The following podcast is a Dear Media production. Good morning, everybody. It is I, the baddest radio. I put the baddest in the baddest radio. And today I'm joined with none other than mabuhay.
B
It's Ms. K, period.
A
You are giving very much Philippine Airlines, girl.
B
Because. Because I miss the Philippines. And you know why?
A
Because we're. Oh, people thought I was going to the Philippines. Exactly. You guys including me, because Vogue Philippines posted this thing online because they're having like a Vogue thread thing, which I'm participating in, but people thought that I was speaking and attending it, but I'm like, I'm just zooming it. I'm literally just a online girly.
B
So we literally have a friend that goes to the Philippines all the time, and he's always there whenever we go to the Philippines.
A
Literally.
B
He texted me out of nowhere and was like, see you tomorrow.
A
Can't wait to see you. Yeah, I got the same tag.
B
And I was like, what do you mean? I was like, is did Brett is going to the Philippines without telling me?
A
No. So many brands and so many people that are my friends in the Philippines was also texting me. But no. But hopefully we will be back soon.
B
Yes.
A
Did you know they're changing the Philippine airline check in line in Hawaii now? I like to think it's because of me. I like to think it's because of me. Because last time I went to the Philippines, Chef Val graciously, like, let us in their office and.
B
And they. Yeah, they asked you a question like, oh, what should change about the Philippines?
A
What are your feedback on Philippine Airlines? And I was like, well, everyone's perfect. I feel like Filipino. There's no. There's no better thing than Filipino hospitality. I think, like, even hotels and, like, restaurants, when you go to the Philippines, they treat you with so much love, respect, and, you know, Filipinoness. But I told them, I'm like, girl, checking in on Hawaii airport in the Philippine airline literally makes me feel like.
B
I'm transported back to, like, 1998, girl.
A
Literally. It's like they had a red carpet that was not even red anymore with tape everywhere.
B
So it's like, still down.
A
The check in line is, like, made out of wood. And it literally looks like there's, like.
B
Termites eating it with the dinosaur computers.
A
With the dinosaur computers that are always down, like, no shade. But I was like, there's so much Filipinos coming out of Hawaii to go back home. And that is the check in line.
B
No. Yeah. It makes me, like, want to be like, Oh, I don't ever want to go to the Philippines if their check.
A
In line looks like that I'm saying any. Yeah, maybe I will be back home once y'all fix the check in line, bitch. Anyways, cute in the intro. Bratman to Earth. Earth to Bratman. Girl, you already know who it is. Oh my God, Mr. K. It has been such a long week.
B
Girl, I know as well. Especially for you.
A
Oh, that reminds me, I should probably read the Tea of the day already because I'm literally gonna probably forget and so I can talk about my week, the tea of the day. And I'm just literally going to read the entry that I had written down when I got back home. Hey, girl, I just got back from my New York City trip. It was so much fun. And on my first day I got facial from Ms. Christine Chin. And of course we had to hit up the Thai diner. And the disco fries never disappoints. Oh my God, girl, if you guys are in New York, go to Thai diner and get the disco fries. The next two days were spent in my new potential work office. Wink, wink. And I even got to see what the warehouse looks like. It was so awesome. I met so many kind and powerful people. And you know your girl is always charged up when I meet famous people. Like literally after that I got to check into my apartment in LA because I got everything makeovered. I was getting things like painted and I was getting new like furniture. So I had to check up in there. And I also wanted to break my ten hour trip into five hour trip.
B
Yeah.
A
But while we were scheduling pretty basic. And Two Faced was also kind enough to invite me to the Sabrina Carpenter concert. And you already know I had to go. I also got to hang out with ppg My Love island girlies. And they were so cutesy. Okay, keeper, I know you have so many questions and I told you to stop asking me because we had to save it for the pod. So what do you want to know? What do you want to know?
B
Because I was like, I was like scrolling to his TikTok and you guys, I don't watch his stories like that. All my friends watch his stories so they just be telling me like things. And he was like, they were like, oh my God, he's going to the Sabrina concert. And I was like, okay, cute.
A
That's when you text me, you're like, get merch.
B
Yeah, I was like, can you get me merch please?
A
I tell you why I didn't get you merch after. Because girl, there was no fucking line. Like, there was no merch store. Really. I couldn't find it. Well, where I was. We were in the suites. Because we were. And I was literally asking around where the merch stores were. The only merch stuff I saw was outside. Like, where the of, like, people just, like, selling it in, like, random trash bags, and, like, they open it up. And I was like, well, I didn't want to get you, like, fake Sabrina Carpenter. Fine merch. So. Yeah. But yeah.
B
I can't believe you met the ppg. You guys, I love them so much. I'm obsessed with them. Especially Leah. Hi, Leah.
A
My Tripoli.
B
I love her.
A
Well, you're the reason why I started watching Love island, and it's so funny that you got me hooked on the.
B
Yeah.
A
D.C. episode. Well, because you're always. You're such a, like, reality show girly. Like, you watch all, like, the love shows.
B
Yeah. Like, no offense to the first Love Islands USA seasons. Like, you guys were great, but, girl, this season stamped it.
A
I feel like this season really made Love island such a thing.
B
Yeah.
A
And I remember the first episode you made me watch was when Rob.
B
I think it was the Rob Leah.
A
Situation, and everybody was, like, kissing and making out, and I was like, okay, this is the show.
B
Yeah.
A
And then Miguel had just walked in on the villa. Like, girl. But that was my boyfriend. My summer era. Like, I miss summer. But anyways, how'd you meet them? So they were also invited by Two Face and pretty basic who are our podcast sisters. But it was so funny because Janae got there first, and I think Alicia was trying to introduce Janae to Remy, but me and Janae made an eye contact, and we literally just started talking about Hawaii and, like, was telling me about, like. Okay, I don't know if she wants me to share this, but I feel like I want to share it.
