Watch this. I didn't leave better. I left new. I feel like I'm preaching already because for some of us this week, we're not trying to get better, God.
B
We trying to leave out of this week completely new. As a matter of fact, look at your neighbor and say, you better get.
A
Used to who you send to right.
B
Now, because by the time I leave out of here today, I will not be the same. I may look the same.
A
All right, Luke, chapter seven. Luke, chapter seven. 17. Luke, chapter 17, verse 17. When you got it, shout, I got it. If you don't say, throw it on the screens. See, that's why you got to bring your Bible. You Gotta Luke, chapter 17. Here it is. Do y' all talk back to the preacher at Change the cab. Y' all ready? Here it is. I feel my help over here. I feel it up. Jesus asks, were not all 10 cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner? See, y' all don't know when to have church. Then Jesus said to him, rise and go. Your faith has made you well. I want to preach from a topic. I know revival is this weekend, but I want to preach from a topic today. Revival, rehab. You can be seated in the Lord's house, look at your neighbor and say, neighbor, you thought you was just coming to church today. You didn't even know you were rehab. Since we're in rehab. Hi, my name is Darius. Okay, some of y' all ain't never been to rehab. You supposed to say, hello, Darius. Let's try this again. You trying to front like you ain't never been there. No cap community. Let's try this one more time. Hi, my name is Darius, and I would like to welcome you to revival rehab. I did not struggle with an addiction to drugs. I did not struggle with an addiction to alcohol. I'm not even struggling with an addiction to people because people pleasing is an addiction. I come to testify about God redeeming me from being a settle holic. See, in my past, I struggled with an addiction to settling. Am I talking to anybody in the room today and online? Can I preach to some people that knows what it's like to God free you from settling in your relationships? I. I feel like preaching already because I'm declaring. You won't settle in your faith. You will not settle in your finances. I. I come against your addiction to average that Jesus said I came that.
B
You may have life and have life more abundantly. The enemy wants you to save. Settle for the addicted life. But Jesus said, I came to give you the abundant life. And if you allergic to average already at the DeKalb campus, I'mma give you 30 seconds to give God an abundant praise. Your bank account may be lacking now, but this praise is calling down abundance. You may have a negative doctor's report, but this praise has given me an abundance of heaven. Helen, why are you still standing there looking at me? You to praise God like you already got it.
A
But watch this. Many people don't complete this rehabilit rehabilitation process because of their strange addiction to average. Because in natural rehab, you may detox your body, but in revival rehab, you detox your soul. Why? Because God cannot fill you as long as you're still full of you. So revival rehab is preparation. Watch this for managing the power and presence of God. Because I believe that in the American church, God has celebrated the results of revival, but has grieved the route to revival. Do I need to say that again? I believe in the American church, God has celebrated the results of revival, but grieve the routes to revival. In other words, we shout, God moved. But God is grieved because we didn't. He's saying true revival, third way revival.
B
Is not just a holy hype. It's not just emotionalism.
A
He's saying, when I come to revive.
B
I don't come for you to just have good church. I come to give you eternal life change. And if you're ready for change to happen in your life, the change that happened in your family, somebody shout, I'm ready for all of it. Now. Here it is. Everybody screenshot this. Write this down.
A
Here it is. Revival rehab is when God confronts the parts of us that are keeping us from encountering all of Him. Do I need to say that again? Revival rehab is when God confronts the parts of us that is keeping us from encountering all of Him. In other words, this is preparation for when God opens a window for his people to. To take back everything that belongs to them. See? See you. You. You too cute. If I was at the early service at Gwinnett or if I was in New Jersey, they would have had good church right there. But y' all a little bougie at this service right here.
B
So I'm going to say that again.
A
Because I think you might have missed it. Here it is. Revival rehab. This is preparation for when God opens a window for his people to take back everything that belongs to them.
B
And I don't know if you agree.
A
Or not, but we can have a.
