Tom Schwartz
It's now time for your weekly retox with Tom Schwartz.
Andy Cohen
Be pride to Tom, Tom and everybody else. God, my TomTom memories are really from the early days and just being there when you first opened it and it was so fresh and new and it was so fun being there. We just couldn't wait to be there and just always the best vibe really emanating from the toms through everybody who worked there and everybody who went there and just some great times at TomTom. I'm. I'm gonna miss it. If that's what you're telling me.
Tom Schwartz
Andy, that is unfortunately what we're telling you. TomTom is for sale. Yeah, TomTom's for sale. I think you guys know this by now. It's sad, but I'm happy. We've had a hell of a run, man. Annie got me reminiscing. When it was fresh and new, the vibes always remained high. Remember we opened back in 2018, pulling up on the sidecar, man. Feels like it was just yesterday. I also feel like I've lived an entire lifetime since we've opened TomTom. It's a magical place, steeped in so much lore, a formative place in my life that's just been a catalyst, a spark for change. It's boosted my confidence and just elevated my entire life to the point where I am now. You're like Schwartz. Chill out. You got 5%, buddy. Well, it has 100% changed my life for the better. And the doors are still open, so let's not get too sappy. Right? We'll save the sentiment, the mushy stuff from when we actually close the doors. But for now, TomTom is still open and it's pride. Yes. Wonder closes, another opens. In this case, 188 of them. The new Vanderpump Rules hotel opening this week. Flying out Thursday with Caesars to celebrate the opening with Ken, Lisa Pandy, Jason Nicolain, the whole team at Caesars. Kiki, I'm sure a bunch of other cast members really excited. It's where the former Cromwell property was. Industrial, romantic vibes. It's kind of like their signature look. Now, don't you dare call it steampunk, because I'll tell Lisa on you. She doesn't like that steampunk. But you guys. Tom Tom FOR sale. This might be our last Pride. I don't know. I won't get too mushy, gushy, like I said. But, yeah, for now, we're still alive and well, right? It ain't over till it's over. That's what Rocky said. Our beloved little Tom Tom sitting along Santa Monica Boulevard in West Holly with the heart of the Rainbow District. I love the Rainbow District. I've had probably some of the best times of my life, and it's the place I've most frequented in Los Angeles. Route 66. Yes. Pink Pony Club. The Abbey, the Bayou Motherlode. Some of the most iconic spots. Mickey's High Tops, man, so many good times. Of course, sir. Formerly Pump, which is now part of TomTom. I will always have a very special place in my heart for the Rainbow District in West Hollywood. And I've had the great honor of getting to be a bar owner, a business owner in my favorite part of Los Angeles, West Hollywood. That's right. And you could buy it. You, me. Should we crowdsource and should we buy TomTom? What do you guys think? They tried to do it for spirit. I think it kind of fell apart. Maybe for the best. What if we crowdsource, TomTom. You guys, the listing encompasses intellectual property, social media accounts, furniture, fixtures, equipment, goodwill, proprietary operational systems. You know what I'm saying? All the ip. Why don't we do this? Listen, we've had a hell of a run and it's been a great pleasure in mine and Tom's life. Got our foot in the door and yeah, it forever changed the course of my life. We're gonna celebrate Pride this episode. I'm actually recording this after the weekend. It was an absolute hit. Love wins again. I think we still have some Pride 2026 shirts for sale if you want to buy them. Me and Logan made them. But. Yeah, man, I love Tom. Tom, it's like our little. It's like my happiest third space. Our little Central Perk, our little McLaren's Pub, our Cheers bar. Because sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know if this is our last Pride. It feels that way, but just. Yeah, man. So many good memories in there. In TomTom West Hollywood, it's. It's. It's become a character in itself. Like Sir Pump, Villa Blanca, they became characters, right? Like TomTom became part of the story. It has its own personality, history, lore, big wins, some losses and like. Yeah, it just has an emotional connection to me. Everyone involved, the staff who've become family in the trenches. It's like you don't go there just to sip on a Tom fashion or a Pumptini. Snap a pic with the Sandy Schwartz kissing picture. You know, it's. It's like you go there because it means something. It's. It's. It's just steeped in so many beautiful memories, you know, I don't know. When the bar. If and when the bar is gone, one thing I'll miss the most is just connecting with people from all around the world. Hearing your guys stories. My God, the secrets you've confided in me. The beautiful moments. Love won, love