B
Yeah. Okay. Okay.
A
But when she told me that she saw me hiking one of the pillboxes one time, and she was like. I guess she was with her friends, and she was like, that was private.
B
That was private.
A
And then another time is when she saw us. She said she saw us. Like, oh, my God.
B
Wait, wait, what do you mean us?
A
She saw us? Because she mentioned you. She said she saw us in town. I think we were leaving, like, Cheesecake Factory.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
And she said that I guess she was with her friends again. And then she calls my name. She's like, Bretman. And it turns really quickly because she got shamed to, like, ask for a photo or, like, maybe not for a photo. But just, like, ashamed for, like, yelling my name out. It was so funny. And then we also were kikiing about, like, common friends that we had, because she had friends that were in track and field with me in Campbell.
B
She did track and field?
A
I think she did track and field.
B
Yeah.
A
But she said that she had common military friends that were, like, in military. That was in Campbell.
B
Campbell. Yeah.
A
And. Yeah. And then literally 30 minutes later, Serena and Leia got there, and I was. I felt, like, low key, like, such a snob to everybody else because everyone was asking me to take shots and, like, do drinks, but I was saying no to everybody, like, including Alicia and Remy. Like, I would never say no, but I was so jet lagged. Kiefer. Yes. Imagine, like, three different, like, time zones in one week.
B
Like. Yeah. And you had a flight the next.
A
Day, and I had the flight the next day. Like, girl. And I knew, even, like, the last time I was telling you, I had, like, two drinks at the Halloween party, and I got so whacked.
B
Yeah.
A
So I was just, like, saying no. But when Leah and Serena got there and they. I don't know if they had already lit, but they were like, turn, girl. And I was not about to disappoint them.
B
Yeah.
A
So they were like, let's. Let's take a shot. And I'm like, yes. So we take. And I don't know why, but that bar that we were in only served doubles, so if you had ordered a drink, you were gonna get a double. Yeah, if you ordered a shot, it was a double shot. So.
B
Girl, I think it's just LA that does that, I guess.
A
So Janae had ordered us all a shot. We all took care. That was when. In the Snapchat. In the Snapchat or Instagram story, I.
B
Literally screamed, you guys. I was like, how dare he not in. Like, not include me in this.
A
Girl, I didn't even know I was going to sponsor.
B
I was like. I showed that episode, and I was.
A
Like, you're like, these. He doesn't even deserve them. No, I. No, that's valid because I was, like, hanging out with them, and I'm like, I don't deserve this right now. Like, and.
B
But you fit right in. You were supposed to be the Bombshell girl.
A
I was. I was. I was. I was Nicole for the season because she's my Filipino sis. But what else? I had, like, a moment with each one where I'll just. Because if I literally share what every. What we did that whole night, this will be a whole fucking episode.
B
Yeah.
A
And I think I will get PPG here one day. So we'll manifest. So we'll discuss this bite for future episodes. But Serena and I ended up sitting next to each other on the bus, and the whole time we were cackling so bad. And, like, I don't know why. And also, it was so awkward because I guess Serena had seen, like, the. A clip of me talking about how I love her laugh so much. Yeah. Somebody tagged her on it, and she was showing me the video of me fangirling about her, and I'm like, serena, you don't. You don't understand. Like, whenever. If you're smiling, I'm smiling. If you're laughing, I'm laughing. She just has, like, that energy to me. Like, I don't know. But the whole time we were just cracking up in the back, like, talking about. I was like. Because you know how everybody kind of, like, dresses like Sabrina Carpenter. So the whole front row of the bus, all the girlies, which love. But I kept being like, mama, Sabrina Carpenter behind you. And then my moment with Leia, we were talking about just, like, being Leo sisters. I was helping them film Tiktoks, but it wasn't until towards the end, which you know how I feel about Miguel, girl. So, I mean, after the concert, we were like, we were wondering who won the fight with Jake, Paul and Mike Tyson. Yeah. And she calls and FaceTimes Miguel, and I'm literally, like, in the corner.
B
Like, I was like, oh, my gosh. It's like she's about to show me. She's about to show me.
A
Yeah. And before y'all try anything, my man's. No, I have a little crush on Miguel, so don't even try it, girl. But, yeah, that was real fun. Let me go back to New York real quick, though. New York was really fun. I guess the highlight of it, besides, like, the office meetings and stuff like that, which I will get to one of these days. I just, you know, I don't want to sound like 2018 influencers, but. Yeah, I can't talk about it yet. I can't.
B
But the excitement, I know, is going to be a big thing.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
But I don't know if you noticed, but I don't have a mole here anymore. I got it zapped, Kiefer.
B
Oh, my God.
A
I got a mole here zapped and a mole here zapped. Because they were getting bigger, and.
B
Oh, I kind of see the little.
A
Like, the little star.
B
Yeah.
A
And she was like, oh, do you want me to zap these and she was really miss. By she, I mean Ms. Christine Chan, who's like literally like that girl. The best dermatologist, esthetician in the world. I still don't know what the difference between dermatologist and esthetician, but regardless, she zapped my little moles in here and I just did it for fun. I didn't need to get it done. Yeah, I just wanted to talk about that girl. I don't know if you heard the news, but cotton pillowcases are so old news. I would say let me introduce y'all to Blissy, but I know some of y'all have already heard of Blissy before. If only you could see how glowing and refreshed my skin looked every morning, girl. Oh my gosh. It's truly my secret for a dewy, glowy and honestly, flawless hair. Like the silk really does help with my hair as well. I've been sleeping on my Blissy pillowcases and honestly, I just wake up looking like the goddess that I am. You know, if you haven't used silk pillowcases, then what are you doing? Lazy. A
Anyways, Ms. K, do you want to do the tea of the week?
