Today I have a special episode about something that is solidified this week and it's helped many, many entrepreneurs, including me, and I cannot wait to bring that to you in this content world so you can push that content forward and you can push your business forward. So without further ado, here we go. Hey, I'm Luis. Welcome to the Content Profit Podcast. In here, you're going to get the insights, accountability and drive to create consistently and increase your revenue. You'll hear from top entrepreneurs, creators, and anything and everything you need to know about content, all this while having a good time. The goal of this podcast is simple. Entertain, educate, and turn your content into profit. Welcome back. Content is Profit, Fam Squad, however you want to name it. By the way, we do have a Facebook community with about 300amazing entrepreneurs and creators. So come on, check it out. You can just go to Facebook and type content is profit. We're also going to link it right below next to all our social media. But today, today I have a very, very special episode because as you know, we invested heavy in learning, in coaching, in a ton of people that have helped us push our business forward. And every single day we're learning these lessons. But anyways, so obviously you know a little bit of our story and we have been creators, or I guess we define ourselves as creators for quite a bit now. The podcast is about to turn three years old in March. Insane. We're just on a call today with one of those coaches and we're sharing a ton of the secrets and the things that we've learned by publishing consistently because they're launching their show. So I was just reflecting on that. But anyways, identity shift as creators. And we were as creators. Right? Every single day we're presented with opportunities to put out something into the world, not just with our podcast, but also with the programs and the things that we're building in our business to, to serve our audience, to help them solve their problems. And we've been on a search for a long time to do this and that started the service a few years back, that optimized the service a few years back in our business. And now we are launching, as you might heard in the other conversations, a couple things in there. So I've been on calls with people from the community, from people from LinkedIn leads, people in the world of content, trying to figure out exactly what is the one problem that we're solving. And I think we have it narrowed down to something that we can deliver 100%. But with that, if you are a business, you probably know this process, right? You ask your customers, you ask the people that consume your content, you ask your leads, you ask every single person every single day to extract that information to make your service or product better. Now with that, once you have that feedback right, we have to create something. So what are we talking about today is the actual creation formula. Oh, oh, baby. When I learned this topic, I'm like, yes, please tell me everything. I'm like, doesn't like creation just happen instead of my head? That was what was going on. And, you know, I think the, the creation of the podcast came easy in a way because we've tried to replicate the thing over and over for years and then finally it clicked, right? So it doesn't have to happen like that to you in the content creation. But anyways, so this, I digress. Clearly Fonzie's episodes, people listen to more, more to him because he knows how to express this way better. But anyways, stay with me. Here we go. The content, the, the, the creation formula, right? These will help you create anything on content wise. But also in the business side, I think you can use this equation for every aspect of your life. Obviously, because of the podcast, we're going to talk about this in the sense of content, but again, it is a framework so you can utilize it for anything. How are we using it? We are using it ourselves inside of business and Content Profit to create two products that we're going to launch this year and we're going to redefine and we're going to utilize it to create more publishing platforms inside of our own network. So, super excited to share this. So we want to do is there's five worlds. So imagine, you know, a white piece of paper, and if you are in your desk, grab a white piece of paper and grab a pen and what you're going to do is you're going to draw five circles. So the first circle, right, put it on your paper. Then you have a second circle that's a little bit bigger, let's say double or triple the size of circle number one. And then you have a third circle that might be about the same size of circle number one. And then you have circle number four that may be a tad bigger than circle number three, a little bit smaller than circle number two. And then you have your last circle next to number four, whatever size you want. So these five worlds live together, right? And each one of them is a stage of this formula. And all of them have to coexist, but we have to execute in order so we can Able to create without much friction. And if you know, continuous profit. And you know our story, we started by creating with Facebook Live in the content aspect, right? And we started by creating on executing right in our. In our service. And you're going to see some elements of this and you probably have gone through some of this while you created your own platform or you create your own products, but then it's going to make a little sense. So the first world that we're going to talk about is your defined world. This is where first. This is your first step when you're trying to create something and is where we define the constraints. What are all those things that are adding friction to the desired output? So, for example, in if I want to launch a second podcast for we are, we're having. We were like these soccer jerseys all the time. And people are like, do you guys have a soccer