Hello! It’s the podcast that thinks Freddy Krueger is cute, actually. Today, Katie and the Casualties celebrate the Talons winning the inaugural AUSL Championship and Luke Littler throwing a nine-darter en route to a World Matchplay Title. Then, comedian Kerryn Feehan joins the show to talk about dad coaches, frisky baseball fans, WNBA trading cards, photoshopped Luka Doncic photos, Nikola Jokic’s champagne-soaked horse, golf farts, Happy Gilmore 2, sweaty Diplo concerts, and putting together an audition tape for the Karen Read biopic.

You did he. They un. Suspended him and they let him play good.
Isabella Brady
Well, what was it? He just flipped his his bat after.
Katie Nolan
He was celebrating a home run.
Isabella Brady
Yeah, that's fine. No one got hurt.
Katie Nolan
The 12 year old played Thursday night for his New Jersey team hours after facing.
Isabella Brady
Oh, it's a New Jersey team.
Katie Nolan
Cute.
Isabella Brady
Where?
Katie Nolan
Haddonfield.
Isabella Brady
Oh, that sounds scary.
Katie Nolan
You don't know what.
Chris
Halloween took place.
Isabella Brady
That's what I was gonna say. That sounds like Halloween. It did, but in Illinois, I think. Right.
Katie Nolan
Why do you guys know so much about this?
Isabella Brady
Because I. I was really into Michael Myers. Not like into, like sexually. No, no, no. I just like, that was my first favorite shoulders scary movie franchise.
Chris
Very calm, confident walk, never in a rush. Very moisturized.
Katie Nolan
Right.
Isabella Brady
Hair's quaffed.
Katie Nolan
Right. What's not to love? Which one's Michael Myers? The one with the. With the goalie mask.
Brady
William Shatner mask.
Chris
Yeah, the white face.
Katie Nolan
Oh, oh, oh, oh. Who's the one with the goalie? Jason.
Isabella Brady
Jesus.
Katie Nolan
I don't watch scary movies. I am fully ignorant to any of this. And then Freddy Krueger is Nightmare on Elm Street.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Isabella Brady
With the.
Katie Nolan
Correct. That's what kids called me when I was younger just because they thought I was ugly.
Isabella Brady
That's really mean. Do you want to unpack that?
Katie Nolan
No. Because it didn't logically make any sense. It was like. Yeah, they just like, my face doesn't look like that. I just have a short haircut. It's actually you. It's you who's ugly.
Chris
So Freddie didn't even have hair.
Katie Nolan
That's right. So it was like completely useless. Also, other nickname. Karl Malone, because I had a mustache.
Chris
A lot of illegitimate children too.
Katie Nolan
I was gonna say a lot of stuff he did, I didn't do. So not sure why I'm getting lumped in with him. Freddy Krueger. Carl Malone. Look at me now. Oh, hi. Hi there. Welcome to Casuals, the sports podcast that loves sports. Doesn't care what you know. We're just happy that you're here. I'm Katie Nolan. I'm your host, joined today by my casualties are here. Isabella Brady, Chris, all on Zoom. I mean, Isabella. Hi. What? So, I'm sorry, what?
Isabella Brady
I don't know. I just couldn't. I couldn't control it. It just came out.
Karen Feehan
Okay.
Isabella Brady
That's just how I wanted to say hi.
Katie Nolan
I don't ever want you to suppress your inner monster. All I ask is just a little like, why? Why now? What was that?
Isabella Brady
You know what it is, guys, is that I don't talk at all this entire episode. And so I just needed to get some energy out.
Katie Nolan
It's not true. I asked you if you like Happy G. Gilmore. It's not true. You Talk a little.
Isabella Brady
I did, I did.
Katie Nolan
But not as much as you'd like.
Isabella Brady
But not like.
Katie Nolan
Right. Great. So that's Brady and. No, I'm just kidding. They're all here. Everybody's here. Hi. We have a lot to get to today. Joining us in just a little bit, my dear friend Karen Feehan. Very funny stand up comedian. Brady wants ME to warn you that it gets a little bluer than usual. I feel like it got pretty blue with Sam Morill and we didn't give that warning, but I here I am saying it anyway. We talk about things. Okay.
Isabella Brady
What does blue.
Katie Nolan
She's got.
Chris
She's got a way of saying things you wouldn't say in front of your kids while all of the individual words are still okay.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Chris
If that makes sense.
Katie Nolan
She's comic, you know, and she says funny stuff. Blue. Isabella is what you say working. Blue is when things get a little like sexual or graphic or, or, you know, that's what they say when you're. When it's less suitable for kids.
Isabella Brady
I've never heard of that.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Okay, well, you've been warned, so we're gonna get to that in a little bit. We love Karen Feehan, but first we have a lot of stuff to update you on. It's. It's a yap, but it's housekeeping. It's yowsekeeping. The first, first little bit of y keeping is again, a genuine thank you for last week. We did Casuals Live, Isabella and I at SiriusXM. We did a full week of radio from 12 to 1 on Mad Dog, which was channel 82.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Yep. Awesome of them. Everybody over there was so nice to us. Shout out to Adam Shine, shout out to our producers. Shout out to just in general, everybody that helped us work on stuff, but mostly you guys. I've. I'm not gonna say numbers, but I have heard that the, the link that we used to get you guys to join for a free trial to listen to our show is the most that any of those links have ever this year brought anybody to Sirius. So you guys showed up real big and it was cool and I appreciate it. Brady, I said that vaguely enough that that's allowed, right? Oh, yeah, yeah.
Chris
I was going to say. Less vague. I was going to say that you outperformed Stern's link. And I'm pretty sure we're all getting raises now.
Katie Nolan
We have to. They said it, we said it on the podcast. That means it's real. I don't, I don't get paid, so I think maybe My raise would be a little difficult, but I'm sure we can figure it out. Um, it was really fun. Isabel, did you have fun?
Isabella Brady
I did. I had a lot of fun.
Katie Nolan
I had so many pictures in my mind of how it could go. And I was so worried that we would get the worst of what sports radio listeners have to offer, and that was unfair of me. I thought we got really great callers. Everybody was nice. And one of the things we got to make real headway on is something I've been looking to do with you for a while, Isabella, is get you an NFL team. I'd like to have that nailed down before we enter the football season.
Isabella Brady
And when does that start again?
Katie Nolan
I usually just say September. It's usually. I don't know if it's that first week or what, but it's that first week. Yeah. First week of September. So we had callers call in to pitch you on their NFL teams. I think we have a leader in the clubhouse. Do you agree?
Isabella Brady
There's a couple that are leading, so I would say probably Eagles. And then Brady made a face Brady doesn't like. Whatever. Okay. Chicago Bears, literally, based off of that.
Brady
Pitch, couple of great pigs for the Bears.
Katie Nolan
The Bears, I think, are the leader because the orange and blue that you've been looking for.
Isabella Brady
I know.
Katie Nolan
Which means you can have your sports themed outfits all like everything, but the jersey can stay the same. You don't have to change up anything because it'll all be in that same color scheme.
Isabella Brady
I know.
Katie Nolan
That's kind of nice.
Isabella Brady
That is really. But here's the thing. The biggest thing is that it's not the city that's closest to me.
Katie Nolan
Right. But it's also not that far.
Isabella Brady
I know. I'm just really. The thing is, with teams, I'm just obviously really wanted to be from where.
Brady
It'S better watching on the couch anyway than going, how much are you going to be going to a Philadelphia Eagles game?
Isabella Brady
I know, but it's about repping.
Katie Nolan
You can rep, rep here. They. People will love if you rep the Bears here. They'll think that's cool. They'll want to talk to you.
Isabella Brady
Setting me up for.
Katie Nolan
The Bears are a historic franchise. They have, like, a great history, but they also are, like, overdue to be good. They aren't. They haven't been very good in a while. This could be their time. You would have gotten it at the ground floor. Chicago's a cool city to have a sports connection to in general. Yeah, I. I don't know. I just feel like when he said bears, I was like, oh, this actually is kind of awesome.
Isabella Brady
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
And so I kind of love that for you. That's where I do some more research. And we should. Maybe we'll do that in an upcoming episode. We'll just like go through the Bears. I want to get Mina back in here before the football season. I might have missed her availability. She gets very busy very quickly. But maybe I'll see if she can come in. She can tell you some stuff about the Bears.
Isabella Brady
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
And that way you can feel I.
Isabella Brady
Could just like hit her up and be like, hey, like, you want to come on the show? I need your help. Yeah. We're close. Like that.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Isabella Brady
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Oh, good.
Chris
Bears have never had a 4,000 yard passer in their history. Like, that fact still blows my mind.
Katie Nolan
Nothing to Isabella.
Isabella Brady
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Not even Jay Cutler. When was Jay Cutler.
Isabella Brady
No, listen, does your quarterback paint his fingernails?
Katie Nolan
Maybe that was when she got sold. She got so excited when she heard that.
Isabella Brady
Excited on that she was a quarterback.
Chris
It's like 1998. Carson Daly Peak. Cool. Oh, that also means nothing, does it?
Katie Nolan
I was gonna say. I don't think that's a good reference. Carson Daly hosted a late night show. Nobody watched.
Brady
Isabella was born in 1998.
Katie Nolan
Right. God.
Karen Feehan
I was.
Isabella Brady
I'm sorry.
Katie Nolan
What a great year.
Isabella Brady
Oh, I thought you were saying there was a football player named Carson Daly. I was like, oh, okay. We're talking about the late night host.
Katie Nolan
God. The host of trl. The host of Total Request Live.
Isabella Brady
Oh, sorry.
Chris
Most democratic program on tv.
Katie Nolan
That late night show didn't mean anything. Also, it was not the most. It was. They were clearly rigging it. There's no chance that was all entirely Democratic. Not to blow the whistle on the. On the TRL process, but I don't think that was all. I know nothing's real. The more you. The older you get, the more you're like, well, this was all just a big psyop. Huh?
Chris
Okay. Do you think that they were literally manipulating the votes or do you think that there was. They were just good enough at propaganda to be able to sway the voters?
Katie Nolan
I don't think I'd like to say. I think I've. I've expressed as much skepticism as I'm comfortable getting into right now. The case is still ongoing.
Chris
I don't like the election is completely rigged.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Chris
I just fine with them influencing the way people were voting, but I. I don't know if. I don't think MTV was inside the machines.
Katie Nolan
Really didn't expect someone to take this much of an issue with it. But now, in hindsight, I should have. I should have thought this through. Of course, Brady would be like, well, hold on now you're invalidating an entire swath of my childhood. I thought NSync spent 12 weeks at number. I don't remember how many weeks it was.
Chris
It would have been way more than that.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, it was a lot like the.
Chris
Entire no Strings Attached album.
Katie Nolan
Isabella. People used to stand outside of Times Square just to be able to maybe see the members of NSync stand at a glass window four, three or four floors up and, like, wave down at them and they would go nuts.
