When I started podcasting, an online store was the furthest thing from my mind. Now I'm selling my group coaching on the regular. And it is just so easy. All because I use Shopify. I'm on this journey with me each week. When you join me, we are going to chase down our goals, overcome adversity, and set you up for a better tomorrow. I'm ready for my close up. Hi, and welcome back. I'm so glad you're back with me this week. Okay. So I really want to encourage you this week. I have been reflecting. I've been on a lot of flights lately, and I will tell you, it gives you a tremendous opportunity to reflect, to meditate. Right. To do all the things that you never have time to do. That's how I feel about it anyways, or that's how I try to use that time. And it's kind of amazing when you do that, you know what you begin to appreciate. I'm always trying to focus on what can I be grateful for in this moment, what can I appreciate in this moment? Right. And the more you train yourself, truly train your brain to think like that, the more you just wake up so fired up, so grateful, so excited for the unknown and what's to come. And that's how I definitely feel today. So I want to share with you, it has not always been like this, so. Right. And I want to remind you that a few years ago, there are things right now that you never knew were going to happen, that you prayed for, that you hope for, that you wish for, that you're living. And I just want you to take a minute and think about that. So for me, the pandemic was a really hard season for my son. Losing sports, his dog died. There were so many things going on. He was so lonely. He wasn't doing well in school virtually. You know, he had to go to. He had to go to an academic camp in the summer, which was a complete S show. You can't even. Oh, my gosh, you have to go back and listen to some of those episodes. When I shared what that was like, it was terrible. But it ended up being the biggest blessing. Right? And that's what's so cool. You can never connect the dots looking forward, you can only do it looking back. So whatever challenge you're up against, your family's up against, your kids are up against, your partners, you don't know. It could end up being the biggest blessing. And for my son, that time sucked with a capital S. However, it helped to shape him into the most amazing young man. And I never knew how poised, grounded, graceful, responsible, incredible, connected to Christ, how divinely led my son would end up being. And he is. And it's so wild. My son had this big homecoming event the other night, and our number one valet guy helps me out with him to make sure that, you know, something's going on. He takes him and, you know, whatever, I'm not here. And so he, too, took my son to this event while there was, you know, four other boys in the car my son's age. And it was funny. The next day I was talking to him and he said, wow, it's unbelievable how responsible your son is, how different he is than the other kids. He's so mature now when I tell you. I know that now. Yes. And I agreed with him and I said, I'm so proud of him. You know, he's such a great kid, and it's amazing. It was not always like that, right? I mean, he certainly still has his moments, but it really is true. He has grown so much in the last four years, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically, too. But it's just. It's incredible, and I never knew it would be this good. So my message to you is, take yourself back four years ago and think about all the things that you have today that you didn't know you would have. I didn't know I'd be living here right now four years ago. I am so grateful for where I live. I love it so, so much. I've. I'm in a building with the most amazing people. It's safe, it's beautiful. We're encouraged daily. We have such great space and energy, and it's so much better than where I was four years ago. And four years ago, I never even knew I'd be able to sell that condo. Right. And two years ago, we did. So you just don't know what's ahead of you. That's why you need to get excited. The best is yet to become, because it truly, truly is. And I just want to encourage you to remember that. To that end, I talk about my son a lot. I talk about moving a lot, because those have just been huge things in the last couple of years in my life that I've seen transform in such a short window of time. Didn't know they were going to happen. They were so positive and so unexpected, and I'm just so grateful for them. With that being said, there are other things. Good things take time. Great things can take a lot longer. Right? And sometimes you get frustrated and I've given a couple talks about this over the last few months because some of those good things that take time, great things take longer, have really started coming to shape and coming to fruition. And I want to share them with you because I don't want you to be discouraged. I know you're running for something, you're going for something, you've got a big goal and I want you to know it's just like that little seedling that's about to come through the dirt. It's about to break through. Don't give up. You just