Betsy
Was she brave?

She was tired mostly. But she went to Carvana.com and found
Betsy
a great car at a great price.
Kale Lowry
No secret treasure map required. Did you have to fight a dragon?
Betsy
Nope.
Kale Lowry
She bought it 100% online from her bed, actually. Was it secret? Honey, it was as unscary as car buying could be. Did the car have a sunroof? It did, actually. Okay, good story.

Here's Kale and Lindsay.
Betsy
We're rolling in Atlanta. Do you want to know something?
Kale Lowry
Yes.
Betsy
When I think of Atlanta, I don't think of anyone else but you. And I always think of like Atlanta at one time is a collage in my brain of Ric Flair drip, Atlanta and Lindsay Chrisley.
Kale Lowry
Ric Flair drip is wild. You know that I almost got invited to a Ric Flair party one time.
Betsy
I didn't even know who Ric Flair was until you told me because we.
Kale Lowry
Rolling through the. What is it? Rolling through the.
Betsy
Through the deep. No, that's a Dell.
Kale Lowry
That's Adele.
Betsy
Oh. Rolling through the six. Yeah. With your 22s.
Kale Lowry
With my 22s.
Betsy
Yeah. Wait, what was. No. Yes. Going through the six.
Kale Lowry
Going through the drip like the A.P. yeah. Riding on a water like a jet ski.
Betsy
Yeah, but I'm trying to. You and your bestie. Yeah, yeah. You know what I'm talking about. We got to play that. Which. Which, Remember that live show? Should we play Ric Flair? We have to come out to Rick Flair Drip.
Kale Lowry
Yeah, People need to vote on what live show.
Betsy
Well, no, here's the thing, though. Like, are we gonna keep up the. The tradition of coming out as a concert to Dick down in Dallas?
Kale Lowry
I feel like it's a necessary.
Betsy
Mom, maybe we close out the show to Ric Flair Drip.
Kale Lowry
Okay.
Betsy
Because the concert is like the. Like, this tour is so much bigger that we have to show people what we did. And we had a concert, a full blown concert. Like, we were like this.
Kale Lowry
We were dancing. We weren't there.
Betsy
But like, we started. We had a concert. It was legit.
Kale Lowry
Just in the background. He's like, I want no parts of this.
Betsy
I listen. Ric Flair, should we come out to Dick down in Dallas again or should we come out to Ric Flair Drip
Kale Lowry
and end it with Dick down in Dallas? Yeah, I feel like we've got to come out to Ric Flair and then close it out.
Betsy
We could close it out to dig down Dallas.
Kale Lowry
Yes.

I don't know.
Kale Lowry
Wait, what are we subscribing to?
Betsy
I just remembered when Lux went to kindergarten and he came back and he did that Tick tock on my phone where he pranked everybody at school on the second day of school and said that he told everyone they were eating beans for lunch. And at the end of the video, he's like, if you want more of these, subscribe. Do you remember that? Tick Tock. So subscribe. Like, what are you subscribing to?
Kale Lowry
You don't have any subscription.
Betsy
Have anything to subscribe to.
Kale Lowry
It's all the kids, though. It's like the YouTube age, right? Like, our kids growing up and they're like, subscribe. And like, what are you liking? What are you liking?
Betsy
Well, what's so funny too, is I was telling Alessandra wasn't out here for it, but the makeup artist and the hair. The hair stylist asked if. Because I was talking about how sassy Valley is, and she's like, oh, like, she might get some of that from, like, does she watch, like, YouTuber tick tocks? And I said no. Like, my kids don't have iPads. My kids don't. They don't go on YouTube or anything. Like, that they don't. They have the TV or nothing. And she comes out and she's like, here's your Kindle. What the do you know about a Kindle?
Kale Lowry
Other than your mom reads one all the time?
Betsy
Where did you. It's not like I'm going around the house talking about my Kindle.
Kale Lowry
Yes, you are.
Betsy
Am I? Yes, you are. I do. So she heard it.
Kale Lowry
Yes, you absolutely do. Actually, Kill and I had a really, like, in depth conversation in hair and makeup this morning, and Kale was like, I don't know, like, where Valley gets that personality from? And she's like. She's so animated. And I'm like, kill. Have you seen yourself?
Betsy
Okay, but. And I. When I was talking about this, I. I'm not trying to be like. Like a pick me. Like, yes, you do. I. When I tell y'.
Kale Lowry
All.
Betsy
And I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I was an unremarkable child. I had no personality as a child. I was a follower. I was hanging out with whoever would hang out with me. Like, I was an unremarkable. I didn't have a personality growing up. I just didn't have one. And so when I see Valley and she's so sassy and animated about everything, it's so funny and, like, it's so crazy, because I love my boys, I love my daughter, but I do love them very different. Equally. Very equally, but different.
Kale Lowry
Yeah.
Betsy
Valley's personality, and I don't know if it's a boy versus girl thing, because I was telling Lindsay Elliot's personality at this age was very reserved and shy. Like, he was cute and funny, but he also was, like, reserved. Lincoln was animated. Lux was animated as Creed has always been spicy. He's funny, but he's spicy. And so seeing. And, like, Rio is hot or cold, you never know what you're gonna get with him. And then Valley is. I mean, versus Elijah through and through, just very. I will say he is becoming significantly more animated now, which I don't think Elijah had and doesn't have. Now, Valley is so sassy and I don't know. And I love it. And she's like, I'm a crazy girl. She'll say, I'm a crazy girl.
Kale Lowry
And I'm like, I love when little kids talk like that.
Betsy
I love it. It's so fun. And she's like, naked booty girl.
Kale Lowry
Wait, but, you know, some people, like. And I have never agreed with this, and this might be a hot take, but, like, correcting your kids in the way they say, say something wrong. I never corrected Jackson.
Betsy
Me do it like he still says,
Kale Lowry
mom, can you put some Simon rolls in? Yes. And he's 13. And I'm like, I'm never correcting you. I don't care.
Betsy
I'll never correct it. Correct it. They will grow out of it at some point. I will never correct it ever. Or Valley's thing. Esme.
Kale Lowry
I just love that they can speak Spanish.
Betsy
Verse is, he went from man man, which is Spider man, to Spider Man.
Kale Lowry
Spider Man.
Betsy
But Val do it.
Kale Lowry
What? How? How is Spider Man?
Betsy
But Val. Val Spanglish. I want a salid. I want a salid. That means I want to get out. Saler's Exit.
Kale Lowry
I thought it meant salad, like salala and sal.
Betsy
But she'll say, I want a sal, bless her heart. Pop up Saf way.
Kale Lowry
Safe way.
Betsy
He left. That is the cutest pop up Saf way.
Kale Lowry
Do you want me to tell you what's not cute, though? I've got a story to tell y'.
Betsy
All. What?
Kale Lowry
So the other morning, I was going to be a good friend and drop breakfast off to my friend's girls. So I go and have all the bags, get out of my Bronco.
Betsy
Not getting out of my car. Getting out of my Bronco.
Kale Lowry
Getting out of my Bronco. And car is fully in park. Car is off.
Betsy
I'm glad you put your car in park. Sometimes I get out and I haven't parked it, and then it parks for me like it's automatic. Is that an ADHD thing? Okay.
Kale Lowry
Anyways, I'm not sure what that is, but that's terrifying.
Betsy
It'll park itself when I do that.
