All right, we start out here on Cheers Cheersing with your favorite bevy.
Raeann Langas
Okay.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And your favorite bevies of Diet Coke.
Raeann Langas
Yes. Newly I had not drank diet Coke or soda for years and then I started dating my boyfriend and I've had a diet Coke like every single day since.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You did something to her and I thank you for it because like this was not something I needed to pick up. Like we have this on hand cuz like David jokes around and he says there's water in his Diet Coke.
Raeann Langas
I'm like, I drink more Diet Coke these days than water.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Isn't it? Have you ever had a crispy McDonald's Diet Coke, though?
Raeann Langas
Yes, I had. I hadn't had one until my boyfriend showed me.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And I was like, yeah, yeah, Fun fact when I was pregnant. And I always talk about how much weight I gained when I was pregnant. I'm like, it's. I don't know why, like, I was on my feet all the time. No, it's because you were driving through the McDonald's drive through. This is my pregnancy with Stevie. And I had a little toddler who was wild and I needed a break. And the only time I would have a break and wasn't chasing him around is if he was strapped in the car seat in the back.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
So I'd strap him in and we go through McDonald's drive thru. He would get his little Happy Meal. We'd have car picnics, and I would get a large Diet Coke and I would get two large fries with like four barbecue sauces. And I would just sit there and eat. And then I would complain about the weight I was gaining.
Raeann Langas
You're like, I don't understand. Why is this happening? It's so strange. I'm just eating whole natural foods. Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I'm like, I'm literally organic. That's so wild. But I, I still, to this day, I'm like, if I need a little pick me up, I' through McDonald's drive, I'm getting a Diet Coke.
Raeann Langas
It is good.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It's called a fridge sig.
Raeann Langas
Wait, I didn't know. I don't think I actually knew that.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
A fridge sig, you know?
Raeann Langas
Okay.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah. Crispy fridge sig. So cheers. Thank you so much for being here.
Raeann Langas
Thank you for having me.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I'm so happy to see you.
Raeann Langas
And I love that you have this ice.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Of course.
Raeann Langas
I feel like I'm living in luxury with the Diet Coke, the ice, the, the California sunshine. I'm like, oh, my God, it's a
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
beautiful day today too. It's like the sun came out for you.
Raeann Langas
So nice.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah. And we had some rain this week too, which was kind of weird.
Raeann Langas
We were at Coachella, so it was actually good that it wasn't, like, roasting hot.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, we're gonna talk all about that. So. Okay. First of all, I haven't seen you since 2023.
Raeann Langas
Yes.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Is that right?
Raeann Langas
Yes. On the branch.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, we went. Yeah, we went. We met in Costa Rica. Casual, you know, doing Yachts with free people. Like, just crazy.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Um, and I remember getting invited to that trip and I was so honored because I, I just love supporting brands and like them, including me, when I genuinely support them and love them. And free people's always been that brand for me. Like, when I first started making money on social media, it was linking dupes for free people on Amazon. Cause I couldn't afford it as a nurse.
Raeann Langas
Oh my God. Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And so it was such a full circle moment for me. But I met so many incredible people, including you. And, and I remember more than anything, your kindness stood out so much. You were so complimentary, you were so humble, you were so welcoming to everyone and you were so confident and you're so beautiful. Like, you're like eye catchingly gorgeous.
Raeann Langas
You're so sweet.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And usually people aren't that pretty and that, that nice. You know, it's usually like one or the other.
Raeann Langas
Oh my God, you're so sweet. I mean, going into that trip, I was so intimidated because I got like the list of people and I was like, oh my gosh. Like, I was like, you know, there were some heavy hitters.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
And I was like, wow, this is crazy. And I just felt really honored to be there. Like, same with you. And then I remember we were driving to like go to this hike and you were sitting behind me and you were like, oh my gosh, Rayan, you are so beautiful. Like, your profile is insane. And I just felt like, oh my God. Like it was. You were just so nice and going into those situations when you don't know anybody. And also a lot of these times on the brand trip, like they. That one specifically, I felt intimidated because I was like the biggest girl there. Like, I was like representing for like the curvy girls. And I was, you know, there's like Olivia's like a Victoria's Secret model and like it was just, you know, Xandra, Sports Illustrated model. And I was like, oh my God. Like, I really felt just, you know, like, okay, I need to like be here and be. Feel good and feel confident and like you gave me that compliment and it was just such a nice, like, just made me feel so welcome. Oh, I love that.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love asking people their first impression of me. So I'd love to know because it's. There's guests I have on that I've never met, and then there's guests that I've known for a long time. So what if you remember, do you remember your first impression of me?
Raeann Langas
I mean, I just remember number one, Thinking this girl is such a hard worker. The amount of content you were cranking out, I was like, oh, my gosh. I got home from the trip and I was telling people, I was like, these girls do not play around. I was like, they work their asses off. And also, you were just so that compliment, like the small. This thing was so nice and so welcoming. And then I think we were at like the cenote and you were like, helping me get my pictures and I took your pictures and it's just. I know that sounds small, but when you're in those situations, there's so many times that people don't do that.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yep.
Raeann Langas
They just do their own thing and you're like.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Or they don't offer to help and they just kind of like, watch.
Raeann Langas
Yes.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
And I just felt like you were just like, so chill and nice and welcoming and like, it was just good vibes.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I do remember trying to take a good shot by the waterfall. And I will say, like, I. I've talked about this before, but I breastfed Stevie for a really long time. And I have the type of body that will hold onto every ounce of baby weight until I wean. And so that was a time in my life where I was very uncomfortable with the way that my body looked because I still had a lot of baby weight. And I. I just remember I wore a one piece on purpose. Cause I was like, this is going to make me feel more confident. But you were like, girl, let me take that camera. And you got those angles and you made me feel so good about myself.
Raeann Langas
I got you.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And I was so grateful because I didn't need to ask. And I just love that. I just was like, you're such a girls, girl.
Raeann Langas
Oh, thank you.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And so I've just loved following your journey ever since. And I think what you stand for on social media, which we'll talk about, is something that's very important and we need more of. So appreciate that. For those that don't know you or might not know what you do online, how do you introduce yourself? How do you describe yourself and what you do?
