Now sit back and prepare to be distracted and enjoy the show.
Bob Muyskens
Hello, and welcome back to another episode of your favorite podcast. Right? That's right. It's Distractible. I'm your host because I won the last one. My name's Bomb. Welcome. This is my episode. It's going to be great. Practically guaranteed. I only host bangers, I'm pretty sure, as I recall. And I'm joined, as always, by the two competitors for today's episode. Mark, sipping his fancy coffee mug and Wade. Something about a tapered coffee mug. It's just very elegant.
Mark Fischbach
And it's from the dmz.
Wade Barnes
Ooh. I too have a beverage. It's mandarin orange.
Bob Muyskens
That is not what that looks like to me. Is that flavored water Mandarin or.
Wade Barnes
Trust me, the GE is there. It is orange.
Bob Muyskens
Anyway, great. I have a drink, too. We're all doing it, guys. If you've never seen this show before, it's a show where the points are all made up and matter an incredible amount. There's also coin flips. It'll be funny. Unless it's not. It's all kinds. Everything. This show is all things to all people and also nothing to nobody. Before we get into the topic for today's episode. How's. How you doing? It's getting small talk.
Mark Fischbach
I have a small talk. I've been doing quite a bit of five nights at Freddy's. It is so weird to play it again. And it is so embarrassing how little strength I have anymore in my gamer hands.
Wade Barnes
They're getting old.
Mark Fischbach
Hell, I've gotten better even over the past week I've gotten stronger, but when I was first trying to do it, because doing the tonight 1020 modes in this, you have to have really fast, you know, controlled motion, which requires you to basically be tense, you know, with your grip and press buttons very quickly and responsively. After even an hour of playing, trying to practice and doing the things, I was moving like an old man. Just a pound of meat in a tube, you know, the tube of meat. And I've learned that that's a great like roller for, you know, sore forearms. I put it on the countertop and
Wade Barnes
I just imagine like between nights you're like wiping the brow, rubbing the meat.
Mark Fischbach
And so it's, it's been really, really telling, but, you know, kind of fun. And also I, I have a little, not much more, but a little more respect for like streamers that play high competitive FPSs all day, every day. Because it's like. Yeah, it's actually.
Wade Barnes
Woo.
Mark Fischbach
Workout. Or is it really? There was a time where I was playing for like an hour and a half straight and because I was so tense up arms and shoulders, like I was, I was. I started sweating. It's 70 degrees. I have an air conditioner in here.
Bob Muyskens
And just like, what the fuck?
Mark Fischbach
Holy. I've never had this ever in my life.
Wade Barnes
Dude, you. I literally got the slap tear playing a healer in an MMO lost ark. Like I. That's. It popped. While I was playing as a healer doing. We were doing this raid on repeat. We couldn't beat it. So like two hours of running this raid, I'm trying to heal everybody and there's just this loud pop and I'm just excruciating pain and people are like, need a heal. Did he try? Just a lot of pain one second and I'm getting yelled at because I'm not healing as well. And that's, that's when I got the slap there. Yeah. Gaming's no joke. When you're a teenager, early 20s, you got a mini fridge with like energy drinks. Our age, you got the freezer with the roll of meat next to your desk.
Mark Fischbach
I want to get like those. You can have like ice packs that you can wrap around and I kind of will use them as wrist rests because they've got beads in them. So it's like they. They're kind of perfect beaded wrist rests.
Wade Barnes
I've had to use one for my knee. You get one of those big ones, you put it in a pillowcase. Yeah, just wrap that sucker.
Bob Muyskens
Have you gotten gamer hands? Gamer cramp hands yet, Mark. That's the thing that I don't get injuries, but that's the thing my body likes to do. I'll be playing something super casual. Like I'll stream for a few hours and something really casual. I'm not even playing, like fast paced. And then I feel fine. I'm like playing, playing. And then I stop playing. Like I take a break or the stream ends and I lift my hands up and my hands just go, yeah. And I like can't move them for a minute and I'm like, oh, fuck. God, I forgot to drink water for the last month. Fuck.
Mark Fischbach
That's like how I was when I burnt my hands. I haven't had that from playing games, but definitely when I burnt my hands. That would happen where periodically they would see right after the burn. Of course it was on the way to the hospital. So I'd be in the car and I would just be like, oh, it's not so bad. Burns. Oh man, that was. Glad that's over. So it was this weird thing and that.