don't know how close you may be. And for years, I've worked on a couple different things. I've worked on a clothing line for qvc, a skincare line for qvc. I worked with Perry Ellis, I worked with multiple partners, I worked with Kim Gravel. You know, I have gone down the rabbit hole. I've spent a ton of time and money trying to launch these things. And wouldn't you know now that I was divinely led through another friend, another incredible person in my life, to my new business partner who's amazing, who has brands live on qvc and we're partnered in another startup. But now we meet and talk about what could it like if we did bring a product line to qvc? So now I've got the people in place. I've got the knowledge from the work that I've done over the last seven years to bring forward the clothing line, to bring forward the product line, and now I've got the person that was missing for a really long time. Did I know I was going to find this woman? Heck no. I didn't even know she existed. Right? I didn't know. I just kept moving forward, doing the next right thing, putting the work in, staying connected and supporting the people in my life that support me. Surround yourself with good people and watch good things start happening. You just never know. Add value to others and don't ask for anything in return. And watch how they show up with gifts like this for you. It's really been incredible. Meet a different guest each week. What does the future hold for business? Let getting dressed be one less thing to worry about. I asked you to try to find your passion, so I just want to encourage you. That's a seven year initiative that I've been working on that I'm just starting to see over the last two months potentially come to fruition. Wild, just unexpected and really, really exciting. Okay, so that's one. Here's the other one that I need to share with you because this one is really big and it already happened, right? So this one's done and it's, wow, mind blowing to me. So. Oh my gosh, properly, 30 years ago, probably, if not more, right? Probably when I was 20, early 20s, something like that, or maybe even my late teens, I don't know. At late at night, if you would watch TV and you couldn't fall asleep, you would see specials from Tony Robbins about personal development and blah, blah, blah. I would watch that stuff, right? Shocker, right? That probably shocks you. I'm joking. Okay? So I would watch those personal development seminars that he would do and I remember that. And I remember years and years and years ago thinking like, oh my gosh, I want to do what he does. I want to get on those stages, whatever. It was like a thought across my mind. Oh my gosh. Your thoughts become things, people. Be careful. Monitor your thoughts. Think about good things. Think about what you want to come to fruition. Think about your dreams, think about your beliefs and spend your time and your energy there knowing and believing those things will come to fruition. And I'm speaking encouragement into you right now because I am living it, okay? So I want you to live it too. Fact. And I had no idea any of this stuff would happen. So cut to. Must have been seven years ago when I got fired. I was in la. One of my dearest friends was in LA with me, helping take care of my son. I was giving a speech. We were not at a great venue. The AC was out. It was this big women's conference and it was like 95 degrees. And she looked at me and she made a joke like, we're in this rat trap right now. So you can give a talk to a couple hundred women. What the heck is going. Like, what happened? You know, I had just been a chief revenue officer of a big media company. She's like, what? You know, what are we doing? Kind of saying, heather, what? The trains off the tracks a little. And I didn't know what the future would look like. I knew, I felt called to speak. I knew that that was part of my purpose and why I'm here. You know when you just do something and you're like, I come to life. I know this is where I'm meant to be. That's how I felt. I didn't know anything else. And I said to her that day, I said, you know, one day I'm going to be on Tony Robbins stage. And she said, okay. She didn't say no. She said, okay, I don't know how we're going to get there. She said, I'll try to help you any way I can. I'd much rather be there than where we are right now. Because there was no AC where we were that day. But I just had this belief, and it was on my heart. Cut to. So that was seven years ago. And. Well, first of all, for the last seven years, I've spoken on literally thousands of stages. Thousands virtual in person, in Saudi Arabia, in Wisconsin, you know, in Boston, in Las Vegas, in Miami, in la, everywhere, right? No rhyme or reason, just knowing I need to put the reps in, I need hard work wins, right? Like, people don't want to hear that. Success leaves clues. You got to put the work in, put the work in, the reps count. That's how you get better. And I knew if I wanted to be the best, you got to put the reps in. So I was putting the reps in. I was showing up. And wouldn't you know, four years ago, when the pandemic hit, my speaking business was