B
Yeah, of course. Oh my God.
A
I'm like introducing Ms. T. Hi everybody.
B
It's my turn. So for the drink of the day, I made a caramel macchiato. Lactose free because that's the only thing that Brett has.
A
I also. I don't know why you keep making me the drinks, Kiefer.
B
I'm because I already. Because prior to this I like to like experiment. So I have to try it first. Yeah, I have to try it first for you to try it. But that one's just like a classic caramel macchiato.
A
Oh my God.
B
With like caramel and vanilla.
A
What I feel like I don't be minds don't taste like this when I.
B
Try to make it shots and lactose free milk Mm. Oh, and my tea of the week is about Miss Universe.
A
Wait.
B
Oh, sorry.
A
Can I just say, isn't this sweet? Espresso? Isn't that sweet espresso girl? We might just change your title segment to Miss K to Mia Espresso.
B
Mia Espresso. I'm working late because I'm a barista.
A
Yeah, she's working early.
B
But no, the tea of the week is Miss Universe. Did you watch it?
A
I didn't get to watch the full things. I did watch. Watch. Just like the highlights, girl. The Miss Universe pageant is like three days. Like, they do, like, the evening gowns and like, the costumes, the talents. Yeah. And then they do the actual pageant.
B
Yeah.
A
But congrats to Miss Universe. Denmark.
B
Congratulations. Oh, Miss Denmark. Juan, congratulations.
A
Beautiful. Beautiful. So beautiful. I guess Miss Philippines made, I think, top 12.
B
Yes. Yeah.
A
Which still. Congratulations. Yeah.
B
Because out of all the girls, top 12 is still a good thing.
A
Miss Chelsea Manalo is so beautiful.
B
She is.
A
Did you see her Tiana costume?
B
No, I did not.
A
He for open Instagram right now and look up Tia. Her Tiana costume. Miss Universe or pageants in general. I was talking. It's so funny that it just came on, but I was talking about this in my last meetings with my team about, like, how Miss Universe is so serious for us Filipinos. It's our. It's literally our Super Bowl.
B
Yeah. Like, oh, she ate that look.
A
So pretty.
B
Yeah.
A
And I also love that this year we have a dark skinned Filipino woman. Yeah.
B
Because a lot of Filipinos are dark skinned like her. And like, I feel like that needs to be represented somehow. Because I'm not even gonna get.
A
Because that is what we look like.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, literally.
B
Literally.
A
And I just love the fact that the, like, not that I was expecting Philippines to be so behind her, but I remember the last time, like, we had a dark skinned Filipino woman go for Miss Universe. And I don't think Ms. Venus Ra got the support that she deserved because she was also so beautiful because she.
B
Was like such a Filipino beauty. Like Morena.
A
Morena vibe. And I'm just so glad that we're so supportive of Ms. Chelsea Manalo regardless of the results.
B
Yes.
A
She ate up.
B
She did. She. She was like, actually, like, really beautiful.
A
Did you hear her story about how she. Well, not her story, but like, she was like a. She worked at hotel.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, she was like.
B
There was that one video that went viral that was like, oh, we got help from like, the Miss Universe of the Philippines before she even got famous from, like a hotel.
A
Yeah. And they were, like, videoing how pretty she was. Right. With that being said, Ms. Chelsea, you ate up.
B
Yeah, well deserved, girly pop. Oh, and I just want to talk about their crown, because they're made from Ms. Jewelmer Jewelmer, which.
A
Oh, my God.
B
Hey, Ms. Jewelmer.
A
Hey, Ms. Marion.
B
Hey, Ms. Marion. You guys ate that crown up.
A
Tell them about Jewelmer.
B
Jewelmer is a jewelry company in the Philippines that makes specifically for gold pearls. Yes, in the Philippines.
A
South Sea pearls, which are pearls that have more of, like, a golden. I'm wearing it today, actually, which is so weird wearing it, but it's so cute. Gold, like, little pearl thing. And you want to tell them about Flower island and all that?
B
Yeah, Flower island is amazing. Oh, my God. I want to go back. They did this little dance when we were leaving, but prior to that, they did a dance again when we were coming in, and it was just amazing.
A
Flower island is owned by the Jewel Mer family, and they.
B
They bought it from a French guy.
A
Ye.
B
Yeah.
A
And then that's where they basically, like, farm gold sea cows. And we were, like, educated on them, but we also got to stay on the island for a couple of days with my team. It was just.
B
It was amazing. We. We each one of us got our Each bungalow, and I was like, this is crazy.
A
They literally closed down the entire island for us, which. The island itself was literally like a small rock in the middle of the water. But still, it was such a privilege to, like.
B
The food was amazing. That was the first time I've ever tasted pearl meat.
A
Pearl meat?
B
Yes. It's so good. It tastes like scallopy. Scallopy. Yeah.
A
But it has, like, scallop, like, a.
B
Texture of, like, a squid.
A
Yeah. We also had it prepared both ways. We had it, like, kilowin style, which is, like, raw. Raw, and then a cooked style, which it was so good.
B
Yeah, yeah. And the grilled one, that was really good.
A
Well, do you remember what makes the pearls golden?
B
I think it's the ocean.
A
Yeah, the warmth.
B
Yeah, the warmth.
A
The temperature, which is so cool, because in the beginning times when they first discovered, like, the South Sea pearls, it was cheaper.
B
Yeah. I was just gonna say that. They're like. They said that the gold pearls were, like, very. Not, like. Like, because of the white pearls was still a thing.
A
Yeah.
B
So they thought it was weird that it was gold. So they didn't really care for it until now.
A
Until the Filipinos, like, was like, no, it's beautiful. Yeah. And then it's so beautiful that it is now the Crown for Miss Universe.