podcast? And we're like, no, not yet. So maybe, maybe we'll launch a soccer podcast. But if we were to consider to create one of those, we will listen a piece of paper. Every single reason why we're not able to do that. For example, we have limited amount of time. I have two kids. I cannot record at night. I can record at this time. Maybe I only have 30 minutes. Maybe we don't have a team member today to do that. Maybe we do have a team member, but they have limited capacity. I have X amount of dollars to invest in this project. What are all the constraints around that? And what we want to do is when I brain dump all of those ideas in a piece of paper and put it there, so they get out of our head so many times, right? And I follow this advice from many other people that they go like to this Dream Zone scenario. But what happens is as soon as we do that and if we don't put those constraints on paper first, we're going to start to limit ourselves. So that's why it's so important in your first world. What you want to do is you want to define all those constraints. You know, what are the things that are getting in the way for you if you're creating a program for your customer, but mostly for you for your execution. So once you have all those things on paper, we're going to go to step number two, which is we're going to tackle the Explore world. The world number number two. That was the big one that you drew on your paper. That's your Explore World. This is where we get to play and where we get to have fun. This is, we're Going to put all the ideas, you know, throwing away all the constraints, forget about them, put it on paper, fold it, put it on the side. You're going to forget about all of those. Are you going to go to the play area, to your zone of genius, to your zone of fun? Are you going to put everything on a whiteboard, on a paper, on a wall if you need. So this world does not care what constraint constraint like they. You like to dream, you like to explore. You want to break out of every single constraint. So for example, I want to publish the show five times a week. I want to publish daily, I want to do it interviews every single day with professional soccer players. Again, we're going on the example with the soccer podcast. Maybe we actually do that, right? We're going to stream ourselves with guests while watching soccer games, right? We're going to monetize by chasing the biggest advertisers there is. We're going to monetize by selling it to our teams and then they're going to put some money into the show and we're going to grow it that way, right? We're going to monetize by coaching on the back end. We're going to monetize by creating these amazing events that we're going to invite all the audience. We're going to create with three different cameras. What are all these examples that you can put on paper that you're going to be there? If you can't imagine it, put it in there, have fun, go crazy. You know, in Venezuela, say, maybe have a little beer while you do this. But you know, we don't condemn alcohol. But anyways, let's see. Don't filter, right? We want the dumb and the silly ideas. Those are normally the bridge to your best ideas. So put it on paper, no judgment whatsoever. If you are with team members, you know, you do the back kitty thing where like if somebody judges your idea, just like splashing with water, be like, bye kitty. Bye kitty. I think this is like we talked about this in one of the episodes. But so anyways, get everything into paper. So now you have two papers, right? You have the paper with all the constraints. And now you have your explore world, right, with all your dream scenarios. Once you complete that. Now we're on to step number three, which is, you know, your world number three, your third circle there is your test and build world. Right here is when you're going to start collecting your constraints and your dreams and you're going to start creating this thing where it's going to look Like a little bit of Frankenstein, right? You're going to start testing, you're going to start doing the thing. So in our very specific example, with continuous profit, we said, hey, we're going to actually do it three times a week. Some of our constraints, we obviously wanted multiple cameras, we wanted a higher quality camera, we wanted a light, a bunch of stuff, right? But because we didn't have the resources at the time, what we ended up doing was plugging in the cell phone as a webcam into our computer and record it in the corner of the office that we had at the time. So again, how can you mix your constraint with your dream, trying to push towards your perfect scenario as much as you can? So we totally understand there might be some resources, but if you are the CMO of a company, if you are the CEO of the company, can you assign some resources for this project or this product to be tested and built? So obviously you're going to build this Frankenstein thing and this is how you start to tinker, start to execute on it, right? If we go to the context of publishing, start testing your publishing, can you stretch out? You know, can you do every single day? Maybe you do a week and you're like, man, like, that was crazy. I am not willing to do that. Okay, sounds good. Let's minimize it to maybe three times a week, two times a week, right? Maybe you record one day a week, but you record five episodes, shorter episodes, five episodes, 10, you know, sorry, five minute episodes, 10 minute episodes. You can start testing with all these ideas, right? This is how your constraints and how your explore world basically coexist. After you start doing this, right, you're going to get in some kind of consistency. And we talk about this in the publishing pyramid where you have your resources, right? You have, you know, how can you actually stay consistent? What is the capacity of you or your team? Like, all these things come into play so they fall inside of these worlds. And the next