Who is John Michael?

Welcome to my world! I'm John Michael, the driving force behind Difference Makers. As a seasoned Learning Experience Design Engineer (LXD) with over three decades of expertise, I specialise in creating immersive educational experiences by integrating instructional design, user experience, cognitive psychology, and neuroscience. My passion lies in leadership development and coaching, drawing on a rich tapestry of neuroscience, psychology and Biblical insights to guide us all toward purposeful living.

The Blueprint of a Purposeful Life

Once a Brit now residing in Singapore, I craft stories that both teach and entertain, firmly believing that "You were made on purpose for a purpose." My unique blend of scientific curiosity, devotion to Christ, and a (British/Singaporean) sense of humour (complete with the spelling to match) invites you to embark on a thrilling journey of transformation. When I'm not conjuring culinary masterpieces in the kitchen or revelling in prayer strolls with my rescue dog, Joy, my life pulsates with creativity and faith. As a devoted follower of Christ, my spiritual beliefs are the bedrock of both my personal life and creative endeavours.

With academic laurels including a DBA in Learning and Development and an MBA in Technology Management, I channel a vast array of knowledge into my writing. My mastery in behavioural neuroscience, technology, and personal growth injects my stories with a sharpness that offers vivid mental simulations, engaging and inspiring both heart and mind.

In my debut serialisation, "The Difference Makers," I masterfully blend complex scientific concepts with biblical principles and captivating storytelling. My writing style balances clever banter, situational humour, and sly irony within cyberpunk sci-fi plots, bringing a light touch to profound themes. Drawing inspiration from sci-fi legends like Douglas Adams, Iain M. Banks, and Arthur C. Clarke, alongside literary humorists such as Tom Sharpe and Jasper Fforde, I create stories that captivate readers of all ages.