lost. Promotions fall apart. Divorce parties, marriages. Bachelorette parties. I mean, you guys, I forgot to share in so many of your lives. It's a beautiful thing. I mean, for God's sakes, I help multiple people propose and. Tom. Tom. But yeah, listen, I don't know what's gonna happen. Maybe tt gets old, maybe it doesn't. Maybe next year we're all sipping pump teenies in Vegas only, but I don't know. It's been quite the lesson, right? But the times are changing. People aren't going out as much. I don't know, things change. Bars change, the cast changes. The city's definitely changing. For better and maybe for worse. It's tough out there as a bar restaurant owner, I'm gonna say, but we're gonna keep it positive. I'm not gonna cry. Too sad a song. And I want to get into it. Listen, I got everyone a little tipsy just in case it was our last Pride at TomTom. I was extra sentimental. So, yeah, maybe I poured it on a little strong, literally and figuratively. But thank you guys for just taking a moment out of this beautiful weekend Pride Month, and sharing some of your favorite stories. So, yeah, without further ado, let's riff, catch up with Kyle, Tom, Jesse Lacey, Zach Logan, who's the manager, one of the managers at TomTom, and just shoot the shit. We kept it light and sentimental and we got a little drunky. So what? What of it? We had a few Chardonnays, we had a few Vanderpump. Yes, I'm not gonna blame it on the patron, but I was in the zone. I had a fucking amazing weekend. Happy Pride. Appreciate the love, you guys. I won't yap too much more. Let's just get into it. Let's. I was a little drunk myself, but you know, we were celebrating just in case it was our last pride and love was definitely in the air. So let's. Let's get into our little audio diary, which was hopefully not the Last Pride at TomTom West Hollywood. You're listening to this podcast, so I know you've got a curious mind. Lisa Vanderpump
This is Lisa. Oh my God, I miss you. This year prior, it's always been such a huge thing for all of us at SIR and at TomTom. I was with you in spirit. I sent you lots and lots of love and I just thank all the incredible days, everything we've done, the laughter, the naughtiness, inappropriateness, the goodness. All of it standing up for what's right. I know you're representing me there so I thank you. I love you. I'm opening a bloody hotel so I can't be there. I'll see you very soon.
Logan Cochran
Logan Cochran I just watched episode two Love Island. I'm falling in love with the cast. Everyone's hating on them online. Thoughts?
Kyle Chant
Are we sharing?
Logan Cochran
What thoughts? Feelings.
Kyle Chant
Oh Love Island Season 8. It's the best show on television. Sorry to you.
Logan Cochran
Well, listen, I. Ariana looks so good on the billboard. The one in Ventura, right across the street from Casa Vega.
Kyle Chant
I haven't been to that one, but there's one on Sunset that I pulled over and took photos of and with the other day. She's also at all of the bus stops.
Logan Cochran
Is this Our last pride TomTom? First of all, I love you.
Kyle Chant
I love you too.
Logan Cochran
And you're my friend.
Tom Sandoval
You're my friend.
Logan Cochran
And I'm just worried. I don't know if I'm worried. I'm at peace. Is this our Last Pride at TomTom?
Kyle Chant
In my head, pride is eternal. So even if Tom Tom. The business is not at this location, I think we will. We'll find our way back here
Tom Schwartz
for life.
Kyle Chant
Pride. Pride doesn't end if TomTom bends.
Logan Cochran
So poignant because it's so much more than a bar restaurant. It's a time capsule for some of the best and worst moments of my life. Mostly the best. And a lot of those were amplified because of you. Wait, can I ask you a question that I've never asked you before? Even though you did my podcast and you were lovely. Rave reviews. Favorite moments at TomTom Pride Edition.
Kyle Chant
I used to, when I was a. A younger gay, dance on tables every Pride weekend here at TomTom. Honestly, every Pride is such a blur. It's always so crazy. I'd also like to, because I don't. I didn't hear you mention this. We're in the back alley of TomTom right now in a U Haul truck. And whose U Haul is this?
Logan Cochran
I was at Foxfire, which is another Vanderpump staple. A lot of things happened there. We were outside smoking a cigarette, and he goes, he was from Texas. He goes, listen, in Texas, we don't have U Hauls. We have y' all halls.
Kyle Chant
Okay, but whose truck is this?
Logan Cochran
This is my favorite podcast.
Jesse Lacey
Yeah.
Logan Cochran
Wait.
Jesse Lacey
When you work at a bar or
Logan Cochran
restaurant, the staff becomes your family. Am I not to get too deep here? Right? It's love and hate.
Jesse Lacey
Yeah.
Logan Cochran
You don't.
Jesse Lacey
We're not gonna.
Logan Cochran
But like, right? Are you gonna.
Jesse Lacey
I'm kind of sad.
Logan Cochran
This feels like the end of an era.
Jesse Lacey
I know. It will live on.
