Sorrow, prayer in sorrow, and faith in sorrow

By recounting the Lord's faithfulness in the past, our hearts are strengthened to praise and trust Him in the present.

Sin leaves us crushed, exposed, and without excuse; but grace teaches us not to run from God in shame, but to cry out to Him for mercy, through our Savior.

Prayer - Jesus' command to pray, His greatest act of obedience, and a new command to His disciples.

God's children are called to walk as people of His love and light in a dark world.

Through Christ, we are free to put off what harms the body and put on what heals the body.

Our new life in Christ is lived out by the renewal of our minds.

God gives gifts to His people for the purposes of equipping and maturity.

The Cross frees us from self-centeredness to pursue unity in the church.

God strengthens us by His Spirit, roots us in the love of Christ, and fills us with His fullness for His glory.