Wade Barnes
I can't imagine going through that. That sounds absolutely miserable. What do you even, like, you try to pass the time. You can't even like browse your phone. That's the part of you used to do that. So that you're like slamming your head into your lap like next.
Bob Muyskens
I mean, honestly, it wasn't. I mean it was a long time ago now, but like it was kind of before scrolling on your phone was the thing to do. I feel like that was still in the era where it was like, oh, I'm gonna go get on. On dig it and click around the Internet and you could kind of like, I'm gonna go on Reddit. But it's old Reddit. It's different. It's not like it is now, but you probably just like watch watch shows or something, right? I mean it was. That was a while ago.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't the worst thing. I think that as soon as I got to the hospital, they made the mistake of putting the cuff on my arm for blood pressure, which all it does is squeeze blood down there. So they put that first and I didn't question it. So I was just like, the machine goes, bo and I'm like, oh no, here it comes.
Bob Muyskens
Oh no.
Mark Fischbach
Until the doctor comes and takes one looks and you know it's bad when the doctor goes, yipes. You know, eyes ball gently, you know.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, I've never seen the Scooby Doo doctor. That's.
Mark Fischbach
I'm glad she ripped off, put on my leg, which I didn't realize was a possibility, but you could just put the blood pressure thing on your leg.
Wade Barnes
So, yeah, I imagine it's more accurate on your arm, but good enough on the leg or something. I don't know.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, probably.
Wade Barnes
I've never seen that either.
Mark Fischbach
My blood pressure probably isn't the biggest issue for. For me when I burn my hands.
Wade Barnes
Doctor comes in, like, shakes your hands, like, oh, whoopsies. Looking great.
Mark Fischbach
High five.
Bob Muyskens
No, Right, sorry, sorry.
Wade Barnes
You want to do a Tootsie Tickler?
Bob Muyskens
Oh, I'll just give him a clap on the shoulder. What do you got going on?
Mark Fischbach
Mandarin orange guy?
Wade Barnes
Pretty chill, actually. We had a nice chill weekend. Minimize social obligations for once. Been doing a lot of Pokemon card hunting and opening. I don't know, man. The hobbies. It's nice having a hobby, but my personality does not allow me to, like, dabble. I'm either all in on something or not in at all. And I know I'm like that. The gotcha era of my life taught me that. It's like, oh, I could just go for this one new unit and use some, like, SRS or rare stuff. I'm like, n. There's other banners. There's other super rares. I could have a better team. Where is it? 1% drop rate? More like 0.76. I'm below the average, dude. I go. I go, ham. And the Pokemon cards, I'm learning. Someone messaged me the other day. They're like, hey, is this a good set to get Chaos Rising? I was like, yeah, Chaos Rising is okay. And they're like, what about Ascended Heroes or Prismatic? No, the pull rates are abysmal. Trust me. I've opened 10 million packs, and I'm like, dude, I went from not knowing anything about this to, like, advising people on the pull rates. I've gotten way too into this in two months.
Bob Muyskens
I'm glad I'm not like that as a person. I'm still. I'm definitely getting into Pokemon. I've decided I'm collecting Pitch Black because it's the newest one. It's the newest set that just came out, and you can still get it on shelves through my whole stick, which I think I've told you guys, is retail only. I've been looking, and I've like, oh, Amazon sells Pokemon cards? No, it's like resellers, and even the ones that are through Amazon are, like, clearly marked up. Like, I am buying two packs at a time. Every time I happen to be at A store that carries them. The ETB that I got was an accident. I went into a store, a Walmart, to get, like, washer fluid and, like, random House shit, right? And I just happened to see a guy in line and wandered over. I'll take One of the four ETBs you have today that you just putting out. And you have a security guard next to Cool.
Wade Barnes
ETB stands for Elite Trainer Box. It's the box of cards.
Bob Muyskens
Yeah, it's just a box has. Oh, sorry. Yeah, sorry, Mark. Sorry, Mark.
Mark Fischbach
I'm just laughing along, you know, he said something.
