If you know you serve a sovereign God, I dare you to give him praise. No sovereign mean.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
He does what he wants to do,
Dr. Darius Daniels
when he wants to do it, however
Pastor Shamika Daniels
he needs to do it. Now, if you serve an okay God,
Dr. Darius Daniels
give him an okay praise. If you serve a good God, give
Pastor Shamika Daniels
him a good praise. But if he's great, if he's amazing, if he's incredible, I dare your praise to reflect how great your God is. Forget about your neighbor. Tell the roof off. And give God praise in this place.
Dr. Darius Daniels
Hands lifted all over the room. Father, right now, we're lifting our hands because prophetically, lifted hands are a sign of victory. That even if a fighter wins a fight professionally, the win is not official until their hand is lifted. So, God, right now with our hands lifted, we are prophetically declaring that the battle is already won and we have the victory. I declare victory in our home, victory in our family, victory in our mind. Now, God, prepare our hearts to receive a teaching and a touch from you, God. We don't want to leave out the same way we came in. We came with hunger, an insatiable appetite to embrace your principles and your power. Now we give you all the honor, glory, and praise. May souls be saved and lives be changed. In Jesus name we pray. Somebody shout amen. Now give God your best praise right there. Change church. That was cute. That was your practice praise. I said give them your best praise. Come on. Who's excited to be in the house of the Lord on today? Listen, my name is Darius McClure. I'm from Birmingham, Alabama. And, yeah, serve at a church called Rock City Church in Birmingham. And I'm so honored to be here. Many of you may already know I'm family here. I was raised in the faith here, trained as a leader and as a man in this church. And I just would be remiss if I went any further without honoring and celebrating the greatest pastors on this side of heaven. Can we go crazy for Dr. Darius Daniels? Pastor Shamika Daniels? Come on. The Bible says those who lead well are worthy of double honor. Tell the rufo. Let them know that you love them. Let them know that you appreciate them. And while we're celebrating them, can we go crazy for everybody from New York?
Pastor Shamika Daniels
New York.
Dr. Darius Daniels
Not in the building. Oh, he got the jersey on. Be a real one. That boy got a overnight from Amazon. Boy, I tell you. So congratulations to all of the New York Knicks fans on your championship. Yeah. In over a century. Congratulations. We're so glad. If he could do it for you, he can do it for he can do it for us. Amen. So excited about that. Anybody ready for a word today? All right, go with me to the Book of John, chapter 11. John, chapter 11, verse 21. If you could, if your legs work, could you stand as we read the Word today? In honor and reverence for God's word, I promise you I won't ask you to stand except for 3.5 more times. John 11, verse 21. NIV, when you got it, shall I got it? If not, we do have it available for you via screen. Lord, Martha said. See, she said it with an attitude. You just can't read it. You got to understand it. Lord, Martha said to Jesus, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. If you don't mind, I want you to high five at least three people in your section and tell them today's topic. Here. Y' all already high five it. Slow down before you high five. I want you to tell them today's topic. Here it is. Are you ready? Now tell them it's a warning. No, you're going to high five another neighbor because that's the calm neighborhood. Here's the next neighbor. High five them and tell them, don't crash out. You can be seated. Don't crash out. Now look back at that neighbor. Say, neighbor, you've been doing good in this season. Don't let nobody of nowhere make you. One of the signs that we are becoming more like Jesus is not that we stop feeling our emotions. Hear me right here. But that we stop following our emotions. One writer once said that your emotions should be indicators, not dictators. And for some of us, we cannot walk by faith because we're stuck in our feelings. And Peter Scazaro says in his book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality that you can only be as spiritually mature as you are emotionally mature. And so for some of us, we've been saved, but stuck at the same time because we have applied spiritual disciplines but abandoned. Watch this. Embracing the right spiritual disposition. So we change our actions, but we never adopted the right attitude. Or in other words, we settle for a facelift when God wants to give you a heart transplant. And the humanity of Jesus teaches us. Watch this, everybody. That waiting is not passive. Waiting is not doing nothing. Waiting is not sitting around hoping things change. Waiting is learning how to trust God without taking matters into your own hands. Y' all not talking to me, so I'm gonna say it again. Waiting is learning how to trust God without taking matters into your own hands. And watch this. Because many of us crash out because we've been told to wait on Jesus, but we've not been taught how to wait like Jesus. Do I need to run that back? We've been told how to wait on Jesus, but we've not been taught how to wait like Jesus. Because waiting is not just something Jesus told us to do. It's also something that he did himself. He waited 30 years before he performed any miracles, 30 years before he did any ministry. He waited 40 days without food and prayed and fasted for 40 days to fight the enemy for a moment. I feel like pausing and parenthetically digressing right there, because he fast. And watch this. He fasted and prayed for 40 days only to fight the enemy for one moment. Because when you defeat you, the enemy is no contest for you. And I wonder, do I have anybody in the room today that in 2026,
Pastor Shamika Daniels
I'm preparing to win the battle between me myself?