Logan Cochran
It's a time capsule. It's on tv. Our memories, our brains. Like it'll live on forever. What are you going to miss most? If this is the Last Pride at TomTom,
Kyle Chant
if this is the last Pride of TomTom, I will miss spending these long ass days with in such close, tight quarters with some of the best people I've ever met, you included. But we have the best staff here, and if this is our last pride together, that will be devastating for me. But I also think we'll look back on this time so, so f fondly with such pride.
Tom Schwartz
Beautifully stated.
Logan Cochran
For people who have never worked in a restaurant. I know we touched on this. Can you explain what it's like and how it's like you commiserate, you bond not over your misery, but it's like being in the customer service industry is grating, it's draining. It's fulfilling, too, and I love it. Can you explain for someone who's never worked in a restaurant, why you trauma bond with your coworker so much?
Kyle Chant
I think it is. It's so much fun, and I think that's a lot of the appeal and the draw. But there are moments where it just gets to be so chaotic and so crazy, and you are in the trenches with people and you are, like. You're, like, down bad, and you've got nine tables and you don't know what the is going on, but. And you say to people around you who you love normally, and you. You're cursing at them because you're, like, pissed off because your table's pissed off at you, because the kitchen is taking too long, the food's taking too long, the drinks are taking too long, and it's. It is very traumatic and it's humiliating at times, but those are. Those are the moments that, like, first of all, make you grow. But also at the end of the shift, after everything is said and done, it's all just, like, burgers and fries and if you're at TomTom, some cocktails as well. But it's, like, not the end of the world. And then at the end of the shift, you realize, oh, my God, it was so chaotic. But you just look at each other and laugh and you're like, we're stronger because of it. We're closer because of it, and those are your best friends.
Logan Cochran
I know I already asked you this earlier, and you're like, don't put me on the spot, but can you ask me or can you ask me? Did I just say, can you ask me?
Jesse Lacey
You did.
Tom Schwartz
Wait, favorite. Just, like, favorite off the top of your head.
Logan Cochran
Favorite TomTom moments. Doesn't have to be Pride Edition.
Jesse Lacey
Okay?
Tom Schwartz
Just, like, something sweet.
Kyle Chant
I think we're about to get in trouble for being in this U haul right now.
Zach Logan
We are so trouble.
Kyle Chant
We are about to get in trouble. I Think we are getting in trouble.
Logan Cochran
Okay, that's an easy out then. Logan, I love you.
Jesse Lacey
I appreciate you. Oh, sorry, bro. Sorry.
Zach Logan
Yeah.
Jesse Lacey
Yeah.
Logan Cochran
I'm sorry, bro.
Satan
Yeah.
Jesse Lacey
All right, we got to go. We just got in trouble. Love you guys.
Sandy
Sam,
Jesse Lacey
Lacey, favorite moments, favorite memories. TomTom West Hollywood. Could be our last one.
Melissa
Melissa's birthday. Best day ever. We had Sunday Funday. I bonded with Brittany and we ate goat cheese balls.
Satan
So Jesse, Lally from the Valley here with Lacey, soon to be Lally from the Valley. My best moment of gay pride was I, believe it or not, not many people know that. I used to be a bar back at here Lounge, now part of the Abbey. And my first ever pride. I had a gold sarong, see through mesh sarong, body painted with stars. And the amount of love I got on my chest at the time was amazing. I've been back every single year. I've been back with Isabella, my daughter. Take her down for the parade every single year. And for the last few years, we always end pride parade with Tom.
Jesse Lacey
Tom, do you know working at. Working at the Abbey is a rite of passage? I feel like Jax worked at the Abbey. Any Abby stories that you can tell that aren't too.
Melissa
Yes. So I used to be a gay icon. I lived with my gay best friend for 10 years.
Jesse Lacey
Used to be you still are.
Melissa
Still am. And we used to go to the Abbey every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night. We would all pool our money together and get a table because we were bougie. And I'm not going to lie, I've been roofied a few times there, but
Tom Sandoval
it was worth it, you guys.
Jesse Lacey
Jesse, do you think people actually get roofied or. The drinks are just really strong at the Abbey.
Satan
I mean, I roofie myself at the Abbey every time I go. Just for the. For the opportunity to maybe have a fun night. But I will tell you my favorite Abbey story first. Move to LA first week. My best friend was a waiter at the Abbey. I picked him up at. Picked him up on a Sunday brunch. And he was in the backseat counting out like $1,000 in tips. This is 2007. And I was like, shit, maybe I should work at the Abbey. Then I got a job at Here Lounge. Next thing you know, I'm body painted and. And, yeah, the rest is history.
Melissa
She is here.
Jesse Lacey
Sheena's here. All right, you guys. Thank you. I love you. Thank you for doing this. It's a little audio diary for myself. Thank you, guys.
Tom Schwartz
Love you.