B
Little bit of church right here is There anybody that's saying, during revival, rehab and revival weekend, I want it all back. I'm going to say that again. I feel my help over here. Somebody shout, I want it all back. I don't just want some of my joy back. I want all of my joy back. I don't just want some of my peace back. I want all of my peace back. Somebody shout, I want it all back. I'm not being greedy, but I am hungry. Somebody shout, I want it all back.
A
I want it all back. Because revival rehab is not here. It is about elevation. It's about formation. I will. Do I need to say that again? Revival rehab is not about elevation. That's revival weekend. See if you're ready for revival this weekend. You're saying, I'm ready for elevation, but revival rehab is for formation. See, see, Revival weekend is position. Okay? Revival rehab is posture. Position is where you are.
B
Posture is how you are where you are. You can be in church right now position. But you can also be mad because PD not preaching posture. So did you come to hear a man or did you come to get a message? Do I have anybody in the right position and in the right posture? Somebody said, I want it all. It's formation, not elevation. Formation. See, you would be shouting if I said favor, but you also should be shouting because I said formation. Here's why. Because before God fills things, he forms things. I feel like having church before he feels he forms. Isn't that the narrative of Genesis? The earth was darkness, void and formless before he filled it. He formed it. Maybe you don't like Genesis, but at Pentecost they were in the same room praying on the same page. Because it's possible to be in the same place, but not on the same page. So the same disciples who could not cast a demon out of a little.
A
Boy.
B
Who could not stay up to pray with Jesus for an hour, spent 10 days praying persistently non stop to where now the Holy Spirit comes and fills them.
A
But we shout about the filling without embracing the forming.
B
Some of you are going to experience.
A
A move of God this weekend, but you're not going to sustain it because you went into the move unprepared. You may be wondering if I need to be a rehab today because you might be sitting here bougie with your lotion on, got your good church fit, kicks of the day. But can I introduce to you at least three primary symptoms that you may need? Revival rehab. Number one, if you have apathy. See? See, y' all don't like that. Can I teach it like I feel it. Apathy.
B
Here it is.
A
Everybody is strange fire that confuses being made new with actually becoming numb. So. So sometimes apathy shows up in the form of calling yourself the. My question is, is your heart healed or is your heart hard? Because sometimes we're confusing being strong with being numb.
B
Apathy.
A
In other words, when you have spiritual apathy, your body is present, but your heart is not. Y' all don't want to talk to me today? I feel like preaching to some people who knows what it's like to have a Judas in your life.
B
Jesus looked at Judas and says, I.
A
Know you're going to betray me, but whatever you do, do it quickly.
B
In other words, watch this, everybody. Your heart just waiting on your feet to catch up because they were sitting at the table.
A
And he says, the one who dips in the cup will betray me.
B
In other words, just because they're at your table does not mean that they're on your team.
A
Do I have anybody in the room.
B
Today that can give God praise? Because during this revival rehab, he's about to increase your discernment that you're not about to be surprised on some of the people he's about to expose.
A
Maybe you don't have apathy.
B
Maybe that's not your issue.
A
Maybe you're dealing with symptom number two, spiritual dehydration. You saved, but you also unnecessarily thirsty. Can we sit here for a minute? You love God, but you also a little toxic, too. And so you read the Bible, but you interpret it through a narcissistic lens.
B
So instead of having proper exegesis, you now have Narcissus. You now make what God said said.
A
Fit what you want.
B
Instead of his will.
A
It's spiritual dehydration. What's spiritual dehydration? It's the decaying of the soul. Watch this. From doing the work of the Lord while abandoning the Lord of the work. This is my Easter speech. Say it again. Okay. It's the decaying of the soul from doing the work of the Lord while abandoning the Lord of the work. So you faithfully serve his house, but your pride won't let him work in your house. So you speak in tongues on Sunday.
B
But you can't work with your co worker on Monday.
