Hey, it's Avery. Welcome to Cheers. Hello everyone. I'm so happy to be sitting down and chatting with you. I. I'm not going to lie, I don't have much to give today. We went to Vegas for like 48 hours for the show and yesterday was my kids last day of school. So Stevie graduated TK and Ziggy graduated first grade, which is insane. I don't know where this school year has went. Like when your kids are in school and you're in a routine, I feel like every day feels so busy. But then you blink and it's over. Like it's already summer, which is insane. And my kids are out until September 5th. That's the longest summer I've ever heard of in my entire life. So thank God for summer camp. But anyways, on Wednesday morning I filmed until about 2.30am and then I set an alarm for 6am the girls were leaving about noon that day. But I wanted to get home to be able to pick the kids up on their last day of school. And so I Woke up at 6, got on a flight, landed back in LA at like 8:45. They had early release so I came home changed, picked him up from school and then we did their little like end of year parties. Ziggy had a first grade little park date with his buddies and then Stevie went over to her little bestie's house and we did like a little mini TK graduation since they're going into kindergarten. So it was very cute. But I am so tired. My alarm went off this morning because I was like I need to get my ass to the gym, and I felt like I was hit by a bus. And it's funny because, like, the first night we were in Vegas, I did have two martinis, so, like, I got a little bit of a buzz. It was fun. And you guys obviously will see all this footage later when the show comes out, but, like, night, too. I didn't even feel like drinking. And I'll be honest. Like, when we're filming, I don't want to be inebriated because a. When you're just mic'd up and there's cameras surrounding you, it's so easy to forget that. And I'm like, if I'm not in the right state of mind, I'm going

to do or say some shit that's

going to get me in trouble, and I just don't want that. And so I, you know, kept it pg. As PG as you can get in Vegas. It was really fun. But I'm happy to be home and back in routine. And we don't have much left to filming, honestly, which is kind of crazy. It's been so hectic, this schedule with filming. But I will say I feel like the show is going to be really cool for you guys to see, and I'm excited, but I'm also really nervous and kind of shitting myself. But anyways, I was like, you know what? I really just want to catch up on here. And there's so many things that I've been obsessed with lately, Whether it's, like, physical items or parts of my daily routine or just, I don't know, random shit. And so I just wanted to talk

about shit that I've been loving.

I love when Emma Chamberlain does these types of episodes because I just sit there and watch. Then I take notes about all the things I need to buy. So. So I don't want this to come off as, like, here's a list of things that you need in your life. These are just things that have brought me joy lately and random items or changes in my routine that have sparked joy in my life, if you will. And so we're gonna get into it. Number one, tankinis. You guys, I don't know what it is lately, but I've been, like, slowly collecting my summer's worth of bathing suits for, like, upcoming travel, because I do feel like. And I'm so lucky. Where I get a lot of pr, but the majority of its bikinis, which is fun. Like, don't get me wrong, I love a little tiny bikini, especially if, like, you know, I'M by the pool with my husband, and I'm like, yeah, look at all this. But also, like, I'm a mom. I got loose skin. I like. For example, when we were in Vegas, we did a pool day. I was day two of my period. You're not gonna catch me dead in a bikini. Let al, like, in Vegas in general, in a public pool, let alone on television in a tiny bikini when I'm on day two of period. Never gonna happen. So I was looking, and I found the hottest tankini. All the girls were like, where is that from? It's from ref. And I'm gonna put all of these overlays on the screen for you guys so you can get a visual of what I'm talking about. If you're watching instead of listening. It's the cutest little, teeny, tiny strap tankini. It's red. I think they have another color with. It's like a semi cheeky bottom, I guess, if you will. But you can always wear, like, a little skirt or something if you don't want to show too much butt. I don't know what it is about, like, the lining and the way it just sucked me in. And it, like, just showed, like, a small part of my lower stomach, but it covered all the way past my belly button. I've never felt more confident in a bathing suit, and I always felt like I needed to show more skin in order to feel sexier, and that's just not the case anymore for me. I feel like as I get older, I embrace, Yes, I embrace my body, and I have no shame in that. But I also think there's certain things that you put on your body that just make you feel so confident. And with confidence, you feel sexy, you feel hot, you feel yourself, and you feel more comfortable. As I get older, I embrace that so much more. Because being sexy and confident isn't about showing the most skin. It's about feeling comfortable in what you have on your body and who you are. And I feel like tankini's really giving that opportunity. So that tankini really brought me back. And also, I ordered another one. I haven't