I hate gift giving and receiving.
Kale Lowry
Receiving gifts is so weird. What do you say? Thank you.
Lindsay Chrisley
This is coffee convos with Kale Lowry and Lindsay Chrisley. I really want you to be in your feels.
Kale Lowry
Kale, that does not interest me whatsoever.
Lindsay Chrisley
I feel very attacked by you. A spirited discussion about motherhood, friendship, family, and life in the public eye. I'm just not with the fakery anymore.
Kale Lowry
There's a fakery bakery around here.
Lindsay Chrisley
Here's Kale and Lindsay.
Kale Lowry
And I just want to forewarn everyone. Happy Thursday. I actively have strep throat. I've been on antibiotics for over 48 hours now, so nobody in this content house should get sick. But if I have low energy, I am happy to be here. I just don't feel good.
Lindsay Chrisley
Good morning, kitty cats. Coffee combos podcast. So happy to be here. Life is in shambles.
Kale Lowry
And 2026, we're three weeks and four weeks if you're listening. And it has put me on my ass worse than 2025, so. So if anyone's listening, just understand that I am going through it.
Lindsay Chrisley
Listen, let me tell you, I don't know if your stuff ends up lining up like this, but outside of all the other stuff that we collectively have going on, my doctor's appointments and Jackson's doctor. Jackson's doctor's appointments always line up at the beginning of the year. So schedule looks like a psych ward for an entire month. And then, like, we're good. We get to February, and we're good.
Kale Lowry
Like, all of your annual appointments are in January.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah. I don't know how that ended up happening, but I don't know if you know, this insurance will not cover, like, unless it's been exactly a year. And so one time I accidentally. Well, I don't want to say it was an accident, but I went to the doctor before it was an entire calendar year. And then they didn't cover that annual appointment. And so it always ends up getting pushed back by, like, either a week or something like that. And it's been falling in January for. Since I've been divorced.
Kale Lowry
I learned that last year when they told me they were scheduling one of the kids, I want to say, like, physicals or something. And they said it had to be a year and a day. So it was like 365 days plus one, so they couldn't schedule. And then I was just like, that's kind of insane because it's like, what?
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, 2026 for me started out with COVID I did not get the COVID cough, which fantastic for me. And then you started with strep throat, and I am still, like, mind blown that an adult, like, you get strep throat as much as you do.
Kale Lowry
The last time I had strep throat that I can remember was 13 months ago in Spain.
Lindsay Chrisley
You made it 13 months.
Kale Lowry
13 months. And then. So when Elijah asked me about the kids or whatever, I said. He asked. He texted me something, and I said, let me get back to you. Like, I'm really sick. I have strep. And he said again? And I said, since Spain. And he said, no, you definitely had it after that. So he's saying. He told me that I had it before. Before 13 months. But the last time I remember was 13 months.
Lindsay Chrisley
It's like you tap into his Google calendar, and he has it written on there, like, the last time you had strep.
Kale Lowry
Imagine.
Lindsay Chrisley
Like, I'm so over it. I need to tell you something also before it gets discovered. Yes. I changed my last name on Instagram back to Campbell.
Kale Lowry
What? Wait, no, I. First I was just gonna tell you that my dog died, and now. Wait, hold up. You wait To Campbell?
Lindsay Chrisley
Yes.
Kale Lowry
I can't keep up. You have so many last names. It's like, how many baby daddies do I have? How many last names do you have?
Lindsay Chrisley
Okay, well, I need to just, like, Campbell Landsman. I just need to give you the rundown of, like, what's been going on, because I kind of talked about it with Kayla last week on the Southern Tea, and we have been having a little bit of regression in this house whenever it comes to Jackson and the divorce stuff. And I don't know if you had any of those regressions with Lincoln at all. He seems now that he's 13 years old, he's doing more things with his friends that, like, parents are sometimes involved, and, like, both parents will be there. And I actually noticed it for the first time when Will hosted the first sleepover for Jackson on his birthday weekend. And Jackson wanted me to bring breakfast over there, but mind you, we are divorced people. And that's not what I would consider, like, the norm where he's hosting the sleepover and I'm, like, divvying out breakfast in his kitchen.
Kale Lowry
It was just the way you said, we are divorced people. Yes, right there. We are divorced people.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yes, we are. And so, you know, of course, I provided and went over there and divvied out the breakfast and whatever, and Will's just looking at me like I'm a psychopath, and, like, what the are we doing in my kitchen? Type vibes, but it's like, I'm gonna let myself in, whatever. Well, then he kind of, like, continued to regress from that point, because I think he saw us, like, doing something together as parents, like, in the same house. And so he started having this problem of, why is your last name not Campbell and why is it Landsman? Because you're not married to David. And I'm like, that does make sense. And maybe I'm traumatizing my kid. And also, nobody should be allowed to let me have their last name without doing, like, the hard work for me to carry it. And so I'm just doing everything that I possibly could have.
Kale Lowry
Whatever fucking last name you want. You don't need to do hard work for a last name, Lindsay.
Lindsay Chrisley
It's like we're bamboozling the.
Kale Lowry
Out of all these people, everybody. And I'm like, actually, that's my middle name.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh, my God. Wait, remember when you, like, went through that whole process of, like, finding out stuff off, like, ancestry or whatever you did, and then you changed your last name on Facebook? And I log on and I'm like, who is this?
Kale Lowry
Imagine I changed it to, like, Kale, Irwin Lowry Morris, Because I'm supposed to be a Morris. Like, my dad. My poor dad literally died not knowing he was a Morris.
Lindsay Chrisley
That's. That's just so crazy. But can you. Can you walk me through the situation of. And I know that it was crazy last week for a plethora of reasons, but then your dog getting put to sleep was really just, like, die.
Kale Lowry
Saying that nobody needed that was seriously, like, a punch to the gut. So Buddha it. What is. And, oh, my God, I'm gonna cry. Best dog in the whole wide world. What's crazy? Like, two days before I accidentally called him Bear, I was, like, petting him, and I was telling the kids, like, oh, like, here, just pet Bear. I mean, oh, my God. Pet Buddha. It was crazy because I swear to God, he was bare reincarnated. The vet came to my house to put him down, and I had never done it that way before. I had my other dogs were put down at the vet's office, and we just knew this was in the works for some time. And, like, people were so. So. People showed so much more love whenever I posted about, like, Buddha being sick, like, on socials and, like, giving advice and, like, tips and things like that. They were so much nicer to me about that than they have ever been to me about anything related to humans. And I did try some of the stuff that they were suggesting. But, like, he just wasn't improving in the vet. The vet did tell me he's like, you know, this is the right thing to do because he's so, like, stoic and, like, super brave and strong that he's not going to show his, like, family that he's in so much pain. And then the vet didn't do the body removal. So Rebecca finds this is funny, but it's, like, not funny. Yeah, she found this funeral home, like, for people that do animals as well. So I. It's like, not funny, but it was like, okay, I needed a little bit of a laugh. I didn't know it was like, a real funeral home. I thought it was, like a pet funeral home. And it was people, they were super nice. They were really, really, really nice.
