David Vander Meer took his wife Bernadette to hike Angels Landing in Zion National Park in 2006. David said he went to take a photo of his wife atop the sheer sandstone cliff, but he turned away and when he looked back, his wife was gone. Bernadette died on the canyon floor. David Vander Meer moved on with his life and for almost 20 years, the case remained closed. Then people began coming forward to tell investigators that they did not believe Bernadette's death was an accident. Washington County Utah investigators reopened the file and discovered some very disturbing information. David Vander Meer was arrested in Las Vegas and then this story took a shocking turn.