worn it yet, but it's also from ref, and it's like a mustard yellow. Almost looks like a triangle bandana wrap top. And it goes, like, a little bit above my belly button. But I don't know, I just. I used to, like, always wear, like, the thong teeny tiny string bikinis, which also is fun, depending on my confidence level. But again, like, if I'm not feeling myself, but I still want to enjoy my time like out by the pool with my kids or on the beach. I want to, I want to put on a tankini or a sexy one piece. Like I have some really hot one pieces from Monday swimming and I love Monday because it's really made for like bustier girls. And I just feel like they're one pieces. Just like cinch you in in all the right places and like, especially when you're on vacation. Like I want to sit by the pool and I want to drink a margarita and eat my weight and chips and salsa. I'm not going to be dieting, so I don't want to put on that tiny little bikini, you know, so tankinis have been where it's at on the same track of body. This is going to sound, sound wild and I never in my life expected to, to say this, but I've been loving gaining weight. I'm not going to lie. I, I think I am happy with putting on some poundage right now because when I was at my smallest, which was like last fall, it was because I was mentally in the worst place I've ever been. And when I struggle with my mental health, my appetite is gone. I feel like I just don't eat because I feel like constantly sick, if that makes sense, like really nauseous or if I don't eat it like makes me feel something which sounds so fucking depressing. But that's just realistically where I was at. And it's quite interesting. Cause I kind of talked about this a little bit on. I think it was TikTok, like a get ready with me. I can't really remember or on my stories on Instagram. But I was saying it's crazy because like you could physically see what a shell of a human I was. Like I lost so much weight and I like my face was like concave. I was losing hair because I was literally malnourished. I wasn't fueling my body. And now that I have got my mental health in check and I'm in a routine when it comes to my fitness. The best advice I ever got when it came to my fitness journey and really gaining muscle and like being my strongest self was from my best friend, Ms. Whitney Simmons, who is just, she's the gym OG when it comes to social media. She has an incredible app called Alive, which is amazing, especially if you can't afford a gym membership or a personal trainer. Like Alive is incredible in that way. And I love the visuals on Alive. But Whitney told me she was like Your issue is you're not eating enough. Which was music to my ears. Cuz we all know here I'm a foodie, okay? And when she was telling me that I need to quite literally double my protein intake, that was when I saw the biggest difference in my body. I'm not like trying to brag about myself, but like today in the gym, all the girls were like, avery, your ass is insane right now. I was like, talk dirty to me. I'm like such a mom in this way. But I constantly have snacks in my purse, not only for my kids, but also for me. Because, for example, when I went to Vegas and I'm on an airplane and I'm traveling and I get hungry, if you don't have food with you, you're just gonna go to a random like shitty fast food place in an airport. You're gonna eat whatever is available to you. Or when you're in a hotel room, you're gonna order room service. So I always have snacks on hand. I. I bring my pro mix protein bars, some dried mango. I'll even take like my, my protein shakes with me and just keep them in the fridge. So it's all about like preparing and listening to your body and if you're hungry, you need to eat. And I feel like I've really enjoyed putting on a little bit of weight because I do love my curves and I have no shame in gaining weight and embracing my curves. And I think that people mistook my mental health for me. Being on Ozempic, like that was like the topic of conversation on the Internet, which was quite wild to me because I've literally said over and over again, summer of 2024, I tried Ozempic. I think I did like half a vial. And I was literally myself in my sleep. So it wasn't for me. Like, I literally. We were living in Kauai and I had to wake David up at 3 in the morning because I shit the bed. It wasn't worth being skinny. Okay, well, I was shitting myself. And then I remember having to take a flight from Hawaii to New York to see my billboard in Times Square. And I was just puking and shitting at the same time on the flight, like it wasn't enjoyable. And I was like, and here's the thing, if you want to do that, I fudgeing love that for you. Like, if that makes you feel confident. It just did not agree with my body. And so when I was going through this really hard, like mental health transition and I lost all this weight when I was getting back on track. My therapist was like, you need to put all of this into fitness, like all of your frustration and mental health struggles. And that's what I did when my kids went to school full time because I didn't have them in the house five days a week and I didn't have an excuse to not work out anymore. And so I really made a commitment to do that. But I think my diet and protein intake helped, has really helped give me muscle tone. And I've been loving just like getting a little bit thick again. That's just, again, I've been loving, you know.