Lindsay Chrisley
Everyone was walking through the process, like, of how this all went down. Like, they came to your house and.
Kale Lowry
Yeah, so my vet came to the house and he had his assistance with him, and they gave Buddha some sedation so he would not. He'd not know what was going on. And I just sat with him and he put his head in my lap and. And they just, like, made sure that he was, you know, comfortable and everything and just surrounded by so much love. And. And then they, like, gave us a few minutes with him. And then, you know, the vet gave him whatever. Whatever it is that makes them go to sleep and not wake back up. And then tested him, you know, checked his heart and stuff, and they said that he was gone. And so it was just on the bed, you know, in front of the fireplace. But he had this one spot on the couch, and no one would sit there because Buddha always sat there. And so it was always hair on that side of the couch. And when the vet came to the. In the house, I had said, like, should we move him to his bed? Because, you know, when you pass away, the pee and the poop comes out. But then the funeral people got there so fast that I could have left him on the couch and let him pass on the couch, but he loved his bed anyways. And it was in front of the fireplace. And I mean, it was sort of like how they do it at the. I don't. You did it at the vet, Right.
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, Della's still alive. And kick.
Kale Lowry
Oh, but I thought. Died.
Lindsay Chrisley
No, Della is still alive. I regularly tell Will, like, if it wasn't for you having an ex wife like, that dog would not be living. But, yes, she is still.
Kale Lowry
What?
Lindsay Chrisley
She's still alive. But when this happened, this whole process happened with nanny With Miley, she loved that little dog, like a human being.
Kale Lowry
Did she get him stuffed? Get her stuffed?
Lindsay Chrisley
No, she does have an earn or a yearn, what's it called? Yeah, earn, yearn, like whatever it is. I talked to her on the phone the entire way to the vet because it was more of like an emergency situation. And that's why I'm so glad that yours was like, on your terms, you know, and that probably when you look back on it after the sadness kind of like dissipates and stuff, you will feel so much better knowing that it was on your terms and you didn't have to do like an emergency vet type situation. But the sad thing is, is, like, with an older person, when they've lost a human that was closest to them. Like when she lost my papa. And then Miley, I don't want to say like, took his place, but comforted.
Kale Lowry
Her, was her companion.
Lindsay Chrisley
It was her little companion. And I don't think that she really realized when I was sending her to the emergency vet what was going to happen. And she kept asking the vet, because I was on speaker. She was like, is she gonna hurt? And she was just like, bawling her eyes out. She was like, I just don't want her to hurt. And it was the saddest thing ever. But you know that you're doing the right thing. Thing. But it feels so wrong. Did you feel like that?
Kale Lowry
Yes. Like, the whole time I'm like, it, like, am I doing something I shouldn't be doing? I'm like. And then wait. I did not expect to be emotional on this episode because the kids decided they wanted to go to school and I had to talk to them the same way I talked to them about Bear. Everyone watched that on Teen mom. So, like, everyone knows. And I had. I had let them take a mental health day the Friday before. So I didn't want to. Like, if they wanted to, I'd explain it to their dads and their dads would probably hate me for it, but whatever. They all go to school. Well, the same day that Buddha is passing away, I go to pick up Lincoln from school and he's crying because his friend just got deported.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh, my God.
Kale Lowry
Yeah, so it was. And he's crying because he didn't get to say bye to his friend. He didn't get like, he's struggling, he's going through it and. And then here goes. He had explained it to me so that when Elliot sees Lincoln and he doesn't understand why Lincoln's crying, Elliot's like, what's going on? And he explains it. And then that pissed Elliot off because he's like, what the. Like the that's going on right now is not. Like, it's not like it's up for everyone. Like, in some way, everybody is impacted by what's going on.
Lindsay Chrisley

Kale Lowry
But anyways, about Buddha, I. The vet was fantastic. I mean, he is our regular vet, but he's so great about everything. And then I'm just waiting for the ashes back and I can put them in an urn and do whatever, but here goes. We get home from school pickup and Lux goes, where's Buddha? And I'm like, he passed away. And then Valley and Rio are so funny because I'm like, you know, like, they go in the sky when they pass away. And so now every single day, Valley is like, and Buddha's in the sky. And I'm like, oh my God, please. She's processing it. But like, for me, I'm like, I want to cry every time she says it. And then. And then she's like, but he eats a bone. And I'm like, yeah, he eats a bone in the sky. And then Rio thinks that he jumped in the sky. Like, he thinks he ran away because I'm like, your heart. Like, Rio, he's in the sky. Like, he passed away. He jumped in the sky. And I'm like, yes, that's exactly what he did.
Lindsay Chrisley
Bless their hearts.
Kale Lowry
That is trying to understand.
Lindsay Chrisley
It's so crazy too, because you have kids of like, all ages, so the processing of something so hard is different at all of those ages.
Kale Lowry
Oh, verse does not give a. But that's first for you. He's very nonchalant. And Rio and Valley are just. They're trying. And then also, like, I'm having a hard time with, like, what do you do with the dog bed? Right? Like, he died on this bed. He slept on this bed. He. This is the only bed he had that he didn't tear up. You know, like, it's right.
Lindsay Chrisley
Like when they pass away. Like, when is too soon to get rid of something, right?
Kale Lowry
I mean, I have his dog crate that he hasn't gone in in like three years, maybe four years. So I was gonna just put that at the top of the driveway and hope someone, like, takes it and uses it. And maybe the like, dog bowls. But, like, the bed. How am I gonna part with a dog? Like, I can't. What. I want to save it, but, like, should I have cremated it with him? Should I? What do I do?
Lindsay Chrisley
I think it's more common with older men who wear, like, dress shirts and stuff. They. People who have lost older men in their life, they will, like, cut those dress shirts up and make it into like a memory quilt or whatever. Like, maybe you could cut a piece of the dog bed off and like, make it into a picture frame or like shadow box or like something like that.
Kale Lowry
That's a great idea. I'm gonna look on Etsy and see because to your point, actually watched. Actually saw it on Tick Tock. A woman, she was just buying fabric. It wasn't like, meaningful or anything. She was buying it and she was putting it in picture frames and then putting the p. Picture frame picture over top of the fabric and then putting the glass in the frame. That's a great idea. I wonder if I could do that with like, a picture of Buddha. Oh, my God. I never. I promise you guys. I know that we've joked about me getting a bird. I know we've joked about the farm animals, but I promise you, right here and now, I'm not getting another animal inside my home. Probably don't want to get one for the farm either, because the vet also said that people have to put farm animals down too, which I never. That, like, never crossed my mind.
Lindsay Chrisley
I didn't even think of that either.
Kale Lowry
And, like, I don't think I got to put my chick down, but, like, my pigs and my goats, I mean.
Lindsay Chrisley
That makes total sense to me. But, like, why would we have never thought of that?
Kale Lowry
I don't know. Like, well, because, to be honest, like, I don't know, I just thought farm.
Lindsay Chrisley
Animals, like, ran away.
Kale Lowry
Yeah. Or they just, like, disappear into the abyss.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah. Like, right.
