Scotty shares a big life update… and it’s a bittersweet one. After two years of building Cheers! together, Scotty is officially stepping away from producing the show to go all-in on photography. He and Avery get real about why this decision makes sense, how they handled it with zero drama, and why their friendship is staying front and center through it all.

B
Hi, welcome to Cheers. I'm your host, Avery Woods. I don't even know how to start. Ew. I couldn't even get ready cuz I knew I was going to be so emo. What do we even say?
A
Okay, we're going to follow your lead.
B
First of all, I hate that we even have to do something like this because you know, people are gonna have some to say 1000%, but I guess we'll just go with no, no, no. Actually, I think you should take it.
A
Okay. I'm so down for that.
B
I'm down for your lead.
A
I'm so down.
B
I'm just really excited for you and I think there are so many amazing things on the horizon for both of us this year.
A
I totally agree.
B
And the fact that I still get you by my side no matter what is always a win win for me.
A
100 more.
B
It literally doesn't matter.
A
I couldn't agree more.
B
Go ahead.
A
I don't even know. I was literally gonna be like, I wonder what's the like proper way of saying it? And also like, it's just no like, like kind sweet way of like, oh, this is happening.
B
We also had like. No, we didn't prep for this episode.
A
Nothing. We haven't even talked about it since we just pressed record, literally. But I put in my notice to pursue photography and will no longer be working for Cheers. I don't even like saying it out loud. I hate saying it out loud.
B
Yeah. So it's actually been. Has it been like a month?
A
About a month.
B
That's really weird.
A
Which is crazy.
B
Yeah. So about a month ago, Scott and I had a really honest and open conversation, which is one of my favorite things about our relationship, is that we're able to communicate. And like, we. We talked about this earlier today outside of ourselves, but we feel like that's where friendships will have issues and lack if they don't have communication.
A
Absolutely.
B
And that's something you and I do so well.
A
Absolutely.
B
And obviously we were friends far before I ever hired you. And that. That's something that we always heard for years is like, just be careful. Don't hire your friends.
A
Totally.
B
It will turn bad. And I feel so lucky that the outcome has led us here because it really worked out in the best way possible. I actually feel so lucky because professionally, although I'm selfish and like, of course would want you to be with me with everything, but, like, professionally, it doesn't affect me. Only in the sense of being able to have Unwell behind us.
A
Totally.
B
And, like, I would have never started it without you. And, like, you were meant to be on this journey with me. And that was why when Unwell approached me, I was like, if you're taking me, you're taking Scott. Like, there's no other way around it. And so that has been amazing because as we've grown together, now that you want to pursue your passion and something, you're so beyond talented at what we have Unwell to back me. So it's been a very smooth transition. And also, like, because there wasn't like, a blowup or, like, bad blood or like an incident that happened, it. It's been such a smooth transition. Like, coming out, how you're like. Like, this isn't anything you're going to edit. Like, you're just here as a guest.
A
It's so weird.
B
Isn't that weird? So weird. Which we have to come back more. You can't just disappear on Cheers. The. The. The Cheers audience needs updates of Scotty's life.
A
Cheers will forever be in my life. I don't think it'll ever. I will always be your biggest cheerleader and want to be a part of it in every way, shape and form. Whether it's flying into a place where you have a huge recording or when you go on tour, I will be a part of all of that. Still, that's not. Because I will forever be in your life. There's nothing that I want more than to continue to see each other succeed and be a part of it, because we truly are always in each other's corners and will support each other no matter what, each other, even if it's something so stupid. Like we don't compare. It's just we're truly always like in each other's corners, like being each other's biggest chillers and biggest supporters.
B
And that was at the end of our conversation when we talked about all this. That was like what I said at the end is as long as I still have you in my life, like that's all that matters to me. Everything else comes second.
A
Absolutely.
B
And it is really hard balancing personal and professional relationships and like separating friendship from work because were together all the time and it's hard not for them to merge totally. And like even today when you came here to stay with us, which we'll get into like your locations and all these exciting things. But when you came, I told David I was like, I'm so excited just for him to like come and hang out 100 and like besides this quick recording, you don't have to edit or do anything. Like the fact that you're just here for a few days and like we.
A
Just chill and hang out, chill and.
B
Hang out and like be friends and like focus on things outside of work. And that honestly is healthy for me too because I've had a really hard time managing my work life balance and over the last few years, especially as my career has taken off. So I love that I get to separate that even more with you as well. Cuz like even when we are just hanging out, having a wine night, we'll get ideas or like start brainstorming and I still bounce things off of you.
A
And you bounce off of me forever.
B
But like that's what you do when you're best friends and you're together all the time and like you want to learn and grow together. So at the end of the day I feel like this was the best case scenario, honestly, like it was the best way for us to part ways when it comes to our businesses and jobs but still have each other and never get to a point where it was like we hated each other or like a blow up happened. Like there was a few totally.
A
You know, when you look back at all of our memories, I look back at photos, videos, which I have so many.
B
I know we're gonna go through some of our favorite memes.
A
We have so many iconic memories and it literally like think about in the two years, when do we ever get in a nasty fight regarding the podcast?
B
Never.
A
Never. Like we truly made when have we.
B
Got a nasty fight period. Like it's. But I feel really lucky in that 100 and I also feel like, you know, David's grandma would always say about other couples, if they didn't fight, she felt bad for them because they weren't able to learn and grow and communicate.
A
Totally.
B
And of course, in our multiple years of friendship and you working for me, things have come up both personally and professionally. But the difference is that we're civil, we totally communicate. We don't raise our voice. We don't. It's not a bitch fest.
A
No. It was always nip it in the butt, figured out what was like the. What you call it, and we move on. It was always a learning opportunity, whether it was a technical issue, whether it was anything. Like, there was never a moment where it was like, oh, my God, I'm going to get killed. Like, it was just like, okay, I have to figure this out. We have to go over this figure. Like, it was just pure bless.
B
Well, and also, like to give you credit, if anything ever came up professionally, like, I always try to handle things and, like, stay calm.
A
Totally, 100%.
