Welcome to the Courage and Clarity podcast. I'm your host, Steph Crowder. I'm a former sales training director who's helped thousands of entrepreneurs earn a living doing something they love over the past 10 years. On your journey, you'll need the courage to be bold, to take risks, and to do what looks crazy on paper. You'll also need the clarity, the brass tacks, simple strategies that actually work. And on this podcast, we deliver both in equal measure. Oh, and by the way, we've got absolutely no time for bs, gross marketing tactics or get rich quick schemes. Just sustainable business strategies for good humans with big dreams. If that sounds like you, you're in the right place. Let's go. Hey there CNC listeners. Welcome to the podcast. It's episode number 109 and you know what time it is. We are talking about my annual, wildly popular training Year on the Wall. It is back. It is better than ever and it's going down soon. It's happening live on Friday, December 6th at 11am Eastern Time. You can go to yearonthewall.com Tickets are available. You can grab yours. That gets you your seat in the training whether you're going to come live or of course, also by purchasing a ticket to this training, you will get the replay yours to keep. You can revisit it as many times as you'd like next year and into the future. It also comes with the workbook and everything that's included to help you take advantage of this process and really get that year up on your wall for 2025. We are going to break it down today. Whether you are brand new here and you're like, I don't really know what this whole thing is about, or you're an OG and you've been to Year on the Wall in the past and you're coming back for more, I love you either way and I'm so excited to support you. So in today's episode, we are talking, of course, about Year on the Wall. Specifically, I want to talk about why your 2025 vision starts right now. It is November 11th as I record this episode. And you know, I don't know about you, but it can feel a little bit counterintuitive to be like, okay, I have to be thinking about 2025. Like, hold on a second. This is the time of year that we're getting the Christmas decorations out. If you celebrate Christmas or, you know, whatever you do for the holidays, a lot of us have end of year traditions of some kind. Everything within us is like, wait, we're going into cozy season. Like, isn't it time to sort of wind things down? Like, what do you mean we're talking about 2025. It can feel a little bit aggressive. I want to make the case for why we are talking about this now. Why I insist on doing this training in the first week of December. And I just want to give you all of the information you need to really start to get you excited about the opportunity at hand, which is starting to dream and plan into 2025. It might feel like really type A or really over the top, but I'm going to show you in this episode why. I mean, honestly, one way we could look at it, it's like why planning ahead allows you to be as lazy as possible. And it sounds crazy, but just bear with me, okay? If you're looking for an episode, if you're newer here and you want to know more about, like, what Year on the Wall is, and you want to hear a deep dive into the four steps that we go through in youn're on the Wall, you can actually scroll back all the way to episode number two. On the podcast 002, I get into the four steps pretty deeply. You can also read about them on yearonthewall.com I'm not going to get as deep into the process because those resources already exist. I wanted to make a different episode as we announce and celebrate the return of Year on the Wall. This episode is going to be a slightly different angle as I just described. So if you're looking for more of a baseline in terms of like, what is this and. And why do we even do it? Those are some, some places that you can turn to for the purpose of today's episode. Let's dig into why 2025 starts now in terms of your vision. I want to get you all really excited about starting to think ahead, even though, again, it might sort of be the last thing you feel like doing. And to be honest, same same for me, whenever I go to teach you on the Wall, I have to like, drag myself into it a little bit, if I'm being fully honest. I have my calendar pages and it all. I think to myself, okay, gosh, I got a teacher on the wall. The people want it. I always love it. I know I always jokingly say it's like my Super Bowl. I always get super duper into it. And without fail, this is like my probably my sixth or seventh year teaching year on the Wall. And by the way, quick caveat for those of you who are like, is it Different? Is it the same as before? Like, why would I take it again? Let me just address that really quickly. We have repeat students who come to Year on the Wall and yes, buy a new ticket every single year. Why do they do that one? Yes, I always do make updates and changes and that is because I evolve. My process evolves, the world evolves. So you can always expect some. Like the slides will be new and different. The way I teach it will be, you know, at least slightly new and different. Truth be told, I don't 100% know yet. It's November 