Kale Lowry
Wait, they don't ever really die. They just become one with the earth.
Lindsay Chrisley
Speaking of dogs and passing away, have you seen that tick tock? I'll have to find it. It's some woman, and she had, like, the DNA preserved or whatever of her dog before it passed and then essentially reincarnated it and then got a new dog. Have you seen this?
Kale Lowry
Never in my life.
Lindsay Chrisley
I'll have to find the tick tock. But I got invested in this woman because she kind of, like, left me on a cliffhanger. It was kind of like watching a true crime. Like, you're waiting till the next episode. And, I mean, she said it was like thousands and thousands and thousands of, like, over $20,000 to do this. Saved the DNA. Like, waited years. I don't know how they got the DNA in someone else. It basically sounded like IVF for a dog. Does that make sense?
Kale Lowry
That's kind of weird. And if people are doing that for animals, like, I'm telling you right now, I never want to come back in this life. Like, once I'm gone, do not resuscitate. Do not bring me back. Do not clone me. Do not. I do not want to come back.
Lindsay Chrisley
I do.
Kale Lowry
To do what?
Lindsay Chrisley
I want to come back as a bird. I'm most terrified of birds, truly. Like, I do not really like birds, to tell you the truth. Now, like, the kind of bird that you were gonna get is like, a different scenario that's more of, like, a pet. Birds outside in the sky freak me out, but I feel like you would know so much, you know what I mean? Like, you just hang on a little power line and fly from, like, tree to tree and you can look in people's houses. Like, you can be a peeping Tom. Like, you can know everything that's going on.
Kale Lowry
What is the purpose of doing all of that if you can't gossip about it on a podcast?
Lindsay Chrisley
I would probably be pretending that I had my own podcast, but I wouldn't know any different, you know what I mean? And, like, do you ever think of birds? Birds are fascinating to me. Because I'm. I thought about this when we had our like, snow and ice days. Do you think that they have friends and they like, talk? Yes, because I see the same birds and like people are going to say that I'm crazy, but I see the same birds in my yard pretty much every day. Like there's a cardinal, there's a bluebird, and it always comes and it's the exact same one.
Kale Lowry
It says. Yes. Many bird species form complex long term social bonds that closely resemble friendships.
Lindsay Chrisley
Wow.
Kale Lowry
They choose specific companions for foraging, roosting and mutual protection. With species like ravens, parrots and starlings demonstrating strong preferences and in some case recognizing individual partners. That's really cool. I would not. I don't want to come back. I don't want to be reincarnated. I don't want to come back in any way, shape or form.
Lindsay Chrisley
If you were like on this earth but as something else, like not a human, what would you be? I would be an otter.
Kale Lowry
I would be a shark or a wolf. Probably a wolf.
Lindsay Chrisley
Why?
Kale Lowry
I don't know. They're just fascinating to me, both of them. I just read a book about wolves. What? Once There Were wolves by Charlotte McConaughey, if you're interested. It was really fascinating and it was about like the study of the wolves. And I mean, that wasn't the story, right? But like it was like the subplot maybe. I don't even know if I use that word. And then I also read Unwanted by Mia Sheridan, which also tells the story of wolves, kind of. They're so fascinating. And then sharks. Because I think I would be at the top of the hierarchy of sharks.
Lindsay Chrisley
It's very interesting. See, I would want to be an otter because I think they have lifetime mates.
Kale Lowry
Do you know penguins cheat on each other?
Lindsay Chrisley
Wait, what?
Kale Lowry
They're like supposed to be monogamous but they like end up cheating and there's like quarrels over the cheating.
Lindsay Chrisley
How did you know that?
Kale Lowry
I saw it on Tick Tock.
Lindsay Chrisley
Were you one of those people that watched Discovery Channel when you were a little kid?
Kale Lowry
My mom didn't have cable.
Lindsay Chrisley
So what'd you do?
Kale Lowry
I lined up my stuffed animals and played teacher. Oh, inside my room.
Lindsay Chrisley
I used to play teacher at my grandparents house and like also waitress. And I would charge my siblings for me to be their waitress and my granddaddy got free service.
Kale Lowry
Wait, I should make my kids do that? Be like, okay, everyone, every single night for dinner, one of the kids is serving everyone so they can understand what it is like and how to treat.
Lindsay Chrisley
People in customer service 1000%. Wait, completely. Completely changing the subject, what is this about merch? That you want to have a conversation.
Kale Lowry
With me about merch?
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, you said that you wanted to talk about merch.
Kale Lowry
I did, yeah.
Lindsay Chrisley
Did you forget?
Kale Lowry
Oh, I just wanted to mention that we have new Valentine's Day drop and. Oh, there goes my stomach. This is one of them. The Kitty Gang merch that we have. And then we have this little. We love the little kitty.
Lindsay Chrisley
It's so cute. I think that actually, since we've been on this recording, I don't know if you heard my doorbell ring and then the knock, but I'm pretty sure that was my BS from you. That was the merch.
Kale Lowry
The what?
Lindsay Chrisley
The UPS package from you. That is merch.
Kale Lowry
Okay, well, so there's merch, there's coffee combos merch coming to you, but there's also a PR box from me to you. Would love to get your filmed reaction when you open it. So it's a smaller box from me, and then the bigger box is the merch.
Lindsay Chrisley
Got it. Okay, well, I will let you know and I will send you a video. Okay. So you said that there was a lawsuit that was going on. Yeah. And that because I didn't understand how dangerous it was until I read it.
Kale Lowry
I created a little album in my phone so that I could screenshot. Screenshot things to talk about on the podcast. And so I'm just scrolling doom scrolling. And I see this thing on TikTok and it's a woman saying, just a reminder from an attorney. She is an attorney. Roblox is being sued for sex trafficking and child sex abuse. Roblox allegedly new children could be contacted by pre predators posing as avatars, but failed to put adequate safeguards in place. So Roblox. Roblox knew this and didn't protect the children. Parents, check in with your kids, review chats and friend lists and trust your instinct. Instincts, as always. DME if you have concerns or need lawy referrals and consults. And so I said that because my kids are on Roblox, and Lincoln looks at me and he goes, yeah, mom, you didn't know that? So, like, my son knew that there was a lawsuit before I did, and that's obviously really concerning. Lincoln doesn't really get on roadblocks like that. But I know Lux has. I know Creed has. I know Elliot has. I mean, they're not like regular players. But I was concerned because I also know so many other moms whose kids are on Roblox and Like, not for nothing, you hear Roblox and you're like, oh, it's just like a kids game, you know what I mean? Like, you don't think anything of it. So now you have to verify your age with a selfie that moves is one of the things that they're putting in place. Yeah, like you have to. They do have safeguards in place now, but it's like the fact that they knew and they didn't do anything about it ahead of time is really concerning.