Jesse Lacey
Everyone's been. It's a rite of passage. Just like, bartending, philanthropic mom.
Melissa
Don't air the.
Tom Sandoval
Okay.
Jesse Lacey
Yes. Love you guys.
Kyle Chant
All right.
Logan Cochran
Back.
Jesse Lacey
By the way, TomTom, back alley, underrated. A lot of lore here there.
Zach Logan
It's so underrated. And also, I don't think people realize that they built out, like, a deck and a stage during COVID And so we would go outside of TomTom, and then we could go into the adjoining bar at Beaches, and we would just like, constantly go back and forth. It was so much fun.
Jesse Lacey
We Ho's the best place in la. I will die on that hill. Although we live in the Valley now. We're on the Valley. I'm.
Zach Logan
I will die in WeHo, period, at some point. So, yes, agreed.
Jesse Lacey
Zach, if I die prematurely, will you spread my ashes around the strip in weho?
Zach Logan
I'll do it at the Bayou. I'll just. Straight at the Bayou.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
I'll.
Zach Logan
I'll make it into the jello shots and then give it to people.
Jesse Lacey
You have officially been on my podcast more than anyone else. I love you. It's. You're one of my best friends in the world. Can you tell me. I know. I don't want to put you on the spot and ruin your vibe because, you guys, it's Sunday. It's our last Pride favorite memories. Tom Tom doesn't have to be be Pride. At least Pride adjacent.
Zach Logan
Yeah, they can all tell it's the third day of Pride because my voice right now is very third day pride. My favorite memory of TomTom is just. It's actually the family and camaraderie of, like, the bartenders. I love everybody, like, every single one of them. And, like, one of our best friends, Mindy, was a bartender for years. And, like, we. It's just like. It's like a second home. It's where we start the night every. It's. It's just kind of like that cheers thing for us, you know what I mean? My favorite memory, like, literally, opening day was so much fun. I was here on opening day with y', all, and I'll be here on closing day, even. You know, hopefully it's a little bit longer. But you know what? This just opens it up for us to do our own Pride party in WeHo from now on.
Jesse Lacey
I thought you were gonna say it
Tom Schwartz
opens us up to open our own
Jesse Lacey
bar in we ho.
Zach Logan
No, especially not with our names.
Jesse Lacey
Zach, I love you. You've been such a supportive. You've been a formative person. This has been a formative place for me. I grew into the man I am Today because of TomTom, I was a little bit of a before this place, to be honest.
Zach Logan
I mean, I think you still a little bit are. But that's okay. You're trying and that's what matters. All right.
Jesse Lacey
I don't know if I wanted to go there, but you're drinking a cocktail right now. It's delicious, it's well balanced. How would you rate my cocktail making skills?
Zach Logan
I will say you are the worst cocktail maker that's ever existed. 0, negative 5. I don't even know. But they do get you fucked up. But also you. For some reason, out of all that, you can't make a vodka cranberry. But for some reason, you can make an espresso martini. It is the only thing you make well. But you do make it well. So I will give you that.
Jesse Lacey
They call that a paradox.
Zach Logan
They call that just fucking insane, that that's what you do well.
Jesse Lacey
Zach, I love you. I just wanted to snip it because this is a time capsule in case this is our last pride here. I love you.
Zach Logan
I love you more.
Jesse Lacey
Love you, brother. Wait, by the way, just for the fans, is there any furniture in your apartment yet?
Zach Logan
Oh, wow. You're gonna say I don't have any furniture.
Jesse Lacey
Did you get a sponsorship deal with Monster?
Zach Logan
Not yet. I'm sure they'll call, though. I've had literally so many people send me Monster fridges. Like, say, here, I'll send you this one. And one lady sent me an ebay listing and was like, I will buy this for you. And it was like, $1,300. I was like, ma', am, no, please.
Jesse Lacey
All right. I love you, brother.
Zach Logan
Love you.

Two of my favorite human beings on planet Earth. I love you guys, your family. It's probably our Last Pride at TomTom West Hollywood. How you feeling?
Tom Sandoval
I'm feeling good, man. By the way, it's great to see you. It's great to be here. I haven't been to a bride. It just worked out that I haven't been able to come to bride because of filming House of Villains. And I think it was traitors or something. I had something going on. This is my first bride in two years.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
I feel great. I think TomTom might be gone, but all of our spirit will still be
Jesse Lacey
here and we'll haunt it, but in a positive way, right? To me, this is a time capsule. It's so much more. Dude, I was talking about this earlier with Zach. This was a formative experience for me, Tom. You witnessed it in real time. It helped me come up. It helped me find my voice, my confidence, and I think it turned me into the person that I am today.
