Hello, everybody. Welcome to another episode of Christ with Coffee on Ice. I am your host, Ali Yost. It is a joy and honor to be here with you guys. Hi. Happy Friday, everyone. How are we feeling? Are we feeling so good? We have our coffee on ice. We do. We do. We have our coffee on ice. We have our Christ right here. Well, yeah, here he is. But in our hearts. And also praise God. Thank you, Jesus, for the Bible. So we've got our Christ, we've got our coffee on ice. Little ASMR moment. That wasn't very satisfying. Okay, Ellie, don't quit your day job, girl. Okay. I hope that everyone has been having an amazing week. I hope that we are filled with so much hope and joy for the future. Thank you, God, for Jeremiah 29:11, which says that he has plans for our lives, Right? Amen. Okay. God has plans for us. Plans to give us hope in a future. Thank you. Not to harm us. So, yeah, that's a promise from the Lord about your life, God. Guys, today we're kind of talking about something fun. I, like, barely touched on the gifts of the spirit a while back, and today I felt led to talk about dreams. And I'm not just saying, like the dreams, like the daydreaming that we have with God, because those are important. Always dream with God and never think that any dream is too big. That's something I'm still walking through. But it's true. That's just our God is. He's like, you think you can dream big? And then he's like, try bigger. So dream big with God during the day for sure. But we're gonna be talking about dreaming at night, like in our sleep dreams as we're sleeping. And we're gonna talk about that specific gift that God gives us through his holy Spirit. And it's a cool gift. And if anything, I'm just gonna share. I'm gonna testify to my experience with dreaming and we may even touch on like, okay, what does it feel like to get a dream from God? What does it feel like to have a dream kind of in our flesh? Or maybe even a dream that's sent by the enemy? Cause I do believe that all three of those things can. Can happen. So I'm just going to speak from a POV of ally and what I have experienced. Now, dreaming is something I would say, fairly new for me still. Obviously my whole walk with the Lord hasn't been that long. But we're here, we're rocking, we're kicking it, we're sanctified, we're made new. We're in our new life. So. But dreaming hasn't been something that I have done for the entirety of my journey with the Lord. Right. These things kind of take time. And so if you're a new little baby Christian first. First off, welcome home. Welcome home. Finally. Took you long enough. Just kidding. There's no condemnation in those who are in Christ Jesus. What am I on today? Probably too much caffeine. I'm going to take another sip. Okay. What was I saying? Yeah. So if you're a baby Christian, there's no pressure to, like, get all these things right as you start walking with God. Have patience with yourselves. If. And grace. You know, obviously we are supposed to be earnestly and eagerly asking for the gifts God wants us to ask. And I don't think it's like a game that he plays. I think he just wants to help build our confidence in coming to him, knowing that he is provider. He's Abba Father, and He wants to give us gifts, but he wants to encourage us in asking. It goes Back to Matthew 7, 7, I think that says, ask and you will receive. Seek and you'll find. Knock and the door will be open to you. So he wants to teach us as children, as his kiddos, that there's so much power in asking. And he. He wants to help build that muscle in us. And so a lot of times, I guess sometimes God could probably just give you a gift and boop, you didn't even ask for that. I know that that's probably his heart too. But I do believe that God has a heart of wanting us to ask and, like, want it and ask Him. And I also think that there's a lot of power and testimony in being like, I asked God for this and then he delivered. There's a lot of power in that. There's a lot of, like, glory to God, you know, where you're like, I had this specific prayer and this thing that I really wanted, and I prayed and I asked and then God delivered. So. So it's giving glory to God, it points to the Lord, and it's just a. It's a testimony to his faithfulness. You know, when we ask and he delivers, that's a testimony of his faithfulness and his promises. So when it comes to the gifts of the Spirit, he wants us to ask for them. But yeah, I mean, also trusting and surrendering though, too, knowing that, like, his timing is perfect and so there could be gifts that you really, really want. And you. You have been earnestly praying for but take heart and know I'm just here to encourage if, if this is you, that it will come. Don't stop praying about it, don't stop asking for it. It will come in his perfect timing. Because there's two parts to that. You know, where it's like ask and you will receive. But it's interesting that that verse doesn't say ask and you will immediately receive or knock and the door will immediately be opened. I do believe that that can happen for sure. God has showed us that, that he can immediately deliver a gift, right? But sometimes it's not. And so there has to be like surrender in that as well of knowing that. Like, okay, he didn't immediate been praying and I, and I prayed and I didn't immediately get it. I trust his timing. There's a reason to why there's an