B
So I hope I was that for you always. But I feel like anytime it was like, hey, can you make this quick edit? Or like, let's do this next time, totally, you immediately fix. And that was it. We moved on. And, like, that was how I knew we were always taking strides forward and not staying stagnant. And then for me, like, if anything came up with you, where you were, like, that was a really stressful environment or like, that makes me anxious or like, because that's another part of it is, like, with this podcast and growing, like, it is a very high stress environment. That's like, the pressure of it is a lot, not just the podcast, but I feel like my industry in General is like 100 very high pressure, and that's not necessarily something you enjoy. And when things like that have come up, I know where you're comfortable and where you're not. And that was also a learning opportunity for me.
A
Totally. You know, Absolutely. So I felt like. Like, I feel like this is the perfect segue going into memories. We can go over the funniest things. There's a story I've been wanting to share so bad of when the audio got fucked up that one time and the panic attack and the way you were like, okay, okay, I remember that backstory.
B
Yeah.
A
This was a solo episode and this is an inside scoop because people probably don't know this. There was an episode you recorded. I'm pretty sure it was the social media episode, which, to be fair, was a big episode. A lot of prep went into It a lot of time and efforts into the questions. It was a very well thought thing that you completely put together. And I remember we were so excited because the lighting looked great. It was beautiful. It was perfect. And I remember you guys went out and I was watching the kids and I was editing it that night because you were on a date night. And I was just chilling out while the kids were sleeping and I had pull up everything, start editing. And I noticed about every 15 minutes there was a. About 60 second peak of the most aggressive static. You can't even hear a sound. It was just for like a solid minute. I said, of course. She'd be like number 16. And I was like, oh, we're fucked. We're fucked. It's done. We are screwed. And I literally was like, I went through our hard drive, our backups, and I was like, what the fuck happened? We still to this day, I asked so many texts at Unwell and they were like, I have no idea why that happened. Like everyone is so flustered. Like, wait, that makes no sense why that happened. Of course it did. Thank God it was a solo and wasn't a big episode. But I remember sitting at the desk being like, I'm dead. Everybody's going to kill me. You always tell me she doesn't give me a reason. I just am always like, oh, I'm.
B
He'll. He'll tell me that happens. Like, oh my God. I wanted to figure it out before I told you. Which always makes me laugh. Always. Like, I just knew. Like, oh my God, she's going to kill me. I'm like, scott, when have I ever been like, how you piece of. Could you do this? Like, of course not. Like internally of course. You're like, well, that sucks. But also when it's a technical issue, I know, of course it's not your fault.
A
Well, it's so funny. You get home and we were sitting there and I was like, I'm going to tell you. You're like, what? And I was like, so something happened. You're like, okay, let's figure it out. And I was like, oh my God.
B
Like, so the end of the world.
A
You started filming me because you were like, look how stressed.
B
Yeah, you were like sweating. Poor thing. He's wearing a gray shirt and there's one of the drops of fluids coming off everywhere.
A
Everywhere. I was glowing. But yeah, one of the funniest things, if you look at that episode, we went back and Avery literally ad libbed like, read her voice and read every single line and we filmed over it and blended it as best as possible. No one ever said anything about it.
B
So we sat at the dining table for hours and we were zooming in on my mouth and I was looking at my notes from because I scripted the full episode myself and I was reading my mouth and then I was recording over it to try to match it as best as possible. And I was like writing down. Yeah, that was, that was actually kind of. It was like a puzzle.
A
Absolutely.
B
And we figured it out.
A
Once we figured it out, we were like, okay, it's done. We laughed about it and we were dying.
B
Yeah.
A
Like it was the most stress free thing ever.
B
And there's been so many things like that that have happened over the last couple years.
A
Especially in the beginning. We were learning how to fucking do any of this. We had not a damn clue we were doing.
B
Is that not crazy?
A
Look at you now.
B
Wait. We started October of 2023. 3. This will be three years in October. That's crazy.
A
Absolutely.
B
Wow.
A
We've released over 100 episodes.
B
Good job, Scott. I'm proud of you.
A
Thank you.
B

I also, before we go over our favorite memories, I want to give a a Scotty Life update because, and obviously like I'm literally gonna advertise for him right now. So Scotty is. Well, do you want to talk about.
A
No, I like your POV from this.
B
Okay. But then like, you gotta fill in a little bit. Scotty is pursuing full time photography and I'm so stoked for him. Like, we just had him take our family photos for the holiday on the beach and I feel like those, those and Vegas are some of my favorite photos you've ever taken. But I also think like, since you started working for me, because I also think people, people think that you're like assistant or.
A
Totally.
B
Yeah. Scott's only job was the podcast, but I would hire him for like professional photos and stuff. And that was aside from what he did. And then he has helped me in the past with like commenting and stuff on social media when I need to take a break. And that was also like a separate pay. So when I hired him and we started growing together, I have just seen your growth in photography, like it's insane. And I told you this on our Vegas trip, I was like, you have gone to another level. Like it, it took off so quickly. But also seeing your growth and how much you've learned and also like learning what I prefer was another thing too of like, I don't need to ask, I don't need to instruct. I just know I need to stand there and I'm going to get some good ass pics.
A
And you're hot.
B
No, because you know you have a good photographer when you get that. Because I mean, you know, like, I've shown up in full glam hair, makeup, in an amazing outfit and the photographer isn't it. And I hate every single photo. So just like seeing you up your equipment and like I remember when we first came to Unwell and you were meeting and watching these photographers coming to these events and how they would have their laptop and their camera bag and they would immediately hook up their SIM card to their laptop, export the photo, send it to the person and they would have their photos immediately and you'd be like, holy, I want to do that. Like, that's so good. Like that sparked your passion. Totally excited.
A
Totally.
B
And seeing your growth and your potential and seeing what you're capable of, I feel like you can accomplish so much.
A
Thank you.
B
And I'm so excited to see that. I'm also so excited to, like, take you with me on that journey for any big opportunity. I'm gonna be like, what are you doing? Can I book you for a shoe?
A
Literally.
B
And you also have such a wide range of criteria that you can shoot. Like, you're amazing with weddings, couples, pregnancy announcements, random events, product shots.
A
Totally.
B
And you have the talent behind it. And I think you're really going to thrive and enjoy it and have more freedom.
A
Totally.
