The following podcast is a Dear Media production. Hello. Hello, everyone. Happy Thursday. It is Thursday yet again. Happy Thursday, Ms. K. How was your week?
B
It was good.
A
In one word, Besides good.
B
I would say tiring.
A
I would say moving. I was constantly on the move.
B
Oh, I. I see that. You've been, like. You've been extra moving lately.
A
Yeah, we'll get to that after this intro. Earth to Bratman girl. You already know who it is. And we are back. Oh, my gosh. It feels like. I don't know if it's just me, but every time we film, I feel like it's been a while.
B
No, literally, because I feel like. I don't know, I've been like. I used to come here every day. Now I would just come during filming.
A
When we film or the day before we film sometimes. No, that's a lot. You came here three times last week to play games, including the ones that you came to film. But when you do, you come at night. And I think that's why.
B
And I'd be just here for, like, four hours. And we have an agenda to do.
A
Yeah, we have shit to do. You never just come here just because you're bored. Now you have shit to do. Yes, you really do. Speaking of shit to do, I would like to drink this tea because it's looking so good.
B
Oh, my God.
A
We should get into our segments now.
B
Okay. Okay. Okay. My drink for today is gonna be.
A
And a drink that you also didn't make a TikTok yet again.
B
Okay. I was gonna try it first to see if it's good. Cause I don't wanna make something. And then I was, like, looking for another apple juice.
A
Yeah.
B
And you didn't have any.
A
You should really do it.
B
I will.
A
Your first one as the drink that you made last week.
B
Okay.
A
That was really, really good.
B
But this one is gonna be. I call my liquid cough drop.
A
Her liquid cough drop.
B
Every time I feel like something in my throat, I drink this. I make this right away. So just basically apple juice with honey and lemon. My liquid cough drop. But it's supposed to be warmer for, like, your throat. It's supposed. And every time I drink this, I.
A
Could literally drink this whole thing.
B
It's like. It clears your throat, you know, it.
A
Cleared up my eczema. Honestly, I don't even have eczema.
B
And I feel like it's so good, I could drink it every day. And I like to make. I like to try, like, fun things. Sometimes I like to add flavor. Sometimes I like to be, like, strawberry or, like, Lavender.
A
Yeah.
B
Things like that. But my tea of the week is Grammys is coming out.
A
Yes. Have you seen the Grammy nomination?
B
Yes.
A
Well, I feel like they've been out for a while now. Is there anything in particular that you're like?
B
Honestly? Honestly, the new artists coming. There's a lot of really good new artists for the Grammys lately.
A
Ozzy, can you pull up? Who's the new artist nominated?
B
I know Cat's Eyes won. Olivia Dean is one.
A
That's gonna be a hard one.
B
Who else? What's her name? Cuz I'm too happy that girl.
A
And I'm too clean.
B
Yes. Yes.
A
Lola Young.
B
Yeah. Lola Young.
C
Addison Ray.
B
Addison Ray, period.
C
Alex Warren.
B
Alex Warren. So a lot of big names.
C
Leon Thomas.
A
Leon. Oh, my God.
C
Who's gonna be on tour with Bruno, by the way.
B
Yes. I love that song.
C
Somber.
A
Is that how you say.
C
And the Marias.
A
Wow. That's gonna be hard.
B
That's a good idea.
A
What do you have your money on?
B
I would love to say Cat's Eye, because, you know. You know, my girl, they have been popping. We love to. We love to, you know, support our Filipino queen.
A
Yes.
B
You know, but I wouldn't be mad if Olivia Dean gets it.
A
Right, Right, right, right. Who do you think is gonna get take the cake? Me. Yeah.
C
I want Olivia Dean to win same, I think.
A
Okay. I think maybe it's just the hair today. Because I'm giving Olivia Dean. No, you do be giving Olivia Dean. Maybe let you die. Wait, wait.
C
Why don't you sing us a song from this view.
B
From this view earlier. She kind of looks like that one album cover.
A
That Lady Lady.
B
Yes.
A
Thank you. Right now.
B
What are you guys doing?
A
That lady lady. He's a man. It's giving. I think Olivia and Cat's side a toss up between those because they've just been. They both just been everywhere. Everywhere.
B
I mean, unless just my feed in general.
A
Yeah. But I do think just discog. Discog. Discography. Discography.
C
Discography.
A
Discography wise.
B
What is that?
A
Like songs they've had. Your work as a musician.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
Are all good, girl. When I tell you, like, Olivia has been making bops for so long.
B
Not even just one album. It's not. I meant like one song.
A
It's literally a whole album songs. So I think just because of that. Just because she has more music out. She's been. She has really been working for so long. Yes.
B
Just about time.
A
I think Olivia deserves it, and I think Katseye is going to have a Deserves it as well. But I think I just.
B
Maybe I just want more bigger and better things.
A
For sure.
C
You guys have a third artist you guys think might take the cake?
A
Probably Leon Thomas. Maria the Marie. Oh, yeah. Okay.
B
Well, I like the Maria too.
A
Love.