B
And it's under a thousand dollar bill, literally in the back. One of the most beautiful bills I've ever seen in the world.
A
Mm. So, yeah, congrats to Julmar. Congrats to Chelsea Manalo. And congrats to Miss Universe Denmark. Yes.
B
Congratulations, Ms. Denmark.
A
You really ate up. Is that all you wanted to talk about? Is that all the tea of the week for you? I wonder what the Miss Universe question was this year.
B
Should I look it up?
A
Yeah, we should each. We should both answer it. Did you also see the first runner up, Miss Nigeria?
B
No.
A
Oh, my God. Nigeria, you are up first. Okay. Miss Universe has inspired generations of women. What is your message to the ones.
B
Watching you right now? What is your message for the ones watching you right now?
A
Thank you so much, Ms. K, for that very beautiful question. And thank you so much, Mabuhay Irina. My message for the ones watching me right now is that I honestly don't think you guys should be listening to my message. I think you should listen to your own message. You should march through the beat of your own drums because there's nothing I could say that truly is any different than what you probably already realize. So, yeah, real eyes realize real lies.
B
What? Realize, realize, realize.
A
Yeah, no keeper.
B
Realize, realize, realize real eyes. Yes.
A
Realize, realize real lies.
B
Oh, what?
A
And all that just to say real ass bitches can see through the bullshit. That's what that.
B
Wow.
A
Because real eyes realize real lies. Okay, don't. Fuck it.
B
No, I'm not gonna say anything. I realize it now.
A
Steve. Exactly. Because you have real eyes.
B
Thank you. Yeah. Wow.
A
That was.
B
That really spoke to my, like, soul, like, oh, my God. Wow. That was amazing.
A
Thank you so much.
B
We'll be right back.
A
And yeah, cue, cue the ab, bitch.
B
I'm like, how am I supposed to go after that?
A
And we're back. Thank you so much. Welcome back to Miss Universe 2024. Up here we have Miss Universe Philippines. Philippines 2024.
B
Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you.
A
Your question is what is your message for those that are watching right now?
B
Oh, my God. Thank you for that question, your honor. So, like. Yeah, I'm not. Okay. I would like to say that if you're watching me right now, I am so sorry because I have nothing to say. I have nothing to say. I have nothing to say, period, but look in the mirror and see the future.
A
Exactly.
B
Yes.
A
And if you don't like your reflection, realize reality. And. And we'll go to break period. So that was Ms. Tea and the tea of the week.
B
Thank you so much.
A
Now let's get to the nitty gritty of what today's episode is really about. Yeah. Because, bitch, I don't know how the hell. We're already halfway through the episode and we still haven't even talked about what we're gonna talk about today. Okay, guys, so this week we wanted to give you guys a gay gift giving advice or gay gift giving guide. A GGG. Gay gift giving guide.
B
Okay. Okay.
A
GGGG.
B
GGG. Four G's.
A
Yes, four G. And Ms. K and I prepared some affordable gift guides, a more expensive gift guides, and some DIY gift guides for you guys.
B
Well, I did. We didn't prepare. It was just more of like. Oh, an idea of it.
A
Yeah, girl. Don't think we were stressing out too much. It's merely kind of like things I know that I've been using a lot. Things that I know I would appreciate if someone got it for me.
B
And things I want.
A
Exactly. Things that you want. Kat also helped us out today. And so some of these are provided by Kat. Yeah, provided by Kat, who is my assistant. Yours, surely, duh. Ms. K, would you like to start us off?
B
Yeah. Okay, so which one should we go first?
A
One of. I think we should do the more expensive ones.
B
Okay.
A
Get that out of the way because I only have like maybe 2, 3. So let's get that done. Okay. I also wrote it down. My journal too.
B
So one gift that I feel like everyone should get is the drone that you just got.
A
Bitch, I hate you. That is literally my thing.
B
Yeah, I went first. Show me the product, please.
A
Period. It's called hover air.
B
You guys, it's amazing. I feel like now this is like so useful for nowadays for like travel. Traveling and like just your everyday thing.
A
I like it because I found it on TikTok shop and. Well, that's not why I like it. There was this ad of this lady, like, she's older, obviously. And I was like, okay, if that lady can figure it out, I can figure it out. Because I had drones before and I just.
B
The complicated ones. Yeah.
A
Control it. Like, girl, I've crashed two drones in my life. Yeah, it's not fun. But this one doesn't go too far high. It like, literally just connects with your phone. It's so easy. You can tell it what to do. You can do like a little orbital, a little like bird's eye view even.
B
Yeah, it's so cute. I was like, wondering if you could like put like a Bluetooth mic with that.
A
No, I tried it doesn't connect well. I can connect it to my.
B
It.
A
It connects to your phone.
B
Yeah.
A
So while it's connected to your phone, you can't really, like, record.
B
Oh, you.
A
So you'd need a second phone. And, like, at that point, I'm like, girl, I might as well just.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
So, yeah, yeah.
B
So that was one of my idea. Because I was really one of your idea, bitch.
A
You literally.
B
Well, I saw it on your Instagram, and I was like, that would be a great expensive gift. Because I looked it up and I was like, 300.
A
It's, like 400 gr. But I was saying the only downside to it is that the battery lasts around, like, 10 to 15 flights.
B
Yeah.
A
So get the one where you can get, like, battery packs. I have, like, two extra batteries with mine. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
Okay. That's cute. Okay, what's your idea?
A
My first idea was, well, this is not really, like, that expensive, but I think it could be really expensive. But you know how, like, the boo. Booze and mystery boxes are really in right now. They're just in my expensive list because they are expensive for what they are. But if you guys have, like, kids from, like, the age of, like, 13 to, like, 18, get them a Labubu girl. Get them, like, a sunny angel this Christmas. It's an easy gift thing to get them.
