The National Weather Service has declared a level 4 out of 5 risk for severe storms in the Triangle on March 16; that’s the first time that’s happened since March of 2021. Forecasters are calling for thunder and lightning, heavy rain, possible hail, and a slight chance of tornadoes – but the biggest threat with this storm comes from the wind, with gusts up to 75 miles an hour expected.

Aaron spoke with Jonathan Blaes of the National Weather Service about what we’re expecting and when the worst weather is likely to arrive.
