And I don't want anybody to feel like, you know, when you're in a relationship and everybody loves your relationship, and then, like, you start to not like your relationship, and you're like, but if I break up, everyone's going to be mad at me. I just want to make sure sue and Megan don't feel like we're mad at them. You should. Obviously, if it's not working out, you got to get out of your relationship. Okay. But I did want to leave some space here for the morning that I feel like I'm in. Not only because I loved them so much as a couple. They've been together for what, 10, about 10 years?

But also for the fact that that was a long engagement. It's a bummer for me anytime one of us goes down. And so it lit a big fire under my ass this weekend, and it made me go like, okay, we gotta get this thing in the books, because I don't want this to become another statistic. It tends to happen to the long engagements, and I saw a lot of people.

I mean, the fire was lit. I mean, were there any steps taken?

I have no. I got no idea. But I'm going to Chicago for something and my sister in law, that's where my brother and sister in law live. And she was like, you know, let's get you in some dresses.

I was like, okay, my body's not ready. But so now I gotta like, I guess come up with a date. Cause I feel like don't you have to give them a date for them to let you try stuff on? I don't know, dude. I'll take a lot of pictures and I'll just send them to you. Isabella. I'll just spam the group chat that we had to kick Chris out of because his Android was making. Making it so we couldn't send media to each other. So Chris, I guess I'll just text you on the side. Maybe put me in a group chat with like you and your wife. I'll email you all my wedding dress photos. But anyway, shout out to Megan and Sue. Also, what further complicates breaking up a beloved couple is that they have a podcast together. Or I guess I should say had a podcast together.

They've clearly been thinking about this. It's as close to a divorce in terms of the splitting up of stuff that they have together as you can get without being one. And so they put out a statement. couple and we have shared so much of our life, so much of our relationship with you. So that's why we wanted to come on here and share this too. These past 10 years have given us so much and, and launching this podcast

When two idols in the women's sports space break up. I mean, what a power couple. And we're saying goodbye to them. They started dating in 2017. They met backstage at a photo shoot for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Rapinoe came out publicly in 2012. Sue came out in 2017 when she announced her relationship with Megan. So a bummer. I saw a lot of people being like, check on Lauren Betts. I also saw someone say, blame Lauren Betts because they were asked on the red carpet for the draft who their favorite WNBA couples were. And Lauren, Beth said, sue and Pino,

Speaking of on Friday and was like, should I text Katie? He's like, there's no chance in hell I'm seeing this before.

I think I just tweeted. No, I tweeted. No, I got a text from somebody. I think it was my friend Andrea that just said oh. And I responded and said, oh. What? Oh.

What?

What are you talking about? And then I opened any website and refreshed it and was like, no, no.

[Brady]

Okay. And everybody has that. Like when someone says if you just get a text that says oh, is that immediately we thought like, this is what someone's going to text me.

[Katie Nolan]

Well, no, that's just how. It's just how I. She. We communicate. That made sense.

[Brady]

That's ominous as hell. That's.

[Isabella]

Every friendship has a different language.

[Katie Nolan]

Oh, yeah. That's how we speak to each other. Why don't you mind for the second time today, why don't you mind your business? Okay. Butt out. I'm kidding. Okay. While we're talking about WNBA couples, the Dallas Paige and a situation complicated itself, I guess since we last spoke about it. Obviously a FUD was drafted with the first pick in the WNBA draft this year. That pick was held by the Dallas Wings, which is where Paige Beckers went with the first pick of last year's draft. They are being reunited. They announced that they are dating. When was that? Two years ago? A year ago? I don't remember at this point. I think it was a year. Over the summer. Yeah. Time. And I don't really get along. I have our time keeping track. But so they recently. I guess within the scope of the world, they've recently announced that they were dating. And. And since AZ joined last week, what we talked about was that people were being weird about like, whoa, couples together. Like Paige must have told them they have to draft AZ or like, well, they're not gonna. It's not gonna work. You can't play with the person that you date not realizing that, like, this isn't uncommon in the W. This is something that women's leagues have dealt with for a while.

And also they've played together before very

successfully, famously, as we all know. And so it was. I, I think all I said last week was that, like, stop being weird about it. But things got weirder. So during AZ's first. I think this was her first, like, introductory press conference with Dallas. This. I think we have the audio of it. This is what happened.

[Brady]

Paige announced last year on Tick Tock that y' all were a couple. And I'm wondering if that is still the case and if so, if y' all have talked to any other couples in the league about how they negotiate that dynamic as pro teammates.

[Katie Nolan]

I understand why you have to ask that question, but we're going to respectfully decide.