B
Honestly, this is the first Grammys for, like, the. The first newcoming artist that I'm like, I know all of you.
A
Yeah.
B
I listen to all.
A
A lot of it's like, I mean, this is not like our offensive thing, but a lot of them is like, tick tock music. Yeah. Or like music that we find on.
B
I grew up and like. Yeah. It's just very current.
A
I am rooting for all of Kehlani's nomination because I really feel like Folded deserves all the Grammys there ever is. I don't know how many Grammys Folded is nominated for. I think two or three. I know it's more than one. When is the Grammys?
B
February 1st. This. This week.
A
Oh, period. Oh, two.
B
Ending of this week. Your day, literally. Yeah. So we're gonna do your day and then we're gonna come home.
A
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
B
And watch the Grammy.
A
Something also is very important on the February 1st, which we'll talk about on the next episode. But I digress. Oh, my tea of the week. Oh, my.
B
Your reading of the week.
A
Yeah. Whatever it is. I forgot. What do you even call this? The tea. Okay. January 20th. 20th. 28th. January 20th. Dear Journal, sorry I haven't been writing in a while. I had literally been going to the gym at the crack of dawn, and sometimes two times a day. I'm what the kids would say, locked in.
B
You pretty much are, girl.
A
And my ass is here to prove it. I've slowly gotten back. I've slowly also gotten back to my work schedule as well, so I truly haven't had the time to pause and write. But I've been enjoying all the times I get to work out with my friends, including Ms. Caddy Nikki and my lesbian besties. And just working out. Oh. And just working out with them encourages me so much. And it's. I literally look forward to seeing my friends every time we work out.
B
It's fun working out with friends.
A
Yeah. I would say Ms. K would have joined us if she didn't break her whole body.
B
Yes.
A
But I also see you're not in your cast era anymore.
B
Yes, I'm. You know, if. I feel like if I didn't put that cast on, I feel like my feet would have been good and going by now.
A
Still. Yes. Why do you think the cast, like, low key?
B
Cause every time I Wear the cast.
A
Okay.
B
Every time I wear the cast, it's fun.
A
Fine.
B
I can walk fast, run, whatever. Whatever. But every time I take it out, I feel like I just sprained it yesterday. So I feel like I'm not exercising my muscle enough because I didn't tear anything at the end of the day.
A
So you think, like, the task was, like, doing.
B
Preventing it from, like, being strong again?
A
Okay. You know, did you tell your doctor that?
B
No.
A
Are you gonna.
B
No. I don't want to argue what I'm.
A
If he watches this, I don't want.
B
To argue with a doctor. I was like, I feel like your studies are wrong.
A
Is he out of. Are you completely out, or was that a decision you made or the doctor told you?
B
I'm not completely out. If I know I'm going to be standing on it the whole day, then I'm going to have it on. But if I'm, like, just right, like, now, just chilling and, like, you know, just doing little things, I feel like it should be fine.
A
I also don't know if I talked about this last week, but my dog Ellie got injured of her.
B
That's why. No, I literally was in their room. Literally. When. You know how, like, we had, like, a little time earlier. Yeah, I was in the room, and I was, like, talking to all of them, and I was like, elle, look at us both injured at the same time.
A
I have four little girls. I call them little girls even though they're not really puppies anymore. The youngest one is 2 years old, but Caillou, she's my little bodybuilder, fast girl. She loves her ball.
B
The bully.
A
So she was fetching. It was cat watching them. She was fetching, and I guess, like, Ellie went to go grab her ball. Caillou didn't like it, and Caillou snapped at Ellie, chomped her leg, and Ellie injured it.
B
And Caillou's coming from like, how are you gonna play ball all of a.
A
Sudden when they're throwing y'? All, Like, Ellie doesn't even, like, really do much with the dog. Like, she doesn't care. She doesn't really care for them. So the one time that, like, Ellie tries to get the ball, Caillou wants to bite her leg. So that's why. But she's fine now.
B
Ellie's fine standing up.
A
She's standing up. She was just Nablu strain sprain like.
B
Me for a couple days.
A
Like me. She took some lessons from Ms. K. They. I guess you both jumped off.
B
Yeah, we both out of our cast.
A
You both jumped off from. What'd you say, Waimea Bay? Yeah, girl, please.
B
You know I'd be telling that to everybody at work.
A
That you jumped off.
B
Yes. And then so. And then I. And then one person was like, around this time, and I was like thinking about it. I was like, yeah, what dumbass would go around this time? Yeah, because the waves are like pumping.
A
I literally said, that's what I said. Why are you. Yeah, you deserve to fucking get your.
B
I know, but I didn't think about it because I was like, during this time. It's like the big winter high tides, bitch.
A
I'm like, why did the waves not take you too?
B
I don't know.
A
Imagine.
B
Well, I mean, it was the first place to come up.
A
Yeah.
B
But it's fine.
A
But, girl, how have you guys been? Wait, I actually do want to know. How are you guys? New Year's resolution been going? Let me know down in the description down below. Did you have a New Year's resolution? I feel like we talked.