A
So you can be faithful in ministry. Anointed with a nasty attitude. Are y' all hearing this? Can be the most faithful intercessor while insecure at the same time. But symptom number three is what we want to raise and lock in on today because I believe symptom number three is a silent killer in the body of Christ that God wants to revive in revival rehab so that you can experience the fullness of his power and presence on revival. We can. In. If you want truth and fire, somebody shout, I'm ready. I'm ready. If you want truth and fire and you're ready for revival, here it is. Number three, you must deal with this symptom of unresolved regret. I know I'm talking to somebody. Because Studies show that 90% of us in this room today are wrestling with unresolved regret. Even professors who. Professors at Carnegie Mellon University. They said, watch this, everybody. That regret is the second most frequently experienced emotion after love. In today's revival rehab session, I believe God wants to revive our regrets. I wish I wouldn't have went on that date because revival got a sound. I'm sorry. Regret has a sound. And it sounds like. I wish it sounds like what if? But here it is. Revival comes to shift your what if to what's next. Are y' all catching this? And one of the greatest threats to you experiencing personal and corporate revival is unresolved regret. This is exactly what we see in this Luke and text. Today we see 10 lepers. Y' all pray for me. I got 10 minutes to exegete and unpack this text. I'm about to go to work. Y' all pray for me. We're gonna preach this together. Y' all ready? Here it is. These 10 lepers have been wrestling potentially with feelings of regret. Why? Because when you have leprosy, you're now quarantined from the rest of society. So you no longer can be around your family, your friends. You have to live in a leprous colony. So imagine some of the regret that they're feeling of lost relationship, missed opportunities, wasted time. Do I have anybody in here who knows the regret of feeling like you wasted time? Uh oh. Can we go deeper right here?
B
Do I have anybody online or in.
A
The room who knows the pain of being regretful of people who wasted your time?
B
Now watch this because. Because here's why I love this text. Because Jesus is showing us through these.
A
10 lepers that never allow regret to become an invisible prison that leads to no recovery. Are y' all hearing this? Look at verse 12, Luke 17, verse 12. Here it is. The text says, as Jesus entered a village, 10 men with leprosy stood at a distance. I like this because you can only get leprosy potentially two ways. Number one, here it is. If you Were around someone infected or if you touched what infected people touched. I ain't got time. But if I had time. No, I ain't got time. Here it is. If you are around some infected people or if you touched what infected people touch, which means that if you had leprosy, it was most likely not your fault. What do I do when I'm struggling with the reality that I didn't cause but people I trust, it infected me with something that they had. This is why in this season, you're not going to be saditty, but you do need to be selective.
B
Because you're.
A
Going to have to protect who has.
B
Access in and out of your life.
A
Now, before we judge these brothers with leprosy, everybody in here from the front to the back is dealing with some form of leprosy. Your leprosy may not be physical, but you may have some form of leprosy in the form of a bad attitude. It might be in the form of an inability to control your mouth. Oh, we got quiet right there. Or maybe you're struggling. Watch this. Not with a bad attitude, but a bad appetite. Because you say, but you still got a type.
B
Clock it. But here's what I love about this text, leprosy and all. They did not let the issue stop them from crying out to Jesus. Y' all don't know when to have church because it's showing us that revival rehab is necessary because some of us need to recover our cry that you became so bitter or so domesticated with your faith, you've lost your passion to cry out because you're worried about who's gonna judge or praise. But do I have anybody in the room today that you didn't come to see them?
A
No way.
B
You came to see the one that can only fix your stuff. I' ma give you 30 seconds to release a cry. I don't hear nobody. I ain't see yell. I said cry. Why don't you give God an ugly praise if you've been going through some ugly stuff, give God ugly praise. Pray. I know what the problem is. You praising them by yourself. And the text says one of them didn't just praise them. The text says all 10 of them cried out saying the same thing. Your issue may be you have friends who will party with you but won't praise with you. I dare you to find you a praise partner right now and say, all I need is one. Because Paul and Silas started to praise God, chains begin to fall off, doors begin open. I dare you to grab your praise partner and Start praising God like doors are opening. I can't hear nobody. Praise them until you get free of your mind. Praise them until your family gets on one accord. Praise them. And master, have mercy.