[Isabella]

Okay, so listen, I think if we were dealing with this in like a bubble, I would say I don't. The question doesn't bother me. The, the stepping in of Dallas seems strange if you aren't probably as deep in the discussion as the Dallas PR or communications team is. And it feels like the discourse online around this was getting really heated. And as with any discussion about a. An LGBTQ couple, it had the ability to maybe get hateful in the discussion of it online. And so I think this was if, if I'm giving it a generous reading. This is the Dallas comms team trying to get ahead of this becoming the only storyline for a number of reasons. Right. Like, you don't want an incredibly talented athlete to get drafted and the questions are about, you know, her relationship status. At the same time, I feel like they did more damage than they needed to here. I feel like AZ is an adult. AZ is familiar with the way the world works. And AZ for sure knew she'd be getting asked a question like this. I. I say just let her answer it and let her answer it if she wants to say, like, hey, we don't want this to be the only thing we ever talk about when it comes to, like, I just got drafted into the W and I love Paige and like, hopefully Paige and I are together forever. I don't know, but, like, this isn't. I'd rather us focus on the rest of it, if that's ok. I, I love how every. How excited everybody is about our relationship and we definitely feel the support. And, and yeah, we've talked to a couple of our friends who have dated within the league and I think we've Got a good head on our shoulders. We're here for the basketball, and we're ready to get out there and win. Boom. Done. It's put to rest. The people who were going to talk anyway are still going to talk. Try as they might. None of us can find a way to get those people to shut up. But it wouldn't have turned into this big thing because I saw some people feeling the need to, if they wanted to defend Paige and Az, to go like, you should never have asked that question. How dare you ask her that question? And I just don't know that I can go that hard at that journalist. It seemed the question was asked respectfully, and it didn't seem like he was like, you guys date. How can you date when you're both girls? It wasn't like a question that was immediately offensive on its face, But I am willing to accept that I may be wrong. I don't know if anybody had a dissenting opinion on that.

[Brady]

I think what they ended up doing was just making it feel like his question was, like, too gay to ask. Like, it made it feel like they were treating their relationship as if it was taboo again, like they were. It was something you're not supposed to talk about. You know, like, why do you make this. It's something public about that. Like, no one is. Everybody's respectfully saying, like, this is a new dynamic for teammates of this level that we want to know. Like, have you gotten advice? And you're treating like, no, we can't talk about this. This where it doesn't feel like that's the same reaction. If this is a man and a woman, if this is not a. Not a. If this is not a gay couple, like, is this an issue that we're treating in the same way? And maybe that's a bit of a straw man, but it feels like they made it sound like this is too icky for us to want to address in this press conference.

Yeah. And I. I certainly don't think that's what they meant to do. And I just think they should. I don't know. It's tricky. And I also, as an ally but an outsider to the community, I would like to leave space for, like, I could be. I don't want my opinion to be the dominant one here. If. If those community are like, we don't want them to talk about it, then I'm. Let me back out. You know what I'm saying? But to me, it was like, Az

and Paige specifically don't want it to be spoken about.

Then that's different as well.

I also wanted to clarify who was the person that spoke up about saying,

I think that was probably the press, like the PR person for the team. That wasn't az. It wasn't obviously, Paige, but it was. I think it was like a press lady.

I always say give a guy your ring size the second you start dating and he should tell you. But it's basically Amanda was married to Kyle who's also on the show for like most of the show. I think they got married during one of the seasons at one point. So they have just always been the. The Constant couple on the show. But over the last few seasons, it's been kind of obvious that they're in different places in their. So they finally divorce, and everybody's like, whoa, she's free. Because Kyle wanted to be a d. Wants to be a DJ real bad. And there was just like, really embarrassing clips of, like. Well, kinda. Right. Like, it was just clips of Amanda standing at his DJ sets while he was like. Just like, you know, it was just embarrassing. Everybody was rooting. Yes. For her to get out of it, and then she did. So that was one thing that happened at the same time. So, like, going back a little bit a couple seasons ago, west joins the cast. Sierra joins the cast. And when Sierra joins the cast, this is also kind of important to note. She was the first black cast mate. I want to say it was like, one of the fourth, maybe season that she joined. And for a while, she was, like, the only black castmate on this show. And the premise of the show is they all share a house in the Hamptons for the summer. I think it originally started, like, a couple of them worked together, but by maybe the third season, they had sort of abandoned that. It was just people who would go on the weekends or whatever to the summer.

This morning he was like, is this just the real world but different?

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah, it's the real world, but less real. And they didn't have to live together, and I think they would still be going back to work during the weekdays. So it was whatever. Sierra and west start kind of dating. They're like, on again, off again. Will they? Won't they? They're always, you know that. So when Amanda and Kyle break up, suddenly there's these rumors that Amanda and West might be hooking up. And the people are like, that would never happen. Amanda is really good friends with s. Kyle and west are really good friends. This would be way messy. Amanda would completely be squandering all the good public will that she has right now after finally freeing herself from a marriage that wasn't making her better or enriching her. This would be so dumb. And then, like, around April fool's day, they came out with a joint statement and announced that, yes, they are basically kind of dating, and they're aware that it's really touchy and they just want people to respect their privacy. And so everybody was like, what? They're dating? Like, west doesn't give, like, stable boyfriend. He's like, yeah, in the streets. You know, he is out there all the time. And so now in recent days, the two of Them have been, like, spotted out at bars and stuff together. The reason for all of this, the reason I bring this up is because they were spotted. I think it was this weekend at a Yankees game together. This is where it becomes sports. They show the two of them on the broadcast, which is like, what? They aren't probably aware of it. And somebody did a lip reading of what Amanda is saying. They kiss, right? The two of them kiss. We see them kiss, which we haven't seen before. I don't know who at yes Network is in on the drama that they somehow knew to zoom in on these two and show them.