B
There's so many people asking for sunny angels, and I'm like, like, literally, that's an easy gift.
A
It's such an easy gift.
B
And it's cute figurines to have. Oh, one more thing. And I think it's like, a classic gift. It's like, jewelry.
A
What kind of jewelry?
B
Like, gold jewelry.
A
How does one get. Be more specific, like, for your loved ones.
B
I feel like you can get them, like, a gold bracelet or, like, a gold necklace just to have for, like, as an expensive gift.
A
Yeah. This is not really, like, my. My on the list, but I think, like, I've been seeing a lot of, like, Pandora bracelets.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
They're coming back. And, like, I. It's so cute. I kind of want to get my mom for Christmas and, like, just have her, like, collect, like. Yeah, Something. A charm each time. I don't know. I think that's really cute. If you guys are looking for a more affordable alternative and want to support local. I think Ocean's Creation also does, like, something similar. Like, do, like, little charms with your loved ones and stuff.
B
Yeah, Yeah. I just think jewelry is, like. You can never go wrong with a jewelry gift.
A
I think also, like, just like little crystal bracelets you can get someone is.
B
Really crystals would be cute gift. I love getting crystals those for like as a gift. It just means more because I feel like they were like oh my God, this person needs it. And I'm like oh cute period.
A
My next one which is something that I just love getting because I love their products all the time. Is anything that's Dyson.
B
Dyson.
A
Dyson is very like such a girly pop gift.
B
It is.
A
I have the. I just bought the air straight which is like a hair straightener that you can use on wet hair. I'm not really sure if it's like good for you but I mean anything.
B
It's like an air dry kind of.
A
It dries your hair while it's straightening it which I don't know if that's healthy for your hair but it works for me and I use it today.
B
I feel like it's just like blow drying it and like using like you know, like a hairbrush to straighten at the same time.
A
Yeah, yeah. Well that's two. That's two things. Yeah, but then it's just one. Yeah, yeah. I also would love like the air wrap. Like I know that's something that I use all the time. Like the area.
B
Yeah.
A
But a cheaper alternative for that. I got it from TikTok shop which anything that I'm talking about today, I'll link them down below my Amazon front as well. But TikTok shot is really that girl.
B
It is. I want to get that that hair clip extensions next.
A
People were asking me how I got the hover thing because it doesn't ship to Hawaii.
B
Really?
A
You guys. If you guys ever see me playing with something that doesn't ship to Hawaii, just know I shipped it to my apartment and I had my assistant ship it here. Ok. Okay. So don't. So don't think I paid for that extra shipping. Well, technically I kind of did.
B
Y cheaper.
A
This is from Tymo Beauty. It's the airflow hair straightener and curling iron. It's really cute. It's like. And it's $40 and it's $40 and it has a black. I. I'll link it. But it's so good. I used it on my trip to this last trip actually. It was just. I just needed like a couple play time with it because I wasn't used to like using like a curler. Even when I use curlers I use a straightener to my hand.
B
But I feel like that's such like a traveler handy. What is that called? Like a handy dandy traveler kit.
A
Yeah. Travel size.
B
Like, because it has a straightener, a curler, and, like, it dries your hair. Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
Wow.
A
It's cute. Okay, what about you? What is your last expensive gift?
B
Oh, a cute perfume would do it. I love a good perfume.
A
Ooh, let's. Let's list our favorite. Let's list a couple favorites that people.
B
Can probably check out from, like, the expensive aisle.
A
Well, yeah, maybe we can start expensive. Okay. And get like.
B
Well, my perfume is by Parfum de Marly. It's the Villara one. It smells so good on me.
A
What does it smell like? Tell them the notes, girl. You can't just be like, it smells good.
B
It's. I don't know how to explain it. It's like one of those, like, extinctive smell where, like, it changes on you. So it depends on you on how you smell. Sometimes it smells, like, very floral on me, but with, like, a little bit, like a. Like, a musky scent.
A
So. Yeah, it smells like that one that you just got. It smells like the apogee from LV that you used to wear, like, around that. You love scents like that.
B
I do, because it always, like, every time I use a scent, it turns into floral scent. I don't know how or why baccarat.
A
Would smell so good on you. Oh, my gosh. But I just discovered this one perfume from Bond Nine. Bond Number Nine.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
It's the Tribeca one. It's the perfumes that are shaped like a star. Yeah, I know you've seen them like, Nordstrom. But the Tribeca one smells really, really good. It smells like it has nods to, like. Yeah, that I really like. Montau Rose Musk. Rose Musk.
B
Or like, I usually get the Siberian lion or something like that. It's really good. It has, like, a musky smell to it as well.
A
I like also Montal Intense Cafe.
B
Intense Cafe.
A
But I think my nose is, like, blinded from that now because every time I. I wear it, I don't smell it. Yeah, yeah, that. And I just keep, like, sneezing. I'm like, am I allergic to it now? Because you know how I used to, like, drench my body in that?
B
Like, it literally smells. I could smell him from, like, 20ft away sometimes.
A
Get it and wear it. I can't wear it anymore, though. I just, you know, I used to wear that. That was, like, my signature scent.
B
That was, like, everybody's signature set at one point.
A
Something that I've been loving. And they're fairly new in the perfume world is the Balmain perfume. They just came out in September, but they sent me a BO bottle in June this year.
B
Yeah.
A
That I just used up. They made, like, 800 exclusive bottles and sent them out for, like, a secret, like. Okay, like, don't talk about it. And then it came out in September, and I literally ran out of it. But my favorite one is the Carbone.
B
Oh, I think I heard of the Carbone.
A
You've smelled it on me, for sure. But it has.
B
Isn't there, like, another brand called Carbone?
A
No. Car. When I think of carbon, I think of carbon in your NYC where we had that pasta.
B
Oh, remember the C, A, R, B, O, N, N, E?