B
I have.
A
How is it one month in?
B
It's still one month in. We have 11 more months to go.
A
Okay. What was your thing?
B
I just want to start my business. My coffee business.
A
Okay. Period.
B
I feel like that will take time, Ms. Cafe.
A
Yes, period. Mine was making bouquets for myself and I made a bouquet this week. So. Yeah, it's going good. Oh, yeah, it's going good. Some people were like, are you making bouquets every week to manifest a man? I'm like, girl, imagine being that man. Male centered, like, bitch, what the.
B
I could never.
A
I literally just got out of a relationship, y'. All.
B
Can I just have it?
A
Just to have like a. Can't make a bouquet, like, without fucking my mouth.
B
I thought it was like a decoration.
A
Yes. And I'm gonna let y' all know this. I am the man, the myth and the legend. So don't ever think that I need a man or manifesting one, because, girl, why would I. Hercules. Hercules. No, literally, you. Why would I want to manifest them? Like, you know, the host. Oh, my God. You know what makes me so cringe? This is. Might be a little hot take, but when girls, or honestly a lot of guys say this too, where they'd be like. And they think it's cute. And I'm like, where they're like, I manifested you get the out of here. Like, no, that's weird.
B
No one told me in my dreams to I manifest.
A
I'm like, ew. Like, no.
B
Witchcraft, love spells.
A
That's not the cutesy thing. You Think it is like, if someone. If a guy was like, I manifested you, I would literally. Why?
B
Did someone tell you this recently?
A
No, no. But the whole statement of people being like, are you trying to manifest a man? I'm like, I can just go out.
B
Yes. I'm like, I can't do for myself.
A
Right.
B
Okay.
A
Period.
B
Oh, and also my traveling period. Yeah.
A
I have a couple traveling stuff I have to do this year. I'm going Philippines twice, girl. And you might come with me to one of those. But one of them you're not. Because it's okay. It's giving. No plus ones.
B
It's giving. Is it like a private event?
A
I think that's the one you can't go to that I don't have a plus one for. But you know what you're coming to for.
B
Is that clear?
A
Yes, girl.
B
Is it like, on the clear?
A
It's on the sketch. It's on the sketch. I'll let you know more about it.
B
Honestly, I don't care.
A
I really feel so fucking. I really feel like I'm back in 2015 when every influencer is like, guys have something huge coming up. I just can't talk about it. That has been this whole fucking podcast so far.
B
But, I mean, we are in the beginning of this year, so.
A
Yeah, it is just like, a lot of fucking things. Things that I'm just, like, working on and I don't want to get sued, honestly.
B
Best way to do it. Just that, you know, sometimes I always think about that. It's like, it's kind of crazy because, like, a lot of you know how, like, I surround myself with, like, people who's like. I. I would say normal people.
A
Yeah, me too.
B
That doesn't have, like, a stuff. And then I be talking to them about, like, things that I'm like, signed off with that get NBA.
A
Yeah.
B
And I'm like, no one's gonna. No one's gonna know. No one's gonna know.
A
That's me with my mom, you guys. I don't know if I told you guys this story, but my. I would send my mom, like, shoot, like when I'm in the middle of a shoe, like, just so, like, just so she know I'm doing things. I would send her pictures.
B
No phone restriction.
A
Yeah, I would send her pictures of, like, me and shoots, like, secret top shoes. Why would this girl, like, screenshot them and post them on Facebook?
B
I'm literally did that once, girl.
A
She did it like four times. I'm like, I. I remember one of them was my wet N wild collaboration. And it wasn't announced yet or anything. Girl, she done posted all the. The. The bts, all the shades. Who did the makeup. I'm like, girl, you can't do that.
B
So now Brett. What Brett does is before he sends something, he's like, don't.
A
Don't post this.
B
This stays in the group chat.
A
Mm. My mom gets so, like, involved when. Especially when I. Oh, my God, this is another fucking story. So you know how I did this might be a fucking. Okay, hold on. I might get in trouble, but I don't give a fuck. I feel like I owe you guys a juicy story before from all of this, like, secret that I've been talking about. But you guys know that I. You remember when I did the ad for remitly?
C
No.
A
So I did an ad for remitly where I donated half a million pesos to the elementary school that I went to when I was growing in the Philippines, not just Miracagayan High School. So my. And we have a cousin who's a teacher in there, right?
B
Yes.
A
And apparently, because I sent it to directly to the principal, the principal was being hush hush and, like, being petty about it and was like. And a lot of the associates, like, some of the teachers and the treasurers were like, where's the money? Like, why aren't you, like, telling us about it? Like, like, so they thought that he was, like, trying to pocket the money. Girl. I told. And. And somebody had DM'd me about it being like, hey, we don't really trust the principal. Like, he hasn't brought it up to any of the faculties. And even his thank you message to me was so, so weird. Like, I just did not trust the man who the principal was. Yeah. And my mom got involved, girl. She texted our cousin, the teacher was like, I need to talk to the principal right now. And she got it all together. And then she was like, you're not about to take my son's money and pocket it and think it's not gonna go to the school. I need everything in writing. I need every receipt. I need to know every. I need to know every single penny that he donated went to the school and not in your pockets.
