Hey guys, and welcome back to Content is Profit. Today is a special episode that's really coming from my heart and I think it's because when I look back and look at the ways that maybe we've tackled monetizing content not only for our own show, but also for the community and the people that come here to the studio, it resonates so much because we were in that situation that maybe if you're listening today, you might be feeling a little confused, a little lost, maybe a little overwhelmed. And I understand how crazy and hectic the world can be and how many messages that you might be receiving from maybe other content creators, YouTube, Instagram, you know, when you type like, how do I actually monetize and get results from my content? It can be overwhelming. So. Well, first of all, I'm extremely grateful that you are listening to me today and you're part of this incredible Content Is Profit community. Even if you're not on Business Creator Club, even if you haven't interacted with us before, but the fact that you listen to this show, the fact that you found us, let me tell you, you are on the right path. So hopefully today will give you that like 1% or that little push or that little drop of water that the glass needs to overflow and trigger action on your side so you can move forward. So I'll tell you a little context, right? So obviously when people come to the studio, come to us to be like, hey, Louise, how do I actually monetize content? That's like the holy grail, right? We talk about the six levers of content which a combination of each, you know, every, for every single person is going to be different. You know, we have messaging, we have the creation aspect, we have the production aspect, we have distribution monetization, which is what most people really are looking for. And then at the end it's like, how do we actually manage this, the operation? So we would deal with this in business Creator and we answer questions and we kind of deep dive. But monetization is the number one question and that really answer it says it depends on your business and what you want to sell. So I'm going to do a shameless plug here. If you haven't gone to business, sorry. Bizbros co Monetize. We're currently running a one on one challenge. Fonse is leading it. We've been having calls all week with you guys, incredible stories and it's getting like pretty emotional, right? To the fact that what we want to trigger is that emotion to take action and those five days, we going to be working with you to get to the next step. You know, we've had some people that reached out, and they don't have a monetization system, for example. They might be a little lost on the production side. But what we need to know is, do you have a core offer? Do you have something that you're selling today? And if you're not, that's fine. Like, there's a different path also that we can recommend you and do that, but if you do and you feel a little awesome, the rest of the levers, like, how do I actually put this in place? You know, we can definitely help you. And we're running this for free. So we have a few spots left. We actually extended it. I know initially we said 10, then we said 7. We filled those out really quick. Some of the people that we've been having conversations with, we're not a fit for that. They were fit for something else that I'm going to announce today. So we do have a couple steps. I checked with Fonsi this morning, and he's like, yeah, dude, send them over. We'll have the conversation. And if you have and you filled out the form after you click the orange button. If you haven't, go ahead and fill it up anyways. So what I'm telling you is, like, we went through this experience just like you for three years. We were stuck for three years. We're trying to figure out what type of content, what to sell, what to do for three years. And I look back and I'm like, man, like, if I would have taken this step three years ago or three years before we actually took it, where will we be now? Don't get me wrong. I'm extremely grateful and thankful that the things that happened to us because he led us to this point where, you know, we're very fortunate to, you know, be running the business that we like to run, be working with the people that we adore, expanding with the community, with the studio, with the production services. But I'm like, I can't. I cannot help to think about, like, man, three years is a long time. So how we were able to unlock publishing for us and then monetizing right away was through an internal challenge that me and Fonsi decided one day after a terrible pitch. We were sitting down with eight business owners that our current boss at the time brought into the table because we were helping our fitness studio with the social media, and we were able to reduce attrition, which is that people falling off or like canceling memberships. It went from like 15% to like 3% by some of these things that we did, not only content wise, but on the community aspect. And they were like, oh my gosh, I love what you guys are doing. Let me introduce you to some of my business owners. So they came up there and we, you know, we do the pitch and we're excited, we're feeling confident. You know, our boss, you know, shout out to Donna, amazing person. She was like, oh my God, like, they're gonna do great. Like, she, she's always been looking out for us. And after the pitch, when we start asking, answering, you know, their questions, there was one guy that was like, hey, you know, I've been trying to research you guys since Donna introduced you, and I don't have a website. I haven't seen your content anywhere. Like, what's the proof that you guys are doing this right? And that question derailed the entire conversation. I didn't know how to answer it back then. I think today I would have said something a little bit different. Obviously with, I guess with the confidence that the results bring, it might seem a little bit easier today. By the time we felt lost, it felt like a gut punch, to be completely honest. And anyways, the entire meeting got derailed at that point and we didn't close any business. So we came back that afternoon and we sat down and we had a conversation and be like, okay, we are selling a content production service. That's, that's, that's the core offer that we had at the time. So people don't see our stuff. You know, they're not going to build trust with us if they don't hear us talking. They're not, you know, they're not going to believe that we do this thing. Even though we had the results and we're showing the results, there was a. Still an element that because we were invisible online, that trust diminished with the people that were in that room. And it felt so real and it felt. And we needed to make the money. We needed to make the money yesterday. So that day