11, right? I know I will be teaching it. I'm in the process of going through my own version of Year on the Wall because that's how I prepare for the training is I do it myself. Um, and that always gets me like crystal clear on how I'm going to approach it. I will tell you, the core of it is, is always largely unchanged. And that's because it works okay. It is tried and true. It's been supporting me for like a decade at this point or getting close to it. You know, the core steps of like the four color coded sticky notes and vision casting and knowing the dollars and cents, that stuff is always going to be there because it's not gimmicky, it's not trendy. It is, like I said, tried and true. Now how we think about it and like new learnings and new frameworks, those always make an appearance. So that is one reason that we have clients just come back to you on the wall again and again. But also guys, I. A lot of people tell me, yeah, I'm always going to buy a ticket. Even if you taught it exactly the same, which again, I don't. But even if you taught it exactly the same, there is something like it's sort of the kick in the pants that a lot of you tell me that you need in order to actually plan. Right. I know for me, like I'm the type of person where if I'm going to do the planning, if I'm going to do the work, I need to show up somewhere, I need the teacher to hold my hand. It's the same reason why I work out in a boot camp style gym because I just don't need to be by myself. I need to go to a place where I'm going to be pushed, I'm going to be challenged and I'm going to be taught. And so that is one big reason to come to Year on the Wall Again. Even if you've done it in the past the energy is different, especially if you can come live. I mean, catching the replay is great too, but if you can be there live, you're going to get so excited about what is to come and you're going to have that fresh, updated energy, even if you've been to this training in the past. Okay, so with that being said, let's dive in. Let's talk about. I've really been playing with this idea of why your 2025 vision starts now and how you can make the most of Year on the Wall by starting it early. Even though, like I said, I'm going to make the case for, like, actually doing this process early allows you to be as lazy as possible later. It's so funny because when I do Year on the Wall and I post all of my reels and I go crazy on social media because it's really fun, since it's so visual, I always get at least one person who's like. And you know, it's. Yeah, it's typically just like one on one person who's maybe trolling me, who's sort of like, I remember I got a message from this one guy I. It was last year who was like, he literally said, you can't control the future, lady. And it's like sometimes there's always people out there who think that I'm a super control freak or that I'm trying to. I've been accused of, like, trying to predict the future. And like I said, this is like one person out of like hundreds of supportive, you know, comments and likes. And for the most part, people are super into this. But there's always going to be one person who's got something to say. And it's always just strikes me as interesting that that's quite a take, right? It's quite a take to look at this and be like, oh, you're trying to predict the future. When really I see Year on the Wall as not trying to predict the future, but at getting better and better at rolling with the punches of life. I actually think this tool is the ultimate tool for learning to be more flexible. Okay? Needing to be flexible is not an excuse not to plan. That's one thing. I see people, I see a lot of folks going wrong where they're like, well, life is so unpredictable. I don't know. Life is so crazy. Like, why make a plan anyway? And while I can understand how you arrive at that thought, it is genuinely a thought error. Okay? Just because life is predictable doesn't mean that you can't make a plan. But the key is to make a flexible plan. The key is to understand your values, understand what is important to you, understand what actually matters, so that when life does its thing and things pop up and the unexpected happens, you're not making that decision of what matters in real time. Does that make sense? Let me say that again, maybe in a slightly different way. When you make decisions ahead of time about what's. About what matters to you, when you cultivate your vision for the future in a time of relative calm, okay, you're not making those decisions. When you're a chicken with your head cut off, you're not making those decisions from a place of panic. You're not trying to figure out how to pivot while also asking yourself what matters. So you're making decisions ahead of time about the latter. You're making decisions ahead of time about what you care, about, what you value as an individual and as a company, if you're an entrepreneur, so that when you do enter times of stress, higher stress, you have an anchor. You have that grounding foundation. And don't forget, when we do Year on the Wall, you can, you know, go look at my Instagram at heystefcrowder or go to Year on the Wall. Com to see, like, visually, right? We