Tom Sandoval
All of our experiences have turned us into the people we are today. The good, the bad, the ugly, the amazing, the highs, the lows. It makes us who exactly we are today and exactly why we are here right now.
Jesse Lacey
Dude, this has been one of the. I have some of the best memories of my entire life here with you and Kyle. And I don't say that lightly.
Tom Sandoval
I do not say likewise 100%. Dude, there's been so many experiences. I mean, I remember, like, experiencing my first pride at sur. Then I also remember, like, I remember, like, when, you know, the Pulse nightclub shooting happened and, like, all of us were so afraid to come. There was somebody that was stopped with rifles in their car. Like, it was so heavy and so unbelievable. Like, but we had to show up. We had to do it. And you know who led by example. And I will always appreciate her for this. Lisa. Lisa led by example by showing up. And I was so proud of her, you know, and. And so proud to be there because of all the oppression and all the things that happen for people just wanting to be themselves, this is why we are here and this is why we're in the best air. Like West Hollywood is always popping and it's always popping with positivity, excitement, happiness. It's a place of acceptance. And no matter who you are, no matter who you want to be, you go to West Hollywood, you will be accepted.
Jesse Lacey
The Pink Pony Club. You could be whoever you want to be in the, in the most radical, fabulous fucking way ever here.
Tom Sandoval
I agree.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
I love the Pain Pony Club.
Jesse Lacey
Tom. West Hollywood. Without West Hollywood, I don't think I would be the person, the man I am today. What are you going to miss most if this is our last pride? Not to ask you a stock question,
Tom Sandoval
you know what I think I would miss? Maybe a place that, like, we can walk in and call home. But you know what, at the end of the day, like at the end of the day we can walk in anywhere here and call it home. We feel at home here. So it doesn't matter, like whether TomTom closes, gets sold. Whatever happens, we'll always walk here and feel at home. I come here and I say, like on a random Tuesday, if I'm here, I walk by any place and I know 10 people at least. You know, I walk into every place, I know everybody there. Like we're always at home here. Yep.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
I don't think, I don't think TomTom's closure represent the. Wait, your question was what would happen if this last pride. I think the spirit would live on for sure.
Jesse Lacey
Kyle, you just said it so poignantly and so perfectly. By the way, unlike Schwartz and Sandy's, which is a whole other thing. I love shorts and Sandy's, but the neighborhood didn't embrace. West Hollywood embraced us.
Tom Sandoval
They really did. West Hollywood has fully embraced because West Hollywood embraces everybody. That's what's so great about it.
Jesse Lacey
Sorry I got excited.
Tom Sandoval
I mean, it doesn't matter. Everything from classy to trashy, like, I'm sorry, that's a cocktail book plug. But like, for real, like you can be, you can, you can, you can be as whatever you want to be here and be fully accepted and actually appreciate it.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
I agree.
Jesse Lacey
I've never felt more myself that I'm in. When I'm, when I'm in West Hollywood, I feel like the full essence of myself. We're both straight, but I don't know what it is I love. I just, I feel so honored to be a part of the community and be a Brisbane.
Tom Sandoval
We all have 50 shades of gray. We do. We all have 50 shades of ourselves. You can. You can be any shade of yourself and come to West Hollywood and feel fully, fully at home and fully welcome.
Zach Logan
I love.
Jesse Lacey
You know, I feel like it's safe to take risks here. Like, I think it's the first time I wore skinny jeans. Tom gave them to me. Do you remember when you first gave me my first pair of skinny jeans? I wore them in West Hollywood, dude.
Tom Sandoval
They were. When I first met you, you had no pants that didn't have holes in them. So I had to give you a pair of, like, good, actually, like, classy jeans because all your jeans not only had holes in them, but they had holes that, like, you. When I could tell, I could tell right away that you had been putting them on and putting your foot through the hole and. And pushing the hole fully open down, like, to your ankle. I could tell. See?
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
So I think this is the best place to be when you're a little bit not sure of your fashion choice and then you wanted to experience something like sassy, something sexy and you're too shy to wear in front of all of your straight friends. You come to West Hollywood and go all out.
Tom Sandoval
I mean, Brock just showed up in as a pink Cuban Pete.
Jesse Lacey
Dude. Was. Wait, was that of the mask reference?
Tom Sandoval
Yeah. I mean, did he look, he's wearing a full blown pink Cuban Pete.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
Like, it's like a tutu top, tutu top, tutu pants.
Tom Sandoval
It's like a. It's a fluffy, like, pants, fluffy top. It's basically like, imagine the mask. Cuban beat.
Jesse Lacey
His name is Cuban Pete Sandoval. You had a billboard for the jeans. What was the name of the jeans brand that you gave me?
Tom Sandoval
Rockin Republic.