air quote delay to this gift being delivered. And so for me, I'll just talk about like, I don't know, I guess the type of dreamer I was before I knew the Lord. I was just dreaming like any other person. A lot of it didn't make sense. A lot of it felt like the flesh. I know that a dream is out of the flesh when it just doesn't make like a whole lot of sense. Now listen, how do I, how, how do I word this? Because sometimes I get prophetic dreams and I'm like, it doesn't really make sense until I bring it to the Lord and I'm like, okay, we to God. I need you to show me what this means. So it's not that prophetic dreams when you wake up makes like total sense. But I do think there's a distinct difference between when I dream and it's just, it's definitely just ally. And when I dream and it's from God and I, I think a big indicator is like how I feel when I wake up. So after I've had a dream from God. But no matter what kind of dream it is, if I wake up feeling peace, even if the dream is low key, not like sunshine and rainbows and butterflies, if I feel that peace, I think that's a huge indicator that it's from God. Even if it's low key, disturbing, like, even if it's kind of giving warning, which we can get all. I don't want to get again. We'll get to that in a second. I've had dreams like that where I still feel a lot of peace though. Also I feel like when I'm dreaming out of my flesh, like things just start to like, morph and, like, not make sense. And I'm, like, growing another, and I'm, like, turning and I have tentacles. And it's just like, those kind of dreams, you know, where it's just kind of giving. Girl, what. Where are we? What's going on? This isn't even, like, a story. Yep. You know what I mean? And another thing, too, this is just me testifying to my own experience is when I get dreams from God, they are so unbelievably vivid. Like, they're just very vivid. It feels like life. Like, it feels like real life. And I think that if you're a dreamer and you're listening to this, I feel like you can agree with that, right? Like, when I get a dream from God, it is, like, as if it is an actual scenario and a real thing that could happen in real life, right? So the difference between that and, like, my fleshy, weird dreams where my brain is just having a moment, I'm growing tentacles, whatever, there's weird things happening. That's not realistic. And, like, God can. Can speak to us in dreams symbolically, too, you know? But for the most part, I feel like I'm like, yeah, that. That is giving real life. Like, that felt like real life. I feel like that could be real life and the way you were in it and living it. I think another way that I know that it's from God is also when, like, all of my senses are in it, too. I can feel things and see things and even taste things as if I am right now. Like, in real life. It's like my senses are, like, way more heightened in a dream from God than when I'm, like, dreaming in my flesh. When I'm dreaming in my flesh, I feel like I can't run. You know those dreams where you're, like, trying to run, so. And. Or you can't really grip things. My senses actually suck when I'm dreaming in my flesh. But when I'm dreaming and it's from the Lord, I feel like it's like it's real. Like, it's real life. That's another thing. Just out of observation. But, yeah. So when I was dreaming before, I knew the Lord that those were how all my dreams were. Like, my fleshy dreams where they were just weird. They weren't ever really encouraging. If anything, they'd freak sometimes. They'd scare me. And I think that's another POV of like, okay, so how do I know whether it's from the enemy or not? I think if you wake up with a Lack of peace. If there is fear and anxiety. If you are waking up with fear and anxiety, like your heart is racing and you're like, oh, my gosh. Because I've had some dreams from God where it's getting. Giving heavy consequences. And. And this is the thing is, like, God, he will reach you in your dreams the way that he wants to reach you. So the tone of your dreams might look different than the tone of how God. I get dreams from the Lord, but a lot of the times I feel like God shows me scenarios and he shows me things that could happen in the future. He'll show me things that are currently happening, like behind closed doors or like, in the spirit, whether that's in my own life or in the lives of other people. And I believe that God does that not to expose people and, like, tattle on them, but to be like, hey, I need you to be praying for this person, because this is what's happening behind close closed doors with them. You know, this is what's happening in their life. I think that the reason God even sends us any dreams is so that we could intercede and pray, like, for real. I mean, there are times where I'll wake up from dreams and I'm like, okay, God, what do you want me to do with that? And I feel him being like, I need you to pray into this situation. I need you to pray into this dream, and I need you to pray for this person or these circumstances, or it might even expose things in my own heart where God is like, yeah, girl, so this is going on in you. I needed you to see that. So we're going to expose that very thing, and we're going to make sure that. Like this. Because if you keep going down this path with this thing living in your heart, this is what's gonna happen. It's with love