Kale Lowry
Well, okay, so I've got a little bit of beef with Bronco right now because I feel like it's just. I have loved the car and I've loved the moment, but the moment's over for me after what transpired. So, car fully off and park. I turn around. The car is rolling on a hill. On a hill. Rolling down a hill. Oh, yeah. It hits my friend's husband's mother's car. Okay. And I'm, like, chasing the Bronco down. Like, it's.
Betsy
You only see that in movies.
Kale Lowry
I know. And I'm just chasing this Bronco. Okay? I get the door open, and I'm, like, trying to push on the brake with my hand. It will not break. So I'm like, what the. So it just slams into the back of the car. I said, oh, this is what Monday looks like.
Betsy
Okay. But serious question, how does that work? For insurance, if the nobody was in the car, who's at fault?
Kale Lowry
Well, because my car hit that car, technically I am at fault.
Betsy
But is that not like a car problem though?
Kale Lowry
Yeah, so that's what I was getting to. So this week my friends in a group chat send me a text where? Hold on, I'm going to read it to you guys. Ford recalls 4,922 Broncos after previous repairs could cause rollaway risk. So this article comes out like two days after that happens to my car. Well, about six months ago, I started hearing like this ticking noise inside the car, but it was like from under the hood. So make an appointment at Bronco or at Ford. Take it there. They have it for two weeks. They had to rebuild the whole underneath of the car.
Betsy
Was that covered or did you have to pay for that?
Kale Lowry
It was like under because warranty.
Betsy
Okay.
Kale Lowry
So they fixed the whole thing. I think it's fine. And now they're saying because of those types of repairs, that's what's causing these cars to roll away. So now State Farm calls me and they're like, can you just like tell us what happened? They had to send it to like a specialist. And I'm like, yeah, this is what happened. And now there's this like recall on the rollaway risk. They're like, well, we're going to have to get Ford involved because technically that is a mechanical failure on the car. So Ford would be responsible for paying for the other person's damages. But I feel bad because I'm like, my car hit her car. And until State Farm and Ford figure it out, nobody is getting repairs on anything.
Betsy
Because you would come in theory technically not at fault for you could pay for her repairs. But then it's like when. And are you ever going to get that money back?
Kale Lowry
No. And then it's going to ding my insurance as I was an at fault drive like driver driver technically, but I wasn't driving and the car was just rolling away. Like this was literally something that you would see on a movie.
Betsy

Thank you to our presenting sponsor, Better Help. I think one of the hardest parts about motherhood is that there's never really an off switch. Even when the house is finally quiet, your brain is still going. You're thinking about your kids, your marriage, work, whether you're doing enough, whether everybody's okay. It's constant and I think so many moms are carrying around this invisible mental load that nobody really sees. There's also this pressure to always be grateful and happy all the time because you love your family so much. But loving motherhood and still feeling overwhelmed sometimes can both be true at the same time. Betsy
that would be unfortunately a hill that I would be willing to die on. No, Ford is responsible for this. And she's lucky that or she, Ford is lucky that nobody else was in those cars because that could have been a child. What if a child was behind the car?
Kale Lowry
Also if, and I keep saying this
Betsy
cuz did it roll like backwards or
Kale Lowry
forward, Forwards, like down the hill? So I try at this point in my life, I try to find like the silver linings of whatever because I will go crazy. I am so glad that his mother's car was there because if it wasn't, it would have gone into that Bronco, would have gone into a house. It could have hit a child. It, I mean it could have been bad. Imagine somebody like walking their kids down the road and you've just got a roll away Bronco.
Betsy
Well that's crazy that you say that because I, ever since I read this book the river is Waiting where a child was run over. I have I ever since I read it last year, I put children at play signs in my driveway. I know you haven't been in my house, but my driveway is pretty long. And delivery drivers, doordash drivers, people that come visit. You can't see toddlers over the hood of your car. But I say all that to say like if that were to happen in a driveway like mine where my kids are running up and down the driveway when we were going to the airport to come here, the toddler, like all three kids were outside at Elijah's house. They saw our car and ran to Elijah's. They're running up and down that driveway all day. Like I could not imagine a car rolling over them and no one's in it.
Kale Lowry
But could you imagine if my car rolled away like that and it killed somebody?
Betsy
That's what I'm saying. And then what?
Kale Lowry
Then what?
Ad Read Announcer
Who?
Kale Lowry
And I mean that's a life.
Betsy
Listen, I, I'm going to be honest. I feel like I would boycott Ford at that point. I feel like that's what is Ford stand for? Found on road dead? My Suburban when I had gotten my Denali, they're all gmc, but there was a, like, I guess like a recall similar to that on my Suburban. I think it was like between 104 and 100 and 700, like 107,000 miles. My suburban hit that, and I've had. That was my fifth one because I've had Tahoes and Suburbans. I've loved them. Never had an issue. Always traded them in after like two, three years, get a new one. This fifth one I had for three years. It got to 107,000 miles. I traded it in on a Wednesday. The transmission blew on. On that Thursday. And that was in the same one that had the recalls for. At that of mileage, the transmission would go. So the same thing happened. I'm not. I. The dealer that sold me the Denali, since they're all gmc, he text me and was like, hey, are you ready to trade in? I said, I'm not getting another one.
Kale Lowry
But also, here's the other problem. When something like that happens and it's like a mechanical issue, it truly is Ford's fault. Now it's going to hit my car on Kelly Blue Book. So then they owe me what I'm gonna lose.
Betsy
And you keep your cars in pristine condition.
Kale Lowry
Pristine condition.
Betsy
Take a hit on. Was the damage significant?
Kale Lowry
No, it's really not significant.
Betsy
But that's not the point. But it's still a ding on Kelly Blue Book.
Kale Lowry
Yes. And so now they're gonna.
Betsy
For the difference.
Kale Lowry
The difference. Will they for it? I have no idea. I don't know what they're gonna do. So now I'm like, okay, well, my Lexus is a lease, and that's up in September. I now want to sell the Bronco. I think I'm just gonna get a TAHOE, like a Z71. We're gonna ride dirty. I want, like, the green one. Matte.
Betsy
I loved. I've had five. The only reason why I got this one was because it was what was available. I've loved them. I'm not going to get another one because I don't think when I re. When I get a new vehicle, I won't need a vehicle this big. I'm going to downsize slightly, but, yeah, you'll love a Tahoe.
Kale Lowry
So I think that's what.
Betsy
Or Yukon. Either one. They're the same.
Kale Lowry
I think that's what I'm gonna do. So that's just like my little car update. I have A parenting update. And I need everyone to weigh in on this so our schools get out, like, close to the end of May.
Betsy
Okay?
Kale Lowry
And Jackson got two emails home from school on Friday where he thought it was a good idea that he was going to go to the bathroom five times between the hours of 9am and 11am so if you've got a like that, you need to come home. That's number one. Number two, working on a project in social studies. And he's like, I'll just do my project at home. I don't want to do it here. Okay. Number one, that's not an option. Second thing, you're like, we don't have
Betsy
time for a project.
Kale Lowry
Then the next email I get is, he has too many points off, so he's going to have to serve after school detention for behavior points off on Thursday of this coming week. So I'm like, okay, you really decided to go to school and really show your ass. And now I am so irritated.
Betsy
Your ass.
Kale Lowry
And I said, I told him, and I have been telling him. I said, if I continue to get emails from your teacher and it interrupts my work day, I'm gonna interrupt your whole life. This is not funny. And I you funny to me. But also, you have. You feel like you need to respond to them because you don't want a teacher to think that you're, like, negligent. But it's like, yes, I read it and I'm processing, and I need about three business days to respond to this because now I'm pissed off.