use these color coded sticky notes. We do that so we can move them around. I once had someone ask me, why don't you just write on the calendar? Why are you writing on these sticky notes? And the answer is, because we can move them around. So I don't want you thinking about like, oh, I don't want to make a rigid plan. My life is too unpredictable. I would argue that the more unpredictable your life is, the more flexible you have to be. So know the difference between being unprepared and planless versus being flexible and willing to go with the flow, but so sure and certain of yourself and rooted and grounded into the stuff that matters. So even when the craziest stuff comes your way, you're not confused. You don't know. You don't. You're not sitting there wondering how much money you need to make and where the money's going to come from and, and what you want your life to look like and what time off should be. You already made all those decisions, right? You, you have your own back into the future. Actually, the most loving thing you can do for the future version of yourself, that is dealing with stress. Okay? I really want you to think about that. I know it's like a different take, but it's one of the reasons I love this process so much. It's like this way that you can love yourself in the future. We don't know what the future holds. And I'm not here trying to predict it, okay? But I am trying to plan. That's what's interesting. I'm not trying to plan for the stuff I can't predict, but I am trying to plan for the mental state and the emotional state. And I'm trying to make some of those decisions easier because I've done the pre work that is possible ahead of time. Let that sink in. With that said, let's get into, you know, just thinking about why we do this early and the opportunity we have to do this on December 6th. I really want to challenge you to come join. Join me on September 6th if. I'm sorry, September, December, December, December 6th. If you can be there. So just remember, Year on the Wall, it isn't just about marking dates or, you know, pulling out pretty post it notes or setting goals for 2025. It's really about shaping the life that you want to live next year and into the future. With work, family, and rest. All of those things are playing together and they're all syncing with each other. So let's talk about why now is the perfect time to get started. Why and how this process changes the game and what you can expect when you join us for Year on the Wall this year and again, you can go to Year on the wall. Com at any point to get your ticket. So let's start with just the basics, right? Why? Planning for 2024 starts now. So of course you don't need me to tell you that as we wrap up 2024, especially with the holidays and everything that's coming up, life starts to feel like it's on warp speed. It starts to feel really busy. And I mean, I. I gotta be honest with you all. Before I hit record on this podcast episode, I was like, oh, shoot, we. We haven't taken our Christmas photo. We have to get the Christmas cards. Like, it's already started for a lot of us. Okay? And so I know that in some ways me asking you to make space for 2025 just feels like one more thing. You're like, are you kidding me? I am trying to just get through this. I am trying to make sure that we have our family traditions and the Thanksgiving and the this and the that. And now you're asking me to put 2025 on top of it. You're crazy. If that's your response, I totally understand. But here's what I would offer to you. Early planning for 2025 makes the end of 2024 more peaceful and intentional. Okay. Early planning for 2025 makes the rest of 2024 more peaceful and intentional. I want you all to know, you may have heard me say before that I have learned to practice self care as an extreme sport. Self care, but make it extreme, right? With that, I've become pretty obsessed with feeling as much peace as possible. Like, to me, peace is like the ultimate luxury. There's nothing more luxurious than feeling peace in your life, right? And so I'm never going to ask you to do something that robs you of your peace. In fact, quite the opposite. Everything I stand for and everything I teach is really a crusade in the name of peace. And so when you plan 2025 now, it brings clarity. One of my favorite words, of course, on the Courage and Clarity podcast, right? It brings clarity because it will lighten your mental load. And mental load is the source of so much exhaustion, pressure, confusion, and burnout, frankly. And so when you can clean this up now, you. It will let you enjoy the holidays more. I want you to picture yourself, you know, walking into your office on your first day of 2025, whenever you're coming back to the office. And it's like, it could go one of two ways. One, you're sort of like coming out of the groggy hangover, like, cookie high, and you're walking to your office and you're like, who am I? What am I? What is work? And you have to, like, dust off the cobwebs and try to figure out what you want to do in 2025. I don't know about you, but that mental image in. In that picture, I already feel behind. I already feel like I'm trying to play catch up. And that