crushing it. I had just been named top 20 female speaker in the US in 2020. And my speaking business disappeared overnight when Covid hit cut to. Thankfully, I had a podcast at that point in time. Hello, you're listening to it right now. So we launched this podcast in 2019. Thank God. And a lot about the podcast is serving others, serving my listeners, hopefully. Hopefully, it does serve you. If there's ever a topic you want me to cover, let me know. I'm here for you. I will cover it. If there's a guest you want me to have, let me know. I'll go after them. But a lot of times it's serving my Guests too, because it's helping them support their book, launch their course, launch their event, launch their whatever initiative they have, elevating their brand. Right. A lot of hosting a podcast, when you bring people onto Interview, is adding value to and supporting them. And when you do that, sometimes great things happen. Sometimes nothing happens. Right. Sometimes you just keep it moving and you did it and you move on. Other times, miracles come out of it, but you don't really know. You just do it to serve and because you feel good about it and you think that you're doing something positive for others and you keep it moving. Well, four years ago, I met Dean Graziosi, Tony Robbins business partner, and he had a course he was launching called the KBB was a knowledge broker blueprint is what it was called. That was four years ago. So I was interviewing him. The pandemic had just hit. My business had literally disappeared overnight. Sound familiar to when I got fired at 43? Yes, it was very familiar. These low moments start becoming familiar and you're like, oh, wait a minute, I've been here before. I can bounce back from this. Right. So I do want to let you know, just like my son, during COVID once you've had a low moment, you found resilience within yourself. You found the ability to overcome it. You start remembering, oh, I've seen this movie before, I can do it again. You've been there before, you can do it again. So I knew that I'd get through it. I just didn't know how. And this is one of those miracles. And so Dean showed up on my doorstep, well, virtually on my computer. And we hadn't met before. We're talking off air. Cause that happens a lot with podcasts. And he said, I'm worried about you, I'm gonna give you this course. And that course was, I don't know, $5,000. And so he gave it to me. I jumped right into it. I immediately launched my first group coaching program from. I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't even know what group coaching was. I didn't know that the knowledge business, knowledge brokering business was a multi billion dollar business. I didn't know any of that. Right. Cause I just had my head down in the media business for so long. So wherever your head is down right now, pick your head up, elevate it. There's something you can teach, there's something that you can pull together to create community for others. You can create a side hustle just as easily and quickly as I created my group coaching, which now, for the last four years, has driven so much revenue for my business. I've launched masterminds, individual, one on one, coaching, consulting. The legs that have come out of that meeting with Dean have been incredible, and I'm so grateful for it. So to that end, we formed this friendship that day. I've had him back on the podcast many times. As you know, he's an incredible guest. He adds so much value, and he's light years ahead of me. So I love being in his sphere of influence. And I want you to be in his sphere too, because he's brilliant in marketing, he's brilliant in sales, he's brilliant in virtual businesses, he's brilliant in the knowledge brokering business. He's helping people create billions of dollars and driving revenue and making the world a better place by elevating others. Right? He is our people. Okay? So over the last four years, we've formed this friendship, and during this time, Covid lifted. Thank God. Oh, thank God. Okay. Thank God. Life is so much better. I will forever be grateful for that. Anytime I'm sitting in the airport complaining in my brain about waiting for a flight, I say, wait. I would so much rather be here right now than be stuck at home. So perspective is everything. Anyhow, I am so grateful for Dean. I'm so grateful for the friendship that we have. And the way I was able to form a friendship with him was to add value to him and to Tony. Now, mind you, of course he was adding value to me. He gave me that course which helped launch my business. But I've just always showed gratitude back to him. I've always supported him any way I could. Well, one day he and I were on a Zoom for another launch he was having or something, and I was having him on the show, or I was doing something to promote him on my social, and we ended up in a conversation and he said, heather, I just feel like there's a way for us to work together. And I said, so do I. Remember, spoiler alert, don't forget. I had been wanting to get on Tony Robbins stages for, I don't know, 30 years. And seven years ago, I'd been talking to one of my best friends about it. And