Raeann Langas
So everything I do, I, I'm. I guess I introduce myself as. I am a content creator, and my goal is to show women that they don't need to wait to live their life, go on a date, wear what they want to wear until they lose weight. Because I've always been a bigger girl. I'm 5 11. I've always been around like a size 12, 14. And I just felt like for so long, I was like, Oh, I can't wear that because that's not for my body or I need to lose 20 pounds before I feel confident enough to go on a date because men don't like curvy women. Or, oh, I don't want to go on that trip because, like, I'm going to be the biggest girl in the group.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
And I just know so many women feel like that, and it breaks my heart. And I just want women to realize that you don't need to wait until you lose weight to do whatever you want to do or wear whatever you want to wear. So that is my goal, with all of the content that I put out and just kind of living by example through my life and sharing my life, that you can have an amazing life and look hot and feel hot and do anything you want at the size you're at.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And you say something along the lines of, like, clothes fit you, not the other way around, or you've said something like that before.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And it's very important. And I saw. And we're going to talk about your weekend at Coachella, but I saw your real, which you literally look good every day. Like, you. Your outfits are amazing. Your boyfriend's outfits are always amazing. I was like, what's your shirt? And you're like, oh, my. It's my boyfriend's.
Raeann Langas
I stole it.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah. I love that. But I just. You always look so put together and curated, and I love your style. It's like the very edgy street wear, but also very classy, sophisticated, little sexy, little tomboy. Like, I just love it. But I loved your real, where you were saying you said something along the lines of, like, you don't need to be skinny to wear a skinny outfit or something.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You said something like that in your reel for Coachella. But I was like, I'm sorry. You have such a hot body. Like, I. I know you're a curve model, and. And I love that you're. You talk about size inclusivity, but, like, your body is banging.
Raeann Langas
Oh, my God.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Banging. And you know how to dress your body, and I think that helps a lot with confidence.
Raeann Langas
It does. And, like, for me, fashion was a way that I really found my confidence because I always loved clothes. And when you find clothes that you feel good in, you can. You can feel that energy when someone likes what they're wearing and they feel good in what they're wearing, you know? So for me, finding things that fit me and made me feel good really helped me find my confidence. Like, and that's why I Love sharing fashion too, because I think I'm the kind of person, like, if I don't like my outfit, I'm having a horrible time. Yeah. I'm like, oh, so great. This. This sucks. Like, I'm not gonna have a good time. Like, I want to like my outfit and feel good. And I think, yeah. Especially going into Coachella or anything, I. I feel like everything you see, like, if you go on to Pinterest and you search, like, Coachella outfit inspo, it's all, like, really skinny, thin girls, you know? And I want to create content and show a curvy body in cool fashion, forward trendy clothes. Because, I mean, I'm midsize, and a lot of my friends are plus size. Like, I have a hard time finding clothes as midsize. Like, I fit. I can fit into some straight sizes, but sometimes, like, the biggest size is too small. So I do a lot of returns. But my friends who are plus size, like, it's so hard to find cool clothing. Like, and. And it's like, we want to be cool too. We want to be the ones in the cool fashion roundups. And that's really. Like, when I go into those things, what I try and do and emulate is like, no, the curvy girls can throw a fit too.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
You know?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Absolutely. So speaking of Coachella, tell me about your weekend.
Raeann Langas
Oh, my God.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Because I want to live vicariously through you. Because, I mean, we talked about this upstairs, but, like, I'm such an old woman that I. I did bed cella this year. Like, I laid in bed with my face mask, and I watched all the performances on my iPad. Like, an iPad kid, not Cheeto coming over here. He's like, I'm actually the star of the show.
Raeann Langas
Look at him trying to get love.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
He's so cute.
Raeann Langas
You know, cats usually scare me, but he has a really good energy.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
He has a really good energy, and he is. We call him my son's emotional support animal because he. Sorry, we're going so off topic. But he was so distracting because he's being so cute right now. But we. We were like, it's time for a family pet, right? And most people get a dog. My son had never been around any cats ever in his life. And for, like, a year, he's like, no, I don't want a dog. I want a cat.
Raeann Langas
Wanted a cat. I was like, green flag. What?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah. Really? And for me, I was kind of like, okay, well, less for us to do, because dogs are a lot of work. Like, give, take them on walks, take them outside. And so we did a lot of research, and they said that doll face Persians, which is his breed, are the best family cats because they're so chill. Ziggy literally carries his cat around like a rag doll.
Raeann Langas
Okay. See, he's giving good energy because usually cats are like, get the away.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, don't touch me.
Raeann Langas
And I'm like, oh, my gosh, I'm sorry.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Our other one, Mochi, is very much like that. Yeah. And he's a Scottish fold, so a different breed. But Cheeto is so chill. And I always say, like, people are like, a lot of people are not cat people. And they're like, oh, we don't like cats. He has changed every single one of their minds of, like, we're not cat people. They come over and they see Cheeto. I know. He's literally showing off for you.
Raeann Langas
He's like, I'm usually scared of cats. I mean, so cute. I could go on a whole tangent, but I'm vibing with him. I really am.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
He's really just being extra right now. Okay, so tell me everything about Coachella.
Raeann Langas
Okay, so this is my first Coachella.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Really?
Raeann Langas
I'm also not like, a party girl. Like, I'm really. I don't know. I'm not a party girl. But this year, my. I was like, I want to go, you know, and if it works out, where kind of things fall into place, we'll go. And. And that happened. We didn't go with a brand or anything, which I think, honestly was the best.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
The way to go.
Raeann Langas
You can just do what you want and make your own schedule. And my friend had a house in Palm Springs. She rented it to us. So it just, like, worked out. So we're like, okay, we're going. And I was telling. I was, like, telling my mom. I was like, I didn't have a bad time, but I didn't also have, like, a really good time. Like, it was fine. Okay. Like, it was.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I also love that you didn't go with a brand. So you can, like, honestly talk about this, right?