But we get them kissing. And. And I will say the body language.

Someone's in the booth is like, grab the lip reader.

The body language after the kiss is like, they kiss and then look away from each other. Which I don't know. I'm not saying anything. I'm just saying. And then lip readers say that. She says, act like you like me. Which is tough.

Then we see another video from behind them. West is there supporting the Royals. They were playing the Yankees, were playing the Royals. And he must be a Royals fan. Again, this man. Details about him. They don't stay up in my brain. They flee. It's like a Paul brother. I don't know. I can't.

He just loves the Pasquatch, that's all.

Just loves him. Savvy. He's a big Team Italy fan, so he is rooting for the away team. Isabella, you can relate to that. You were at the Mets game with the Dodgers. He's got the. I think he had a jersey or a shirt on. He was repping Kansas City and he was, like, standing up and loudly cheering. Obviously, in a sea of Yankees fans who were sitting down, every time the Royals would do something good, we get footage of. And you've watched this now, because I showed it to you, of him, like, standing up and rooting for the Royals. He's high fiving some other Royals fans who must be in his section. Amanda is sitting next to him. She has not gotten up. And at one point she starts, like, tugging on his panther.

Oh, my God. I know. And it's not even like a low tug like she grabs his waistband to

be like, time to sit down.

And I just wanted to. It felt like a good discussion about, like, I think we've asked before with Jared Freed. We talked about, like, is it cringe to love? Is it embarrassing to love sports? She does seem a little embarrassed. Do you think she's justified in feeling that way. I kind of though, but kind of. He is. He's kind of being obnoxious.

He's the only one standing there like,

that we can see in the frame energy. It does look like he's high fiving one other person who might be standing out of. Just out of frame, but he is the only one standing in the video that we can see. Logan, One of the Pauls. He put him through a table. But then I also saw Jelly roll puts Pat McAfee through a table. And I'm like, how many Times we gonna run back the putting guy through table thing.

Well, they've built it so it just, it collapses now. You see it gets knocked down. Then they immediately are just putting it right back up into pieces.

I think people were really down on, like, why are you here? And they were, they were bummed about the fact that he was involved in the story, and they just had Jelly Roll, like, beat him up before the match even started. So it's like, all right, cool. At least, like, we can get this over with. We can not have Jelly Roll and Pat McAfee involved in the match. And then the master's still confusing and weird.

And then didn't he come back and get RKO'd?

[Brady]

McAfee came back with a neck brace on in a referee shirt. When the referee got knocked out, they called a ref bump. He came, he ran in to replace the referee. Because the way it works in wrestling is that if a referee gets knocked out, anybody who puts on a striped shirt basically can run in and now be the referee. McAfee came in, referee shirt on, and then still got knocked out again.

[Brady]

Then there was pictures of McAfee, like, wore like the referee shirt and the neck brace out the rest of the night. Like he was at a 50 Cent concert with Tyrese Halliburton.

That's so funny. That's so funny. I learned, I learned what? That what people who don't like Jelly Roll call him on the Internet. And I didn't, I didn't realize it. And, and I saw. And I was like, who are they talking about? Smelly hole. Who's smelly Hole?

And then I was like, oh, night two was great.

So night two was great. They. The matches kind of picked up. They. They seemed like they moved faster. It was the same amount of wrestling, but in a shorter show. It. It started off with. So it was like Brock Lesnar had the opening match against, like, a younger Brock Lesnar named Obafemi, which is like two big 300 pound guys.

[Isabella]

Brock Lesnar, he got beat and then it was like, kind of sweet. He did the ceremonial set up, took his boots off in the middle of the ring and left him there, which is like the indicator. It's a traditionally. Like, it's what you do when you retire. So you get a big round of applause and it's kind of a moment of like his send off.

Dan will like that. I think Dan's watching the whole thing on delay. I don't know if you watched this yet, but he was. I think he was into this obafemi match.

Yeah. Like former shot putter at Alabama. He's like a two time SEC shot put champion. The guy is just massive.

What about trying not to find out any of the results and watch it as if it was live or can he.

No, I think it's that. I think that one. Because he had shows this weekend. He was in like all different places. I don't remember.

He probably. Yeah. And wouldn't that be the best for all of us? I wish there was something preventing me from opening that app. When he goes. Sometimes when he goes on the long ones. He didn't get back until today. He was walking in as I was walking out, which is the worst. I'm like, I'd rather just see you after work. I'm so watching him and Myrtle, like get back in bed.

But when he's gone for like that many days, it gets. Gets dark. I get screen time notifications on that Sunday of them going, are you okay? Put this thing down, please.

This is why it's a good thing, by the way. What you should do is put like a screen, like a widget on your home page that keeps you updated with how long you've been staring at your screen through it.