Isabella Brady
Sounds cool.
Katie Nolan
It was cool.
Isabella Brady
Did you do it?
Katie Nolan
No. I was. I lived in Massachusetts and I knew that if I had been severely humbled. So I had no. I had no. In my mind, I didn't think that maybe if Justin Timberlake just saw me, he'd go, that's her. Bring her up. Bring that freaking 13 year old. Yeah, bring Karl Malone up, could you? I wanna. I wanna be tickled by that mustache. I got rid of it, okay? I learned what wax was. It's scary, okay, when you're a tiny Italian child and you're like, I was born with this. I'm supposed to do something about this. And then your mom goes, 1, 2, 3. And she rips a Sally Hansen wax strip off of your mustache for the first time and you sob. It's painful. It hurts. And why. Why would they give me this if I don't need it? So that's the first thing we need to talk about the radio show. Thank you, everybody, for calling in. I think Chris is cutting together a best of and we're gonna drop it on the feed at some point, probably next week, because I took too long to listen to it because I will say that's more days in a week. I've worked in a long, long time. Having to have a take every day for five days during the summer was crazy work. On Saturday, I slept till 1pM Eastern. Dan kept coming in and going, now's a good time to get up. And I was like, try again in a little bit. I am not ready. I was a total diva this weekend. I was like, I worked a full week, so I'm gonna need you to, like, go easy on me. But then eventually I did Myrtle.
Chris
Did Myrtle make it till one? Or was Dan on full? Myrtle?
Katie Nolan
No. Yeah, Dan got. Dan woke her up, took her for a walk. I think she had eaten most of her meals by the time I was awake. I just needed to sleep. I just needed a little bit of sleep. I was waking up early in the morning and I just needed a little bit of sleep. So that's issue number one. That's handled. Number two, the Talons, our softball team that we chose at the beginning of this AUSL season. Our champions.
Brady
Hell yeah.
Katie Nolan
We chose right. We chose well. We chose good. So we got the. The Talons, our champions. I watched there was like a rain delay issue, but game one, Tori Vidalis hit a home. Loved this stat. Second home run of the season. The first home run was on opening day. And the second home run was to tie them up in game one of a three game series of the championship to tie the game. It was like what a. An incredible time to be clutch. She may not hit a lot of home runs, but when she does, it matters. And so congratulations to the Talons. We're so excited. Are we riding with them next season? Is this our team now or are we going to pick a new. Okay, I'm just asking because the way they do things, the way they travel to different cities and they don't represent a city. I don't know if that changes the like approach to the fandom. If every year you pick a new one, like a fantasy team almost, or if we just stick with the claws, stick with the nails. Okay. You already got the tattoo.
Chris
Be Brad, wouldn't it. No, I haven't.
Brady
I believe really could. Couldn't tell you.
Katie Nolan
Wow, what a total. What a totally believable lie we all fell for. Isabella stopped listening because she knew.
Isabella Brady
Oh, I have my fan. That's why. Oh, it's really hot in here, guys.
Brady
Asmr Brady doesn't have. Brady doesn't have any space on his body for another tattoo after all these Simpsons tattoos.
Chris
I have one.
Katie Nolan
You do?
Chris
I do.
Katie Nolan
What is it? Show me if it's on your butt, please.
Chris
No, it's not on my butt.
Katie Nolan
Use your words.
Isabella Brady
It's under your.
Chris
Trying to think how aware of the greatest hits of the Simpsons you are.
Katie Nolan
And you know this. You know that I'm not.
Chris
It's like still a zero. So season five, it's the story of when Maggie. The story of when what's tattooed on me. Story of when Maggie was born and they go back in time and they don't think they're having any more kids. Homer gets fed up with his job, quits the power plant, goes to work at the bowling alley, and then they find out that Marge is pregnant with Maggie. So Homer needs his job back. They have to support a third child. Because this is back when. The time when one man working one salary at a nuclear power plant was clearly going to be able to support three children.
Katie Nolan
Controversial.
Chris
They go back. Homer goes back to work. He has to go and beg Mr. Burns for his job back. Mr. Burns gives him his job back, but says he. He forces Homer to hang a plaque in his office. It says, don't forget, you're here forever. Burns is like, I own you now.
Karen Feehan
You.
Chris
You're never getting out of this place. You will do whatever I say. Homer covers up the letters on that plaque with pictures of Maggie until it says, do it for her. And the ring light is drowning that out. But the letters just say, do it for her.
Karen Feehan
Oh.
Chris
On the plaque. And that is tattooed on the inside of my right wrist.
Katie Nolan
That actually was pretty sweet. Now, which of your daughters is it about?
Chris
Whichever one I need leverage on in the moment.
Katie Nolan
Perfect. You just show the wrist and you go. Everything I do, I do it for you. Okay, so that's the second thing. That was our second thing. Third thing. This is a big deal. This is a big deal, and I don't. Isabel. Do you want me to say it, or do you want to say it?
Isabella Brady
You can say it.
Katie Nolan
Okay. So we've gotten in touch with the Brooklyn cyclones. And on August 17th, it's a Sunday day game, 2pm start, versus the Hub City Spartan Burgers. One word burgers, capitalized. Isabella's gonna throw out the first pitch. Yay.
Isabella Brady
I was just thinking now when you said it, Brooklyn Cyclones. You know what I might do? I might do like a. Like a twirl. Like a cyclone.
Karen Feehan
Whoa.
Isabella Brady
Before throwing the ball.
Katie Nolan
Artistically inspired. And I love that. I also love not an ounce of thought going into the last time you touched a baseball. And when was that?
Isabella Brady
I don't even know. I don't know. Have you ever Wiffle Balls? Yes, but I don't think I've ever.
Katie Nolan
Not a lot of crossover there on aerodynamics. Yeah.
Isabella Brady
Yeah, yeah. I'm gonna have to buy one.
Katie Nolan
No, we'll get you a ball. Don't you spend a pretty penny of yours. We will get you a ball.
Isabella Brady
Get a cheap one off, you know, from Target or something.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, prob. Probably.
Isabella Brady
I need to train, though. I need to buy a ball so I can.
Katie Nolan
Yes, we need to definitely practice with you. We need to have you throw. We'll throw at various lengths. We'll. We'll work this into content somehow. But we got the date locked in, so I wanted to announce it, especially because I don't know. People might want to come the first 1000 fans to this game. Not anything to do with us. It's just how that happens to be the person.
Brady
Isabella Bubblehead.
Katie Nolan
No, I wish, I wish.
Brady
Incredible.
Katie Nolan
First thousand fans get a free short sleeve Brooklyn Cyclones hoodie. So if you've been looking to be more inspired by Bill Belichick's style or you're a fan of general life choices and. Or Isabella. Yeah. I don't think they give you a girlfriend your granddaughter's age, but you do get a short sleeve hoodie on. That's August 17th. We have a verbal commitment. It says in here, which now I'm like, maybe I should have waited to announce it. But. August 17th, 2:00pm start the Brooklyn Cyclones up against those Hub City Spartan Burgers. And Hub City is a.
Chris
Is in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Katie Nolan
Ah, okay.
Isabella Brady
Oh, okay.
Katie Nolan
And they couldn't be that. They couldn't be the Spartanburg Spartan Burgers. I see. So they had to use probably a nickname for the city. That makes sense.
Chris
Now. Have we laid out how far the mound is from home plate?
Isabella Brady
Oh, I should know that.
Chris
I'm gonna take a guess at how long this throw will be.
Isabella Brady
Let's say, let's say 12ft, 60ft, 6 inches.
Katie Nolan
12Ft would be crazy, right? I don't not a numbers guy, but that'd be craz crazy.
Isabella Brady
I. I just want to imagine like a 26 foot men like laying down across. And that's where I was like, yeah, that's.
Katie Nolan
I'll stand there. Yeah, no, that's. That's dangerous. So that's 60, 60ft.
Isabella Brady
Okay.
Katie Nolan
If you go from the mound. Is she going from the mound?
Chris
I think that they, they put it up to you.
Katie Nolan
Oh man. We'll have to fig. Maybe end. Listen, Isabella, I'll just run cover on anybody giving you. If you choose not to, she's. You can't expect. I want you to enjoy the first pitch. I don't want there to be a level of challenge to it that lets. That gets you upset. But also don't let me put a ceiling on your potential.
Isabella Brady
No, if I'm gonna do a first pitch, I'm gonna do a first pitch.
Katie Nolan
I love that.
Brady
Yeah. If she's confident enough to do a twirl before she throws it, which is.
Katie Nolan
Again, just a verbal commitment. We've only gotten a verbal commitment to the twirl. I think we gotta get a baseball in our hand first before we start.
Isabella Brady
Saying she's just gonna put like your fingers, your two fingers on the red or no. Is that not right?
Katie Nolan
That's one way to do it.
Isabella Brady
Okay.
Brady
Depends what pitch you want to throw.
Katie Nolan
What do you want to throw? You want to throw a splitter. You want to throw a slider.
Isabella Brady
What's a meatball? I hear that change up.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, that's like a nice slow. I think that's what we should have you aim to throw is just a nice meatball. Something hittable right over the plate.
Isabella Brady
Okay.
Katie Nolan
You know, no one's gonna be hitting. It's just you.
Karen Feehan
So.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, I can stand in if you want, but don't hit me. What number counts?
Karen Feehan
Right?
Katie Nolan
Like this is a ball. So they start with a ball. Right. That's how it. They need me to throw a strike. That might be at the Bananas. They might do that. I could see the Savannah Bananas doing that, making the first pitch count. But not in. Not in real baseball.
Isabella Brady
They're gonna regret it. They're gonna see my pitch and be.
Katie Nolan
Like, damn, damn, we. I wish we could use that one. What a strike?
Isabella Brady
Exactly.
Katie Nolan
I wish we could start with that. So that's the most exciting thing I've seen.
Isabella Brady
Will you be there right next to me out loud?
Katie Nolan
No, but I was saying, I mean, I could maybe. I don't know if I should. If they're gonna. They'll probably have somebody catch it.
Isabella Brady
I just want you sitting next to the mound on the floor.
Katie Nolan
I'm gonna be wearing my.
Isabella Brady
Cheering me on.
Katie Nolan
I'm gonna be wearing my Isabella is my sports daughter shirt where I just get to be super proud. I'm gonna be taking pictures like Kris Jenner going like, you're doing amazing, sweetie. That's gonna be me. I'm so hyped up. I'm so. Now I want to sell that shirt. August 17th, 2pm on Coney, right? Coney Island's where they play. Coney Island. I think it's in. Not on, but. And then the last thing that we didn't want to bother Karen Feehan with because she won't care at all. Luke Litler won World Match Play. Isabella actually saw this one. She was very proud. Luke Litler has become the fifth player to complete darts triple crown by beating James Wade 1813 in a brilliant world Match Play final in Blackpool. That sounds like a fake place.