Being off my phone, I. I think this is the first time maybe in my entire life where I charge my phone like every three days when. Which is actually crazy because I do work from my phone. But it's about now having balance between treating social media as a job versus a consumer. And I've just gotten to a point now where it's not enjoyable for me to scroll because A, I don't want to see shit about me and B, I feel like it's such a competitive game now. I don't, I don't know what it is, but sometimes I have to like, make that mental separation when I see people and what they're posting and I'm like, oh, am I not doing enough? Am I not good enough? Am I not sharing enough? But I have to focus on what feels right for me and my life and my family. And so just like, setting my phone down, like screen down and stepping away and like, living life in real life has really changed me a lot in a lot of ways. And it's funny because sometimes I do get FOMO when like, I'm hanging out with my friends and they'll talk about things that are happening in pop culture with an influencer on social media. And I'm like, I'm gonna be honest with you. I have no idea what you're talking about. So, like, I need you to catch me up. Like, one thing that Scotty is the best at is he keeps me updated on what's going on. Like, he'll send me the tea, he'll send me the drama because I'm like, I need something to look at. Or he's also really good at sending me transition ideas or, like, trending sounds. He's the best in that way where he'll like, send me a TikTok and be like, this is trending right now. I need you to make this. You look so hot doing this or whatever. And so that helps me too, because I just don't have the energy to scroll and, like, look for that shit anymore. And I just want to post, like, stuff that makes me happy, stuff that makes me giggle, have real life conversation. And some days I have a lot to give, and some days I don't have a lot to give. And putting my phone down really keeps me grounded and allows me to live in the moment. And I plan to do that all summer while my kids are home. So I'm really looking forward to that. Okay, I want to talk about a couple beauty products because, I mean, I'm a hoe for beauty. Okay? We all know this. Like, I'm always trying new makeup and skincare perfumes, and I have some new items that I've been obsessed with. Number one, Ultraviolet Sequin supreme Glowy sunscreen. Holy shit, you guys change the game for me. Obviously, SPF is so important. If you're not wearing spf, what the are you doing? Okay, I yell at my husband about this all the time. I, like, have his SPF on the counter because he goes golfing all the time. And I'm like, sir, it's so important to wear spf. But another thing too is I really love letting my skin breathe. Like, I really do not wear makeup more than. Well, okay? It's different with filming right now. If I wasn't filming a show, I wear makeup maybe three days a week, and that's like one night because it's date night, and then maybe two days because I'm filming or we're doing something as a family, whatever the case may be. But I love letting my skin breathe. And I do attribute my skin texture and tone and my lack of breakouts to allowing my skin to breathe. Like today, right? Zero makeup SPF under eye patches. That's all I'm going to do today. But I love when a sunscreen is actually a high UV. So this is SPF 50, which is incredible. And the Ultraviolet line was developed and made in Australia, which has the highest UV in the world. So they make incredible SPF products because it is tested on extremely intense sun. But this sunscreen, like when I'm at the gym, people are like, how is your skin so glowy and, like, not greasy? It's this sunscreen. It doesn't break me out. And that's the thing too. I have very sensitive skin, especially with spf. SPF can really clog your pores. This has like a very slight sheen to it and it comes out almost like. How do I describe it? Almost like a cream color. It's not white, so it doesn't give you that white cast. And another thing is SPF usually does not layer well with makeup. So a lot of the times if I'm wearing spf, I have to take it off in order to put makeup on because it'll get like cakey or the foundation won't set right. You can layer so many products on this SPF and it looks so beautiful, but it gives you that gorgeous, like, glow from within. But it's SPF 50, so it's also like really protecting your skin, which I love. So if you're looking for a new SPF for the summertime, that is what you want, I'm telling you right now. Another beauty product that I've been obsessed with. And it's funny because you're gonna see this all over the show. I have quite literally recruited every single one of my girls in the cast to use this product out of like complete accident. It's the. I'm hoping same this, right? It's Edam. It's E A D E M Edem lip gloss in the shade Sakura shaved ice, which is like a light pink. You guys, I. I actually could get emotional talking about this product. It is incredible. I actually got it in pr. I've repurchased it like five times. It's my go to every day. It has a metal applicator, so it feels like very cooling on your lips. It's not plumping, so it's not like tingly. It is so hydrating and it gives you like the most glossy, delicious looking lips. I don't really know how to describe it to you, but anyways, probably day one of filming and putting this on repeatedly. And I think it was Sal and Aspen. They were like, what is that lip product? And I was like, you need to try this immediately. They've bought it. Then after that it was like Bobby bought it. And then after that the rest of the girls bought it. So we're all in Vegas with the same lip gloss, same shade. You probably would watch it and think that we're like, like the show is sponsored by that company. It's not. We're all just obsessed with it and it's so, so good. And there's multiple shades. I just keep going back to the Sakura shaved ice cuz it's like a beautiful bubblegum pink but if you layer it with lip liner, it gives you that like gorgeous pout. Also Suni Lee uses it and she's an angel. I love her. We have the same manager and I was talking to our manager Kayla about it and she was like, oh, I love that product. Suni put me on it. And Suni always has the most gorgeous lip. So I'm telling you, it's incredible. Paired with that. Another product that I have been absolutely gagged over that I use with the Idum lip gloss is the Summer Fridays lip liner in the shade toffee. I have 1,547 lip liners around this house. Okay. And again, like, I'm very privileged where I get a lot of pr, so I have the ability to try different