It's. It doesn't really. I get the push notification, it goes, what your average was this week. And I go, that's pretty bad.

I set up a. Not going to do anything where it's like, oh, you're done with your screen time on this app. Next. Continue.

Yeah, it's like. And then I'll. And then I'm the mommy too. I'm the. I'm the baby, but I'm also the mommy, so I'm gonna blow right through that. Or I'll always. I'll find a justification. I'm too smart for that stuff. I'll go like, I need to for work. What am I not gonna know what happened in WrestleMania Night 2? And then like an hour later I'll come into consciousness like deep in a Reddit thread about Amanda Batula on a show I don't even watch. And I'm like, what was I doing? I thought I was. I was looking I was supposed to order dinner and inst. Just got. I got sucked in by an algo and I'm just like, got to know more. I don't like, I don't have to know more.

I got like daily KPIs. I have to hit with like my screen time. And then like, I. I'm generally pretty good with it. So that at the end of the

week I'm like social media. So you're not sick in the head, like, you've already solved the problem.

but you stayed off. The issue is that these things are so like, scientifically made to like, grab your attention and then either piss you off or. Or mobilize you towards action, make you feel like you've got to do something. It plays into every human instinct you have that you're like, I can't put this down. People are dying. And it's like. But you don't ever go like, they're not gonna not die if you put your phone. You have to do something that isn't this.

You know, once my algorithm found out this weekend that I was angry that Marvel was re releasing Endgame with new scenes.

Wait, why are they doing. They're doing that and then they're also. Aren't they making like another. What everyone's calling like another end game where it's just they're all coming together and what's his face? Robert Downey Jr. Is playing Dr. Doom, which is already pretty confusing for anybody that knows him as Iron Man. But, like, that's. Why would they then also re release Big Breath.

[Brady]

All right, so Doomsday is coming out in December as what they're calling like a direct sequel to Endgame because that was their biggest success. And then everything has kind of flopped since then. So they're like, all right, taking a big swing, bringing back Downey as Doom and not Iron man. And they're re releasing Endgame first. So it's like, hey, remember Endgame?

Okay? Remember the movie we're about to copy?

But here's the thing, they're adding scenes to it.

You can't fuck with the movie like that.

You can't. Especially not right before you bring out a movie that's basically running it back, just put those scenes in the run it back movie.

So it's not like even like they said, they're adding deleted scene scenes from before. What they said is they're adding new scenes.

Yeah, it's a new movie. It also is you covering your track that you're like, if that was going to be a storyline in this movie, they should have planted the seed in. In that movie. And then they go, well, we're gonna retroactively plant that seed. And it's like, that's not how it works. That sucks. We can't spend any more time on it. But I will say thank you for speaking your truth. And that does suck. But I'm sure we've now activated. Do people any. Does anybody like it? Is anybody in support of it?

So this was like the. The. When you talk about, like, WrestleMania was a cash grab for TKO and WWE. They had. They said, we're introducing a guest commentator for this match. And they showed this third guy at the death that no one had ever heard of. He had a headset, but they didn't give him a microphone.

Oh, it's the not plugged in game controller.

It was the not plugged in controller. He just. He very clearly paid a guy.

I was gonna say, did he pay.

The problem is the last time it was one night, it was five hours long.

Okay, I think it was Friday. That or maybe Thursday. Isabella and I, you know, because we see each other at fan service. And so all that stuff that happens in those days that we don't usually get to this show and talk about because they're over by then. But I did want to put this on everybody's radar because Isabelle and I were going nuts for this guy, Jordan Lucas, who is a college basketball. I mean, basketball. College volleyball player. He plays for Cal State University Northridge. And. And he just went viral. There was a clip of him basically taunting his competition. He's out, he's gay. And he was doing so in just the most, like, flavorful way, the way that he would tell the other team, like, and that's on, period. He was just like, and we're done here. Or he'd be like, goodbye. There was like a lot of phantom hair flipping.

There was a lot of his ass out. Yeah. There's a lot of, like the one where he, like crosses his feet and like looks at them and sticks his butt out and is like.

Just mugging at this team in a way that, I don't know, it was just so refreshing to see in sports. Just like a guy who just knows exactly who he is and just is. Is that bitch, like in the middle of a match. I don't know why it just like.

Yes. Being incredible at volleyball and also that. And so I think the reason that it went viral is. Was kind of in response to a not as positive interaction that he had, I think in one of their games last week. It was during a match against UC Irvine where I guess a commentator who was a. Not. Weren't they like a stand in? They were like a. They're not like the usual commentator, I don't think.