is just not the vibe that I'm trying to go for in 2025 or any year, right? On the flip side, imagine just taking a part of your day on Friday, December 6, to give yourself the gift of walking into your office on that first day of the year 2025, looking at your wall, seeing your plan, and knowing exactly what you're doing. You're not confused. You're not behind. You're not like, oh, gosh, I gotta play. I gotta play catch up. Now I have to chase my tail. No, you're like, oh, yeah, I already did this. Thank you, previous me. I. I can just get to work. No drama, no baloney. Let's just get down to it. Get your 2025 planned. Okay. Again, a flexible plan to kind of give you. We always, with Year on the Wall, we always use the turn of phrase, guided flexibility, the rails on the road so that you can be like, oh, yeah, okay, we're good, let's go enjoy. Let's go. Take time off. And then we walk into the office next year. It's go time. It's business time. It's not prep time. It's literally go time. Okay. Huge. Huge. Huge, huge. All right. With that being said, I want to talk about how Year on the Wall is different from any other planning session, because I'm no dummy. I know that there's other planning sessions y'all could attend. I know that other people are talking about planning. I know that it's kind of like the time of year. We're coming into the time of year where you're gonna be maybe bombarded with different opportunities to plan. I want to share a few. I think there's a lot of reasons why you're on the wall is different, but there's three big ones that I want to share. The first one is it's life first, not just goal first. Let me say that again. Life first, not just goal first. There are a lot of different ways that you can plan your year. Most of them are going to be about putting your goals first. And that makes sense intuitively. But everything changed for me in my life when I started putting my life first and then allowing the goals to fall into place around my life instead of the other way around. Because if you're a high achieving type, which I'm guessing you are, because you listen to this podcast and you have your own business, you are. If you put the goals first, you're going to be trying to squeeze your life around your business. And I don't know, I don't know about y'all, but that is not why I started my business. I started my business to be the kind of parent that I want to be for my. My children. I didn't even have kids when I started, but now I do. And we're busy. Okay? We are booked and busy. And I don't want to be trying to squeeze my kids and my family in these years of my life around my business. But I want a wildly successful business. I don't want to sacrifice my business goals. I don't want to sacrifice my. My clients. Absolutely not. And so what we do to reconcile this is we protect your personal time first. That's the very first step in Year on the Wall is we ask the question a Very un. Unprecedented question, I think, which is, when do you want to be off what you got? Like, when I do my year on the wall, the first thing I do is pull up my daughter's cheerleading schedule, pull up my son's school schedule, pull up when his breaks are right for both my kids. And I ask myself, when are. Like, when is our time? When do I need to block myself off so that I don't book over the important times that I want to be there with my family? Spring break, you know, midwinter break, all the things in the summer. I think about those things first, and I think that that has been maybe the number one thing that has helped you on the Wall to change my life. Because again, if I don't do that, I am the type of person I am probably prone to overworking if I'm not careful. Maybe you are the same way. I'm always going to book over that stuff on accident, and then I'm going to be. This has happened to me before where I start to do my year on the wall and I go, oh, my gosh, I was going to launch. I was planning to launch, and it was right in the middle of spring break or I was going to launch and, oh, my goodness, like, that's my daughter's birthday or something like that, right? And so taking that time to put the. The. The sort of concentration where it belongs, the energy where it belongs, like, what matters to you. I know I talk a lot about kids and family. Maybe that's not your life. Maybe you have something else in your life. You vacation some, you spend like. Some. You spend part of the year in a different location or you are writing a book, whatever that is that you want to protect. We. We do that first. You may have heard of the book Profit first, where author Mike Michalowicz teaches you how to actually pay yourself before anything else. And that is like such a revolutionary idea. We do the same thing with Year on the Wall, but we prioritize your personal time first. If you take nothing else from the process, that right there will change your whole life as a business owner. So that's, number one, that makes us different. Number two, vision driven with real dollars and cents. I love both of these elements of Year on the Wall, so both of them will always be in my training. No matter how much I update it, no matter how much we evolve, we're