in there, after three years of trying different formats, we tried old YouTube, we tried like podcast multicam back then. We tried videos from the phone. We're like, screw this. Like, what we need to do is we need to remove friction and we need to create content consistently on a daily basis. And what we didn't know at the time is that we started working in our craft. We started working in how do we tell our story? Like, how do we find elements in our day to day in our work, how do we find and extract that value from the situations that are happening to me around our work and our life so we can share that story and then help somebody? We didn't know we were working on those skills until we actually started doing it. So our personal commitment back then was, hey, we were going to go publish for 45 days in a row. We're like, it needs to be something crazy that we can put out there into the world and go do it. And for us, it was born the 45 live challenge. And don't worry, we're not gonna do the 45 life challenge. We've done three seasons of it. But that's not what I'm talking about today. For me, I look at it as in my own personal challenge. And we started doing it and for me, the framework so I could stay consistent. We talk about this in the Business Creator club about the publishing pyramid is, you know, you have certain amount of resources. If you are a business owner, you. Your time is very limited. If you are a business owner and a parent, your time is super limited, right? So like, what are the resources that I have? Is it, do I have time, do I have money? Like, what can I leverage? That's the very top of the pyramid. And then it's like, those resources are going to have a capacity. Like, do the, you know, my, if I'm doing it myself, like, what's my own capacity? Do I have 30 minutes a day? Do I have two hours a day? Do I have, you know, XYZ? And then with that capacity, there's going to be a consistency layer of like, what is your consistency commitment with that capacity? And then at the bottom, obvious, you know, message over production. 100% of the time is your message. That's how we build upon. So once we recognize that and we have that in Business Creator Club, you can go in there, there's a quick video explaining in detail this, and there's a work, a worksheet that you can go through. You can then start moving up. Okay. My message is to help, let's say content business creators to be able to be present every single day and help them build systems to monetize, for example, right? And then we go up and be like, okay, my consistency back then was like, I need to be online every single day. But based on my resources, we couldn't have the podcast that we have now. We couldn't have an editor's team, like, how can we actually do that? So my resources were 30 minutes a day. And I. What I did is I committed those 30 minutes a day to think about a story related to the business and record a video. And at the time, Facebook Live was a big thing. It was a thing that was being launched at the time. So we decided to do a Facebook Live in part because we didn't have to edit, because after our audit, we identify that editing was our main friction point. Because we had all this client work that we're doing at the time. Not like crazy, we're freelancing. We have very limited. Look, I was just born, but we had the time a lot. You know, we're like, we need to deliver the customer because that's the one that's paying. So we're like, okay, if we create something ourselves, we don't need to edit. And that's why we decided to go live. Here's the thing. You've probably heard this story before. There's 45 live specific episodes around this. But what really triggered the thing for us was we created a challenge for ourselves. And we're like, okay, these are the guidelines. This is a roadmap. This is a blueprint, one Facebook Live a day that we're gonna put out to the world and test as a hypothesis, is it gonna work? I don't know. And this is everything. Like, there's. By the way, we've seen many formats work. We've seen, like, every single piece of content that you can put out there work at some de if you want to monetize and really tie with the business. It's just that we don't endure long enough to get noticed. We don't get better. We don't work on our craft to be noticed. So, you know, we try one format five, three times, and then it's like, okay, well, I didn't like it. Or, hey, maybe I didn't. I have mismanaged expectations. And I thought I was going to have a hundred thousand downloads, and I had 300. Well, 300 still really good. So how do we work and build on that? For us, that was 45 life challenge. Then. Then years later, we decided to partner with this wonderful woman, Stacy. And we bring into the continuous profit Facebook group a challenge called find you'd voice. And this channel was about 17 days, and we had a few people running from the people that we already had in the group. I think we had about 30 people do it with us for 17 days. We did something a little bit different. It was not a Facebook Live. People could write it out, could do presentations, they could do video for 17 days we did. We gave an incred incredible prompt to be able to do this. And the progress was incredible on that. Because of the feedback, business creator was born, right? So obviously on our side, it helped a ton. But on their side, they unlocked publishing. They were so stuck and they unlock it. And this lady was like, we're checking in on her. After 15 days, she goes, luis, it's not that I don't enjoy the thing. It's because I've unlocked this and I was able to be consistent. That allowed me to create without the friction of trying to think of what to say, because you guys were giving me these prompts. And because of that, I was able to unlock my creative side and I wrote an email and then that email brought me a bunch of meetings and now she was having those meetings and it was turning into business. I'm like, oh, my gosh, that's so amazing. Thank you so much for that feedback. So it was so cool to see that, right? And then obviously, you know, last. The last couple of weeks, you've been. If you've been tuning into the show, if you go to Bizrose Co monetize, that's all we're doing. We're like, Fonse told me, it's like, hey, you know Luis, he calls me Luis Daniel. My full name, right? Luis Daniel. I think we need to do like a one on one. I really want to test this out with the people that we have in the community. I have a lot to give and I want to do it and I want to do the first couple of versions completely free. And that's all we did. And after a week of having this meeting, after a few days of having these meetings, we've seen and we've experienced the problems and we're like, oh my God, that was us like three years into like 2019. That was us then because. And