I still don't understand the logic of podcast groups, but let's not get sidetracked. She, like, took Alex Earl's. She gave her a podcast under her unwell podcast thing. And that was called. What was Alex Earl's podcast called? Hot Mess, I believe, with Alex Earl. And then that went away, and Alex Earl sort of seemed like there was a reason she couldn't keep making the podcast, which then Alex Cooper came out and said, that's got nothing to do with me. I've seen your comments. I gave her her ip, so it has nothing to do with me. Leave me out of this. That was, like, years ago, maybe a year or two ago. And then Alex Cooper's company, whatever. Alex Earl reposted recently. Something critical of Alex Cooper shouldn't say anything. She just reposted something. And then Alex Cooper, right after Coachella came out and said, hey, Alex Earl. Like, two camera. Yeah, hey, Alex Earl. I see the passive aggressive likes and reposts. There's no NDA. If you got something to say, why don't you come out and say it? Let's just. Let's be adults. I know what happened. You know what happened. If you have something to say, I'd like you to share it with the class. Class. And everybody was like, oh, my God, it's finally gonna happen. Alex. We haven't really heard from Alex.

And Alex Earl commented on that.

Alex Earl commented on that video and said, like, on it? Or like, on it, girl, I don't want to misquote her. And it was right after Coachella and she. We got video of Alex Earl being woken up by her friends at the house of Coachella, and people going like, hey, we've got something to show you. And we have footage of her watching Alex Cooper's video for the first time on Instagram in bed as she's waking up from a hungover night of Coachella. The footage cuts when Alex Cooper says Alex Earl. Like, we do not see her react to that. And I've seen a lot of people saying that Alex Earl has a reality show she's working on. That's why those cameras are there. That's why she's being filmed in that moment in portrait instead of or in landscape instead of portrait. Whichever one is the. She's being filmed, like, sideways, which is what you do for tv. And so it feels like all of this is just going to boil down to Alex holding on to what she has to say until her reality show. And I can't recommend that less she's got to say. I was giving her the weekend to come out and say something. I feel like, what are the rules in a rap beef? God, I'm asking the wrong people. But I feel like if somebody puts out a diss track, you can't be like, give me three months, months, and then I'll be back 48 hours. Yeah.

Right. So you've got it. I thought over the weekend she would come out with something, and instead she posted a video of her. It's there. It's more of the, like, passive aggressive, which just makes me go, like, all right, if this whole thing is a work, I'm not participating in this. This is like the. The Pamela Anderson Liam Neeson romance, where I was like, got. I was like, is this for real? And they were like, we swear it's for real. For real. And then I was like, oh, my God, it's for real. And then at the end of the movie promo, they were like, it wasn't real. Silly. And I'm like, well, then what is this? I'm not doing that again. Yeah.

It's also like, I don't care that much exact how many weeks for your side of the story on reality.

And so, unfortunately, whoever's right or wrong, Cooper's going to win this definitively if Earl doesn't come out soon and actually say something. Yeah, those are my thoughts. Weekend two of Coachella, I feel like they brought out a lot more guest star stars. I feel like if I went to weekend one of Coachella, I'd be a little upset.

It's not cool. I mean, we saw Madonna come out for Sabrina.

And they did, like, a prayer. The crowd was not it for me.

No. They were way, like, underwhelming. I just. I was watching a clip, and I was like, as soon as they have the. The intro music to Vogue, I was like, oh, my God. And then, like, literally the clip of it, I'm like, Like, silence. You could hear, like, three people, like, whoa.

Yeah. It wasn't the pop that I was sort of hoping for and expecting. And I will say, I think we all do this thing where when we're not at an event, we go like, look at Everybody filming. Get out of your phones, guys. And then when you're at the event, you're like, it's Madonna. I have to record that. I saw this live. Like, we do this weird thing when you're not. Yeah, I think that, like, I just think I didn't see enough people. Every shot I saw of the crowd, and I know it was just based on whatever was getting put in my feed and yada yada, algorithm, yada, yada, but I feel like a lot of the crowd shots were just people that looked bored or like NPCs. They just looked like they were like. And I can imagine if I were an artist going up to the stage and just being like, hello, Is anybody, like, interacting with me without a machine between them. Us. It was just like a. I don't know, kind of a weird vibe.

That's like the OG way to do it is you just have, like, that terrible shower in a tent and like, the. Whatever. Apparently it was windy and it blew these. I mean, it was scary looking. You should go look up the video if you haven't seen it. But it just seems like tents getting whipped around in the air with their, like. Yeah, Terrifying spiky things coming out the bottom. Which reminded me of. There was a clip from PNC park this weekend when the Pirates played. It was also very windy. And one of those umbrellas that goes, like, in between a table, like a big umbrella for a patio. Must have become unmoored. And it's flying through this section where people are, like, hiding. I thought somebody was gonna die.

It was very scary. Those things should be, like, bolted down.

I always get scared when I'm at the beach and, like, your umbrella starts to, like, move out of the town.

You're like, that would be my final destination. That would be like, the way. It would be like, oh, she got impaled by a beach umbrella. It's like, oh, yuck. What a way to go. Okay, so that was. That segment was called stuff that was viral this weekend.

We gotta talk Stanley cup playoffs. We gotta talk the best postseason inspired sports. We have to talk about the NHL postseason. It kicked off. Puck dropped. It slid off. It skated off. This weekend, as all these teams faced off, we've got a couple of matchups to highlight here in this first round. First of all, we've talked about this before. The battle for Phil, the battle for Pennsylvania between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. An exciting matchup for us. Where we are. This is where things are going to get complicated. But we can only speak to where we are. The Flyers are up one game on the Penguins. They won on the road. The story for me from this game was the Florence and the Machine of it all. Did you guys see this headline?