Isabella Brady
No, it's real. I've been there.
Katie Nolan
The eight. Really?
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
The 18 year old has. Why?
Isabella Brady
My brother has done like. My brother's a dancer. He's done a dance competition out there.
Katie Nolan
What? How is it taking this long for us to.
Isabella Brady
What kind of competitive dance Ballroom dancing.
Karen Feehan
What? Yeah.
Katie Nolan
What's his favorite step? Like, is he like a rumba? Does he like to do a song?
Isabella Brady
He does like, Latin dancing. So it's like five dances. So chacha, samba, rumba, apostle jive.
Katie Nolan
She just did those like the back of her and Brady, the last thing.
Chris
We'Re recording and we're like an hour 20.
Katie Nolan
I know, sorry. This is really important to me. Brady, what's paso short for? When she says paso, what's she abbreviating?
Chris
Vinnie Poscantino.
Katie Nolan
Close.
Isabella Brady
Very close. Pasadoble.
Katie Nolan
Damn, that's fascinating. This is all fascinating. Luke Litler, 18 years old, former guest of this show, friend of the program. Though I think if you asked him if he remembers the time he did casuals, he'd go, what? Phil Taylor, Michael Van Gerwin, and Gary Anderson are obviously the other three. Oh, wait, and sorry. Luke Humphries are the other four who have won the match play Premier League and world Championship. He is the fifth and I think also, didn't he do it in a9 dot? Wasn't it a9 data?
Brady
Well, that was in the semifinals. He had A9 data, which was actually not only did he throw A9 data in the semifinals, but the leg in which he threw it. His opponent had also thrown six perfect darts. So it's the only televised leg of darts where every thrower hit the maximum.
Karen Feehan
Whoa.
Brady
So it went 1801-801801-80141. And so there was no mistakes thrown by either dartsman in any throw, which has never been done before.
Katie Nolan
Just like this podcast. We've never thrown a mistake. It's just like, perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect. No mistakes.
Brady
Exactly.
Katie Nolan
So that's all the housekeeping Yap. That's a half hour of housekeeping in yap. And now we get. And now we get to our guest. And now we get to our guest, the lovely, the wonderful Karen Feehan. You may have seen her in season two of Tires. She was also in season one of Tires, but I think it was just right at the end. As Regan, she's a mass hole. She's, you know, a casual sports fan, but her dad used to be her coach, much like me. So we get into that a little bit. We talk about golf and Happy Gilmore and like Brady said, some adult stuff, but I really don't think it's that bad. All right, so let's hit a break and then we'll come back with Karen Feehan. For years everyone thought Verizon had the best network because they did. But now the best mobile network in the US is T Mobile. T Mobile's network has the most advanced 5G with more towers and their signal reaches further than ever. So you can text an insta talk and say, you won't believe where I am. T Mobile has the best mobile Network.
Katie Nolan
In the US based on analysis by Ooklev Speed Test Intelligence Data 1H 2025 CT Mobile.com Network Hey, I want to talk to you about a podcast called Comedy Bang Bang. In every episode, host Scott Aukerman interviews a famous guest like Andy Samberg, Sarah Silverman or Jon Hamm. And they're joined by a few ridiculous characters played by the best improvisers around. People like Paul F. Tompkins, Drew Tarver, Lisa Gilroy, who I'm obsessed with, Ben Schwartz and more. It's funny, it's silly. It's very easy to jump in. For first time listeners check out new episodes of Comedy Bang Bang every Monday and classic epis every Thursday. Wherever you listen to your podcasts, I don't want to downplay the guest that we have today. She. You may know her from scoring the game winning goal at the Hanover Jamboree. What year was that?
Karen Feehan
98.
Katie Nolan
No way.
Karen Feehan
Maybe even earlier.
Katie Nolan
Game winning goal?
Karen Feehan
I don't know how old I am.
Katie Nolan
You're also a pitcher In a shortstop?
Karen Feehan
Yes, for my softball team.
Katie Nolan
Two high demand positions.
Karen Feehan
Oh, the pitching position was the most stressful thing I've ever done in my life because my dad was my coach.
Katie Nolan
Same.
Karen Feehan
He was like, he weaseled his way onto the team as the pitching coach, which was not a position. Like, it was. We were 10, right. He's like, I'm the new pitching coach. Like, no, you're not.
Katie Nolan
We don't need one of those. We use a T. He showed up.
Karen Feehan
With, like, full umpire gear.
Katie Nolan
So funny.
Karen Feehan
We're like, where'd you get that?
Katie Nolan
I like that you have a sports dad. Did your relationship with him change because of him as a coach? I know my dad and I fought a lot more than we probably would have because he was my coach.
Karen Feehan
Yeah, he was the pitching. Like, when I. Because I was good. But it was so demanding, and it was, like, hard because you had to pitch it really straight and fast and hard. And, like, if you're a little girl and you're in the middle of a softball game and bitches just start, like, hitting bombs off you, it sucks. It's the worst feeling in the world. And, like, I remember crying and, like, being taken out of games, and it was just, like, such a bummer. And, like, my dad embarrassing now. Not the warmest guy.
Katie Nolan
No Bedside Manor. Yeah, that makes sense. Just coming out and going like, you're off the mound. Give me the ball. You're like, dad, you're not even a coach. You're not even really a coach. You're just my dad.
Karen Feehan
And I swear, part of, like, we would practice so much in my front lawn that I swear I would go into games with, like, a sore arm.
Katie Nolan
So funny. Did you do a full windmill?
Karen Feehan
Yeah, sick.
Katie Nolan
Same.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Did you do anything funny? Did you grunt or anything?
Karen Feehan
I would. My dad's, like, let it out.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, sick. When did you stop? This wasn't in high school.
Karen Feehan
No. This is elementary school. This is all pre Boston ballet. Once you, like, are in the Boston Ballet la, it's like, you're done. What?
Katie Nolan
When were you in the Boston.
Karen Feehan
Oh, just as a girl, like, as a child. Until, like, when I was, like, I guess, like, 10 to 15.
Katie Nolan
What? That's not a child. I mean, it is, technically.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. I mean, I guess in a little. In high school. That's when I fell off in high school, though.
Katie Nolan
Did you like the nut? What were you? The Nutcracker.
Karen Feehan
I was in the Nutcracker.
Katie Nolan
Of course.
Karen Feehan
I was an attendant one year. I was a cherub two years in a row.
Katie Nolan
You're always a cherub to me. That's wild.
Karen Feehan
The irony at, like, the Wang Theater.
Katie Nolan
Is that where you.
Karen Feehan
The Wang Center? Yeah, they used dropped me off again. I think this was maybe I was, like, 12 or something. And they would just drop you off in Boston at the backstage door. And, like, it's not like I had a cell phone. I'm, like, so old. Oh, yeah. It's not like I could, like, check in with them. So it was just like, okay, you belong to these adults now. And they would pay me a dollar an hour, and I would get a check after the season.
Katie Nolan
A dollar an hour? Oh, no.
Karen Feehan
I'm so sorry. A dollar a performance. Way less. A dollar a performance.
Katie Nolan
That. That's child labor.
Karen Feehan
100. And so you would see it, because I think there was different levels. Like, if you were in the. A Nutcracker cast, you were performing, like, Thanksgiving through maybe Christmas Eve or whatever.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Karen Feehan
And then it'd be like, bcd, and it's like, hey, we're still doing it on New Year's Eve. Right. And I would be one of those. And you would get a check, though, for, like, 16 bucks. Because you did 16 shows.
Katie Nolan
16 bucks.
Karen Feehan
My dad's like, we're framing it, kiddo.
Katie Nolan
Well, this was back when that could get you a car. You can put a down payment on a home with that. 16 bucks. Yeah. Anyway, you can catch this Sports Superstar. On August 1st and 2nd, you're in South Bend, Indiana.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
That's a sports city. On August 7th, you're in Lake Charles, Louisiana. On the 8th, Lafayette, Louisiana, at the Lafayette Comedy Festival. And then August 9th and 10th in Chicago at the Windy City Comedy Festival.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Those are your dates. I've never had to read. I've never read somebody else's dates before.
Karen Feehan
Cool.
Katie Nolan
I feel really like, was that good?
Karen Feehan
I think you nailed it.
Katie Nolan
Sick.
Karen Feehan
That's where I'm gonna be.
Katie Nolan
You can also find her in season two. Well. And in season one of Tires.
Karen Feehan
That's right.
Katie Nolan
As Regan.
Karen Feehan
Thank you.
Katie Nolan
Reagan or Reagan. It's Regan.
Karen Feehan
Well, that's what the fun of her name is.
Katie Nolan
Right.
Karen Feehan
It's very similar to my last name.
Katie Nolan
People are like, do whatever you want with it.
Karen Feehan
Feehan or Feehan.
Katie Nolan
I'm like, right. I don't know. How you feeling? I'm saying Feehan.
Karen Feehan
You like that?
Katie Nolan
Is that not right?
Karen Feehan
That's great.
Katie Nolan
That's how Dan does it.
Karen Feehan
It's accepted.
Katie Nolan
You'd rather Feehan?
Karen Feehan
No, I think feels like my. Maybe my family says, then that's probably.
Katie Nolan
Right, I would guess.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
So let's not default to Dan Soder. Who says it wrong.
Karen Feehan
Probably Feehan. There's something about. I like that too, though.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Karen Feehan
I want them both.
Katie Nolan
Then take them both. Who cares? Call me Nolan. That's fine. I'm fine with that.
Karen Feehan
Does anybody do that?
Katie Nolan
We have. No. We have this same debate about Jessica with a K comic. How do you say her last name?
Karen Feehan
Kirsten.
Katie Nolan
See now, But I've heard Kirsten as well.
Karen Feehan
Me too.
Katie Nolan
So then you're going like.
Karen Feehan
The second I said Kirsten, I.
Katie Nolan
Right.
Karen Feehan
I heard cursing in my head.
Katie Nolan
So it's. I don't know, but I think it's cursing. I think we did cursing rhymes with person. I think that's what we've done as our.
Karen Feehan
All right. Get it in your head.
Katie Nolan
But who knows? You're a Boston girl originally from what town?
Karen Feehan
Marshfield. Nash. Vegas. South Shore.
Katie Nolan
The South Shore.
Karen Feehan
Near, like, Duxbury, Plymouth, Kingston, Cohasset. Situate. But because I was thinking of all the soccer team we played because I went to a private school, but we would play the public school teams.
Katie Nolan
What?
Karen Feehan
Yeah. These were all way bigger than us, but some. Some of them came from broken homes. Very rough on the field.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, they were a lot more willing to go there. They had a lot less to lose.