B
And because the podcast is a huge commitment, obviously it's every single week. And you now have the opportunity to explore outside of that. And I'm really excited.
A
Thank you.
B
And you know, when we came back to California, you've obviously never lived here. You're from Arizona, all of your family is in Arizona. And you took a huge leap for me by coming here. And I know you always said, like, it was your dream to live in la, and I'm so happy you got to experience that. But it's also really hard when you leave your whole family.
A
Totally.
B
And your family is a huge part of your life. And so I'm forever grateful that you did that for me. And Scott's not leaving California permanently, but he's gonna be going back and forth between Arizona and California. That way he can see his family, spend time there. And he also has a lot of photography clients there.
A
Totally.
B
I feel like the photography industry does a lot in Arizona.
A
Totally. Surprisingly does. But I also like being here. I've built a little bit of a clientele here and in California. Like there's just so much more to do year round. So it's like once a month. I'll be here.
B
Yeah.
A
No matter what. Just to like little shoots here and there and just to have an excuse to come and hang out and be well.
B
And I. I had so much fun today. Going to Target and like shopping for your room.
A
My little basket.
B
And giving you a little basket and changing the frame TV picture to your selfie.
A
Oh God, it's perfect. Perfect.
B
So I love it. Cuz I get to see you like every couple weeks. Literally stay here and we get to have fun and just be besties.
A
Absolutely.
B
Kiki.
A
There's no. Literally just like when we first met. There's. It's perfect. And it's so amazing because I can still be a part of so many amazing things. Because that's what friends are for.
B
Yeah.
A
Like anything you have going on and I can make it, I will be there. You kidding me?
B
Well, even I was. I was mentioning To Scott, I was like, so. Because you guys know, I'm like, an old woman. Okay. And I will say, like, one of the most enjoyable parts of Scott working for me is if you guys didn't know, when I met Scott, his only flights he ever took were to and from his Mormon mission. And in the last two, like, in the last two years, how many? I don't even know how many flights.
A
Ballpark, probably 30 to 40 flights.
B
Yeah. Like, we have gone everywhere. And, like, watching you experience these things has been so special for me. Like, flying in a private jet, going to New York City. Like, there's so many things, and I feel like I. I would have never had as much enjoyment as I did if I didn't have you with me on those trips. But also, like, part of the enjoyment for me was just, like, watching you enjoy it and experience it for the first time.
A
Well, it's so funny because, like, growing up in Arizona, like, I never left Arizona literally, ever. We would go to maybe California for a vacation, but I had never flown to another state. I could not tell you anything, basically, about Arizona. It's like, that's all I knew. So going from that and just doing weddings locally there to going on private jets to Vegas to then being flown to Miami to Philadelphia, to all these places to do these crazy events and photograph the most influential people in the world, like, it was such it. Still, to this day, no matter what, will forever be, like, a full culture shock for me. Like, all of those firsts, like, it was. And no matter what, even the most recent ones still just never cease to amaze me. Like, how was that part of, like, what my life is like, going on any of these kind of experiences? Just going on a flight in general, let alone first class or anything, absolutely insane. And it was. And I don't feel like it's over. I feel like there's still so much more to come, so many amazing things coming up that we will 100% be a part of.
B
Well, that's what I was going to say before was I was just talking to you before this, and I was like, I keep getting invited to all these different Coachella events, and, like, I'm just not a Coachella girl. You guys know that. I just. I think the last three years, I've been invited. I. No matter what the brand is or what's going on, I just. That's just not my vibe.
A
Totally.
B
But one of my friends called me because she wants to, like, organize a Coachella trip with a brand, and I love her so Much that I'm, like, considering it, but she's like, what if we did like couples? And I was like, okay. Like, that would be more enjoyable if David came, but if he can't because, like, he needs to be home with the kids or something comes up. I don't know. I was like, scott. And you were like, are you fucking kidding me? Of course I'll go in with him.
A
To a trip to Gilbert, Arizona. Like, anywhere we're going. I'm coming with you.
B
You. I literally have a doctor's appointment on Friday. And he's like, can I go with you? I'm like, of course. Like, come on.
A
That's the kind of friendship we have.
B
You're just the. The vip.
A
Like, I'll be your passenger, princess, and come with you to all your appointments.
B
More like I'm your passenger, princess. You always like to drive my car, and I hate to drive.
A
Oh, I love driving your vehicles.
B
Are we able to talk about, like, a surface level of your personal life?
A
Of course. Absolutely.
B
So. Well, you go ahead. Update.
A
Wait, wait, are you talking about Kyle?
B
Yeah.
A
Okay.
B
I love that you spell out, like, adults don't watch this.
A
Anyways, but I am no longer single. I am in a relationship.
B
Yes, you are.
A
And I actually met him here in la, and he is everything anyone could ever dream of. Treats me like an absolute king. Just always thinks about others. So passionate about what he does. So generous. Just such an amazing, amazing man. And he doesn't live in the same state. We are doing long distance, but I'm absolutely head over heels for him. He's wonderful.
B
And he's not in Arizona either, by the way. So Scott's not doing this because of a guy.
A
No, I would never move for him. Yeah.
B
But maybe I would. I. Selfishly, I'm like, I love the fact that, like, he does want to live here.
A
Yeah, I know. He loves la.
B
He loves only, like, for when I'm an auntie. And, like, you guys adopt some kids or.
A
Oh, no, no.
B
Have a surrogate or something.
A
Kids. Absolutely.
B
But no, I just. I just feel like you're like, we're both in a new era of life, and I really love that. And I feel like coming into this year, you're following your passion. You're taking a leap. Like, you. You are essentially leaving, like, a guaranteed paycheck. Totally, totally take a leap on your business.
A
Hugely.
B
And. But I truly believe it's going to be so successful. And also, like, that was a leap I took when I left nursing. Like, I would never be where I am. Today if I didn't take that leap.
A
Totally.
B
And like, you know I'm always gonna be here. If you need something to fall back, you need your bills paid for the month, just let me know, babe. Like, I'll take care of you because you've always taken care of me. If anyone needs photos, you know, Scott's your guy.
A
I love you so much.