So Florence and the Machine had to move a couple of their concerts so far because of various postseasons. So they had to move in Boston. They had to move their show that was supposed to be Sunday night to Monday night because of the Celtics. And then they announced this weekend that if you had tickets to their Philly show, that show has to move. The original date for the show is the 25th. So that would be this upcoming Friday. Yeah. And that's the Flyers. The Flyers have a game that day. And so they moved the show. They kept it the same night. They moved it to Atlantic City, which I think is like 62 miles, something like that, from. From anything from Philadelphia. So it's like, not crazy far away, but it is technically in a different city. Yeah, a different state, a different venue. They said you'll be refunded for your tickets that you bought for Philly. And if you want to go to Jersey City or Atlantic City, you have to buy. They were going to leave, like, an exclusive window for those people to buy tickets. And then once that window closed, the tickets would open back up to everybody. And so Florence and the Machine fans were pretty pissed. And I. I do get it. That feels like a messy. This is something we see every post season, that these events are going to have to move and change. Because most of most, is it not all that these teams that play in these arenas, the arenas are basically owned and operated by the team, and so it's their home. They basically get the first right to the venue. They profit off of allowing, you know, Florence and the Machine to do her show there, but it's given to them under the guise of, like, if we make it into a postseason, these are the dates that would have to move. We See this every year, but I've never. I don't think seen. And just maybe because I haven't seen it. I'm not saying it's ever happened. Happened, but I've never seen them move the show to the same day, but a different venue in a different state and be like, figure it out.

That sucks.

That does suck. They should.

I would hope they at least provide some type of, like, public transit.

I don't know. It's kind of a lot. But a casualty of this. Something I didn't like about this is that it became Florence and the Machine fans who are women. I'm doing air quotes against sports fans, quote, who are men. And it became very like, I hate sports. Why do men think they can ruin everything? And I just want to remind people and caution them. I know you're frustrated. I know you're angry. I know you're just lashing out. But there are women who love sports, and sports are for everybody. So let's not turn this into. And also, there are men who love Florence in the Machine. I would say Dan's got more Florence in the Machine on his. I would say ipod, but it's obviously just his phone. But it feels weird saying on his phone. Whatever. Dan's got more Florence in the Machine in his repertoire than I do. So it's like a. There are people in both. And it just felt Very. It went. It quickly devolved into like sports ball ball. You know, where they go like, oh, I hate sports ball. And you're like, okay, here we go with this. It's not sports ball's fault where there's just. There's both. Everybody is fans of everything, so we didn't have to. Anyway, so that I thought was interesting. It really popped off on Twitter. They really all were going into it. Flyers fans vs. Florence and the Machine fans. Okay. The Boston Buffalo series. That didn't. Those games. They postponed that, right? They're not going to play those anymore. That game didn't happen, right? That game that the fucking Bruins decided to be leading the whole game to nothing. And then you just. At the end, I think there was like six minutes and 46 seconds. They scored four goals. Are you guys fucking kidding me? In six minutes and thanks, Isabella. In six minutes and 46 seconds, you let them score four goals.

It's like Wyatt Russell just chugged one and ran off into like the frozen lake. When the Sabers made the playoffs, right?

And it's. They sold out of them. But they were a sword that you could basically chug a beer. It's sick. It's cool. They ran out of them before the. The season was even over. And so clearly in the postseason, everybody's like, oh, we need to get a. We need some sort of a sword shaped something. Well, a bakery has taken up that mantle and baked a gigantic saber shaped pretzel.

Unfortunately, it takes the shape, a pretty recognizable shape, an outline, we're all familiar with doodling at one point or another of a, you know, long sword. And then a little bunch at the end where. It's where you hold onto the sword. And so it looked like a penis and balls. Okay. And it's a big dick pretzel. Isabella, do you like it?

There's not really much else you can do except go like the manager seems to not be able to get it. I know.

Okay, we're still doing. Who had the worst week in baseball. So the first option is the Mets. Second option is this one ump. Holy cow. So the Tigers played the Royals at Comerica park on Thursday, and the game was paused for about 10 minutes. There was a delay in the game. Come to find out that the home plate umpire, Andy Fletcher, had been battling an illness throughout the day. And with two on and nobody out in the top of the seventh inning, Fletcher abruptly left the field. And there were three umpires for the rest of the game. He had left the field earlier in the game between innings, causing a brief delay. That's what I meant. And then he returned to the game. At the top of the third inning, he. I think we. So I saw somebody tweet, this is the first time I've been to a baseball game that was delayed by ump having diarrhea. Ooh, Umperia. Gotta be. Gotta be the worst possible situation to find yourself. It's not like you're a player. It's not like you're who they paid to see, and you're like, it. This is such an emergency that I have to put this game on hold while I go pee out of my butthole in the clubhouse. I can't imagine having to come back out and be in like, hello. And then finally in the seventh inning, going like, I got to go. Somebody else do this. I can't possibly. But good for you for trying to play through it.