always going to be talking about vision casting, and we're always going to be talking about the real dollars and cents. So when we focus on your big dreams, we have to also look at real, actionable, actionable financial goals because it's so easy to run away with the more, more, more, more mentality of money. And instead, I don't want you to go through 2025 feeling like no amount of money is ever enough being on the. What we call the infinity money treadmill. Instead, I want you to align your work with your true priorities. So we start by figuring out, what do you even want next year? If next year is like a buffet? Okay, you can't eat everything. You're gonna throw up, right? You. You don't need to put everything on your plate. What do you want to put on your plate? Okay, great. And then how do we figure out how to fund that? How much money is that actually going to cost? What do you need to make. This is such a relieving exercise for so many people. They're like, oh, my gosh, that I actually need to make less money than I thought, or, oh, my gosh, this is so much doable. More, more doable than I thought it was. Okay, so really, not just creating the vision, however, creating the vision is incredibly powerful, but also figuring out how, like, what are the dollars and cents to your dreams, specifically in your individual situation. Absolutely huge. And then the third thing that I just haven't seen done as well, frankly, in any other planning session is the visual beauty and clarity of Year on the Wall. This is a big reason why Year on the Wall goes bonkers every year. Because, you know, it looks pretty, right? It looks cool. People will be like, what do you. What is that? What are those colored posts? I mean, that's how Year on the Wall got started. I've told this story before, but I was just doing it. These big calendar pages, I was putting them up in my own office, and I came up with this system. For me, I actually never intended. Intended on teaching it to anybody, but I would have it in the background when I was on camera for various things, and people would literally be like, what is that behind you? How do I learn about it? Can you show me? And I was like, sure. And I did it for the first time just as a casual, like, hey, whoever's around? And I had, like, over 200 people come to that session, and I thought, whoa, okay, there's really something here. And I think what that is, is there's this appeal. There's this little extra appeal, this extra aesthetic of walking by your wall and seeing exactly what's coming up, right? That clarity, that sort of, like, sigh of relief. And also, you can Just glance at your wall and always know what needs attention in your business without feeling overwhelmed. Like, it takes so much of the overwhelm out of it. It takes it out of your head and onto paper, and it displays it visually in a way that you actually enjoy having up in your office, that you actually enjoy looking at when you walk in with your cup of coffee every day. Right? So the visual beauty and clarity, that's the fun part. But it's more than just fun, I believe. I think it actually makes us. It's. It's like the. Because we enjoy looking at it, it makes. Makes it more functional. Right? Because you just like. It's. It's fun. It's fun to just look at it and be like, oh, my gosh, look at that. Like, look at those colors. I know exactly what's going on. I can just, like, breathe a sigh of relief. And that is a tribute to the clarity that year on the wall brings us. Now, with all of that being said, I do want to dive a little bit deeper into how taking some time, carving out some time again, I recognize fully what a busy time of year this is, and it might feel like a big ask. And I get that. I want to acknowledge that, that I'm asking you to take a couple hours out of your day on Friday, December 6, or whenever you're going to do it. If you can't be there live again, it's really no big deal. But you're going to need to grab a couple hours to get this done. I want to make the case for why it makes sense to do this now instead of waiting until January, because I think there was a time that I did my planning in January, and I will never do it again. I will never go back to that, getting it done in the first week of December, frankly, at the latest, the first week of December is the sweet spot. Right? It's late enough in the year. Like, if you do it too early, I think that that's just like, there's. You're just not in the headspace yet to be thinking about next year. But we also don't want to wait again until we come back in January and we're like, shoot, I feel like I should just be getting down to work, but I'm having to, like, sit here and plan when I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and just dive in. So that sweet spot for me and for my clients when I teach you on the wall is that first week in December. And so ever since I changed that, I have found that this yearly practice sets up a sense of control, calm and confidence for the year ahead. Yes. But also for the remainder of 2024. I think it's important to recognize that at this point in the year, we're not really working for 2024 anymore. Right. The work you do between