Jesse Lacey
You gave me my first pair of skinny jeans. Rockin Republic. Was it on sand? It was on.
Tom Sandoval
It was literally right here. It was right here. It was on.
Jesse Lacey
It was on La Cienega and Santa Monica. Next to the cvs.
Tom Sandoval
Yes. Yeah, it really was. I. It was. It was my face on the billboard. It was crazy.
Jesse Lacey
That was before Vanderbump rules.
Tom Sandoval
It was before Vanderbump.
Jesse Lacey
Was that Via D? Was that Via D models?
Tom Sandoval
No, that was not via these models. That was photogenics. But what one thing I do.
Jesse Lacey
Sorry. Oh, yeah. Hi. Hey, guys. Oh. Oh, sorry, you guys. We're doing this live right now. They're trying to get the trash out. Oh, somebody upset.
Tom Sandoval
Hey.
Tom Schwartz
Hi.
Jesse Lacey
All right, let's run. We'll wrap it up.
Tom Sandoval
No, we're not.
Jesse Lacey
Wait, Tom, favorite memory.
Tom Sandoval
My Top of your head. Favorite memory that took place in West Hollywood. And especially with Tom. Tom. Dude, I'll never forget manual riffin how to make an entrance and how to, like, show up to our first, like, opening of our first place. Dude, I'll never forget the word motorcycle sidecar got brought up, and I literally. I you plan. That's the one thing about us, Schwartz. You plant a seed in my head. We plant a seed in each other's head. We make it happen. Dude, I literally flew somebody while we're filming the show to Miami to buy this motorcycle sidecar on set. It didn't run. This guy got it on a truck, got it back to, like, la. Then it, like, fully got stripped down, painted, created the logo. The lightning bolt.
Jesse Lacey
The lightning bought the side car in Miami, right?
Tom Sandoval
Huh? Yes, but so I had it flown back and I created the logo, which was. Was. Was a circle. It was the two T's circle that represented unity and the lightning bolt, which represented lightning in a bottle. The chance meeting of me and you on Craigslist, dude, I'll never forget it. One of the most happiest things of my life, man, was, like, us just riffing one night drunk, and then, like, making that dream actually come true. Showing up in our matching white suits, our matching gloves, our matching helmets in a motor motorcycle motherfucking sidecar. Dude, it was one of the coolest things ever. I mean, dude, I'm, like, literally getting really emotional thinking about it. It was. And you know what? I had speakers installed so I could play. So I could play.
Jesse Lacey
Don't say it. It's not my favorite movie.
Tom Sandoval
I know it's not your favorite movie,
Jesse Lacey
but, like, to tell the audience what their references.
Tom Sandoval
Varsity Blues Hero by Foo Fighters. First motherfucking song I played. He's like, there's speakers on this thing. I'm like, yes, there are speakers on this thing for a specific reason. So I could play this motherfucking song.
Jesse Lacey
Tom, do you remember Best friend? We've had so many prides here since we. Do you remember almost dying from heat when we were riding in the. During the parade. We did a parade in the sidecar.
Tom Sandoval
I had blisters in my hand. So I decided to do the motorcycle sidecar in the parade. And it's like stop and go. This is a clutch, you know? I mean, it's like driving a clutch like a car, you know? I mean, anybody who's ever driven a motorcycle.
Jesse Lacey
Can you explain it?
Tom Sandoval
So. So for any. Everybody who drives a motorcycle knows this, but essentially you, You. You have Gears, you have to shift. You have to hold down the clutch and you have to shift and, and gas it and go. And literally, like, it's gassing and going. Gassing and going. Foot on the clutch. Gas or sorry, hand on the clutch. Gassing and going. And it's like, dude, my hands were fully blistered by the end of it. But it was so worth it. It was so amazing. Everybody loved it. Dude, we. I feel like the motorcycle sidecar is a symbol of not only us, where we came from, where we started, and how dreams can happen with me and you, man. And how chance meetings on Craigslist can turn into something so huge. And you know what, dude? Literally the other day, literally the other day I was actually, I was talking to Richard Hatch because I just shot the Weakest Link with him and he was like, you know what, man? He's like, I watched a show and he's like, the one thing that myself and everybody connects to is. Is Ewan Schwartz. He's like, the fact that, like, you guys are two straight dudes that, like, can fucking, like, be open with their emotions and accept each other, hug each other, cry together, do everything, feel safe and not like, in a. In a self conscious way, but just fully be open and like, he's like, it's really inspiring. It's been. It's great to watch. And you know what, Shorts, I'll be honest with you. I can't wait for, like, us to, like, be on camera again. Like, it will happen someday.
Jesse Lacey
Me too. Hashtag. Me too. That was a jax reference.