B
Yeah, I believe it.
A
Oh, you know, girl, my mom sent me the whole message and my mom was literally like, sends a whole paragraph to him. All that to say the principal got scared of Mercedita and it went to the treasurer, and now we have in writing every single thing that they're gonna do with the money.
B
Okay, that's good.
A
So yeah, so action.
B
Yeah.
A
So girl, mom really said, you're not about to get my fucking sons.
B
Especially in Sanchez. Mira, girl. That's her place.
A
That's her like literally she's like, I'm gonna pocket that before you do it, bitch.
B
Because she's the one that's gonna see what the outcome is gonna be because she' like.
A
And that's what I told them. I'm like, hey, I'm gonna loop my mom and she's going to be the one handling this. Cuz honestly I did not want to be handling that.
B
She knows more of stuff from there and like she's always there. Yeah, that's so cool.
A
Period.
B
I feel like I have to tell you something. I feel like every week someone's trying to scam me. My DMs wild, my inbox even wilder. And honestly, the only reason I don't fully spiral is because I actually feel safe when I'm sending or spending money in Cash app. You know how your cousin's friend's uncle is always like, just send it. A new documentary film from Paris Hilton. I've loved music ever since I was a little girl.
A
What's your name again? Call Abdullah. I think when people would see me.
B
Out at night, they just saw this carefree girl. I knew somewhere deep down that if I listened to all those hateful comments out there in the world, that I would never recover.
A
So I decided to own the narrative.
B
Paris Hilton's Infinite Icon A visual memoir playing Only in theaters January 30th. Get your tickets now.
A
And we are back. Ms. K, I sorry I cut you off in the beginning of the episode, but what did you do this week?
B
Honestly, I just did work. I kind of did, like a little bit of shopping here and there especially.
A
What's your most favorite thing that you bought this week?
B
Right, now that I think about it, I didn't really bring anything. I just literally went grocery shopping. I know I told you guys I wasn't gonna grocery shopping, girl, but I need food.
A
What's she gonna eat?
B
Honestly? And then also just like, like hang out with friends and stuff like that. Yeah. How about yours?
A
Honestly, it depends what day because my Wednesday and my Sunday are two different people, girl. Like on train twice a day, I wake up at 7 o' clock to get to the gym by 9, work out until 10, go home and do a bunch of yard work. This week I actually did a bunch of yard work. I don't know if it was really windy where you live it.
B
Not really, but I know it was especially on either Wednesday or Tuesday because the lowest, the hottest it went to where I was was 69 degrees and I'm like Hawaii in the middle of.
A
The day, 6:00pm yeah, yeah, it was really, really windy here, especially the past couple of days. And all of my trees have been like leaning this way or have fully fallen over. So I've been doing a lot of that in between gyms. So on Wednesday specifically, I came home, worked on the yard for five hours, I went to the gym again to do my workout class and then came back home. But my Sundays, girl, I really. I woke in boke. I woke and toque this week.
B
What does that mean?
A
Waking bake for the first time in like years.
B
I feel like you deserve that, girl.
A
I worked out for a full Week straight. And on Sunday, I have a Garmin watch. And my Garmin watch tells me, like.
B
What, you did that?
A
But, like, how ready I am for another workout. And my Garmin watch was literally at a zero. Like, it was like, do not work out today. Do not. It was literally like, strain alert. Strain alert. Like, it was like, if you work out today, you've been.
B
I've been seeing you all your gym workers also. Okay, can I just say something, you guys? I know Brett is very fit, but I know when I'm like, girl, you're pushing yourself a little too much. Because he's, like, starting, like, he'd never work out. Like, hurting, like, he's, like, walking with a limb and, like, having a hard time going upstairs. I'm like, what?
A
No. And it's just from working out.
B
Yes. I'm like, what are you doing? Like, aren't you already fit?
A
Well, no.
B
Yes.
A
But at the same time, it's just like, throughout the year, I notice a lot of, like, my easier time of the year is usually in the beginning. Half.
B
Yeah.
A
And then I get so busy in the summer that I literally, by summer, I don't have time to work on myself or, like, do anything consistently. I. I'm sure I could still find pockets of time to work out, but consistently, no. So I'm really just trying to work out as much as I can until you can. So that I have abs until summer until. And then I. And then I. When my summer and then winter. Exactly.
B
Bulking season.
A
Exactly. So that's why I've been locked in. But the other day I also went to go to Sephora because Nikki was working at the market. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And you know, Ms. Nikki B, she be selling her pearls. And I don't know why.
B
I'm like, in front of Sephora in.
A
Front of Sephora, and I'm like, nikki, can you come to Sephora with me? So I literally made Nikki leave her booth to come into Sephora with me, and we bought a bunch of skincare. I was putting her onto the Rhodes glazing milk, and they've been sold out for so long, they're still sold out. So we ended up getting the travel size ones.