Karen Feehan
That's when I scored that goal. I got knocked to the ground. I feel like I got like my first concussion.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. This defender chick. Just like both arms went like this and just like knocked me back on my head. But I had simultaneously somehow kicked. Kicked the ball with my left foot. My dad likes to remind me why. And it went in. I don't know. It's not my dominant foot. He's like, it was your left foot.
Katie Nolan
Does he have it? Was he recording it?
Karen Feehan
No.
Katie Nolan
That's crazy. We need to have that highlight.
Karen Feehan
Ugh.
Katie Nolan
We need to break down that footage.
Karen Feehan
Honestly, that. Something like that. If I could find footage of that sick. That would really do some dopamine hits for me.
Katie Nolan
We deserve that. Dan found a little cutout that my dad must have cut out of the newspaper and put in a memory box somewhere.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
And it must have, like. It was like a tiny little newspaper cutout that's on our fridge now. I went to get water and I was like, what is this? And he was like, I found it. It's like Katie Nolan combined for a no hitter with her. But it was like the under 13 teams, so.
Karen Feehan
You were so good. Your dad was so proud of you. Probably. No, because you weren't getting taken out of games crying.
Katie Nolan
Yes, I was. I was absolutely throwing a fit on the mound. Also, my dad's best friend had like a phenom daughter picture.
Karen Feehan
Oh, that's the worst. My dad loved my best friend.
Katie Nolan
Right. So I was constantly going like, okay, well, I know I'm no Kelly, but I still am pretty decent for a high school pitcher who's not gonna do this for the rest of her life.
Karen Feehan
It's so tough. My mom, my mom, my dad loved my friend Marie in soccer.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Karen Feehan
Because she was. He used to call her Bulldog. He would be like, she's so tough. Look at her. She's scored. She would always score goals. She was so good. And I'm like, I'm just like playing my position down. Like, I like. I'm not like, I don't like, try.
Katie Nolan
To like, score every time about goal scoring.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
I'm like, I'm like center half. I sort of control the pace of.
Karen Feehan
Play, orchestrating all the plays.
Katie Nolan
I'm making things move. Did you see my assist?
Karen Feehan
What the hell?
Katie Nolan
Assist are just as important. We make goals happen. If the ball wasn't there, it would never have gotten scored. But no, she's great too. I guess we'll start with a Boston angle. Are you. You still going to like socks games?
Karen Feehan
I mean, no, not. I would love to. I'm always. I always want to.
Katie Nolan
They're the most fun. Baseball during the summer is like the best.
Karen Feehan
The best.
Katie Nolan
The absolute best.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Currently the. The Red Sox concession workers. Oh, they've ended their three day strike.
Karen Feehan
Oh, good. I hope they're.
Katie Nolan
They were striking during the. The Dodgers series that we just had this past weekend. So there were no.
Karen Feehan
They hate la.
Katie Nolan
That's exactly it. I think they thought that Shohei Otani is a ticket seller. People will be coming to this game.
Karen Feehan
Okay.
Katie Nolan
And they wanted to make a statement that they weren't being paid enough.
Karen Feehan
Oh, I like it.
Katie Nolan
And so the company brought in scabs.
Karen Feehan
Did they really? That's so gross.
Katie Nolan
To sell the peanuts. More strikes could be coming. No deal between the two sides. Just an update on the important. That's Aramark is the food service company that they're striking against.
Karen Feehan
I mean, that's tough because it's not like anybody's like tipping those. I mean, some people are. I do, but. But I don't think everyone is.
Katie Nolan
No. And people, like, hold the high prices against them. And you're like, they don't set the prices. They're just here to hand you the popcorn.
Karen Feehan
Do we know what they're getting an hour?
Katie Nolan
I don't.
Karen Feehan
I should, but I don't wonder. And because. Yeah. And Then, I mean, even if you are getting tipped on like credit cards or whatever, they're not keeping all of that.
Katie Nolan
Right? I'm sure they're not percentage. It just says Fenway pays workers peanuts. And we're going to change that. I believe that you might hear Local 26 said in a social media post. Yeah, I bet they get nothing in the. And the concession prices are through the roof.
Karen Feehan
Right?
Katie Nolan
It's insane. You can't get a cheap anything anywhere.
Karen Feehan
That profit margin must be huge.
Katie Nolan
We're business women.
Karen Feehan
They just want a little peep.
Katie Nolan
That's right. They're just trying to get what they.
Karen Feehan
Deserve or do a required gratuity or something. I don't know.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Did you say. People get really mad when you bring that up. I don't know if it's because of my history in service work that I'm like, yeah, I would. I'll gladly do that.
Karen Feehan
I tip like a maniac. I was a waitress for 15 years. Bartender. Yeah, I'm just. I'll always tip.
Katie Nolan
I should have known that about you. I should have known that's what I was about.
Karen Feehan
You suffered together.
Katie Nolan
The more exciting baseball story happened, believe it or not, at Yankee Stadium. Yankees in the Phillies played. Did you happen to see this clip?
Karen Feehan
I heard rumors of something.
Katie Nolan
Of something maybe sexual happening. Oh, no.
Karen Feehan
Wait a minute.
Katie Nolan
Right.
Karen Feehan
No. Was it a breast grope?
Katie Nolan
It was not. It was not.
Karen Feehan
Oh, that was a Fenway clip I saw.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. I mean, that's just how you get in. That's like checking the ticket. They just go like. And you should go see a doctor. That's actually. Doesn't feel right. But you can come in, enjoy the game, show you enjoy the game.
Karen Feehan
Concession prices are high.
Katie Nolan
I'm gonna show you this clip because I just think, look, you are many things. You're a comic, you're an actress, you're an OnlyFans creator. And I feel like you could about.
Karen Feehan
To see some sex break down. I know what it is. I saw it.
Katie Nolan
You could break down this tape for me.
Karen Feehan
I love it.
Katie Nolan
I'll turn the sound down, but you just remember, there's really not a lot of sound to it. Just push play.
Karen Feehan
Just remember. How graphic am I allowed to be? Because this is wild. This. Because I peeped this yesterday.
Katie Nolan
Tell us what you're seeing.
Karen Feehan
Okay, so guy, Phillies jersey, Phillies hat on next to a girl. Tank top. She's not really supporting either.
Katie Nolan
I think it's a Yank. Somebody said it's a Yankee shirt.
Karen Feehan
Fascinating.
Katie Nolan
Very interesting.
Karen Feehan
You can't see the Front of it. He is fingering her as if he's a blind person and she's a joystick. He keeps switching gears subtly, like with his hand and stuff. She is gyrating. Loving it. Also, like, it seems to be assisting.
Katie Nolan
I was gonna say, is she doing him as well?
Karen Feehan
Oh, wait, I lost it. Let's watch it again. Start from the beginning. That's a great question, Katie. We've started it from the beginning. Let's take a look. I can't see her left arm.
Katie Nolan
Me neither. And at one point he does this.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Which I think is universal for this feels pretty good. I don't want to say anything.
Karen Feehan
Yeah, yeah. Ye.
Katie Nolan
But she then in that case is doing a terrible job of hiding that it's happening.
Karen Feehan
Oh, she's having a full orgasm in front of everyone.
Katie Nolan
People are sitting the row in front.
Karen Feehan
Of them, two rows behind. They're obviously filming it. People to her left. Yeah, it's crazy. I also saw a longer version of that where he licks his hand.
Katie Nolan
Yes, he does. Sorry, I wasn't gonna bring that part up. No, no, it's. Now that we've gone there, he takes his hand out and then licks it.
Karen Feehan
And then you're like, this is romantic as hell.
Katie Nolan
How do you think this was negotiated?
Karen Feehan
I mean, I just. I know those types of people.
Katie Nolan
It's just like they don't.
Karen Feehan
They just do. They don't think, they don't plan, they just do.
Katie Nolan
Him being a Phillies fan, that's the.
Karen Feehan
Only thing that I'm kind of like, when did it originate? Did they meet?
Katie Nolan
Meet at the. Is this a meet cute? We're actually looking at spelled M E A T a meet cute that we're looking. I mean, that's.
Karen Feehan
It's an Arby's meet cute.
Katie Nolan
I'm kind of like, listen, life is meant to be lived.
Karen Feehan
I agree.
Katie Nolan
You want to go. Baseball is a little like, a little tough.
Karen Feehan
You know, you might. Like a 10 year old might see something they shouldn't quite yet in their stage of development. That's the only thing I might be a little.
Katie Nolan
And they're up there. Their seats were up there, but they weren't up there and alone. They were pretty closely surrounded by people.
Karen Feehan
Which is a kink. Right. Like, that's definitely a big kink for people. The thing about that kink, that's a little tricky is that you are involving strangers without their consent.
Katie Nolan
Little tricky. It's a nice way of putting that.
Karen Feehan
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Katie Nolan
Where things get dicey is that your kink involves People who don't want to see that. Seeing that. So.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. And then your argument's like, well, you can leave. And it's like, well, paid a lot of tickets.
Katie Nolan
Paid a little money for these tickets. Went to the Kinks concessions, and I tipped.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
So I. I don't want to be seeing you finger your.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. And you. A few tips. Maybe it was good, but maybe crusty fingers giving these guys gross dollars. You're gross. You're gross.
Katie Nolan
Oh, yeah.
Karen Feehan
No, it's great. Good for them. I mean, I just also wonder about hygiene.
Katie Nolan
I know. Did he just wash his hands?
Karen Feehan
Yeah, right. What man has ever just washed his.
Katie Nolan
Hands at a baseball game, too? I don't want your, like, with the mustard and ketchup in the. In your fingernail inside of the rbi.
Karen Feehan
The hot dog sleeve.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. I don't need. It's too much. It just upse. The clip. Upsets me. It upsets me also, because I. This is me approaching 40. I'm just like. I've never been that horny at a baseball game. I've never been, like, right now or I'm gonna die. I need it now or I'm gonna scream. That's never. And I'm sorry. That's probably ruining a lot of mystique for a lot of people listening. There's never a time where I'm crossing.
Karen Feehan
My guys just shut their lap.
Katie Nolan
They're like, well, this. I thought she was there, ready to go, go juiced up. But no, there's never been a time where I'm like, I need it. I need it. Before this judge at bat, I need it.
Karen Feehan
Do you think she was on something? Perhaps an arousal drug of sorts, like. Like a Molly or. Sometimes ladies are known to take a blue chew. I've heard from now and then. I never. I haven't, but I. That's a. I've heard a rumor.
Katie Nolan
Shut up. It works the same.
Karen Feehan
I don't know.
Katie Nolan
Huh.
Karen Feehan
Maybe I dreamt it.
Katie Nolan
I heard everybody's on bluechew now. I don't know, because I'm not out here having sex with multiple people. It's just the one.
Karen Feehan
I'm trying to think. I mean, I just broke up with someone, so I'm not really back out there yet. I'm healing.
