Even if you're not sure and you're just thinking about it. It's something that you and I can discuss and kind of make a plan for what it might look like to work together so you can decide. All right, let's get into today's episode. Welcome to the Courage and Clarity podcast. I'm your host, Steph Crowder. I'm a former sales training director who's helped thousands of entrepreneurs earn a living doing something they love over the past 10 years. On your journey, you'll need the courage to be bold, to take risks, and to do what looks crazy on paper. You'll also need the clarity, the brass tacks, simple strategies that actually work. And on this podcast, we deliver both in equal measure. Oh, and by the way, we've got absolutely no time for bs, gross marketing tactics or get rich quick schemes. Just sustainable business strategies for good humans with big dreams. If that sounds like you, you're in the right place. Let's go. Hello. Hello friends. Welcome to episode 199 of the podcast. This is day two of my finish the year even stronger than you started. Finish the year sold out. This is where we are talking about your game plan. Your five part game plan for we're finishing this year stronger than you started. How we're going to make the second half better than the first half of this year. And every day this week I am tackling one area where if you were my client and I was coaching you if you came into the sold out group programs, Mastermind, these would be five of the key buckets that we would be looking at together in our coaching and in our journey to help you do exactly that. Right? How to have double the results and finish the year, you know, at a point where if you can kind of picture yourself New Year's Eve clinking the glasses, the, you know, the ball is coming down and you are just standing there thinking, gosh, the me from July would never have believed this. That's what I want for you. And so I really sat down, actually went for a walk, and I just brain dumped. Like, if there were five key areas that I would be looking at to create that result with you, these are those things. So this is day two. We are talking about simplifying your offer. Okay. What we really want to do to clean up your offers. This is absolutely huge. And in fact, I find for a lot of my clients who have been around for a while, if you've been in business for five years, 10 years, you probably have some offer clutter. It's like the garage you've been avoiding or the closet or the whatever it is, right? That space in your house, you know which one I'm talking about, where you're like, yeah, things have gotten a little bit cluttered up in here. We're gonna talk about why you need to do this and how to make it a bit more approachable. So the truth is that too many offers really do create confusion for you and for your audience. I want you to think about just the experience of somebody landing on your page and there's like six different places for them to go. They could try this offer, they could go to this thing, they could download this freebie, and they're like, what am I supposed to be doing here? Okay, so it's confusing for your audience, and they may just end up doing nothing, which is hurting your sales for sure. But it's also confusing for you. If you are familiar with the concept of essentialism, there's a book, it's a short read. I highly recommend it. The concept of essentialism tells us that we have a finite amount of energy and attention, right? I could argue that. I could argue that we could always increase our energy, increase our capacity. But that's a conversation for another day. Let's just go with it, right? For this moment, you have a finite amount of attention, energy resources, capacity. And you could take that finite amount. Let's define it as X and apply X across six different directions. And you can kind of imagine like the arrow going like being split, like the, the amount being split over six different arrows and it would go like a little bit in each direction versus if you took that same X and applied it to one of those arrows. Now that arrow is going so much further. And I know how difficult this is, believe me, as somebody who is committed to selling one offer this year. Y' all know that, right? One offer, not five. That's what I'm doing this year. And it is to create more concentration, more concentrated results in one direction. Now, I'm not saying you have to do one thing for the rest of your life and some of you are going to feel boxed in by that, and that's totally okay. But if we're talking about creating a concentration of results over the next six months, or let's be honest, it's going to, it's going to feel like less than six months. It's technically a little bit less than six months. We got the holidays in there. You know, it's like three to four good months with vacation. Okay. You have to get really clear on what result you want to impact. I'm always telling my clients it's important to work in these 90 day chunks. A lot of times we'll look at 90 days or maybe six months of what we are committing to. You don't have to marry it for the rest of your life. But if you could just pick one of your offers for the next six months, Sorry, the next three, three to six months, let's call it that. What is the thing that is going to bring you the best results? That's really the question to ask yourself. Out of everything you could sell, what's the one thing, what's the one thing that makes sense for you to focus on? And you know, the truth is more offers feel safer. Okay? It feels safer. You're like, I don't wanna put all my eggs in one basket. Some people want this and some people want that and some people want this other thing. So it feels safer to try a bunch of different things, but it performs worse, which is why you don't end up having any of the results in any of the directions that you've chosen, right? So a simple offer looks like just again committing to a short defined period of time and saying, I'm going to give everything I have to making this work right for me again. I am 100% for this entire year, 100%, working on selling my Mastermind sold out group programs. When you have the courage and the discipline and the constraint to focus on Selling one offer. This is how I see my clients go from having one client, you know, they might come to me with one client on the books to seven clients in a matter of two to three months. Right. Or they come to me feeling like, you know, I have one client I'm thinking of who had night had made like $96 recently. And within the, the within the first six weeks of working together was up to over 15K. That is the power of just waking up every day and focusing on that one thing. I had a call with a prospective client earlier today where we talked about this. This client is really excited to go to group with her coaching, she really wants to have a group program and she's 100% going to do that. But for the next 90 days, we talked about closing five one on one clients to cover her investment in sold out group and refine her sales skills. So that's what she's