It's now time for your weekly retox with Tom Schwartz.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
New york.
Tom Schwartz
I love new york. Okay, okay, okay, okay. I'm up. I'm up. King of the hill, top of the heap. I get it. Oh, who needs sleep in a city that never sleeps anyways, right? A city so nice they named it twice. You know what I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah, I know you feel that? My favorite city in the world. And it's not even close. Just hearing Old Blue Eyes when you're in New York City, man, it just hits different. I know you know what I'm talking about. And if you don't, you should. Concrete jungle where dreams are made of there's nothing you can't do. I mean, come on, stick with me here. I mean, the freaking Knicks just swept the Cavs for the first time since 1999. They're headed into the NBA playoffs. I had frosted tips in 1999. By the time you hear this, people will probably still be partying in the streets. I mean, New York City, it's where Harry met Sally. It's where Peter Parker became effing Spider Man. Luke Broderick, our guest today, arguably the most Rugged man on Bravo. He just won his first beauty pageant. And I know that didn't happen in New York. It was in San Diego. But still, it's got me feeling like anything is possible. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. And I'm just never more excited, ambitious about life than when I'm in New York City, you know? Yeah, it's like the opening credits to your own movie. It's just. I don't know, man. When you first see that city skyline, it's your time to shine, baby. I always feel cinematic, extra romantic when I'm in New York City. You know what I'm saying? You guys with me on this. I feel like Elf when he first arrives in New York City. Every time I'm here, I just want to go in every bodega, diner, mom and pop, dive bar on the east side. Where you at? It's electrifying. Like, no joke. I can feel New York in my soul. But, yeah, I'm here. We're here for Watch what happens live with Luke. And no, just for the record, I didn't fill in for Danny. I don't think he dodged it as a PR move. He booked a job. But, yeah, with Luke. If you're listening to this, thank you. I appreciate the love. The Luke Broderick, a true outdoorsman. Bravo's. Bravo's Jeremiah Johnson, right? Grizzly Adams, the man that can do it all. He can hunt, fish, build a shed with his bare hands. Definitely knows which plants you should or shouldn't wipe your ass with when you're in the wild, probably at least. But. Yeah, I'm just wondering what he thinks. In New York. I think he's only been here one other time with Britney, and he barely went out. I've been in love with New york since, shit, 2007. Love at first sight. The thought of Luke in New York, I don't know, it makes me think like Joe Buck in Midnight Cowboy, except he. He's not naive, and he's definitely not a gigolo. Um, if you haven't seen that movie, you're like, what are you talking about, Schwartz? Anyways, don't let Laid back Luke fool you. Although he is very laid back and chill, you'd be foolish to underestimate him. He's smart as a whip, and he has a pretty effing crazy life leading up to our little moment together in New York City. And I'm happy and proud to call him a friend. Yeah, I think we were both blown away just seeing how undeniably beautiful of a woman. He is my God. Poise Grace just he was the moment. If you watched the Valley pageant last week, I mean it's like he was possessed by the spirit of a young princess. Diane Grace Kelly I like he just man he had it and I just wondered how did the most rugged man in the group become the most beautiful old blue eyes Luke we're in New York City and we're going to take you with for a little episode of Watch what happens live. Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
This is the pre game interview.
Luke Broderick

Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Thoughts, feelings?
Luke Broderick
Thoughts, feelings. I think Andy still likes me.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
I think everyone likes you. You're hard not to like.
Luke Broderick
That's nice of you to say.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
All right, this is pre game it. Pre game interview. We're gonna do a postgame interview backstage. Backstage, moments before going on live.
Tom Schwartz
Watch what happens. All right, we'll be back.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
You're not crazy.
Luke Broderick
Jokes are the best. The most obvious dad jokes. It's like, you know what's coming, but it's still gonna be funny.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
You guys, we literally just finished Watch what happens live. Alex, how did we do?
Progressive Insurance Advertiser
Amazing.
Luke Broderick
Okay, she's. She's paid to say that, but rate your performance.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
We're here. Luke Broderick, the only man on Bravo to wear Carhartt in earnest. How you doing, brother?
Luke Broderick
Dude, great. Honestly, what. What a day already. I think I maybe should earn most improved on Bravo easily.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Most improved. Did you or did you not bring a fishing pole to New York City? Wait, did you or did you not bring a fishing pole to New York City?
Luke Broderick
I think we should do a poll and see what people think. But yet. Yeah. I may have a travel pole in my. In my check bag.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Dude, seeing you in New York City because you're such a rugged outdoorsman and I love you for that, but it's like a weird juxtaposition because you just got back from Colorado. I've never seen you happier than when you ran over your phone with your tractor.
Luke Broderick
I didn't publish that. Did I send it to you? You showed me.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Oh, yeah. We're at dinner. We went to Lally's birthday dinner.
Luke Broderick
Dude, I didn't even post it. I should post it. Me running over my phone. Yeah. With my tractor. It's pretty funny.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
I feel like it's so good for you. I think it's good for your. Wait, why is it following me?
Luke Broderick
Because you put your face track on you.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
I don't want to do that, but I feel like it's so. It nourishes your soul when you go back, doesn't it?
Luke Broderick
Dude, you know, I mean, like, literally, when I cross Raton Pass from New Mexico into Colorado, it's just like weight lifts off me. I'm, like, floating in the air, and then I come with it down the hill, and I'm like. I can see 150 miles. That's literally. Literally Pikes Peak. I Can see in the distance. The air is clean. There's no smog. It's amazing.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
The air is rarefied. What you know what you guys know about rugby?
Luke Broderick
Mountain Rugby rock.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Rugby rock. What you guys know about rugby rock?
Luke Broderick
Rugby Rocks Festival. Only 500 tickets this year, so get them when you can. Wait.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
This is your second time in New York? It's my favorite city in the world. I think it's the most romantic city in the world. Do you love it?
Luke Broderick
I'm enjoying it. This trip. I've spent a total of 72 ish hours here now at this point, not in this trip, in cumulative, in my life. 72 hours and the last 24 have been pretty great.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
We're about to go ride bikes. We're going to hit the city. I took you to some dive bars last night. I took you to Spring Lounge, which is an iconic dive bar. I'm sorry that it smelled like fresh vomit. What's your hot take on Spring Lounge?
Luke Broderick
Sorry, my smell is kind of broken. Got a bit of a cold. But it was great. No, honestly, there was this awesome bar fight. Dude, I love a bar fight.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
I love. There was a bar room brawl last night at Spring Lounge. Mind you, it was a Tuesday.
Luke Broderick
On a Tuesday, two guys got in some sort of weird fight where a rocks glass was thrown and people came out the house bleeding. People were bleeding coming out of the bar.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
We were almost collateral damage, by the way. I felt one of the little shards of glass hit my face.
Luke Broderick
No shit. Yeah, dude. The cops came. There's a fire truck. I had stepped out the door three seconds before punches started being thrown. I spin around, I'm like, I'm just outside the cage. Hit him, hit him, hit him. I'm like, yeah, beat his ass. Then a rock slash comes flying across and busts everywhere. People bleeding from glass cuts. It was crazy.
Tom Schwartz
It was actually insane on a Tuesday.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Wait, what's your favorite part about New York so far?
Luke Broderick
Searching for city bikes for about 30 minutes with Tom.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
I'm sorry. Yes. We're gonna find bikes after this. We're gonna eat some pizza. We're gonna have the best day ever.
Luke Broderick
Definitely more pizza, but. Anyone guesses who did my hair?
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
I did his hair.
Luke Broderick
Yeah. On a break during Watch what Happens live.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Is this your second Watch what Happens Live.
Luke Broderick
It is my second. Let's see what it looks like going back. Oh, wow. Maybe that's how it should be.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Wait, you guys. We're in. This is one of the green rooms. There's two green rooms. Wait, look at that. Oh, they took our names down already. Wait, Alex, can we show? So you guys, this is the green room. Look at that. Look at you above me. Look at you above me. Look at you.
Luke Broderick
You're. I'm still. I'm still a. Bravo peasant.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
You're not a peasant. You're royalty. Wait, should we do a quick tour? Just under five minutes. Alex said five. This is the five minute podcast with Luke Broderick. Live nyc.
Luke Broderick
Live nyc. We're going fishing.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Wait, we'll show you guys real quick. This is what it's like to walk from the green room into the studio. But we're not actually going to go into the studio because they're filming another episode.
Luke Broderick
It's late for the spring striper run, but we're going to the Hudson with the fishing pole.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
You guys stick with me, okay? All right. Stick with me. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Thanks, brother. Okay, so this is where you get ready. You get glammed out, Luke. Very glamorous, very chic. He is the moment. He is the moment. So, okay, you walk out here into the hallway. That's the other green room right there.
Luke Broderick
That's Tom's room. I'm gonna trade your snacks.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
So you walk right down here about maybe like seven feet. And that's the studio right behind us. That's the studio, dude.
Luke Broderick
Right in there. That's where Andy Cohen lives. He lives in there.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
It's a lot smaller than you think, but Andy's larger than life, so it feels big, doesn't it?
Luke Broderick
Dude, Andy feels big.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
I know, that's what I'm saying. He's iconic.
Luke Broderick
He's not a really high, biggest stature person, but a huge in personality.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
He has like Lisa Vanderpump energy. She's small, but she fills up a room. She lights up a room.
Luke Broderick
I haven't really had any kind of interaction with Lisa, so I. I can't really, you know, he doesn't know Lisa.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Laura, Wait, let's leave with this. Look at, look at this. There's a. Wow. Sierra.
Luke Broderick
Guys, huh?
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Yes. Oh, my God.
Luke Broderick
Wait. Wow.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Wait, you guys, where's it? Where's. Oh, my God. Nia. Wait. Anderson,
Luke Broderick
look. Look down here. Look who we got.
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Oh, my God. Jimmy. Oh, my God. Maybe the most Sarah Jessica Parker. My God. Wait, where are we? Am I on here? Sorry, I'm trying to find myself. There's. There's Lala. Where's Lala? There's Lala. I saw Sandoval. There's Sando Seacrest. Where's Kristen? Obviously our Boy. Craig, where are you?
Luke Broderick
Luke, I should be on there from last year. Unless they. They probably wipe it every three months
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)

Luke Broderick

Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)

Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Where are we and what are we doing?
Luke Broderick
We are at the world famous Starbucks lounge in Supreme Coffee. Is that what's called?
Interviewer / Host (Tom Schwartz)
Look at this. It's a Starbucks reserve. You guys, look at this shit. Okay, look at this. We got a Matcha Margarita. We got a espresso Martini flight. And this is the conclusion of the shortest podcast episode ever. I just wanted to say, Luke, thank you for doing this with me, New York. I love you, Andy Cohen. I love you. Anything you want to say?
Luke Broderick

This short, punchy episode is less about grand revelations and more about vibe: the wonder of New York as seen through the eyes of Bravo’s odd couple—a city romantic and a mountain man. You’ll get stories of live TV, rowdy bars, unexpected glamour, and the grounding power of friendship.
No deep dives into wellness this week—just authentic, human moments and off-the-cuff hilarity in Manhattan after dark.