Dr. Darius Daniels
He waited 30 years, 40 days. He waited while praying for hours in the Garden of Gethsemane while his inner circle kept falling asleep. Okay, y' all not shouting yet. I'm gonna have to teach that class when to shout one on one. Because he didn't just die on the cross. He also hung on the cross because in his humanity, he wanted to show us how to manage life. When it feels like people leave you hanging. And I wonder, do I have some people in the room today that look back over your life and in previous seasons, but when you wanted to give up some kind of way, you got the strength to hang in there? Do I have any believers in the room that you should have threw in the towel? You should have lost your mind a long time ago, but some kind of way, you hung in there, look at your neighbor and say, hang in there. Now watch me, everybody, because I have four kids, all of them Gen Z. One preparing to go to college, another one in high school, one in middle school, one in elementary school. Pray for me. My house. Crazy. But the more I'm around them, the older I feel, because I can't interpret what they're saying. Like, if my daughter and her friends are around me and something happens, they'll look at me as like, that's tea. Okay, all right. But recently, watch this, everybody. My son was playing a video game, and apparently he was losing. I went in his room because all I heard was screaming. And so I was concerned. He looked at me and said, I'm about to crash out, bro. First off, I'm not your brother. And so I went to Urban Dictionary University, and I discovered that crashing out is when we are triggered or provoked into reacting in a way that is inconsistent with our character. This is why you have to be
Pastor Shamika Daniels
careful with who you call friend.
Dr. Darius Daniels
Because some people are anointed to aggravate and provoke you to pull the crash out out of you, not the Christ out of you. Y' all don't want to have church. I'm a preacher this side.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
They acting bougie over there. Do I have anybody in the room today that's I'm saved, not soft. So stop trapping and watch this.
Dr. Darius Daniels
I want you to catch this, everybody. Because what I find interesting is this. Here it is, everybody, that One of the greatest triggers for crashing out is not anger. It's not rejection. It's not betrayal. Lean in real quick, all right? It's a disobedient church. I'm the birthday.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
I told y'.
Dr. Darius Daniels
All, I've been studying. I need to stop hanging out with my kids. Lean in. Hold on. Choir director. Hold on. Y' all grew up Baptist. One of the greatest triggers for crashing out, not anger. It's not disrespect. It's not betrayal. But one of the greatest triggers for crashing out is waiting. Some of y' all sitting in here acting like you don't struggle with patience. Nothing exposes what we really believe about God, like having to wait on God. Okay? So y' all going to still sit in here like you saved, sanctified, and Kentucky Fried. But what I'm trying to get you to see is that impatience is an enemy to your increase. And for some of us, we know what it's like to rush into the wrong situations and opportunities. And you have to be careful, because when you rush it, you ruin it. And so God uses waiting. And most of us don't like waiting. Watch this, everybody. Are y' all ready for this? Some of us don't like being patient because we don't like becoming a patient. In other words, God tests us with time to perform spiritual surgery on our heart to determine if we can handle the favor on our life that he wants to get us. Because if we refuse the surgery, we'll fumble the favor. Which is why some of us feel like we keep going in cycles instead of of new seasons.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
Because he said, I can't allow you
Dr. Darius Daniels
to go into a new season with
Pastor Shamika Daniels
the residue of your dysfunction. Because if you get there, you won't keep it or stay there.
Dr. Darius Daniels
But I wonder, do I have some
Pastor Shamika Daniels
people in the room that can shout? Not just over the promise, not just over the promotion. Praise them for the process. Praise them if you learning how to worship and wait at the same time while you still looking at me. Do I have any worshippers in the room? Who knows what it's like to praise God? If you're not in the room, praise them in the hallway. Praise them. That you may not be where you want to be, but you're not where you're used to be. You're in process.