Raeann Langas
Because a lot of people are like, oh, my God, everyone, like, raves about Coachella, blah, blah. And I'm like, well, a lot of people can't say that they don't have a good time because it's like, I mean, a brand invites you. I get it. Like, they pay for your thing. What? You're going to go online and say, oh, I had a horrible time. Like, there are people who plan. The girls who plan that trip. Like, that's I get it. You know, I have a lot of
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
people on my close friends or like a lot of of my friends that have me on their close friends. And they're all, they've all been like complaining about the time that they've had, but they can't publicly talk about it, honestly, because they went with brands.
Raeann Langas
Yeah. You know, and you know, I was talking to my friends about this though. I think that the way to go for Coachella would be like camping with your friends. Like, I saw these, this girl's tick tock where their tent had blown away. So their air mattress was just like on the floor in chaos. And it's like they're gonna laugh about that and talk about that story for the rest of their lives. And like when we pay for convenience and we pay for like the VIP or the artist pass and the exclusive, like you kind of like lose like the spontaneity or like the things that can go wrong. Do you know what I mean? And it was just, I was like, oh, that would be fun. Like, I know those girls are going to talk about that forever, but it was good. We were, we went into the, the weekend very open minded. I loved. Honestly, my favorite part was like doing the outfits, like, and, and putting, seeing people and you know, we saw, we listened to some great sets and like was just my favorite part is when you're like vibing in the back, like you have room to dance. Sabrina was packed in. So I, I told this story on my tick tock. Like we had artist passes, which.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
What is that? Because I'm not, I don't know much about Coachella.
Raeann Langas
Yeah. So I'm, I hope I'm not saying this wrong because I don't really know, but I guess there's like ga VIP and then artist passes. You can't just like go on and buy. I guess we got them through my management agency and it. So everyone in this section, I mean, but also we saw Paris Hilton, we saw Kendall, we saw Kylie, we saw Haley, we saw Paris Hilton. Like, they're all in this kind of like back area, but everyone in there kind of thinks they're really important. So like, for Justin Bieber, the energy before his set was kind of intense. Like we had seen the set before him and we just like camped out in our spot because we were like, oh, we'll just stay here. We have a good spot. Like we can see, see the stage, you know, we'll just stay here so we don't lose our spot. And everyone else kind of did that. So people Were sitting there for probably, like, three hours. And then like, 45 minutes before he goes on, people are trying to, like, push in and push in. And finally people are like, no, you can't get through. And we're blocking people because we're like, where are you gonna go? This is like gridlock.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yes.
Raeann Langas
You can't just, like, stand in front of someone who's been here for four hours already. Right? Oh, my God. People were getting pissed. People were. I thought my boyfriend was gonna get into a fight. I was, like, shaking and I was like, you better not get us kicked out of here before Justin. After we've sat here for three hours. But then luckily, when we. When the show started, it was good vibes. Like, everyone around us was good energy. We were singing, we were dancing. We were like, right on the barricade to where, like, GA was. And the girls behind us had sat there for, like, five hours to get their spot. And they were huge Justin Bieber fans. And they were, like, singing every word, every lyric. We were dancing, we were vibing. It was so much fun, but the energy going into it, it was. I was kind of getting, like, also scared. Like, I was like, I don't want to get, like, freaking trampled. Like, the energy. Everyone was trying to push through and push through. Thought they should be at the front. And I was like, guys, let's relax. Let's relax.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah. Too much.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Do you guys know that feeling when you're packing for vacation but nothing feels cool or weather appropriate? I feel like anytime I pack for a trip, I look through my closet and I'm like, I have absolutely nothing to wear. So what was your, aside from the outfits, what was your favorite part about Coachella? Was there a certain performance that you liked more than anything else?
Raeann Langas
I mean I'm, I'm a big Addison Rae fan.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love her. I love her so much.
Raeann Langas
I was so excited to see her. Yeah, like she is just captivating when every. I will not skip an Addison Ray TikTok. Like when she is dancing I'm like,
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
it's Britney Spears energy all the way and I love it because we don't have pop stars like that anymore.
Raeann Langas
No, I'm obsessed with her like and so I was so excited to hear. So that was really fun. But I should have just told my, my boyfriend to just go away because he doesn't get the lore. And I could, like, feel his energy, like, dragging me down and being like, what is this? Like, I needed to just be vibe on my own for Addison, you know, but she did have. It was her crowd work was like, a little bit. The crowd wasn't giving as much as we should.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, that always makes me sad for artists.
Raeann Langas
I know.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
But you know what I love about her is she really doesn't seem affected. Like, she's just, like, living in her own world for herself.
Raeann Langas
And I love that she's having the best time.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Refreshing. And you can tell she's having so much fun. She genuinely enjoys it and makes her happy. And I love that she's just on stage shaking it in her cute little.
Raeann Langas
That girl can dance.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, she can. I'm like, couldn't catch me dead.
Raeann Langas
No. I wish in another life, I'm like, please, please. I wish I could move my body in that way because I was like, sitting like this. I was like, huh, Amazing. I love her. Yep. She's, like, so whimsical.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, I love her too. Okay, I want to know, before you started on social media, what were you doing in your life?
Raeann Langas
Oh, my gosh. Throwback. So I feel so old on social media. When did you start posting?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I'll be honest, I started posting like, a decade ago.
Raeann Langas
Oh, my God. Okay. So, yeah, we. I've been in this for a while too. I started posting. I started a blog in College in 2011. I think it was called Styled and Free. Oh, my God.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Wait. Cute.
Raeann Langas
Because I was working at Better, so I went to school for magazine journalism, and I was working at Better Homes and Gardens at the time. And I was working with the OG blogger girls. Like, Song of Style gal meets glam.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Oh, yeah.