B
Is that why your face has been glowing lately?
A
I mean, yeah, girl, you know, a Sephora visit, Skincare visit, never.
B
No. I'm always curious.
A
Literally. So we bought a couple of those. And then we have our friend Chance as well, who literally texted Nikki off chat after, and she was like, girl, I'm so glad Brett came with us. To Sephora. Because I always get jealous of you guys's skin. You guys are always so glowy. And I was like, oh, my gosh, Janssen, all you have to do is put on sunscreen. I'm like, girl, it's not that much. I give you a whole routine. But yeah, we put Shanson on to sunscreen, which I feel like a lot of people, especially us Hawaii girls, like, forget. Forget or don't even do or reapply.
B
I used to be one of those people where I'm like, oh, yeah, you put one screen on and it's gonna be good for the rest of the day.
A
You have to reapply.
B
No, I did not know that.
A
Yeah, I literally have one on my bag for at the gym just so I could remind myself to reapply after.
B
I think it's also because we were taught to just embrace the sun.
A
Yeah.
B
Without no protection.
A
What is your skincare secret? Do you have a skincare secret that.
B
You follow My skincare secret? I just have been using the cleansers.
A
Yeah.
B
Double cleanser.
A
Whatever.
B
Whatever. And all the products you've been telling.
A
Me, giving me one of my skincare secrets. And this is truly. I promise this is not a fucking secret. I'm not gonna tell. Give you, like, a top secret thing. But something that has helped me so much just to always remember is, girl, just don't touch your face after. Don't touch your face, period.
B
Like, anytime.
A
Girl. I love, like, especially when I was younger in high school, I used to, like, nick my face all the time. I get like a little bump. You like, I had one right here and I was, like, pressing on it and there was nothing that came out. I'm pretty sure it was literally just like an irritated skin. And now I have a.
B
Wearing makeup, like a little zit.
A
Now I have, like, a little mark right here. Trying to pop something that was never even a pimple to begin with.
B
Is that why it gives, like, those dark spots? Because every time if you touch it.
A
That that's what it gives it. Especially if you're, like, nicking your skin.
B
Yeah, it's.
A
Sometimes it's you scarring your own skin. Yeah. Should we play a little skincare game? I feel like we should play a skincare game.
B
I feel like you're going to win, girl.
A
Because this episode is sponsored by Sephora. Thank you, Sephora, for sponsoring today.
B
Thank you video.
A
Let's play a little game A. I.
B
Will be robbing you guys after this.
A
Yes. And before I forget to say, make sure you guys shop Skincare at Sephora. They have the best stuff, and I feel like they're also been getting so much Korean beauty products lately.
B
Like, I just love how, like, Korean.
A
Stuff are coming in, you know? I love that. Yeah.
B
You know, it's going to good.
A
Ay, what are we playing?
C
All right, so I have a couple myths in the skincare world, and I need you guys to kind of break those bus. These myths? Yeah.
B
Like, if it's true or false. Yeah.
A
Oh, my God. Remember when we were kids, we were obsessed with Mythbusters? Yeah, I remember. I would run to your room to watch that all the time because Colin. Colin was the. Colin is Ms. K's brother.
B
Yeah.
A
Was the number one fan, and she always had that on.
B
My favorite Mythbuster was like, how many can you, like, fold the paper more than, like, 10 times or something?
A
Oh, yeah. My favorite one was when they were trying to find out if, I guess, there was a soldier that died on top of a bamboo mound. And bamboo is one of the fastest growing grass or tree. It's. Bamboo is actually a grass. It's in the grass family. Yeah, bamboo is in the grass family, and it's one of the fastest growing plant there is. And I guess a soldier, like, passed out, like, on top of a bamboo, and it literally, like, killed him because it grew, like, into his body.
B
Dang.
A
It stabbed him.
C
I think they do that as, like.
A
Torture, and they used to do that as torture back in the day as well. Yeah.
B
Where they just, like. Like, keep them down on the bamboo and.
A
Yeah.
C
Slowly grows.
A
Yeah. They would, like, literally lay them on the bamboo and just watch it, like, slowly, like, rise and through their chest.
B
Oh, my gosh.
A
That's crazy, right?
C
That's a good segue.
A
Why do I feel like. Well, speaking of myths. What?
C
It's like we forgot.
A
All right, hit me with these methods.
C
All right, so with all that experience with Mythbusters. Yeah. I should be able to break these myths. Okay, so this one is myth number one, is based off of pores and exfoliation.
A
Oh, hit me.
C
So true or false. You should exfoliate daily for clearer pores.
A
True, girl. No, that's okay. I understand why you think it's true, because I feel like so many people do it.
B
And exfoliating is the one with the beads, right?
A
Exfoliating, yes. Anything, really, that kind of scrub. Scrubs your skin, but there are also, like, exfoliating liquids that you can do. Like the Paula Deen one. But, girl, I feel like my skin would file a restraining order on Me if I did, like, exfoliate it every day, because it's really harsh for your skin, especially if you do exfoliate. Please exfoliate at night and not in the daytime. Especially because your skin will be literally so raw. And if you do exfoliate in the daytime, please, please, please put on sunscreen. Mineral sunscreen, to be exact, but any sunscreen.