Dr. Darius Daniels
Because one of the greatest gifts that you will ever give to your purpose is patience. Can I ask some evaluation questions? Can I perform a live survey? All right, here it is. Have you ever did something you know you shouldn't have done because you got tired of waiting? Okay, maybe that ain't you. Have you ever said something you know you shouldn't have said because you got tired? Y' all acting bougie. I'm gonna go over. All right, one more, one more. Have you ever chose somebody.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
You know, you ain't have no business
Dr. Darius Daniels
choosing, but you got tired of waiting.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
And when you get tired of waiting, you start settling for less than God's best. But the devil is a liar. Whatever you have to do. I'm declaring that God's delay is for my development. I'm no longer complaining.
Dr. Darius Daniels
And, you know, all right, since you won't get free, I will. I don't like waiting so much that when I go to a restaurant and I don't feel like going inside the restaurant, and I go to the drive thru and I place my order for a family of six, You know what it's like to be in that driver's seat and you got a place to order for the whole family? Talking about pressure. Listen to me. It's not an order. It's a whole PowerPoint presentation. So I'm placing my order. I done successfully place the order without having to ask somebody what they said. I pull around to the window, pay for my food. I start doing the dance. When you ready for your food, I'm excited. They give me my card back. Then they come back and say two of the most demonic words. While I'm in anticipation for what I just ordered. She comes back and says, pull up. But one day, out of my impatience, I looked back at her and said, why? I guess she had never been asked why. People just follow the instruction, but not today. I said, why? She went and got the manager. The manager came to the window. I was so embarrassed. The manager looked out the window, oh, hey, Pastor. So I had to clean it up. Y' all know I just playing with y'. All. How y' all doing today? So the manager looks at me and say, I know you don't feel like waiting. I know time is important, but what you ordered wasn't ordinary.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
So because you have an extraordinary order
Dr. Darius Daniels
that's specialized just for you that not everybody else don't get, I need you
Pastor Shamika Daniels
to wait a little bit longer. Even though people behind you may get the stuff before you, just keep waiting. Because what I have for you, eyes have not seen, ears have not heard. Now, if you believe God has something extraordinary for you, I dare you to give him a pull up.
Dr. Darius Daniels
Praise.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
Praise him like you know you have something special. Praise him like you getting something that nobody in your bloodline has ever received. I dare you to not wait. No. Go high five somebody on the other side of your road and tell them it's on the way. You better praise them like you know it's on the way. Favor is on the way. Healing is on the way. Breakthrough is on the way. Increase is on the way. Pull up on me.
Dr. Darius Daniels
So watch this. So the shift, what she told me, why I had to wait shifted me from seeing me pulling up and waiting as disappointment to a compliment. If you want what everybody else has. All right, let me be specific. If you want the relationships, that's for the streets that everybody else gets. I'm gonna go over here. It's getting a little tight. I don't know about you. I want a Jabez blessing. See, Jabez didn't just get a blessing. He got a blessing indeed. I don't have time for that. Because this next blessing, when people see it, they not just gonna say, that's a blessing. They gonna have to add the adjective on the back end of it. That's a blessing indeed. Let me keep working, because here it is, everybody. Proverbs 16:32. I didn't give this to any other services, but I feel it's important right here. Y' all better act like y' all glad. Proverbs 16:32 says, Watch this, everybody. Better a patient person than a warrior, One with self control than one who takes a city. Patience doesn't just help you win battles. Patience helps you avoid battles you were never meant to fight. Are y' all hearing this? And so I'm giving you something else. I didn't give another service. The other services. Are y' all ready? It's the last service. I'm gonna leave it all on the field. Y' all ready? And so I want to introduce to you the principle of patience. The principle of patience reveals that God can use an undesired route to get you to a desired result. The principle of patience reveals that God can use an undesired route to get you to a desired result. He can use a pit, Potiphar's house, prison to get you to the palace. He can use a cradle, a cross to get you to the crown. And for some of us, y' all not hearing me right now, some of us think just because God has taken us the long way that we're going the wrong way. Because for some of us, our crash out is about to happen. Because we're looking at our age and stage of life, comparing it to other people and putting a timeline on when God wants to do what he wants to do in our life. Are y' all hearing this? But patience is when we respond right, even when life goes left. I don't know about you, I've been living long enough to know that even though God be God, life be lifen't. And this is what we see in our text today. In our text we see some people like us that we may trust God's character, but the question is, do we trust God's timing? Martha, Mary and a brother named Lazarus are a family who have a close relationship with Jesus. They're so close with Jesus that whenever he comes into the city, he stops by their house, lounges, has food, laugh, have a good time. But now a crisis has come. Lazarus is sick and he's in a place of a life threatening illness. Look at it in verse 5. John 11, verse 5. Now, Jesus loved Martha and his sister and Lazarus. All right, let's read verse five together because y' all think I'm making this up. Y' all ready? Verse 5. Here it is. Now Jesus love y'. All. Y' all don't like reading out loud. Let's try this one more time. 1, 2, 3. Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister Lazarus. Verse 6. So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, comma. All right, y' all read too fast, y' all missed it. Verse 5. Who did he love? Martha, Mary, Lazarus. He loved them. Then in the next verse, he heard the word. The one that he loved was sick, comma, and he stayed where he was for two more days. There's tension in the text because Jesus, I've seen you move quicker for people who don't even believe in you. This is the tension that many of us face. What do you do when you've been living right? And it seems like God just keep favoring people? That's living wrong. So here I am, and I need you and I'm calling you and you decide to move slower than I prefer. Could it be that maybe Jesus is not responding how Martha and Mary expected him to respond? Because there's a deeper issue. What if Jesus is revealing that they came to him out of entitlement, not faith? Because some of us think just because we've been walking with God, he's Santa Claus, that he does what we want when we want him to do it. When we. God wasn't created for us, we were created for God. And so sometimes he. He'll make you wait because he says, the problem is not the miracle that you want. The problem is the motive, the reason why you want it. Entitlement don't move me. Faith does. So sometimes I have to allow you to experience a level of disappointment over time to get your ego and pride out the way so that you can
Pastor Shamika Daniels
come to me in faith and humility.
Dr. Darius Daniels
And when faith shows up, miracles show up. And I wonder, do I have any faith in the room today that can
Pastor Shamika Daniels
believe God for the impossible, to do the unimaginable?
Dr. Darius Daniels
And watch this. She went out of entitlement. You family. So I know you're gonna come. You know, do what you need to do. I saw what you did for blind Bartimaeus. I saw what you did for that demon possessed man that was cutting himself in the cemetery. I saw what you did. So for sure he's gonna show up for us. When God is like, that's cute, but that's, I don't owe you. And watch this. She looks at Jesus and says, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn't have died. So he goes from sick to dead. What do you do? What? When your situation goes from bad to worse. So she comes out and she's crying, laying at his feet while fussing at the same time. Because you haven't truly worshiped God until you was confused emotionally to where you was fussing and frustrated with them but praising them at the same time. Because pain, praise without pain is just a performance. But I wonder, do I have some people right now that you don't just praise God? When you're up, you can look back
Pastor Shamika Daniels
over the lowest seasons of your life
Dr. Darius Daniels
on some of the biggest heartbreaks you've ever experienced and say, I'mma praise you anyway.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
Thank you, Job.
Dr. Darius Daniels
Though they slay me yet, will I trust him?
Pastor Shamika Daniels
And I'm gonna just give you one minute right now to praise him in spite of the pain that you feel. Praise them that the pain is temporary, but the glory on the other side of this pain cannot Compare.
Dr. Darius Daniels
I'll never forget. I'll never forget my son, Champion. He's my oldest son. He was 4 years old. The doctor diagnosed my son when he was 4 with autism, ADHD, ADD. He said he would never be able to function in a normal school. He would always need assistance. But whose report. I never forget. I'm in the doctor's office and I felt so helpless because how are you telling me my child won't be able to function? And I remember I'm sitting there and the doctor says, all of a sudden Dr. Darius Daniels calls me. I get up, I tell my wife, hey, I just need a minute. I get up, I walk. And he called me, hey, what you doing? We have a conversation. I tell him what happens. He prays with me in some kind of way. I left out of that room one way. I walked out of that room afraid. I walked out of that room grieving the life I thought I wanted. But. But I walk back in in faith. And I began declaring the word of God that by your stripes my son is healed. I declare that I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor seed begging bread. Healing is the children's bread.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
I prayed, I fasted for 21 days. Everybody in my house had to get on one accord. And I'm here to tell you my son is on the under roll. He's in middle school, he's thriving, one of the top athletes in the state. You can't tell me. I know the power of Jesus.
Dr. Darius Daniels
I know what it's.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
Look what it's like to look at your child and don't know what the
Dr. Darius Daniels
future a hoes but to turn off the airways. Nobody in my house can watch tv, be on the phone, no Internet, no nothing. We're fasting and praying for 21 because I have to get my undivided attention
Pastor Shamika Daniels
and war on behalf of my seed.