Raeann Langas
Like, all of those icons. Icons, icons with them, like, sincerely, Jewels. And I was like, I want to do that. Like, and. Because also I loved following the blog, the. The bloggers, but they're all teeny tiny. And I was like, what does that stuff look like on me? So I remember when I ever. I would be online shopping, I would, like, go to an Instagram and go to their tagged photos and see if I could find a girl who was like mid size or. Or plus size. I was wearing the clothes to see what it would look like on me, and I was like, why don't I just do this? Like, everyone was asking where my clothes are from, what I was doing. I was like, I'm just going to do this so I can show people what the trends look like. On a curvy body. So I started that in college. And then after I moved back to Colorado, where I'm from and was working at a branding agency for like two years. But, like, I was not really working. I was like on my lunch break, I was like doing ltk, like seminars, shooting photos on my lunch break. Yeah. And then I moved to LA to pursue curve modeling in like 2018 and was kind of doing that for a bit. But the modeling industry was a little bit rough for me and I liked being. Because when you're a model, you're hired for like your. Like you are a mannequin, essentially. You are. It's changed a lot now. But you're hired to be a size 14. Whereas, like when you're talent, you're hired to be Avery. Like, you're hired to be. Right. And like, you're your personality. So I just kind of like that better. And that's kind of where my career went direction wise. So I wasn't like trying to do the modeling as much. And then 2020 and ticked like, thank God I downloaded Tick Tock. And so, yeah, I've just been on Instagram and Tick Tock since. Since then. So I've kind of always been doing it. I only had a, like full time job for two years before.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Where did you go to college?
Raeann Langas
I went to Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Wow.
Raeann Langas
So random. I went for the magazine program.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay, got it.
Raeann Langas
I wanted to move to New York and work for a fashion magazine. That was like my goal. That was my dream. And they had like a really good magazine program, which is so random.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It's giving 13 going on 30.
Raeann Langas
Yes.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
Yes. I was like, I want to be 13. 130. Carrie Bradshaw, Sex in the City.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
That was.
Raeann Langas
But then I chickened down. I didn't even move there until I was like, 30.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I was gonna say you're in New York.
Raeann Langas
Yep.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love New York. Dave and I go to Paris a lot and that's kind of like our. I can't say home away from home because it's Paris. But like, we're very spoiled where we have family that has a flat there. And so that's kind of like our little escape.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
But I think there's something that New York and Paris have in common that I really love. And that's the hustle and bustle of the city. It's young, hard working people that are very motivated. They're out, they're active, they don't give a really. Like, they're making their videos, their content they're strutting their down the side like they don't care. And there's something so refreshing about it. And I really enjoy when I'm in New York.
Raeann Langas
I love New York. I actually, I had, I literally moved there because an astrologer told me to like, wait, what?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Tell me more.
Raeann Langas
Okay, so I had. Similar to you, I moved to or I had never been to New York. And when I was like 27, I was like, I'm just taking a trip to New York. And something about the energy there. I was like, you know, it's just different.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It draws you in.
Raeann Langas
It draws you in. I couldn't leave my hotel room without someone stopping me on the street being like, oh my God, I love your outfit. Or like the energy there is just good. Like people are so open and, and I don't know, I. I just loved it. And I made a tick tock. I was like. Because my friends and I had this theory that whenever we would travel somewhere, we were like, oh, this is going to be our city. This is where we're going to be like our hottest selves, you know? And we would go to a place and we'd be like, okay, not that one. Never mind, not that one. Nevermind. And then I was like, New York is my city. I found it like, I am my hottest, best self in New York. And all these people were commenting like, oh yeah, duh, haven't you heard of astro geography or astrocartography? And I was like, no, like, what are you guys talking about? And then I became obsessed with it. Okay. I was in my LA days, I was like reading tarot cards. Oh yeah. And become obsessed with astrology. Like I was so into it and I had a reading and she was like, oh yeah, New York is really better energetically for you. And I was like, okay, say less. And I just moved and it's been amazing. Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Wow.
Raeann Langas
My sister also did it and moved to Seattle and she's thriving.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Oh, I love Seattle.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
My parents both went to University of Washington.
Raeann Langas
Oh.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
We spent a lot of time there, like as kids. So pretty. Are you able to say where in New York you are?
Raeann Langas
Yeah, we're in Brooklyn.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love Brooklyn.
Raeann Langas
Yeah. Yeah. I've never lived in Manhattan, but I'm really happy in Brooklyn and it's so easy to get into the city and I just, I. I kind of am the type of person. I'm like, I think I like it. Like I just kind of run around in my life and I'm like, oh, like, yeah, I don't I'm trying to work on being, like, more. How do I feel? How actually, like, present am I?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
And we've been traveling a lot recently, and just being in LA and being back in Colorado, I'm like, no, I really love New York. Like, it's. I'm very happy there.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Your landlord's son made you tiramisu.
Raeann Langas
Oh, my God, that. That is so crazy. You remember that?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Literally, I didn't. My producer did.
Raeann Langas
Oh, I. No, I moved into my place and literally, their son had made me a tiramisu with, like, a little welcome note.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
See, that's amazing.
Raeann Langas
So I was like, the hospitality is crazy.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay. What is one piece of decor that makes it feel like you're home in your place? Like, what's something that if someone walks in, they're like, oh, yeah, that's her.
Raeann Langas
That's a good question. Oh. Oh, my gosh. I have this. Well, literally, that is her. I had this, like, 3D. 3D.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Like, sculpture.
Raeann Langas
Not. It's a sculpture. So it's 3D of my actual body. You go, and you. I want that down. You have to do. I want to do. Yeah, you strip down and you can do it. Like, a lot of women do it when they're pregnant or something to commemorate, you know, where their body was at during that time. So you go. You go naked and they take, like, a 3D scan of your body, and then they make this gorgeous sculpture. So I have. This is very Samantha Jones to me. I have this.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love her same.
Raeann Langas
I have this naked bust of myself in my apartment.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I'm gonna do that for my next gift for my husband. As selfish as that makes me, but, like, how iconic.
Raeann Langas
That's really selfless of you.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I.
Raeann Langas
So nice of you.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Thank you. I love that.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
See, I love celebrating the woman's body. And, like, I. I told David because we're doing our bathroom remodel soon, and I was like, I literally want to invest in, like, a piece of art. I saw one in Paris, but we couldn't travel home with it. Of, like, a painting of just naked women's bodies.
Raeann Langas
I have a lot of naked women in my apartment.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love it.
Raeann Langas
I really do. It's. I just love, you know, for so long, it's like, we're taught to, like, hate. Hate ourselves, hate our bodies. And I'm like, no. I'm like, put them everywhere.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
But that's why I love Europe, because they don't shame it.