And then the ball goes loose. 3 runs score on play, what should have been a, like, pretty easy double play, and the Nationals ended up winning in extra innings. 87. It's just a brutal. Just brutal for, like the. The hope. The young hope of your franchise right after that big headline. You make a play like that, and then I just, of course, irrational sports fans going like, this guy sucks. We paid him way too much money. Get him off of my team. It's tough.

That's a tough one. Well, no, a bum was the last story. This is different than that. Okay, so it's the Mets, that ump, Connor Griffin, or our final option for who had the worst week in baseball. St. Thomas, my promise in Minnesota. It's a Minnesotan. It's a Minnesotan team. They. This was Saturday. This was the eighth longest baseball game in Division 1 baseball history. They were in the 21st inning. We're in the bottom of the 21st innings. How. How many extra innings does that mean? There have been that 12. Geez Louise. We are in a. We have already had played two full games and then some. The bottom of the 21st inning, Northern Colorado walks it off. The bases were loaded, the pitcher balked. Oh, and so the run scored on a walk off Bach.

[Isabella]

I just learned what that was.

[Katie Nolan]

So did most. I'm constantly learning what it is and if you ask me to identify it, I can't. And that is true for a lot of baseball. I would say most baseball fans I've interacted with, other than the ones who want to perform that, they know it and it's because they studied it and they feel box are very hard to spot. But it's basically Brady, what's the soft, the quickest way to sum up what it is?

[Brady]

It's basically anytime the pitcher is trying to deceive the batter by altering. There are ways you can alter your delivery, but you basically can't like start your pitching motion and then stop it or you can't like fake that you're going to go to home plate and throw to third base. But really it's subjective to the umpire, like whether it feels like it's deceptive.

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah. It can be a such a small thing that like it's like a shifting of the weight or a turning of the hips or something that they judge has deceived the batter. And so therefore they give them a walk which then walk. Basically walk in the run.

[Brady]

And poor, poor Nolan Camp here. Like the umpire said, he just twitched his shoulder. Like he just flinched his shoulder and didn't start his pitching move. And that was the end of a 21 inning game.

[Katie Nolan]

I mean, that's just an ump who's going to have. Who has to poop?

[Isabella]

I was going to say maybe he's just tired.

[Katie Nolan]

That's an ump who's like 21 innings. You guys have been holding it in since the 13th. Can we maybe wrap this up? I've got shows to watch. 21 innings to end on a ball,

Crazy. That's absolutely insane. Really crazy. So those are. Who do you think Isabella had the worst week in baseball?

Honestly, I'm going to give it to that umpire. Poop.

Had to poop. You know, the ump had to poop.

[Brady]

I'm going to say only one of them's at risk of getting fired. I'm going to say Carlos Mendoza is having the worst week in baseball.

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah. Yeah. I mean the Mets were the option, so it's almost not fair to say. But yeah, he's probably gonna go. He's doing a really good job with. Imagine if Tony Vitello were on the hot seat all the things he'd say. At least Mendoza is going like, I get it. You guys have to ask these questions. But I'm going to say I'm not focused on that. I want us to win. I know we can win that kind of stuff.

[Brady]

But Tony missed a challenge yesterday, just the Reds. I think left fielder just dove, dropped the ball. It just rolled on the ground under him. He picked it up, said they called him out, and Tony's like, all right, guess my team's out.

[Katie Nolan]

Damn.

[Brady]

I mean, that's not like mentioning Kanye, but still, you know, Tony just keeps popping up for the wrong reasons.

[Katie Nolan]

I know, I know. Go Vitello it on the mountain. Maybe he'll give us one to do later in the week. Oh, for sure, for sure. He's. He can't avoid it. Okay, I think that's it, right?

That's it. So we're going to take a break. It's not it. I mean, Chris is going to tell us what to watch. Okay, we're back. I know I said we're really not talking about the NBA postseason as much. Part of that's my bias. Part of it is that the first round of the NBA playoffs for me really don't do much. But there was one that stood out that I was like we should make sure we mention this. And I should have thought of this. Chris is brilliant. Of course you're tossing it in the what to Watch if we want to watch sports this week, what is our favorite first option?

[Chris]

Chris, our first option, as you said, NBA playoffs. It's a game that'll be on Wednesday. It's the Magic at Pistons, game number two. Every single series this week went chalk except for one. And that was when the eight seeded Orlando Magic beat the number one seed Detroit Pistons in the east seven of the yeah, that's what I just said before they won 112 to 101. All five of their starters scored 16 plus points. Magic looks really good. There were a team heading into the season that I thought could actually do some damage. I sort of tipped them to be top three, top four in the east. So they sort of underperformed in the regular season, but they are a team that can do some damage. But the Pistons have been looking so good this season that we thought it would still be, you know, a pretty one sided affair. But man, if, if Magic can, can get a win in Game 2, that's going to go a long way of wrapping up that series because teams leading it 20 in the series in NBA history win roughly 93% of the time. So essentially, if you start a series 2 0, you're gonna win.