Betsy
Can I play devil's advocate really quick? Or maybe it's not devil's advocate. Can I, like, complain about this for one second? I do feel like sometimes the schools are overly communicative where I don't need to know. Like, I do not give a fudge if you have reprimanded my son for going to the bathroom five times in two hours. Do not call me about that.
Kale Lowry
Send him to the nurse. Honestly, have the nurse call me.
Betsy
Yes. And make sure he's okay. And it's not like a bowel problem. But, like, also, do not call me for that.
Kale Lowry
I'm just like, if he got the points off and that was punishment, that was the punishment.
Betsy
Send me a note home. I don't need you to interrupt my work day.
Kale Lowry
Okay, so now I'm going to read you the text that I got from Will Campbell because he's. He's not with the shits. His mom was a teacher for 30 years. He's like, he's. He's not going to school doing this. So Will text me and he says, a screen, A screenshot of the email as if I didn't get it because I was a recipient on it. As he could see. I would pray that this is rectified with no jump park, no phone and chores. Detention is not his punishment, Lindsay. It's his consequence. I said, will, I've been working all day. I've just replied to the emails and I'm going to Pilates at 5, so can you pick him up? He goes, why did you not respond to me? I said, whatever, I'm coming to get him. First of all, first of all, it's my parenting time, so I don't need you reprimanding him on my parenting time. Thank you very much. Thank you for also sending me the email that I already got. Appreciate that. Also, don't tell me what punishments are going to go on in my house because that's why we're divorced. So you do the punishments that you want to do at your house. We've already established this. Okay, well, then after he sends me this, we get another email all in one day. Another email.
Betsy
Different class.
Kale Lowry
Different class.
Betsy
Same teacher. Different teacher.
Kale Lowry
Different teacher.
Betsy
Okay.
Kale Lowry
The email said that Jackson was videoing the teacher. So she takes him out into the hallway and ask him why he's videoing her. And he said, well, why were you videoing me?
Betsy
Valid. Why was she videoing him?
Kale Lowry
Because I guess he was on his iPad when he wasn't supposed to be. Like, it wasn't like a tech. They're allowed to have like their iPads or a laptop that's not school issued at the school if they're using it for schoolwork and if they are approved to be on an electronic device. He was not approved to be on an electronic device. And he was taking pools of an entire shareable bag of Sour Patch watermelons sticking around in his backpack, taking pools of Sour Patch watermelons playing on his iPad. So I guess she took a picture of him doing this. So he said, if you're gonna take a picture of me, I'm taking a picture of you. So then he got an administrative write up.
Betsy
Okay, but time out. I do not give a. If my child is throwing a. You're not videoing my kid. Do not video my kid. Call me. Pull him out of the class. Why are you videoing my kid?
Kale Lowry
Also videoing my kid on your personal cell phone.
Betsy
No, that's what I'm saying. That's so inappropriate. Like a kid is a kid. Is a kid. I don't care if they have behavioral issues. They don't have behavioral issues. They have adhd. They don't have the adhd. Do not video my kid. You are a teacher. There is a boundary. There is other protocol that you can do to handle that situation. If I find out one of the teachers is videoing my kid or I'm suing everybody.
Kale Lowry
Well, I will tell you that he. Jackson, was sent to the office and.
Betsy
Okay, then why did you need to video him?
Kale Lowry
Whole side of the thing. But in other, he is severely adhd.
Betsy
Okay.
Kale Lowry
Also, Will Campbell sent him to school without his medicine on this specific day that all of this went down. So I told Will, I said, you're the problem. You are literally the problem. He's like, why is he calling me from the school saying that I didn't give him his. Because you didn't. Because you didn't. And he's letting you know he's about to show his ass up at that school today.
Betsy
I don't care what Jackson did. That teacher should not have recorded him, period.
Kale Lowry
Will says next text message. This was yesterday. Lindsay, I hope he has had major punishments this weekend. And I hope his phone has been taken. Taken and also disconnected. I said, will, he has been reprimanded. So no phone. I said, nope, he has it. His Friday was not his favorite day, I can assure you. He said, detail it. I said, talk to him multiple times. Ignored him, which he hates. Made him go to bed, which he hates. Made him play outside alone for hours. Woke up yesterday, a new person. Need anything else?
Betsy
Need anything else? I mean, the good thing is that you guys are communicating about it. So whether your parenting styles are different or not, you guys are communicating about it. Like you said, he cannot make punishments at your house. You can't make punishments at his. He was reprimanded, and that is what it is. Let it be known in the future for Will, don't forget his medicine. Also, I don't know if this is an option for Jackson's school, but our school offered to keep some of the medicine for Lux at the nurse's office. In case we forget. Yeah, to give medicine at home, but
Kale Lowry
why are we forgetting with one kid?
Betsy
Life. Lifes.
Kale Lowry
First thing I do when I come downstairs after I brush my teeth, take a piss, and wash my face is get his medicine and his vitamins out. You have one job.
Betsy
I have forgotten to give Lux his meds before, so I can't really speak on that.
Kale Lowry
Did you get emails like that?
Betsy
No. Lux has a different presentation. So he'll stare. He'll, like, like stare and not absorb anything. So he's like the opposite.
Kale Lowry
Like, he's zoned out.
Betsy
Yeah, like he'll. And he tries so hard, but it's just not like the math isn't mathing. to the bathroom five times between nine and eleven.
Betsy
It could be worse.
Kale Lowry
But what are we doing in the bathroom around? We sure are.
Betsy
Need anything else?
Kale Lowry
I said, jackson, did you pee any of those times when you went in there? I said because we can literally drive from Atlanta to Orlando and you won't ever get out of the car to go to the bathroom. So please explain to me how you needed to go to the bathroom five times between those hours. Worse. I didn't.
Betsy
At least he's honest.
Kale Lowry
He was completely honest. He was completely honest about the whole thing. And I'm like how do you. And I don't, I don't like the word punishment as a parent.
Betsy
No, it's like consequences. Like yeah, consequent they're consequences.
Kale Lowry
But isn't the consequence him having to do detention and getting an administrative write up?
Betsy
I'm not a fan of multiple punishments for the same behavior and I have a hard time with that. So if you are getting detention, it's hard too because I also think it depends on the kid. It depends on the circumstance. The circumstance. It depends on so many things. But like I'm not a fan of like okay, if you do this, this is your punishment. I'm not gonna then pile on all these other things because of that.
Kale Lowry
See I, I completely agree with you there. It's like okay, you did what you did at school. Now we are going to have a conversation about it and we're going to figure out where you lost your mind
Betsy
you never had.
Kale Lowry
We're going to have that conversation when you get home. But also you're not going to get punished at home for something that you did at school. When you're receiving the punishment at school.
Betsy
We've talked about this in depth years ago, and I'm with you on that. I really am. Like, unless it's something that has affected your entire life, like, you did something illegal or. I don't know. But, like, if you did something at school, you get punished at school. How about conversation at home and be done with it?
Kale Lowry
I have a feeling he was just taking pulls out of those Sour Patch Kids and putting them in his pocket and going eat in the bathroom is
Betsy
what I think was going on.
Kale Lowry
Patch kids from the pantry, that he put the entire shareable bag in his backpack, and we didn't take medicine, so now we're sugar high. We're on a sugar high as well.
Betsy
It's the end of the school year. I'm gonna be honest. After spring break, nobody gives a. I
Kale Lowry
wish that we could call school after spring break because I feel so bad for the teachers and the kids.