Raeann Langas
I know.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It's like, you can walk around topless at the beach in Italy all you want. I don't give a. Okay, if you could delete one fashion trend from history, what would it be?
Raeann Langas
Honestly? I know they. I know people say they're coming back, but are you.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I think you're thinking of what I was gonna say.
Raeann Langas
What are you gonna say?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I was gonna say skinny jeans.
Raeann Langas
I was gonna say skinny jeans because you know what? You know what my answer was Healed sneakers. But I wore heel sneakers at Coachella,
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
not the wedge sneakers.
Raeann Langas
Full on. I used to be like, oh, wedge sneakers. Like the. Delete them. Like Gone. I wore these, like, wedge puma sneakers this weekend, and I love them because you feel like you're wearing heels when you're in sneakers.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You could pull off that, though. Not a lot of people could. I mean, here's the thing with skinny jeans, they're so uncomfortable. And when you're not rail thin with no curves, they are the wrong gene for you. I would sit down, I would have a muffin top, and then it's like, if you do the high waisted ones, why does it seem like it's going from my ankle up to my tits? Like, why is it so long?
Raeann Langas
No, you're describing, like, the Joanie Topshop skinny jeans. They had a chokehold on, like, everyone. I just feel like my cat. They really said accentuate my calves and I'm not vibing with that. And also, I just feel like for so long, like, I always thought I needed to, like, with my size show you couldn't wear baggy stuff because I feel like, oh, my God, you don't
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
want to make yourself bigger. Yes.
Raeann Langas
And so I was like, oh, I need to wear tight things and like, skinny jeans. So I think I'm traumatized because now you will not. I'm like, the baggier the better. Like, I love.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Are those Ali Grace?
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I am obsessed. I love her so much.
Raeann Langas
Me too.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I have so much, so many of her jeans.
Raeann Langas
They're so good.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And like, take all my money. As soon as you walked in my house, I said, those are Ally Grace. I love them.
Raeann Langas
Yeah, they're so good. They're worth it. Because you can do a custom size too, because with vintage Levi's. Oh, my gosh. I'm like, it's so. You can't. It's so hard to find your size. It's so, so difficult. I'm like, I tell girls it is worth it to invest. Just give her your measurements. And these are my most worn pair of jeans. I wear them like three times a week.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You wear them constantly?
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, exactly. Okay. Thank God he said skinny jeans because, you know, watch.
Raeann Langas
Catch us. We're gonna. Literally, someone's gonna clip this and we're gonna be in skinny jeans and like,
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
in like a year. And they're gonna be like, those were liars.
Raeann Langas
Listen, I'll jump on a trend. I love jumping on a trend. I do.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I. I even tried because I'll have brands send me stuff and I tried them and I was like, oh, maybe I'll just, like, tuck them in some boots, even that.
Raeann Langas
No, it wasn't working.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
For me, and I think it's more so I put something on my body and if I don't feel 110 confident, I'm not going to leave the house and I'm not going to wear it. And I also am a comfort person. So if I'm not comfortable and I'm not confident, I'm leaving the house in sweatpants because I love sweatpants, girl.
Raeann Langas
Hey. Sweatpants. Now they're like, they're cute. Put it with a little trench coat.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
Flats. It's a vibe.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Joggers.
Raeann Langas
Yes.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
A baby tee.
Raeann Langas
Yes.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Trench.
Raeann Langas
Wait, I wore this exact outfit the other day.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Ballet flats or loafers?
Raeann Langas
Yes.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Like, that's my go to travel fit.
Raeann Langas
You need the J. Have you had Jaded London sweatpants?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
No.
Raeann Langas
Oh, try some Jaded London sweatpants. They're my favorite. They're so cool.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Jaded London.
Raeann Langas
Yes.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay. Okay. I want to know because I love your style so much. What are your, like, top three to five places you like to order clothes from that you know is always going to hit?
Raeann Langas
I would say I do like Reformation.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love Ref.
Raeann Langas
I think they have a lot of, like, their stuff fits me well. And I know, like, it's cute. You can style it a lot of ways.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It'll get there quick.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yes.
Raeann Langas
Yeah. I'm like, oh, my God, I shop so much. Why can't I think of, like, where I shop?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
No, my. My stylist calls me a ref girl because anytime I have something last minute, I know it'll fit my body well.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And they have basics all the way to, like, very formal.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Dresses.
Raeann Langas
No. I love Reformation.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
I've been trying to find, like, I'm. I'm new onto Sub Stack and the Substack girls have the coolest, like, indie small brands.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Is it bad that I don't know what substack is he right? I know.
Raeann Langas
Oh, my God.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Is it a social media app?
Raeann Langas
It is a social media app, but it's. Do you like to read?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, I love reading.
Raeann Langas
Okay, so it's more. It's like a newsletter. So it's like a weekly newsletter. And it feels like when I say scroll on Substack, I feel like I'm like feeding my brain rather than like when I scroll on Tik Tok or Instagram. My brain is like disintegrating. I feel substack. You need to check out substack. I love it.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I'm going to download it.
Raeann Langas
So refreshing. But I've been trying to find, like, smaller cool brands to. To, you know, I Don't know. I'm kind of over. I'm kind of over revolve. I'm kind of over. Like, I don't know, Gabe, where do I shop? I'm like, I can't think of what. Where am I?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Do you like mesh?
Raeann Langas
Oh, love mesh.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love mesh.
Raeann Langas
Love meshki. Because they have really good sizes too. They go up to, like, 3x and so amazing. And that's so cute. I literally have on my sub stack every other week. I do, like, a roundup of cool things that are at least in a size XL or size 11 shoe. This is so hard to find.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yes.
Raeann Langas
And I'm like, where the heck skims? Honestly, like, I'm sorry, but Kim lover, I hate her. She is making.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yes.
Raeann Langas
Inclusive sizing.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yes.
Raeann Langas
And cool stuff. Like, she really is. And it's hard to find.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I am gonna be completely honest with you. I probably make an order from skims at least twice a month, not more.