A
Yeah.
B
Is that the place? The pasta place? Oh, my God. I thought it was, like, a perfume.
A
I hate you. You're like, that's. That's the one that smells like tomato sauce.
B
Tomato sauce. Oh, my God, that place. So dark. For no reason.
A
So dark. But it would. The food was so good.
B
So good. Yeah.
A
But getting the appointment for it was not it.
B
I know when they were telling me about how, like, the waitlist of that, and I was like, oh, so we're just gonna, like, walk in, get sitted and, like. And, like, his stylist was like, oh, I know the owner. And I was like, perry.
A
Also, I've been loving Sticky Dates because Leia posted about it on Sticky Dates. Sticky Dates. It's a Lush scent. It has. It's like very.
B
Like an actual date.
A
Well, no, it's like, the scent is just called Sticky Dates. I'll have you smell it later. You're going to love it. If you guys are looking for a cutesy fall set, I'm sure if you guys are watching me, you've already known. But, like, Leia posted this scent from Lush. She uses the body shampoo. Not body. The body wash. And then the lotion on top. Leia who, bitch? Leia from Love Island.
B
Leah.
A
Oh, sorry, Leah. Oh, my God. Why are they saying no? Because you started talking about Brian, and I was like, leia. Anyways, Leah was wearing it and where is it? And I had to buy it because, you know, that's my Leo.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. It smells so good, Kiefer. But you're not a gourmand girl. You like, like, sweet stuff.
B
I don't like sweetie Stu stuff. I feel like ants is gonna come attack me or something.
A
I love and appreciate those people that don't like gourmand scent because some people think it's, like, an offensive scent. Like, people hate yeah, the sweet scent. But I love it because I like smelling like a girl.
B
Yeah.
A
Well, not a girl.
B
Or they usually say, like, I love smelling delicious.
A
Yeah, it smells like.
B
Yeah, like you want to eat me up kind of thing.
A
Very much that. So those are some of my favorite perfumes right now. Just for the expensive ones. This is more for, like safety. But also I'm just chronically so much online. I don't know if you saw that video of it. It was in New York where the guy, like backed up into the girl and was basically doing like a scat. Like a. Oh, like insurance.
B
Yeah, those. Insurance fraud.
A
Yes.
B
Yeah.
A
You saw that video, Right.
B
And I've been wanting to get a camera just because of that.
A
So I haven't installed it yet, but one of my cam, one of my cars, I have three. Doesn't have a. Yeah. Dash cam. And I think if you guys are looking for a gift for anybody that has a car and you care about their safety, like grandmothers, fathers, people who like literally work every day.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
Or maybe even just like a first time driver. I'm sure I would have appreciated this when I was 16, 17, and just knowing that I have this. Or if you have like teenagers who are starting to drive, like, and. Yeah, like, you know, when I take care of that, get them a dash cam. I got this from is the exact dash cam that the girl was using on the video. Because I was reading in the comments, it's the Beofo 8229 Plus. And I'm going to install it after this video, so don't even try me, bitch. But I just want to let that out, Put that out there. But also, you know, they caught the guy that like literally does that. Yeah, they caught the guy that was in the video because apparently he went back home. I don't know where it was. I think it was in Colombia or.
B
Yeah. Somewhere in South America.
A
Yeah. He went back home for a month and thought like it was gonna die down.
B
Yeah.
A
And his ass got arrested like at the airport. At the airport, I think.
B
Dumb bitch.
A
I'm like, girl, a month is crazy. I'm like, I would have just vanished.
B
I would have just stayed at my hometown.
A
Yeah. Knowing, like, the whole Internet is looking for me. I'm gonna just vanish, bitch.
B
And knowing he probably did that like several times. So he probably got the money. I would have been like, yeah, I'm going to stay home.
A
Exactly. Because what were you going to do? Come back to America and do it again.
B
Yeah.
A
What? Anyways, Ms. K, let's move on to the more affordable things in life.
B
Okay, so a more affordable bitch.
A
Not you looking at my notes.
B
Oh, sorry. I thought it was for the both of us.
A
This is not group working for. I give you your own assignment, bitch.
B
Okay, fine. One of the most affordable things, I think it's. My mom said that never give this shoe because it's like a bad thing. But I'm always like, I want that gift shoe. Yes.
A
Ooh. What?
B
Because she was always like, don't ever give them shoes because you're making them feel like they're stepping all over you. It's very deep because you know how, like, you use it for.
A
She's turning into an anti gift.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
Don't be getting me no fucking shoe.
B
But then I always ask for shoes, especially Brett. It's like the easiest gift.
A
I've gotten new shoes before. I think every year. Not every year, but no, literally every year. Oh, wait, no. The last two, three years you've asked.
B
Me for shoes because that's all I want. And I'm like, I want heels.
A
She just wants a Steve Madden gift card. Girl.
B
Yeah.
A
Okay.
B
I feel like shoes is like, you can never go wrong with shoes. Everybody needs shoes.
A
I agree.
B
Yeah.
A
I think it's just like so hard to pick out shoes for someone because, like, their taste especially. I know you've returned some of the shoes that I gotten you because you're like, well, no, someone picked it out.
B
I didn't mean to. I was just like, wow, these are very nice for other people.
A
Yeah. So if anything, get them a shoe gift card because that's what most of my gifts turn into, gift cards. Yeah. But yeah, I think shoes is really great. It's just like you have to know the person.
B
Yeah.
A
What kind of shoes they're liking.
B
Boys are easier.
A
Just get them a workout Nike shoe. Like Free Runs girl. Or like, no, any Nikes or like Jordans for me Just because these are my favorite things that Ms. K ever got me. I loved when you got me a journal because you're really like the main reason why I started journaling so often. Because you got me a cute journal. So get someone like a journal that reminds you of them. That's the key. Like, they will only write on it, like, as long as for me, like, I only write on it because it's cute and it reminds me of, like, me.