B
You're so sweet. Scott deleted all of his Instagram photos because he's making it like a photography page. We're working on like logos and stuff for you because I love it because you're like developing your new thing. Totally. And I'm developing like my new thing. So like on our laptop, we're liter. Professional business host.
A
No, truly. We're CEOs.
B
2026.
A
Both just health on yachts, sipping martinis.
B
Doing something with a. Yeah, yeah, whatever. Whatever you're gonna say.
A
No clue.
B
Okay. Should we like, talk about our favorite men?
A
I know I have like my top three, like favorite, favorite memories.
B
You do?
A
I do.
B
Oh my God. You came prepared.
A
Okay, well, no, just like meant like I. I had a whole drive. I drove back from Arizona today, so I had my whole whole drive think about it. And I was thinking about so many things. Cuz there's. So I want to honestly figure out how many specific flights we took. There was. Sometimes we flew three times in a week. Like we would go ape at the beginning. We were flying to Pennsylvania. Then we flew to Utah and then we flew to literally, I think we. Hawaii to New York State.
B
Hawaii to New York City. My flight, literally.
A
You had a vision and you had a plan and you're like, let's just do it. And yeah, been great.
B
But some sacrifices had to be made.
A
Lots of sacrifices.
B
We were flying back at the back coach. We were staying in hotels that definitely had cockroaches. I mean, don't get me started on that one in Utah. Remember when we got dropped off. I won't say by who we got dropped off. And she was like, you can't stay here. What the. What is this? I said, oh, my shit's already inside. Like, this is where we're staying.
A
I liked it.
B
Remember the wallpaper?
A
Oh, it was. Yep.
B
Something was wrong.
A
Something. There was. There was. I mean, it also was just Utah.
B
I feel like the water came out brown in the shower for sure.
A
The first few minutes were. You had to get. You had to go until it was clear.
B
So thank you for believing in me. Because he was so excited just to travel and I was like, I promise it will get Better from here. And thank God it did.
A
Which is so funny because the following trip, it was like, we booked this hotel and you're like, it was pretty cheap, so it might be bougie as well. We've ever been. And I said, what the fuck? Talk about immediately progressing.
B
But that's what I love about Scott is like every experience still feels like a first. Like even when we just went to Unwell Vegas and you got all the swag on your bed, you were like, what the fuck?
A
Still freak out about that shit?
B
Okay, go ahead. Favorite mems First.
A
Favorite memory. Oh my God, there's so many.
B
There's years of memories.
A
And I remember the first year, specifically the amount of times that we did film Fly. Yeah, there's so many things. But when we went to Nabella's, we went into her house and first of all, that was probably. That was our. I think our. Was that our first or second recording?
B
It was.
A
It was very much in the beginning. I think she was episode four.
B
Yeah.
A
And I remember she went above and beyond and literally had the most beautiful spread a cake to celebrate. Cheers. Going live. Because that was the day it went live.
B
One of the greatest human beings of all time, 100%. We hit live on our first ever episode before going to her house. And it went number two on Apple worldwide charts.
A
Yep, I remember. I have that screenshot still, by the way. So if you want to cop that. And I got red receipts, I got proof, I got lots. Anytime we hit a huge milestone. Screenshot, 100%. Don't ever say we didn't.
B
No. That was such a fun trip.
A
But I remember the whole experience with her was so much fun. We got like she gave us the tour. It was. And she's just such a graceful, beautiful, sweet human.
B
Her whole family and just.
A
Oh, everybody just welcome. You just immediately felt like family with everybody. And I remember specifically she made us a beautiful meal and we ate it and we went home. I remember though, keep in mind this hotel we stayed at was stunning.
B
It was also the only hotel like in her town.
A
And it was beautiful.
B
It was gorgeous.
A
I remember I was on the toilet for probably a solid four to five hours and had so much diarrhea.
B
Wait, where was I?
A
We were sleeping on the couch. Cuz that was the same night I fell asleep with Grindr open up on my phone and my finger hovering up above that clip at.
B
Cuz we had literally was laying in bed holding his phone with his finger touching his screen with Grinder open, passed out cuz he took an edible Every.
A
Time we landed the first thing Avery would do is look over at my phone cuz she knew I was going on Grinder, switching my location to the city to see what was around.

A
I think of my other one. I have so many more.
B
Oh yeah, I'm going to start looking at my phone because I was looking in my you know how your Apple albums will do like people?
A
Oh yes.
B
So I just clicked on your face and the amount of fudgeing photos that came up in the last four years. Insane dude. Some of them you look like a fudgeing baby.
A
I don't know what the hell happened in the beginning. What I will say something about working for Avery is what I admire about Avery is she gets ready. Not all the time. I'm not saying like, you're like, like. But she will get ready and look good when we go to like a dinner. Like, she, like, gets done, done up. I remember the very beginning. I was like, I never cared about that stuff. And then I was like, you know what? She's, you know, doing her brows and she's doing that. I'm like, I'm gonna start, like, getting ready for events. Best thing I've ever done. Because that has elevated my style. I actually enjoy getting ready. Like, that is something that you have changed in me completely.
B
Helps in your self confidence.
A
100. So many of those things where I'm like, I looked second. I also had a buzzed head. Who let that happen?
B
You and Stevie. She is literally a baby. August of 2023.
A
That was before you hired me three years ago.
B
Is that not.
A
That is the cutest dude I've ever seen.
B
Yeah, that was in your ears. Or appears, you know. Oh, my God, her little mullet.
A
Her little mullet.
B
Oh, my God, look at us testing stuff for the pod.
A
What date is that? That is September.
B
September of 2023.
A
I remember that.
B
One of my favorite memories regarding the podcast was converting the casita 100 multiple nights.
A
So much fun.
B
Yeah. Our house in Arizona had a casita where, like, family would stay, but I feel like my family, like, hardly ever stayed there. And it had, like a living room bedroom situation and a full bathroom. And I was like, why don't we just convert half of this to a podcast?
A
Literally was perfect.
B
And then have a guest space for the other half. Scott and I did the entire thing together, literally.
A
Built all the furniture, everything unboxed, everything. That couch putting together. Do you remember that?
B
Oh, yeah.
A
We put that whole foldable couch. That took hours.
B
Me doing all the wallpaper.