Raeann Langas
You're like my friend. She literally orders skims all the time.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It's really bad. But I will say there is no bras like skims. And I was naturally very busty before kids, and then I breastfed, and then I got a lift. And so I think what it was was when you get your boobs lifted, you can't wear underwire for six months. And so I was like, I need a good, supportive bra that's not a sports bra that doesn't have underwire. And the bralette is the. Oh, I do the bralette. But I also. She has a padded one. Like, a very lightly padded one. Because I love the bralette. I do. But, like, it still shows a lot of nip for me. So it depends on what I'm wearing if I want to show nip or not. Especially if I'm doing. If I'm doing work stuff. Like, I can't have a lot of Nipshaw. Right.
Raeann Langas
Maybe not the place.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah. So she makes a padded one that does not have underwire. And it is the most comfortable bra. I literally got it. And I was like, I went back on and I ordered every single color. You're like, her underwear is incredible. I do love skims underwear and her sweat sets. Also her pajamas.
Raeann Langas
Okay.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Because I'm a pajama hoe. Like, I'm in pajamas at, like, 3pm every day.
Raeann Langas
I don't wear pajamas. I literally just wear, like, a big, oversized T shirt and, like, boy shorts from my favorite. My favorite boy shorts are Victoria's Secret. I'm more of a Victoria's Secret. Girl when it comes to bras and underwear. But I also was thinking Gap is one of my favorite places right now to shop. I love Gap.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I just wore a pair of pajamas. Yes. And by the way, I just want to say sorry, Gabe, I sleep naked. So I literally wear pajamas just so I can like walk around, like loungewear, like around the house. Like when I'm cooking dinner for my kids, like, that's when I'm wearing my pajamas. But I ordered. Okay, I need to go back because Gap really has did something to me that you mentioned that. I was at a park playdate with this mom and at school and she looked so chic.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And I was like, where is your outfit from? She had these amazing trousers and this little baby tee. And I was like, it's probably gonna be ref or something really expensive because everyone here has so much money. And she was like, oh, no, girls from Gap. And I was like, what? I see her again another time. And I was like, dude, you look amazing. Where are those jeans from? There's. They fit your body like a club. She goes, gap.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I went on Gap. I got a pair of jeans, a little baby tee. I got some pajamas. I think my total was like a hundred and ten dollars.
Raeann Langas
Everything's always on sale.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Always on sale.
Raeann Langas
It's amazing.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Fits incredible.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
But I got this. You know how Ralph Lauren makes like the fancy, like button down collared pajamas, but they're like astronomically expensive. Like the fanc pajamas. Gap makes those.
Raeann Langas
Okay.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Obviously a quarter of the. Of the price. But I. I literally got one with like little teddy bears on it the other day and I was like, gap's the new place.
Raeann Langas
No, honestly, Gap is on it. I do love Gap and I'm trying to think of where else. Tank Air. Have you tried Tank Air? It's worth the hype.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I do think I saw they just did something. They just did like an event or something. And I saw a bunch of people that I love at their event. Is it basics I want to go?
Raeann Langas
Yeah, it's. It's literally basics. And they're like, these tank tops are kind of like a more like stretchy spandex material. You don't have to wear a bra. And it just like.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yep.
Raeann Langas
You feel like, like it's like hugging your body in the best way in the summertime, literally. Gap jeans or Ali Grace jeans. A little like tank top from Tank Air. That's like my uniform.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay, so Tank Air. I'm gonna write that down. And then I need to download Sub stack. I'm gonna follow you first.
Raeann Langas
Yeah, I'll send you notes.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, I'm like, just send me a. Here's your to do list, cap of everything. Okay. So you were an SI finalist.
Raeann Langas
I was.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
That's crazy, dude.
Raeann Langas
So crazy. Honestly.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
What. First of all, you're made for it. Like, thank you. You deserve cover.
Raeann Langas
Thank you.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Such a. Such a cool thing. Tell me about the experience, because you see so much about Sports Illustrated.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
But I want to know, like, behind the scenes, like, give me the lowdown.
Raeann Langas
So last. Last year, I applied. You can apply to be, like, in their swim search is what they call it. So I. This was actually my third time applying, and I was kind of embarrassed because I was like, oh, is this embarrassing? Like, I'm doing this again? Like, and then you know what? I was like, no, I'm not gonna have that mindset, because why would I let, like, what someone else could possibly think of me stop me from doing something that I really want? So we were actually here in la. I did this, like, full shoe video, everything, to pitch myself to si, and I got it. They picked six girls out of, like, thousands and thousands that apply, and they literally told me they called me on Monday or emailed me Monday, and I was supposed to be in Miami to walk and swim week, like, that Friday. And I was like, oh, my gosh. I was freaking out. I was shaking. I was like, this is so insane. It was a such a pinch me moment. Because, I mean, SI just has such a prestigious reputation, and I feel like it's, like, a very big accomplishment to be able to say that you're. You're part of that.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
That.
Raeann Langas
And it was the highlight of my career and life walking in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show in Miami. I mean, I'm, like, hanging out, you know, Bethany Frankel, all of the. All of these people. Alona Mar. I'm like, this is so, so crazy to be part of this group. And I will say, I feel like going into this so much like a brand trip. Maybe people would think, like, oh, it's caddy, or the energy is off. I kept saying I felt like Miss Congeniality. I felt like I was in a movie. Every single girl there was so welcoming. And the girls have been doing it forever. Like, Barbie, Camille. Like, all these people would be like, Lauren Chan. They'd be like, okay, here are some tips for, you know, do your pose here, do this, do this. Truly, everyone there wanted everyone to look their best and feel their best. And it was peak girlhood. Incredible energy, and it was just so fun.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love that.
Raeann Langas
And I'm a Leo, too. So, like, walking a Runway, I was like, this is where I meant to be. Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I was gonna say, like, what are the thoughts going through your mind? Like, do you have so much adrenaline that you're just like.