B
So that's a myth.
C
So the answer is false?
A
Yes.
C
Depends on your skin type.
B
Okay, well, at least I don't have that product.
A
Like, if your skin can take it. Yes, I would.
B
I used to do it every day because I'm like, girl, it's the only cleanser I got. It's the one with the beads, and I'll just use it day and night.
A
And I understand why you would, because I feel like it. Scrubbing makes you feel more clean, but really, you're making a lot of micro tears in your skin. A really gentle one that I like to use is the dermalogica one. I think it's, like the rice powder. That one's really good.
B
The one in the blue stuff?
A
Yeah. No, it's black. It's gray and white, I think.
B
Okay, okay. Okay.
A
Those are really good.
B
So once. Once a week.
A
I would say every other day.
B
Every other day. Okay.
A
Yeah. To start. And if you can. If your skin can really take it.
B
Girl, like, go for it.
A
But go for it.
B
Okay. Wow.
A
Thank you.
C
That's good to know. All right, myth number two is about fine lines and wrinkles. So which statement is true? A, nothing you can do about it, or B, retinols can help.
A
Retinol.
B
Retinol, period.
A
I love a retinol girl.
C
That is correct.
A
Speaking of retinol, retinol sometimes is very, very, very drying. And so please start with retinol. This is just from an actual bitch that burnt her skin in retinol, because I did it every day, like, exfoliating. Do it, like, every other. Every three days. So twice a week, start there. If your skin could take it, do it every other day.
B
Yes. Also, fun fact. I used to work at a dermatologist office, period. But they said. I didn't know this, but retinol. There's different types of numbers in retinol, so you have to start from, like, the lowest one until gradually work your way up.
A
Yeah, I feel like retinol is basically like a gym membership for your skin. Like, you gotta exercise, you know, she's.
B
Like, working the tolerance up kind of.
A
Thing very much, but also really, really, really put on sunscreen. The Next day and never use retinol in the daytime, please. Girl, I really. Trust me, I made the mistakes so that you don't have to. Some of my favorite retinol products. I love the Claudalie one that I'm. I just started that one. The Cloudily has a really good retinol.
B
And I know that one product.
A
I believe Innisfree also has Innisfree. Innisfree. I haven't tried that one, but I know Innisfree have.
B
I used to use that one product. Good molecules.
A
Oh, good molecules.
B
They have a really good one for, like, starter retinol. They have a low one, period. That's what I started with.
A
Editor, please fact check if good molecule is a Sephora.
B
Yes, it is.
A
Okay. Period.
C
Okay, so myth number three, this one's about dryness. Okay, so true or false? Vitamin C and salicylic acid seal in hydration, girl.
A
False as it's ceramides and you know that's cute. Glycerin, right? It's ceramides and glycerins that actually set your the hydration in your skin barrier. Honestly, some of my favorite ones. Or is my favorite one is the.
B
Rose beauty rose water.
A
Not rose water. Roads.
B
Oh, bro.
A
Not rose water.
B
Sorry.
A
Roads. The milk. Glazing milk.
B
Yes.
A
So, so, so good. I also love the summer Fridays has a really good one. And yeah, those are my top two. Oh, also, wait, no. The actual favorite one. I know Sephora has it now. I saw it when I was there. Is the Ace Tura one. That one's really popular.
B
I've seen that one on Sephora.
A
It's like, blue. I think I gave you one for after I came back home from Korea. Actually.
B
I think you did.
A
That's, like, one of the number one selling in Korea. So Astura.
B
You know, fun fact. I used to create my own little setting spray. Do you know how I used to mix water and glycerin. Right? Yeah. Yeah.
A
Okay, girl. Oh. That's how the Mac fix plus is, I think.
B
Is it really?
A
Yeah.
B
Oh.
A
Oh. It's just water and glycerin.
B
Okay.
A
That's what that is.
C
You guys are correct, by the way.
B
Oh, thank you.
A
Who else would be wearing.
C
Okay, last myth. Myth number four is dullness and barrier repairs. True or false? Fixing a damaged barrier takes months.
A
I think it's true. Months. I could see how that's true, but I feel like, how long.
B
Remember when you burned your skin? How long did that process, like, took you?
A
I don't think it took months.
B
Like, weeks.
A
I Would say. Yeah. I feel like as long as you're using good quality things, good quality ingredients in your skincare, I feel like a week, especially if it's just your skin barrier. I want to say, like a couple weeks. Months is like, girl, like second degree burn. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I would say false.
C
Correct. So false improvement can be sooner with the right ingredients.
A
Oh, good.
B
Like the herbs.
A
Yeah.
B
Period. How can you tell when your face is dull? Sorry, I wanted to, like, color wise.
A
Yeah.
B
Like what? What would you say dullness is like, grayish. You look grayish.