Betsy
I do feel bad for the teachers that have to deal because, like, everybody's antsy. The weather gets nice. You want to go home. You don't want to be here. I do feel bad for the teachers. Like, what I'm saying about all of this has nothing to do with the teachers. Obviously, the teachers have their hands full. But don't call me about. Don't call me about that stuff. Don't.
Kale Lowry
You're like, actually, if a teacher's listening to this and, you know, either of us, please don't call us about it, because just. Just fix it at school.
Betsy
Send me an email, and call it a day. Not everything needs a phone call.
Kale Lowry
Well, they also call from, like, no caller id. So, like, all the other stuff that I'm going through, I'm like, that could be somebody else calling from no caller id So I never answer the phone.
Betsy
I started saving the school's numbers as what they are because I couldn't. I don't know.
Kale Lowry
They block their numbers and call me from their personal cell phone.
Betsy
No, that's not appropriate either.
Kale Lowry
And I'm like, why are we calling from no caller id as if I'm answering that.
Betsy
No, that would irritate. I get anxiety about that because I never know what the. Is going on in my life.
Kale Lowry
I have major anxiety about that.
Betsy
I hate it. It's like, what? What. What else is gonna go on? What else?
Kale Lowry
What else could go on? I'm gonna rage bait you. Oh, God.
Betsy
Okay.
Kale Lowry
Unexpected.
Betsy
Unexpected. Oh, I can't wait to talk about this. So I got a text. I got a text about the custody order. That or the. What are they called? Like, petitions. For unexpected people. And there apparently is speculation about Hunter not being the father.
Kale Lowry
We got. You sent that in our private group chat.
Betsy
That baby looks just like the other kid.
Kale Lowry
Yes.
Betsy
What I think is happening is. And I could be very far off, but this is my conspiracy theory. Is that Fallon? Is it Fallon or Phelan?
Kale Lowry
Fallon.
Betsy
I think Fallon is Bella's mom. I think that she is condoning and encouraging the sex so that Bella gets pregnant again. Because. Because I believe this is my personal opinion, that that baby does not belong to Hunter. But she wants Hunter to be connected to them, so she wants Bella to get pregnant a second time so that it. He's tied to her either way. The craziest thing that I saw was when this creator, lb. Do you know who she is? I had her on Barely Famous. She posted all of the tweets from Fallon to Justin Bieber. Did you see that?
Kale Lowry
What?
Betsy
Lindsay, I'm gonna send them to you, and you're gonna. Your pants. I was shook. I have never in my life seen, so. But this is a grown woman. You're gonna be like, what the hell? And then Fallon tweeted me and Javi.
Kale Lowry
Wait, what?
Betsy
Yes.
Kale Lowry
Wait, Twitter's still a thing?
Betsy
Yes. Well, it's X now. But hold on. When you see this, you're gonna be like, no way.
Kale Lowry
Wait, like, recently, she did this?
Betsy
No, it's just, like, over the years, like, she's always wanted to get on tv.
Kale Lowry
She's always wanted to do this to you and Javi.
Betsy
Hold on, Let me look at the year. Because someone sent it to me, and I was like, what in the world, y'?
Kale Lowry
All? This is insane. Her tweets say, I was just really wanting a response to show my daughter when I print it off, blow it up and stick it on her wall for Christmas. Then she says, fixing to watch mistletoe. So excited. Then she says, follow me for my daughters. Follow me for my daughters, please. Then she says, I need you. It's been a horrible week. Can you be there for me? Are you insane?
Betsy
No, it's. There's hundreds of them. She's tweeting Justin Bieber, who was, what, 15 years old at the time?
Kale Lowry
Y', all, we're gonna. We'll share this post when this episode goes live. But, like, there are literally no lie. Hundreds of tweets. Like, this is a stalker, Kale.
Betsy
And then there's. I can't find the DM where someone sent me the one of Javi. She tweeted me and Javi, so she knows who we are. And it was back when I'm assuming when Javi and I were married.
Kale Lowry
Like actively on Teen mom.
Betsy
Because actively on Teen mom.
Kale Lowry
And we had said before that I believe or. Or we both believe that she wanted to be on tv.
Betsy
This is actually really concerning. But the. That baby looks just like Bella's ex. Did you see it? Alessandra and all the tweets. It kind of is just like she's obsessed with Hunter. And then I guess Hunter want. Well, in the petition that Hunter's parent dad is fighting for custody, they're. They're outlining that the text between Fallon and Hunter are inappropriate. That there's no structure that the influence here is detrimental to Hunter's well being. Being the encouragement for inappropriate behavior is detrimental to his well being. Basically.
Kale Lowry
Like I think as a viewer we can all say that.
Betsy
Hold on, I'm gonna send. I'm gonna read you some of the stuff from the. I don't know where this even came from. Somebody got the information. But it says that upon further belief, Hunter's grades have declined and a school performance has been come. Has become increasingly problematic. The first defendant has attempted to enforce reasonable household rules, structure discipline and educational expectations for the minor child. However, the second defendant routinely undermines those efforts and the. The third parties to undermine those as well.
Kale Lowry
My question is why can the dad not get a restraining order against Fallon? Why can't he just get a restraining order?
Betsy
I think he has emergency custody right now. And it says that. That basically Fallon has allowed the minor child unrestricted freedom. Or I guess I don't know if it's Fallon or Hunter's mom has allowed the minor child unrestricted freedom. A lack of supervision and conduct that is inappropriate for a minor child. Said conduct is harmful. Harmful to the minor child. Undermines the parent child relationship, publicly exploits the child and ongoing litigation and further encourages disrespect towards the first defendant and this court's authority encourage the minor child to make a video during her parenting time that was released on Tick Tock, which is the video. I think think they're just. They're talking about the video that Hunter made against his dad. Yes, about all of this. But I am blown away by this.
Kale Lowry
That child looks exactly like the ex boyfriend. But Alessandro was saying that in an I guess deleted scene that came out from the show that she, Fallon gets plan B for Bella every single month as a form of birth control. Why?
Betsy
What is that doing? What. What is. I don't. When do they want her to get pregnant? This is. This is asking to be pregnant and to be able to blame something. Oh, I was on. I was taking plan B and to
Kale Lowry
secure another storyline for the show, which
Betsy
is TLC doesn't like. TLC needs to get it together because if they don't just get canceled as a whole after this. Like what?
Kale Lowry
What? That is abuse. I don't care what anybody says. That is a form of abuse.
Betsy
It's like grooming or something. I don't even know what that. What do you even call that?
Kale Lowry
I would call it grooming but like
Betsy
Fallon wanted to be on TV so bad she wanted to be recognized. Like tweeting Justin Bieber tweeting me and Javi. I'm sure that's not the end of it. She's probably tweeted so many other people.
Kale Lowry
Well, did you see that she was arrested recently?
Betsy
I did, but I didn't know what that was about.
Kale Lowry
That was about her. Allegedly. She when this whole thing went down with Hunter, that they went to Hunter's dad's house and pulled up while he was at work and she had what, Hunter's mom with her, her husband. There were multiple people that pulled up on this stepmom while the dad was at work and she ended up getting arrested.

I just can't imagine in a situation where there is a custody dispute. Fallon is the grandmother of their child, right? Why is she involving herself in a custody dispute for a child that's not hers?
