Hello! It's that gol-darn sports podcast. Today, Katie and the Casualties discuss Babe Ruth, Shohei Ohtani, and the long history of disappointment in sports, the Oilers' Game One win over BOBROVSKYYY in the Stanley Cup Finals, and potential replacements for Tom Thibodeau on the Knicks bench, before diving into listener voicemails on hockey patriotism, the French Open, the Rockies' hot streak amidst ongoing biblical badness, LAFC, Filipino Night at Dodger Stadium, and iconic tandem gravel biking, before asking - "Did you see THAT?" during an INSANE week of college softball action.

You know, summer isn't just for playing sports. It's for the conversations around sports too. You know, the casual hangouts, whether they're inside in the air conditioning or out on the beach with fellow sports fans. Whatever kind of summer mood you're in, Starbucks has a beverage to match, like the Summer Berry Refresher, the unofficial drink of the summer. It's so good. It's sweet, but not too sweet. It's three berry flavors and it's everything I never would have thought I wanted, but absolutely do want. It's perfect for sipping while you catch up on last night's scores. No matter what, whether it's Whether it's that drink or one of their other summer drinks, your summer favorites are ready at Starbucks. In the summer, all of Oregon is our playground thanks to our incredible park system. That's why it's so cool that Oregon Lottery gameplay like video lottery or cash pop helps support tons of parks projects statewide like accessible trails at Silver Falls.
Brady
State park or upgrades to your favorite.
Katie Nolan
Dog park in Newburgh. It's just one way a little lottery play for many Oregonians can add up to a lot of good the Oregon Lottery. Together we do good things. Lottery games are based on chance and should be played for entertainment only. Must be 18 or older to play. Hey Isabella, did you see that a 200 year old condom decorated with erotic art is going on display in Amsterdam's something something Museum. Reich museum.
Isabella
Wait. 1. I didn't know we were starting the podcast yet.
Katie Nolan
2.
Isabella
How? Wait. 300 condom 200 year tattooed 200 year.
Katie Nolan
Old condom decorated with erotic art.
Isabella
And what is the erotic art on condom?
Katie Nolan
Let's find out together. The Netherlands National Museum has a new object on display that merges art with Amsterdam's infamous red light district. A nearly 200 year old condom emblazoned with erotic art believed to be made around 1830 from a sheep's appendix, depicts both the playful and the serious side of sexual health. It is part of an exhibition called Safe Sex, about 19th century sex work that opened on Tuesday. The condom, possibly a souvenir from a brothel because who doesn't want something to remember it by? Exit through the gift shop, please. Is decorated with an erotic image of a nun and three clergymen.
Isabella
They were a little okay, kinks.
Katie Nolan
The phrase this is my choice is written along the sheath in French. You have till November to go see it. So.
Isabella
Okay, cool. And you said it in the Netherlands.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, Amsterdam.
Isabella
Okay, so can't wait to go look at a 200 year old condom.
Katie Nolan
How come we're not putting pictures on condoms anymore. Yeah.
Isabella
Like, why wasn't that a thing that stayed.
Katie Nolan
I've never seen a condom with any sort of drawing on it at all. Now, granted, I haven't looked all that close, but I don't think they're putting them out with art.
Isabella
Maybe trying to, like, decorate it would affect the efficacy of.
Katie Nolan
Whoa. Good point.
Isabella
Thanks.
Katie Nolan
Good point. Good vocab.
Isabella
Thank you. Condom vocab.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Should we make a podcast?
Isabella
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Okay.
Isabella
I'm getting nervous. Can we move on?
Katie Nolan
Hello. Hi. Welcome to Casuals, the sports podcast that loves sports a normal amount, you know, and is chill about it. I'm Katie Nolan. I'm your host here today with the casualties. We have Isabella, we have Brady, we have Chris. We're going to do kind of like a hybrid news, voicemail, mailbag type episode. We've had a lot of mail from you guys that we want to get to. There's obviously also. We got to talk a little bit of hockey and other things going on in sports. And we're gonna premiere the new segment that we asked you guys to call in with. What did we call it? Did you see that?
Chris
Did you see that?
Katie Nolan
Did you see that? So we're gonna get to your. I'm sure we'll come up with a sound for it. I don't think we have it yet.
Chris
AI woman.
Katie Nolan
Maybe we can hire that person. Who. You don't see that every day. We could get that gal. Maybe we could call her up. I don't know.
Chris
She sounds more and more like Bart Simpson every time.
Katie Nolan
Her rates are very expensive. But we're going to get to that.
Isabella
Him on here.
Katie Nolan
That's what Bart Simpson.
Isabella
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Why?
Isabella
Because I thought you don't know anything about.
Chris
We know your.
Katie Nolan
Oh. Oh, it's so funny. Isabella made it. You made it sound like. I thought you had, like, a personal beef with Bart. Like, we don't bring him up on here. He broke my heart date. So. But anyway, before we get into all that that's coming a little bit later, we do have a little bit of housekeeping that' going to probably take the place of the yap. Because my yap, I realized it's too inside baseball. It's too. As a podcast for casual fans. I can't about in media. Sports media feuds. And there's a lot of them going on right now. But I realize that's only interesting to like me. And it's probably not interesting to you all, but if it is even a little bit, everybody in sports media is fighting with each other right now.
Brady
It's like I can't even narrow down who you're talking about. Like, there's so many.
Katie Nolan
I know because there's so many. I just feel like something's in the air. Everybody's fighting. And some of them are good, and some of them are stupid, and some of them, you're like. You're both wrong.
Brady
Do we need a rival?
Katie Nolan
Maybe?
Brady
I mean, who could it be? You're doing John Boy tomorrow. Do you want to, like, knock a drink out of Swilly's hands?
Katie Nolan
Do you think if I go to the MLB store in New York, Right? So it's like a Major League baseball store, Big store. Do you think they'll have a Red Sox city connect?
Brady
Oh, yeah. Really good chance.
Katie Nolan
Okay. I might take a venture up there today. That would really help with the rivalry that we're forming with John Boy.
Brady
Take that, John Boy.
Katie Nolan
Take that. Today's merch. Just for. If we clip this. I don't know. I'm wearing a shirt that has Dan and Myrtle on it. It's Dan as Macho Man Randy Savage and Myrtle as whoever wears a suit and is with Macho Man Randy Savage.
Brady
I'm gonna say that's Mean Jean Okerlund.
Katie Nolan
Great.
Brady
If Myrtle is interviewing Dan. Yeah. It'd be Mean Jean right there.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. She does have a mic with an M on it.
Brady
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
And it says Sofa King Dan Soder. It's sick, but I'm in my house. This is in your house merch. What I said was housekeeping was gonna take the place of the yap. So here it is. Chris, you said somebody emailed in about a couple days ago when Isabella went to go see Shohei Ohtani when the Dodgers played the Mets, and she said he stinks because she didn't see him do anything. We got an email about that.
Chris
Yeah. So we got an email from Jacob. And Jacob said hearing Isabella bemoaning the fact that Shohei didn't do much of anything when she went to see him in person reminded me of this letter that my mom found while cleaning at her great aunt's house. And I wanted to share it. This letter is from my mother's grandmother or my great grandmother. It's dated July 21, 1920. I think she's going to school in Brooklyn for some reason or another. Here is the relevant part. So this is. This is the letter. I'm now reading the letter. I'm not going to put on a.
Katie Nolan
Voice, but if you were going to, what voice would it have been?
Chris
Martha Meadow, one of the guests.
Katie Nolan
Don't put on the voice. Don't put on the voice. Great. You made the right call.
Chris
Martha Middaugh, one of the girls from school, and I went to the Polo Grounds to see the baseball game. The Yankees played Cleveland. New York scored one in the second and three in the third and Cleveland got nothing until the ninth when they made three runs. Talk about excitement. The grounds are on 158th Street. It took me one and three quarter hours to get back. And before I had dinner and got home, it was after eight. The ball grounds are very wonderful. I imagine it can hold about 40,000 people. The paper said 25,000 attended today. Some little crowd. Babe Ruth didn't do a gold darn thing. I was peeved yesterday. He made a home run. And then he goes on to say, this is one of the reasons why baseball is wonderful. People have been bummed out about watching the best player in the world put up a stinker and then have to fight through a terrible commute to get home for over 100 years. What else could connect me like this to a family member who died in 1950? So thank you for that, emo. Jacob. Very, very funny. I love Goldan, by the way, as.
Katie Nolan
He didn't do a gold darn thing. I was peeved.
Chris
We need to bring back Goldan.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Isabelle, would you say you were peeved at Shohei Ohtani?
Isabella
I mean, I wanted to see something amazing like, you know, and I didn't. But it's okay, Jacob. So basically what you're saying is you should buy me a ticket to another Dodgers game.
Katie Nolan
How did we get there? How did we get there? Poor Jacob is like, excuse me, I'm just sharing a rel. A family heirloom.
Isabella
So you're basically saying I just need to see Shohei Ohtani one more time and he'll do fine.
Katie Nolan
I think. I don't think so. But if that's what you're hearing, then.
Isabella
Baby, that's what I'm hearing.
Katie Nolan
That's right. Yeah. I think you just have to go again. I think you have to spend 1 1/3 hours to get back. Here's my thing about you going to that Mets game. You didn't give me any sort of estimation of how many people you think the stadium can hold. What kind of report did you file? You didn't tell me anything about, I.
Isabella
Don'T know, a hundred thousand? I don't know. I can't. How big is a stadium? How many? How many is that? Is that too big or too Small.
