Yes. Well, I mean, I think our current events have been shocking. I mean, the biggest one I think we have to talk about is what happened at the White House Correspondent's Dinner.

This is the. And folks, what you may not know is that we were at Mar A Lago on Saturday. I received an award for criminal justice reform. And you looked stunning.

I was so honored and blessed to be had to have each one of them, one on each arm. And it was.

Which we met so many amazing people that. From all different walks of life.

Who are truly making it there.

And what life's mission. Yes. And what is so amazing to me is that President Trump has all of this bad stuff that's said about him. And I'm not going to sit here and say that every decision that we make is the right decision.

And. But President Trump gets this huge rap that he's racist. But yet Mar A Lago was full of African American or people of color when we were there on Saturday.

The makeup of the room. And you and I spoke about that, you know, when I was doing my speec, that if the world and the press really reported on that.

Well, exactly. And so I just feel like that it was a wonderful week. It was a wonderful opportunity, and I was blessed to be able to get that award. But then that happened.

And I'm thinking to myself, what is really going on in this world?

And, folks, I want to be very clear that if I love you, I love you. It doesn't matter what the color of your skin is. It doesn't matter what your educational background is, how much money you have, who you vote for. You can attest to that. Because the people that I.

What, you sleep with? Nothing.

[Todd Chrisley]

No, I don't care. I mean, back in the day, I'd have probably slept with you or at least half of you. But now I'm a gentleman. But I just feel like that there is so much divide because that's what. That's what both sides want. Because if they can keep chaos and, you know, the house is burning, right, then everyone focuses on the house burning.

Right.

Not on who set it on fire.

Right.

And I don't want to. I don't want to be a part

of that, but I do feel like that after this happened in D.C. i know some of the news outlets were talking about how when they were asking President Trump, you know, questions that it kind of had a different tone. You know, people seem to be a little more coming together, not so, like, constantly giving him down the road. And I heard someone say President Trump is not afraid of the hard questions. He just wants fair.

Right.

[Julie Chrisley]

Fair questions, you know, like. And whether you believe that or not. Okay, it sounds good. I mean, sounds. Makes sense to me. But they were saying how the media was. Seemed to be a little more like, let's come together, let's. Because there were people from all walks of life in that. In that room, in that room, you know, there. You know, and so I did like that part of it. I actually saw where Caroline Levitt, she has. She was supposed to be on maternity leave after that dinner, and she's now extended her maternity leave. You know, she's not leaving for maternity leave right now, and she's getting ready to have a baby any minute. But just because of everything that's going on right now, I think that about.

I didn't know that but she's.

[Julie Chrisley]

Yeah, she's, she's.

She's like you. She's like until the day she has.

She. She's just unbelievable.

I think that for me, when I listen to, to what you just said, that there is so much of the pitting, one against the other that has caused the whole world to catch on fire. And you know, and again, for me, folks, I don't care what you do in the privacy of your bedroom. I don't care who you're friends with, don't care how you vote. I care about how you treat me, how you treat mine, and how I witness you treating other people. Well.

And I listened to another interview and they were talking about this alleged suspect, the suspect that they have in custody and how he doesn't really fit the mold because it wasn't like he was some. He was very, very well educated. He was a tutor, he was a teacher for God's sake. He was like a productive member of society based off of this interview. So he wasn't just like in his parents basem, you know, but they were the whole part of me saying that it was that they were saying that this is something that is learned, this hate that keeps spewing and it's pouring into people just over time. It's sticking. Obviously it's sticking or we wouldn't be having the crazy things that are happening now happen, you know? So I just thought that was an interesting perspective, like it's not just a bad person that, that this hate is being poured, continuously poured into people. And when you, and you talk about, you know, that it was, it's been tampered down a little bit, you know, all the rhetoric, you know, with what has happened with this last shooting, but this attempt, our attempted last shooting. She tries to be so politically correct.

Well, because we don't have, I mean, listen, it's a, it's an attempt. Nobody. Yes, the Secret Service was shot, but he's fine, perfectly fine. He had a bulletproof vest on. And people are innocent until proven guilty.

[Todd Chrisley]

Not necessarily.

[Julie Chrisley]

Well, I'm just saying.