A
Like, you're just not glowing. You're just not glowing. You're like matte. Yeah. You know when someone just like, like.
B
Sick when they're sick.
A
Yes. Very much dull vibes. I feel like Dr. Jart has really good products for saving your skincare barrier. But also Tower 28, which Kat loves so much, she literally brings it to the gym all the time after we work out.
B
She's, like, drenching her body.
A
Drenching her whole body. But also, like, reapplying all the products. So I would say that, but also, like, I think the reason why I said false is because, girl, like, your skin barrier is not like your ex. Like, you can get over after a couple of weeks and then, like, not months.
B
And it doesn't, like, your skin, like, sheds every day.
A
Yeah. So I feel like it is quicker. It could take months, but I feel like, you know, as long as you're using good products, it could take weeks. Yeah. Was that.
C
Was it you guys?
A
Girl, make it harder next time. This is so easy.
B
I know you're talking to a person who, like, created products.
A
I. I invented skincare, actually. I don't, like, even realize that, like, anyways, you guys, hope you guys enjoyed that little myth buster segment. Make sure you guys shop Sephora for skincare. Wait, Ms. K, I know we talked about heated rivalry, but another gay thing that I've been watching. And I know I called your ass about it yesterday.
B
I know I haven't watched it yet.
A
The Boyfriend Season 2 is really good.
B
Cause you swear you bullied me out of it?
A
No, because season one. I'm so sorry, you guys. Is so boring. I'm so sorry. It was boring.
B
I watched it and I was like, all they do is talking, like, where some drama.
A
Yes, season two is really, really good. And the cast is so cutesy. And can I be a little sicko real quick? I didn't look it up, I promise. But when I went on X the other day, one of the boys Nudes got. I didn't look at it because I. I don't believe in looking at people's news because I literally don't want to get uncomfortable, but I love it. One of their nudes, one of the boys got leaked, and I was like, oh, my gosh. I was just watching this.
B
Did it match his?
A
Like, I didn't see. It was like, I thought I was being. I don't know if it even was real because it was, like, a link, and I didn't want to, like, get virus or anything.
B
Did it, like. Like, you know how, like. Okay, wait, so, like, when.
A
When's the cutest one, too?
B
Oh, when it comes to, like, celebrities on, like, things, like, you know, you can never, like, see or, like, stuff.
A
Yeah.
B
And, like, you kind of imagine them, like, what they have or, like, what they look like naked. Like, you expect him to look like that naked when you saw it?
A
I didn't see his news.
B
Oh, you didn't?
A
It was literally just a picture. His picture, and he's like. His nude leaks, and then it was the link. Oh, I. Was. I. Was I gonna click on it? Yes. But did I? No.
B
No, because you were like, I'm not gonna make it weird.
A
Yeah, but also, I just had watched, like, the first two episodes, and I don't. It's not even just, like, I don't want to see his nudes. It's really just, like, my values and morals. I was just like, girl, if it's not, like, on the screen, obviously he doesn't want me to see it.
B
I'll see it when I see it.
A
Yeah.
B
If it was a link, it's a scam.
A
Exactly. Because if that was me and my nudes out, I don't know. I wouldn't want people to look at it, honestly.
B
Okay, now I know what you mean.
A
You have been watching Traders. I haven't.
B
Traitors. Traders. I've been loving it. I'm rooting for the Traders just because Rob is in there. I have a huge crush on Rob.
A
He's just so fine, period.
B
Oh, like, speaking of news, his news got leaked, too, right after his love island. Yeah.
A
Oh, I seen that.
B
And I was like, oh, wow, cute. I would expect that.
A
I didn't see his nudes, but I saw Jeremiah.
B
I didn't know that.
A
Oh, wait, no, not Jeremiah. Ew. Kendall was one.
B
Kendall. I've heard about them.
A
Girl, that one was everywhere. I didn't even have to look for that one. It was just, like, in the feed.
B
Really, girl? Like, it was just out and About. No, I didn't see that one.
A
Yeah.
B
But I've been liking that. I also been enjoying high potential. High potential. And what was that one show that we were watching? Did you finish it? You and Me, her and Mine.
A
Oh, my gosh.
B
Did you finish it?
A
Yes, I did. Oh, I haven't finished his and Hers, I think.
B
Yeah.
A
There's a new show on Netflix called His and hers, and it's a murder mystery show. It's really, really good. It's well written, and I honestly binged it in a day. My friend Jeanette told me to watch it, and I finished it the same night.
B
I finished two episodes with you, and.
A
I had to go home after that. We started that last time we shot the episode. Yes. Yeah, I have. Really good. Okay.
B
I want to watch it.
A
It's really good. What do you think about the new season of Drag Race? Love. Are you liking it?
B
Yes. Mango. Ms. Mango. Mango. Ms. Moo.
A
Mandy. Mango got robbed as.
B
As. Because I was like, oh, okay. The episode.
A
She's a performer.
B
She is. And Loki, when I was watching her episodes, when the. The challenge that she got eliminated, I'm like, girl, she didn't even do that bad. I was cracking up.