Katie Nolan
That's right. That's right. Don't bother her. But when she's ready, you can reach out.
Karen Feehan
Yeah, but when she's ready, I'm healing.
Katie Nolan
All right. So that girl got fingered. And it looks like to completion. Here's my other question. If you're public finger banging.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Is the etiquette to fake the orgasm?
Karen Feehan
Well, that's the question, right? Like, you gotta probably be. You're on a time crunch a little bit. Like, that's part of the kink as well. Like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I wonder if you fake it does that. I would. I would think people would fake it.
Katie Nolan
Because she's faking it. It looks like a little. Or, I mean, again, I don't know. Maybe she's like, maybe this is. Is absolutely doing it for her. Maybe the aspect of it that I find fascinating is what's getting her 80% of the way there.
Karen Feehan
For sure.
Katie Nolan
She's doing a lot of hip work for someone in public.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
You would think it'd be like, hide it. Let's never fake it. If you don't get there, it's probably because you get a little scared.
Karen Feehan
I relate more to that line of.
Katie Nolan
Thinking of, like, the. It's not you, it's me. Seven people are watching us.
Karen Feehan
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Katie Nolan
And we're not supposed to be doing this. So that's why I didn't. I wouldn't feel the need to go like, oh, throw my head back. Like, I get it. It's advertising for him, but you're fingering me in public. What if somebody sees us? Yeah, exactly. We do see you. We're filming you.
Karen Feehan
This is gonna be on Twitter.
Katie Nolan
And actually, I kind of appreciate that we don't seat. Nice. Thank you for doing the hand signal. It's really important that we get that out there. I appreciate that they're doing something we could film and watch without feeling like we were. We knew exactly what was happening there, but it wasn't truly a violation of their privacy in the sense that I didn't see anything I wasn't supposed to see. You know what I'm saying? I agree.
Karen Feehan
We didn't see faces. We didn't see genitals. We only saw a profile of his. And he could be any man.
Katie Nolan
That's exactly how a guy who gets a hand job at a ballpark wears his hat. Like, I've never seen anybody wear their hat like that except a guy who's getting.
Karen Feehan
I feel like stuff like that is acceptable in high school, but other than that, I don't know. Yeah, those were adults.
Katie Nolan
Maybe they. Maybe they're in high school. Again, we didn't see their faces.
Karen Feehan
I'm like, if you're gonna do, like, a public sex thing, like, maybe, like, fly to somewhere in Europe and like, yeah, Yankee Stadium.
Katie Nolan
You've Always wanted to have sex at a cemetery. It just doesn't feel like a thing for me. It doesn't really get me my bits juiced, as the kids would say. All right, next story. Let's talk wnba.
Karen Feehan
Okay.
Katie Nolan
One story that came out last week.
Karen Feehan
They keep asking me.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. Who? The WNBA to do what? What? Play point guard?
Katie Nolan
Oh, of course.
Karen Feehan
Any team anytime.
Katie Nolan
Of course.
Karen Feehan
Any team anytime.
Katie Nolan
Any team anytime. She has no loyalty. No loyalty at all. Maybe the Valkyrie.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Valkyries. I don't know why I keep wanting to make them single, but Golden State.
Karen Feehan
Okay. The Golden State Valkyries. I'll Velcro myself to the floor.
Katie Nolan
And what would that do?
Karen Feehan
Just show them how dedicated I am.
Katie Nolan
Perfect. It does sound cute when you say it. Say it again. The Golden State.
Karen Feehan
The Golden State Valkyries.
Katie Nolan
Okay, that time wasn't cute. Do it again.
Karen Feehan
The Golden State Valkyries. Yeah.
Katie Nolan
I love that.
Karen Feehan
He needed the uptick.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, I think so. Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has been fined for a Tik Tok post criticizing the league's referees. The original Tik Tok featured Cunningham lip syncing to song lyrics saying, oh, it's clearly from Sabrina Carpenter. Stupid. Or is it slow? Or maybe useless. And the words on the screen said at some refs, basically meaning that they're man children and stupid. She posted that TikTok on July 18th. It's been viewed over 1 million times. And she got fined. You know, normally we hear of athletes getting fined for stuff like this, and they're like 100,000 bucks. Because you disparaged the. She got fined $500, which is, like, crazy low. Yeah, it's crazy low. And then you also remember that because they get paid so. So little.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
That it's like. Yeah, they couldn't have. They couldn't find you more.
Karen Feehan
Right.
Katie Nolan
That'd be an uproar.
Karen Feehan
That would have been a revolt. Even more. Especially after the T shirts.
Katie Nolan
Right? See, Karen pays attention. She knows about the T shirts.
Karen Feehan
I know about Sophie Cunningham.
Katie Nolan
That's right.
Karen Feehan
She's a bad bitch.
Katie Nolan
She's a bad bitch.
Karen Feehan
She's loyal. She went to bat for Caitlin Clark. I like her. I think it's creepy that the league is watching their TikToks.
Katie Nolan
Ooh, good point, Mike.
Karen Feehan
Like, why can't. I mean, they must have probably. They probably signed something, right? That's like the image of the league and this and that Gooby Gaba or whatever. So that's probably where they're coming from. But there's got to be some allowance for artistic expression.
Katie Nolan
It's like, why can't I be myself?
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Can it be me on this platform also?
Karen Feehan
It's giving like dictator. We can't criticize the leaders.
Katie Nolan
The rules that way, though.
Karen Feehan
Are they the. The rule or the enforcers of the rules or whatever?
Katie Nolan
Exactly right. They are the enforcers. And you're not allowed to say anything bad about them.
Karen Feehan
No, no, I do. I can't stop me.
Katie Nolan
I saw a video the other day of. I don't know if you've seen this, but I don't remember which team it is. Brady. I think it's the Portland Trailblazers that do this. They've come up with this system for if you're blind and you want to watch a basketball game, they give you this handheld thing and you can touch it and monitor what's happening in the game. It's very cool. It's like, for blind fans.
Karen Feehan
Feel vibrations or where the vibrations and.
Katie Nolan
Like where the ball is going. Yeah, Fascinating. But I saw, because I liked that I keep getting tiktoks from, like, this sort of content. And I saw one the other day that started with the kid that I originally saw doing it that said, I'm blind. Let's watch an NBA game together. And my first thought. And I think this would be. I don't know if this would be okay, but my first thought was to use that sound on a video of a ref.
Karen Feehan
I like it. That's great, Katie. Say it. You're not gonna get fined. You don't play in the wnba.
Katie Nolan
I'm blind. Let's watch an NBA game today together.
Karen Feehan
But why are the reps so bad? Are they mostly male or female?
Katie Nolan
In the wnba, I would still guess mostly male. But that's a pure guess.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
And I would love for somebody who knows more to correct me, but I just assume. I always just assume. It's mostly men.
Karen Feehan
Are they missing calls? Are they, like, looking biased? Are they.
Chris
I think it's 45% of the refs or women. So about 55 close.
Karen Feehan
And what are the numbers in the male lead?
Katie Nolan
Gotta be One female ref, two female refs. Maybe like 91 or two female refs.
Karen Feehan
Interesting. Cool.
Katie Nolan
If we're lucky. And I bet they're working on getting that out because, you know, we're not doing that anymore. We're not allowed to give jobs to anybody who's a woman or black anymore.
Karen Feehan
Oh.
Katie Nolan
Is what I heard.
Karen Feehan
Well, what the fuck am I gonna do?
Katie Nolan
I don't know. Also interesting on WNBA and money. An autographed Caitlin Clark logo. Woman rookie card sold for $660,000 at auction on Thursday night. Which doubles, nearly doubles the record paid for a woman's card. The funny part to me is that her contract with the fever is a four year deal worth a total of $338,056.
Karen Feehan
A memorabilia of her is selling for more than she's making.
Katie Nolan
Just one card autographed by her.
Karen Feehan
But she doesn't get that money.
Katie Nolan
Right. So don't. I feel like, does it solve the problems if we. I guess every card wouldn't sell this way, but it's like, she should get that money. When the people are making arguments that they don't deserve to be paid more. You're like, how?
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
But a picture of her with her signature on it just sold for more than she's gonna make across four years of playing.
Karen Feehan
I think the merch too, is about to, like, blow up even more. But because also, Sophie Cunningham's jersey, she sold out or whatever the next day after she like, pushed that girl, I think. Really? Yeah. I feel like her merch went up. And I was gonna say something else, but I forgot. But something about, oh, they also all walk into every game, like, drenched in like, Prada and like Givenchy and like all this stuff. Like, there's money to be made, you know, there's money floating about.
Katie Nolan
I know, but it's just funny that how easy it is to get the online public to go. They don't deserve more money. They don't deserve more money. Nobody's watching.
Karen Feehan
I know.
Katie Nolan
And you're like, that's not true. Why would they have just signed $2.2 billion media deal if nobody's watching?
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
And then the league is doing what leagues always do, where they put out their finances and go, we're not making any money.
Karen Feehan
We don't have any money. We don't need it.
Katie Nolan
They're eating it right up. People online are like, the league's not making any money. And you're like, no, the league knows that. You think that the league is playing you like a fiddle.
Karen Feehan
You fool.
Katie Nolan
You fools. It's like you've never interacted with professional sports before. Like, this happens, happens every time. But they're girls, so we can't pay them.
Karen Feehan
I know. Like, I feel like guys are always like, like, you know, yeah, am I gonna watch women or am I gonna watch these, like, huge men and beat each other up? You can't even dunk whatever they can, they have.
Katie Nolan
I just don't do it as much. The game's different. Deal with it.
Karen Feehan
It's different. Grow up, grow up, grow up. I'm so bad at basketball. I want to be good at it. And I'm so bad. Good.
Katie Nolan
Same in my head.
Karen Feehan
I'm good.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Karen Feehan
Like, I think I have the mind muscle connection to like do it. And then it just, everything goes wrong the second I release the ball.
Katie Nolan
Right. Like I'm good at papa shot.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
But as soon as that net is higher and further away. Useless.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
I can't figure out what I'm supposed. How I'm supposed to get enough. People are always like, you gotta jump. I'm like, well, my brain, my body doesn't want to do that.
Karen Feehan
The mechanics of a layup.
Katie Nolan
Not for me.
Karen Feehan
Far beyond for me. Look, my physical were meant to.
Katie Nolan
To slingshot a ball at the hip.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
We were, we did a lot of our wrist work was like this like.
Karen Feehan
Just so, like deep in concentration. My dad like holding the glove. Oh, I ptsd.
Katie Nolan
I still have on the side of my thigh, like broken blood vessels from where I used to smack my leg with my glove.
Karen Feehan
Oh my God.
Katie Nolan
It's not cute, but it's what we did for the sport.
Karen Feehan
Yep.
Katie Nolan
That's the sacrifice we made.
Karen Feehan
I used to go into ballet class with shin guard marks on my.