that God gives us dreams, truly. And I think it's just so cool that it's another avenue of how we can really just communicate with Him. It's another way for him to talk to his church and to his children. I will say that there are dreams that I've gotten that I believe are from the Lord, where there are demons, there's darkness. It hasn't happened a lot, but I do believe God can allow you to see those things in the spirit, maybe in your dreams or whatever, to understand what's happening in the unseen, you know? But then, like, I've had dreams that are just straight up demonic, where it's like, okay, I was like, in a horror film, like, I'm starring in a. In a. In saws or something, like, that's not from God. And if you're waking up from something like that and you're, like, anxious and scared or you're waking up in tears, you know those kinds of dreams where they're, like, so devastating and awful and sad and, like, horrific that you're waking up crying, I'm like, I don't know if that's from God. And again, I got. I just want to, like, preface that not everything I'm saying right now could be total truth to, like, your story. I just want to submit all of this to y', all, knowing that, like, I really am just speaking from my own experience. I could have different answers down the line. But right now, what I'm saying is I don't believe those kinds of dreams are from the Lord. Like, if it. If it's not edifying, if it doesn't build us up, actually, I believe that's how I'll feel forever. Like, that's. That is God's only goal with sending us dreams is to edify, encourage, like, to warn us. Like, it's with love that he shows us things in our dreams and that he talks to us. And so if the theme of that dream is not really giving love and light and, like, father and, like, loving. Correction. If it is some type of warning dream, if it's not encouraging, it's not from God. I would also encourage you guys always, like, if you are a dreamer, to ask God, just ask God when you wake up in the morning and you're like, hey, God, I don't know what that dream was like. Was that from you? Was that me? Was that the enemy trying to discourage me and attack me in my sleep? Discern and ask the Holy Spirit to tell you and reveal to you what kind of dream that really was. I mean, there are some times where I was like, no, no, that wasn't from God. And then later on, as I'm, like, going throughout my day, I'm like, oh, wait, no, actually, I do think that was prophetic. Like, I do think that was from God. So I guess. I don't know. That's like Ali's description of, like, flesh versus God versus bunch of baloney from the enemy. Can we bring up a couple verses that just touch on dreaming for anyone who might be skeptical of this? Whether it's biblical or not? In Job 33:15 through 18, it says, in a dream, a vision of the night when deep sleep falls on men while they slumber on their Beds. Then he, God opens the ears of men and terrifies them with warnings that he may turn man aside from his deed and conceal pride from a man. He keeps back his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword. So I feel like that testifies to God giving warning dreams, which is something I relate to. And sometimes they can be a little like, ooh, don't Love that. Joel 2:28, 8, 31 says, it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy. Your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Genesis 37, 5, 10 says, this passage recounts Joseph's dreams, including his dream about his brothers bowing down to him, which foreshadows his future promises. So God can actually literally show us what will happen, not only in a warning way, but, like, he can actually show us the future in dreams. Another thing that I will just share about my story of dreaming, actually, there's a lot. Okay, just learn from me, guys. Learn from my mistakes. They're not mistakes, but I earnestly asked, right? This was a gift that I wanted. And for a while, I mean, it also just comes down to, like, do you really want it? Because I think it also took me, like, getting to a place where I, like, actually really did want it. You know what I mean? Where I don't know if it was like God had finally prepared my heart to, like, really desire the very thing of. Of dreaming. But for a while I was like, yeah, that'd be cool. Yeah, God give me dreams. But then I got to a place where I was like, no, God, I actually really want to experience this. Like, I need to hear your voice in my sleep. I want to experience dreaming. I need it. I love you. Please pour it out on me. And so I. I prayed that for quite some time until I started to dream. And I think that I knew that I was getting dreams from God because of how vivid they were. Another crazy thing is I will like, see people and I guess, I don't know, maybe we of dream this in a way before the Lord. But I've never experienced this in my life actually before knowing Jesus. But I get dreams where I. I like. It'll be like, zoom in moments of people's faces and. And sometimes I don't. I've never even seen that person in my life. And I'm. I'll. I'm just going to tell a story. That's actually so cool. Yeah, I can totally. I can submit this and tell Y'. All. So an example of this. This was the first time that I think I've ever really gotten, like, a zoom in of someone's face where it's like, D. And I mean, vivid details of an individual's face that I have