Tom Sandoval
Oh, God.
Jesse Lacey
Not funny. Not funny.
Tom Sandoval
No, it's funny because he doesn't know what me too means. So, like, somebody will be like, jax. It was so funny when he said that. It was on the reunion. He was like, yeah, he does now, by the way. Yeah, he'll be like, oh, I agree with that. Hashtag, me too. You're like, dude, that's not what that means.
Jesse Lacey
That's the beauty. That's a Jackson.
Logan Cochran
I know.
Tom Sandoval
Kyle, wait, put a camera on this guy. Please put a camera on this guy.
Jesse Lacey
Casey, what are you gonna miss the most if TomTom, if it's our last pride.
Tom Sandoval
I miss.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
I miss the. The Sliders.
Jesse Lacey
The Ken Sliders.
Tom Schwartz
Yes.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
Oh, that's Ken Sliders. I didn't know that. I missed it. I missed the Sliders. I miss everybody here.
Jesse Lacey
Tom, do you remember the Gourmet. What do we call them?
Tom Sandoval
Oh, the Gourmet crunchwrap Supreme. That was originally on the menu here.
Jesse Lacey
That was. That was Tom's how do you say homage?
Tom Sandoval
The Taco Bell. I love a Crunchwrap Supreme.
Jesse Lacey
In my opinion, the best thing we ever had on the menu. They took it off because no one bought it.
Tom Sandoval
I know people were scared of it.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
They took the Daddy Diablo.
Tom Sandoval
Oh, oh, the Daddy Diablo with the buzz buttons. Buzz buttons.
Jesse Lacey
Sandoval. Say on this note, I don't know if I'm proud of a lot of things in my life, but our cocktail menu. We put our heart and soul, Kyle. We put our heart and soul. We were in the laboratory in the kitchen five days a week for months. And listen, as time went on, it wasn't always practical to keep our. But dude, at one point, I'm telling you, it was one of the best cocktail menus I've ever had in my life. Tom, can you tell them about the Ghost of Mary or no. Is that secret?
Tom Sandoval
No, no, of course not. So, like, one of my favorite, one of my favorite drinks I ever created. And this came from a concept. It was. I'm gonna do. I wanna, I wanna tell you the easiest way and trashiest way to make a Bloody Mary, and also the most classiest and coolest way to make a Bloody Mary. And I had this idea. I was like, I'm gonna make and create a Bloody Mary that is white. And that took a lot of time, a lot of research, and I figured it out.
Jesse Lacey
So people, how do you make a white Bloody Mary?
Tom Sandoval
So this is what you do. You put all the ingredients in there. You could do green. Yes, yes. Kyle. Kyle just. Kyle just said a jerking off. This is how you do it. So what you do is you use the arugula, you put the old bay, you put all the spices in there. You use, you can use yellow tomatoes, green tomatoes, all those things. And you, you make the Bloody Mary mix, right? Yeah. And then you freeze it, right? You freeze the Bloody Mary mix, then you let it strain. You let it strain. And all the water that comes out brings none of the color, but all of the flavor. Yes. Wow.
Jesse Lacey
Yes, it's very tedious. And yeah, it's. It's labor some, but it's worth it.
Tom Sandoval
Guess what? My, my friend was in Montana, A really good friend of mine, Ross Kelly, who, Who produced the tip video, he was in Montana.
Jesse Lacey
For the people who don't remember, touch
Tom Sandoval
in public, Charles McMansion. So he, he was in Montana. Whitefish Montana. He went to a bar there and guess what? They had the Ghost of Mary on the menu. And it was my recipe. Yes.
Jesse Lacey
Dude, you know what? One of my favorite memories Was me and you finding the chef pairing menu. And we put them. We put melon, cantaloupe, cinnamon, vanilla, and honey. Dude, we made some of the best cocktails I've ever had in my life.
Tom Sandoval
I knew that it would go together so well. It went. I haven't made that drink in a really long time. Dude, I haven't made that drink in a long time. Also, just so you guys know, you can make a bloody Mary very easily. If you are in your dorm room right now and your roommate is gone, and you pull an empty water bottle out that's got the lines at the bottom, you know, like the. You know, the Kroger brand or whatever. Like. So what you do is you fill it up to the first line with water or. Sorry, fill up to the first line with vodka. That's two ounces. Fill it up to the second line, that's one ounce with water. Three ketchup packets, two cholula packets. Then you put the bottle cap back on. You shake it, you put it over ice, pull out a pepper packet, pour it over it, dump it over ice. You can add a little bit of tabasco if you want, but that is actually a damn good bloody Mary.
Jesse Lacey
I remember you gave me a taste of it. It's actually delicious.