Betsy
She has a weird thing with Hunter. There's no other explanation to me because also you being that obsessed with Justin Bieber as a teenager. It's tracking. It's all coming together. It's just like I'm sorry I My son loves Olivia Rodrigo and Post Malone. I'm not doing that. I remember tweeting Britney Spears when I was 18 years old and I was like wanting her to follow me on Twitter when I was was 18 years old.
Kale Lowry
But like what's follow going to do?
Betsy
She's. She's had two children and she's acting like that.
Kale Lowry
It's crazy. It's literally batshit crazy and she needs to have a mental health evaluation to even be around the grandchild.
Betsy
It surprises me that, because when we did Teen Mom, I don't know how it was with Chris Le Knows Best. We did extensive.
Kale Lowry
Yeah, you had to go do psychological evaluations. And that's why I'm like, I cannot get behind any of these TLC shows because look at all of the dysfunction that comes out of that. And then they're literally airing like. I don't know if it aired on the actual show or if it was like just a tik tock clip or whatever it was, but did you see that tik tok clip of them talking about butt stuff?
Betsy
What?
Kale Lowry
Yeah, they were talking about butt stuff. And I'm like, why are we airing this stuff? If the whole intent is to show a behind the scenes view of these kids having children, why are we encouraging the behavior? Yeah, they're in a situation. Right. Why are we encouraging worse behavior than what's already happened?
Betsy
I thought the show was called Unexpected. It is not planned, correct?
Kale Lowry
Correct.
Betsy
If it was called planned, what is that, though? Like, why is that so much more frequent than has ever been before? Right. Like with these. These grown women seeking out.
Kale Lowry
I always blame everything on social media.
Betsy
Male validation, though. Like, we're talking because Becky told me about Noah Beck's sister, which I didn't know who that was.
Kale Lowry
I don't know who that is.
Betsy
So Noah Beck is like a famous tick tocker and his, like, I think he was in the hype house and his sister is a teacher and had had sexual relationships with. No, he had sexual relationships with two teachers. So two teachers in the same school were having a sexual relationship with this teenage boy. And then we have Fallon, and then we have the. The mom from the Netflix documentary who was like, I think also obsessed with the sun. What is with grown women trying to get teenage male validation? What is that? Why is that happening? Because full transparency, it doesn't surprise me when a man does it to a teenage girl. It's disgusting. But it doesn't surprise me because they're men. But for a woman to do it, what is wrong with you men?
Kale Lowry
We're saying that because we're women. I feel like it's just as weird for a man to be doing it, but unfortunately, I feel like it's probably. I don't at this point, I don't even know if it's fair to say it's more common for men to do it because we see all this stuff all over the news of teachers getting with students. And I mean, it is wild.
Betsy
It's equally disturbing. But I just. You hear about it more with a man to a teenage girl. I don't understand the way I. I don't understand either one of. Either of it. Everyone knew in the Noabex what even the girlfriend knew. The. The teenage boy's girlfriend knew and thought it was weird. But I guess the teacher was giving them her credit card and going, saying, oh, you can go get food on my credit card. So they would leave for lunch and would be like, don't have her bring me my food. You bring me my food. But would pay for her food too. Like. And the mom of the teenage boy knew that he was the teacher, but didn't do anything about it.
Kale Lowry
That is. Is full blown predatory behavior.
Betsy
Yes.
Kale Lowry
And then giving them money to incentivize almost. I guess Apple cash for compliments is insane.
Betsy
But what is the mental illness.
Kale Lowry
Yeah.
Betsy
And why is there a surge in this? Like, why is. I. I hear, I guess social media. But like, why social media? Like, why would social media encourage this behavior?
Kale Lowry
Because I was having a conversation with somebody the other day and I'm like, like, look back at what we looked like when we were in high school
Betsy
shorts till I was 13. Like cargos girl like jorts was a Jortsan back in the early 2000s. Yeah.
Kale Lowry
You know, like we were rolling around in Umbros.
Betsy
We were wheelies. We were Heelys. Heelys.
Kale Lowry
Not. We were not what girls look like in high school today. Boys are not what boy. Boys were not what boys look like in high school. School today. It is something with society, with social media, with. I mean, there are girls that live around here that are in high school that their parents are paying for. Botox lip injections. Yes. Botox lip injections, hair extensions.
Betsy
But what about the women with the teenage boys? I can't. I. I don't. I'm not able to wrap even Bella with Hunter with Bella being 15 and Hunter being 12 or 14 and 12, whatever that was. Even. That's weird to me.
Kale Lowry
It's. It's also weird to me. But I think what we figured out after we recorded the last episode that we talked about this was that they were only like one grade difference in school.
Betsy
Yeah. But their ages correct.
Kale Lowry
Yeah.
Betsy
So one age difference. It's still nothing would be. I'm thinking back to when I started having sex. I was having sex with someone that was my same age. Like, I would never have looked below.
Kale Lowry
Never. Like never.
Betsy
Never.
Kale Lowry
I could never think about. I mean, I have younger siblings and I'm like, I couldn't.
Betsy
Like, I played With Barbies till I was 13.
Kale Lowry
Oh, I played with Barbies way too long. I was playing house. I had, you know, all the couches. And to the point where when Barbie and Ken are in a full blown relationship and we're having children, I needed
Betsy
to stop playing with Barbies 1000% same. I just, I don't, I don't. There's something. It's a. I'm not saying it's okay. I just want to reiterate because, you know, people will listen to this and take it and run. I'm not saying it's okay for older men with teenage girls, but what I am saying is that it's equally disturbing for an older woman to a teenage boy. And that's even weirder because women are like, what are you doing?
Kale Lowry
But it's also weird to me. And I know we're talking about 14 and a. Or a 15 year old and a what? 13 year old? Right. Okay, I get that. But then I also look back on my last relationship and I'm like, what business did I have being in that with 16 years of a gap?
Betsy
See, I don't think that's weird. Like, because you were both adults and because you both had one child divorce, like there was a lot of commonalities there. So for me, I don't. That to me is not super weird. Now obviously, if you were 16 and he was 16 years older, I was
Kale Lowry
being born and he was graduating from
Betsy
high school, but he wasn't attracted to you then. Do you know what I mean? Like it. Do you know what I mean?
Kale Lowry
I mean, I get it. But at the same time I'm just
Betsy
like, if you're consistently going after someone that much younger than you, I would say it's weird. Elijah is an anomaly for me. I would not ever date someone, but
Kale Lowry
the relationship I was in, that person consistently dated younger, significantly younger women.
Betsy
The Noah Beck sister, such. I don't know her name. I can't remember her name. That, that student that she had a relationship with also had a relationship with another teacher in the same school. And he was a dick to her. Like he was so rude to her kid, an athlete.
Kale Lowry
Like, what was.
Betsy
What's your background? He played football. He had a girlfriend, very pretty. She made a tick tock about it, talking about the experience and how like,
Kale Lowry
like, but how traumatizing.
Betsy
She said it wasn't her place. She said she didn't tell because she didn't think it was her place. Which. Okay. And I told Becky this because we talked about it. Obviously I Saw the tik tok after we spoke about it on karma and chaos. And I said to her, I texted Becky and I said, I'm a little conflicted here because obviously the one in the wrong is the teacher. Right? Like Noah Beck sister is no doubt hands down in the wrong. But I do feel like everyone who knew about it that didn't report it also has some level of responsibility and fault. But aren't the kids too though? I feel like the kids do too because I asked.
Kale Lowry
But how many other teachers knew about it that are also mandated reporters?