Lindsay Chrisley

I do know that there are ways to disable certain features on Roblox. Okay, I don't think Jackson has the chat feature on his Roblox. I think that will figured out how to disable that part. But when you told me about this, I looked up and it took. County lawsuit against Roblox alleges gaming platform exposes children to sexual predators. It says roblox reaches some 85 million children a day, with half of them under the age of 13, it says. But with that popularity comes risk. Dozens of lawsuits have been filed against the company accusing them of creating a platform that makes it easy for predators to target these kids. The latest one filed Wednesday involves a 9 year old boy in Cook County. It's one of the country's most popular gaming platforms. On it, users can play any number of games and communicate with friends. But what happens when the person on the other side of this chat is a stranger with ill intent? And a quote, it says we had a predator come in and say that he was a child of the same age. And this was coming from an attorney like law group. It says in a quote, our nine year old client then sent explicit photos of himself, of his body to the perpetrator. It says the child's family has now filed. What is the late in. What is the latest in the string of lawsuits against Roblox over the last year? They are accusing the company of exposing children to sexual predators in at least one case that led to kidnapping and sexual assault.
Kale Lowry
Yeah, that's not okay with me. And I just, I don't even know, honestly. Roblox at that point should have been shut down. Do you know what I'm saying? Like at the point that there are multiple incidences like this, it should have been shut down until it was completely rectified, possibly even new owners or whatever. I don't know what all goes into a company like Roblox, but like, I mean these are children we're talking, we're not talking about adults that can fend for themselves. Do you know what I'm saying? And I don't care, I don't care what people say, oh well, you shouldn't let your kids play on it without your supervision. Okay, but like you said, I mean under 13, I could, I feel like I can trust my 12 or 13 year old to go in the other room and play Roblox. Like I should be able to trust them to do that.
Lindsay Chrisley
So to me, like that they're safe.
Kale Lowry
Yes.
Lindsay Chrisley
So, you know.
Kale Lowry
Yes.
Lindsay Chrisley
It is the company's responsibility, in my opinion, to put up safeguards for these children if they want them to be users of said app. And what I find is that these apps become trends. Right? So if your friend's playing it at school, then you want to play it. And then, you know, kids don't understand when you say no to something, why you're saying no. And then you don't necessarily really want to get into the conversation of, well, somebody could be sending you nude photos. It's like an adult or whatever. Like how do you even have a conversation?
Kale Lowry
Yeah, and like explaining predators because like when, when Lincoln looked at me and told me that he knew already, obviously Lux and Creed were around and it's like, I don't know how to explain what's a predator, you know, to a five and eight year old. You know what I mean? So it's kind of creating. I mean, I had to figure it out and it was challenging, but it's. This shouldn't be something that we have to worry about.
Lindsay Chrisley
I mean, this has really been going on since the Internet, if you think about it. Because back when we had like, dial up, you had to listen to. It was like, like, you know, dialing up.
Kale Lowry
How did it go?
Lindsay Chrisley
Like, you just, like, heard the Internet, like, dialing to somewhere. And they had the AOL chat rooms. Remember that?
Kale Lowry
Yeah. When I finally got a computer that was 100 years old, I was in these random chat rooms just to chat. I never had AIM until it wasn't cool anymore.
Lindsay Chrisley
So wait, but, like, what were y' all chatting about in the chat rooms? Because I was never going in the chat rooms.
Kale Lowry
I went in a chat room once, and it was like a Yahoo chat room. And I'm. When I tell you guys that the computer was like a hundred years old, it was so old. And it would always like, just like, force quit on me. So I would be in the middle of a chat room. You can't ever get back to those same people. And someone said they were from the uk And I was like, where that. And he goes, are you serious? And then he just got off. And I, like, didn't know. I was like, I've never had chat on. Like, help me out. I don't know what's going on.
Lindsay Chrisley
But why. When the Internet became the Internet, did anyone think that it was normal for children to be in chat rooms with people that we don't know?
Kale Lowry
Oh, nobody knew I was doing that.
Lindsay Chrisley
No, I know, but like, that. It's the same thing as Roblox, like, to some degree. Like, why are you private chatting with strangers?
Kale Lowry
Listen, my. That's why my kids don't have iPads. Because if they have, like, I don't truly. Now I don't even know. Like, do you. Can you just play Roblox on any device? Phone, laptop.
Lindsay Chrisley
I know specifically, Jackson has it on his iPad and his phone.
Kale Lowry
Okay. How terrifying.
Lindsay Chrisley
I actually need to read you a text message string that came through today. Okay. Number one, how do we feel about our kids taking their cellular device to school?
Kale Lowry
I let them. I let my kids take it to school. I know high school, I think, is, like, harder. Like, nobody's gonna. Let me not say nobody. I'm never gonna send my kid to school. Without a phone in high school because you just don't know what goes on. And after the incident where Elliot was assaulted, and I didn't find out from the school directly, I found out from my nephew. I told you this. I will never not do that again. So I let Lincoln and Elliot both take their phones. Lincoln, unfortunately, because of his grade, he has to keep it in his backpack, but at least it's there. If, like, if he needs to call, he can ask his teacher, hey, can I call my mom? Or, hey, can I text my mom this really quick? Like, there's one time he's. He forgot I had signed a form, and he left it on the counter, and I guess his teacher let him text me to bring it or whatever. Cool. Love that. But why do you not want Jackson to bring his phone to school?
Lindsay Chrisley
It's just interesting because I was at, like, the local watering hole not too long ago, and I had gone to get, like, one of their lunch specials. And this was back when teachers were already, like, out of school for the holiday break. And the conversation came up about how some of these teachers felt about cell phones in the classroom and being allowed into the school building. And I understand why some of them would feel that it's not necessary to have a cell phone at school, and it just creates a distraction. Like, I get that. But at the same time, as a parent, there have been multiple incidents, like, just this year alone, like, Jackson's bus catching on fire. I don't know if you remember me telling you that, but, like, his bus caught on fire. Not had his cell phone. He wouldn't have been able to contact me to let me know what was going on, because Will and I were standing at the bus stop, and it was like, an hour late, and we're like, where's our kid? And so I was able to go on and see his location in another neighborhood. And then he contacts me, and he's like, we had to emergency evacuate, like, our bus was on fire. So for reasons like that. And then there was, like, a code red at the school one time. And of course, we get the alerts, like, to our emails pretty quickly that there's a code red at the school.
Kale Lowry
And.
Lindsay Chrisley
And he was able to text me to let me know, like, hey, everything's okay. And I. I felt more comfortable being able to have the direct contact with my child. Teachers don't love it. I know that there's some type of. They were talking about how there's, like, some type of law where kids aren't going to be able to take the phones to school anymore. I don't know how much truth there is to that.
Kale Lowry
I know Texas already has a statewide law that you cannot use your phone in school. Which I do. Like it's a double edged sword because I do understand the consequen of like the kids having their phones and how their distraction and cheating and this and that. But like with how much, how many incidents are occurring regularly the same way Jackson's bus caught on fire. Remember Elliot's got into a car, a bus accident last year and I literally was the first one on the scene at like 6:15am like also Elliot getting beat up if my nephew didn't have a phone to call his dad and for his dad to call me. What the. Do you know what I'm saying? So it's like there's too many incidences for that to, to, for there not to be allowed phones and. But I like, I do get it. Like I understand the frustration with the phones but at the same time it's like you can't sit here and expect them to have Chromebooks because did you know, did you know what they're doing with the Chromebooks?
