I believe that an encouraged leader is going to be a healthy leader, and a healthy leader is going to lead healthy organizations. Today, I want to talk about how to stay encouraged. Hey. Well, welcome to another episode of the Jadyn Chavez Leadership Podcast where we're just trying to help you as a leader. I believe as you get better, your organization is going to get better. As you get bigger on the inside, everything around you is going to, is going to grow and it's going to get bigger, going to get healthier. And I am praying that this weekly podcast that we're dropping every Wednesday morning is a benefit to you. Today I want to talk about your encouragement. I want to talk about how to stay encouraged. To be encouraged to encourage someone else is to give hope, to give support, and to give confidence to another. And so when we are encouraging someone, we're giving them hope of a better tomorrow. We're giving them confidence to be able to do everything that they're called to do. And we're bringing a support system around them so that they can thrive in life. Well, in the same way, we have to stay encouraged. And the Bible said in 1st Samuel, chapter 30 that David encouraged himself in the Lord. Think about that. David gave himself hope. He gave him self support, he gave him, and he gave him self confidence as he was in a battle. And I believe that one of the greatest assets that you can give yourself, one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is the gift of encouragement. Staying encouraged as a leader, staying hope filled, staying supported, staying strong. And so how do we do that? How do we remain encouraged out of that encouragement? And we're going to encourage others out of that encouragement. We're going to strengthen others out of that encouragement. We're going to give hope to others. So how do we do it? Well, the first thing is, number one, you have to admit to a trusted voice where you are discouraged. First step in encouragement and staying encouraged is admitting to a trusted voice where you're discouraged. Processing your life will save your life. You have got to be processing with someone. Not everyone, but someone. Not your entire social media following, but someone. Someone that you trust, someone that you love, someone that loves you. And so I always say, process up, not down. Process up, not down. It is so easy to get in conversations where we're talking about our wins, we're talking about the good, but we never open up about some of those pain points in our life. And one of the keys to encouragement is just admitting, man, I'm discouraged. I'm discouraged in this area, man, we're having a challenge here, we're having a challenge there, wherever it may be. This is such a huge part of getting better. The Bible actually says there in 1st Samuel 30, it said, David was deeply distressed. And then he goes to someone and says, bring me the ephod, which was the garment that the priest would wear. And then he began to encourage himself in the Lord. So even that, even when we say, you know, David had to, you know, sometimes you got to encourage yourself. Well, yeah, but even that he didn't do alone. He needed someone with him there. He had someone from the tabernacle there to help him. I just want to say, you have got to be surrounded by some positive voices. I think counseling is great. I think therapy is awesome. I think processing with a professional, incredible. I encourage all leaders to do that. But I want to just say this as well. Leader, you better have some great friends in your life. Some men, if you're a man. Some women, if you're a woman that you're processing with, that you're talking about. I feel this struggling with this. I'm sensing this. I can't get over this. Whatever that is, you have got to be processing. Admit to a trusted voice. This is one of the keys to staying encouraged, is to admit to somebody where you're discouraged. Number two, lean into your team. Isolate. An isolated leader will be a discouraged leader. A surrounded leader will eventually become an encouraged leader. And when I say don't, when I say don't, isolate. When I say lean into your team. I'm specifically talking about even for you, who are the organizational leader, you're the senior pastor, what, you know, whatever, business owner, whatever. Lean into your team. Get around them, hang out with them. Don't. Don't get too far from them. I wrote this down. You would be amazed how many great things are happening in your organization. You would be amazed how many great things are happening in the organization. Get around them. Hear the stories. Tell me what's going on. Tell me what's going on over here. How's this going? How's this working? How's that working? I'm telling you, lean into your team. Don't just lean up, but also lean in to the people that work with you and for you on the team. Get around. And don't just hear the. See that there's always going to be the bad news, right? There's always going to be the bad emails. There's always going to be the. But lean in as well to the good. Tell me some good things that are happening here. Tell me some positive things that are happening here relationally. Connect. Take them to breakfast, take them to lunch. Have a coffee with them, get around them in the office. There's just something about this. The more conversations are happening, the less you have to think, the less you have to assume, the less you have to wonder, how are things? The more you just lean in to the relationship, the better. So lean into your team. This is huge. I wonder how they're doing. Find out. I wonder if they're still locked in. Find out. I wonder what's going on there. Lean in. Find out. Lean into your team. Number number three. Practice gratitude. I got my big water here with my creatine and my electrolytes. Come on, somebody. Thank you, Jesus. Practice gratitude. Celebrate. Celebrate. Celebrate. Let me say it again. Celebrate. Celebrate. Celebrate. Rehearse the good that is happening. That word there to encourage. David encouraged himself. It is to find strength, man. Find a win. Find the good. Celebrate. Thank you, Lord. Thank you for this. Thank you for that. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Practice gratitude. In Luke 17, Jesus heals 10 lepers. One comes back and says, thank you. Jesus says, where are the nine? Here's what's crazy. All ten got healed. But the one who practiced gratitude, the Bible says, was made whole. This was beyond just a healing. There was now wholeness. I don't fully know what all that means, but I know that there is a wholeness. In gratitude, there is a restoration. In gratitude, there is a strengthening and a hope that comes in gratitude. You cannot be encouraged and ungrateful. You can't be encouraged and ungrateful. In order to be encouraged, you must be grateful. An ungrateful leader will always be a discouraged leader. Practice gratitude. Write a thank you note. Write a thank you note. Write a thank you note. Listen. Write a thank you note. Tell somebody, thank you. Tell somebody, thank you. It matters. It won't just matter to them. It matters to you to practice gratitude. And then number four. Another way to stay encouraged is break the rut. Just break the rut. Change of pace. Change of scenery. Change. I'm going to talk about vacation in a second, but just change the pace. Go work at a coffee shop. Go work outside. When the weather starts getting better, go work outside. Change of scenery. You always sit in one chair. Sit in another chair. You always sit in one office. Go to a different office. You're always in one area. Go to a different area. It just does something to you. Always sit in the same place at church. Sit in another place at church. Change of pace. Change of scenery. Change. Change. We hate change. But change is good for us. It breaks us out of a rut. Change. I wrote this down. For vacations. Make sure that your vacations serve you. Make sure that your days off serve you. Make sure that your Sabbath is serving you. Remember, man was not made for the Sabbath. Jesus said this. Man was not made for the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made for man. Make sure that rest is actually serving you. Just change a pace. You know, Elevation nights are on tour, you know, coming up as I'm recording this February, March. Are they anywhere near you? Go out for a night of worship. Change of pace, change of scenery. Just change it up. Go pop into another friend's church, maybe for their conference or their event that they have. Just change, change. Change. Change of sc. Your pace. Change. Go play a round of golf. Change. Go. Go do something you love. Change. Just break the rut. Have you go. Go grocery shopping. Go to Target. I don't know. Go do something different. Been eating at home a lot. Great. Okay. Go out to dinner. Reward yourself. Change. Break the rut. It will encourage you. There's some natural. There's some spiritual elements to encouragement, but there's also some natural elements to encouragement. Stay pliable. Stay different. You always wake up at 7am Wake up at 6am Just change it up. Just. Just change it up. Just do something different. It will help you. It will. It will do. It will do something to your mind to break the rut. Stay encouraged. Stay grateful. Stay talking and communicating. Stay processing. And I believe that as you stay encouraged, that encouragement is going to pour out on your teams and on your organizations and in your world. I love you so much. So excited for you and for your future. So excited about what God is going to do in your life this year. Hey, make sure to like and subscribe and subscribe.