Raeann Langas
I was so terrified. I was shaking, because it was probably, like, the biggest thing that I had had been a part of.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
And also, you know, like, in recent years, it's just been. There's a lot of pressure to be thin and skinny and. And curve models are working less and less. And me, Lauren Chan, and A. Chang were kind of the three, like, curve girls out of everybody. So again, I felt this responsibility to really go out there and do a really good job for all of, like, the girls who are plus size and curvy. So I felt that pressure, and I just was like, I want to go out there and look hot and really show up for them. And I think I did that. And it was just. Just such a incredible feeling, like, you did such a high.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It was crazy. Amazing.
Raeann Langas
Thank you.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And also, you just look like you belonged up there.
Raeann Langas
Thank you.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You know, but I love hearing that everyone was so kind to each other
Raeann Langas
because you just never know. No, it was the best. And, like, all of, like, the girls are the six finalists. Like, even though it's like, you're competing, quote, unquote, to be in the magazine, it was. We just had the best time, and it was so, so, so fun. And those relationships that I made there, I'm. I. I've just feel so grateful. And everyone was truly, like, so welcoming and the best energy.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love that.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Would you do it again?
Raeann Langas
Yeah. I'm like, hey, Sports Illustrated, see you. I'm like, hey, guys, I am available.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You're like, oh, look at that. My schedule's clear.
Raeann Langas
I know. No, definitely, I want to go back for Miami swim week and do. Do it again and still, like, foster that relationship with Sports Illustrated. That's still a goal. I will be in the magazine. Mark my words.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Absolutely.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It's giving cover girl.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
This show is sponsored by Better Help. Better Help has been a life changer for me when it comes to having therapy and the convenience of my own home. Therapy has truly changed my life. Whatever is keeping you up at night therapy with better help can help you check in with yourself and gain support from experienced professionals. That's one of my favorite parts about having a therapist is that I feel like I was always emotionally unloading on my poor husband and I needed a third party perspective of someone that wasn't so involved in my life to give me great feedback and try to help me deal with emotions in a healthier way and how I can convey my feelings and communicate with other people. BetterHelp is the world's largest online therapy platform. Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay, you recently mentioned struggling with being a people pleaser. So I want to know what's the hardest no you've had to say this year.
Raeann Langas
I mean I think like yeah I definitely struggle with being a people pleaser. I think a lot of like career wise I've started to say no to things because I'm like oh I feel like I should do that or I feel like I I'm just doing it out of obligation and I feel like also comes with age. I think too you learn to like differentiate what is worth your time and energy and especially when it comes to like friendships and relationships. Right now I don't really have a lot of female friendships in New York, which is something I really want to work on. But I think I've just had to, like, really? Yeah. Start saying no to maybe relationships or. Or work things that I just am, like, you know what? I maybe would have said yes to that before, but I think I was saying yes out of obligation, not because I really wanted to do it.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It totally. I. It's so hard, especially because you're. You're 30.
Raeann Langas
31. 31.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay. So we're about the same age. Because I'm gonna be 31 this week, I think.
Raeann Langas
Oh, my God. Happy birthday.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Thanks. I think when you're in your 30s as a woman, you do value your. Your time in a different way. And it's really hard to make new friendships because you kind of quickly realize who's a bullshitter and who's peerless and who's worth your time and who's not.
Raeann Langas
And I don't know if you feel like this, but I feel like it's. It's been. I feel like I click with less people then maybe in my 20s or younger, where, you know, you're just kind of, like, vibing, like, whatever. But now it's like, who you give your energy to feels very intentional. And when I. But when I do click with someone, like a girl, I'm like, oh, my God, yes. Like, I'm like, oh. So the best feeling, and that is something that I think is so important to me is female friendships. And I really need to find my group of. Of women in New York, and I'm gonna, like. I keep saying I'm gonna have to just start setting up friend dates and being, like, sliding into dms.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Do what you gotta do, because you never know who you'll meet, and then you'll never know who you'll meet through that other person too, which is really nice, too.
Raeann Langas
Yeah.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You know, what do you think is something that people don't see or know about you off camera?
Raeann Langas
I feel like, truly, I really try to be as I am, like, like, in real life, off. Off camera, as the same as I am on camera. But I would say I feel like I am definitely, like, much like, oh, the sun. The sun's picked me in my head. I'm, like, weird. I'm super weird. Like, I, like, Gabe always is like, oh, my God, you're such, like, a freak. Like, I'm, like, so weird and silly. And, you know, you don't always catch that on social media. Like, you don't always show that, or
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
you don't want to because it's something that people can pick apart. Yes. You know, I feel like that that silly, goofy side is something that's more sacred to people because if they don't know you personally and they don't know your sarcasm or your silliness, it's like
Raeann Langas
they're gonna be like, she's annoying or annoying, whatever.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, yeah.
Raeann Langas
Like I'm just like very goofy, silly.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
We like to end our episodes with rapid fire. So I have five, six rapid fire questions for you. Ready?
Raeann Langas
Okay, let's go.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
If you had to describe your vibe as a cocktail, what would it be?
Raeann Langas
Spicy.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Like a marg.
Raeann Langas
Like spicy margarita.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
What's your drink of choice?
Raeann Langas
I would say probably I do love a spicy margarita. The tahin on the rim. That thing. Yeah, floated up.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
That thing is favorite.
Raeann Langas
That thing is gone.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
David makes chamoy from scratch. Like he'll like boil it on the stove and like rim our drinks. Like he'll do watermelon one. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Raeann Langas
My God.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I know. He's Mr. Mom up there. That slices him.
Raeann Langas
I was gonna say what a. What a king. Like, what a homemaker. We love that.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I know, right? Okay, what is one song that if it comes on in a bar, you are immediately grabbing a microphone probably.
Raeann Langas
Man, I feel like a woman. We were just had this amazing. If you ever go to New York, you have to go to this gay bars called Blazing Saddles.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love gay bars.
Raeann Langas
I haven't had that much fun in so long. It was like my dream, dream situation. I was like, I want to work here. It was like you like leave influencing.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You start working at this gay bar.
Raeann Langas
Literally. Like it was am sing and that they played that song. It was just so much fun. Like whenever that song comes on, I'm like, hello. And also I'm really bad at knowing the words to songs. Like I could listen to a song hundreds of times and sing the wrong words. But that one I actually do know.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay, what's the bar called?