A
Oh, my God, I forgot. You did the wall.
B
I did all the wallpaper. David hung the curtains. Oh, God, you found that neon sign.
A
Yep. Still have that guy.
B
Oh, my God, that was so fun.
A
That was the getting wine drunk and putting furniture together.
B
Oh, look how we are.
A
Babies still having not a damn clue what we're doing at that point.
B
Oh, my God, here's that hotel. Oh, there's the hotel in Pennsylvania.
A
I was.
B
There's no, that's Utah. I'm sorry. Not Pennsylvania. There's the wallpaper.
A
Eowa.
B
Oh, my God. One of my other favorite mems was almost beating the out of those people in Utah. Salt Lake City.
A
I was terrified for that man because he was shorter than you, so I know you would have kicked his ass.
B
Yeah. Long story short, Utah. Listen, I'm not on Utah. I'm just saying it is the most judgmental place I've ever been. The craziest part is that when we were walking around that mall, I was quite literally in a turtleneck, long sleeve sweater, full sweatpants. The skin showing on me was my hands and my chin up. Yep. It was like they knew I wasn't part of the LDs.
A
And then the looks, dude, the looks were insane.
B
And I'm like. I don't know if it was like, do I have multiple piercings? Or I had my septum pierced then. So maybe that was.
A
Maybe that's what it was. I remember, though, when we landed the airport, keep in mind I gave Avery a full heads up about Utah. I said, you did? Just letting you know, like, it's about this, this, and this. So, like, if you get looks, it's because you're hot. I remember, though, when we landed, exactly what you were wearing. You had a gray tank top on with sweatpants because it was hot as fuck. And you had your sweater over your whatchamacallit. And I remember, I always walk behind you, and I remember literally seeing all these men just, like, staring at your tits, Staring at your tits. Looking at your ass, like. And I said, yep, this is. This is it.
B
They're not used to that silicone life.
A
They said, what's. How are those perfectly round?
B
Yeah. But anyways, we were in a toy store to get toys for my kids, because every time we travel, I always try to bring them home something. And there was a father and son, and just based off the way Scott spoke, the things that they said and the way that they looked. I almost went to prison.
A
No, she truly was like, hold my bags. And I was about to. I was terrified for them.
B
Well, I was just so disgusted that this boy was, like, 13 years old and his dad is, like, being so mean and, like, encouraging his behavior. I'm like, how do you raise human beings? Like, I just don't with that.
A
Disgusting.
B
Gross. But yeah, Then he took me in that hot dog place that was fire.
A
What's that place fucking called? J Dogs. JD If Utah's good for one thing, it's J Dogs.
B
Wait, do you know another one of my favorite mems.
A
Oh, no.
B
Is when we went. When we went to London, Olivia's, and they took us to that, like, speakeasy where they had the live band.
A
That was one of my Favorite work trips. I. Yes. This photo, I. Scott, literally, that was one of my favorite trips. They were so much fun.
B
They're the best.
A
And the, like, speakeasy, the music, the drinks, it was so much fun. And we got Taco Bell. And you ordered over me. I have a video. Yes. Add that I have a video of you link leaning over, ordering the whole goddamn menu. And guess what? All four of us women chowed it down.
B
Or this was not work related. You got to gamble for the first time in a slot machine.
A
I put in $5 and I got 17 cents back.
B
Scott had never gambled or done anything really in a casino before because, again, grew up lds. And so we went to Vegas and He put like $5 in a slot machine and lost $4 of it. And you were pissed and said, that's it for me.
A
I said, I'll never gamble again.
B
And I was like, that's why I don't gamble, even if it's a dollar. Like, what the fuck was the point of this?
A
100%. Does it make sense?
B
All right, your turn.
A
Okay, okay, okay, okay, wait. There was one that I was thinking about specifically. Oh, the very beginning when we first started interviewing guests. Keep in mind, the only influencers that I had met was TYSON French for 0.3 seconds. Because I was driving by. I had not really met people that I had seen online ever. Like, that wasn't a thing. You don't really just meet people in public randomly. Especially in Arizona. There's not a lot of influencers that I knew of at the time. So, like, when we started interviewing people, like, we went to Taylor, Frankie, Paul, we went to all these people. I'm like, holy shit. I know these people. And we're going in their personal homes, and I'm setting up equipment to record, like, a huge episode. I remember being. I feel like it was like a year and a half into it. When I finally stopped, I would get so goddamn nervous. I would literally sweat my ass off. And I could literally. This is why the fucking best, though. She would be like, can we turn the air on a little bit?
B
Because I would look at you, at.
A
Least see me and being like, I.
B
Knew you were so hot. And I. As soon as I walk into a room, Scott knows I will know if it's too warm for Scott immediately.
A
And she will immediately say something and never, like, make me feel, like, bad about it. She'll be like, can you turn it on? I'm a little warm.
B
Well, and also, like, I'm sitting there fucking doing nothing. And you're running around, setting all this heavy ass equipment up and, like carrying it out. I think the first one was like, Taylor, Frankie Paul's house.
A
I was drenched in sweat and you.
B
Were carrying up the luggage with all the equipment and you were drenched. You were so nervous to be right.
A
I was terrified. Because she was. I mean, that was our first or second. I don't remember. It was very beginning. And I remember being like, this is one of our first guesses. Taylor, Frankie, Paul. Like, this bitch is huge. She created a whole group. Like, it was even the most recent episodes we've done still. I'm like, we had this person, but what the hell?
B
I know craziest things, by the way. Love her success.
A
Oh, so beautiful.
B
I love watching her thriving.
A
Love her forever on her side, even.
B
Like, just the type of person that she is.
A
Totally.
B
She took such a chance and was like, no, come in my house, let's talk.
A
And she was so vulnerable and honest, Open book.
B
Oh, I love her.
A
Nothing but respect for her.
B
Yeah, it's. It's funny because that's. I will say every part of traveling with you is a perk, except one thing, and that's sharing a hotel with you. And you turn it down to Antarctica when it comes to the air conditioning. And your ass will do it when I'm not looking or sleeping. And I'll wake up and I'm like shivering my ass off. I'm like, why is it 54 to degrees in here?
A
We're in Georgia. No, no, we were in Texas.