here we were. This is probably three years ago that we were actually having this conversation. I had met him four years ago. So we're on Zoom. We're having this conversation. He's like, I don't know what this looks like. I just have this sense and feeling somehow we're supposed to work together. We're supposed to partner. And I said, I have the exact same feeling. And I did. It was a knowing and a feeling and I didn't know how it was going to come together. I didn't know what it was going to look like, but I just knew. So he said, just think about it and like, let's see where it could go. That was a little over three years ago. Well, a couple months after that, I got a call from his assistant. They set up another zoom. We got on another meeting. Next thing you know, I was flying out to Arizona to one of their virtual studios, which are incredible and mind blowing and next level. Okay. And they serve millions of people in these virtual studios and have the biggest speakers in the world. So they brought me out there, I did a course for them, they featured me in one of their magazines. I did some teaching for some of their different groups, some of their masterminds, which opened my mind to actually me having my own mastermind, which I then launched, this is a little over two years ago, which did incredibly well. I'm in my second mastermind now. Right. So I was learning things along the way by being exposed to them and being around them. They were giving me opportunity to teach and add value to their community. But I was getting featured too, which was helping me. Right. Like, it was definitely mutually beneficial. However, I never knew, like, is this gonna actually, you know, materialize into a revenue driver? Like, what could that look like? I didn't know. I just trusted them. I trusted that process. And I really didn't know. I just was stepping into the unknown and betting on myself. And so often we have to do that. We have to double down and like, go all in. It's what I did with LinkedIn, my social media, building my personal brand. I've literally spent hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last few years building my brand out, not knowing is this going to work out in the end? I don't know. I just think investing in myself is the best investment I'm ever going to make. And if I can help others, it's on me to do it. And now I need to figure out how to monetize it, how to bring this business forward. And wouldn't you know, these doors keep opening and these people start showing up and the solutions appear. You've got to trust. You just need to trust. God has a bigger plan for you. And when you believe it and you step forward, like you move forward in faith, you step forward even though you don't see the staircase, you take that first step as Martin Luther King Junior said. So you move forward just believing it's gonna unfold in front of you. And yes, it's incredibly scary at times, but you have trust. You have faith bigger than your fear. And that's what I want you to remember today. Your faith needs to be bigger than your fear, and it should be. And your belief in God is the cornerstone of that faith. At least it is for me. Maybe for you, it's the universe. I don't know what you call it. But hopefully you believe there's something so much greater and bigger than all of us out there and that it's guiding us to our destiny, our purpose, the reason why we're here. And allow yourself to be divinely led. It has not steered me wrong. It has not steered my son wrong. And I'm just. I'm so grateful for that knowing now. Okay, so with all that being said, I was back and forth. So I started going back and forth to Arizona. I don't even know. I probably haven't told you all of this because I didn't know how it was all going to unfold, and I didn't want to get ahead of myself. So I have been keeping this kind of quiet. Well, cut to last week. I was back in Arizona at Dean and Tony's studio, and I was speaking for an audience of over 100,000 people in my flip flops. And the funny thing is, now the team is like my team. They're my homies, and I love them. And they're amazing people. And Dean's incredible. And they brought me into. I literally know everybody out there now, right? The first time you go somewhere, I remember the first time I flew out there to actually film for the live event, and that one was for millions. That was this past summer. I was nervous, right? The first time you do anything, you're gonna be scared. But remember this. There's a fine line between fear and excitement. And the more we lean into being excited, the more we trick our body into we're excited. And the more we propel ourselves out to that stage, out to that next opportunity. And we did, and we killed it last time. Well, this time I wasn't as scared. Cause anytime you do something, the second time, the third time, the fourth time, it's not as scary. Anytime you spend and invested the time with the people in the team and you know them, it's not as scary because they're your champions. They're your people. They're your team. You're not running alone. So this time I was super excited. I actually didn't bring anyone from