Katie Nolan
A little too big, I think. But here's my thing. I could never estimate numbers like that. And that's probably just because we've gotten stupider as technology has advanced. But the way that this great grandmother Sarah looked around and said, I think this could hold about 40,000. The paper said 25,000 were there, which, you know, attendance problem even then. You know, not filling the seats, even with Babe Ruth at a game.
Isabella
Damn.
Brady
Granted, it was all the kids then. They were all. They. They were all.
Katie Nolan
They were losing attention, I think.
Brady
New fan.
Katie Nolan
I think the kids were all working in the factories. Yeah, they were busy.
Brady
We might have another world war coming. We should probably prep some munitions or whatnot.
Katie Nolan
All the newsboys were working their shifts. We got another. This one's a voicemail, right? Or a couple. We got a couple responses the other day. Last episode, we shared our sports pain to try to make Isabella feel a little bit better, experiencing her. I don't know about first, but I would say one of your first, like, big losses at the hands of sports, and people called in to commiserate. You want to play some of those, Chris?
Luis
Hey, Katie.
Brady
This is Kevin in Phoenix, Though I used to live in Framingham. Shout out.
Katie Nolan
Shout out.
Brady
I just heard you tell the story of your personal experience with the Bruins Blackhawk series, and I wanted to share mine in response as a fellow Bruins fan. So I was in Las Vegas that weekend and was. Was on the Strip when the Bruins lost in that terrible fashion and had to take a red eye flight back across the country, stopping in Chicago.
Katie Nolan
Oh, my God.
Brady
After the Bruins had lost that Stanley Cup Final. And just my luck having it, when we got to Chicago, my whole group's flight was canceled, and we were struggling to even find ways back to Massachusetts, where I was living at the time. And as I'm just, like, pleading with the gate agent, like, please, just let me get home, I hear we are the champions. Start coming over the speakers in the airport, and literally the entire Chicago Blackhawks team got off in my terminal and everyone was celebrating and I was in.
Katie Nolan
The worst place in the world. That's about it.
Brady
I just wanted to share that.
Katie Nolan
Love you mean it. Bye. Kevin. I'm so sorry. I know it was a long time ago now, but that's brutal.
Brady
You know, they followed it with Chelsea Dagger, too.
Katie Nolan
Oh, God, if I ever hear that song, that song makes me vomit in the back of my throat. Isabella. When they score a goal, teams will play a song, and Chicago's is Chelsea Dagger. So in that moment when they scored those goals in 17 seconds. You hear that song back to back. It has drilled it into my head as like, it's. When I hear it, it brings that pain bubbles right up to the surface and it upsets me. Kevin, that sounds awful. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Isabella
That makes me feel better, though. Kevin, thank you. Thank you.
Katie Nolan
At least you were like in the comfort of your own home, dealing with your pain, not having to get home from Vegas, stopping in Chicago, the home of the people who just tore your hockey heart out. Yikes.
Brady
This was my logic to not go see the commanders in the NFC championship game this year.
Katie Nolan
We were with you for this, so you don't have to explain this to us. We helped you decide if you should go or not. And you were really gonna do it.
Brady
I was gonna do it. And then to have to leave that stadium in my own sorrow, but also being surrounded by 75,000 Philadelphians who were having a good time, not something I wanted to experience. I don't know if I want to experience 75,000 Philadelphians anytime, but, like, you.
Katie Nolan
Just got to get out. Yeah, you got to get out quickly if they're experiencing a win because you never know what they're going to do or a loss. You never know whose poop they're going to eat. You know, you just got to keep your head.
Chris
I love coming back to the poop eating they ate.
Katie Nolan
I mean, wouldn't you. Who's eating poop?
Brady
Statue of limitations is very long on that one.
Katie Nolan
You have one. You are eating poop. Do we have more. More sports pain? Let's talk. Yeah, well, people's pain here.
Chris
We have one more voicemail. This is an NFL related sports pain. Let's have a listen. Hey, everyone, this is Luis from Denver.
Luis
I thought I'd share my own lot of sports moment because it's always fun to share in people's misery. It'd have to be Super Bowl 48 back in 2014.
Brady
It was Broncos, Seahawks, obviously. That massive beatdown game was over with the opening snap.
Luis
That was a safety.
Katie Nolan
My buddy, about three hours in the.
Luis
Game, halfway through the third quarter, just.
Brady
Gets up without saying anything, leaves. About 45 minutes later, we're all wondering where he is. We walk outside, we see him ankle deep in Colorado snow, no shoes on, smoking the only cigarette he's ever smoked in his entire life. We ask him how he's doing, and.
Luis
He just says, I just needed to feel something real, man.
Katie Nolan
And I will never forget that.
Brady
Love you.
Katie Nolan
Mean it.
Luis
Bye.
Katie Nolan
Oh, my God, Luis. Love you. Mean it. As well. That's brutal. That's. To smoke your first cigarette. I mean, that. That.
Isabella
Ankles deep in this Colorado snow.
Katie Nolan
Crazy. That super bowl sucked. That was a boring super bowl for. For an uninterested party. I mean, just watching the Super Bowl, I remember being like, meh. Who was the. I think the. Was that Bruno Mars? I think that was the Bruno Mars halftime show. Brady's face is like, how do you expect me to remember that?
Brady
Because Bruno Mars is such a forgettable halftime show. That feels like it's.
Katie Nolan
No, he's not. Oh, my God. Your most incorrect opinion. That's your most incorrect opinion. I wasn't even a Bruno Mars fan. His halftime show was great.
Brady
Do I just remember nothing about it then? Maybe this is a MIA show.
Katie Nolan
Probably.
Chris
This might be a. Chili Peppers were also there.
Katie Nolan
He did it. Yeah, that's. I forgot that was the same one, cuz.
Brady
I remember the Chili Peppers. I remember nothing about Bruno Mars. I remember the Chili Peppers. His flea was jumping around with an unplugged base. I'm like, what are you doing, man? You're obviously not playing this thing. Like, I know no one's playing. They're all being dubbed in. But, like, this is, like, really obvious.
Katie Nolan
They're playing. What do you mean? They're all singing and playing. What do you mean no one's playing? It's halftime. Yeah, that super bowl was. Whatever. That was the New York Super Bowl. Correct. That was in New York.
Chris
Yeah, it was. You're right.
Katie Nolan
It was in New York. The lady who doesn't remember anything remembered something, and I just wanted to be confirmed that it was correct. And it was. Yeah, that's tough. That's tough. Also smoking one cigarette, I don't know.
Chris
How long would it have taken him to find one in the cold before the game was over, there a bunch of people outside smoking cigs.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, he probably would have been able to find one, I think. I don't know what the prices are like in New York now. It would be impossible to get one because somebody would be like, I need you to give me $5 because these are incredibly expensive.
Chris
Really? The sharing culture with cigarettes has completely changed.
Katie Nolan
Has it? Well, it's, you know, ever since they made it. Like, you can't just buy a Lucy. I think the sharing culture is also just different. I mean, people probably still do it. If I were still smoking, I would do it because I don't like to. I don't like confrontation, but it is. They are very expensive and don't smoke kids. But if you do Can I bum one of those? Okay. Thank you for sending in your sports pain, everybody. We love to share in it. That's really the wheelhouse for this podcast is talking to us about your experience as a fan.
Brady
The amount of commiserating from people who also wanted to fight Jeffrey Mayer. I felt like I was not alone.
Katie Nolan
That's really great. Like the second the episode dropped, I feel like you received email commiseration from people saying that they also wanted to, as a child, kill that other child.
Brady
And now I also know that if Jeffrey Mayer just like got super jacked and into karate over the last 30 years, I have backup now. We got this.
Katie Nolan
How many Brady sized people mad at this kid can take on one karate trained kid who's a per. Who's a man now? I assume if he's alive, he's got to be alive. Did we look him? Did you try to find him? Did you like look on Facebook? Have you ever tried to find him? He seems like the type who would be very active on Facebook.
Brady
Somebody would have told me if he died, there would have been something out, bro, do you see this? Mayor died.
Katie Nolan
Open that bottle.
Brady
Open that bottle you've been saving.
Katie Nolan
Mayor's down with his name on it. Yes. Hockey, you guys, it's happening. Finally. The. The week that we had to spend without any playoff hockey has ended. And last night the Oilers beat the Panthers in overtime. Leon Dry Settle's overtime power play goal gave the Oilers a 43 win over the Panthers. Game one of the Stanley Cup Final. The goal was his third in overtime this year in the playoffs, tying the record for a single postseason he had six during the regular season. Game 2, Friday night in Edmonton at 8 o' clock Eastern on TNT. We as a podcast obviously all rooting for the Edmonton Oilers.
Isabella
Woo.
Katie Nolan
Right, everybody, everybody, I just need verbal confirmation from each one of you. Like you're sitting in an exit row. Brady, do you know what Verbal Bobrovsky.
Brady
Verbal. Yes, yes. I'm acknowledging now that I just nodded when asked for verbal. Now I just feel like an idiot.
Katie Nolan
So yes, that's okay. No, that's fine. I do that. Truly. In the exit row I go thumbs up and they go verbal. And you're like, oh, yes, sorry, yes. Except really, no, I don't want to have to help out. You know I'm going to be passed out. So I hope the guy next to me can open this door because I will fear pass out. It's just a thing I do. I did. I have to admit, I didn't watch this game I couldn't watch this game. I was driving back, so I didn't. I just got little updates on it. Did anybody watch it?