But you know, going back to the gaslighting, at the end of the day, I don't think that it has anything to do with that. The press is now kind of taking a step back and wanting to analyze things. I think that it has more to do with the people of America, of this country, starting to realize that they're being fed bullshit by the press.

Right. Well, I don't, I don't know that we can go that far. Like this was Just one instance when after this happened and President Trump addressed everyone and he took questions, everybody was kind of playing nice. That doesn't mean that they're going to continue to play nice. We know that can change in the moment.

[Todd Chrisley]

Well, I mean, a prime example was Wolf Blitzer. I mean, I thought the man was dead. I didn't even know he was still alive. But he was there at this dinner and he gave a whole blown up, exaggerated version of what happened. The way that he explained it. No, everyone says he's lying. I mean, that's a big deal right now. What? Check it right now and see if Wolf Blitzer's story was true.

That's crazy.

[Todd Chrisley]

But he went on, he went on the news, did an interview and told this whole concocted story that was nothing like the actual events that took place. Now, folks, that's what they're feeding us. That's what, when we go on the news, that these people that. Because when I was growing up, you know, you had Walter Cronkite eyebrows, you had Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, Tom Brokaw. You had Barbara Walters, you know, you had real journalists, right? You know, Leslie Abrams, you know, all of that whole, that whole group that was like, noted for credibility, right? And now we've got. For shit, that's what we've got. We've got people that are pandering to the camera that wants to be a celebrity. They're no longer wanting to be interested in being a journalist. They're interested in being a celebrity because the celebrity is what generates the higher number that they get on their contract. Not the journalistic value.

Right.

It's the shock way.

And, well, and some.

And so, you know, for me, I don't believe, I don't listen to none of that shit. I'm going to do my research before I even form an opinion on it. And it's hard for me, you know, yourself, I get so upset. I mean, we're talking about. Let's just talk about this funky ass Swalwell who I can't stand, but everyone on the Hill knew that he was up there being nasty and messy. I want us to be good people, and I believe that the world consistently is full of good people if they're allowed to be good people. You can have a good person, but even a good person can be provoked only so much.

And you can't keep getting poked and poked and poked before you finally raise up and some will slap the shit out of you.

Because, listen, in those turning point events, there are people that come to those turning point events that have a completely different agenda, look, and mindset than what, say, Savannah would have. Right. And that's really what Charlie wanted, was for everybody to be able to have a voice. Right. So I think that is continuing to follow the legacy that he set forth.

I don't believe that anything will stand. I don't care what organization it is. I don't care what charity you're working for. None of that will ever be forever until you can look at everyone thinking that one day they can be a part of.

We're going to do this for the right reasons. That's who we need to be. And that's who I always felt like growing up, that we were.

At the end of the day, we are our own worst enemies. So last year the plantings were fifteen hundred dollars per household. This year they're going to be 1725. Right. Congress is the, is running the HOA.

So they just throw any damn number they want to own it and say, homeowner, pay it. Yeah, pay it or we're going to put a lien against you. Pay it or we're going to seize your income tax. Pay it or we're going to seize. We're going to attach your payroll check. And that shouldn't be happening.

You are literally putting your money in a bank the, with the government and saying, piss it away however you want to. Folks, if I wanted my money to be pissed away, I got kids that can do that. But I'm not going to listen to it no more because it's not real. So I had to. I had to go ahead and acknowledge that Inga Rose is not real. But I do. I did love her. Whatever Generated music or whatever.

Folks, yesterday we were coming through the airport in Palm Beach. We're going through security, and Julie gets. I put all her stuff on the thing, get the suitcases put up there, all that. You got to go through and stand up there and just wait. And then when they come through, I get them off and hand them to you, right? And she takes off like a bat out of hell, like she does in her car. And I'm like, where is she going in such a hurry?

Normally, he walks away from me, walks ahead of me. So I thought, I'm gonna get him. I'm gonna walk on to the gate. And now that way, I mean, he'll catch up to me, even though if I walk off, right?

[Todd Chrisley]

So then. And I'm standing at the doorway up here watching because she's realized she's gotten too far away from me, you know, like a child does. They're going to go so far, but then they're going to turn around and look for their mom and daddy. That's what she was doing. And I'm looking through that door, and she's looking around, trying to figure out where the Hell is he? Where is he? So I call her on the phone, and she can't see me. And I said, julie, get your ass back up here. Something was in your purse, and they're not letting me leave until you bring that bag back.