Betsy
All of them and the principal and the parents. Haley. That's right. Because I. So I asked, I had this sparked a conversation in my household and I said to Lincoln and I said to Elliot, like if one of your friends was having an inappropriate or what you felt like would be inappropriate relationship with their teacher, would you tell somebody? And they both said yes. Now do I know that for a fact? No. I can only take their word for it. But I really hope that they would tell somebody. Now if something is done about it, we don't know. We can't. We can only go to authorities and then hope for the best. But at the end of the day, the amount of people that knew about the Haley Beck situation and didn't do anything about it, same for Bella and Hunter. The amount of people that knew that that was going on and they were having sex and nobody thought to tell authorities, like hey, this is a grooming situation.
Kale Lowry
Why was that never reported to like Department of Social Services or Child Protective Services? Like why has there not been any type of investigation on something like that? And that Noah Beck situation. All teachers are mandated reporters. So what does that look like? But was that because I don't know about this situation. Was it emotional thing or it was physical as well.
Betsy
They had sex.
Kale Lowry
Wow. Where. Where do kids have sex? Like with a teacher.
Betsy
He went to her apartment.
Kale Lowry
He also her apartment, went to her parents house with her.
Betsy
And she was paying for them to like students to like eat and stuff, giving them their her debit card to like go get food off campus. And the girlfriend of the student said that like they had a campus where they weren't supposed to leave for lunch, but the teach Haley Beck would give them the card and let them leave for lunch even though that wasn't even allowed loud. We know Lindsay does love a good wine at the end of the day and I never really know what to buy. And Lindsay told me about First Leaf because they deliver premium wine straight to your door every single month. And all I had to do was fill out a quick quiz about my preferences and I literally got it delivered straight to my door. And there was, I think it was like nine bottles.
Kale Lowry
I love First Leaf so much and I love to just have those bottles of wine at home whenever I'm entertaining on my porch. For those of you who have not heard of First Leaf, every box comes with easy to follow tasting notes and pairing suggestions right on the box. So it makes it so easy. Betsy
Stop settling for wines that don't quite hit the mark. Head to try firstleaf.com Coffee to sign up and you'll get 50 off your first box plus free shipping for an entire year. That's T R Y F I R s l a f.com coffee try firstleaf.com coffee so it was like multiple things. It's not just the sexual rel it's like multiple red flags. There was an article that came out last year about my one of the because I went to two different high schools. The first high school that I went to that like something came out about him. But I've never had a close, like I had a close relationship with a teacher, but it was was never on that level. We never saw each other outside of school. I went to his classroom. He was more of like an advisor and I would ask him about like school stuff. But like never in my whole life have I ever had an inappropriate relationship with or even borderline inappropriate relationship with a teacher.
Kale Lowry
The only thing I can think back was I when I was in high school, so I would have been a junior and it was alleged that one teacher was doing things with girls and the class above me. And we never had any proof of that, but it was just kind of like the demeanor of the teacher, kind of like, oh, there probably is something going on. And I had classes, this specific class, I don't want to say too many details about it in case anybody's listening, but this specific class I had with a bunch of seniors when I was a junior and some of these girls never turned in work for that class ever and were passing the class with flying colors. So it's like what really was going on.
Betsy
Okay, let's take morals and ethics out of it. Right? What do you think as the teacher, as the adult, what do you think is going to happen here? You think you're not going to get caught? How do you trust that this student is not going to out you?
Kale Lowry
Yeah, the power dynamic is very, very valid. I think I would actually text you not too long ago and I, I sent you a screenshot of an arrest of somebody that is around here and was arrested on grooming charges. And I was able to pull up the arrest warrant and it was literally like various forms of communication via social media, via text message, via third party with a 16 year old minor. This man is in his 50s, a coach, a baseball coach for club, a baseball coach for rec, a basketball coach for rec. And I'm like, why is my head going? It doesn't matter if it was a boy or girl, but I'm like, I know these people. I would say fairly well. He's constantly around boys and I think they only have a, a male child. So I'm like where would he have been able to groom a female child? You know, like I'm, they just think
Betsy
it's never going to get out. They think that nobody's ever going to tell on them. They don't, they think they can keep it up and keep it a secret
Kale Lowry
for I think a lot of kids. And, and I actually talked to Jackson about this because I said, hey, like if you ever feel something is like off with a friend or a teacher or a coach or whatever, you need to go to someone. You don't have to come to me or dad, but like you need to go to someone and report that because that is absolutely terrifying. Like this man is all over our county doing all of these sports, whether it be like volunteer or a coach at a club, whatever it is, arrested for grooming a 16 year old child.
Betsy
It's almost like hidden in plain sight. Like if I do it beneath everybody's nose, I don't, I won't get caught
Kale Lowry
because I almost think it's that they
Betsy
can cover it up with, oh, I was just coaching them.
Kale Lowry
Or I was just the most unexpected people.
Betsy
Yeah.
Kale Lowry
Every single time.
Betsy
Haley Beck, you didn't think, with your brother being who he is, like, you never thought you were going to get caught. You never thought that this was going to come out. You never thought that if you didn't play your cards right that someone wouldn't out you, like, have you lost your mind? But that's also a mental illness. It is like Fallon, Haley Beck, this guy that you're talking about, like, all of it. That's a mental illness.
Kale Lowry
It certainly is.
Betsy
Oh, Alessandra is saying that there is a woman that is being very vocal about her pedophilia. She is attracted to young children 3 and 5 years old, and she's talking about it. She has claimed that she's never acted on it. You know, and there's, I guess, discourse online about whether or not pedophiles should be. Should be talking about it for research purposes and to, I don't know, for awareness, I guess. Or should we shun them? And you should never talk about it. No, I want to know who you are. And also we need to. If there is help or treatment, we should be able to do the research. But also it's like. Because what's the alternative to that is not knowing. And then they can't control their impulses and then they're doing it to children. It's not good either way. They're going to be shunned either way. So to me, you might as well talk about it and be shunned than to be found out about it later on.
Kale Lowry
And why aren't we talking about it to a professional and a therapeutic or a therapeutic setting or a doctor? Why are we on Tik Tok talking about it?
Betsy
I think that's that woman. Okay. And my opinion may change in the future, but right now I feel like if you're talking about it and you are acknowledging that you are a pedophile, you need to be institutionalized immediately because you are a threat to society. She has a baby son and she's applying to work at preschools. She needs to be institutionalized. I think if you're willing to admit and you know you have a problem, you have to be in a facility.
Kale Lowry
But do you think that people like that can be rehabbed at all? No, I don't think they can either. I think that's just to their core, who they are as a human being
Betsy
and the way they're Living that can't be fixed, right? Like, but you need people like that are a threat to society. So you have to be institutionalized. You need to be essentially in captivity.
Kale Lowry
But why would you go on tick tock openly talk about this and then be applying to preschools like that for a job?
Betsy
If, you know, if you're acknowledging that you are a pedophile, why are you applying to preschools?
Kale Lowry
And you have these impulses.
Betsy
So in this book, Saving Noah, this teenage boy, he has two parents and a little sister and he ultimately without this is, there's gonna be spoilers. So if you have not read Saving Noah and it's on your TBR, skip 15 minutes. Essentially he, he wants to commit suicide. He wants assisted suicide. He wants his mom to help him with suicide because he knows that he can never be rehabbed. He understands and he does not want to continue to perpetuate the cycle. He has touched little children and he wants to kill himself. And so his mom ultimately makes the hard decision of helping him commit suicide. Suicide.