brands, different shades. Never in my life have I tried a lip liner in this color. Because you know, you get lip liners and it's like you can do pink or more brown or more mauve, but pretty much every single brand has identical shades. Like there's not a lot of lip liners that are super unique in that way or you can find drugstore dupes. I don't know what it is about this lip liner in the shade Toffee. It, it's, it's everything to me. And I, I literally realized how emotionally attached I was to this lip liner. When I was in Las Vegas and I didn't have a sharpener with me and I ran low into like a little nub and you know when you put it on your lips and it's like scratching at your skin and your like lips are getting irritated, I. I didn't care. I was like, get it on my lips. But that Summer Friday's lip liner and toffee with the Edom lip gloss and Sakura shaved eyes, that is my everyday lip combo right now. I'm not wearing it because I'm bare faced, but it's incredible. I'll put a photo of what it looks like in combo here. But I'm. I'm just. I'm just saying it's. It. It's doing something to me lately. Another beauty product that I want to talk about is actually a perfume. And again, my manager, Kayla, she is a perfume hoe. She loves scents. Like, she. Her and Jaclyn Hill both are like, my go to when it comes to scent combinations, because they always tell me about different perfumes or scents that I've never even heard of before. And one thing about my manager, Kayla, is if we're together, we're gonna go shopping. That's just, like, our thing. Like, we're gonna walk around and we're gonna go shop, even if it's just window shopping. And she has this weird thing where she has to go in a department store and go to every single scent counter, so she always knows, like, the new scent to wear, right? Every time we're together, she smells like she has, like, the signature scent. And I'm like, oh, that's Kayla. And she was like, oh, it's this company called Valaya. Or it's a per. I don't know if it's the company or if it's like, the perfume is called Valaya, but I'll put a bottle. The bottle on the screen so you guys can see. I'm going to be honest with you. It's ridiculously expensive. It's insanely expensive and so expensive to the point where I. Every time I saw Kayla, I would be reminded of how much I want this perfume. And. And I never bought it because I just wasn't ready to pull the trigger yet. They were so kind. And I got a random box one day in pr and it was this perfume, and I said, holy shit, I am so addicted to this. To the point where when I get mic'd up when we're filming my favorite. My. One of my favorite audio guys, Josh, he's so sweet. He actually went to, like, my rival high school in Arizona, but a couple weeks ago, he was like, what scent are you wearing? Like, I'm getting this for my wife immediately because it smells so good. And so I literally went in the house and I showed him the bottle, and I was like, it's called Vilaya. Get it for your wife. It smells amazing. And obviously you can get different sizes if you don't want to spend it. But I will say I do one spritz on my neck and one spritz on my wrist. It will last me all day long. So you do get a lot A lot of longevity out of the bottle. I do feel like there's a lot of perfumes that I love the scent but I would have to be reapplying it like threeish times throughout the day in order to keep smelling that way. This is not like that. This scent will last you so long. So if you do want to invest in the bottle or like buy it for someone or get it for your significant other, it is worth the price in my opinion. I don't know how to describe the scent. I'm not even going to. It's just, it's got me in a chokehold. Last thing in the beauty department and I'm going to selfishly plug myself is my press on nail collection that's coming out. I'm really excited about it and I think just in general, which I think in my last favorites video I talked about my obsession with press ons because in the last almost a year, that's all I've been doing. Actually. No, it's been a year and yeah. Oh wow. Because we moved in March, it's been well over a year. How are we in June? That's actually insane. So, yeah, I obviously am addicted to press on nails. It's just what works for me in my life and the fact that I've been able to get them to last two to three weeks. I'm like, how have I never done this before? But I designed a 12 set collection with Olive and June and we are launching nationwide in Ulta with this collection. And I'm so honored to be a part of something so big. I feel like in this stage in my career right now, I am so lucky to be able to be picky about who I work with, especially when it comes to a collection and putting my name on. I cannot tell you how many times companies have approached me and this happens to so many people in this industry where they, you know, already have a collection or an idea and they just want to use your name to get sales. So they'll approach you and say like, hey, you want to quote, design a collection when really they already have something in mind. And so you don't get a lot of creative freedom. So I'm very picky about who I work with for that sense because it doesn't feel authentic. And also, I am not going to ask my audience to spend their hard earned money on something if it's not something I'm genuinely passionate about and don't use every single day. I've used Olive and June's press on nails for over A year I've tried every single press on nail brand and I just kept going back to Olive and June. I feel like they fit my nail beds the best. They're super thick and sturdy, so they don't, like, bend. They're not shitty quality. Like, these are called the Ziggy, if you're watching. So they're like a cobalt blue with a chrome finish. This is two weeks of them being on Stevie. I have a nail that's also called the Stevie. And she's like, when are those going to come off? So you can wear the Stevie. But I just wanted the blue because we were filming the confessionals for the show and, like, part of the background's blue, so I was trying to be on theme for it. And also, like, I don't know what it is about this cobalt blue, but it makes you just feel so, like, tan and confident for summer. Any who zits when, like, I, I obviously when I use something genuinely every day or I enjoy something, I love talking about it. Like, that's what I'm doing today, right? Like, I'm not getting paid by these companies. For me to share things that make me happy and things that I, I use. That's my job on the Internet, is to share my life and, and be, quote, an influencer, right? Like, link my outfits, talk about beauty