Chris
I watched the first two periods and then went to bed because it was 10 o' clock by that time and I was battling a stomach bug yesterday and needed some sleep and was pleasantly surprised when I woke up this morning to check the scores and saw that the Panthers had blown it. That was nice because they were down there were. The Panthers were up by a goal, I think, in second period intermission. Is that what you call it? Second period intermission? Second intermission.
Katie Nolan
Second intermission. Yeah.
Chris
Yeah.
Brady
It's 3:1 early in. Yeah, 3:1 in second one point.
Chris
Yeah. So it was good to see that. That our boys pulled it out. Got the win. Game one.
Katie Nolan
That's right.
Chris
Looking forward to game two. But it was. It was a fun.
Brady
Ever since you. How many games you introduced me to the Bovski bit?
Isabella
4.
Katie Nolan
4. What you say, Brady?
Brady
Ever since you introduced me to the Bobrovski bit, every time I hear the name, I'm just tickled.
Katie Nolan
I know. It's impossible not to. It's like it really just sticks in your brain. Gun in your badge.
Brady
On my desk now, Bosky, you're off the force.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, it's pretty good. We got an email about this. I saw. I heard. I saw.
Chris
We did. The email was from. Is. Was. Is from Jesse. Jesse says thanks to Katie and the Casuals podcast. I'm a new Casuals hockey fan.
Katie Nolan
Let's go.
Chris
Way to go, Jesse. That's what we like.
Katie Nolan
Let's go.
Chris
I'm initially from North Carolina Shout out. So I was rooting for the Canes, and similar to Isabella with basketball, I'm now feeling disappointment. We get it. My question for Katie is, since my team is out of the finals and between the Panthers and the Oilers, am I now obligated to root for the Panthers to win the Stanley Cup? Because, America, what obligation do we have for patriotism in the Stanley Cup? None.
Katie Nolan
Zero. None. Absolutely none.
Brady
They're all Canadian anyway. Well, everybody on. Everybody playing is Canadian. They feel like they have the same number of Canadians.
Katie Nolan
Kachuk is American, and he's on the page.
Chris
Jason Tatum's best friend.
Brady
Yeah. I mean it.
Katie Nolan
None.
Brady
Feel like.
Katie Nolan
I say none. I say none. Hockey is. Is like Canada's national sport. They like. They haven't won a cup in Brady. How many years? Canada.
Brady
Oh, God, it's.
Katie Nolan
It's been a very long time. So I think. I don't think there's any room for patriotism here.
Chris
93.
Katie Nolan
There's. Since 1993. I thought you meant 93 years. I was like, that can't be right. That can't be right.
Chris
Canadians defeated the Kings in five games.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, well, screw Montreal. Just top to bottom, I think. Yeah, there's. Listen, everything's kind of coming down to patriotism right now. Right. So let's not bring it into sports. Keep it out of this. We're rooting for Edmonton. Better colors, better stars.
Chris
Better history.
Katie Nolan
Nicer to me, just in terms of my emotions, you know, I guess I would be happy for Marchand if he. If he won it. I can't. I would never. You'll never catch me rooting for the Panthers. I just can't do it. I won't be doing that. So it's up to you, Jesse. You're a new hockey fan. I don't want to deter you. If it's rooting for the Panthers or not liking hockey, then, yeah, you can root for the Panthers, I guess, but I wouldn't recommend it. And if I ever meet you, we wouldn't be friends if I found out. Just something to keep in mind.
Brady
Isabella, if you've landed on the Oilers and say you settle on the Mets for baseball, would you be willing to go the extra mile and just find a football team that gives you a clean blue orange sweep?
Katie Nolan
And who would it be?
Brady
It would be Denver.
Katie Nolan
Oh, of course. Yeah. You'd have to be a Denver Broncos fan.
Isabella
I don't know about that.
Katie Nolan
Okay.
Brady
Wondering how if your loyalty would be tied across three sports, you might as well.
Katie Nolan
I thought you bled blue and orange.
Isabella
I do, but I don't know. I feel bad. Like, I have. What is it? The jets and the Giants. I have to choose?
Katie Nolan
I wouldn't. I wouldn't. Listen, we're giving you an out. I wouldn't feel good about making you choose between those two right now.
Isabella
Okay. What about, like, the Eagles? I guess I could go for Philly, you know?
Katie Nolan
Yeah, you could. That's green. They're like a Kelly Green. We can get to this.
Isabella
I don't know anything about Denver, though, so, like, I don't have any Dan quarterback.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, Dan's from there. He can tell you all about it.
Isabella
Okay.
Katie Nolan
If you want. So just something to think about, you know, Football season. Okay. Still a ways away so we can discuss, but I think we could talk about it.
Brady
It's like 10 weeks till you're gonna need a football team.
Katie Nolan
Is that it? That's pretty much that far. We're already starting the countdown.
Brady
Short of three months? Yeah, I think so. Probably have to have it locked in ahead of week one. Yeah, probably right around fantasy football draft season.
Katie Nolan
We'll turn this into some sort of a segment. Surely we can come up with a Isabella chooses a football team segment and then we got to get her to a game. I'm excited.
Isabella
As if. I always hear football games aren't that fun.
Katie Nolan
They suck. Yeah, no, it sucks. Okay. It sucks so bad in person, but it's not.
Brady
Depends on how you are, the weather and the crowd.
Katie Nolan
Like, it's not for nothing, but Denver weather is awesome for football season. So actually not a bad.
Isabella
So basically you're saying you're going to fly me out to Denver potentially.
Chris
Isabella's on this crusade today of trying to find and so I think you.
Katie Nolan
Should buy me a ticket. I think what you're saying is you have to buy me a ticket. First class or an exit row. Yes.
Isabella
Dan will buy me a ticket to the game and we'll buy me the merch.
Katie Nolan
Okay. You're going to sign the Bruin Knicks jersey.
Brady
The NBA Bo Nicks may have the quarterbackiest face in the league. If we're just going on quarterbackiest. If you were just putting a chat. BGPT quarterback face. Like Bo Nix's quarterback face.
Isabella
Wait, is he the. Is he the Broncos quarterback?
Brady
Yes. Okay, this is a bit for later. Trying to find you a football team.
Katie Nolan
Jot it down for down the road. Make a note.
Brady
Yes.
Katie Nolan
And let's talk about the NBA, because Game 1 of the NBA Finals between Oklahoma City Thunder and the Pacers tips off tonight. Wow, that's a fart noise. And a thumbs down from his mouth.
Isabella
I just sprayed all over my laptop.
Katie Nolan
It did that thing where you were so loud that it like muted you because such a loud mouth. Fart noise. Boo.
Isabella
Who cares about game one tonight?
Katie Nolan
Most people. Most people. It's tonight at 8:30 Eastern on ESPN to which I do a loud fart noise. It's. Doesn't it feel like it's been like six weeks since basketball happened? Oh, Isabella, we didn't even talk about your coach getting fired.
Isabella
Oh, yeah, because we don't have to.
Katie Nolan
It was right after we recorded. I do think we should get a statement from you. If we had to get a statement from all the mayoral candidates at their debate, which we did, then I think you, as my mayor, should have to say something. Are you happy with the. What do you think?
Isabella
I honestly am not sure. I mean, I don't know much when it comes to, like, why management of Teams do whatever they do, and all the coaches.
Katie Nolan
What's funny is, neither do we.
Isabella
Okay. I have no. I don't know. I will say, though, that, I mean, like, with this coach, we did get to the Eastern Conference finals, and we also did pretty well in the last, like, few years. And also, I mean, I'm worried about, like, how does chemistry change now with, like, a new coach? Like, I don't know, valid concerns, you know, so that's kind of like maybe we should have given him, like, one more year. And also they, like, fired him. Like, what, like a two days after this. Yeah, that's.
Katie Nolan
That'll happen every now and then where you're like, well, that's a quick turnaround.
Isabella
You couldn't wait until maybe, like, the season was like, you know, someone won the finals and then made this decision. I don't know.
Chris
Very solid analysis all around. Isabella.
Katie Nolan
I don't. I just. I agree. I was gonna say I don't disagree, which just means I agree. I agree.
Isabella
Yeah. So, I don't know. It is kind of sad. I don't know who. There's. I've been seeing a lot of, like, speculations of who the potential new coach will be. I don't know.
Katie Nolan
We should get your name out there.
Isabella
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Start to circulate those rumors. She's. She's available. She's expensive, but she's available. And I am local. Very local. Willing to travel in from home.
Isabella
Only first class, though.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, first class from New Jersey.
Isabella
I've never. No. But when we're on away games.
Katie Nolan
Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Isabella
I've never flown. First class. Would love the opportunity. Next.
Katie Nolan
Don't do it till you're ready to stay doing it. I'll just say that. Okay. Because the drop back is.
Isabella
You feel it.
Katie Nolan
You really feel it.
Isabella
I'd probably be the shortest NBA coach in the league.
Katie Nolan
Cool. Avery Johnson coached. What?
Brady
Avery Johnson coached. He was tiny.
Katie Nolan
I like that Isabella gave you a laugh for that. Like, she had any idea.
Isabella
I know. I'm like, is he really shorter than 5 3? That's pretty short.
Katie Nolan
You're 5 3.
Isabella
Yeah. Maybe 5 4. I'll give myself that.
Brady
You should see, avery Johnson is 5:11. But the problem was, like, when you're always standing next to all those basketball show. You look like pocket size.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. You know that they're tall. But the first Isaiah Thomas was, like.