now and the end of the year is honestly setting you up for 2025. Right. Because think about it. If you were to have the mindset that you're still like, the work you're doing right now is for 2024, I think most of us would be like, eh, good enough. Like, I've had a good enough year. I'm ready to pack it in. Let's just like, put Hallmark movies on and like, call it a day. While I'm very much in favor of Hallmark movies, there is, I find this every year there is this beautiful little last sort of squeeze of the year right now. And actually it's like a little bit later in the year than like right now it's November 11th. But in between Thanksgiving, if you're in America, you celebrate Thanksgiving. In between Thanksgiving and Christmas, there's this little, like, if we're wringing out the sponge, is this last little bit of time that I think is such a beautiful time to work with versus just kind of like letting the year landslide into holiday time. Okay. I mean, me personally, I'm going to be taking off the last couple weeks of the year completely off. So hear me loud and clear. It's important to take time off, but it's also important to utilize this energy of the end of the year. It's a beautiful energy to start thinking ahead, be proud, be so proud of what you've done in 2024. Okay? But let's start thinking about what's to come. And so the thing that I think makes it so valuable is I find this time and time again is that when we have clear priorities, when we've taken the time to clarify what matters to us, we free up our energy for what matters. So you're not walking into your holiday season with this like, cloud hanging over your head of like, okay, how many days left until I go back to the office? Okay, I gotta figure out 2025. Like, it kind of has like that Sunday scary feeling to it. I don't know about you, but I don't want to spend my whole holiday vacation in Sunday scary mode. I want to just dig in, get that pre work done so that I can make the holiday season and this last bit of the year feel really spacious and intentional because the other thing that happens is when we do our vision casting, which I'm going to talk a little bit more about in just a moment, we're thinking about 2025, but you start to get clear on what you want in life. And guess what? That doesn't magically start on January 1st. You're going to feel different walking away from the training on December 6th, you're going to feel lighter. Not just because you planned, but because you're like, oh, I've kind of come back to home base. Like, you know, imagine spending the holidays with your family and you could spend it sort of like being in unintentional, like stressed out spiral. Or you can spend it having taken that time. Like this is a form of self care, I would say, right? Thinking ahead, giving yourself that time to get clear on what you care about is a form of self care. And we know that when we pour into ourselves, that frees us up to be who we want to be for the people we love most. I haven't really said that out loud or even conceptualize that, but Year on the Wall really is a form of self care and I think that's a really cool way to look at it. So, okay, thinking about visualizing 2025 and why we vision cast before we plan again. I think this is something that makes Year on the Wall so different than other planning tools that are out there. So like you could just buy a planner and most of the time you just kind of start like writing in dates and you start being like, okay, like you just start jumping into the brass tax. In my experience, that's a really big mistake. You're missing a key step. Which is why I always have, I always guide my Year on the Wall clients to connect with that clear vision of their year ahead before jumping into those tactics. Right? Because when you go, and believe me, we do plenty of strategy and you're on the wall. But before we get into the strategy, we have to make sure if I just keep thinking about that buffet metaphor. If you think about, like, I want to make sure that what is on your plate is actually what you want to eat. You don't want to sit down and be like, oh my God, I actually hate artichokes. And this plate is just like full of artichoke dip, right? You really want to make sure that what you are doing is what matters to you. And so in the Year on the Wall process, I offer you guidance to really help your vibe for 2024. I'm sorry, 2025 really come clear we always think about this concept that I have that I call life buckets, where we just look at the different sort of categories. If you think about your life having departments, think your life is a department store and you have like five to 10 departments of your life. We are going to go department by department, helping you uncover what you actually want. And then this really cool, fun thing happens where we kind of summarize everything that you've done in into one word that becomes your totem or your symbol for the year ahead. And I always, like, love hearing what everyone's chosen. And it's so cool because in my clients and people that I'm talking to through the year, I see them referencing that word again. It becomes like your North Star, like whatever word that you choose