products I love, talk about my life and routines and, and things that I'm loving. And it was just natural for me to talk about press on nails. And, you know, I don't come from money. I. I come from, like, a very normal childhood household. If I knew about press on nails or press on nails were what they were back then, and I could do a manicure that would last me three weeks for $10. It would change my life. So I love that this collection, and I mean Olive and June in general. But of course, like, I'm selfish about my collection. I love that it's available for anyone in any price point. To be able to get your manicure and have hot, sexy, cute nails for $10 and feel a confidence boost, like, that's amazing. You don't have to sit in a nail salon for two, three hours. You don't need to pay $150 for a manicure. You just need to be able to prep your nails correctly. And so I started talking about this online where I would show my routine of how I apply my press on nails. And I feel like it really helped a lot of people because they didn't know how to apply them correctly and they weren't lasting. So I do them on a plane. I do them in the back of a car. I would. I would show my routine of how I do it at night. And so when Olive and June came to me and they asked me to design a collection and we had meetings and they gave me so much creative freedom, it just felt like the right fit. Each one of these sets I put so much time and effort and thought behind because it was really important for me. No matter if. If you know me and support me or you don't, if you're in store or shopping online, there is a nail for everyone. I have super busy, fun designs that are bright colors for summer, but I also have, like, the very neutral it girl aesthetic nail. If you're more into that and. And want to be more plain Jane and classy, which I love. There's shorter nails, longer nails, almond shape, coffin round. They're just. There's. There's chrome finish. There's just a normal shine. There's French. There's gems. Like, they're so cute, and I love them so much. And every single one, I'm so obsessed with. Like, it's so hard for me to wait for three weeks to take off my nails and put a new set on, because I'm obsessed with every single one of them. You know, I would present designs, and they would have feedback, and I would push back. Like, I really advocated for what I feel like people will love. And I really respect Olive and June for allowing me to have that creativity and that ability to take control of a collection that's part of their brand. And I. I just am very grateful for that. And they also let me have full creative freedom when it came to naming the nails, which I thought was really fun because there is a reason why I designed each. Each set of nails. And so I wanted to be able to name them something more personal to me and why I thought of that design. And they literally just let me have free rein. And it was so much fun to do that. Like, I had a notes folder of just, like, hundreds of ideas and nails and designs and Pinterest boards and all of the things. And so we've worked on this for so long, and it's launching this week, which I'm so excited for. We actually just got word that I have a billboard on Sunset Boulevard right now for the whole month of June, which is insane. And it's just crazy because this is such a pinch me moment, and I've. I've had pinch me moments in the past, and I just will never get used to them. I feel like that take so much of the accomplishment away. I just, I'll. I'll never get used to not just my life, but my career and having the ability to put my name behind something like this. It doesn't go without appreciation and gratitude. And this is just something that's so big for me and for Olive and June and I'm so grateful for them to. To have worked with me for such a huge launch in Ulta. And so I'm just really excited and we're doing a really fun Ulta meet and greet soon in Newport. So we'll post about that if you guys want to come meet me. And we're gonna do some fun stuff in the Ulta so any whose it's my press on nail collection. I'm obsessed with it.

This is so weird and random, but again, I'm just talking about shit that I'm loving. Making my overnight oats. I don't know, I just. I have seen people talk about overnight oats for years. Never really been my thing. I don't have a lot of effort to give when it comes to, like, meal prepping. It feels like excruciating work for me because you got a lot of dishes and there's a lot of that goes into it. So my husband's an angel in that way. But I kind of came to realize that my mornings are so hectic because I'll drop the kids off at school, go to my workout, and then I immediately come home, have to shower, get ready, either go in the car to go film for the show or just start working, doing meetings, editing, whatever the case may be. And so I feel like breakfast was what I struggled with the most when it came to my diet. I feel like I was doing, like, really shitty grab and go stuff that wasn't good for me or I just wasn't eating until lunch, which also was not good for me. Again, not fueling my body. And so I was like, I need something that's healthy, that I can grab, that's easy on the go, especially with filming, because sometimes I'll be in the car for like, two hours to go on location. And so I found some overnight oats jars on Amazon that I thought were so, so cute. And so, of course, selfishly, I'm like, that's cute. That's going to motivate me to want to fill it with stuff. So they're like these. It's a set of four little mason jars with like a really cute cream top. And I think they have different colors, but then it has a wooden spoon attached to it. It's just like, very extra, but I love it. And, like, if something's aesthetically pleasing and cute, like, I'm gonna be more motivated to use it, you know? And so I was looking on Pinterest at overnight oats recipes, and I was like, this is easy as fuck. Like, why? Why am I not doing this? So this is my go to recipe right now. Half a cup of oats, half a cup of almond milk, a scoop of chia seeds. Then I add a scoop of all natural peanut butter granola, a little bit of honey drizzled, the wildflower honey we get at the farmer's market because it's fire. And then I'll smash up a banana, some blueberries, some strawberries, and then I'll top it with some cacao nibs instead of chocolate chips. And I make four at a time, and I put them in the fridge. And then after my workout, I come home because I don't. I just drink my coffee in the morning, and then I go work out. I don't usually eat before my workout unless I'm, like, waking up super hungry. And so I'll come up for my