A
Literally.
B
I was like, okay, girl.
A
Honestly, even the girl group one, like, she didn't need to be bottom on that one.
B
And her looks was giving. I don't know. I. I don't know. I just.
A
I think they were really coming for. I think, like, I think the producers were, like, just trying to. With her, it's worse. I mean, it's weird.
B
All Stars is always All Stars, period.
A
And I think she's giving very much, like, crowd favorite. I've been seeing a lot of people, like, defending her.
B
Yes.
A
Because she's even saying to lip sync.
B
Battles that she did. She. I don't think she deserved to go home.
A
Exactly. The second one, I love briar, but girl. Yeah, she didn't eat as much as no Mandy. I don't think. And I saw Tick Tock Brighter even said that herself. Like, yes.
B
And also RuPaul's Drag Race UK. The versus the world. But Ms. Minty Fresh. Three Filipinos are gonna be there. Melinda Verga. Minty Fresh, and a girl from UK. I forgot her name. Girl. 3 Filipino queens.
A
I love that. I can't wait.
B
I know. And I heard this is gonna be good.
A
Period. Okay. Should we do product of the week?
B
Oh, my God. Yes, we can.
A
You can go first. Okay.
B
I have been using this lightweight hair oil. I think you're the one that gave Me this.
A
Yeah.
B
Lola V from Lola V. And I've been loving how it's. It's the smell of this.
A
I knew you would like it. I just have so much hair oil, so I don't.
B
And low key. Like, I love it because, like a lot of hair oils. Gets heavy on your hair. And this one is like very.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
Well, it says lightweight hair.
A
You know, Jennifer Aniston owns that. Oh, really?
B
Love.
A
My favorite thing this week has been my Addie zero. I wore this all. I know it's gonna look cleaner on camera, but I swear she's dirty.
B
Was that the video of you going viral right now where you look back.
A
And you're like running? No, this guy can do.
B
Yes. That pose. And then you went on the comments and then there was a screenshot of like a little vintage.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
I go in there.
A
No, no, this wasn't the shoes I was wearing.
B
These are.
A
Actually I got these after that video because. So after I posted that video, I've been on like Runner. I know. Literally.
B
No. Okay, wait, before we like, you need.
C
To get sponsorships for running.
A
No, hold on. Wait, let me finish this and then you can go.
B
Okay, go, go.
A
After I posted that video, I've been getting. I've been on Running talk and I got so many videos of people recommending the shoe. Yeah. So I just got it. I also got new Hokas. I. I promise I'm not trying to like over consume running shoes, but every year I try to get at least one running shoe. My learning shoe last year were a six. The year before that was ultra. So I try to get at least.
B
Something always coming up.
A
Yeah. But this year I went with the Addi zero and another one from hokas. I haven't run with the hocus one yet, but this one I've also done training in like cross training, which you shouldn't be doing with running shoes. But I was like, it's flat enough where I could do training.
B
Wait, are those the shoes that were like. They were like. You bounce up with it.
A
No, those are the Nike.
B
The foamy ones.
A
No, it's like a plate. Yeah, it like, it goes like that and it'll bounce. Yeah. Those are illegal in some races, actually, because it's supposed to like help some runners with their speed and like their height. But even in that video, girl, I was like, oh, my God. Wait, I can a can run?
B
No, every. Everyone in the comment were like, dang, his posture, like, the way he runs.
A
Yeah.
B
And I was like, girl, he is a runner.
A
She Was a runner. She's a track star. Yes. People think I got my, like, the strides and, like, my running form from.
B
You do be floating CrossFit.
A
I mean, CrossFit, cross country. But I actually got my pace and my sprint, like, my posture thing down because of hurdles. It wasn't from long distance because you.
B
Have to, like, arch your back.
A
Arch your back. And like, even, like, my bigger steps having to learn how to take bigger tests because I was always the shortest kid doing hurdles. Like, that's why my stride is so long, because I'm ready to keep up.
B
Ready to, like, jump up.
A
But somebody was like, oh, how? What was it? Somebody had something smart to say where it was like, you only ran this for this amount of time. Like, for whenever you record. I bet you, like, stop running that fast when the camera stopped recording. And I'm like, no, okay. But you're still in bed typing that. Like, I still went out to run.
B
I remember when I did that video because I.
A
You did that.
B
I feel like you did. I did once with you on the Jeep and Loki. I was, like, trying to go with the speed limit. And then you'd be doing, like, 25 miles per hour.
A
Yeah. A. I'm literally like, you really think I'm not an athlete? Like, yeah, she's an athlete. I'm telling you.
B
You need to raise speed.
C
Physical Asia.
A
Physical Asia. Hit me up. Oh, my God. No, I can't race speed. The bitch be racing a whole fucking cheetah. Like, not even a fucking athlete. A cheetah, bitch. And I'm like, what the fuck? No speed needs to be an Olympian. Like, I'm sorry.
B
I know. Get him to the Olympics.
A
Oh, my God.
B