and I guide you to find the right word for you. The exercise makes it kind of come up really clearly and you will get all the way into your year and be like, you'll just kind of keep coming back to that word or that phrase as a touchstone as your North Star for when you inevitably get turned around. So that part of the training is huge. The light bulbs start going off for people like crazy. And again, it's going to shape your 2025, but it's also going to shape how you show up to that family time, to that precious holiday season, which I just love so much, which is why I will always do a year on the wall before we head into that sort of holiday season. And so the last thing I just want to share in terms of why I love this process so much and why I think it's just unmatched in terms of other options that are out there, is the way that we bring your goals to life with the color coded sticky notes. I know it's everybody's favorite part. It's really fun. But there is truly a power that comes with visual planning with sticky notes. So we've, we use four colors. We've always used four colors. We do orange, pink, green and blue. You can use any colors you want, but those are the official, official year on the wall colors. And each of the colors denotes a different type of action. A different type of. It could be. It sort of just depends on what we're talking about, but it is action based and helps you really understand what you are doing on any given day of month. Okay. And we map it out clearly so the whole picture comes together. So questions like, when am I working? When am I resting? When am I making money? When am I building my audience? How am I making the money. How am I building my audience? All of those things. Can you believe it? All of those questions can be answered by just glancing at your wall and looking at these sticky notes, which I think is just so incredible. And never, like, I've been doing it for so long, and it just never loses. Loses its magic for me. And so when you use this format, it really does help entrepreneurs, especially creative entrepreneurs, design a balance and achievable. I think that word achievable is so important. I think what creates that feeling is this sensation of everything has a place. Okay, doing your year on the wall is a little bit like doing a puzzle. It's a little bit like doing a jigsaw puzzle, where we have to make everything fit, and we play around with it until what you have in front of you is a picture of balance. A balance between life and work, play and rest. Selling and creating content, like, everything kind of has this balance to it. You know, you can move it around because this is not in permanent marker. It's a sticky note that can be moved, and it's just a whole lot more satisfying and actionable than just another list of goals. We can make a list of goals and shove it in the drawer, never look at it again. That's part of the beauty of having the courage to put it on your wall. It's not in a drawer, guys. It's not in a book. It's not in a file on your computer. It's on your wall. People walk in my house. My office is at the front of my house. People walk in, and they. They can see my office through this glass door, and they're like, what's that? And I have to be like, oh, that's what I'm working on this year, right? Like, talk about accountability. So many of you tell me you want accountability. Year on the wall gives you that. You got to look at it every day, and if it's not working for you, you got to be like, all right, how do I change it? What needs fixing? What needs changing? What needs moving around? Because again, I come back to that word flexibility. It's supposed to be flexible. I have moved. I think my favorite example of this is I use my year on the wall to plan out my launches for my programs. And you can ask anyone who's ever met with me, My assistants, my team, they see me. Even my coach, they see me, like, turn in my chair to look at my wall. I'm like, when am I launching? Like, my year on the wall is really my. My playbook. And you know, my clients sometimes will be tempted to like cancel a launch when, when life gets busy, you're on the Wall will have you not canceling that launch because you'd have to tear down those green post it notes. Like, you're not going to want to do that. What you do instead is you look at your wall and you stand there and you go, okay, I can figure this out. This is a puzzle. Where can I move this launch? And that is what I have done. I did it in 2024. I had some stuff come up and I had to move my launch around for one of my programs and I just started moving the sticky notes to make it work for me in my life. So instead of canceling it and being like, oh my God, this isn't going to work anymore, which is tends to be everyone's knee jerk reaction. Using Year on the Wall changes the question. It makes the question, how do I make this work? Okay, life has happened, no problem. How do I use the flexibility that's built into this system to still achieve my goals by moving things around? So I am so excited, my friends, to invite you to Year on the Wall. It's going to be, I mean, I feel like every year I teach it, it just gets better and better.