never met in my life. I had a dream where I was sitting in a car. And also, like, God, you know, he does this so well in his word, and Jesus did it a lot, even with his teachings is there's a lot of parables and a lot of symbolism in the way that God speaks to us. And so dreams will be very much like that. Some things could be quite literal, but a lot of things can also be very symbolic. So I'm in a car, which, as you, like, learn about. About dreaming and stuff and educate yourself and there's research and things that you can do. But a lot of times, if you are sitting in a car, it typically represents ministry. And if you're in the driver's seat, it's like your ministry, right? Your calling. The thing that God is having you do for the kingdom of God. So I'm sitting in a car and I'm driving it, and it's a convertible, so the top is down. And there's this woman who I've never met before in my life sitting in the passenger seat, and Ashley Hetherington is sitting in the back seat. And it's kind of gloomy. It's, like, dark at night. It's actually a little bit eerie and creepy. And there are all these bad guys, like, dressed in black, and they all have knives. So this is what I'm talking about when I say that, like, there can still be dreams from God that aren't giving, like, super fluffy lovey rainbows and sunshine and butterflies. There can be some scary things that kind of happen in it. But it's also, like, I woke up from this, and I was like, whoa, that was epic. Like, I didn't feel scared and discouraged and freaked out, you know, but there were some bad guys that were coming at me. And I believe that that's what the Lord was showing me in the spirit of, like, the demonic and the enemy, like, trying to come, whatever. And so there's all these bad guys that are coming, and I'm, like, vulnerable because the top is down in my car and we're sitting at a red light. And so these guys are coming from everywhere. They're dressed in black. They just look like bad guys. And they have knives. They have knives and they are coming at us. Mainly me and this woman. Sitting in the front seat. Like, I mean, I don't know how much they were really coming for Ash, but for me, I was doing the most robust, like, and I'm like, dodging all of them and they're not getting me. So, like, the dodging is working, but it's. It. I'm exhausted, right? I'm like, I'm doing the most and I'm sweating and I'm freaking out and I'm so scared. And they're coming for me with these knives, okay? And then I look over at this woman who's sitting next to me in this convertible who I have never met. And she, first off, looks like she's just run a marathon. Like, she looks like she has gone through it. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail. She has her hair, like, coming down around her face. It's all stringy. She's sweaty. Like, she looks like she literally just ran a marathon. And her eye makeup is like all smudged under her eyes. And even though I'm sitting next to her, I still got like a zoom in POV of the front of her face. And so I could see her face fully. She had these big, beautiful brown eyes. And she was a bit older than me, probably in her 40s. And she's, like, batty. Okay. I don't know how else to explain it other than this woman is sitting in the passenger seat and she is just dead set, staring forward, not even flinching. And these men are coming at her with knives and, like, doing the same thing. And every time they're like, coming for her neck. And I'm like, she about to. She's done for. And then I see the. The knife, like, leave. And she's not cut. She's untouched. And I'm like. And she's not move. She's sitting. It's giving authority. Like, she's sitting there and she's looking straight forward. I'm doing this dance, trying to avoid it all. And I'm like, who is that? And I look back at Ashley in the car and I'm like. I go, ash. I go, why isn't she moving? It's so funny. A lot of times Ashley in my dreams is like the little angel on my shoulder. Or like the sound voice. I don't know why God uses her that way in my dreams, but sometimes I'll be like, what's? And then Ashley's in my dream and she's like, oh, Ally, it's this. And I'm like, oh. So that's what Ash did. She goes, I said, what is that? How is she not flinch? She wouldn't even flinch. Like, her eyes wouldn't even, like, go like this. I mean, she was just like, zoom. And Ashley said, it's because she knows that they can't touch her. And I was like, oh. And I remember in that moment, I was like, I want to learn from her. Like, I remember thinking that in that moment, I said, I want to be on that level. I want to be on that level. It's giving confidence, right? It's giving authority. And I woke up from that dream. So then three months later, I ended up meeting the woman. My jaw was dropped to the. The ground. And it's funny because at first, I. It, like, didn't really process for me. And I told Ashley all about my dream when it had happened a couple months prior to that. And Ashley was like, ally, who does she look like to you? Because I described the woman to Ashley after I had the dream, and I was like, oh, my gosh. She goes, no. Is that not. Is that the woman from your dreams? And she has very unique. Like, she has a very unique. Like, her face is. She's beautiful, but she's unique. Like, and I saw her face in my dreams. I've never experienced anything so supernatural