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah. Aren't they like making documents and then like communicating through the document?
Kale Lowry
Because on like Google Sheets and Google Drive and stuff you can see people's what they're typing in real time. So they're just distracted on their Chromebooks. But the Chromebooks to me is a problem too. I wish they would just take the Chromebooks. I prefer like my kids don't even know how to study out of a textbook. Like Lincoln came home and he was like talking about, you know, not having school or whatever and needing to do assignments. But like they don't know how to study out of a textbook. Everything is online but we're not processing that type of information. Like I can't study from a computer. I won't even take online classes because it's so hard for me to navigate. I want to physically go sit down in a classroom and I want to learn the. And I want to take notes. That's how I learn best. So like I don't. You can't have it both ways. You can't say yep, here's a Chromebook. But no, you can't have your phone.
Lindsay Chrisley
Because the argument that I was gonna bring up too, it's like if it's just going to be no technology, just let it be no technology. Let's not pick and choose what we're going to allow and what we're not so interesting that you say about the textbooks because Jackson, to my knowledge, unless they have textbooks like in the classroom that they're using, he's never brought a textbook home. The only book, the only books that ever come home are like books where if they visited the library or something like that, but there is no textbook. And I also learned that way too. Like, everything was like pen and paper, a physical textbook. I feel like I can learn so much better that I'm touching it and everything is on like canvas or whatever. And they have to go through all of these modules to get all of like the writing material and stuff like that. I have like a love hate relationship with it because I do think that it's preparing them for the real world when they get out there and they're in a job and they're having to share documents and like, stuff like that. I get it for those purposes. I just don't see how it's necessarily as effective of learning. Jackson will get an actual physical paper. So let's say it's like multiple choice and he'll get a physical paper for math and he fills it out, but then for the grading part, he has to go and put like those answers from that physical paper and into Canvas and submit it.
Kale Lowry
But here's the thing though, like, and obviously this is no shade to the teachers because keep in mind, they don't create the curriculum themselves, right? Like, they buy it usually. I think. Don't quote me on that. What is the purpose of the Chromebooks if they're not actively learning how to do literal spreadsheets and literal MLA format and literal research? If they're not actively learning how to do those types of things that would help them the real world, they're not really benefiting anyone in any way because you're just going on a website, clicking, picking out a book, reading it and answering the questions. Okay, great. You could do that on paper too. That's not really teaching them anything. I need them if they're going to be on a Chromebook. The whole purpose, in my opinion, for the spreadsheet or the Chromebook part of it is to learn skills that would help them in the real world. Otherwise, the Chromebook is useless.
Lindsay Chrisley

Oh, Jackson doesn't use any of the school issued electronic devices. I don't know how your county is, but they are permitted to be able to bring like an iPad in lieu of the Chromebook. So if they want to work on I guess like Safari or you know, whatever it is like they're used to Apple, they're permitted to be able to bring an outside device into to the school other than the school issued Chromebook. I personally prefer that. I know somebody whose child. I mean, they're getting issued Chromebooks in our county, I think all the way as early as kindergarten or first grade. And these kids are breaking these Chromebooks and then owing hundreds of dollars to the school.
Kale Lowry
Creed's in kindergarten and he doesn't have one. So I believe in our district it starts in first grade. But I said that because Valley kept picking up Lux's Chromebook the other day because we haven't had school for three days and she kept picking up his laptop. And I said, come get this laptop, this Chromebook, because it's going to get broken. But I didn't. I actually don't know if we're permitted. If we are, I'm gonna, I am probably gonna switch them out because I've already found some random kids charger. I'm assuming it got mixed up with either Lux's or Lincoln, so I had to put it in a Ziploc bag and send it back to the school. But like, that means somebody else has one of my kids. Like, I don't want to be responsible. And I told them, I said if one of these gets broken, I'm not paying paying for it, so you guys better figure it out.
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, so the whole reason that I brought up the phones at school was because Jackson was texting Will and I in a group chat at like 10 o' clock this morning. So in my mind, like, it's not my parenting day, but I know when he has school and when he doesn't. And I know it's. He's supposed to be at school. So I'm like, how is he group texting us?
Kale Lowry
Yeah.
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, then Will sends a screenshot of his conversation with Jackson. And this is what's going on on this conversation.
Kale Lowry
Proof.
Lindsay Chrisley
LeBron doesn't know Ball. I cooked you on the reg so much so that you stopped playing me. That's what Will Says to Jackson, like, while he's at school, I cook you on the reg. Jackson responds, I am your owner.
Kale Lowry
No, no, Lindsay, how. Like, what. How. How do you deal with. Would freaking lose it. So then I hook you on the reg. And then he says, I am your owner. Like, I would lose my mind.
Lindsay Chrisley
I just, like, can't. And then a couple minutes later, as if it wasn't, like, enough, number one, why are we communicating while you're at school? Like, go do your school work. I will have a conversation with you when you get home. Then he says, what have you done to my iPad? And he starts sending screenshots of Tick tock exceeding your age rating and how he can't go onto the app. So I'm sitting here, and I'm like, why are y' all arguing back and forth? And it's probably some type of, like, firewall or whatever they call it to where you can't get on certain apps while you're at school. And I'm like, why are you trying to get watch basketball videos while you're at school? And this is why they say you can't have devices.
Kale Lowry
I love Jackson and Will so much, and they hardly even know who I am. And that is so funny to me. Like, the way that Lincoln and Jackson would get along so well. I know, because Lux can keep up. They would have so much fun. Like, they would just. It would be a riot.
Lindsay Chrisley
I wish that we were neighbors so that our kids could run them up. So I just respond to this. Like, I see this going on in the group chat, and I'm like. Like, none of this involves me. Like, I didn't sign up.
Kale Lowry
Why am I here?
Lindsay Chrisley
You know, on this morning at 10:00am So I said, what's going on with LeBron? Jack goes, doesn't matter.
Kale Lowry
Wait, why are you involving me? Time out. Time out in the game. Okay, hold up. Because this brings me. I wasn't. I don't think it was on this sheet.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh, you put it there that 50 Cent says he's coming for LeBron next.
Kale Lowry
Yes, 50 Cent said he was coming for LeBron next. I don't know. So let me see if I have it in my screenshot. I literally. I told you I created a little. Because I'm like, I don't want to Forget these topics. 50 Cent tweeted LeBron and said, hey, yo, LeBron, stop acting like you innocent. You next. And it ain't about basketball champ. And that was a long time ago, but it, like, resurfaced. So that tweet specifically, allegedly was from 50 Cent to LeBron October 26, 2023. Which means there's stuff in the vault between 50 Cent and LeBron James.
Lindsay Chrisley
I mean, I really wish to some degree that we could get as petty as 50 Cent. I mean, time. The amount of stress that I feel like would come along with that level of pettiness is just not what. What I'm signing up for. For the rest of 2026, I'll sign.
Kale Lowry
Up for 50 Cent to do a docu series, but it won't be about me. It'll be me as the victim.
Lindsay Chrisley
Speaking of victim. And it wasn't funny because I don't even know. I just laughed. The update on Idaho 4.