B
Yeah. And it makes you want to write on it.
A
It makes me want to write on it. It makes me feel like, I don't know, like I'm from the 2000 and not the thousands. I'm like from the 1900s and I'm like crossing the sails and I'm like writing about my discoveries. Like just landed in this land. Like very Columbus.
B
It's giving like very scientists in the forest.
A
Yeah. You know, very much like, oh, this was like. Never mind. I was gonna say like this was God's journal. You know how they found the Bible?
B
Giving.
A
Biblical. Yeah, yeah, it's giving. And I will also say like a gallon of water. I love these two. If you see her, you see her. Like these are like main me. Like if I ever made like a Bretman rock kit, it would need a journal. And this because I'm always with these two.
B
And like cute little like add ons of the journals. Like cute little pens. Like colored pens would be so cute.
A
Mm. Okay. What is another one for me, Ms. King?
B
Another one would be like, I don't know, maybe you'll ring up something.
A
Yeah. Something that I've been loving and I get it every time I go to like Walmart, Target or Costco is Dang.
B
You brought everything.
A
Lego sets. I love building Lego sets, girl. It's like literally my favorite pastime. Especially if I know I have like time to kill or if I'm like watching something and I need something in the background. And I know it's not just. I know Legos has like like very childish vibes to it. Like you don't even have to get it for kids. Like girl, get it for like adults. Like if you grew up in like the 2000s and know know anybody that millennials, they would appreciate like a Lego set. It helps me so much with like anxiety. It helps me like puzzles slow down. And my boyfriend actually started building Lego sets for the first time with me. Like he never used to build a cute bond.
B
It's like a cute time passing activity.
A
It's just a cute, it's really cute date idea too. If you guys just don't know anything to do. Just build a set.
B
Oh, just like you two just building a saying. You're like, oh my God, look what I felt.
A
Yeah, like, yeah, I'll do bag one. You can do bag. Yeah.
B
Oh, that's so cute.
A
Exactly. Ms. K. What else does he have on that side that I don't really have much.
B
I'm like, I like how you said, oh, we didn't really prepare for this. Girl. Tell me why he has an old basket over there.
A
Okay, what is your next thing then?
B
A flower. Like any plants would be so cute. Oh, I actually, like, a cactus plant would be, like, amazing.
A
I actually had that on my other list on the DIY is a potted plant. A very simple potted plant formula that I like to follow is I get a cutesy white pot and I fill it up with two or three plants. And a lot of plants that go well together are bromeliads, calatheas, orchids, and anthuriums. So you could get like a bromeliad, an orchid, and maybe like, an area and put them in one pot because they all kind of, like, thrive together.
B
Yeah.
A
These are plants that, like, have, like, thicker roots so that they don't, like, really compete. And, like, I've had the same potted plant for the past three years now that my assistant got me for my birthday when I turned 22 or 23, and it's still there. We've never changed the soil. And now I just like to make plants like that. Like, plants like that. Like, and I posted about it in my story. But, yeah, just make a cute, like, little potted plant for someone. That's so cute.
B
That's so cute. I like, I would want to get.
A
A plant, but your ass would not take care of it.
B
No, it just dies every time.
A
Some people have a green thumb.
B
No. You know what's so funny? We went to a trip one time. You gave me, remember? You gave me a plant. It died right away. Two days later, it died, and then we went on a trip. I forgot about it. A week later, come back, there was a full ass new plant.
A
Yeah. Oh, wait, I didn't even give it to. You were, like, helping me.
B
Yeah.
A
And then you're like, can I have this? Yeah, yeah, exactly. Is it still with it? Okay. I was like, is she still with us today? It died, period.
B
I just have a brown thumb. I guess even my mom has a green thumb. Every, like, my siblings has green thumb but me.
A
That's fine.
B
It's fine. It's not for me, you know? Yeah.
A
T for thumb.
B
Fee for thumb.
A
Yeah.
B
I feel like another one would be, like, a cute painting.
A
Ooh. Paint something for someone. That is so cute. I got a painting. Wait, can I show y'all this painting that I got from Rin?
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
Let me go get it real quick.
B
It's a big ass painting.
A
Oh.
B
Because it's, like, nude. It's Adam and Brett.
A
So this is a painting that I got from my friend Rin, and she painted this for me. Like, it's so pretty. Like, that's me in red. Like, and That's Adam in blue. Like, holding me. Like, girl, paint something for your loved ones. Like, trust me, it's such a cute C idea.
B
Like, okay, so another one. What would be your other one?
A
I love, like, mugs. Cute. Like, if you know somebody that collects or if, you know, if you're getting a gift for someone and you know what they collect. Yeah.
B
Especially coffee drinkers.
A
I love, like, I love when people enable me on, like, my little addictions. Like, if somebody got me, like, Sunny Angels, I'm like, you support me.
B
Yeah. And my craziness. Yeah.
A
I collect mugs. And, like, whenever somebody gets mugs for me, I'm like, you see? You see me, you see me. So mugs, like, even. Just, like, mug in general. Like, I feel like every time I use a mug, there's a story. Well, especially the mugs that I pick out for my things. Like, each mug that I have has a story. Whether it's like, oh, this was somebody that's like, this was Kat's sister when she came here. This was my nail girl. Like, this was when I went to Disney. This is when we went to New York. Remember I got a mug in New York.
B
New York 1.
A
Empire State Building.
B
Yeah.
A
It's like a mug. Like, I love a good mug.
B
And low key. This is off topic, but Brett is like, one of those the easiest people to buy gifts for, but sometimes the hardest. So I just literally, sometimes look at your Instagram. Like, what is he into right now?
A
What is like, this bitch's, like, thing.