Katie Nolan
Yes, God, you are my spiritual sister.
Karen Feehan
Truly.
Katie Nolan
Truly. I would go in with like my softball shorts and my rolled up tights. Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic. You heard about this last season, even if you're not following basketball, he was the star of the Dallas Mavericks. They were building the entire team around him. He was an international player that everybody loved. And then they just overnight, without asking anybody, just traded him to the Lakers and people were like, what the fuck? People found out in the club. Club was crazy. So now he's the Lakers star. Laker star Luka Doncic is winning his breakup with the mavericks. He is 26 years old and he used the off season to get into considerable. Considerably better shape. That was kind of what the Mavs later said was the reason when they were trying to scramble for.
Karen Feehan
Oh, he wasn't.
Katie Nolan
He was getting fat. I think they didn't like his diet or his body. He wasn't taking care of himself.
Karen Feehan
Was he still like making shot? Was he so good at press?
Katie Nolan
Still nasty. So it didn't.
Karen Feehan
That's so weird. That's again, like, that's creepy. Stop looking at his body.
Katie Nolan
That's right. Exactly. According to Men's Health, Doncic contacted his manager one day after the Lakers were eliminated and he informed her that he wanted to Start his training program immediately. Every summer I tried my best to work on different things. He told Men's Health. Obviously I'm very competitive. This summer was just a little bit different. You know, it kind of motivated me to be even better. He drew inspiration from Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. That's like the hacky basketball.
Karen Feehan
I do it every morning.
Katie Nolan
Who said he sacrificed a lot when referring to their off season training. And he was what this story fails to mention. I think he was on the COVID right. Of Men's Health.
Karen Feehan
Oh, after the bounce back. Yes, after he gets Shreddo City.
Katie Nolan
And so we. I'll show you the picture. But Brady, thank you. When I said that, when we said he was on the COVID of Men's Health, Brady immediately referenced that Men's Health Photoshop and you had a specific reference, Brady. So I do want you to just air out the grievance that you've clearly been holding on to for a while.
Chris
So there's a million words have been written online about women's magazines and magazines in general. They'll Photoshop images unrealistically of women. But Men's Health is Men's Health. And men's fitness magazines for years and years have just been doing it time after time after time again of throwing random. Some celebrity who's in a movie or in sports throwing them on the COVID and giving Andy Roddick 25 inch pythons on his arms. Like this is not realistic. Like this is. It goes both ways. And that Andy Roddick picture is ridiculous because he's got the T shirt photoshopped in at his waist. His arms are bulked up bigger than his head. It goes on over and over. I have such a problem with Men's health and Fitness because you have to walk through that same stuff that we rail against magazines for doing with supermodels. But like it's, it's against it.
Katie Nolan
But they're not stopping doing it. Like they still do do it.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. I mean it seems bizarre.
Katie Nolan
Picture is crazy wild. It's not a person's body. It's not.
Karen Feehan
That's a neck. And the rest of him, I mean.
Chris
He'S got giant Andy Rodick's head on Jack Reacher. Like that's not real.
Karen Feehan
Well, the thing like why is like mentality Health, like we don't have super fit guys that they can put on the COVID Why would they ever need to Photoshop anyone?
Katie Nolan
Also, are they trying to tell me that that's Hugh Jackman? I don't think.
Karen Feehan
No, no.
Katie Nolan
Right.
Karen Feehan
He looks animated. This looks like, you would, like, study this in a science book of what, like, anatomy, the male anatomy could look like.
Katie Nolan
Right.
Chris
A whole different story of men's body image. Because that is like. Yeah, of course, at 58 years old, I'm in the best shape. Shape of my life. And I have ripped ads and.
Katie Nolan
No. No medicine had anything to do with this.
Karen Feehan
Oh, they're all on.
Chris
You know, I eat seven baked potatoes a day.
Karen Feehan
Right.
Katie Nolan
That's always been the thing that's like, with women. They're like, oh, I use like a beef tallow.
Karen Feehan
Right.
Katie Nolan
And that's why my face looks like this. Not because I'm Jennifer Aniston and I definitely can get stuff.
Karen Feehan
I know. Not that I've slowly been having this skin on my face surgically peeled back year after year. It's my special age. Spf.
Katie Nolan
Yes. It's definitely because I'm using a lotion that you could buy at cvs.
Karen Feehan
Yeah, it's called l'.
Katie Nolan
Oreal. So you're. That's what you're alleging, Brady, is that they have photoshopped.
Chris
I think there's a long history of unreported photo shopping.
Katie Nolan
Yes.
Chris
Men on men's health magazines. And Luca, I mean, if he lost five pounds, maybe. Sure. We're bumping that up to 20.
Katie Nolan
Sure, that's fine. And I'm like, actually, usually I hate pushing a narrative. I'd be okay with them pushing this narrative that, like, you lost out. Dallas. Look how hot he is now.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. I mean, you kicked him to the.
Katie Nolan
Curb and we made him bench press it.
Karen Feehan
I love a redemption story. I love a comeback.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Also in basketball, kind of. You know Nikola Jokic, he's the big star Serbian from the Denver Nuggets.
Karen Feehan
Yeah, I think so.
Katie Nolan
Big white dude, visibly emotional after his horse won a race in Subotica, Serbia.
Karen Feehan
I just had like a tru flashback. So, like, how's the horse?
Katie Nolan
Okay.
Karen Feehan
Please let the horse be okay.
Katie Nolan
Once his horse crossed the finish line, cameras found Yic in tears on the side before he hopped over a gate to meet his horse. And the driver, he then helped. Helped lift his driver. Cuz these are.
Karen Feehan
What kind of. What do you mean, driver?
Katie Nolan
I think it's a horse that has like a. It pulls a.
Karen Feehan
A buggy.
Katie Nolan
Like a. A little. They're called. What the. Are they called little sled back there? Kind of. Yeah. It's like a harness racing. Is that what it's called? And they have to. And they're behind the.
Karen Feehan
But they're called drivers, not jockeys.
Katie Nolan
Yep. And then yes.
Chris
Harness racing is the word.
Karen Feehan
Cool.
Katie Nolan
Jokic then helped lift his driver and sprayed and dumped champagne on the group, horse included, before he poured champagne on himself.
Karen Feehan
Wow.
Katie Nolan
Great.
Karen Feehan
That's exciting. Maybe he made a lot of money in that race.
Katie Nolan
Maybe. I truly think this is just his passion. If he could make as much money as he does playing basketball, doing this, he would just do this. He truly loves this.
Karen Feehan
That's nice.
Katie Nolan
I think it's cute.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
A relationship with an animal like that.
Karen Feehan
I like horses. I think they're majestic.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. And they love champagne, famously.
Karen Feehan
They always want champagne, Right? Carrots, champagne, sugar cubes. That's what they want.
Katie Nolan
That's what they want.
Karen Feehan
Of course.
Katie Nolan
Give them what they want. Golf is happening. You big. Do you golf?
Karen Feehan
I watched that show. What is it? Something. It's on Netflix.
Katie Nolan
I think you're meaning Billy Madison. And it's a movie. No, it's like a documentary. Gilmore.
Karen Feehan
No, no. They follow them around.
Chris
Full swing.
Karen Feehan
Full swing. Yeah. So that's like, my. What I've been watching lately. But, like, my whole family plays golf. My grandfather, my dad, my brother. Lots of golfers.
Katie Nolan
Only men in your family.
Karen Feehan
I'm terrible.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, I'm distinct, too.
Karen Feehan
My mom, like, my grandfather tried to make my mom play. She's like, I'm terrible. My grandfather was good. He got like, a hole in one at one tournament on Cape Cod once.
Katie Nolan
Big congrats.
Karen Feehan
Trophy.
Katie Nolan
Huge.
Karen Feehan
Always pointed out every guy. Guest who came over. I got a hole in one once.
Katie Nolan
I would.
Karen Feehan
But yeah, following it. I love clip. Like, one of my, like, favorite clips ever. Have you seen the one where there's an alligator on the course and one guy walks by and he's super scared?
Katie Nolan
Oh, yeah.
Karen Feehan
And then another guy walks by with his hand in his pocket and just taps the alligator's tail. I'm like, I could come to this.
Katie Nolan
One guy.
Karen Feehan
Yeah, One guy was just such a little bit. He, like, jump like, oh, geez. Oh, my God.
Katie Nolan
That'd be me, by the way, in real life, reenactment of that clip.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. We're girls.
Katie Nolan
Of course.
Karen Feehan
That'd be us.
Katie Nolan
And then somebody walks by and goes, get in there.
Karen Feehan
Get back in there.
Katie Nolan
Did it work out? Listen.
Karen Feehan
Oh, all right. My bad was like, all right, Daddy. What? You gonna kiss me on the forehead?
Katie Nolan
Did you. I guess the story they want me to say. I don't think this is true. During the second round of the British Open, Scotty Scheffler took his shot. And while the ball was in midair, a giant fart ripped through the silence. All the world to hear. As it turns out, it was from Scotty Scheffler himself, as he admitted on this week's episode of Pardon My Take Said, you're out there for, like, six hours, you're eating some different food. Some stuff is gonna happen. There's no chance. I don't believe him at all.
Karen Feehan
I do.
Katie Nolan
I just think it's funny to think it's him.
Karen Feehan
Men are disgusting, dude. And sometimes if you. They're in that, like, boys, dudes mentality. They just let. They're letting them rip all the time. The fact that it was audible, though, like, is there footage of it?
Katie Nolan
Like, yes. Do you want it?
Karen Feehan
That. Of course. My spank bank.
Katie Nolan
Oh, farts do it for you.
Karen Feehan
Overflowing. So you're saying he's. See the reason why. I think it's real. Like, what's the biggest probiotic exercise? Right. Sure. So when you're moving, you're fart.
Katie Nolan
I think it's crazy that he farted. I think it's crazy that the fart that comically got picked up on the broadcast came from the guy who hit the shot. That. To me, I feel like it was a fan. And he.
Karen Feehan
No, maybe it wasn't. I'd love to hear other theories. I'd love to.
Katie Nolan
He says it's him. It's. Maybe it's him.
Karen Feehan
He claimed it. But for him to. Not even. I wish we. Like, not even a smirk. Like, oopsie.
Katie Nolan
Did you hear that?
Karen Feehan
He's just like, oh, man. Maybe if I held it in, the ball would have gone in.
Katie Nolan
Sometimes I. You'll be on, like, game. Video game chat. I play with mostly men, unfortunately. And sometimes you'll just hear in the background, like, yeah. And then one person will go, like, was that a fart you thought we wouldn't hear? The whole chat just cracks up. It's just like, oh, you thought you could sneak that out, but your mic picked it up. Yeah, that's a real shame. So, yeah, maybe that's what happened here.
Karen Feehan
Rolled the dice on that one.
Katie Nolan
Scotty Scheffler was also in the new Happy Gilmore, too.