Kale Lowry
Oh, wow. Now see, how do we feel about assisted suicide? Because in a situation like that, if somebody cannot be rehabbed, I think that, love the self awareness.
Betsy
I'm for it.
Kale Lowry
Love, love the fact that you just want to be taken out because you are a nuisance to society.
Betsy
You're a threat to society. So I'm for it.
Kale Lowry
I'm for it too.
Betsy
And I don't want to compare humans to dogs, but we put dogs, if they're inbred and they're aggressive, we put them down. If there is something so severely wrong with a person and they are asking because they cannot control and they are aware of it and they're willing and they're telling you, I want to kill myself. I feel like, why are we not respecting their wishes, wishes. But we'll put a dog down for. And I'm not trying to compare it human state. I'm just saying like the, the. What is the word I'm looking for? Humane.
Kale Lowry
I agree that it's humane.
Betsy
If there was something so wrong with me, like I just did my estate, my updated, my living will, my estate plan, my trust, all of the things. Not that I would be a threat if I'm incapacitated, but I'm not serving a purpose, I'm not here doing anything, please let me go. You know, if I'm in a state of mind where I am a threat to society, also let me go.
Kale Lowry
I agree with you. I, I wholeheartedly agree with that.
Betsy
That's going to be a Hot take. Some people are not going to agree with that, but. Well, if you're a pedophile and you're acknowledging that you're a pedophile, you need
Kale Lowry
to be euthanized, but also institutionalizing, what is the answer? Because you and I have had this conversation before about prisons and putting pedophiles in prisons. That's not the answer. But institutionalizing that. Institutionalizing them is also not the answer. Getting rid of them is.
Betsy
I also worry about pedophilia. Is that hereditary? So if one person, if a parent has it, has children, is that. Because that. To me, it would be a mental illness. The same way that depression, you can have a genetic predisposition to it or things like that. Could that be the same thing with pedophilia? So for me, it's like, okay, institutionalized in terms of. Okay, well, could they live a productive life? Institutionalized. Never around children, but they're. They're. They're working in a factory with other adults. Right? Like, so they're productive members of society, but never around children.
Kale Lowry
Okay, I could get. I could get behind that, I think.
Betsy
So they're with other pedophiles, so they're. But then you have to look at the quality of life, too, is like them living in a facility and doing work for a company or a. Or a factory or something like that. What quality of life is that if they can't go anywhere?
Kale Lowry
But I think people listening to this, like, like, I have looked into, like, sex offender registries and all kinds of stuff. I think people would be amazed if you actually looked in your area just where you live alone. How many people are on a sex offender registry? It's terrifying. Dated somebody one time and he rented. So went from like one house to another house, looked up the sex offender registry, and three houses down from him around the corner was a registered sex offender. Should they be allowed to live or rent homes, like in a rental neighborhood? Should they be allowed to rent?
Betsy
No, no, no.
Kale Lowry
But if we. If we institutionalize every person that was like a pedophile on a sex offender registry, there would not be enough space. So then what do you do?
Betsy
Well, if they're institutionalized, they would be like, in a facility.
Kale Lowry
I know, but I'm saying there wouldn't be enough space in facilities if the answer was, we're going to institutionalize all pedophiles or people on sex offender registries.
Betsy
Here's the thing, though. There's a difference between the sex. Because I have heard of people going on the sex offender registry that it was a situation where there was a two year age gap and he turned 18 before she did. And now you're on the. That's not fair. That's not fair. So I do think that there's a. I'm talking, like, true pedophilia. There was a state that recently just did. Pedophiles will now be executed by. Way of. What is the firearm one?
Kale Lowry
Firing squad.
Betsy
Firing squad. I forget what state it is. Tennessee, maybe. I just saw that too.
Kale Lowry
Yeah, I think it is. I think it's.
Betsy
They said that pedophiles will now be executed by firing squad. And I'm for it. I don't.
Kale Lowry
I am all for that too.
Betsy
I'm for it. And I. Who wouldn't? Like, is there one single person that would be against that? Oh, it's not humane. Okay, well, neither is pedophilia. So take. Take the gamble.
Kale Lowry
Okay. If you were in jail and you were on death row and you could be either. What's that. What's it called, like, where they give you the drug.
Betsy
Euthanized youth.
Kale Lowry
You could be euthanized or die by firing squad. Which would you choose? Juice. I'm getting. I'm gonna die by firing squad. You don't know what gun it's coming out of. There's every. There's only one gun that has the bullet. And every other gun, I feel like
Betsy
they would be the same. Like, the anticipation would be the same. No, I would be scared of convulsing.
Kale Lowry
Yeah.
Betsy
Through the euthanasia. Yeah. I would be scared of convulsive, like, feeling it and going through it. I would be scared of that. And if it takes a minute where, like, if you get shot in the head by firing squad. Squad. I would hope it's instantaneous.
Kale Lowry
Are they allowed to shoot you in the head? Like, where do they. Every other gun on the fire. So, like, firing squad lines up and somebody's dying by firing squad. They line up with the guns. Every gun but one gun has basically dummy bullets. And the. The people who are firing don't know who shot the person.
Betsy
I did not know that. Lindsay's the first person that ever told me about firing squad. I'm pretty sure I didn't know that firing squad was a thing. I think for the. For the sole purpose of the instantaneous, I'd have to go firing squad. So I'm just scared of. Also, I have a really high tolerance for medicine, so I'm talking like Xanax for my surgeries, my Aderall, anything. I have such a high Tolerance that I would be in fear that they would give me a dose that is not strong enough. Do you watch for firing squad? Do people watch that?
Kale Lowry
I don't know.
Betsy
I know lethal injection people watch. And I wouldn't imagine the same thing happened. And you're not dying from it right away. And somebody has to see that or, like, you're com. Because when I did my externship, not an internship, an externship for dental assisting, I did one with oral surgery where they were pulling wisdom teeth. And I had no idea until this moment that some people convulse when they are sedated for wisdom teeth extraction. And they. I was in the room where someone was convulsing, and they had to strap her down while she was. And I don't. I wouldn't want someone to see that. Like, if my kid. If I, like, was on death row and they did that to me. My kids had to see that. I wouldn't want that.
Kale Lowry
I've seen so many stories. Speaking of wisdom teeth, I've seen so many stories about people getting, like, fondled and diddled. Yeah, I've seen the anesthesia for wisdom.
Betsy
They're not pulling wisdom teeth like they used to anymore. If they're impacted, they're not pulling them anymore. Anymore.
Kale Lowry
What do they do?
Betsy
Leave them? Because they're not coming through the gums. It's only if they're coming through the gums that they're starting. Like, at least where I live, they said that if they're impacted and they're not causing pain and they're not erupted all the way, they are not extracting anymore.
Kale Lowry
Really?
Betsy
Because mine never came through. Like, they were sore. Two of them. Mine were sore. So they were like, we'll just pull all of them, but if they're not coming through the gums at all, you're not getting them removed.
Kale Lowry
I got my wisdom teeth out when I was a freshman in college, I think. Think. But Jackson, we actually just went to the orthodontist because I'm doing Invisalign. I made the decision on Invisalign instead of doing veneers.
Betsy
Fair.
Kale Lowry
I feel like it's just, like, the healthiest thing for my teeth. Plus, I don't really have bad teeth. They're just crooked on the bottom, so gonna. Gonna do that. He said, I'll be an Invisalign for a year. But he. Jackson had an appointment on the same day as me to just, like, check movement for his teeth and stuff. And when they did this scan, he already has his four wisdom teeth. He's 13.