Tom Sandoval
You know how I tested it? You know how I test was I made these drinks. I made also a drink out of taco bell sauce packets. But I made these drinks and I would, like, bottle them and I would pour them into a glass and like, dress it up. And I'd be like, what do you think? Damn, that's a good bloody Mary. And I'm like, you know what that was made out of? You want to show you what just happened? And I'd show them the video of me making it.
Jesse Lacey
Kyle, you are someone who's made me appreciate craftsmanship. Artist, Artistry.
Tom Sandoval
Yes.
Jesse Lacey
On the street, when you come into Kyle Chan's store, if. Well, let's not go there. But in my opinion, you make the best old fashioned of all time. Wait, one last thing. Favorite memories? Favorite. No. Favorite number one. Favorite memory. TomTom.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
Favorite memory of tomtom's probably the sidecar.
Tom Sandoval
We go around.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
And then I met Dakota Fanning and I accidentally thought she was someone else.
Tom Sandoval
Oh, yeah, yeah. Dakota Fanning rode on my motorcycle sidecar. I'll send you a clip of it. But, dude, it was so amazing. She had so much fun. Her mind, she was so lit up. By the way, I do want to give. I got to give a shout out to Kyle Chan. This guy is a fucking legend. He's not only an amazing jewelry designer who's had a story in everything. Like, literally everybody think of a person. Like literally put a, put a, put a wall of celebrities, throw a dart at it. Like, he's made jewelry for that person. And he's such an amazing human being. Guy is self made and also like encompasses what is so great about West Hollywood. Like Kyle, like we met at Pomp, I think I was actually like, yeah, we met at pump fuck 14 years ago. And Kyle has just been such an amazing light in both of our lives. And just, he's the kind of person that keeps you grounded but like also bumps you up. And like, I don't know. Kyle, you're. You're such an awesome dude and I'm honored to know you.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
Thank you, thank you. It takes one to know one.
Tom Sandoval
Yeah.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
Yeah. You two are super amazing also. You guys are loyal and genuine. And when I first met you guys, I really go, these are the friends that I wanted for a lifetime.
Jesse Lacey
Even though we're a liability sometimes, we love you. You stuck by our side through thick and thin. What are you talking about? No, not Sandoval. Me.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
Sandoval needs PR training. I think his rebellious personality got him in trouble, but at least he's truthful.
Jesse Lacey
At least. Yeah. Speaks from the heart. Wait, I don't want to kill the vibe. I love you guys. Let's, let's, let's go back in.
Tom Sandoval
Yeah, let's. You know what, we could talk about this all day. The festival's going on right now. Everybody's having drinks. Everybody's having a great time. I love it. That's the great thing about West Hollywood and Bride. Like, you know, we run into like that, like there's the cast here from the Valley, there's people here from Vanderbump Rules. We're all just having a great time. Yeah.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
If you guys don't see us next year at TomTom, I'm pretty sure you'll find us in Mass Hollywood somewhere.
Jesse Lacey
You'll find us at the Bayou probably.
Tom Sandoval
At least we should go to the Bayou and grab some jello shots.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
Bayou for jello shot?
Jesse Lacey
Yeah, Bayou jello shots.
Tom Sandoval
Hey, by the way, if you're in West Hollywood though, you do got to go by fucking Kyle Chan store and oh my gosh, it's such an experience. The guy is the most like eclectic. Like, like collection of whiskeys, scotches, everything. And he also makes amazing cocktails. And then that's on top of his amazing jewelry design. Just go by, get the experience. I'm sorry. I'm trying. I'm not trying. I'm just like, really like. I've never experienced anything like it before. It's really fucking cool.
Jesse Lacey
Also, again, just to leave on the West Hollywood. No pride. The best place to be whoever you want to be. Pink Pony Club. Right. You can be whoever you.
Tom Sandoval
Exactly it. That's why that song is so, like, everybody connects to that. Because you can be exactly whoever you want to be on even that day in that moment.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
That's right. If you're not happy or you're having some sort of situation situationship, you can always come to West Hollywood, dress, put on the outfit that you've always want to put on and just come and have fun.
Tom Sandoval
Or just put on some fucking basketball shorts. Either way you want will be celebrated and appreciated.
Jesse Lacey
Yes. Come to WeHo. Love Pride. Let your freak flag fly in the most sweet way. I don't mean that condescendingly or. Yeah. Anyways, you guys, thank you.
Tom Sandoval
Love you, Schwartz.
Jesse Lacey
Love you, Sandoval.
Unknown Guest (possibly a friend or regular at TomTom)
Love you all.
Tom Sandoval
Love you, Kyle. Love you, Kyle.
Jesse Lacey
All right, let's go back in.
Tom Sandoval
Retoxification complete.
