The class explores why the deepest form of performing mitzvos is without reason; we discuss the argument of Reb Yishmael and Reb Akiva, how the Jews responded to the Ten Commandments, with a "yes" or a "no," and how when life hands you a curveball which you can't fit into your framework, "bitul" becomes a blissful lifeline. We explored at length the address of the Rebbe Shabbos Shlach, 1989, how when Moshe was told he should decide for himself if to send the spies, he felt he was given a new path in Judaism.