Kale Lowry
Oh, my God. Okay, so yesterday I was in bed. I literally. I don't think I got out of bed until I showered at like 6pm I finally got out of bed to shower at 6pm and so this woman comes on my screen and she's talking about how there is a little bit of an update and some revelations in the Idaho, Idaho 4 case. And yes, I understand that we have Brian Coburger. He's in prison and, you know, his sister has come forward, so justice is supposed to be being served. However, in this new revelation, they were saying that essentially Brian Coburger did in fact see Dylan close her door. Like, they made eye contact. But Brian Coburger physically could not attack another person. He was exhausted. He did not expect Zanna to put up the fight that she put up. And so stabbing someone is. Takes a huge toll on someone's body. Right. Like, it's exhausting. I don't even know how he did what he did with the four people that he did kill. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? In such a. I think they said it was like under 15 minutes. Right. He did make allegedly make eye contact with Dylan, but could not physically attack her. And he just didn't expect Santa to put up a fight like she did. And maybe if she didn't put up a fight, maybe he could have attacked Dylan. But I was just blown away. But so that actually piqued my interest more to say that, like, obviously Dylan saw and knew more than what they expected. And just hearing all the recordings that have been coming out since Brian's sentencing and stuff has sort of been concerning because clearly Bethany and Dylan did know more than they led on. And they very much knew that something was not great. And they waited until. And I get it, some people are arguing, well, even if they called the police sooner they wouldn't have survived. But that's not the point.
Lindsay Chrisley
No, I know. Like, I believe it was Dylan early on when the reports came out that she had identified the person with. Wearing what, black, with bushy eyebrows or like a ski mask or something like that. And I don't know if you remember this, but I always had the question of if she got that good of a look of him, then he had to have gotten a look of her.
Kale Lowry
Yep. But I think because he had the ski mask on, he kind of knew that he. He could identify him. She could just describe what she saw. But I think he was. I agree. That makes so much sense now. It's like he physically could not. I mean, could you imagine stabbing four people to death and then you see another one's wide awake, and now you have to make the decision of, like, should I stab her or should I go?
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, and probably for him, I believe that he thought he was way smarter. And I. I've always said this. I think he thought he was way smarter than what he actually was. Yeah, but you can't convince me that he didn't know how many roommates actually lived in that house. So if he's already got four, which I guess Ethan wasn't technically a roommate. He's already got four. And then he sees Dylan. If he had done his research, he would know that there was still another roommate that could be existing there at that time. The risk of him attacking her, even if he was in a state to where he could. I just don't think he would take the risk. I'm with you. Like, he's got.
Kale Lowry
He may not have known that Ethan was there.
Lindsay Chrisley
I'm under the impression that he probably didn't. Unless.
Kale Lowry
Like, he might not have prepared for Ethan or Zanna at all. Like, he might not have prepared for Eth. Like Ethan at all. And then Zanna, One to be awake and be a victim. Like, I think he went in for his two targets originally. And then Xana and Ethan were both surprises for him. And then Santa put up the fight that she put up.
Lindsay Chrisley
So part of me just believes that Kaylee was the target and that he was not expecting.
Kale Lowry
You mean Maddie. Madison was the target. Everyone thought it was Kaylee, but it was Madison.
Lindsay Chrisley
It was Madison. So he. He went in for Madison. I don't think that he expected that Madison and Kaylee would be.
Kale Lowry
I agree.
Lindsay Chrisley
And so I think that that's possibly how it went south. And then Zanna and Ethan, or just one of them, heard what was going on, and then Maybe went outside their room, then he had to do it to them.
Kale Lowry
Yep. I agree with you.
Lindsay Chrisley
Speaking of true crime stuff, though, I don't know if you have watched Witness to a Murder, Digital Evidence on Hul.
Kale Lowry
You. I haven't. I haven't even heard of it.
Lindsay Chrisley
So I actually just finished watching it over the weekend. And the amount of, like, different crimes, because every episode follows, like, a different story.
Kale Lowry
Okay.
Lindsay Chrisley
And it shows you, like, how they're using digital evidence to solve these crimes.
Kale Lowry
And so digital evidence, like, you're like your. Your web footprint, or what is it called?
Lindsay Chrisley
Your digital footprint. Yeah. So, like, using cell towers, using Fitbits, using, like, all of these different types of devices to. They used. On one of these episodes, they used a Nintendo Switch. So it was like this professor that worked at a college, was supposed to have a class, didn't show up. Multiple people from the university, like, went out essentially to do, like, a welfare check on him because it wasn't normal for him not to show up for a class, realize that the back door is a jar, go in, see that he's dead. And they eliminated that. It was like any type of, like, robbery or anything like that because there was. Was money that was left. There were devices that were left. There was his. His cell phone was left. But the one thing that was missing was a Nintendo Switch. So they were able to use where that Nintendo Switch, because the box was left there for the Nintendo Switch. So they had all the information on it, and they were able to use, like, where that Nintendo Switch connected to the next WI Fi and that's what led them to the killer.
Kale Lowry
That is so smart.
Lindsay Chrisley
Isn't that crazy?
Kale Lowry
Well, but people are stupid to think that that's not possible when we're literally like, even years and years ago, people were tracking cell towers and where things were pinging. Like, do you remember the Skyler Neeson case I told you about years ago?
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah.
Kale Lowry
Where the three best friends were driving. I think it was between, like, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. And then they were able to track the cell phone towers and everything. And then Brian Coburger, same thing. It's like, you guys have to be idiots to think that your technology can't be tracked, especially if you, like, register like, some of the. I don't know, like, I don't ever register my electronics, but, like, I think you can register them for, like, warranties and stuff like that. And so, like, there's digital footprints everywhere. I think even, like, just like going to the store for a purchase, I think can be tracked. You Know what I mean?
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh. It was like, if you watch this show, it'll show you, like, where they were able to track, like, you know, some cars have, like, OnStar or something like that in there. So they're able to track, like, the vehicle to a parking lot. And then they take the time stamps of the vehicle being in that parking lot and then go to, like, let's say it's Walmart. Go to Walmart, and then they get all of their footage and then they're able to see the person in the store, like, at the checkout. And then they're able to follow like, like credit card transactions and stuff like that. Like, this one situation was crazy. So this man and what they were like husband and wife, they had been separated for 11 months. Their divorce was supposed to be finalized the following month. It was something with, like, insurance or maybe they had like a prenup or something like that that he would be able to get all of the assets if she was dead. So she goes to, like, this workout after work. She worked at the police department. She goes to a workout after work, goes to a Walmart or grocery store or something like that. Comes back home, car in the driveway, doesn't show up at work the next day. So the police department sends, you know, officers out there. They hit the front of the car to see if it had been hot. It was like, freezing cold. Back door is a jar. Go in, find blood absolutely everywhere. So they start questioning all these people, and it goes through, like, every person that could be a potential suspect. Like, they're going through it on the show. And then they get to the ex husband and find, like, his Fitbit activity, her Fitbit activity, phone records where he had turned his phone off during the time of, like, when she would have been murdered. And then they found fingernail clippings from where he had abandoned. He abandoned his personal car in a Walmart parking lot and took the tags off of it, thinking that nobody's ever going to find it and find her fingernail clippings because she scratched his face. So he caught her fingernails after he killed her. And the DNA was in the car.