Dr. Darius Daniels
We take them back to the doctor, we take them back to school. And they said, we don't know what happened, but he don't have autism, who don't have adhd. And I looked at my son, I said, remember what I named you? He said, champion. I said, why is your name Champion? Because all I do is win. Because we overcome by the blood of
Pastor Shamika Daniels
the lamb and the word of our testimony. And if you have a testimony in the room today, I dare your praise to reflect what God resume looks like in your life. If he can do it for my family, he can do it for.
Dr. Darius Daniels
But listen to me. These were the hardest 21 days of my life. It wasn't just cute pitty pat. God, thank you for waking me up this morning. No, it was tears. And sometimes I had. I had no words, but the Holy Spirit. Spirit would make groanings on my behalf and I would press into his presence and watch this. This is what happens in the text. Jesus is looking at Martha press at a level of hunger, so much so that when he looks at her weeping and worshiping. Because when you weep, but don't allow your weep to evolve into worship, your grief will become a grave. He's looking at her weep and the text shows up. That is the shortest text in the Bible. While she's weeping and worshiping, verse 35 says Jesus wept. Jesus does the most human thing possible. It's so human that it's the first response to life when you come out the womb. He weeps because when a baby comes out the womb, the first way to check for a sign of life is to hear the sound of weeping. And I just want to do a sound check real quick because I know you've praised God. When was the last time you cried out to God? Because weeping is a sound of life. And Jesus wepts. In other words, he's God enough to heal it, but man enough to fill it. This is why we call him, hear me right here, our Kinsman Redeemer. Because you cannot heal what you don't relate to. So he weeps. And I believe Jesus has given us permission in verse 35 to be fully present emotionally in our pain. That for some of us we've been carrying pain for too long and we call ourselves the strong friend. When what if you're not the strong friend? You just numb. That you being there for everybody else. That you don't know how to allow people to be there for you. You know, I've walked a lot of people through healing and I thought sometimes the only sign of someone healing is when they learn how to give and become more generous. But I've also learned the greatest breakthrough in healing is also when people learn how to receive. Because some of us have been hurt for so long, disappointed for so long, rejected and betrayed for so long, we don't know how to depend and trust on other people because we always had to be there for ourselves. So the first thing Jesus gives us as a cure for crash out is number one, he regulates his emotions. He has to get to a middle. Now watch this everybody. Why is this important? Because when you regulate your emotions, it's showing us this, everybody, I want you to catch this. Most people crash out because they lack the Ability to properly identify and express pain. So he's weeping. And as men, we're discipled as young boys to not express pain. Don't cry. Be a man. When sometimes crying is the manliest thing you could do. You saw grown men win a championship last night, and their response to winning was weeping. Juxtaposition. Looking at that, some men lost. Their response to loss was weeping. And some of you, you've been missing your breakthrough because you're too tough to release tears, not knowing that according to the Bible, tears are a seed. The Bible says, what you sow in tears, you will reap in joy. Number two, don't just regulate your emotions. Number two, remove your stones. Jesus looks at them and says, hey, remove the stone. Because I'm not going to do what you can do for yourself. Remove the stone. See, you missed it. You think it's just about removing the literal stone when if you've gone through change track, you realize that if you allow pain to go unmanaged and there's no forgiveness, your heart forms a scab. And that's what the Bible calls a heart of stone, a stony heart. And so every time you forgive, you removing the stones, because God is not going to do for you what you can do for yourself. He's like, hey, remove the stone. I know they hurt you when you were younger, but I need you to let that go. Remove the stone. I know they betrayed you, but I need you to forgive. Remove the stone. I know you expected them to be something that they could never be, but I need you to remove the stone. And they remove the stone. And he gets up. With grave clothes on. So when he gets up out of the grave, he's not walking, he's hopping. Because it's not just enough for you to get up in this season. I'm praying that God sends people in your life that can remove your grave clothes. Because if you have to regulate your emotions, number one, remove the stone. Number two. Number three, revive your Lazarus. Lazarus represents the emotional attachments that you have in your life. Watch this, everybody. In other words, you may not have a dead brother, but you know what it's like to have a dead dream, dead opportunities, dead relationship for some of you, hear me right here. Dead faith. What do you do when you believe for so long and it felt like believing wasn't working? And Jesus calls out to the dead, Watch this.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
Lazarus, come forth.