B
I remember when the. Did we go to Texas?
A
Courtney Shields episode.
B
Oh, God.
A
And we stayed in. First of all, let me just say.
B
Oh, that hotel.
A
That hotel changed my life. We walked in, first of all, we pull up in our Uber. Our Uber block, by the way, which that still blows me away.
B
Well, hold on. Can I just say, when we first went to Courtney, and I love her too, she's amazing. I'm so excited for her to have a baby right now. But she was like, oh, I would stay at this because I was like, I've never been here. Do you have any hotel recommendations? So she sends me a recommendation. At that time in my life, we were in two very different tax brackets. I remember looking at the hotel website and I say, oh, yeah, no problem, Scott, you want to share a room?
A
And a bed. And a bed, always. No. I remember, though, we pull up and we had our doors open for us. Suitcases. Didn't even think about them. They were, they were brought.
B
That was one thing you had to learn to like, let them.
A
Oh, I would literally start unloading. They're like, oh no, we got it, sir. Or they would say, Mr. Woods, can I just say every room service order every time our bags. Yes, Mr. Woods. And they would. The best part, we would walk up to the desk to check in for the hotel. They expect me to pull my credit card. I said, this is the sugar mama right here. This is the businesswoman.
B
Also, what kills me, this, imagine this. Usually Scott and I like to order the whole menu as normal people. We like to try new things, of course. And when they deliver breakfast in the morning, like, oh, also Scott and I always prefer to share a hotel room. And if brands book us, us separate hotel rooms, we're ending up in the same house. Because why the are we gonna be in different rooms, sit around alone and do nothing? Anyway, so in the mornings it's like me laying in bed half naked, basically, like in a sports bra and sweats, like with my hair all up, looking like I probably got boned last night. And Scott's answering the door for room service and they're like, Good morning, Mr. Woods. Like, hey, how are you? Good morning.
A
He always said, thank you.
B
Walk in and it's like me and I'm like. And they're probably like, this is an interesting couple.
A
No, 100%. They said, he's definitely gay.
B
You're. Or when you call like the lobby. Thank you, Mr. Woods.
A
And I. And I never was going to correct them. I would just be like, thank you. You never correct ever, ever, ever. And they would come multiple times.
B
Oh my God.
A
But yeah, I remember we stayed at that hotel in Texas. And I remember we literally check in and they hand us two glasses of champagne.
B
Oh, I remember that.
A
I'm not carrying bags and I'm doing this. We're chilling.
B
Yep.
A
I remember the first night you went to bed and I knew you were out. So I walk over and you have your sound machine on thousand percent, which is wonderful and guilty. No, truly. So happy. We were both on the same page about that.
B
And I had to get you a hatch too.
A
That Bitch is at 100 volume every night. But I remember viewer sound asleep when I said, it's hot as fuck in here, so I'm gonna go turn it down. I turn it down. Literally within 10 minutes. You said, did you turn the air down? It's freezing.
B
Oh, I thought of one of my favorite all time memories.
A
Oh, I'm so excited.
B
That's a good one. Okay. We were in la.
A
Okay.
B
At what's that hotel. I really Love one. The One.
A
Love the One.
B
I love the One. Anytime I go, I have to go to the One for like I have to. Ew, that's gross. Anytime I'm privileged enough to stay at the One for a brand event, I'm like, scott, we're going to our favorite hotel.
A
Love the One.
B
Oh, I was about to adjust my bra. My titties are just out. I have no bra on. Okay.
A
Literally.
B
Gross. Actually. I gotta live for a reason.
A
They're sitting great.
B
So could you guys believe that I'm sober? Isn't that crazy?
A
No, same stone cold sober.
B
Wow. We need to change that. So anyways, we had a night, we got a little liddy and I remember we had a lot of drinks and maybe an edible or some, you know. And one thing about me is people think that my veins are full of wine and diet coke. I drink probably five to eight hydro jugs a day.
A
Oh, it's insane.
B
40 ounce hydrogens, that's not an exaggeration. Slightest like I top it off with ice and water at least five times a day. I just don't show it online. So people think I don't drink any fudgeing water. Okay.
A
Bitch is a camel.
B
These veins are juicy. Check the shit out. You put a fucking 14 gauge in that bitch. Anyways, so one thing about me is I get thirsty as. Especially if I'm drinking or getting sound.
A
Yeah.
B
But especially like if I have like a dirty martini or something that sodium. Oh, I need water immediately. And usually it's like a 2, 3am Wake up in the middle of the night type water. So we have two beds in our room and Scott's sound asleep. And I wake up and I'm like.
A
That cotton mouth.
B
My mouth is dry. The is sandpaper 100 and so I get up and I go to the hotel and I open it up and the only thing in there is liquid death, which is one of my fave waters. But it has to be ice cold and that was crispy. So I get out of liquid death and I close it. And mind you, like, it's dark in the room but it has like a little bit of light peeking through the window so you can like see scene outline. And I'm sitting on the edge of the bed. Imagine me in the middle of the night. I was probably naked, who knows? And my hair is all up and I'm sitting there and I'm facing Scott's bed, but Scott's asleep. And I'm just sitting there with my eyes closed and I crack open the liquid death. And I start chugging it. And Scott lifts his head up, he goes, are you chucking a beer right now?
A
Dead ass? Because there was bud lights in the fridge. I said, this bitch drinking a beer at 4am I looked at what do.
B
You think of me? It's water.
A
Are you claiming alcohol?
B
I said, oh yeah. I woke up in the morning at 3am and I said, you know what I'm craving more than anything? An ice cold beer. Said no one ever.
A
I literally that is one of the funniest things that ever happened.
B
Oh my God.
A
Hilarious.
B
It was beer. And we literally talked about that for weeks.
A
Oh absolutely.
B
That was. I wish more than anything I had that on camera.
A
God.
B

A
Why we didn't have just, like, constant cameras in our hotels. We would say the funniest and be like, no, I'm a billion bullies. If we, like, we said that, like, that's so funny.
B
I think, oh, my God. Like, and I feel like our lives are just getting started. So many more funny memories.
A
100.
B
What else you got?
A
When we stayed in.
B
I'm scared. What?
A
When we stayed in New York.