Kale Lowry
Okay, but there's just, like, not really a way to get away with murder at this point. Because if you think about it, even when, like, detectives can see when you turn your phone off. So I know in the past we've been like, oh, this left their phone on. You're supposed to turn it off. Like, we, you and I have both said it also tell when you turn your phone off. So maybe Leave it at home. Leave it on.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yep.
Kale Lowry
Like, what do you. And all the ring doorbells that are out there these days. And like, like, even this content house, I have cameras outside. I have cameras in the garage. I have cameras everywhere. So it's like, even if someone was breaking in next door, like, you could.
Lindsay Chrisley
See your camera could catch it.
Kale Lowry
Do you remember Chris Watts, where it was like, neighbors ring cameras were catching somebody moving stuff into, like, the. From the garage into his truck and stuff like that. It's like, why are you risking it?
Lindsay Chrisley
It's just so insane to me. I can't remember. You and I talked about, like, how many cameras were within, like, a certain amount of miles. Remember when we talked about that? With ring doorbells and all the technology that we have, and everything is tracked, whether you want it to be or not, it's tracked. You're not going to get away with it. Will told me one time that if he was going to kill me, he would use the ice pick because it would melt.
Kale Lowry
I actually read a book like that, and it was like, murder in the Winter Time in the snow, because the snow melted and then the evidence was mostly gone. That's actually terrifying. But it's. But even still, if he used an ice pick in the snow, Lindsay, somebody's ring camera is picking it up. So rest assured that I will find him.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh, my God. Wait, okay, so when I was watching this show, I sent a text to Alessandra, and I was like, hey, grab a glass of wine and turn this on like it's a goodie. And then I sent her a screenshot of this article. It was from People magazine, and the headline was, and I'm not going to go into the whole details, but it says, senior pilot allegedly punched first officer in cockpit after argument over speeding on Runway at lax. And I said, that's absolutely me. And Kale.
Kale Lowry
Wait, punched or hunched? Punched the co pilot? Punched the pilot?
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, in the cockpit after an argument of speeding on the Runway.
Kale Lowry
I said, that's not funny, but it's funny. Like. Like, why did he punch him? Like, what Punch you? If I start speeding and you don't agree with it, I feel like you just clock me.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, I would just clock you. Like, I will never forget of all car rides of my life, you driving from Houston to Dallas during the live shows. Like. Like, I quite literally wanted to slap you in the side of the face with my cheese quesadilla.
Kale Lowry
Wait, you never told me this. What was wrong with my.
Lindsay Chrisley
In the back seat? Because you were just, like, flying down the road, you're like, oh, we got to get to Dallas fast.
Kale Lowry
I'm like, I was tired, Lindsay. Like, we were driving in the middle of the night.
Lindsay Chrisley
I know, but that's even more of a reason not speeding. And, like, I had Taco Bell on the back. And I'm trying to, like, like, put hot sauce on my shit. And you're just like, flying the down the road. Like, I'm gonna slap this with my quesadilla if she does not slow down.
Kale Lowry
I just want to tell you that I also emailed the agency this morning and was like, hey, guys, could you get a couple more live tour dates on the calendar for me? So I hope you're prepared. Living life on the edge during tour is a great time. I guess not for Lindsay. She was ready to punch me in the face.
Lindsay Chrisley
But yeah, I'm like, if this does not slow down, because what is the purpose of going that fast on the freeway when we might not get there? Based off of these driving skills, I'm.
Kale Lowry
Pretty sure I was going just. Just the speed limit, you know what I mean? So. And it was Texas, so I was like, we're good, you know, and so we made it. And then I think I was just so tired. What time did we even get to from. We drove from Houston to Dallas in the middle of the night. I think we got there at like 3 in the morning.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, it was like 3am and we.
Kale Lowry
Had to be up by 6 or 7. So it was. I was tired and I was like, the faster we get there, the F can sleep well.
Lindsay Chrisley
We're gonna be like big back University, like, on our tour.
Kale Lowry
So I. I have to tell you guys, I am desperately trying to get some tour dates on the books. They're going to be a little bit fewer and far between because we're not in the same position that we were in 2024. And so I have to be very strategic about the weekends and like, what weekends I have my kids versus don't. And so a lot of them are going to be probably east Coast. I don't know that will make it really anywhere else but. And Lindsay, I hope, will come on whatever one she can make it to. So that'll be really fun. And so, yeah, I'm just trying to get some stuff on the books. Like, I'm trying to go back on tour.
Lindsay Chrisley
I am really excited. And you'll have to keep us updated. I also saw this thing when I was, like, scrolling through Facebook. You know, it's like screen grabs of like, like, magazine Headlines, right? And it's Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. And I related this quote so much and I know that you will too. It says I see pictures of Gwen and I on social media that I really go, that looks so real. But I don't know, I don't even own that shirt or whose car is that?
Kale Lowry
No, because I. Somebody. No, it's AI. But like I see him a lot on Facebook. More than Facebook. Tik Tok. And it'll be like a picture of me and a whole paragraph of like basically quoting me and it's like never. Yes. And they're all of me and I've seen so many. It's like these long paragraph quoting me. And I never said that it's concerning because people believe that those things are real. And I'm like, I can't. I don't have time for another scandal that is not real. You know what I mean? Like I don't. I'm not doing damage control.
Lindsay Chrisley
Listen, the scandals got to get over. You know what I mean?
Kale Lowry
Yeah, they do.
Lindsay Chrisley
We do not have foul play this week, but we do have an email that was sent to us and I want to read it. It says, hi Kale and Lindsay, I've been listening to the pod back since you launched 2017, 2018 and y' all have got me through some crazy times in my life. Toxic relationships, breakups, friend fallouts, to now becoming a stepmom mom. I'm looking to some for some advice on how to approach co parenting situation. For the most part my step kids mom has been problem free for me personally during the step parenting journey. But she makes my boyfriend's life extremely difficult. We all, we all do the pickups and drop offs. 30ish minutes there and back and she never meets us halfway. Which is fine if there was some compromise surrounding other issues. For context, my boyfriend and I have been together for two years and he has been divorced from his ex wife going on six.

Six.

She left him. Which is why I'm confused as to why she continues to make his life difficult. She speaks negatively about my boyfriend to the children and discusses their co parenting issues with my 13 and 11 year old step kids. So much so that they have both approached my boyfriend asking questions about child support, scheduling and other adult concerns. She also puts communication of scheduling on the children because she refuses to communicate with my boyfriend directly. Overall, we choose to let her be this way to avoid further conflict. We never speak bad about their mom and on our side and we try to be age appropriate, open and honest when we can with the kids. We don't live together right now, but are making plans to do so. And I'm concerned with how her actions are going to impact our home and our schedule going forward. I've thought about reaching out to her in the future and extend my support as a united front for the kids and advise her that she can come to me if she would prefer not to speak to my boyfriend when it pertains to the kids. But I am worried that it will feel like I'm attacking her. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, a stepmom just trying to do the right thing.