A
They didn't just say Jesus. They made it clear.
B
Master, have mercy. I tried medicine, but medicine couldn't fix it. And when medicine couldn't fix it, I.
A
Cried out to the master.
B
And here they are crying out saying, master, have mercy. Master, have mercy. Master, am I getting on your nerves yet?
A
Because sometimes you may be missing your.
B
Breakthrough because you concerned about the inconvenience of the people who can't help you get your breakthrough in the first place. Master, have mercy on us. You don't know what I've been going through this week. You don't know the tears I cried last night. Somebody shall. Master.
A
Master, I feel the Kendrick Lamar anointing.
B
Master y. I'm sorry. He says, somebody shout, master, now watch this.
A
I want you to catch this. I want you to catch this. They are crying out from their heart, and Jesus gives them a response that most of us wouldn't expect. Master, have mercy. Remember, they couldn't get close because according to the law, you had to quarantine yourself away from society. So from where they are, y' all missed that. They didn't wait to come out of their issue, their condition, to cry out. They said, thank you, Ike, in the middle of it. Master, have mercy. And Jesus responds, go show yourself to the priest. He had to be a brother. That's one of the smoothest responses I've ever seen in the Bible. You mean to tell me I done had a praise break, fell out, cried, sweated, and all you have to say is, go show yourself to the priest? Maybe that's because you don't know. You couldn't be declared ceremonially clean until a priest confirmed. So in other words, when he says, go show yourself to the priest, he was giving them a prophetic instruction. You.
B
In other words, he said, it's already.
A
Done.
B
Because your healing is going to show up where you're supposed to be. And I wonder, do I have some people in the room that can give God praise on an instruction? Y' all missed that. He said, I don't have to touch you. All you have to do is obey my instruction.
A
Instruction.
B
And the healing is in the instruction.
A
And what I love about the text is the text says, as they went. Tario, leave me alone. The text says, as they went. It's right there. I'm in the book. As they went, they were cleansed of the leprosy See, I'm sorry, y' all not shouting because this a hot pocket generation. See, I grew up with my mama. She used to use something called a crock pot. See, a hot Pocket, you just throw it in the microwave and then boom, immediately it's ready. But with a crock pot, you go to Sunday school, you let the deacons do the motion. Then the choir starts singing. Then they start throwing their attendance records.
B
And the offer records in the building falling.
A
Then the guests stand up and introduce themselves. Then the preacher preached for at least four hours. By the next year, that food was ready.
B
In other words, the text says, as they went.
A
Because some miracles don't show up immediately. They show up incrementally.
B
In other words, your next miracle may be in your movement.
A
I wonder, do I have any movers.
B
In the room today that can start walking and say, as I'm walking in God's house, he's about to start moving in my house while you still stand this thing. I dare you to start moving, moving. I dare you to come slap this altar right now if you believe that your miracle. I don't hear no movers in the room. Do I have any movers that can give God praise? Because it may not be happening right now, but somebody shall keep moving.
A
Keep moving. Wait. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute right here. She looked at me and said, keep moving. While everyone else was going back.
B
While everyone else was going back to their seat. The text says the nine of them got healed. They went back to see their family but one. So I'll catch up with y' all. Because we weren't friends in the first place.
A
That was a trauma bond.
B
The only thing we had in common was trauma. I'll catch on later, but I gotta go back and tell Jesus. Thank you. Can we give Jesus a thank you party? Thank you that you heal my body. Thank you for what you're about to do at revival weekend. Don't wait till the battle.
A
I'm out of time. I gotta go.
B
The text says, one came back and Jesus said, didn't I heal ten?