B
What's the New York trip?
A
Oh, that's true. When we. It was for. We were. We were recording episodes, but we booked the hotel and they didn't really have a lot of photos. And it was the one that was like a shoebox. There was no walk space.
B
The shower with the fogged glass.
A
I give you full permission to show the photo of my. I keep in mind we share hotel rooms all the time. And this shower is phase, like, faded glass. Like, you can see it's like damn near everything.
B
Fogged glass. You can see, like, you can't see anything specific, but you can see, like, outlines and like, if someone had a bush, like, you can see it.
A
You can see it. Like, it's very visible. And that is in, like, the whole living space. I'm gonna send you the, like, the photo you 100 I could put over because it's so funny.
B
We walked in this hotel. First of all, you have to understand, David booked it. And my sweet husband definitely up because he goes, it's a double bed room. And I was like, okay, great. No, no, like, double bed. Like, full size bed. And I literally go downstairs. I said, there's been a mistake. We're supposed to have two beds. And she goes, we don't have any double bed hotel rooms here. They're all single beds. And they were fully booked.
A
Nope.
B
So we had. It was probably less than 300 square feet.
A
Oh, those.
B
Those New York City hotel rooms. Especially if you're staying in a decent area, walking distance to where we were.
A
Yeah, you gotta pay a price.
B
Shoebox.
A
Yep.
B
Bed was in the corner. The shower was basically clear. There was no privacy. You're where you're sleeping.
A
That's the other part.
B
We. We were contaminating all of our bodily fluids at that. At that point. Like, it was crazy. And I'm getting ready. I see Scott's ass in the shower behind me.
A
And the best part, there's a photo. I would say who you were FaceTiming, but there's a FaceTime photo. And you're both bright red, dying, laughing. And you can see me in the tiny camera. It's just my silhouette.
B
Yep. Sure enough.
A
Oh, that was the funniest ever.
B
Oh, my God. So fun.
A
We could literally go on for hours. I feel like there are so, literally so many things.
B
Well, and even, like, I want to go through this book, too, because Scott got me the sweetest Christmas gift. Because obviously, like, when we had this conversation about him leaving and pursuing photography, this was way before Christmas. So he got me such a thoughtful gift. He printed out this book of all of our memories and wrote me the sweetest note. Can I read it?
A
Of course.
B
Okay. Avery, I wanted a book to go down memory lane. When I say, you have changed my life, I want to elaborate. There were so many things I wanted to do before I died, but I got to do them all with you. From being a part. From being part of a podcast that was ranked number one in comedy, to private jets and flying first class, meeting celebrities and public. Public figures. You brought me along, and I'm forever grateful. You also taught me so much to be the hardest worker in the room. To remembering who you are and giving back. I will forever be your biggest cheerleader. And here for all your highs and lows, thank you for choosing me to join your amazing journey. You'll forever inspire me and be my mentor through everything. I love you so much and can't wait to see what happens in 2026. Forever on your side, Scotty. It's my favorite. When I read it on Christmas, I was a mess, truly. But then he went through all of our memories. This was our first flight. Our very first flight for our first ever podcast trip. We were so excited. We look like info.
A
We look so different.
B
I have a completely new nose, so, like, what the. All these, like, I can't even. I look at these and I'm like, I don't even remember some of these trips until it happens.
A
Totally.
B
The amount of hair extensions I've had in my hair. Holy. I have a new. Oh, there's so many good ones. God, we're so nips, love. Do I have a nip slip?
A
No, no, my nips are just straightener.
B
Like, oh, my God, there's one. That was the night I got up.
A
Oh, yeah, that was that. I remember that event.
B
Like. Like, we're so cute.
A
We have the cutest and most amazing memories.
B
We really do. When Tiana flew out, we got to go to St. Jude.
A
Oh, my God. Literally, there's so many that I'm like, I Keep forgetting about so many trips.
B
You know what? Thank you for sticking by me when I was not as cute because I look back and I'm like, oh my God, that lip filler is crazy.
A
Look at you now. Look at, you know.
B
Oh, we're so cute. When we signed to Unwell and we went to Nobu.
A
Oh my God, that dinner.
B
You guys surprised me. I just love it so much.
A
I also love that photo. I don't know why. It's so seductive. I'm kind of obsessed.
B
That photo of us in the mirror. I know. So cute. A in the back.
A
Every day.
B
Yeah. And it's, it's kind of crazy too because on the DL, because I want to incorporate more solo episodes. Scott's been showing me how to work all this equipment. Cuz it's very overwhelming.
A
It is. It's a lot.
B
I said, I said don't hate me, but like, like I'm gonna be calling you a lot.
A
I'll be on speed dial a lot. Speed dial. Whenever you need me.
B
Yeah. Because you're my producer king.
A
I'll. I'll forever be a producer.
B
So what are your goals for this year? Talk to me about your goals and what we're aiming for.
A
I want to work with so many small businesses. I love that and like, I love helping small businesses understand the importance of like how their social media can change their business totally. And it's through high quality content. So I honestly want to become like an educator and help people understand like how easy it is to start photography. And I don't want to like mentor people and like show, like do classes and courses and like all the things that I've learned like help people because it's crazy and there's, it's like influencers. Like there's never too many photographers. It's not too saturated. Everyone's style is different. Everyone has a different point of view. So I just, I've been doing photography for as long as I can remember. Like I have a photo of me, 8 years old with a camera in my hand. So I just want to capture everything. I don't want to limit myself to just weddings or just that. Like, I want to just have such a wide variety. I want to shoot a concert, do some dope concert. Like photography. Like I just want to do and explore so many different avenues of film. Drones. Like, I just want to explore the coolest ways to capture such important moments in people's lives. Like it is truly making someone feel confident and beautiful in front of a camera is like my. The biggest Compliment.
B
And I also think, like, seeing your growth in the last few years, you're the perfect person to teach what you've learned.
A
Totally.
B
And like, learning about new equipment and different settings and I don't know, I've just like, I'm really amazed at how much you have changed your photography style and like, always aligned it with the times and what's trending and I really respect that. And you are very educated when it comes to social media because you're addicted to it. 100, you know, I got you, it's trending. And like, I don't scroll. And so Scott's my person where I'm.