Kale Lowry
This one's tough because I also go through this with Lux and Creed. Lux knows entirely too much and it's not from my end. And so I then have to, like, speak to him in an age appropriate way. In an age appropriate way, unfortunately. I think the moral of this whole thing is, like, you're never going to be able to control someone else's actions, and it doesn't matter what you do. This person, to her point, like the other parent, the bio mom, feeling like it's an attack back, could actually make it. It could make it worse. I would almost just basically leave it alone and let you. You cannot control what she does, so just let it go. If you try to do anything to make it better, it could make it worse. And if you don't want it to get worse, I wouldn't risk it. That's my advice.
Lindsay Chrisley
I love your advice and wish that I could be the person that could take advice like that, but if this was my situation, I would heed the warning and get out, because it. It's probably never going to change.
Kale Lowry
Oh, oh, oh, you mean for like the stepmom to remove herself? Okay, I could see that. Also. I just mean if she's going to stay. But to your point, like, if it was me, I would leave the. Unfortunately, leave the relationship. And that's not fair to the relationship or the kids because it's like, if you as a stepmom have a really great relationship with those kids, it's not anything they did. But like, if this doesn't feel like it's going to get any better, that's also.
Lindsay Chrisley
It's like you're signing up to tread water basically the rest of those kids life. And like, for me, I. I couldn't do it. I don't have a toxic divorce situation. I don't need to deal with somebody else's.
Kale Lowry
Yeah, I get that.

Hosts: Kail Lowry & Lindsie Chrisley
Date: January 29, 2026
Network: PodcastOne
In this candid and emotionally charged episode, Kail and Lindsie catch up as 2026 gets off to a rough start for both. They talk real-life struggles—illnesses, loss, co-parenting woes, and tough parenting decisions—while still finding time for lighter moments on animal reincarnation, tech gripes, and reality TV drama. The episode dives deep into grief over lost pets, safety and tech concerns for their kids, co-parenting boundaries, and the latest true crime obsessions.
Timestamps: 00:25–02:22
Health Woes: Kail is recovering from strep throat; Lindsie started the year with COVID. Both commiserate about never-ending doctor’s appointments and feeling “put on their ass” by 2026.
Insurance Frustrations: Scheduling annual checks for herself and Jackson is a nightmare for Lindsie because her insurance requires a year-and-a-day between appointments.
"2026...it has put me on my ass worse than 2025." — Kale Lowry (00:52)
Timestamps: 03:16–05:55
Instagram Name Change: Lindsie has changed her last name back to Campbell on Instagram, prompting confusion from Kail (“how many last names do you have?”).
Kids and Divorce: Lindsie notices regression in Jackson around her divorce, especially when she and her ex-husband Will do anything together as parents. Kail relates with her experience co-parenting Lincoln.
"We're divorced people... that's not what I would consider, like, the norm, where he's hosting the sleepover and I'm, like, divvying out breakfast in his kitchen." — Lindsie Chrisley (04:34)
Timestamps: 06:24–18:14
Kail’s Dog Buddha: An emotional recounting of having Buddha euthanized at home, with kids processing the loss differently by age.
Reactions to Grief: Kail shares small moments—like the kids wondering if Buddha is “in the sky eating a bone”—and struggles with what to do with Buddha’s bed and remains.
Supporting Children: Lindsie draws parallels to loss in her family and how her grandmother processed the death of a beloved pet.
Coping Strategies: Discussion of memorializing pets (shadowbox with fabric from the pet bed; Etsy ideas), and reflections on end-of-life decisions for animals.
"People showed so much more love whenever I posted about, like, Buddha being sick... than they have ever been to me about anything related to humans." — Kale Lowry (07:47)
"I promise you guys... I'm not getting another animal inside my home." — Kale Lowry (17:06)
Timestamps: 24:16–39:47
Roblox Lawsuit: Kail and Lindsie discuss a major lawsuit accusing Roblox of enabling child sex abuse, with Kail learning her own son knew more about the risks than she did. They express shock at the scope of the problem and share tips on disabling chat features for safety.
"My son knew that there was a lawsuit before I did, and that's obviously really concerning." — Kale Lowry (24:57)
Online Safety: Lindsie recounts research on the lawsuit: over 85 million kids use Roblox daily, half under 13. They discuss the tension between freedom and protection in kids' digital lives.
Parental Philosophy: Both agree the company should do much more, as most parents reasonably expect their children will be safe in these online spaces.
“It is the company’s responsibility, in my opinion, to put up safeguards for these children if they want them to be users of said app.” — Lindsie Chrisley (30:02)
Timestamps: 32:57–41:42
Device Policy Debates: Lindsie and Kail break down the pros and cons of kids having phones at school—essential in emergencies but distracting in class.
Personal Stories: Both recount specific incidents—bus fires, code reds, accidents—where kids’ phones ensured family communication and safety.
Educational Tech Angst: They critique the reliance on Chromebooks, lament a lack of hands-on learning from textbooks, and worry about learning efficacy in a digital-only environment.
“Everything is online but we’re not processing that type of information... That’s not really teaching them anything. I need them, if they’re going to be on a Chromebook... then learn skills that would help them in the real world.” — Kail Lowry (39:18)
Timestamps: 42:06–44:26
Jackson’s Texts: Lindsie shares a comical text chain between her son Jackson and her ex-husband Will, full of basketball trash talk—even during school hours.
School Tech Blockers: Jackson’s frustration at being unable to access TikTok at school leads to finger-pointing at his mom and dad.
"LeBron doesn't know Ball. I cooked you on the reg so much so that you stopped playing me." — Will to Jackson (42:13)
Timestamps: 44:26–45:26
Timestamps: 45:34–57:02
Idaho 4 Case Update: Kail summarizes recent revelations in the quadruple homicide case, including the killer’s exhaustion, the timeline, and reasons for sparing a survivor. Lindsie ponders the role of roommates in the tragedy.
Digital Evidence in Crime: Lindsie recommends the Hulu docuseries “Witness to a Murder: Digital Evidence,” praising its focus on how digital footprints (Fitbits, Ring cameras, Nintendo Switches) help solve murders.
Impossible to Get Away: Both comment on how pervasive digital tracking now makes undetected crime extremely difficult.
"There's just, like, not really a way to get away with murder at this point. Because if you think about it, even when, like, detectives can see when you turn your phone off." — Kale Lowry (55:21)
Timestamps: 18:24–23:11
Timestamps: 61:32–64:43
Authentic, warm, and unfiltered—Kail and Lindsie bring a blend of support, candid vulnerability, and humor to challenging topics. While the episode dips into heavy, emotional narratives about grief and modern parenting, it’s balanced by sarcastic banter, honest confessions, and a willingness to laugh at themselves and each other.
Whether you’re here for the deep dives into motherhood and modern digital parenting, the juicy true crime updates, or just reality-star banter, this episode gives a raw snapshot of real life—with all its messiness and moments of connection.