Betsy
And he already has them.
Kale Lowry
He already has them. They haven't come through, but advise me to have them taken out by the time he's 15 before he goes back into a second set of braces.
Betsy
Do they project that? They're going to erupt, that's why. Yeah, but if they're impacted, they won't. Yeah, well, I don't know about here, but like I said, at home. Anyways.
Kale Lowry
Okay, so we just were dibber jabbering and almost ran out of time. So we're gonna do foul play. Hey, Kale and Lindsay. I've got a good foul play all. Sadly, my mom reminds me a lot of Kale's mom. Alcoholic, neglectful, selfish. All the things. Anyway, when I was in middle school, I remember. I remember her telling me we were moving to Ohio and we lived in Kansas at the time. We weren't taking anything with us but some clothes. She married a. She met a married couple online and said that they were her friends. Mind you, she never met them. Never heard her talk about them before. When we moved, I started noticing weird behavior. They all three shared the same bedroom room, the same bed. I would see them cuddling with each other. So finally I realized. Finally I realized they were all. Finally I realized they were all a thing.
Progressive/Dish/Pluto TV Sponsor Voice
Ooh.
Kale Lowry
I was so disgusted as a child and confused. I'm not sure what ended up happening, but something went down. They kicked me and my mother out of the house. We moved back to Kansas not long after this. She did the same thing. We moved about two hours away to live with another married couple. The husband was in the army, and we lived at Fort Riley. This time, my mother had become the. The favorite and the throuple. Me and the other kids involved in this were told to tell people that my mom was the nanny. Yeah, sure. That's believable. My husband. The husband and wife got into a huge fight. The wife ended up moving out and they got divorced. Not long after that, he married my mother and then got a dishonor. Dishonorable discharge from the army. This guy was a huge piece of. I can't even begin to tell you the things that I've seen. Crazy to think. Crazy to think about now and wonder how in the world parents can put their child through some like this. I looked at my own kids and I cannot fathom. I w. She would have just left me with my grandma and did this all on her own. I would have been better off.
Betsy
I always. Okay, so we know that in any twers. Relationship, whether you're married, you're straight, you're gay, bisexual, whatever. We know there's always a possibility of breaking up whether there's kids involved or not. Yes, fine. Fair, whatever. Not ideal, but it happens, right? When you add a third party and there's children involved and you know that there is no security in. In the situation. Like, like that what she's describing. She has no ties to these other people. And her, her mother put her in the position to could be kicked out also.
Kale Lowry
How dangerous is that to just be moving in with strangers and you know, I feel like a throuple. Not something that I would do, but I just feel like that's such a risky thing to just like move our kids hours away to be a part of a thruffle. And like, what is. And. And I don't know, like, to each their own. Raise your kids however you want to. I'm just saying how I'm raising mine. I wouldn't be comfortable just moving Jackson across state lines to go and be in a throuple and be sleeping in the same bed. Like that's so weird.
Betsy
Like to go from 0 to 100. Yeah, right. Like that.
Kale Lowry
That's like such an extreme.
Betsy
But also to have no security. You have no skin in the game, right? Like you are not that you don't own the house. You're gonna get. You could get kicked out. Like my whole thing is security, right? So like, because there's kids involved, I could not picture, like my mom did it to me. My whole life it was my mom and me moving in with somebody. It was never the other way around. And I feel like there's no security in that in and of itself. So already you're setting the bar in hell and now you're sleeping with these two other people in a room and you have no explanation for your kids kid. You've uprooted her. You have confused her. Like, I don't so much have a problem with the, with the throuple. Right? Like, that's not an issue for me because I'm.
Kale Lowry
I'm now thinking, talking about this out loud. It's like Aspen Ovard.
Betsy
I feel like more parent to love your child. Yes, but she also. She didn't come with kids, did she? Yeah, she did come with kids. Aspen has her own kids.
Kale Lowry
Aspen has three kids. Are you gonna watch Secret Lives of Mormon wives? The O.C.
Betsy
yeah.
Kale Lowry
Yes, I'm also going to watch it.
Betsy
So she went with the thrle and she has kids. I thought that the other. I thought the Couple had kids and she went.
Kale Lowry
Aspen has three kids with her ex husband Parker.
Betsy
Okay.
Kale Lowry
And now she's in the throuple.
Betsy
So she. Aspen posted something about like, her life and I get to k. I get to spend my life with my babies or something. I thought that that was. Was the married couple kids and that she was referring to them as her babies. I didn't know that they were her.
Kale Lowry
Those are actually her babies.
Betsy
I'm fine with a throuple. What I'm not fine with is a lack of security. And I. And that goes for all relationships, whether there's two or three.
Kale Lowry
But we're not judging somebody doing it. But it's how it's done, Correct?
Betsy
Correct. The same way for a regular relationship. Gay, straight, whatever. It's how it's done. And you know, I. I've gotten a lot of backlash for my situations, but I've known Ike since high school. He wasn't a stranger, and he can stand on his two feet. Feet. And he moved in with me. So if at any point it didn't work out, I'm not uprooting my children. If it didn't work out, he could leave.
Kale Lowry
But I'm so interested in like, because to me, like, hearing the word throuple just seems taboo in my world. But I'm not saying it is just in my world, I can't wait to watch that, like, unfold on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. OC Because Aspen has gone out on tick tock and said that, like, she's so excited to be able to like, like, just live authentically and like, share her story.
Betsy
I. I do love that for her. Like, I do. And I think from what I've seen on social media, like, they really do have like a little routine and a little cute. Listen.
Kale Lowry
I think they're the most precious couple.
Betsy
I think that when you do it the right. Any relationship, the right way, it can. It can blossom into something really cool. But when you do things like this one that wrote in for foul play, like, like that's disturbing.
Kale Lowry
Well, it's. It's dysfunctional.
Betsy
Yeah. And at the point that. Because also too, you have to think about it when you're raising kids in it from a young age, they don't know any different when you're all of a sudden just uprooting your. Your young child or teenage. And by young, I mean like tweens and then teens. And you're uprooting them and then throwing. Dropping them into the situation with no explanation.
Kale Lowry
But think about those ages. Think about those Ages. You are really just figuring yourself out as a human being in your teenage years, and those are such important times of life. To your point, if this is going on, they're two years old, and that's normal in their world. They don't know any different from that.
Betsy
Right, right. Like, my kids don't know any different from running up and down the driveway between me and Elijah. That's not normal for a lot of people.
Kale Lowry
Correct.
Betsy
Yeah, but they don't know any different. Right.
Kale Lowry
That is their norm.
Betsy
But if I was to do that when they're 15 and 16 years old, they might be like, what the is going on?
Kale Lowry
And why are we neighbors with D?
Betsy
My kids didn't know I dated Malik. My kids didn't know I dated Dom. They thought they were my friends.
Kale Lowry
Just your friends.
Betsy
Now we have open conversations about it because my kids are older.
Kale Lowry
Yeah.
Betsy
They don't really remember Dom as much. Elliot kind of does, but. And Elliot kind of remembers Malik, but not really. And, like, now I'll say, like, I dated them, but at the time, they had no idea. I used to make Malik sleep in the guest room. So you don't know what the dynamic is inside the house. And my kids never saw Dom sleepover, so they didn't.
Kale Lowry
They didn't know.
Betsy
No, they didn't know what it was. They just thought it was mom's friend. So in a lot of ways, I think it's just how you go about things. For sure, I agree which people will love or hate me saying it, but it is what it is. Speaking from experience, you're y'.
