To Alaska or Europe. My dad works in B2B marketing, but I never really knew what that meant. Then one day my dad came by my school for Career day and told everyone in my class he was a big Roaz man. Then he just kept saying things like the bigger the Roaz the better. Over and over. My friends still laugh at me to this day. I think it means calculating a return on ad spend. One thing's for sure, I'll be known as the Roazman's Kid for the rest of my days. Why couldn't you just be a fireman or a lawyer? Why? You ruined my life, dad. Not everyone gets B2B, but LinkedIn has the people who do. And with ads on LinkedIn, you'll be able to reach people based on job title, industry, likelihood to buy, and more. I'm Rachel Doe and you're listening to Climbing in Heels. We are back tomorrow with an all new episode, but to hold you over, I'm answering two quick listener questions about holiday dressing. So here we go. Okay, my husband refuses to wear a suit and we are attending a winter wedding coming up. What's an alternative I can suggest? Make him wear a suit, for God's sake. Make him wear a suit. It's a wedding and you know, I mean, listen, I think at the very least he has to wear a blazer and a sweater. Like a thin sweater, button up underneath and a pair of trousers. What does he want to wear? Sweatpants, jeans? That's not allowed. Unless this is a backyard wedding that they say come casual, but, like, out of respect, tell your husband he needs to have one suit in his wardrobe and it's going to be on the rotation for anything that ever calls for a suit. And as soon as he walks in the door to go home, even when he gets in the car, he can take it off, but he has to wear a suit to the wedding. It's disrespectful. Or stay home. Okay. Ugly sweater Christmas parties are very popular these days. If you were hosting a holiday party, what would the fashion theme be? Okay, if I was hosting a holiday party, I can tell you it would most definitely not be ugly Christmas sweater, because I don't think anyone should ever wear an Ugly Christmas. Sweet. I mean, I'm kidding. I get the joke and I think it's funny. But I have to say, it really is the least chic thing I have seen in forever. And when I see them and like the ones with the lights and the ones with like the felted, like, patches and the reindeer noses and the, you know, I think it's cute for kids. I think, Listen, I am not an ugly Christmas sweater person. I think we've all really graduated from that over the years. What would I do for a holiday party? I would honestly say come in your winter wonderland whites. I would. I know that sounds so easy and basic but like how beautiful is a party with white lights everywhere and everyone wearing different shades of white and sparkles. Like to me it should just be a sparkle theme, a winter wonderland theme. Come in your white and your sparkles and you know it's a win win all around. You know everyone's got white of some shade in their wardrobe, right? And it's sparkle season. So that's my feeling. Sparkle all season long.

"My husband refuses to wear a suit, and we are attending a winter wedding coming up. What's an alternative I can suggest?"
Rachel Zoe's Response:
Rachel emphasizes the importance of dressing appropriately for the occasion out of respect. She advises:
"Make him wear a suit, for God's sake. It's a wedding, and you know, I mean, listen, I think at the very least he has to wear a blazer and a sweater. Like a thin sweater, buttoned up underneath and a pair of trousers."
— Rachel Zoe [03:25]
Rachel underscores the significance of maintaining a polished appearance at weddings, suggesting that even if a full suit isn't feasible, a combination of a blazer, sweater, and tailored trousers can suffice. She further stresses the need for at least one suit in the wardrobe to accommodate such events:
"Tell your husband he needs to have one suit in his wardrobe and it's going to be on the rotation for anything that ever calls for a suit."

Question:
"Ugly sweater Christmas parties are very popular these days. If you were hosting a holiday party, what would the fashion theme be?"
Rachel Zoe's Response:
Rachel expresses her reservations about the "ugly Christmas sweater" trend, advocating for a more sophisticated approach to holiday party attire. She shares her preference for a Winter Wonderland theme:
"I would honestly say come in your winter wonderland whites. I know that sounds so easy and basic but like how beautiful is a party with white lights everywhere and everyone wearing different shades of white and sparkles."
— Rachel Zoe [04:45]
Rachel highlights the elegance of white and sparkles, suggesting that this theme allows guests to showcase their existing wardrobe pieces while embracing the festive spirit:
"You know everyone's got white of some shade in their wardrobe, right? And it's sparkle season. So that's my feeling. Sparkle all season long."
— Rachel Zoe [05:15]