step, which is the world number four, right, is we start to simplify this whole process, right? So I'll give you a very vivid example of this with us. The podcast steps. I think the podcast process from Interview all the way till publishing was something about like 150 steps, right? So we documented the whole thing and then we started looking at that process and we're like, why can we automate? Why? What can we maybe skip, not skip, but what can we integrate? Why can we put together? So instead of one step is. Instead of five steps is just one step, right? How can we make this Happen. How can you make it so effective? So we went. That's why we went live. That's why we do these things. Now. We record directly into a software that is also an editing software. So as soon as we stop the recording, we don't have to export footage. We don't have to do anything. Everything is already in the software. So how can you start finding these solutions that can simplify the process for you? And this is a process that continues over and over, right? So the concept of what we created is there, but might not be fully optimal. So our fraction stain is big and live, and it can always get better. You know, maybe. Maybe the whole process, the whole product has too many parts, too many topics, too many sections. You know, I think when we first started, we decided that we were going to do five different sections in the podcast. I think we started doing them and then we're like, man, like the whole show was like two hours. Okay, maybe this is a section that we can cut off lately, right? If you follow the show for a while, we used to ask about the whole backstory of somebody, and we. We kind of go into that because personally, I think that that is very interesting. But we heard feedback from the audience that sometimes that might not be the reason they come to the show. They want the juice, they want the information. So we started not asking that question. That was one of the things. So that's another example of how you can simplify in the process, right? What else can. What else can I take away? That is a very important question where if you continue to ask that question as you continue to do the process, then you can do that. So, for example, for a podcast, we have a process that's called podcast flow. Here's where we manage our podcast. Here's where we have all the steps to do that. And every single time, as soon as I heard this equation, I asked my. I asked that question. Be like, hey, what else can I take away from this process to make it very smooth, very effective, very clear, right? Normally. And I think you're going to feel that one, right? I feel this way currently, most people are very overwhelmed. It's a lot of information out there. It's a lot of steps out there. You buy that course or you buy that product, and you might do a ton of things, but it might not do the thing that you're supposed to do the right way. So what we really need is that one thing that really works. So, again, keep that in mind as you continue to simplify your process. I am a true Believer that you have to go execute, you have to document your things and then you can, you have to analyze and then go back and figure and simplify. So we want to start getting feedback from our customers, from our audience. If you're publishing, if it's a product, right? From the, from the clients, feedback from the market, all these things, how can you gather feedback from this? So an example of this is we are creating two programs. One is a group coaching program, lower ticket, based on an accountability. Because the main problem that people come to us with, they cannot stay consistent while creating content. There might be several reasons of why. And then the other reason is like they don't have a system to produce the thing or they don't have a system to monetize their podcast from day one, right? Like I think I have to wait, you know, two years of consistent publishing, 300 plus episodes to get a sponsor. Sometimes that's not the case, right? We can do it right, right off the bat. And if you are a service provider, we have that. So now we have these two hypotheses, right? We went to the Crazy Zone, we went, we put our constraints in paper and now we're going out to market and gathering feedback as we explain what the results are, what the thing was, the thing that includes. And all that data is put back into the system so we can simplify it and we can create that product. So that's real life, what we're doing today. So the last world and the last step of this creation process is leave it and make it. So obviously we create the podcast every single week, three times a week, so we clearly leave it. I talk about podcasting all the time and I do believe that you do have to enjoy the process. We continually tell that story of us doing the T shirts in the garage in Florida with 90 degree weather and 80% humidity, and it was hell. I did not like that process at all. So we did it for a few months and then we decided to scratch that and sell all the equipment. But we learned a ton of lessons. But at the same time, with this podcast process, we do enjoy doing it. We do enjoy tinkering with it, we do enjoy receiving feedback, we do enjoy doing the research. Finding these topics and sharing them with you is the best part of our day. So again, leave it and make it so. Quick recap for all the five worlds of the content creation formula. Number one, we have to define all those constraints. Number two, we have to explore, go to the Dream Zone, go to the Crazy Zone, put all those things on paper. Number three, we got to test it and we're going to start building it, right? And then number four, as you go and execute, simplify the whole process. And then number five, leave it and continue to make it. So hopefully this was a good episode for you and you can put this in there. If you put this process in action. Don't forget. Share with us. Let me know what you are creating.