in my life. So what I'm telling you is, like. And it was her. It was her. And when I met her and I heard her story and I knew about who she was, I was like, oh, this makes sense. Like, she really has fought through so much, and she's so strong. Like, that woman has been through a lot. And so even, like, her, like, looking like she had been through a lot, like a marathon, she's sweating, right? It's symbolic, but it's spiritual. It's real. Like, she has. That's crazy. That can happen. God can literally show you people or things of the future. I've had dreams since then where I've seen people that I've never met, but I haven't met them yet. But that was crazy. That was one of the craziest dreams where I had physically met someone I'd never met in real life yet. And God showed me so that when I met her. I feel like it's God's kindness, too, to, like, just confirm things, you know, Even if a dream doesn't make sense in the natural, right? In that moment, it's like, just hang on to that because it could make sense in the future, you know, so that when that very thing comes, God has already given you that confidence to be like, oh, no, he showed me this, you know, And I really believe that that's his love. So when I met her, I was like, oh, I know I'm supposed to be learning from you in my life, you know, because I had that dream, and I don't know if I would have had that same kind of confidence or confirmation had I not had that dream about her. Now, I will also share with you guys. We're also. I'm gonna do a prayer for y' all at the end of this. Yeah, I'm gonna do a prayer for you guys at the end of this episode. If this is something that you really, really want, we'll do a prayer. I'm gonna pray over y', all, and I'm gonna pray that you guys start dreaming if that is a true desire of your heart and it's something you. Because it's really sweet. And we're gonna do that at the end. So I just wanted to give that heads up. Don't fret. We're gonna. We're gonna intercede for this in Jesus name. And I believe I have the authority now to, like, impart that and pray that for y', all, because he has delivered it for me. I will say, when it comes to dreaming, though, we do have to. How do I wanna word this? There is a responsibility of making sure that we are stewarding our lives well so that we can dream at night. What does that mean, Ali? Well, I'll just say there are seasons that I have lived where I was dreaming all the time. And then there were other seasons where I wasn't dreaming as much anymore. And I do think that, obviously, sometimes God could probably be giving us more dreams in certain seasons versus not because he wants to. He's God. He can do whatever he wants. But I think that there is, like, a responsibility of making sure that we're stewarding our bodies well and our spirits well and our minds well to be able to dream at night with God. And as I would reflect on the times where I would be dreaming the most versus when I wasn't dreaming as much anymore, I'd be like, God, what happened? Like, what did I do? What happened? And granted, yeah, there are some times where I'm just not dreaming as much, and that's okay. But I've noticed there are things and there are habits that I was doing throughout my days that was affecting me and creating a lack of being able to dream at night. One of those things. This is crazy, y'. All. So Ashley and I. I may have shared this on the podcast at the time when we were doing this already, but there was a season where we were watching Gilmore Girls every night, which is. Is just the Cutie Piest show. I'd say it's Cutie Pie until season three. And then after that, it gets pretty worldly, you know, like, it's a worldly show in general, but it was, like, really sweet and innocent in the beginning. And then it got kind of. We stopped watching it eventually. We didn't even finish it. But I say all of that because we went through this era where we were, like, Gaga fans. We loved Gilmore Girls. We had this sweet routine where we'd get on the couch every night, we'd have our tea, and we'd watch our Gilmore Girls, and we would do that every night. And I would be watching that right up until going to bed. And then the other thing, this is crazy is I have the hatch alarm. Like, I don't know if you guys have that with waking up in the morning. I like it, but I have my hatch alarm. And at that time, it was the fall time. Like, during the fall is when Gilmore Girls just is, like, trending again. It's like one of those shows that you just watch during the fall and the holidays. And so it was a special edition alarm that they had offered where you could play one of the Gilmore Girls. La la la la la. Okay. And it would, like, do that and that, and it would be like one of those sweet little songs from the show that you could wake up to. And I was like, I love Gilmore Girls. This is amazing. So I'm going to bed watching Gilmore Girls. I'm waking up to the Gilmore Girls theme song. Okay? I'm consuming media and scrolling before I go to bed. Okay? And not all of it is necessarily about God. Actually, a lot of my for you page is about God. But, like, I'm consuming social media and I'm scrolling and all this stuff, and suddenly I'm not getting nearly as many dreams, if not any at all anymore. Or I'm waking up and I'm like, I think I dreamt. I don't remember. And it was, like, getting harder for me to even