Chris
5 9, wasn't he?
Katie Nolan
Yeah. The first time you stand next to an NBA player, you go, like, what the. Like, it's even taller than you Thought in your mind. It's wild.
Isabella
Even the ones I feel like that look small on the tv. Like, they look shorter and like, you look them up and it's like, oh, they're six, two.
Katie Nolan
Like, how tall was Nate Robinson?
Brady
Nate Robinson was five, nine, I think. Five, nine, five, ten.
Isabella
Yeah, that's still taller than me. So you're tall.
Katie Nolan
Same, same Z's. That's the thing about a small girl is you're like, oh, anybody's tall to me. I don't need you to be a certain.
Isabella
Wouldn't you want to see this queen on the sidelines switching players out?
Chris
Me too.
Katie Nolan
Yes.
Chris
So would all the Knicks fans that listen to this podcast.
Katie Nolan
That's right. And I think it might be one of those things where, like, a complete outsider's perspective could really help things.
Isabella
Yeah. And it would just be on Vibes. Like, I don't know how to write up plays. I don't know what they do in that little huddle.
Brady
I mean, Thibodeau was a Vibes coach. Like, their defense was. They didn't switch. They didn't do anything crazy. Do five guys out there. The vibes are the important part. You just got to get guys.
Katie Nolan
Can I just say that the diff. The most difficult thing about him being a Vibes based coach is the fact that when you shorten his name, you pronounce it different than when you say the full name.
Isabella
That's always thrown Thibodeau or Thibodeau. Because I've been saying Thibodeau.
Katie Nolan
You say Tibs, but Thibodeau. And that to me, is a disconnect. I'd rather it be Thibs and Thibodeau or Tibs and Thibodeau. And the fact that it's the. A little bit of each. Who decided that? I don't like that.
Isabella
I agree.
Katie Nolan
That's my official stance.
Chris
Isabella, what would be the first speech that you gave to the locker room?
Katie Nolan
Good question.
Chris
Once you got the job?
Isabella
Oh, my God. I'd be like, guys, you're gonna do great. You're awesome. If you're ever worried, just look at each other and kind of, like, read each other's minds. And you know what I mean? Like, you know what you need to do, you know?
Katie Nolan
Mm.
Isabella
Don't foul. Don't piss me off, and get out there.
Chris
I'm in.
Brady
So here's the thing.
Chris
I'm ready to run through a brick wall.
Brady
I'll give you six guys. There's Kat, there's Mitchell, Robinson, OG Bridges, Hart, and Brunson, you have to look one of them in the eye and be like, you're not starting tonight.
Katie Nolan
Ooh, which one?
Brady
You gotta tell him he's not playing. So this is a speech you need to make.
Isabella
Josh Hart, because just for. Just in the last, like, series, I would say you're not starting because he's good. He's really good, but I just feel like he's. I feel like he'd be even better as, like, a vibe shifter on the bench.
Chris
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
You know what I mean? Coming off the bench. Yeah.
Isabella
Yeah, yeah. Do you know what I mean, right?
Katie Nolan
Yeah, totally. Even though Brunson didn't. Wasn't Brunson's plus minus, like, atrocious?
Isabella
I don't know what the fuck that means.
Brady
How many points are scored on the court?
Katie Nolan
Like, like, it basically measures your effect of be like you being on the court. Did it help or did it hurt?
Brady
Like, what's the score while you're there?
Isabella
There was a game where, like, in the last, like, six minutes, they put. In the fourth quarter, they put Brunson on. I was like, I don't think we needed to. I get why you would want to. Because he's, like, the captain, but, like, the benches were doing well, and when he came on.
Katie Nolan
See, this is the. This is the radical thinking.
Isabella
That's what I'm saying.
Katie Nolan
York needs.
Chris
We got a picture of Buddy. JD Yeah, I'll call him.
Katie Nolan
He should have known to hire Isabella, you know, and that his friend Harvey Weinstein was a creep. But I think I should have known will be about Isabella in. In. In the end, I would be so.
Brady
Psyched for the hot take industry to have to react to Isabella being named the New York Knicks.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Breaking news, this random girl from the Casuals podcast. Hey, Isabella, did you hear? You're the new lead coach. The head coach of the New York Knicks. That would be the cold open that day.
Isabella
Yeah.
Chris
If J.J. reddick can go from being a podcast. Podcast host into being the LA coach, why can't Isabella go from the argument?
Katie Nolan
We got a podcaster in charge of the Lakers. Exactly. We can't have one in charge. You're right. We deserve our own podcaster.
Chris
She's the East Coast. J.J. reddick is.
Isabella
He is he Would I like him?
Katie Nolan
Yeah, he's nice. He's nice.
Brady
He's fine. He writes a lot of poetry's nice.
Katie Nolan
Chris is making a face at me like he's upset. He's nice. I met him once.
Chris
Okay, that's good then.
Katie Nolan
He was nice. He collected watches I don't know if he still does, but he did.
Chris
And one.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
And so he's a rich white guy. That's what he was.
Katie Nolan
That is. I was like, that is an exclusively rich guy hobby. You never meet a guy who's like, oh, I'm working two jobs and I love to collect watches. Actually. Eight Seikos I've got. What did you say? Seikos?
Brady
Eight Seikos.
Isabella
Is that S I K O?
Katie Nolan
Oh, you know that because you watch a lot of tennis, and I feel like watches are advertised during.
Isabella
No, you're thinking of Rolex.
Katie Nolan
Well, whatever I'm thinking. It's a watch, isn't it? Yeah, they just always advertise luxury items during tennis is what I've noticed.
Isabella
Speaking of tennis, right now on my tv. To the right, ladies and gentlemen. Golf is playing Bus on.
Katie Nolan
That's good.
Isabella
And golf is winning 4, 0.
Brady
No one's hearing this in real time. It's a problem. So somebody has already sent this email as they're listening to us. We'd be remiss if not saying that there is already an entire film dedicated to a non sports fan woman being. Or she's a sports fan, but there's dedicated to a random woman being named head coach of the New York Knicks.
Katie Nolan
What are you talking about?
Brady
Whoopi Goldberg in Eddie was the head coach of the New York Knicks. This has already happened. Dennis Farina was fired. She was hired. Hilarity ensued. I just feel like I need to put that into ether because that was that.
Katie Nolan
There's precedent. This has already happened in the film. Yeah, man. So, Brady. And now here's where I ask you. You know, movies aren't real.
Brady
They tend to be inspired by real life.
Katie Nolan
Okay.
Chris
Or precursors.
Katie Nolan
Yes, exactly. They will inspire real life. So I think, Isabella, in your interview, if you're jotting these down, you should bring up JJ Redick and say, if podcasters can't coach, then what's going on in la? She's writing it down on a post. It. You know what that means? We're jinxing it. And then I think you should also bring up Whoopi Goldberg. These are two really solid arguments for you to say, why not me? Why not now? Why whoopee? Why not quite high school.
Chris
Riddick. But that's okay.
Katie Nolan
That's okay. She's.
Isabella
Oh, how did you.
Katie Nolan
Leave it alone. She's close enough. She's fine.
Isabella
God damn it. Is it not a double D?
Katie Nolan
Talk to. Jesus Christ. Talk to me about the French Open, because you guys know tennis not necessarily my forte. It's happening. We got an email from Sean in all caps saying casualties. Team Isabella is a tennis fan and we haven't talked about that yet. And the French Open is currently in progress. Question mark. Question mark. Question mark. More talk about tennis, please. Love you. Mean it. Bye. What's going on in the French Open?
Isabella
French Open is on, guys. Semi women's semifinals today. I believe the men's is tomorrow. I forgot how fast tennis tournaments work. Like, the other day I was like, oh, we're only on the fourth round. And then I was like, oh, I forgot. It's like every day it moves very quickly. So finals are this weekend. I'm excited for that. I'm the most excited for which is the game that's on right now but will be finished by the time that this episode airs is the one with Coco Gauff and the French wild card entry, Lois Boisson. I don't know if that's how you say it.
Katie Nolan
Sounds beautiful when you say thank you.
Isabella
Yeah, it's exciting because it's like she's a wild card entry and she's also French. We're at the French Open, so the crowd is probably rooting for her. She's like 360 something ranking.
Katie Nolan
Whoa.
Isabella
Yeah. So it's like she's gotten really far.
Katie Nolan
But good for her. That's kind of exciting. But you would like to see Coco.
Isabella
I would. It's one of those situations where it's like, I'm rooting for Coco Gauff. I really like her. But I could also understand how amazing this one would be.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, it's like, it's a good story. If the French wild card entry goes further in France. But it's. But we love Coco Gauff and we root for her.
Isabella
Like, I get it, like when yos opens on and like, say Coco Gauff, like, wins, you know, in New York, it's like a big. You know, it's a great feeling. So I get for the opposite perspective. But.
Chris
But then again, you're. You're sort of having that same problem as you get in March Madness when a Cinderella team makes a really big run and they get to maybe the final four. And then that final four game is a blowout. That's sort of what. That's.
Katie Nolan
Is that what's happening?
Chris
That's what's happening right now, it seems like against Coco Golf. What's. What's. You said four. Nothing. Four, four, zero.
Isabella
Oh, no. Right now is a commercial for Rolex, but that's no Even if she gets.
Chris
Past Coco Golf now, then you're worried about what's going to happen the next round and if that's going to be like a six love. Six love type deal.
Isabella
Yeah.
Chris
And you don't want that in a. Would that be the finals?