Karen Feehan
It seems like he put a lot of golfers in it.
Katie Nolan
Did you watch it?
Karen Feehan
I'm gonna. I'm definitely going to.
Katie Nolan
And you've seen the first one?
Karen Feehan
Yes, of course. I love the first.
Katie Nolan
Same, same, same. This is. I feel like I. I feel bad about my take because everybody here seems to have liked it. Isabella, you watched it?
Isabella Brady
Yeah, I watched it. I liked it.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Isabella Brady
Pretty good.
Katie Nolan
And. And Brady liked it. And Chris said he liked it. Those are the. All the producers here.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
I.
Chris
You don't have to agree with us.
Katie Nolan
I know.
Chris
Okay.
Katie Nolan
I didn't hate it. I. I know everyone's like, oh, you expect too much of it. And I'm like, no, I just wanted a movie that made Happy Gilmore and esque jokes.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Not that reminded me of the jokes Happy Gilmore made. Showed me clips of them from the first movie. In the second movie, that was like a. I didn't like that at all.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
And then just didn't really add anything to the. There were just parts of it that I was like, what are we doing?
Karen Feehan
Yeah. I put it on, and the first thing I saw was he. For whatever.
Katie Nolan
We'll just. Spoiler alert.
Isabella Brady
That.
Katie Nolan
We'll just mark that with a spoiler alert. Yeah. So, like. But it's not absurd enough that you go like, tee hee hee. It's more like, wow, how's this gonna affect the kids? How's this affect his relationship with golf?
Karen Feehan
I. I admit I was tired. Maybe I picked the wrong time slot for my life to start it because I did fall asleep relatively quick.
Katie Nolan
That's not your fault. It's her fault.
Karen Feehan
But I wasn't like, yeah, you would think something like that was gonna.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. And then just the plot point of, well, you'll get to it. But the fact that the revolution in golf that they're competing against. Against is having a ligament in your back cut so that you can twist around further when you swing. It was just like. It was just like a. Okay, we could just do live golf. Live golf is a threat to regular golf. We could have just made it about Saudi money, and it would have been a lot funnier. But I don't know. It's a. It's a summer romp, and who cares? But I've just heard only positive things. And I wanted to say, if you watched it and you went, huh, Then that's okay, too. It's okay.
Karen Feehan
I've heard some negative reviews, some really harsh ones.
Katie Nolan
I mean, I've heard really harsh ones, too, where you're like. Like, that's crazy. It wasn't gonna be right. The Greatest Movie Ever Seen. But it was just the plot did not do it for me. I wanted more.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
I wanted more from it. A bad bunny. So funny.
Karen Feehan
He's so funny.
Katie Nolan
So funny.
Karen Feehan
So charming.
Katie Nolan
Yes. And, like, Marcelo has a part in it, too, also. Very funny. Very charming.
Karen Feehan
Very. Charlo is too charming for his own good.
Katie Nolan
I know, but it was like, those were the highlights for Me. They were like little vignettes of it that I liked.
Karen Feehan
Right.
Katie Nolan
But as a movie, I was like, this isn't. I don't know.
Karen Feehan
It's tough.
Katie Nolan
I also didn't like many Saints of Newark, so maybe I just don't like movies based off of old ip. Maybe that's my whole thing.
Karen Feehan
Oh, I haven't seen that.
Katie Nolan
But speaking of golf, we caught Trump.
Karen Feehan
On camera cheating, picking his nose and putting it under the balls with sticks.
Katie Nolan
Footage from a game this weekend appeared to show one of Trump's caddies cheating on his behalf.
Karen Feehan
Such a loser.
Katie Nolan
Commentators suggested that the caddy was seen moving a ball near the edge of a bunker on the Sunday Turnberry Golf Course. Trump then gets out of a golf buggy, moving towards the ball, presumably to take a swing at the planted ball.
Karen Feehan
That's, like, so obvious.
Katie Nolan
And we see it. You see it on the. On the clip.
Karen Feehan
He doesn't give a. Dude. He's like, cheating's cool. I'm.
Katie Nolan
I never did that.
Karen Feehan
I can't walk that far.
Katie Nolan
I never did that. Clinton did that. Actually, Clinton did that, not me.
Karen Feehan
Oh, yeah, yeah. Wasn't me. That's.
Katie Nolan
So that footage doesn't exist of me, but. Or exist at all. But if it does, it has Bill Clinton on it. Yeah, that's what he said, I think.
Karen Feehan
Imagine, like, telling your caddy, though. It's like, all right, just, like, put the ball.
Katie Nolan
Okay, so I'm president.
Karen Feehan
I'll find your whole family.
Katie Nolan
Take the ball, but be, like, slick about it.
Karen Feehan
Try to be cool.
Katie Nolan
Try to be cool, because people are watching everything I do. They're haters. The haters and the losers.
Karen Feehan
They don't believe in me.
Katie Nolan
And so if you could just take the ball, just like, oh, just give.
Karen Feehan
It a little oop, get me closer to the hole. Little. Oh, you want to get out of here or not? You know, sooner we finish this round, the sooner we can be drinking martinis, right?
Katie Nolan
I probably will still call ice on your family, but maybe I won't if you help me.
Karen Feehan
You got to think about the caddy. Who's the ca.
Katie Nolan
Multiple celebrities have accused President Trump of cheating on the Golf Course 2016. Samuel L. Jackson said, we clearly saw him hit a ball into a lake at Trump National Golf Course. And his caddy told him he found it, he just took off running. And next thing we know, he says, I got it, Mr. Trump. And then in response to that, Trump said, I don't cheat at golf, but Samuel L. Jackson cheats with his game. He has no choice.
Karen Feehan
He Just, like, fires back with, like, things he can't prove. Shocking.
Katie Nolan
I've never heard of him doing that.
Karen Feehan
Before, but I 100% believe Samuel L. Jackson. Like, like, he's like, yeah, we. He saw him. We all saw him hidden in a lake. And then he'd, like, sent his caddy. They found it.
Katie Nolan
Rick Riley, who's a formerly beloved writer, sports writer. Donald Trump's woman. A worst cheat ever. And he doesn't care who knows. Said he said. The author of 2019 book Commander and Cheat. The book focuses on the President and his conduct on the golf course. He says, I love golf, and he has set the game back 30 years. Just when it was becoming cool with Rory McElroy and Ricky Fowler. We get this fat bozo. I'm quoting. We get this fat bozo cheating his ass off. Riley told The Guardian in 2019. Alice Cooper in 2012 said that the worst celebrity golf cheat was. Was Donald Trump.
Karen Feehan
Meanwhile, Al. Wait, Alice Cooper of Alice in Chains?
Katie Nolan
Yes. Not Alex Cooper? Of Unwell.
Karen Feehan
Of Caller Daddy?
Katie Nolan
Not her. But I do constantly get them confused in headlines, and it's led to a lot of really interesting moments where I'm like, Alice Cooper? Oh, no, no, no. That's Alex Cooper.
Karen Feehan
Okay, wait, Kathy Hilton said that to her? To her face? I'm pretty. Pretty sure she did. She goes, alex, do you ever get mixed up with Alice Cooper?
Katie Nolan
That's funny.
Karen Feehan
And Alex was like, physically, like, no, probably not, but that's funny to think about. Alice Cooper, like, just full golf down on the golf course. Like, yeah, he's cheating.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, Diplo. You know Diplo is.
Karen Feehan
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
The morning after the 2025 SB Awards, Variety had this big thing.
Karen Feehan
Party.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. But it was more like a conference where they had people speaking and they had, like, Mina Kimes was talking Alex Morgan. And then Diplo started discussing his latest venture, the Diplo Run Club Club. Inspired by Diplo's own experience of running a half marathon in Miami and then immediately going to a club, the Diplo run club hosts 5Ks in cities across the country that are then followed by daytime Diplo concerts.
Karen Feehan
I'd rather kill myself. I'm so sorry. I would not. You couldn't pay me enough money. I just. Everybody's trying to do everything at the same time. Just, like, run and, like, go to a club if you want. Like, what do you're telling me I have to run a. I have to become completely dehydrated, hydrated, then rehydrate myself, and then. I mean, I don't.
Katie Nolan
When does the Water happen.
Karen Feehan
But I'm. Yeah. I'm assuming you like. Then it's like a quote unquote party.
Katie Nolan
And then what?
Karen Feehan
We're boozing and doing drugs after we just cleansed ourselves so thoroughly.
Katie Nolan
October 25th. I'm not going in New York. At Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
Karen Feehan
Just play his music while we're running.
Katie Nolan
Right. What am I listening to while we're running? I'm not going to listen to Diplo because I'm about to listen to more Diplo than I've ever listened to when.
Karen Feehan
I imagine if it's double Diplo.
Katie Nolan
No way. You can't double dip dip. You cannot. Starting and finishing inside of Corona Park. The 5K run will take you past famous views and sites.
Karen Feehan
Okay.
Katie Nolan
Such as the Unisphere.
Karen Feehan
No.
Katie Nolan
The New York State Pavilion and waterfront paths. And then finish the day with a post race concert featuring Diplo and Friends.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. Who name names.
Katie Nolan
It just says and Friends.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. If it's not P. Diddy, I'm not going. I'm just kidding.
Katie Nolan
He's not out. Is he out?
Karen Feehan
No. Hopefully he never gets out.
Katie Nolan
I think he will be. Okay. The real reason I brought you here today, Karen.
Karen Feehan
What?
Katie Nolan
We're Massachusetts girls.
Karen Feehan
Yes.
Katie Nolan
So this. The sportsiest thing of this summer for us was the retrial of the century, obviously.
Karen Feehan
Yes.
Katie Nolan
Right. Karen Reed. A big involved Canton and the police officers and a Massachusetts story for the ages. And I've been saying to anyone who will hear me that you should play Karen Reid. Thank you so much that you have the look, the origin story.
Karen Feehan
I'm obsessed with her. I love her.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Karen Feehan
I think I would play her.
Katie Nolan
I think so too.
Karen Feehan
So thoroughly.
Katie Nolan
Right.
Karen Feehan
Some people are saying. I don't know if you recall one of the text messages from one of the cops regarding Karen was that she had no ass. So this keeps getting brought up on Twitter.
Katie Nolan
You're right. That would be a problem. As famously, your ass is all over my Instagram feed.
Karen Feehan
But I'm just like. You're telling me we can't. We're gonna cast her on one body.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Surely we tape that thing down.
Karen Feehan
Also, she's sitting down for most of the trial. Sitting down while she's driving.
Katie Nolan
Great point.
Karen Feehan
She's sitting down while she's at the bar.
Katie Nolan
I would argue we could find. That was. That was good. We could find pants. I've had a couple pair of my own pants. I could donate that. Are that. Have an unflattering.
Karen Feehan
You put a blazer over my ass.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. We're gonna hide that thing.