Back.

[Todd Chrisley]

She said, my purse, I don't have any. I said, get up here. She or she comes with her little carry on marching up through there, right where she goes, right that corner. I jumped out, scared to live a piss out of her. She said, I can't shock her.

She said, he scared me.

[Todd Chrisley]

Shock. I can't stand you.

[Julie Chrisley]

Oh, my God.

[Todd Chrisley]

Then we got beside this lush on the plane. I don't care. I'm telling it. She was 4ft tall. If she was like.

And so maybe it just didn't take much to.

So she gets on stringy hair, bad color cat hair on the. On her sweatshirt that she pulled out of a bag that. I don't know where the bag came from. And I'm looking at her and I looked at Julie and I think it was dog hair. Cat, dog, whatever.

Yeah.

[Todd Chrisley]

And that lets you know that literally the drapes match the carpet with her. So she. I'm against the window and I'm trying to. My mom is. Because you know that I'm good about that. On the plane, I stay against the wall. Don't talk to me. And so Julie said, todd. Because folks, y' all act like that I'm the one that causes all this shit. If people would not bring it to me, I'd be fine. But I have this one that's going to notice everything thing. And she goes, I have my earpods in. Take it out. What? She just ordered two Melo.

No Miller Light.

[Todd Chrisley]

A Miller line. She just ordered two. I'm like, I don't give a shit. And so Judy. But two minutes later, she goes. And I was literally listening to Conway Twitty Linda on my Mind. And I said, what is it? She has her own koozie. I said, what? She said, she has her own koozie. And I said, what the hell? And then I look over and she's got to brave that little thing that you stick your drink in. And I thought, okay, we got a problem. This chick's got a problem. If you travel with a koozie, you got a problem. And she said, the steward came over. He goes, she said, where's the TV? Where's the TV? And he goes, Ma', am, there's no TVs on this flight. And she goes, you mean to tell me I paid fifteen Hundred dollars and there's no tv. What do you want me to do? And I am looking at you. I said, this is batshit crazy. And so I'm looking at her, and the guy was so good, he said, use your phone like everyone else is doing. She said, but I don't have a charger. I don't have a charger. I think I brought the wrong charger. I brought the charger for my iPad, not my phone. And this is a set. And I'm looking at her and I told you, I said, nah, I'm not gonna do this for an hour.

You have a charger. I said, no.

She scared the out of Julie.

I said, no.

[Todd Chrisley]

Julie was like, literally, she said, do you have a charger? She said, no, ma'.

You didn't say no. You said like you were scared, like she was getting ready to walk a dog on you, all four feet of her. Judah said, no, no, ma', am, I don't. And she looked at me and said, well, I don't know what I'm going to do. And I have anxiety. This other woman across promise. She said, here, take mine. Because she's trying to shut her up. And she said, here, take mine. She said, thank you so much. You have no idea what you've done for me. And I'm thinking to myself, now we know what she did for us. So she plugs her charger, her phone in, and she said to what are they called again?

Miller Lights.

Two Miller Lights. The steward is standing there. We haven't even taken off yet, folks. This is not mid air. We haven't even taken off yet.

Yeah.

And she goes, two Miller Lights. He goes, I got you when we get in the air. Did she not? And then she takes her hair. She takes her hair and pulls it over her head. She's going like this. And I looked at Judah and I said, I'm going to tell you something right now. If you think I'm going to put up this crazy heifer, I said, for an hour and 48 minutes, you've lost it. Judah said, todd, please don't say anything. Now, keep in mind, folks, my source of information of what's really going on is coming from the person who's telling me not to say, well, you know,

you got involved now, so.

So now you want to be involved.

Yeah, whatever.

So then I hear, when we're in the air, I hear her say something. And I said, who are you talking to? She said, she wasn't talking to me. She wasn't talking because I was Getting ready to go off on her. That. Who do you think you are talking to my wife like this?

But no, she went talking.

[Todd Chrisley]

It just. She wasn't talking to me. She wasn't talking to me. So as we get, I mean, and when I tell you this chick, she went to a lot of keg parties in her life. What's that thing that hose on it when you, when you drink out of a barrel or something? A keg, what they call that though?