Isabella
Yeah, it wouldn't be fun.
Katie Nolan
What's going on with the boys?
Chris
I actually, I watched the Novak Djokovic Zverev game yesterday.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Chris
And I was under the impression I haven't watched tennis in a few years. I just assumed that Djokovic was coming towards the end of his career. He's been quite good for quite a long time. And being out of tennis for so long, I was hoping that once I got back into it, he would no longer be a thing.
Katie Nolan
You don't like him?
Chris
No. He is still incredible.
Katie Nolan
Still very good.
Chris
Yeah. He's like a six seed at the moment and he. Zverev was a three seed, something like that. And. And Djokovic just controlled the game the whole way through one in four sets and just looked unstoppable. And this is a guy who's a couple of years away from 40, gone through some injuries the last couple of years, but looks in incredible health. Looks like he's as good as he's ever been.
Brady
And.
Isabella
Yeah. Is there like a player out there in other sports where you're just like, why are you so good?
Katie Nolan
Yeah. I mean, that was Tom Brady for a while. I think people were like, getting out of here. And then he played till he was 40 something.
Isabella
But I feel like Tom Brady is at least like, he has a lot of people who at least like him. Right.
Katie Nolan
We're just loud. I think we're just really loud. We were just loud. But people hate. A lot of people, really hated him. He made them upset.
Chris
But Djokovic will play the number one seed, who's also number one in the world, Yannick Sinner, tomorrow at 1pm Eastern. The other semifinals matchup in the men's draw will be between eight seed Lorenzo Musetti and two seed Carlos Alcaraz.
Katie Nolan
You think he's seen Sinners?
Chris
Yes. Purely because he's like, you know what? I have to watch this.
Katie Nolan
If Nolan's came out, I'd go see it. I'd be the first one in line. Just have to see what they're saying about us.
Isabella
Have you seen every single Christopher Nolan movie?
Katie Nolan
Oh, my Uncle Christopher. Yeah. No, maybe. No, I don't think he did. Memento. Right. That was him. Oh, yeah, saw that.
Chris
That's probably my favorite Nolan movie.
Katie Nolan
And. And Interstellar. And the one that was too impossible to understand. The plot where it was like backward. Yeah. Tenet. I watched. I saw that on a plane and I was like, I can't. This isn't a plane movie. I have no idea what's happening.
Chris
It's dunk.
Katie Nolan
I did not watch Dunkirk.
Isabella
He did it too, right?
Katie Nolan
Yes. And I saw that and actually own that by accident. That was a red box that I forgot to return. And then red on the red box of Inception. Oh yeah. I saw Dark Knight, obviously.
Chris
One the Prestige.
Brady
Prestige may be my favorite, Nolan.
Katie Nolan
I don't remember much about it, but I definitely.
Brady
It's hard to talk about it without spoiling anything. David Bowie was in it, so maybe that immediately puts it number one.
Katie Nolan
But what an odd. You're such an odd bird, Brady.
Brady
Oh, I'm not odd for loving David Bowie.
Katie Nolan
No, but you're odd for that being. The reason that you would like the Prestige is because David Bowie is in it for how long?
Brady
He's got many several scenes. Some scenes.
Katie Nolan
A couple scenes from many to several. Immediate downgrade.
Brady
He's playing Nikolai.
Katie Nolan
He shows up. Yeah. Never.
Brady
Bowie rules.
Katie Nolan
When does. When's the French Open sort of reach its finals peak?
Isabella
Yeah, this weekend, guys.
Katie Nolan
Big news in baseball. The Colorado Rockies currently are on a three game win streak. They ended their record setting 22 consecutive series losses when they beat Miami on Tuesday night. Which really, if you end your losing streak by beating Miami, does it really.
Brady
Count when you've only won nine games all year? Yes, it counts.
Katie Nolan
What's their current record? 9 and 50.
Brady
They were. Now they're 10 to 12 and 51.
Katie Nolan
That's crazy.
Isabella
Shout out, Rockies.
Katie Nolan
Don't let the Rockies get hot. Watch out.
Brady
World class post after they won too. Yeah, they're now 12 and 50.
Katie Nolan
The win gave Colorado two straight victories. Now they're at three over the lines. To ensure the Rockies would leave town with their first series victory since taking two of three games in Arizona in Denver in mid September. Crazy. They this crazy. It's just absolutely crazy. We got a voicemail about the Rockies, I think. Or about baseball.
Chris
About the rookies specifically.
Katie Nolan
Let's hear it.
Luis
Hi, Katie Nolan. Jack in Minneapolis.
Katie Nolan
My question for you is, as a.
Luis
Fan, if your team is this bad, don't you just cheer for them to have be like biblically bad, like the.
Brady
Worst possible team in the history of.
Katie Nolan
Whatever league they are participating in.
Luis
Because that in itself will be more.
Brady
Memorable than like a.500 season where they.
Luis
Don'T like fun to cheer so bad.
Katie Nolan
Instead of aggressively mediocre.
Luis
That's it. Love you mean it by.
Katie Nolan
Love you mean it by. I thought he said Zach. You wrote Jack. Who? Let's vote. Is his name Zach or Jack? Vote for Zach. You say Jack.
Brady
I heard Jack.
Isabella
I didn't. I didn't fully hear it. So I'm gonna go with Dak.
Katie Nolan
Dak, I love you and I mean it. Hope you got to work on time. It sounds like a hell of a commute in that car. I. Yes, 100%. You root for them to be bad. I remember when the Browns were going for their fully defeated season. I remember rooting for them to never win because it just is that much more interesting. It really is an accomplishment. If you are so far back that you won't be able to accomplish any of the things normally seen as an accomplishment by a sports fan, then why not aim for a remarkable, historic season the other way? So, yes, I think it would be incredible if the Rockies find a way to. To be worse than the worst team in baseball. We just saw last season in the Chicago White Sox. Shout out to the Pope.
Brady
The worst thing in sports is not for your team to be bad. That's like the third worst team. The third worst thing the worst thing would be. I guess the worst thing would be to be like DeSean Watson. Then the worst thing after that is Jesus Christ.
Katie Nolan
Why even what say the worst thing.
Brady
Is to be boring. But then I guess worse than that is if your team is just got.
Katie Nolan
To make sure we bring up. You wouldn't want to look over the sexual assault. Got to make sure that we would.
Chris
Have got emails bringing it up otherwise. Like Brady, why didn't you.
Brady
This guy thinks the worst thing is for his team to be boring. I say the 1999 Trailblazers.
Katie Nolan
I think the worst thing in sports is when you murder your wife and a waiter. I don't know if you. Oh God, that's not Bart Simpson.
Isabella
We don't mention him on this podcast.
Katie Nolan
All what were you. What was your actual point before you got derailed by bringing up Deshaun Watson for no reason?
Brady
So the worst thing aside from being bart Simpson or O.J. simpson is to be boring. You don't want to be boring. Like, you don't want to root for a team that remember that. Remember Jeff Fisher would go 7 and 9 for a decade straight with the Tennessee Titans? You're like, this team's so boring. The worst thing is that and just not be excited. And you're not good, but you're also not like, horrifically bad. You don't even have like a goal to avoid. You don't. You can't even cheer for like these little victories, like a three game win streak in June. Like, make history. Be horrifically bad. Find these little characters on your team that even though they suck. You have a quirky second baseman who's 5 foot 2 and majored in rocket science or something. You have these little people scattered throughout baseball. You don't want to be boring, so if you're not, don't be boring. Be exciting. Suck horrifically. Chase down like the 1899 Richmond Spiders records and whatnot. Cleveland Spiders do that. That's much more fun than just being a boring okay team.
Katie Nolan
I think the third worst thing is to be a team that continues to lose by one run in different. In new fun and different ways every game. Like the Boston Red Sox, who actually walked it off yesterday, a day game with the world's shortest home run. It was like. It was so. It was nothing. 308ft. It was remarkable. It was like, yeah, okay, I guess we won. Technically, we won. But what a crazy thing to.
Brady
Oh, that actually is the shortest walk off homer in history. That's impressive.
Katie Nolan
It like barely squeaked out. Lou Meloni was like, I think that's a home run. I think. I think we're walking it off.
Brady
And yeah, the right field. Right field pole at Fenway is absurdly close because it's 307ft out there and then it curves back immediately. So, like if you hit it straight down the line, it's 307 or something. They call it Johnny. It's Pesky's pole, named for Johnny Pesky who played out there. So, like, if you hit like a pop up, like a medium popup to right field, there is a slim chance that it goes straight down the line. You're a home run and. Good God. Saddan Rafaela. Good for you, man. Shortest walk off home.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. We did it. We did it. Big win for us. The Boston Red Sox. What's up, honey?
Isabella
Is Dan a Rockies fan?
Katie Nolan
No, he's a San Francisco Giants fan.
Isabella
I was gonna say sorry to him.
Chris
Shut up.
Katie Nolan
No, yeah, he's fine. He's doing okay. He's a. You're a Giants fan. Do I do this every time you do that, Chris?
Chris
I don't know if I've pledged my.
Katie Nolan
I don't think you have to the.
Chris
Giants on this podcast, but yes, I am a Giants fan. Oh, no. I might have mentioned it once because I mentioned that I fell in love with them. After watching Tim Lincecombe pitch.
Katie Nolan
That's right. Back in 2010, Tim Lincecombe, who I think everybody pointed out to me, unless I'm misremembering, is Filipino. Oh, it did come up.
Brady
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
Somebody said Tim Lins.
