Neal is once again in the host's chair and starts off talking about 4th of July traditions (we want to hear yours!), getting the chance to meet one of his favorite actors, the heartbreak of a treadmill, and how his mind works on a daily basis.

When it comes time for the prompts, Neal is elated to talk about what he considers an underrated rom-com and just underrated film in general, Defending Your Life (1991), written, directed, and starring, Albert Brooks.

To kick things off, Neal talks about the early life of Albert Brooks, how influential he was on one of TV's most popular shows, his style of comedy, and why he's really, the unproblematic Woody Allen.

The episode even gets a little introspective and philosophical as Neal talks about the fact that a lighthearted conversational comedy can really make you think existentially and about your own life. Remember, don't live in fear. Try telling yourself that tomorrow.

Neal, as he's typing these show notes, also completely forgets to reveal the surprise he promised last episode, AGAIN, but he will reveal it next week. This time he double promises!