my team this time. And I just went by myself because I wasn't scared, I wasn't nervous. I knew what to expect. I was genuinely really excited. And I'll let you know, we got a standing ovation from the team when I got off and I was so grateful and so appreciative. Right? Like it. Good people make all the difference and make you just feel so secure. Because no matter how good of a speaker you are, no matter how many times you've done it, there is never a time in my life where I'm just like, oh, nailed it. Didn't miss a beat. Number one. Like, no. You always wonder when you're really in it, you want to serve others, you want to help others. You're questioning, like, oh my gosh, was that good enough? Like, I hope that was good. Oh my gosh, I think it was good. Was it good? Right? Like you, you need someone who is outside of it because when you're so in it, I don't even know what I'm saying sometimes, right? Like, it's just, it's wild. So I was so grateful for the team to support me the way that they did. And it was just such an incredible trip. Meet a different guest each week. However, one thing that I want you to know, I was out there for three days to actually be giving a talk for one day and be in meetings for one day, right? Like to travel from Miami to Arizona. There's not 25 direct flights a day, there's like two, and then they're sold out and flights are really sold out lately. And then the airports are crazy and there's just a lot happening right now. So it was a lot. It was a lot of travel, it was a lot of work. But I just want you to know that it was so worth it, taking that risk, doubling down on you, trusting your heart, trusting your instincts. You know, I've now partnered with these guys. We have so many events coming up now. We are working on so many different projects, and I'm just so excited. I didn't know 4 years ago any of this was gonna happen. So I want you to know, take a minute and be grateful for the things that have come to fruition in your life that you didn't know were gonna happen that are so great that you had been praying for. Be grateful for those things today. Just like I'm so grateful where my son is. I'm so grateful to live where I live now. I'm so grateful for this new partnership with Dean. I'm so grateful for these incredible experiences I've had that I didn't know were going to happen. And I'm super excited for the best that's yet to come. Because there is so much more to come. And I have no idea exactly what that's going to look like, but I just trust that it's going to unfold exactly the way God intends it to. And for that, I am incredibly grateful. So I just wanted to inspire you today, be encouraged. This week is gonna be incredible. I just know it. I don't know if you're on my instagram. I'm eathermonahan on instagram. I'm eatherMonahan everywhere. Like, I'm all over LinkedIn, I'm all over Instagram, Facebook, but a lot of times on my Instagram, stories I share Things that I can't share other places. Right? So I have this incredible book. It's called Jesus Calling. I wanna read a passage to you that really hit me today. I think it's so important. Do not expect to be treated fairly in this life. People will say and do hurtful things to you, things that you don't deserve. When someone mistreats you, try to view it as an opportunity to grow in your grace. See how quickly you can forgive the one who has wounded you. Don't be concerned about setting the record straight. Instead of obsessing about other people's opinions of you, keep your focus on me. Ultimately, it is my view of you that counts. As you concentrate on relating to me, remember that I have clothed you in my righteousness and holiness. I see you attired in these radiant garments which I bought for you with my blood. This also is not fair. It is a pure gift. When others treat you unfairly, remember that my ways with you are much better than fair. My ways are peace and love, which I have poured out into your heart by my spirit. Colossians 3, 13, Isaiah 61, 10, Romans 5, 5. Okay, I love that message. And I also love that message right now. Because we're in a window, a political season where people are not always being nice. They want to be. They want to be heard. They want it their way, they want it their candidate. When I think what we all need to remember is we need to be loving, we need to be forgiving, and we need to lead with grace. Don't react to what other people do this week. Respond with all the grace and class within your heart. Okay? So if you need some support. I don't know if I even mentioned. Oh no, you do know this. Cause I had Melanie on last week. All right, this is the last chance to get into my eight week bootcamp. If you join now, use the code Q1 for major savings. I only have a few spots left. You do not want to miss this. There is power in community. And guys, I'm sorry, this one is just for the ladies. It's just for women. 20 women are joining me and Melannie for eight weeks every Monday from 6 to 7pm live on Zoom. You're going to get my 30 day email accountability program. You're getting so much what Melanie's built out for. This is incredible. But you're getting us live every week.