A
What are other nine? If he was from the west side of Birmingham, he would have said, where they at, though? Uh, oh. The nine went to church second way, but the one came back to the king. The nine went to church and got closer to their click. That's what I call click bait. When you stay watch this. Emotionally attached to people, that leads to no adjustment. But the one, the one, he came back, he said, I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for you. I just got to come back and tell you. Thank you. So there are three ways you can live your life. We can close out with keys. Three ways you can live your life. The world's way, Culture's way. I'm sorry. Culture's way, church's way, and the king's way. And there are three ways you can manage regret. Culture's way, Church's way, or the king's way. First way. Watch this, everybody. I want you to catch this. Culture's way Misunderstands regret to either fatalism. What's done is done. Or to toxic positivity. Just move on and let it go. It allows pain. That should be teaching you to torture you. It settles for venting with no victory. Do I need to say that again? It settles for venting. Venting with no victory. And watch this. I learned to stop venting when I learned that vents led to other rooms. Watch this. Watch this. Constantly replaying the past without rewriting the future. It paralyzes you with what ifs. It's. Instead of pursuing what's next, watch this. It results in coping with what you could be overcoming. It's culture's way. Church's way. See, culture's way makes you numb. Church's way makes you narcissistic. So now you spiritualizing your dysfunction. What certain psychologists call spiritual bypassing. When you use religious rituals and lingos to bypass how you really feel. Are y' all hearing this? Watch this. Church's way often mismanages regret by denying the fact that you actually feel it. Yeah. This leads to moving on without ever moving forward. It leads to us. Watch this. To forgiving everybody except yourself. It spiritualizes shame. Acting like if we just say, forgive me, the pain disappears. But true repentance is not just lip service. This. It's life change. Watch this. Church's way gets you stave, but le gets you saved, but leaves you stuck. So if you do church's way, you say I'm sorry instead of I'm changed. But there's third way. Third way. Do I have any third way Christians at change? Church, Watch this. Culture's way makes you numb. Church's way makes you narcissistic. The king's way makes you new. Is there anybody that wants to be made new? Look at this. The king's way doesn't dismiss regret. It redeems it. Regret is not not a sin. It's a signal. It's a signal from your heart indicating that it's time to have an unfiltered non judgmental conversation with God about the disappointments of your past. It's not there to erase your past, but to reshape your future. Third way recognizes regret as a divine setup for your come up. It exchanges I messed up to I'm moving up. Do I have anybody that's ready to move up that you're letting go to.
B
Mistakes of your past, the disappointments in your past? And you said, yes, in spite of what I went through, in spite of what I'm guilty of doing, I'm on my way up. I dare you to give God praise like the one that came back to the Jesus. If you know you're experiencing Third way.
A
Because revival is a time when God introduces his people to a new normal. He says, I'm not just going to change you, but when I change you, you're going to change everything around. Isaiah 43:13 forget the formal things. Do not dwell on the past. See, I'm doing a new thing. Do not dwell on the past. I'm doing a new thing. And the text says, didn't I heal? 10. Where are the other nine? You can stand to your feet. I'm closing. We don't know what the one said. He probably looking at Jesus like, I don't know. I just know. All my life you have been faithful. All my life you have been so your goodness is running out. It's running out. Watch this. I want you to hear me right here. The nine got cleansed. The one Jesus looks at him and says, your faith has made you whole. Second way you get a touch. Third way, you get transformed.
B
He says, I'm not just gonna heal you physically. I'm about to change you from the inside out so that you don't walk back into what brought you to me.
A
In the first place.
B
Do I have anybody that can praise God for a wonderful change that he's bringing over your life? Come on, give God praise if you know.
A
So. Father, we honor you. I feel this in the room. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Many of us have forgiven forgiving others. I want you to repeat after me. Lord, I forgive me in Jesus name. Amen. Come on, give God praise right there. Somebody church.
B
Can we thank God for the ministry of Pastor Darius McClure?