Dr. Darius Daniels
Y' all missed it.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
Lazarus,
Dr. Darius Daniels
come forth. What's your name right here? Shanita, come forth. Y' all missed it. I didn't tell Everybody to come forth. I was specific because some scholars argue that if Jesus would have said come forth, everything dead in that cemetery would have had to respond to his command. And I wonder, do I have some people that can call out your last name, call out your child's name, whatever you believe in God to revive, I dare you to call it out by
Pastor Shamika Daniels
name and declare, come forth. Favor. Come forth. Peace. Come forth.
Dr. Darius Daniels
Come forth. That's his response to Martha was about to crash out. Calm down. Your brother will rise again. She responds back with attitude. I know he'll rise again in the last days. I know what the resurrection is. He looks at her and said, I am the resurrection. I don't just do resurrection. I am resurrection. So when I show up, bounce back.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
Show up.
Dr. Darius Daniels
And I wonder, do I have anybody
Pastor Shamika Daniels
in the room that's ready to bounce back? You ready to resurrect what other people thought was, was dead? God is bringing it back to life. Because what the enemy meant for evil,
Dr. Darius Daniels
God is turning it around for my good. Can you stand to your feet? I'm closing. Shanita. Holy Spirit revealed to me that you must stop hiding. You've been shrinking to a peace, the preference and insecurities of other people. And shrinking has led to private depression. And so right now I'm declaring that you're no longer a prisoner to your personality, that you're coming out of the bondage and labels that you allowed others
Pastor Shamika Daniels
and yourself to put you in. Come forth.
Dr. Darius Daniels
If you're in this room today, please lift your hands right now in the name of Jesus, Holy Spirit, have your way. This is a house of prayer. This is a house of power. So, God, right now I come against any, any resistance to your presence. God, I say thank you for what you're doing in our hearts, for what you're doing in our mind. God, I pray a special prayer that we won't just wait on you. We'll learn to wait like you. Your word says, they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. So we'll wait. Even when it hurts, we'll wait. With tears in our eyes. We'll wait. Come on, lift your hands right there. And I want you to allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you. Because for some of you, you've been on the brink of deviating from the plan that God has for your life. So have your way right now. He will renew your strength.
Pastor Shamika Daniels
Your strength. So wait. I say, wait on the lo. Wait on the Lord. He will renew your strength. So wait on the Lord. Wait on the Lord.
Dr. Darius Daniels
So Father, I thank you that we won't just win the battle against the enemy, but also against the inner me. I hear this strong in the spirit. I break every soul tie to every person, place of thing that is pulling you out of the will of God. And declare who the son sets free is free indeed. Now Father, I thank you that this word is not following. No deaf ears that will yield fruit. Become all that you called us to be. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Can you give God praise? No, you can do better than that.
Host: Change Church | Pastor Dharius Daniels
Guest Speaker: Darius McClure (Rock City Church, Birmingham, AL)
Date: June 15, 2026
This episode, titled "Don't Crash Out," delivers an impassioned and practical sermon centered on patience, emotional regulation, and trusting God's timing, even during seasons of waiting, disappointment, or heartbreak. Using John 11—the story of Lazarus—as a foundation, guest speaker Darius McClure addresses the dangers of “crashing out” (reacting emotionally and impulsively), the challenge of waiting on God, and the spiritual necessity of pressing through disappointment to receive breakthrough and resurrection in one's life.
“Waiting is learning how to trust God without taking matters into your own hands.” (DM, 06:41)
“You can only be as spiritually mature as you are emotionally mature.”
(Peter Scazzero, cited by DM, 05:18)
“If you rush it, you ruin it.” (DM, 12:59)
“God can use an undesired route to get you to a desired result.” (DM, 19:35)
“Patience is when we respond right even when life goes left.” (DM, 20:45)
“The principle of patience reveals that God can use an undesired route to get you to a desired result.” (DM, 20:06)
Pastor Shamika Daniels (motivational refrain for audience):
“Though they slay me, yet will I trust Him.” (Job, quoted by DM, 30:03)
The overall tone is energetic, passionate, and motivational, blending humor, personal vulnerability, and deep scriptural engagement. Pastor Darius and Pastor Shamika regularly use call-and-response and direct audience engagement, encouraging listeners to interact, reflect, and rejoice throughout the message.
The episode closes with prophetic encouragement, prayer over the congregation’s ability to wait and overcome inner battles, and a final call to praise God for coming breakthrough and revival—ensuring listeners leave uplifted, challenged, and spiritually equipped to not “crash out” in their season of waiting.