Isabella
Is he still on the Giants?
Katie Nolan
No, no, no.
Chris
Is he still Philippines?
Katie Nolan
No, he denounced. He denounced and moved.
Brady
Yeah. Tim's is the daughter of Filipino immigrants, according to Wikipedia.
Katie Nolan
Shout out. Tim Lincecum, Filipino legend. You would have really liked him, Isabella. He would have gotten you into baseball, I think.
Isabella
Wait, what's his last name?
Katie Nolan
Lincecum. L I N C E E C.
Chris
U M. Legitimately went from not liking baseball to loving baseball within a night because of Tim Lince.
Katie Nolan
He was electric.
Chris
Yeah.
Brady
Long hair, electric. Kind of very unconventional. Looks like Mitch.
Katie Nolan
Long hair.
Brady
Don't get confused.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Had this throwing motion where he would lean back and, like, almost touch the ground with the hand the ball was in. Then kind of swing it over the top and flail his leg and it looked wild. And for like five years, he was the best pitcher in baseball. And then he completely fell apart again. So he was just, like, flash in the pan for a short period.
Isabella
Wait, is he, like, still playing?
Brady
No.
Katie Nolan
Oh, this was kind of a while ago.
Brady
He's only 40. There are older pitchers than him in baseball still, but he's been gone for a while.
Isabella
He's nicknamed the Freak.
Katie Nolan
That's right.
Chris
All big time. Timmy. Jim.
Katie Nolan

The hatchback that took you cross country and back, and the minivan that tackles the weekly carpool for the cars you couldn't live without.
Katie Nolan
Trust Ameca Auto Insurance. Ameca empathy is our best policy. All right, should we get to. Did you see that? Because I'm very excited to see if this concept works. We pitched it kind of a, a while ago. I don't know. Time is moving. Strangely. The world kind of feels like it's ending. And so we said that if you see something, say something. Basically.
Brady
Please snitch on sports.
Katie Nolan
If you're watching something in sports, sports and you go, like, what? That's crazy. It can be the smallest. It can be your niece's softball game. Call the number which is, you know, I don't have it in front of me. So it's 646-800-01-0043. And let us know you're doing a. Did you see that? And tell us what happened and how you're feeling. I think it's a good snapshot of fandom. And so we put that out there and, and we haven't talked a lot about the Women's College World Series, but we got so many. Did you see that? That this is going to be a great way for us to discuss the action of the Women's College World Series. Do you want to start on Thursday, Chris, with the first. First voicemail we got about Tennessee number seven, Tennessee versus number two, Oklahoma.
Luis
Hey, this is Leela calling from Atlanta. I just saw Oklahoma walk off their softball game, win against Tennessee. Huge home run with like one out left. Tennessee could have had it and they just couldn't do it. I don't even like Oklahoma like that because they're the Alabama softball. But man, that was just really cool. Anyway, love you. Mean it.
Katie Nolan
Shout out, Leela. Love you. Mean it. I love that they are the Alabama of softball.
Brady
Oklahoma is going for the five Pete. Five Pete, I believe, down to Tennessee. And Tennessee's starting pitcher. I don't remember her name, but she was incredible that day. Left her in for like 140 pitches. We're in the seventh inning and they left her out there and she's grinding away like, got to be getting tired at that point. But they leave her in there up 3 1. Oklahoma's only run had come on a home run that game. Otherwise no one could touch her. They went bloop single, bloop single. And suddenly there's two runners on and two outs, and the woman who had hit the home run comes to the plate. And it's kind of that moment in sports where you know that stars are aligning this way. Like the one girl who's been able to touch her. This game is now coming up two runners on. They leave the pitcher in there because, I mean, it's not. You're not going to your clothes. You ride your horses at that point in softball and fastball up in the zone. She just launched it. Walk off tank shot to center field. And the College World Series softball interviews. I'm pretty sure the post gamers are the best post game interviews in sports.
Katie Nolan
Why?
Brady
Because men are assholes and.
Katie Nolan
Oh, Jesus.
Brady
Okay, Women in that moment.
Isabella
Ally for men.
Brady
No. Have you seen what we've done to this place?
Katie Nolan
No.
Brady
Because you get the rawest emotion, like there. You cross the plate and tears are flowing. There is no holding back. There is. Here is what I feel right now. I'm, you know, laying it out. Thank my teammates. Thank everyone. Like, there's no holding back. There's no barrier of like I. There's a raw, true emotion in that moment like no other sport. It was just an amazing.
Katie Nolan
You know, the barrier that exists for men is. Is in your head as well. You are allowed to cry. We welcome it. We would love to see it cry. Boys, cry for us right now. Do it right now. Do it, Brady, go. You say you're an ally Ball gotta.
Brady
Hit a walk off homer first.
Katie Nolan
Damn ball so hard. Okay, we got another voicemail about. Did you see that on Friday? What game was this?
Chris
This was The Ole Miss vs Oregon game from Friday. We actually got a couple of emails about this, but this is the voicemail that we're going with, so let's have a listen.
Luis
Hey, did you see that? In the women's College World Series between Oregon and Ole Miss, the pitcher threw a pitch and it was right down the middle. No swing, didn't hit the dirt or anything. But the catcher immediately, like, went down to the ground like someone had squirted her in the eyes with water right as she caught the ball. Everyone's like, what happened? Didn't see anything. They showed the replay. The pitcher, as she was striding, kicked up a piece of. A chunk of dirt, and the ball went right through the chunk of dirt, exploded the dirt and shot it straight into the catcher's eyes. Never seen anything like that. It was incredible. Anyway, love the pod. My name is Kara. I'm calling from Ohio. Really love what you guys are doing. Have a great day.
Katie Nolan
Carol.
Chris
Was her name Carol or Cara?
Katie Nolan
Oh, why does this keep happening? I can't quite tell. I thought she said Carol, but it could have been Carol.
Isabella
Let's give her a nickname and call her Cece.
Katie Nolan
Cece. Hey, Cece. Thank you for calling from Ohio. I did see that. That was crazy. This was like, Isabella, remember when we told you that somebody hit a bird with a ball and the bird died? This was like the. The pg, like the G version of that, where it was like, what are the odds that a chunk of dirt kicked up at the same time that a ball is coming through, would hit the thing that would then send the projectile into the eye? The way that things would have to align this, like, dude, perfect. Couldn't do this if they tried. This was like a crazy coincidence that I just could not believe happened. And they had to, like, slow it down for everybody to see because people were like, what is this? What happened?
Chris
Yeah. And the shot that they got looked incredible.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Chris
It just looks so good. They got the perfect moment, like, the perfect frame. It was so strange.
Katie Nolan
So strange. Such a strange, weird thing. Oregon won the game 6:5 in the 10th. These games have been intense, but shout out to Cece for. For using the. Did you. Hey, did you see that? Maybe we just. Maybe we just collect all the times people say that at the beginning of a voicemail, and we put that together into some sort of a sound and we play that as the intro to the segment. Good idea. Good idea from Katie. Somebody can be done. All right. We got another one on Saturday. This was from number 12, Texas Tech versus number nine, UCLA.
Luis
Hey, casualties, this is Taylor calling from Austin, Texas. I'm calling in for did you see that? Where Texas Tech Michaela Garcia stunned UCLA by feeling home in the women called World Series. It was pretty amazing. And just want to know if everyone saw it. Love you. Mean it. Bye.
Katie Nolan
I didn't see it. I heard about it, but I didn't see it. Did anybody see it live?
Isabella
I didn't know.
Chris
I didn't see it live.
Katie Nolan
No. Damn. Wow. Wow. Taylor from Austin.
Chris
That's why I am grateful that we have Taylor to call in and let us know that it happened.
Katie Nolan
Stealing your hand. So it means that like, nobody. The ball hasn't been hit. So when the ball gets put in play, the runners move. But if the ball hasn't been hit, you can still steal a base. You can make a move to take a base. Stealing home is really difficult because the pitcher and the catcher are right there. And usually you could easily make a play. I assume it was like a wild pitch or like a pass.
Brady
No, it was a they. So it was just the catcher took the pitch, she led off third, came, you know, halfway down. Catcher just lobs it back to the pitcher. And as she's throwing it back to the pitcher, Michaela bolts for home.
Katie Nolan
So risky.
Brady
Steals the base before the pitcher.
Katie Nolan
So, so risky.
Isabella
Yeah, that's cool.
Katie Nolan
It worked. It worked out. Very fun. Very exciting, very electric.
Isabella
Boogie woogie woogie.
Katie Nolan
That's right from that UCLA game. We go to Sunday's UCLA game against Tennessee and we got a voicemail about that, correct?
Chris
Yes, we do.
Luis
Hey, guys, did you see that? I'm sorry, I'm stunned. I'm watching the Tennessee UCLA game and they just hit us with an appendix G, whatever that means for the batter hitting a home run and missing home plate and then getting assisted. But then like, they can't review it. But then the umpire said that. You're like, you're telling of yourself. I wouldn't have done that. I would have just said, call up.
Brady
Held, and then ran away.
Luis
I don't know if I said my name. I'm Junior. I'm in Seattle. Love you guys need it.