workout, grab it out of the fridge, eat it, and that's my breakfast. And it is so fire. And there's so many easy recipes on Pinterest, by the way, for overnight oats. Like, I have so many different ones saved. So if you get tired of the peanut butter banana one that I've been making, there's a million other ones that look so good. I've just been hyper fixated on this one recipe because the banana with the peanut butter with the oats, with the crunchy granola with the honey. I'm actually, like, salivating in the back of my mouth thinking about it. It's so good. Another thing that's, like, on the food and beverage train that I've been obsessed with, which I don't want to, like, promote alcohol, but I do want to tell you my favorite cocktail right now. You guys, I feel like Kris Jenner, because I'm just, like, slow. Slowly but surely, I. I've left, like, sweet drinks behind. I've never been a seltzer person. I. I don't like the taste of them. Like, even, like, in college, like, white claws would make me gag. Not my thing. But of course, like, when you're first, like, experimenting with alcohol, you're ordering, like, all this super sweet drinks. And even until, like, almost into my 30s, I would always order, like, a very sweet margarita or like a lychee Martini or like, a Mango margarita, like something very, very sweet. But as I've gotten older, I realized the correlation between sugary alcoholic drinks and hangovers. Especially when it comes like a really bad headache the next day. And so that's when I started transitioning into like finer wines. And I will say, like, you don't have to pay a lot of money for wine. Like you guys know if your OG's here, a good Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc is totally fine. And I still to this day will drink that. But like David and I have experimented a little bit more when it comes to fine wines, especially after going to Napa. And like we have a lot of people in our life that drink a lot of really delicious fine wines. And like once you drink that really good wine, it's really hard to go backwards because of the hangovers the next day. Like if you're drinking nicer wines. I don't know if it's like the pair the difference in the parabens. And I know it's like that in Europe. Like I can drink wine like it's water in Europe and I'm not going to have a headache the next day. But in America it's so different. And so I feel like when we drink a little bit of a nicer bottle of wine, I'm not waking up with an excruciating headache or feeling nauseous. But when it comes to my cocktail of choice right now I remember the first time I ever drank a dirty martini. And the first couple sips I was like, this is really strong. And then by the end I was like, I really like this. And I think it's because a I like it with Kettle one, which is like a little bit of a nicer vodka compared to like, I don't know, shitty vodka, I guess. But I like the saltiness of the olive juice and the dirty martini. But then as I've drank more of them, I'm like, I think this is a little too dirty for me. So now I'm getting it like more on the dry side, which is kind of crazy and Kris Jenner of me, but I love a good blue cheese olive, especially from Boulevard Steak. If you've ever been a Boulevard Steak here. Holy. They import their blue cheese olives from some other country. I don't know what, but they charge you per olive, which is insane. But I don't care. I'll buy five of those right now. They're life changing. Blue cheese olives. I thought that was like the epitome of a drink until I started drinking Martinis with jalapeno stuffed olives. Oh my God, you guys, it is so good because I love spice and like a. Just if it's like a slightly dirty martini, it's like a salty spice and the jalapeno being in the olive and then eating it after it's been soaking in a martini. Oh my God, I need one right now. And it's 11am I won't be drinking one. But it's. I don't. I don't know. It's so good. And now David has learned to make a really good martini at home, which is so cost effective but also so dangerous because now my at home bartender can make one seven days a week if I wanted one. But I really tried to limit drinking on the weekends. But anyways, then he found a jar of jalapeno stuffed olives at the grocery store. And so a little slightly dirty martini with a jalapeno stuffed olive really gets me going, you guys. Now if I'm drinking and I'm needing sustenance, it's not going to be some healthy. I'm not eating my healthy snacks. I'm going to Taco Bell. And we did that in Vegas. And it was actually funny because it was the night that I didn't drink. So I wasn't even drunk. But like, of course I'm gonna participate when it's Taco Bell. If I'm drunk, you put me in a Taco Bell drive through, I'm gonna fuck shit up. And one thing about me, I'm never gonna be too classy or have too much money for Taco Bell. I don't care. And what's funny is my really good friend Michaela, our kids go to school together. She has been begging me for like a year to try the Taco Bell breakfast bowl. I've never tried it before. I didn't even know Taco Bell had breakfast. And she also said they have a breakfast Crunchwrap Supreme. That's amazing. Never had it, but I do feel like that needs to happen soon. So Taco Bell Elite drunk food. And I'll order everything off the menu. But then just for balance, instead of getting a regular Baja Blast, I'll get a Baja Blast zero because it cancels everything out. It's like I'm eating air. You know? Another thing I've been enjoying in my life right now, because I feel like I did take a long break from this for a while just out of like busyness and chaos and like, you know, not being well mentally. But I've been loving whipping it up in the kitchen. I've been really into cooking again. Cooking feels like therapy for me. I don't know what it is, but like the second I put on my apron and I'm seasoning and marinating some meats and I'm cooking a beautiful meal for my family, like that fills up my cup more than anything. I also love hosting and so I feel like it's so much more special when I'm hosting and I'm able to cook a home cooked meal for somebody or for people that we're having over because it is a labor of love. And I, I grew up in a household where my mom was cooking every single meal. Like we rarely went out to eat. And I just loved sitting at the table every night with my family and, and watching my mom in the kitchen. And she gave me all of her recipes, which I love. And I've just been loving also experimenting with new recipes. And if you have trouble when it comes to cooking, Pinterest is your best friend because there are so many easy recipes, especially