B
Yeah.
A
At this moment. Like, literally. And just support it. Like, literally when I was into plants. Get me plants. Now that I'm into, like, like the sewing.
B
Give me a sewing cat or like, sewing kids. Yeah. Just.
A
Just support someone's, like, addiction. Honestly. Like, yeah, that's. Unless it's like, drugs, obviously. Like, don't do that. Okay. The next one is more like DIY or like, things. It's just like.
B
Yeah.
A
Which is more personal. And some of these I had, which.
B
I actually like, sometimes love more.
A
Oh, for sure. And it's like I said again, it's like the memory of it.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
Some DIY ideas. I'm just going to run through them. It's more like kits that I. I would make for someone. Like a sleeping kit for someone would be really cute if you got them, like a bonnet, a sleep set. Like a entire, like, pajama set. Like a holiday themed one. Maybe. I know, like, there's always, like, good ones at Old Navy for sale or like, TJ Maxx. Is for sale. And like a room slash pillow spray. I love, like, the lavender pillow spray, but I also been loving, like, the TikTok shop ones. The one that smell like different things. Like, I think it's called, like, Maverick Perfumes. I'll link it down below. But they have, like, really cute room sprays, and I thought that would be cutesy, like, to set someone.
B
Do you spray that before you go to bed?
A
Yeah, you spray it on, like, my linen. Yeah, it's cute. Another kit that you can make someone is like a bath kit in here. I put. Get them a robe, a headband, and like a bath bomb of your choice. And like, put it in a little basket. Like a little like, spa kind of as a gift. Like spa. DIY spa gift. And like, put a face mask in there. Like, like lip scrubs. Body scrubs. Yeah. You know, and the last thing that I had in here is a travel girly set. I've made these for, like, my older cousins before.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
But I got them each a weekender bag from base because that's always very handy, especially in Hawaii.
B
Like, everybody loves a good baby.
A
Cute, like, beach bag as well.
B
Yeah.
A
A cute bag tag that you can DIY for them. And then a sweatset. Like sweats, like, you know, airport vibes.
B
Yeah, no, I was gonna say like, gift basket. Like a customized gift basket where you can like, customize the things that a.
A
Person likes or DIY everything in there.
B
Like, a good one would be like, if you're giving a gift to a couple, you can give them like a movie night basket where there's like a bunch of popcorns. Like gift cards for, like, to buy movies on their. Like their tv. Cause, you know, nobody use DVD nowadays. And like a cute blanket, you know, for them, for them to share.
A
That is so cute.
B
In like, a cute. Like those picnic basket.
A
Yeah. I feel like we've talked about all kinds of people besides kitties, and I feel like I'm always getting kitty stuff.
B
Kitties, like kids.
A
Kids toys and stuff like that. What would you get Cleo E. Or Peyton?
B
I would honestly get them remote control cars.
A
Yeah.
B
Because to this day, I still play with those. I just. There's some. Have you seen the one that's like, on TikTok where it goes on the wall and the ceilings?
A
No, but send it to me and I will buy it.
B
Okay, I will. Because it literally, like, it's just like a remote control car, but it goes to the ceilings and, like, the wall.
A
I feel like buying toys for the kids of this generation is so hard. I feel like with our generation you just got whatever was like on tv.
B
Yeah.
A
But now they all want like really Roblox gift cards. Gift cards. Like, it's so weird. Yeah, I got Cleo. Just a bunch of like hello Kitty stuff. Not hello Kitty, but like for her birthday I got her like a box full of just. No, she likes cinnamon roll.
B
Yeah, yeah, cinnamon roll.
A
I was just like bought her like cinema roll merch about her cinema role. Everything. Yeah, it was everything. And she's like how you were with.
B
Like, you know, like you said you support, like just support like what they like.
A
Yeah, like Dayton. I would just give her makeup, honestly.
B
Yeah.
A
Like that girl is 18 in her head.
B
Just lipstick. A bunch of lipstick. Red lipstick would be great for her. Another one would be like Easy Kill.
A
I would get a wig. I would give Easy Kill wig, the sadness wig. Because he wanted that sadness wig so bad when he put that wig on.
B
That little kid deserves a long hair. He deserves it. He.
A
I feel like he's gonna want like a big mohawk one day or like a melody. Yeah, he has a face for it.
B
I miss his bald head though.
A
I know. Bald.
B
Yeah.
A
Bald headed. He is so funny. He's so cute. Do you have any last minute DIY ideas?
B
Because you. I said the painting, the gift baskets. Oh, yeah. Bake. But I don't bake really quickly.
A
I want to feature a couple of local stuff. So every year I always kind of make like Hawaii local gift boxes for all of my team members. That's including like my business managers, my agents, my stylist in New York and my queen.
B
Yeah, he did that last year.
A
Lindsey, my other assistant in la. Lindsey. And I just make them like local kind boxes of like just things that I love in Hawaii. And some things that I feature in there are like scrubs, like body scrubs. And some of these I find in like farmers markets or just like local stores. Honestly, something that me and Kat has been loving is this brand called Malama soaps. They make all kinds of things, but we get the nectar and blossom body scrubs and it's shimmer. They just smell so good. Like so good.
B
Really?
A
Yes.
B
I want to smell.
A
I would also always sometimes include like a little pareo. Like sometimes I'll get them from Lex Breezy or if you live in Hawaii, go to Noheao designers. They're like literally in Kamikana right across Sephora and it's just filled with local brands like or local Hawaiian Kanaka Maoli owned brands.
B
Yes, yes.
A
And I just like support everything there. They.
B
There's a lot over there. There's like the Defend Hawaii one.
A
But yeah, I just like to go in there and just get like little pareos, little like jewelries for like my.
B
Team from Ocean Creations there. The little snacks that I saw one year that you gave them was really good idea.
A