A
Like, oh, that's still gonna happen. I'm gonna still send you. Please do this. Tick tock.
B
Yeah. I'm like, what's trending?
A
Because I don't know that will still happen.
B
But I think that's amazing. I think there's so much potential. And then like, when I take the next step in my career, which obviously, you know, like, different behind the scenes things, I can't wait to incorporate your photography business and that. Like, I think that's going to be really fun as well because I trust your style and also I want you to just absolutely take off, like, have the most success in all of the land. And I just can't wait to like, see billboards that you shot one day.
A
You know, it's just so cool because I feel like, I don't feel like you've realized the things you've taught me without even teaching me. Like, I, when I first met you, you were still a nurse injector and like, seeing like a life like, lit under your ass and like seeing you go ape. The past three years of, like, even before working for you, I've been like, holy. Like, you don't stop. It's truly inspiring and like, like, you have truly built an empire that's continuing to just grow and grow and grow. And not even just the podcast. Like, so much more behind the scenes that people don't even know about. Like, you are truly building an empire and it's like, holy. Like, you're just an average girl. Like, and you are literally becoming, you're gonna become one of the most influential people ever. Like, you are just so inspiring and you always tell other people that you can do anything that you can. Like, if I can go from a nurse to this, you can do it too. Like, you want everyone else to succeed. And you have been such a mentor through it. When I ask you business propositions, what's the best Way tax advice. Like, the most random weird things, like, you are, like, who I go to for all of these things because I look up to your journey and how it's just going to continue to grow. And where I saw you when I first met you to where you are now is fucking crazy. Like, you should be so proud of yourself. And being a part of this production has, like, been one of the most life changing experiences I've ever been a part of. Like, Cheers will forever be our baby and I will always be the number one supporter reposting every TikTok. Watching everything like I am just has been such, truly, such a pleasure to be a part of.
B
Well, and I also, like, even though you're not technically a part of it, like, I will always associate, of course, with you because again, I would have never even started a podcast if you didn't take the chance on me and want to be a part of it. If we didn't already have these conversations, by the way, everyone, I would be hysterical.
A
But no, truly, truly, we talk the SSRIs.
B
No, literally, I'm like. It's the mix between medication and the fact that we've discussed this off camera, but I. I just know, like, I. I would never be in this position. I would never be holding a microphone if it wasn't for you. And I'm forever grateful for that. I love you so much. Thank you. I love you and I'm so excited for your journey. I'm so. I just can't wait to see what unfolds. And I'll be in the corner with pom poms doing toe touches, cheering for you. I might tear.
A
Groin, tear that groin.
B
But I'll do it. I'll do it in a hot little.
A
Of course. Absolutely. In a short skirt, preferably. Thank God. Well, wait, actually, there's one more thing. No, I just want to read one last thing. It's nothing crazy, it's just something that. It's kind of like what I said in the book, but something I've put more time and thought into. And I have more space because this. The book was really tiny to have a lot of space.
B
Terrified.
A
So it's just something small for you. Avery, working by your side for the past two years has been a journey that I struggle to put into words. Mostly because boss or mentor feels far too small to describe who you are to me. You didn't just give me a job. You gave me space to be creative and always allowed me to be myself. And most importantly, confidence in a workspace. You taught Me to be confident but not cocky. To own the space when I walk in and be proud of what I do. I think back to when we started and realized how you saw a version of me that I haven't even met yet. You saw a potential me that I didn't know existed. And you spent every single day pouring confidence into me until I finally started to believe it myself. Your constant reminders of proud of how proud you are of me became the soundtrack to my growth. Those weren't just kind words. They were building blocks to be the person who I am today. You open doors I didn't even know were there. From first class flights to private jets to introducing me to the industry's most influential people. You shared your whole world with me without hesitation. But as incredible as those glamour moments were, they didn't compare to the safe space that you provided for me. Through every high and terrifying low, you were the person that I could turn to. You held space for me through thick and thin, and knowing I always had you in my corner is truly all that I needed. What moves me the most, though, is your heart. Your generosity isn't just professional, it's deeply personal. It's rare to find someone who truly thinks of others first, but you live it truly every single day. You didn't just build a business, you build people. And you protect them with your entire soul. As I step into this new journey, I feel your support wrapped around me like a safety blanket. You haven't just been supportive, you've been beyond selfless and cheering me on as I embark on my new chapter. Thank you for being my mentor, my protector, and my best friend. You didn't just change my career, you changed the entire trajectory of who I am in my entire life. And I will always be your biggest supporter. I love you. Oh, I love you, Scotty.
B
That was so sweet.
A
I love you.
B
I love you. Thank you. Oh, you always know what to say and write, and I hate it because it always has me right in the fields. And you knew it, too. Oh, I just. It's so hard because it's like, closing this chapter. I keep having to remind myself, like, it opens so many doors for our friendship and, like, totally personal life to have more time to focus on that. And it's so hard to even continue, like, to think about continuing the podcast without you, but I have to think about the other opportunities that are going to come with it and the fact that I still get to take you on those, and now I get to watch you thrive and build your own. You already have a business, but, like, totally build an empire, essentially. And, like, you've been that support for me and have watched me do that, and so I can't wait to watch you do that. And it's just gonna be amazing. And I just believe so much in you, and I can't wait to watch it unfold.
A
I couldn't have done it without you, truly.
B
I love you, everyone. This closes Scotty, as a producer of Cheers.
A
Oh, my God.
B
Crazy.
A
I hate it.
B
But I am excited for you.
A
Thank you.
B
And there's gonna be a little rebrand, as I was saying. And so we're gonna do a lot more solo episodes because I feel like I want to be more meaningful when it comes to this podcast and using my voice and sharing about my, like, recent mental health journey.
A
Totally.
B
And yeah, all good things.
A
Absolutely.
B
I think 2026 is gonna be a huge year.
A
It's gonna be the year.
B
It's gonna be great.
A
You 2025.
B
No, literally, I'm like, 2025. Suck a fat one.
A
I said. Yeah. No, that was the worst year ever.
B
Bye.
A
Bye.
B
Should we go finish our wine?
A
Absolutely.
B
Cheers. Cheers. I love you.