when you're first starting out. If you want to do like a one pot dinner or a one sheet baking dinner, or use a crock pot and just dump and go, I promise you, even if you think you're the worst cook in the world, like you can do it and it just feels so good. And also like being on this fitness and health journey. I love knowing what I'm putting in my body. And it's really hard to know when you're ordering food from doordash or going out to eat at a restaurant. You can think you know what you're ordering, but you don't know exactly what you're putting into your body. And so I love being able to cook and like having a colorful meal full of all of my proteins and carbs and veggies and knowing that myself and my family are eating right and fueling our body in the right way. And also that I poured so much love into that meal. So that really has been filling out my cup. Another thing that's been filling out my cup is trying new activities and sports, which is kind of crazy. First of all, I don't know if you know this, but my dad was a golf coach like my entire life. I think he coached golf for like over 30 years. And of course, my husband is a huge golfer, as we all know, but my son is now such a good golfer. And Stevie also has a bag and she's been killing it when it comes to golfing. And I Golfed when I was younger because obviously my dad was a coach. But then I started playing volleyball from 11 up until college. And so it was year round for me. I did, you know, played during the school year, and then I played club during the off season. And so I couldn't really focus on golf because I was focused on volleyball. So the reason that I have now started to play golf again is because, a, we now go golfing as a family, which is really cute. So we'll go play nine holes together. We all have our golf bags. Stevie sits in my cart, Ziggy sits in David's car. And we only play like, the first nine because the kids can't really last on it during 18 holes. But David and I are playing in a golf tournament in August for St. Jude Children's. And I'm so excited because you guys know I love St. Jude. I'll do literally anything for them. But they have a FedEx cup in August in Memphis and ask David and I to be a part of it. And I'm like, I will again, I will literally do anything to raise money for St. Jude. I adore them. And when I went to St. Jude a couple of years ago, it. I don't say this in, like, a dramatic way, but it really changed my life. Like, it opened my eyes to so many incredible things that they do. And I also have such a different appreciation for it coming from being a pick you nurse. And the cancer research that they do and the way that they provide for these families is incredible. And obviously, like, Scott, when his nephew's being treated at St. Jude, the way that his family was taken care of was, it's. It's like one of the most beautiful things I've ever. I've ever witnessed. And so I just love them. And so they're like, do you want to play in our. Our golf tournament? I'm like, of course. But I'm also thinking in my head, like, I have not touched a gol club in two decades at least. And so David was so cute. He got so excited, he got me a golf set. So, yeah, we've been going out as a family. And I'll be honest with you, it's actually been really enjoyable for me. But I can tell such a big difference in my body because I'm like, I'm gonna tweak my back. I'm at that age now where I'm like, don't swing too hard. You're gonna pull your back out. So. But yeah, I've been. I've been working on my golf, I'm working on my swing and I need to order some outfits because when you go to the country club, like you gotta have like colored shirts and, and I don't wear stuff like that, so I need to get it together. But it's been so much fun to play golf.

Support for Unwell comes from Google Pixel. Okay, so I recently had one of those Sundays where I convinced myself it was a great idea to reorganize my entire closet. And of course, halfway through I found myself sitting on the floor surrounded by clothes, completely, completely overwhelmed. So I pulled out my Google Pixel 10 Pro because it comes with Gemini built in on the phone. I launched my camera using Gemini live, showed it my crazy closet and I asked for help. And immediately it hit me up with all sorts of pro organizing tips like what to hang, how to fold stuff, and even helped me decide which items to donate and where to drop them off. And it was a lifesaver. Ladies okay? But while I was neck deep in hoodies, I totally lost track of time until I got a text from Matt saying hey, what is the address for dinner tonight? Fortunately, the Google Pixel has this feature called Magic Cue that just pulls up the info you need without you having to dig through old emails and stuff. It popped the address right into my text for me and tap it was sent. Daddy. Another thing, which, again, if you're an OG here, then you probably remember back in the day when I would have Stevie in the stroller and I would rollerblade around with my best friend Ashley in Arizona. And I haven't roller skated in so long, mostly because we live on a really big hill, but I love to blade it up. And I don't know if you know this, when I was a kid, I was on an all boys roller hockey team for like three years and I was a badass. Like, I can rip on some skates. I would skate pregnant down the beach. When I was pregnant with Stevie, all the. Sorry. When I was pregnant with Ziggy and we lived in San Diego, we would go down Mission Boardwalk and Dave and I would skate. But I don't know how. The kids, like became obsessed with it, but they really wanted to buy roller skates and learn how to roller skate. And we've been teaching them financial responsibility lately. So we got them this piggy bank. It's actually really cool. It has three slots, it's all glass, and there's a save section, a spend section, and a donate section. They get $10 allowance every week and they have to split it up accordingly. But they have to put something in their spend, something in their save and something in their donate. And their donate is for. We try to explain to them about, you know, how we're very privileged, we're very blessed. There's people that aren't even able to have a roof over their head or food in their bellies and kids that don't have the ability to get toys. And so we take that money and we go donate it. And so they've been asking forever, like, we really want roller skates. You really want roller skates. And of course we're like, okay, we can't just have anything you want anytime. So if you want roller skates, you have to save up for it. So they've been saving, saving, saving, and they just