[Katie Nolan]

Cade Cunningham can't do it all, you know, you gotta help him out.

[Isabella]

That guy's good.

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah, he is really good. What did we say in terms of magic versus what is a piston again? An engine.

[Brady]

Yeah. It's firing mechanism within a combustion engine.

NFL Draft first round this Thursday night, April 23rd at 8:00pm Eastern on ABC.

Yeah. Okay, I know that you're probably guessing it's not sports. Sports. It's like the business of sports. It's like the making of future sports. I want to watch sports. I want to watch boys bumping into boys.

[Chris]

I want to watch you get that in the draw.

[Katie Nolan]

I want to watch. I don't want to, I don't want to see Roger Goodell's face.

[Brady]

You get Roger Goodell getting booed. You get big meaty men picking him up and jostling him on the stage while wearing big rhinestone shoes. And this is a good lining.

[Katie Nolan]

This is a good spot to mention the big trade that happened this weekend. That again, I don't care about, about what happened with all that. With the number 10 pick.

[Brady]

The Bengals traded the number 10 pick to the Giants. The Giants send defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence to the Bengals. Okay, Dexter Lawrence wanted out. The Giants wanted to get younger, kind of reset the things. Now they have the number five and number ten pick.

[Katie Nolan]

Okay, that's big for them.

[Brady]

Could over help pretty overhaul pretty well. Also, like when you have 5 and 10, you can like make the fun pick and still get the thing you need. So they might go take Jeremiah. Love the big. The like lightning fast, explosive running back from Notre dame.

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah, totally.

[Brady]

ESPN's during five different broadcasts of the NFL draft.

[Katie Nolan]

It's a Bit of rolling your eyes. Wait, what are the different broadcasts?

[Brady]

They have the ESPN primary broadcast. They're doing another one on ABC that I think is more for, like, the casual fan. There's an NFL Network broadcast which is still being produced by.

[Katie Nolan]

By espn, because those are the same company now.

[Brady]

There's a Pat McAfee alt cast because we need that. And then there's a Spanish broadcast, five full broadcasts from espn.

[Isabella]

Wow.

[Katie Nolan]

Damn. I mean, I'm not mad at the Spanish broadcast. That makes sense. We should have that. That. That. I'm not going to watch it. Listen, as a Pats fan, I know it's different now, but, like, I've been conditioned to go. Like, this doesn't matter. We never picked in the first round. We always traded that away. So I just am like, I can't. I don't. There's too much sports going on. I can get updated on who got drafted by just, like, just a list. The only thing that I like about the draft is they do an incredible job of pulling footage on every one of these names and having that ready to go and to play as soon as a name is called. Like, some of the names, they basically know when they're gonna go, but you don't always know. And so having that ready to go and having talking points is, from a production standpoint, incredible. But the actual. I don't. I just don't. Where is it? Is it in Detroit?

[Brady]

Pittsburgh.

[Katie Nolan]

Pittsburgh. That's where it is.

[Chris]

You can also think of it as fantasy football prep as well, because sometimes that you might be looking to take, like, a rookie in your team, and you want to know a little bit about the landscape and who goes where and what sort of players you should be on the lookout for. So watching the draft can sort of be that primer to prepare you for your.

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah, but it's not a good one.

[Brady]

I'm less psyched about actual players. I'm more into, like. Like watching jets fans get pissed off in real time and have their hearts crushed by not getting the player they want, which is always the least rational fan base. I think you get the most irrational of all of the fans for the people that show up in, like, full costume for an NFL draft, make it

[Katie Nolan]

into a whole thing. It's kind of crazy.

[Brady]

Yeah. Like showing up in face paint for an NFL draft.

[Chris]

It's a lot. Yeah.

[Brady]

Because you are not watching an actual game. Game.

[Katie Nolan]

Yeah.

[Brady]

But I'm watching you.

[Katie Nolan]

Right.

[Brady]

So it becomes a spectator.

[Katie Nolan]

And they always, you know, are like RA when the camera comes to them. When the little.

[Brady]

Oh, I just get a little shiver.

[Katie Nolan]

You guys are.

Tyson, the quarterback from Alabama is going to attend the draft.

[Katie Nolan]

Okay.

[Brady]

And he is probably not getting picked in the first round.

Oh well that's.

So he's going to have the really long awkward.

Maybe he's just got a great outfit and he wants to get this fit off. Let him take throw a fit and

Sure, why not. Remember the when they had that jack link Sasquatch guy at somebody's draft party and then they didn't get drafted in the first round like they were supposed to and so they Sasquatch had to show back up for the second day. Like that's crazy letting that guy into your house twice. Okay. So we could watch the draft. Sorry I didn't sell it. It was. It's Thursday at 8 on ABC or any of those other alt casts. What else can we watch? Cringe. Yes.

This is one of them. He actually scored a goal over the weekend. Katie, I don't know if you saw this in Liverpool's 21 win against Everton.

Crystal palace fun fact. I got drunk at a men and blazers event once and spent most of the night might yap in to the owner I think of that team. I don't know if he still is but Steve something he was like I said I was pretty drunk.