we kind of forgot a little bit about that pain. But now we see it and we're understanding and we're helping people move forward on that, on that end. So I'm trying to say is maybe you committing to a challenge is what you need to do to unlock some kind of publishing. So I'll let it out there. Here there's a couple options. Like for me, obviously, 45 live that after 15 days, you know, the quick stories, like we ended up. Somebody saw the content on LinkedIn. One person, by the way, this is not thousands of views. Thousands. One person saw it. I was able to send them a quick message of like, hey, thank you for that we establish a conversation and that originated a six figure deal for us down the line, down the line. I mean like the next week. So if it happened for us it could happen for you. Obviously there's an elements that we can work on. You know what is your offer? Where's the thing that you're offering is do you actually get results by offering this thing? So for people that have proven offers, I think that one on one business monetize, that's for you. So go there now if you're that. Now the second part of the challenge with say it and sell it baby which is the thing that we are announcing today is that 17 day challenge. So we're collaborating with an incredible company, they build software. We have a massive surprise that's gonna become to you for free on that channel. By the way, the challenge is free too. It's just in a group environment. So put it that I put the link right below. It's. It's thule.com I think forward/sayitandsellit. It's gonna be right in the description. We gotta do scroll down and click on it. And we're gonna be hanging out for 17 days for free in a group environment. But I promise it's not 17 days. A bunch of stuff is you're gonna come in, we're go you in the community completely free and we're going to give you these prompts so you can unlock publishing. And then week two we have a massive surprise and week three we have an even massive surprise. And we're going to actually teach you a framework where you can turn your words, what you say and your videos and your content into profit. A couple of things that you might need if you don't have it. It's not a deal breaker but they will help. If you have some kind of email list, it could be one email, it could be 10 emails, it could be 100, 1,000, 10,000 doesn't matter. These works, right? The other thing is you need to be open to try new things. So it's not going to be all in video if you don't want to. There are going to be different prompts and different things that we're going to do and it's going to probably take about 15 minutes a day. So nothing crazy. So again if we fill up the one on one challenge which is businessbros co monetize if that's filled up then I recommend joining and find your voice. There's going to be a future opportunity to do the one on one 100% but do the say it and sell it challenge. So the tooli link. Okay. Which is going to be like right below. I'm so stoked because challenges for us internal unlocked. The fact that six levers unlocked. Working on my messaging, you know, it unlocked my creation method. Whether that's that is video, whether that is writing, whether that is like a presentation. You don't lock it because we put in the reps. Right. It unlocked the production side because it allowed us to experiment with more content and new tools and things. And the tools we're going to give you for free, by the way, going to be so awesome. And you're going to blow your mind. I saw a demo this morning with the people that we're running the challenge with and it's going to be so cool. But you have to unlock it after five days, baby. And you're going to unlock it for free through your actions. Because we're triggering actions in this challenge. We want you to move forward and move the needle right then monetizing. We're going to talk about this and how can you connect your content into profit? How do you can move the people that are listening and watching you into your ecosystem and hopefully they are fit and then you make a ton of money doing it. Right. And then obviously we're going to talk distribution. Different things. But so homework for you if you want the one on one. So go postpots left. We're going to close it very soon. I think at the end of this week we close it so we can actually dedicate it into the say it and sell it challenge, which is a group environment. So either or pick your poison, baby. I know we did an episode on Call to Actions with our friends at Podmatch and Alex where it's like, okay, pick one. Call to action. Well, guess what? I'm giving you a choice. Apply for both, you know, or, you know, in case of doubt, go to Bizrose co Monetize and then you'll probably get a message from me saying, hey, you know, this is closer this week. We're going to start a different round in the next week or so. But I would love to have you in the say it and sell. It's still going to help you build the skills. If you're like, Louis, I'm a little too intimidated to do a one on one right now. Totally. Okay, Go to the say it and sell it challenge and put your information in there. And it's going to be so awesome. So we start on September 15th. That's Monday. So you're listening to this on a Thursday, the time that it came out, Thursday September 11th. Now on the 15th, that's when we start. We unlock everything. There's going to be a couple of emails that you'll see with your commitment cards and and so on. And I'm going to be doing the challenge just with you. So you know this doesn't stop. I'm excited and we will help you unlock your content machine not only production wise but the six lever messaging, creation, production, distribution, monetization and then obviously how to run it properly and build the right blocks so you can then delegate it and move to the next stage and create different kinds of content. So I'm so excited. Say and sell a baby link right below in the description. Can you tell I'm excited man. I just saw the demo and it was so good of the this tool like unlocks so many things and obviously, you know, we are where we would love to have you in the in the community. Part of it is like if you want to come to the community and have an incredible community of business creators that are already in that path, collaborate, network. But also we're here to serve you and support you in any formal way. So we're opening up opportunities. Guys, I'm so good. Come hang out. We love to meet you. We're not a fit. Totally okay. Be like Louise. You guys are, you know, say nice things. You guys are awesome. But you know my I might be into different things. Totally okay, we get it. But let's go crush it together. Thank you again for tuning into to Content is profit and I'll see you on either challenge. All right, links below. Take care. Bye.