Change Church Podcast: Revival Rehab – Episode Summary
Released on June 2, 2025
In the "Revival Rehab" episode of the Change Church Podcast, hosted by Pastor Dharius Daniels, listeners are guided through a transformative spiritual journey aimed at preparing believers for meaningful revival. Pastor Daniels delves deep into the concept of "Revival Rehab," a metaphorical space where individuals confront and overcome internal barriers to fully experience God's presence and power.
Pastor Daniels introduces "Revival Rehab" as a crucial preparatory phase for spiritual revival. Unlike traditional revival, which often focuses on outward manifestations, Revival Rehab emphasizes internal transformation and detoxification of the soul.
Key Points:
Not Settling: The sermon emphasizes the importance of not settling in various aspects of life—faith, finances, relationships—and calls believers to pursue excellence and abundance as promised in Scripture.
Formation vs. Elevation: Revival Rehab focuses on formation—shaping one's character and spiritual posture—rather than mere elevation or external success.
Pastor Daniels outlines three primary symptoms indicating the need for Revival Rehab:
Spiritual Apathy (10:37):
Describes a lack of passion or engagement in one's spiritual life.
Emphasizes that being physically present doesn't equate to a vibrant heart.
"When you have spiritual apathy, your body is present, but your heart is not." (12:25)
Spiritual Dehydration (13:33):
Represents the decay of the soul from focusing solely on the tasks of God without nurturing a personal relationship with Him.
Warns against using religious practices as a means to bypass genuine emotional and spiritual needs.
"It's the decaying of the soul from doing the work of the Lord while abandoning the Lord of the work." (14:21)
Unresolved Regret (15:24):
Highlights how lingering regrets can hinder personal and corporate revival.
Encourages confronting and reshaping regrets to move forward spiritually.
"One of the greatest threats to you experiencing personal and corporate revival is unresolved regret." (17:00)
To elucidate the concept of Revival Rehab, Pastor Daniels references Luke 17:12-19, recounting the story of Jesus healing ten lepers. While all ten were cleansed, only one returned to express gratitude, demonstrating a deeper spiritual transformation.
Active Faith: The one leper who returned exemplified true revival by acknowledging his dependence on God.
Incremental Healing: Miracles and transformations may not always be immediate but occur progressively as believers continue in their walk with God.
Pastor Daniels contrasts three approaches to handling regret:
Culture's Way:
Misunderstands Regret: Leads to fatalism or toxic positivity, where pain is either ignored or superficially dismissed.
Impact: Causes individuals to remain stuck, preventing true healing and progress.
"It settles for venting with no victory." (33:00)
Church's Way:
Spiritual Bypassing: Uses religious rituals to avoid addressing genuine emotional pain.
Impact: Results in superficial forgiveness without true personal change.
"Church's way often mismanages regret by denying the fact that you actually feel it." (37:30)
King's Way:
Redemption of Regret: Recognizes regret as a divine signal to engage in honest, unfiltered conversations with God.
Impact: Transforms "I messed up" into "I'm moving up," fostering genuine personal and spiritual growth.
"Regret is a signal from your heart indicating that it's time to have an unfiltered non-judgmental conversation with God about the disappointments of your past." (35:00)
Pastor Daniels urges listeners to participate actively in Revival Rehab by:
Praising Despite Circumstances: Encourages believers to maintain praise and faith even when immediate results aren't visible.
Confronting Personal Barriers: Challenges individuals to identify and address their own forms of "leprosy," whether physical or metaphorical, to fully experience God's healing.
Community Support: Highlights the importance of having praise partners to sustain and reinforce one's spiritual journey.
The episode concludes with a reaffirmation of the transformative power of Revival Rehab. Pastor Daniels emphasizes that true revival involves both personal and communal change, urging believers to let go of past regrets and embrace a future shaped by God's redemptive love.
Revival is not just about changing oneself but also about influencing and transforming the surrounding environment.
Encourages listeners to forgive themselves, move beyond superficial repentance, and commit to genuine life changes.
