For the first guest of Season Five, Daniel is joined by the acclaimed choreographer, director, and creative visionary, Vincent Paterson.

Vincent’s remarkable career spans dance, film, and live performance, with a passion for storytelling through movement and visual expression.

He has worked with some of the world’s most iconic artists, including Michael Jackson and Madonna, helping to shape unforgettable performances that have defined modern pop culture.

For Michael Jackson, with whom he worked for over 15 years, Vincent appeared as a gang member in Beat It and as a zombie in Thriller, the latter of which he also served as an assistant choreographer.

Vincent created the Bad Tour, as worked with Jackson on projects like Smooth Criminal, The Way You Make Me Feel, Dirty Diana, Speed Demon, Black or White, as well as the iconic Super Bowl Halftime Show.

For Madonna, he directed and choreographed her iconic and controversial Blond Ambition Tour.

On today’s episode, Vincent shares insights into his processes and techniques as a creator, the collaborations he’s enjoyed with the entertainment's most celebrated talents of all time, and what it was like to be on set of Thriller.