Katie Nolan
Love you mean it, Junior. I did see this one. So this was crazy. Isabella. They. Somebody hit a home run, okay. And they. It was alleged that she didn't touch the plate. So you have to touch all the bases. Even though it's like a. You know, you got it, you hit it, it's out. You have to touch every base. Everybody gathered at the plate to celebrate with her. And upon looking at the review it, you could see she doesn't touch the plate. And so they reviewed it, they went back and looked at the tape. For like, a very long time they spent watching this tape to see if she actually touched the plate, if it was going to count or not. And then after that, they said she didn't, but it's not reviewable. And so it stood, which was like, spent. Like, then what did we spend 15 minutes doing if it's not reviewable? But there are. They said maybe she didn't touch the Plate, but we aren't allowed to review it. And so it stands.
Brady
They have to see it in real time.
Katie Nolan
And I agree with JR on that. I would have been like, calls upheld. I'm sorry. Be way too embarrassed to go, hey, we can't look at that. Even though we were just looking at it.
Isabella
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
So that would devastate me.
Brady
I think it's such a Bush way to win.
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
You imagine like, we gave up the winning homer, but then she also got too excited and skipped over.
Katie Nolan
Yeah. I don't think as, like, we're gonna.
Brady
Take the W. Yeah.
Katie Nolan
I don't think I would have been happy about it if it was like, okay, she didn't touch the plate, but like, she, you know, basically touched the plate, but just an appendix G. I think that was the. You can't review this play in the rules. Gotcha. Which is like an obscure rule that we all found out about live in real time. Because what an interesting situation to find ourselves in. Okay, this is the. This was from yesterday's game, right? The championship finals. Game one between Texas Tech, number 12 Texas Tech and number six, Texas.
Luis
I can't believe what I just saw watching the College World Series softball. Texas versus Texas Tech. Blown call earlier in the game that put Tech up. They shouldn't be up at all. Texas at one of their last chances. Million iq. They freaking drop the ball in. Then they freaking hit on a walk like they're trying to walk the girl and she hits the ball because she realizes they're trying to walk her close to the strikes. Why would you even do that? Why would they do that? Heck, what are you doing? But I don't care because I'm a Texas fan.
Katie Nolan
So. Yeah.
Luis
Amazing. Texas is up now, 22 to 1. I think they could win this game now. And. Yeah, let's go hook them.
Chris
And Texas did win the game. Two one.
Katie Nolan
You called it. Did that person ever say their name?
Chris
No.
Katie Nolan
No. But they were excited.
Isabella
Let's call them. Hook them.
Katie Nolan
Hey, hook them. Hey, Hook em. I love your passion. I love your passion. Congrats on the dub. Game two is tomorrow.
Chris
Tomorrow at 8pm Eastern.
Katie Nolan
Today. I think it's. Isn't it today?
Brady
They're playing three straight days.
Katie Nolan
Right.
Chris
So it's tonight that incorrectly. My apologies. Game tonight.
Katie Nolan
It's okay. You're just fired. Tonight at eight on espn. The. The is game two. That's an exciting. I mean, at any time, it's like Texas. In Texas, you know, anytime you try.
Brady
And intentionally walk her with first base open and she bad News Bears did and legit just reached the bat out and hit the intentional walk for a two run single.
Katie Nolan
That's sick. That's why when you intentionally walk, you really gotta.
Brady
You gotta throw way out.
Katie Nolan
Throw it way out?
Brady
Yeah, like 50 cent first pitch wide, like throw that thing towards the dugout.
Katie Nolan
Isabelle. Sometimes you just. When someone's gonna hit and you don't wanna risk it, you can just put them on first base. You just intentionally walk them. So instead of like, you know, pitching to them, the catcher basically stands up and moves out of the strike zone and you throw four pitches that count as a walk. And then they go. But. But if the batter wants to, they can swing at it and rare every. You know, sometimes they'll make.
Isabella
Is it to, like prevent the risk of them hitting like a home run or something?
Katie Nolan
Yes. Yes. Yeah.
Brady
Like, Barry potentially walked 232 times one year because the Giants were not good. And he was the greatest home run hitter of a generation. So he just got walked every game. They just wouldn't pitch to him.
Katie Nolan
It's very frustrating, I imagine.
Brady
Texas Tech head coach. Fun fact about that guy, I was reading a profile of him.
Katie Nolan
Is he a podcaster?
Brady
20 year hunting and fishing guide in on like the Texas border. And gave that up because Mexican cartel violence was getting so bad that he couldn't go on, like hunting and hunting and fishing expeditions anymore down near the border. So it's like, all right, I'm gonna cut softball now. And it's worked out for him.
Katie Nolan
What?
Brady
See, this is why you read the stories, people. Everyone has a life story that is in these games.
Katie Nolan
Okay. Is there a lot of hunting and fishing on the border of Texas?
Brady
I mean, it's a river. Fish a river.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, sure, Yeah. I mean, you can hunt and fish anywhere. Technically, I don't know that it's recommended or legal, but you technically can hunt anywhere you want to.
Brady
Do I remember this guy's name? No, but do I know that the Mexican cartel drove him to the world of Texas Tech softball? Yes.
Katie Nolan
And I would guess that's probably the first time that's happened, but I. I could be wrong. I don't know. I don't know the history of the cartel's influence on softball. Maybe we could do a deep dive. It wasn't all softball. It wasn't all softball in the. In our first installation of. Did you see that? We got some soccer as well, some footy, right? Why'd you look at me like that? Chris goes.
Isabella
Chris was like.
Chris
I can call it that if you.
Katie Nolan
Want his lip turned up in a way that was pure disgust. Like, don't call it that. Football.
Luis
Hey, Katie. And the casualties. This is Kelsey from Los Angeles. Plum wanted to call in for your. Did you see that segment? So LAFC played Club America in the FIFA Club World cup qualifier. No one expected LAFC to win. That's Los Angeles Football Club for the Casuals. And we won and it was amazing. And we went to overtime. And my voice doesn't normally sound like this, but this is the sound of victory. Check out FIFA Club World cup and lafc. I'm not sure if we'll go much further because I think the next team we play is Chelsea, but really cool to be included with those European teams and teams around the world. So I just wanted to shout out and have everybody check us out. So that's it for now. Love you. Mean it.
Katie Nolan
Love you. Mean it, Kelsey. I feel like I recognize Kelsey's voice. I feel like. I feel like she's been. Feel like I've heard from Kelsey before. What is the FIFA Club World Cup?
Brady
It's a world tournament of club teams.
Katie Nolan
That's cool. How long has that been going on for?
Brady
I don't know.
Katie Nolan
Oh, I don't feel like the United States probably makes it into that quite often.
Brady
No, absolutely.
Katie Nolan
In any way.
Brady
Which is why it's cool. Like, you get this matchup of LAFC against Chelsea.
Katie Nolan
Okay, so that's. That's ongoing. That's an in season tournament. Right. Because MLS is in season.
Brady
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
So that's. And that's here in the United States.
Brady
Here in the US starting on June 15th for the group stages, you have LAFC. And it looks like the Seattle Sounders have also qualified.
Katie Nolan
Okay, shout out. I have a jersey somewhere.
Brady
International team.
Katie Nolan
Sounders jersey. Okay, so they play Chelsea when they.
Brady
Play Chelsea on 16 June, the first group stage game in footy in Atlanta at Mercedes Benz.
Katie Nolan
He hates it so much. The way his face went from like, focus on something to just immediate concern with me. Disgust. Yeah, sorry, I just. Footy. It's the footy. The foot, the footy. All right, give me another one where.
Brady
It feels like this is one where it feels like patriotism will win out. Like, if I see any of these games, I will have to root for lafc. Especially because they're the underdogs. Because MLS is the underdog league.
Katie Nolan
Right? Yeah. I'm gonna. I'm gonna look up the specifics of when Chelsea got in trouble for cheating. I'm gonna find out what that was and use it to Talk to them, because I don't. I know vaguely of it, but I don't really know how it works. And I've never been invested enough to check.
Brady
And now I spent their money inappropriately, which is a really boring thing to get in trouble for.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, well, they're cheaters, so I hope we'd stomp them out in the footy tournament. Hell yeah. Let's do another one. Did you see that? Give me like a baseball one.
Chris
Okay, let me have a look. All right, we got a baseball one from Tuesday night. From Tuesday night.
Katie Nolan
It's Tuesday.
Chris
Tuesday night. Let's have a listen.
Luis
Hey, casualties, this is Cecilia from Los Angeles. Did you see that Freddie Freeman walk off home run against the Mets. Look, Isabella, we will gladly have you on board. As a Dodger fan, I know you're still figuring out if you're a Mets fan or not, but we're glad to have you. We just had Filipino night with chicken adobo nachos. Oh, and lumpia and the UBE ice cream. And it was a great time. And Dodgers rule. Go Dodgers.
Isabella
That sounds very convincing. Chicken adobo nachos sounds amazing.
Katie Nolan
On the other hand, who's gonna say no to that?
Chris
On the other hand, Shahi sucks, so why would you want to watch that guy?
Katie Nolan
He let you down. He let you down so bad. He didn't even care that you were there. He should have known you were there. And she made sure to hit a home run for you.
Isabella
I know, but we'll see.
Katie Nolan
How are they doing, the Dodgers? What's their.
Brady
I mean, they're great.
Katie Nolan
They're good.
Brady
Leading that division. Yeah, another Dodger to like.
Katie Nolan
No.
Brady
Okay.
Isabella
Is Freddy Freeman good, Freddie?
Katie Nolan
Yes, very good.
Brady
He also has like the preeminent baseball child. Freddy's son is. Freddy's son is notorious for just showing up to games, all star games, stealing the show. Like, he is like a six year old rised up baseball boy that will go just launch dingers during pregame warm ups.