Raeann Langas
Blazing Saddles.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Blazing Saddles. Okay. So good to know. What's your I'm too tired to function takeout order. Like, where are you ordering from? What's your order?
Raeann Langas
There's this food truck in New York called Bea.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Oh yeah.
Raeann Langas
It is so good. I get like three birya tacos. It's so good.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
So I. It might not be set up yet when you leave, but over by Bristol Farms there is this tent that gets set up and these guys made the most amazing carne, carne asada tacos quesadillas oh, my God. They'll do fresh pineapple on top. There's mango.
Raeann Langas
It is.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Is insane. Like, David will go and you get like six tacos for like $12.
Raeann Langas
I'm not kidding. I want to go after this.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, you should go.
Raeann Langas
Okay.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
What's a secret hobby or obsession of yours that your followers would never guess? Like, are you like a video game girl? Do you knit? Do you do, like, pottery? You a painter?
Raeann Langas
I wish. I need more hobbies. Like, I really need more hobbies. I'm like, it's actually kind of embarrassing. Well, I'm gonna start running again. We literally just went for a run today. Like, I'm gonna become a run girl.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
That's amazing.
Raeann Langas
I'm like, I'm gonna like, I need to get back into my health and wellness era.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, see, you know, running couldn't be me.
Raeann Langas
It's. It's a struggle.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
It's just hard for me because I really can't lock in. People are like, I get the runner's high disconnect. No, no.
Raeann Langas
I've never felt. Feel about that.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Every step I'm like, mother effing. I'm like, when is this gonna end? Am I any closer?
Raeann Langas
I actually went on my first two mile run this morning. We did like a little run club.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Incredible.
Raeann Langas
And the fact that I could run two miles without stopping, I was like, okay, wait, this is actually way better than I thought. It was slow. I don't care.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay. But you running consecutively for two miles straight is amazing. It's very impressive. Thank you.
Raeann Langas
But of course I'm gonna post about that now.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
So that's as you should. Making your entire personality.
Raeann Langas
I'm like, could I. Like, I probably should make. Maybe keep something secret that I don't post online.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
But no, I want you to. Are you kidding me? If you're doing like that, brag about it. Take a pic. Do the, do the, the runner thing that they do. Really take a picture of their watch and show how long they ran.
Raeann Langas
I'm like, if I'm gonna be running the. Everyone is gonna hear about that. I am a runner now.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Oh. I literally post a picture every time I finish a workout. Six days a week. And I know my followers are so tired of it, but I want everyone to know that I worked out that day. I don't give up. Yeah. Hello. I dedicate an hour to my time. I'm not going to talk about it. No, I'm going to talk about it.
Raeann Langas
I'm sorry.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah, exactly. Okay, last question. If you weren't a model or a creator, what do you think you'd be doing for a living? Do you think you'd be working at a magazine place?
Raeann Langas
No. Oh, I think I would be. Well, two different things. I think I would be an interior designer. I would love to do that. I love all of that stuff. I think I would. I would love to, like, if I ever went back to school for something, maybe it would be that.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay.
Raeann Langas
Or I would love to host, like, retreats for women. I like, picture myself having like a surf camp in Portugal or something. Like off the grid, like, and just having women come, eat amazing food, learn how to surf. That would be my. That would be what I would be doing.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You could do that, but like, body confident.
Raeann Langas
Yeah, I could.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
You know, like, you should do that now. Followers. How cool would that be? I really.
Raeann Langas
I just have to learn how to surf and then. Yeah, there we go. Minor detail. Yeah, yeah, no, I could do that. But I would. I. If I wasn't doing this, like, I would. I think I would not have any social media at all. Like, I would be one of those people that's like, oh, I don't have an Instagram. Sorry.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay. So in, in five to 10 years with your platform, what's like a dream you have? Like, do you see yourself creating a brand? Do you see yourself, like, designing clothes? What do you realistically hope for in the future?
Raeann Langas
I think right now I see myself starting a brand. I would love to kind of step back and be more creative in that way. I specifically love wide calf boots. Like, I. I love boots like from literally like the background. My phone. I'm like seven years old. Like, all I wanted for Christmas was a pair of. I called them Spice Girl boots. They were just like black leather platform boots that my Grandma bought a 7 year old. Like, what iconic. They were this. They were this tall.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
I love your grandma.
Raeann Langas
No, she's. See, she was amazing. But I would love to. Love to start a line of shoes or boots in wide calves that are actually cool and like trendy, kind of very vintage. Inspired from like, you know, the when. When shoes were cool. Like Prada, Dior, all of those vintage kind of like 90s styles. Girls who have big casters can't. Cannot get those.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
So I was gonna say that's a huge missing market. So it's genius. I'm like, go find your name and trade market right now.
Raeann Langas
I know, honestly. So I'm like, I could see myself doing, doing something like that. I actually had this. I was at this event and this. There was an astrologer there, and they're
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
just, you just attract these.
Raeann Langas
I'm doing the best PR for astrologers ever. And she, like, rolled the. You rolled the dice and you asked a question, and I was like, what does my life look like in five years? And she's like, she looks at me and the thing is, like, I eat this stuff.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
I have to tell you the time, another time of how I was, like, almost scammed by a medium out of like $30,000. 30 grand.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah.
Raeann Langas
It's a story for another time.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Okay.
Raeann Langas
But I, I, she was like, the best words I can describe your life in five years is a rich witch. And I was like, yes. I was like, that is the best thing you could have said. She's like, you are rich. You are living your best life. You're very in tune with your femininity. You're surrounded by like, she's like, nature trees. I was like, yes, that's it. Perfect and perfect. So maybe it's because I'm like, I've created this shoe line.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Yeah. I think that's, that's in the plan.
Raeann Langas
Who knows?
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
Well, thank you so much for being here. I think you're obsessed with you. Always your biggest fan. I hope you have the best time on vacation.
Raeann Langas
Thank you.
Host (possibly Avery Woods)
And I will send you all the wrecks, by the way, please, to where you're going because I need you to eat at some certain places and go to certain beaches and do all the things.
Raeann Langas
Yeah, I need that.