going to work on for the next 90 days. So simple offers are really the thing that make everything else work for the next 90 days. It's one of the first things that I look at. Again, we're playing the game of what would I do if you were my client? If I pop open your website and I just see my brain can go in all of these different directions. I'm going to challenge you to choose one, maybe two. Sometimes we allow to. If you really don't want to let, let two go, that's fine. But we want to pick two things. And I want. And again, on the offer side, I'm talking about offers, specifically two. One would be better. One offer that you really want to move the needle on for the next 90 days, for the rest of the year. If you could really just like have that offer take off, I know that you've got it in your brain when I say that something's popping to mind for you, you're like, yeah, that's the offer that I would really want to be successful. Great. That's the one that you are just going to put the blinders on and simplify the heck out of it. Simplify the marketing, simplify the messaging, simplify how you explain it. And on the topic of, you know, talking about it a lot, that's something we want to do as well. When you simplify your offer, you free up the time and space on your platforms to talk about it a lot. Your ideal people need you to talk about the offer 20 times, 40 times, 80 times. Not the same way every time. We'll change it up of course, but. But you're probably if you have a bunch of offers, you have offer confusion in your business. You're not talking about any one thing long enough and clearly enough for people to action on it. So that's the other thing that happens when you simplify your offer is you free up all of this space and bandwidth to talk enough about it to create the result of somebody inquiring, of somebody booking a call with you, of somebody going to the checkout page. So that is what I want you to think about for today is which offer do you want to go all in on for the next 90 to 6 months? 90 days to 6 months. Simplifying, decluttering, cutting down on that offer confusion. All right, that is your daily drop for today on finishing the rest of this year stronger than you started. I want to tell you that sometimes it can be really challenging and you might run into some snags looking at your offer suite and asking yourself, well, which thing should I be focused on? Right? Should it be this thing? Should it be that thing? You may run into some confusion as you try to pare it down. And this is where the, the, the, you know, this is where you will see the benefit of mentorship and of coaching and of being in a mastermind that helps you make that decision. That is what we do inside of sold out group programs. You don't have to do it all by yourself. If you're feeling really clear after hearing this podcast, you're like, I already know what to great, that's fantastic. But for a lot of you, you might be like, okay, I think it's going to be this thing, but I really want to bounce it off of somebody. I'd really like feedback on this. And okay, just because I pick my thing doesn't mean I know like I have a good marketing plan for it. How do I create the result with my simple offer? That is what we do inside of sold out group programs. So I really want to invite you to apply so we can have a deep dive about what your game plan should be. We can even do this on our next step sales call together. You have the chance to book that call with me where we can sit and figure out what this would look like for you. So you can go to stephcrowder.com mastermind to get your application in. Because our enrollment is closing on Friday, July 17, it has never been a better time to join the Mastermind. It's the time of year that makes it amazing. It's also the fact that we are having our first in person event together coming up in October. You get to come. As you know, only my clients get to come. And this is also the best price that I'm going to be offering for the mastermind. So don't wait. Get that application in. And I cannot wait to learn more about your business and have a chat with you. All right, that is it for today. I will see you very soon with episode number 200. And until then, I'm wishing you the courage and the clarity to go after what you love.
Title: (SECOND HALF SERIES) Too Many Offers, Not Enough Sales
Host: Steph Crowder
Date: July 14, 2026
In this insightful solo episode, host Steph Crowder dives into the common entrepreneurial dilemma of "offer clutter"—having too many offers and not enough sales. As part of her “Finish the Year Even Stronger” series, Steph zeroes in on why simplifying your offer suite is key to boosting sales and finishing the year stronger. She draws from her experience coaching entrepreneurs to illuminate the pitfalls of spreading your energy too thin and provides tangible strategies for creating focus, clarity, and momentum in your business.
Offer Clutter as Business "Junk Drawer":
Steph likens the accumulation of offers to a cluttered garage or closet, noting this is especially common with entrepreneurs in business for several years.
Quote: “It's like the garage you've been avoiding... you know which one I'm talking about, where you're like, yeah, things have gotten a little bit cluttered up in here.” (04:31)
Audience & Founder Confusion:
Too many offers confuse potential clients and lead to indecision (“paralysis by analysis”). Likewise, business owners themselves scatter their energy, diluting results.
“Too many offers really do create confusion for you and for your audience... they may just end up doing nothing, which is hurting your sales for sure.” (05:00)
Essentialism Framework:
Steph draws from the book Essentialism to illustrate how energy spread in too many directions limits progress.
“You could take that finite amount... and apply X across six different directions... it would go like a little bit in each direction vs. if you took that same X and applied it to one of those arrows, now that arrow is going so much further.” (06:42)
Short-Term Commitment to One Offer:

On the Illusion of Safety in Multiple Offers:
“More offers feel safer... but it performs worse, which is why you don't end up having any of the results in any of the directions that you've chosen.” (10:10)
On the Courage To Commit:
“When you have the courage and the discipline and the constraint to focus on selling one offer... this is how I see my clients go from having one client... to seven clients in two to three months.” (11:31)
Steph’s message is clear: Simplifying your offer suite is one of the quickest ways to boost clarity, sales, and satisfaction for you and your customers. Don’t be afraid to temporarily set aside the “safety blanket” of multiple offers. Focus, go big, and see just how far one powerful offer can take your business in the next few months.
Highlighted Quote to Remember:
“That is what I want you to think about for today— which offer do you want to go all in on for the next 90 to six months? Simplifying, decluttering, cutting down on that offer confusion.” (17:15)