bought their own roller skates with like the elbow pads, knee pads, obviously they wore their helmet and they've been learning to roller skate and it's so cute. And so I've been putting on my roller skates again and going out in the driveway and skating with them. And it's been so much fun and I feel like a little kid. It's been very enjoyable. And I feel like when you have kids, kids, it's like an excuse to be a kid again. And like Relive parts of your childhood that you felt like you didn't get or like you want to get back. I guess it's like a redemption, right? But I get to watch that for my kids and so skating with them has been so much fun. I do feel a little bit down in the dumps because I finished Hacks. I want to talk about this because if you need a new show to watch, watch Hacks. Hacks is one of the best shows I've seen probably like since I first watched the Office, like when the Office come out, I don't know, 15 years ago, 10 years ago. Dave and I have seen the Office like six, seven, eight times all the way through. Who knows? Such a great show. But Hacks is on hbo. It's. If you haven't seen it, it's about a standup comedian that has a residency in Vegas and is getting a little bit older and kind of like phasing out. And so they hire a younger writer that's like, has polar opposite beliefs and personality as the older lady, Deborah Vance. And they just come together and become really close. And season five just ended and it was the end. And I feel like you guys know when you have a really good show, but like they keep going on and on and you're like, okay, like it's time to phase out because they keep pushing it so long that it's like not good anymore. I felt like Hacks could go on forever and I would be so happy. It is the hardest I've laughed in a show in again since the Office. It is such an incredible feel good comedy show that if you need a show that makes you happy, that gives you something to look forward to, you will. Love is so good. I literally want to start it over from the beginning. I actually watched it by myself. Usually Dave and I watch shows together, but that was a show that I started on my own, I think. So I was traveling and so I think I want to re watch it with him because I think he would really like it. But it's. It's so good. Another thing I'm loving, which obviously isn't news to anyone, is my hydro jug. Let me get a sip. I feel like a baby nursing. The new summer colors are so fire. Check this out. I also just got a cow print one and then I got a really cute like red, white and blue bandana one for 4th of July. I'm gonna take that with me. On our trip. David calls me a camel because I fill up a 40 ounce hydro jug. Probably five or six times a day I drink so much water. I've just always been that way. But it has to be full to the top with pebble ice. It has to be ice cold water. I'm not drinking some lukewarm bullshit. And the hydrogen actually keeps the ice intact. It doesn't melt. But you know, back in the day, of course, it was like, Stanley, Stanley. I was a Stanley girl, Stanley spill everywhere. And every time my kids like knocked one over, it was everywhere. You couldn't put it in their backpack because it was would spill. These don't spill. They just stay like that. You're not going to get a drop out. Oh, there goes one drop. But usually you're not going to get a dropout. But here's the thing. Another reason I'm obsessed with them is because they have small ones for my kids. My kids have a million different hydrogen tumblers and they've never had a spill in their backpack because obviously they're in school all day and they have a bunch of paperwork and shit they're coming home with and their hydrogen's just in the bottom upside down in their backpack and it's not spilling. So many cute colors. They actually fit in my cup holder. And yeah, they're just my entire personality. It's literally my emotional support water bottle. I don't go anywhere without it. I literally pack a empty hydro jug when I go on a flight so I can fill it up in the airport to have it with me because I'm not drinking out of some plastic water bottle. You're not going to catch me dead. So anyways, Code avery saves you 10. So if you want to save 10 off a hydro jug, last but not least, and this is controversial, but I love jorts. Right now, the long like midway between your knee and your ankle, almost like a capri. But an oversized jort that cuts right at the shin does something to me. I bought a set from Kai and I wore it on my flight to Vegas for filming. And it's, I don't know, I, I, I, it made me feel so hot and like exude sexy tomboy surfer, if that makes sense. It's like a dark gray low rise jaw. And then it, I also bought the matching zip hoodie because obviously I love sweatpants. But like you mark my words, that is the trend of summer is a jord like mid shin with like a little baby tee or tank top with like some square toed Javiana flip flops and some sunnies and a slick back with lip liner. That is the outfit of the season. Add a big tote bag. Sexy. Love it. I was so obsessed with these shorts that then I go Google jorts. And I went to so many different websites and I ordered a lot of jorts. I did. And you know what? There's a lot of really cute jorts inspired outfits on Pinterest that I've been loving and pinning. And I know you guys always ask, but no, I will never share my Pinterest publicly. It's the only private platform I have for myself that I find joy in. And the second I make it public and share it, I'm never gonna be able to enjoy myself. It's a completely anonymous name, random profile picture I found from Google. And I love it because I also have so much inspiration for, like, my businesses on Pinterest and like, things I'm working on and projects. And so I don't want it to be public for that reason. They're just like the summer thing. And I also feel like it looks really cute to wear a bikini with jorts and just like a bikini top. That's like the Malibu girl, you know? So anyways, I'll be wearing a lot of drawers this summer. Sorry in advance. Well, that's it. That's. That's all my things I've been loving right now. I'm sure I miss some, but we'll catch up and do another one hopefully soon as things evolve and change. Because I'm forever trying new things. Because you can't knock it till you try it, right? And like, how am I going to discover new things to share with you guys if I'm not trying new? So hope you found something that you're wanting to try or just had a fun conversation with me because I love just our little girl chats. So love you all. Cheers. Happy end of school year if you're parents and hope you enjoy the rest of your summer. Bye.
