him there, lifeless. And no, in. In that house full of cops seems to have heard or seen a damn thing.

[Katie Nolan]

You're saying they're all covering something up?

[Karen Feehan]

I'm saying you're so focused on me, you're not asking what really happened inside that house, where he was going, who was there.

[Katie Nolan]

You've got motive. The drinking, the fight, the guilt, the voicemail.

[Karen Feehan]

I've got love. That's what I've got. I love John. And now he's dead. And I'm the only one under a microscope. You think I'm the easy one to pin this on? Because I'm not one of you? What? What if I didn't kill him? What if you're looking at the wrong person?

[Katie Nolan]

Then you better hope someone else starts talking. Because right now, the silence is deafening. He stands, leaves her alone in the harsh light. Karen stares ahead, jaw set, determined, afraid, but not broken. I thought that was pretty good.

[Karen Feehan]

I think it's. I thought that was pretty good for our first read.

[Katie Nolan]

For a first read. I thought that was really good. I think we've got it. I think we can put together a tape there. We just have to figure out who I'm supposed to be sending it to.

I think it's making its way finally. Because. Because there's What? There's that 60 Minutes or 20 20, and then there's another docu series, too. Like, there's a lot of footage surrounding a lot of stuff, so. And it's fascinating.

All the stuff the cops did. Like, all of a sudden, there's evidence here and this and that. I mean, my theory is that she hadn't fully physically cheated yet, but she was flirting with another dude who was at the party. And I think her guy, like, sniffed it, had a feeling. So he got in a confrontation with that guy. But they all were on that guy's side, so they piled on him, including the dog. Dog. And then they left him out in the snow to die. That's what I think.

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah. I saw. I think I heard Karen Reed. That's right. I think I heard a juror say, like, if a person. If a cop turned up dead on my front lawn, I know they wouldn't not get me in trouble. Like, there's no chance I wouldn't be getting investigated.

Right.

And it's like, it wasn't Karen Reed's lawn, it was a cop's lawn.