remember if I dreamt the night before. And so, yeah, Ashley was like, girl, you're not dreaming as much as you used to. And I'm like, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I was like, I'm spending time with God. Like, I'm in the spirit. I'm reading my Bible. Because, like, staying connected to the vine, y'. All. Staying connected to the vine is also very important. So making sure you're getting in the secret place and, like, you're spending that intimacy with Jesus every day. But I was like, I feel like I'm still doing those things. Like, why am I not dreaming? And the more that Ashley and I had looked into it, the more we had realized that consuming anything right before bed, that that's like a worldly influence, whether that's social media or music or shows or whatever. Like, and I mean, like, right before you go to sleep is a dream killer. And I had no idea. Also, the way that you wake up up is really important as well. The waking up thing is more so, like, remembering the dreams. Like, there are things that we can do. Waking up to encourage, like, our minds and our bodies to be able to actually remember the dreams. And so I don't know, but, like, within the first few seconds of you waking up to not get on your phone, also waking up to something peaceful, low key, something that's kind of giving God, like, nature. So there are alarms now that I have with my hatch alarm that I wake up to where it's like, birds chirping and it's peaceful and it's sweet and it, like, wakes me up and it just is, like, holy, you know what I mean? Rather than waking up to the Gilmore Girls theme song. Okay. Or like, a really harsh alarm where it's like, sometimes alarms like that if you're waking up and you're like. And I know that a lot of us might need that kind of wake up or you'll just, like, sleep right through the alarm. So I understand that. But that sometimes can be a dream killer because you're just not waking up in a peaceful way. It's almost like we got to, like, ease out of our sleep and wake up in a way that's like. Like, I guess. I don't know. It's just what I was learning. And then also I. I had seen, like, I can testify, because when I made those changes, I was remembering my dreams better by waking up in a way that was, like, more peaceful and sweet and, like, not getting on my phone the minute I woke up, really giving myself space to, like, remember what I had dreamt the night before. When we stopped watching Gilmore Girls right before bed, we kind of transitioned where it was like, we stopped watching Gilmore Girls an hour before we went to sleep. And then the last hour before we went to bed, we would put on worship music or we'd read our Bibles, or we would pray. Like, we would do things that had to do with Jesus for the last hour before going to bed. So because we didn't want to be super religious where it's like we can't watch anything. And it's not even that. That's what resources were saying. They were just like, don't do that right before you go to bed. And so after making those changes, my dreams were coming back and I would be having like multiple dreams a night. So isn't that crazy? So I say that to just be like, learn from my mistakes. And you know, if you are a dreamer, you feel like you've been in a bit of a rut, like ask the Lord to reveal things that could be kind of suppressing your dreams and making it harder for you to dream at night. Okay, I just want to read these few things that I just found. The top five reasons why God would send us dreams. Okay. Now that I've Ali has testified and talked all about dreaming, my experiences with dreaming, my fails, my wins. Number one is divine communication and guidance. Right. So as we were saying, this is a way for the Lord to communicate to his church and to help guide us spiritual growth and understanding. Dreams may be seen as a way to connect with one's inner self and explore deeper aspects of one's personality or subconsciousness. Some interpret dreams as a way to gain insight into one's values, fears and desires, ultimately leading to self discovery. Yeah, God will gladly show us things within ourselves that we didn't know were there. Could be good, could be bad. There have been times where God has showed me my strengths in my dreams and shown me scenarios of like how he wants to use me and how he is using me, which is so encouraging. Building the Spiritual kingdom Some believe God gives dreams to build his spiritual kingdom which includes fostering love, goodness, kindness, compassion, service and forgiveness. God's purpose in giving dreams can also be to reveal Himself to individuals and provide evidence of his existence. We've heard of Jesus literally showing up in people's dreams who have never even met him. That is a thing that has happened and is even happening today, which is crazy. So God can actually even reveal Himself to people in dreams. Encouraging action and purpose Dreams can encourage individuals to see beyond their current circumstances and focus on the possibilities for the future, which is so sweet of God. This can lead to individuals making courageous choices and taking action to fulfill their God given dreams. And lastly, prophecy and prophetic dreams. In some traditions, dreams are seen as a form of prophecy where God reveals future events or outcomes. These dreams may be interpreted and understand God's Plan for the