[Julie Chrisley]

A keg?

[Todd Chrisley]

What is it when they got that hose pipe to it or whatever. Yeah, what is it? Yeah, that's it. This chick has funneled in her life, okay. Because she downed those beers in two gulps and she's looking around like, oh, I need to have another. Like, you know what happened to those? You scarfed them down. So.

[Julie Chrisley]

Yeah, as well. It was an eventful flight.

[Todd Chrisley]

And then as we're going to land.

[Julie Chrisley]

Yes.

[Todd Chrisley]

All of a sudden the plane jerks straight back up and starts climbing.

[Julie Chrisley]

We were already like, you could almost on the ground. Yeah.

[Todd Chrisley]

And then the plane jerks straight up and starts going back up. And I looked at you and I said, shit's getting ready to go down. And what I did, first thing I did, I text my kids to tell them that I loved them. And. And this woman sitting next to us who's now at this point drunk, why you think they did that? I said, what?

[Julie Chrisley]

She said, well, we about to collide. I said, honey, I don't know.

[Todd Chrisley]

And she said, so do you think we were going to. Do you think we were going to collide? I said, I don't know. Talk to her. And so I'm looking out the window and we're still climbing. And so I looked over at the stewardess who was the lovely. We had the loveliest missed crew.

[Julie Chrisley]

Yeah.

[Todd Chrisley]

And I looked over at her and I said, what's going on? And she goes, I said, because, you know, literally a week ago, two planes southwest almost collided right here in Nashville. And here we are landing in Nashville. I need to know what the real is right now.

[Julie Chrisley]

And then the pilot was like, he did come on and say another plane was slow leaving the Runway. Which tells me he was getting ready

[Todd Chrisley]

to rear end that.

[Julie Chrisley]

Yeah.

[Todd Chrisley]

Yes. I'm like, nah, we're not doing this. So as we're coming down, she goes, excuse me, I need to know when I land what gate I'm supposed to go to read your boarding pass. And when she got up to walk out of there, she jumped. I mean she. And bow legged, bless her heart. You could have parked a semi truck between them legs. I don't care. You saw.

Was an eventful flight.

[Todd Chrisley]

It was an eventful flight, yes. Let's just say it was an eventful flight. But we had a time in Palm Beach. Yeah, we had a great time there. Great time with Savannah.

Yes.

You and I had a wonderful lunch at a wonderful. What was it called?

[Julie Chrisley]

Pizza. Pizza al fresco or something like that.

[Todd Chrisley]

It was so good. So if you go to Palm beach, go to pizza al fresco. Whatever. The service was amazing. The food was delicious. And then we had a lovely dinner in Jupiter on Saturday evening with some friends of ours there. And what was the name of that place?

[Julie Chrisley]

I don't even know.

[Todd Chrisley]

But it's owned by Michael Jordan is one of the owners.

[Julie Chrisley]

Yeah.

[Todd Chrisley]

Yes. And. And so we loved. I mean, that was a lovely, lovely dinner. And they have two of the most beautiful children in the world ever. And they were so well behaved. Now everyone knows I love a well behaved child.

Yeah.

If they're pretty and well behaved, I'm gonna love it.

If you lack in those areas, your grandparents will love you. But they were wonderful. So we had a wonderful time there. And I got to tell them what I did to you at Discovery, at the Discovery development. So we go there to look at this property and Discovery. What's it called? Discovery. What?

I don't. I don't know.

It's a discovery property. And so we go there to look at this property and. And we're on the golf cart riding all through the guys showing. Showing us all the different lots, you know, June build on and what have you. And Julie, I'm always messing with her.

Shocker.

So as she's walking in front of me, I lean forward, I go, julie, what have you sat down in? And she goes, touch shut the hell up. Because she's getting ready to go into the club, folks. And she said, I said, go to the bathroom night now. And she said, oh, my God, here. She takes off to go to the bathroom. I go in there where Savannah's standing and I said, wait, give it one, two. Judah goes around the corner. I said, she's getting ready to say, you know, you're such a liar. I swear to God, you need to grow up. As she comes walking over, she goes, he's such a liar, Savannah. He needs to grow up. And we both just busted out laughing because I knew what you were going to do.