Katie Nolan
I don't think we're doing six year olds rised up. I don't think.
Brady
Have you seen Charlie Freeman, like in the setting with cameras on him? That is a rizzy 6 year old.
Katie Nolan
I don't know, I just don't think I'm just gonna take issue with rizzing under age. I think maybe he can be adorable. I think, like, I don't think we would say what was. What's Steph Curry's daughter's name that took over that press conference? Was that Riley Curry?
Brady
Yeah, that sounds Right.
Katie Nolan
I don't think we would say she was rizzing up that press conference, but she was charismatic. But she was adorable. But she was cute. She stole the show. She's not rizzy. I don't think that's. That makes my skin crawl. But that's just. Maybe that's just my personal opinion. The Dodgers are good. The Mets are doing okay this year.
Isabella
I think so. Every game I've seen, they've won. So that looks good.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, it does look good.
Chris
So they're undefeated.
Katie Nolan
Well, in Isabella's eyes. Yes.
Isabella
Yes.
Katie Nolan
And that, to me means that you are. You sound like a Mets fan to me.
Isabella
I probably will be. I really love their city connectors. I saw them wearing it when.
Katie Nolan
Gray and they're like purple.
Isabella
Yeah, it's cute. I like it.
Katie Nolan
Let me look at it again.
Chris
They do have the best record in the National League, the Mets, right now.
Katie Nolan
Oh, good for them. Yeah. That's a. That's an okay jersey. Maybe. Do you want me to get one for you if I go to the store? Okay. All right.
Isabella
Why do you have to be mean about it?
Katie Nolan
Me? How does that mean? I just offered to buy you a jersey.
Isabella
You were like, that's okay.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, because I don't love it. I don't. I don't love it. I'm not a Mets fan. You are.
Isabella
You love what you like.
Katie Nolan
You know what? Fuck you. I'm not buying you.
Isabella
Actually, Wait, no, I would buy you. Can you get it for me? Get me. Get me in a size large. I want an oversized.
Katie Nolan
Yeah, same. I'm doing an oversized too. All right, I'll get you a large.
Isabella
I actually don't have a baseball jersey.
Katie Nolan
Of any well, yet. Do we have more? Are there more?
Chris
We have one more. Did you see that?
Katie Nolan
Okay. And I'm sure it's on about a big sport that we all watch, and.
Chris
Definitely this is about a sport that we all know a whole lot about.
Katie Nolan
Katie.
Luis
Isabella Crew. Hi, this is Kelsey calling from Atlanta, Georgia. Longtime fan, first time caller, but I'm calling today with a combined nomination for your. Did you see that? And your woman of the week.
Katie Nolan
Oh, yeah.
Luis
I just got back from Emporia, Kansas, where they had the unbound gravel cycling race this weekend. Specifically, one of the races was the 50 mile race. And did you see that? Woman of the week Isabel King won the women's 50 mile race while seven months pregnant.
Katie Nolan
Oh, what?
Luis
Pretty incredible stuff. She biked 50 miles on gravel in the heat in Kansas while seven months pregnant. And then she took first place Superhuman stuff from her and so many of the other athletes at this event. There was also the XL race, which is 359 miles, and some pretty insane performances there from athletes including Heather Jackson, who was first place female in that. So incredible stuff that I didn't want you to miss. And I thought it would be cool to show is King some love for her performance this weekend. Supermom already. So check her out on Instagram. It's Kingis. And give her some kudos. Anyway, keep doing what you're doing because I love it and I need it in my life. Okay, Love you. Mean it.
Katie Nolan
Bye, Kelsey. I love you and I absolutely mean it. What a voicemail. I would have never known anything about this. 50 miles, seven months pregnant. That's two. Granted, you're on a bike, but that's like two marathons. No, I was gonna say it's like two marathons and I didn't want you to go, but she's on a bike. It. Two marathon lengths. Seven months pregnant.
Brady
I broke down all of the cardboard in my recycling this week and I was like, good job, me. You accomplished something.
Katie Nolan
This is. You couldn't catch me walk into the fridge pregnant. I would be ringing a bell. Seven months pregnant. That's. She's. I. How. What?
Isabella
That is insane.
Katie Nolan
Does the baby get a medal? I think yes.
Chris
Oh, good point.
Katie Nolan
So too, I think that baby technically won the 50 mile gravel race.
Brady
Unfair advantage because he got to use the HOV lane.
Katie Nolan
That's how she won. Yeah. She just was like, oh, there's two of us here. Crazy to watch her pass that traffic jam with her baby.
Brady
Incredible.
Katie Nolan
That's nuts. At King. Underscore is shout out. Also loving Isabelle. I know that's not Isabella, but it's close.
Isabella
Yeah. Shout out. Another Isabel. Almost Isabellish. Isabella.
Katie Nolan
Ish.
Isabella
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
And cycling and Kansas. These are all words that I don't.
Isabella
What does unbound gravel mean?
Katie Nolan
I think it's. Unbound is probably like unrighteous. Like unrivaled. It's probably like the name.
Isabella
Oh, the name of the.
Katie Nolan
It's just a guess. It's just a guess. Unbound gravel might actually be something.
Brady
No, unbound is the name of the event. It looks like it's a gravel biking event. So she's not. Apparently there's no HOV lane. She's biking on gravel, which sounds even harder.
Katie Nolan
Saying apparently there's no HOV lane is like, we all actually thought there was one. Is very funny. 359 miles. You can fuck right off. I'm there's no chance that I'm biking 359 miles. What is. I don't. Because I don't know numbers. What is 359 miles from? Like, help me understand it. Like, is that from New York City? Is that, like, you know, am I deep into Jersey? I don't know anything about numbers or space or time.
Brady
Let's Google Maps this.
Katie Nolan
How far is New York to Boston, Brady? 3.
Brady
214 miles.
Katie Nolan
214.
Brady
Stanford, Connecticut to Boston is 175 miles. So there and back. That's what she biked.
Katie Nolan
Oh, my God. So to that hotel that hangs over 95, where, you know that you're at Stanford, they have that little conference center that, like. So from wwe.
Brady
Yeah.
Katie Nolan
To Boston and back. That's crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy on a bike. Heather Jackson. Shout out Heather Jackson for doing that. How do you even get into that? That's how I felt about Michelle Wolf. I'm like, how do you even get into ultra marathoning? How do you go? Like, I'd love to put myself through that. That sounds like something I'd like to.
Brady
Put myself through, run a marathon and be like, I'm gonna keep going insane.
Katie Nolan
You know what? Not enough. Must continue. Again, not me. And I really need to. I fell off on the gym stuff, guys. I gotta keep myself honest. I told you I was going to the gym. I was so proud of myself. It's been like a cup. It's been like a week. I didn't go to the gym.
Isabella
That's fine.
Katie Nolan
Getting back on the list.
Chris
Okay. You can give yourself a week off.
Katie Nolan
I can't. Not this early in the process. You need to establish the habit before you can take a break from it, and I don't think I have. But Dan says we're gonna go on Friday, so that's how everybody wants to spend their Friday.
Chris
Cute little gym date.
Brady
Oh, you guys go to the gym together?
Katie Nolan
Yeah. Because it makes me go. He has more discipline than I do. And he'll go. And I'll go, oh, but I don't. But I don't feel good. Or I'll go like, oh, I need to do laundry, actually. Or, like, it's more important that I do this. And he's like, no, it isn't. Put your fucking shoes on. And he makes me go. Now, the downside is, like, his workout and my workout don't have a lot in common. And so I have to, like, still come up with my own stuff to do. But we go. I Mean, it's in the house. It's in our. Our building. So we just like. He makes me go. He gets me to go. He's my coach.
Isabella
Fun.
Chris
Good.
Katie Nolan
A podcaster coach. Another. That's your third argument, Isabella.
Isabella
Exactly.
Katie Nolan
Does Dan Soder not get Katie Nolan to the gym? That's your third argument. Write that one down on your post it note if you haven't ripped it up yet.
Brady
It says JJ Redick Whoopi. Does Dan Soder not get Katie Nolan to the gym?
Katie Nolan
Yeah.
Brady
Gotta remember the context on those.
Isabella
Oh, no, I just put. Now it says JJ Redick Whoopee ds.
Katie Nolan
I love it. That's perfect. You're gonna find that later and go, what the hell was this?
Isabella
I know this is. I'm gonna find this, like five years from now.
Katie Nolan
What was I talking about?
Isabella
Is this a password to my Nintendo ds?
Brady
Whoopee.
Katie Nolan
Was I happy about something? All right, thank you to everybody who called in and asked if we saw that. Keep that going. I actually really love that because that's fun. A lot of that I didn't see. And I love that we saw it. And now that's gonna take shape. I think that segment will take better shape the more we do it. He's gotta try stuff. Guys, it's only episode 40 of Casuals here. Okay? So we're still figuring everything out. Can you believe it's been 40 episodes? Not me. I can't believe it. I can't believe.
Chris
Gone quick.
Katie Nolan
I can't believe it one bit. But here we are. And that's it. The 40th is in the books. So I must tell you that if you'd like to email us that's Casual withth. Katie Nolan. Gmail.com if you want to leave us a voicemail for any reason about anything. 646-801-43. Well, not anything. I should probably. I don't think you should. Don't leave me a voicemail about my car's extended warranty. We won't be playing that and I'm not interested. I don't have a car on IG and TikTok. We are at casualsthepodcast. Casualties. Thank you for this. This was fun. We will see you all next week on Tuesday. Bye. Love you. Mean it.