Karen Feehan
We're golden.
Katie Nolan
That thing won't be a problem.
Karen Feehan
And I also am so willing to take any part whatsoever. Well, no.
Katie Nolan
In the Bible. No, no, you'll be taking the part of Karen. You honestly look too much like Karen Reed to anybody other than Karen Reed. And so here was my plan.
Karen Feehan
Okay, what are we doing? What did she got?
Katie Nolan
I wrote. I got a little fake script here.
Karen Feehan
Nice.
Katie Nolan
So that we could read some sides.
Karen Feehan
This is good.
Katie Nolan
We put together a. And these aren't good scenes. Right. So I. We can pick which one we like the best. But you would be playing the part of Karen Reed here. And these are fake. This is fake. Made up based off of information from the trial, but not real scenes. And I think the people that I'm gonna be reading for don't really exist. These are like. Remember when Mark Wahlberg did a Sullivan?
Karen Feehan
Yeah, he does.
Katie Nolan
Remember when Mark Wahlberg did a movie about the Boston Marathon, but instead of honoring the actual people who did the heroic stuff, he made one character who did all of that, that was a fictional character, and then he cast himself in that role. That's basically what I've done here, Detective Sullivan. But. All right, let's. This first scene. I'll tell you what the three scenes are. You can tell me which one you think would be the best for us to get on tape.
Karen Feehan
Okay.
Katie Nolan
So we can send this over. Doing this. The first scene is a fake imagination of the interrogation room of a cop interrogating Karen Reed, pre trial during the investigation part.
Karen Feehan
I love that.
Katie Nolan
The second one is an imagining of what conversation could have happened between Karen. Karen and John o', Keefe, her boyfriend who dies.
Karen Feehan
I love that one. I'm loving that because that fits into also my theory of what happened.
Katie Nolan
Right. And then this third one is an interview, like a television interview with Karen Reid and a journalist about what happened. And the fourth one is the same thing. I think it's a better version of the third one. So these are our. Do you want to do the car?
Karen Feehan
I love the car, but, I mean, I'm open to your.
Katie Nolan
We'll start. We'll do the interrogation room, we'll do the car, and whichever one we like better will be the one that makes.
Karen Feehan
Makes it all right. Great.
Katie Nolan
Okay, great. So I'm gonna set the scene, and you just right now get into your best Karen read. I have black eyeliner if you need to do your waterline. I have it if you want it. This is in the Canton Police Department interrogation room night. A harsh fluorescent light buzzes above the room. Is cold and sterile. A small table sits between two chairs. Karen Reed, early 40s, sits in one chair. Chair disheveled, visibly shaken but composed. Across from her, Detective Sean Sullivan, 50s, experienced, pragmatic eyes, sharply suspicion. Karen clasps her hands, a trembling coffee cup untouched in front of her. You said you dropped him off at 12:30, but his phone goes dark at 12:23. That's not nothing, Karen.
Karen Feehan
I did drop him off at 34 Fairview. That's what I said from the beginning. Why are you all acting like I didn't?
Katie Nolan
Because your tail light was shattered. Because he was found on the lawn with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
Karen Feehan
And you think I did it? You think I hit him and just drove away? Do you even hear how insane that sounds?
Katie Nolan
Then explain to me how he ends up dead in the snow, Karen. Face down while you're calling friends, asking did I hit him?
Karen Feehan
Because I didn't know what happened. I was panicking. I just found him there, lifeless. And no, in. In that house full of cops seems to have heard or seen a damn thing.
Katie Nolan
You're saying they're all covering something up?
Karen Feehan
I'm saying you're so focused on me, you're not asking what really happened inside that house, where he was going, who was there.
Katie Nolan
You've got motive. The drinking, the fight, the guilt, the voicemail.
Karen Feehan
I've got love. That's what I've got. I love John. And now he's dead. And I'm the only one under a microscope. You think I'm the easy one to pin this on? Because I'm not one of you? What? What if I didn't kill him? What if you're looking at the wrong person?
Katie Nolan
Then you better hope someone else starts talking. Because right now, the silence is deafening. He stands, leaves her alone in the harsh light. Karen stares ahead, jaw set, determined, afraid, but not broken. I thought that was pretty good.
Karen Feehan
I think it's. I thought that was pretty good for our first read.
Katie Nolan
For a first read. I thought that was really good. I think we've got it. I think we can put together a tape there. We just have to figure out who I'm supposed to be sending it to.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. Nice little Karen Reed reel.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Yeah, but I think that was good.
Karen Feehan
Thank you.
Katie Nolan
Because, look, you gotta go get it.
Karen Feehan
You gotta manifest this.
Katie Nolan
You gotta manifest this.
Karen Feehan
You gotta put it out into the world. You gotta tell them you want it and go for it.
Katie Nolan
Exactly. You've got the accent, you've got the attitude, and you've never killed anybody with your Car. So I think you're perfectly made for the role.
Karen Feehan
I texted a couple agents about it, too, you know, in case anything like crosses or. I'm like, just keep your eye out. Yeah. And they were like, who is this?
Katie Nolan
What do you mean?
Karen Feehan
I'm just kidding.
Katie Nolan
I mean, surely they. Oh, you meant for you. I thought you meant, like, who's Karen Reed? That must. I mean, was it as.
Karen Feehan
Did you get my number as big.
Katie Nolan
Nationally as it was for us?
Karen Feehan
Oh, I don't.
Katie Nolan
I think. I thought.
Karen Feehan
I think it's making its way finally. Because. Because there's What? There's that 60 Minutes or 20 20, and then there's another docu series, too. Like, there's a lot of footage surrounding a lot of stuff, so. And it's fascinating.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Karen Feehan
All the stuff the cops did. Like, all of a sudden, there's evidence here and this and that. I mean, my theory is that she hadn't fully physically cheated yet, but she was flirting with another dude who was at the party. And I think her guy, like, sniffed it, had a feeling. So he got in a confrontation with that guy. But they all were on that guy's side, so they piled on him, including the dog. Dog. And then they left him out in the snow to die. That's what I think.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. I saw. I think I heard Karen Reed. That's right. I think I heard a juror say, like, if a person. If a cop turned up dead on my front lawn, I know they wouldn't not get me in trouble. Like, there's no chance I wouldn't be getting investigated.
Karen Feehan
Right.
Katie Nolan
And it's like, it wasn't Karen Reed's lawn, it was a cop's lawn.
Karen Feehan
Right.
Katie Nolan
They found him on.
Karen Feehan
Good. Great point.
Katie Nolan
It's like, you should probably. Yeah. I don't think they would just go like, oh, you said it was this land lady. Must be this lady.
Karen Feehan
Must be her. Wrap it up.
Katie Nolan
So that was all sports. That was it. That was casuals. Thank you for doing it.
Karen Feehan
What a great time.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Let's go over your dates again. Do you know, off the top of your head?
Karen Feehan
Yeah, sure. August 1st and 2nd, I'm at the drop in South Bend, Indiana, I think August 7th, I'm in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Then I'm in Lafayette, Louisiana. And then I'm in Chicago on the.
Katie Nolan
9Th and the 10th.
Karen Feehan
On the 9th and the 10th.
Katie Nolan
10Ths. 7, 8, 9, 10. She's on the road.
Karen Feehan
She's bebopping around.
Katie Nolan
I mean, to do two things in Louisiana and then have to do two things in Chicago. Those aren't like, close. When are you traveling?
Karen Feehan
No.
Katie Nolan
Eight. Nine. The day of eight. Nine.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. We're just hoping that nothing gets messed up, travel wise.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, it won't. It has to. Now that I've said this, I'm sure it'll go fine.
Karen Feehan
Everything will go smooth.
Katie Nolan
I'm sure you won't encounter any issues.
Karen Feehan
Delta do. Not me.
Katie Nolan
And where can they find you? On the Internet? You have a podcast?
Karen Feehan
Yeah. Check out Only fans My podcast. Katie, you gotta come do my pod.
Katie Nolan
Okay.
Karen Feehan
And follow me on Instagram. Subscribe to my YouTube channel. That's it.
Katie Nolan
And keep ahead on this. On this. Keep your head on a swivel for the Karen Reed stuff.
Karen Feehan
Yeah. You guys see stuff, just tweet at.
Katie Nolan
You see it, right? Look at her face. She's got it.
Karen Feehan
Born to do it.
Katie Nolan
She's got it.
Karen Feehan
Born to play this.
Katie Nolan
Thank you for being here.
Karen Feehan
Thanks, Katie.
Katie Nolan
All right. Big thank you to Karen Feehan for coming. Chris, we're running out of time. We're going way too long. But last week we skipped. Skipped what? You can watch if you want to watch sports this week. And I don't want to skip it this week. Do you have some?
Brady
Oh, of course I do.
Katie Nolan
All right, let's do them quick.
Brady
We're going to. We're going to start tonight, 10pm Eastern on Fubo. You can watch the Sparks versus the Aces in the WNBA. Now this is important because Cameron Brink is making her return to action after a 13 month absence. So we get to see Cameron Brink sued up for the Sparks tonight.
Katie Nolan
Very exciting. Very exciting.
Brady
Very exciting stuff.
Katie Nolan
The Valkyries have hit a bit of a skid, but I think we're going to get it back. What else?
Brady
The TBT semifinals. Number two aftershocks versus the number four. We are D3. That'll be Thursday, 8pm Eastern on FS1. We are D3, obviously, a team made up entirely of Division 3 athletes, of which I am a former Division 3 athlete myself. So I guess I got to root for these guys in this matchup. The other semi final will take place on Thursday at 6pm between Eberline Drive and Best Virginia. And then the final will be on Sunday at 4:00pm Eastern on Fox. The other two semifinals. Did I say FS1 did.
Katie Nolan
Boston versus cancer. Are they done?
Brady
They're done.
Katie Nolan
Cancer wins. Yeah.
Chris
Remember, they lost to cancer the second game.
Katie Nolan
It's tough.
Chris
They lost to sideline cancer.
Katie Nolan
It's tough. And then the third thing.
Brady
Red Sox and Astros, Friday, 7pm Eastern on Apple TV. Plus Garrett Crochet's pitching, though. We like Garrett Crochet. They Red Sox obviously went on that historical run of wins after he went to the zoo a couple of weeks back. He also leads the league in strike. So good opportunity to watch Garrett Crochet.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, he's great. And, you know, also there are Astros fans. All right. That's it. That's what to watch if you want to watch sports this week. And this concludes another ravishing, stunning, just like really gorgeous episode of Casuals. Thank you for listening. Thank you for calling in last week if you did. Thank you for even thinking about it. If you did. Didn't. We love you. We mean it. Right, Isabella?
Isabella Brady
Love you. Mean it.
Karen Feehan
Bye.
Katie Nolan
Okay. Wow. Bye. Well, we love. We mean it. Bye.