future and take appropriate actions. I will say that sometimes when I've even gotten dreams for other people, because I do believe that God gives us dreams to also encourage or to warn to lift up other people in the church. And I've gotten dreams for other people. And I think when you get a dream for someone, I think the most important thing that you can do is just like pray to the Lord and say, God, is this something that you want, want me to keep near to me and like intercede and pray for, or is this something that you would want me to actually bring to the person? Because sometimes with certain dreams I'm like, I actually think this is just something God wanted to show me so that I can intercede and pray for this person. But there are times where I've felt so burdened to actually share it with the person and to just submit that to them and be like, hey, if this lands, then it lands. If it doesn't, then let it fall. And I think that's like the most humble way to even approach anything prophetic that you get, whether it's this in dreams, visions is being like, hey, I, I'm submitting this to you and I actually encourage you to pray about this and ask God if this is something that's from him. Because ultimately, like, we can really feel and believe that something is prophetic for someone, but we're also human at the end of the day and so we might not always get it right and that's okay. But yeah, I think just discerning with the Lord and being like, okay, God, do you want me to bring this to this person? And I've done that too. Yeah, it's a gift. It's such a gift. And so we're going to close out this episode by praying. I would love to pray for you guys. If are somebody who really wants to experience this with God, I'm going to pray for you and we are going to come together in faith. Thank you, God, that you say in your word that where two or more are gathered, you are there. And so, God, we believe that you are here with us as we pray for this in faith, collectively, together also. This is kind of fun and, and, and a little silly and weird, but we're just going to do it. If you are watching on a screen, whether that's through your phone or your TV or your laptop or your iPad, girl, wherever you're at, boy, wherever you're at, I would encourage you to actually put your hand on the screen. And we're going to Pray. I'm gonna extend my hand through the screen and we're gonna pray for this. And I want you to receive this prayer. Okay? Jesus, I thank you for my brother or sister on the other side of the screen. God, I thank you that your spirit can travel through anything, space, time, technology. And so, God, we come together now knowing and having faith that you can answer prayers through this screen. God, that your spirit can actually travel through this screen, through the audio, through their ears, through this podcast. Lord, thank you that there is nothing that can actually stop your spirit. And so, God, I lift them up to you, Lord, and God, you know their heart. You know that this is a desire of their heart that they want to experience with you, Lord God, thank you that they have a humble heart where they just, they want to be used as a vessel for your kingdom through this gift, Lord, to encourage others and to even be encouraged by you. And so, Jesus, I just, I ask that you give this individual the gift of dreaming, God, in Jesus name, Lord, I ask that you just impart that and put that over them. I pray that this is a gift that they get to operate in from now on. Jesus, I actually pray in faith that tonight they will experience their first prophetic dream. In Jesus name, God, give them dreams and visions, Lord, I pray that they are encouraging, they are with love. I also pray a protection over them. In Jesus name, I plead the blood of Jesus from the top of their head to the bottom of their feet that weapons formed against them in their sleep will prosper. That if there are any flaming darts of the enemy that tries to come against them in their sleep, I just bind that now in Jesus name and I cast it back to hell where it belongs. That no demonic entities or spirits will actually touch them in their sleep. God, I pray that during their sleep it is actually holy and it is a time for them to communicate with their heavenly Father. And that is all it's going to be. And so, God, I just ask for that. God, we ask in the name of Jesus that this is a gift that they get to operate in from now on. Lord, thank you. That in your word it says that when we ask, we will receive as long as we ask in the name of Jesus, we will receive that, Lord, thank you that you are faithful and you are a loving father who wants these gifts for their children. And so we just seal this in the blood of Jesus. God, thank you so much. In Jesus name. Amen. Okay, I'm excited for you guys. Keep me posted in the comment section. Let me know if you start dreaming. Thank you, Jesus. Yeah, this was fun. This was fun to talk about. If there are more gifts that we can kind of break down, I'm happy to try to do that with you guys. That would be fun. Okay. I love y' all. And as always, guys, can we just do something really cool today? Can we show somebody how cool Jesus is? Can we walk more like him, talk more like him, be more like him, carry more of the characteristics of Jesus and share that with the world and be that light? We're gonna do that. I love y'. All.