Bob Muyskens
Honestly, I only know what that one means. I swear to God. There's just a bunch of acronyms. And anyone who talks about Pokemon, who does it like Wade does it, is just like, oh, yeah, I got the Ascended Heroes grs, and I got the. The. The three Triple ten. And I'm like, what the fuck? What is all this shit? Like, it's packs of cards, right? What am I missing? But there's a bunch of different ways that they're.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, I know. Like, sir is like, the rarest ones or something. And then I know conditions like NM is near mint, lp, lightly played, mp, moderately played, hp, heavily played. It's like the condition. The more played it is, the worst the condition is. I know that lingo. After that, I don't know all the lingo either.
Bob Muyskens
I will say if you. It's not new. I don't think. If you want to be disillusioned about your collection of Pokemon cards, you should watch Ludwig's Video where he let Chat buy a bunch. Like, it was like $10,000 worth of cards. They, like, let pick. Help them pick stuff, and they bought a bunch. And they were. Some of them. Most of them were graded. Some of them were not. I think. Or actually, I think they were all graded. But then he broke the case, sent them to Tag to get graded, got a grade, broke the case, sent them to another place to get graded, and then sent them back to psa. Because a lot of them started out as psa, and I don't know what the statistical breakdown is, but they're all over the fucking place. Like, it's just arbitrary. He had one. Like, he had ones where it was like, this was PSA nine, and then this. These people gave it a six, and then these people gave it a seven and a half, and then it went back to PSA and they gave it a seven. Joe, I just lost $1,000 and I paid them all for the privilege. Man. That's not a great investment, is It.
Wade Barnes
If you get a good grade, don't do that. Leave it alone.
Bob Muyskens
I've never.
Wade Barnes
I've not sent any cards in for grading.
Bob Muyskens
I kind of want to do it just to see how it works, but I have. I've only opened 20 packs, a couple dozen packs total. I don't have anything that would be interesting to grade yet. I doubt that's gonna happen if I don't go and buy from the card shops, like, and. And whatever. Indulge all the scalpers and people.
Wade Barnes
The card shops are all right. The scout. Scalping is rough.
Bob Muyskens
I'm glad you have a new. I was gonna call it an addiction, but that feels mean.
Wade Barnes
It kind of. I mean it. No.
Bob Muyskens
A new hobby. Diction.
Wade Barnes
I had old sets from the 90s. Like, I had the original, so it was called Base, then jungle, then Fossil, Base 2, Rocket, and then there were a couple other sets. I've got almost all of those complete because I just had them almost complete as a kid. So I've been trying to, like, find the few cards here and there missing to complete those sets. And then I was working on Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge series, which is the end of the first era, I guess, of Pokemon cards. And there's, like, another. It's divided into, like, eras for some reason, I don't know. But all my old sets, I'm like, I kind of want to complete these. And then, you know, new sets, I'm kind of like, I don't know that I want to complete them all. I'll just go for the cards I like. And usually it ends up being the full arts cards, which means the whole card is artwork. So, yeah, I've gotten. I've gone. I've gone pretty deep.
Bob Muyskens
That sounds like it's good for you.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, well, it's something to do rehab for. My knee's been going well.
Bob Muyskens
Did you walk yet?
Wade Barnes
Yeah, actually pretty well. I'm even doing stairs without having to, like, brace. I was walking like I was, you know, 99 years old and on my deathbed for a little bit.
Bob Muyskens
It seemed pretty bad. It seemed worse than just need some physical therapy.
Wade Barnes
But I've gone about a week and a half with no brace, no knee brace, and moving pretty well. Inclines and stairs can sometimes still give me issue. The physical therapy started off with some of the easiest stuff. They're like, all right, lay your leg down. Now straighten it. Do that 10 times. I was like, oh, hell yeah. Now we're at the point where they're like, all right, do 15 sets of 15 squats in the next 30 seconds. Wait, what? All right, cool. Now do 30 leg lifts. Do on your side. Do 30 more.
Mark Fischbach
Sean T. From Insanity comes out.
Bob Muyskens
All right, five. Yes.
Wade Barnes
Man. I start off as, like, Molly. This is so much easier. When I did physical therapy for my shoulder, it really hurts. I had a tear. My knee's not torn, so this has actually been pretty good. And then last time I went, dude, my hip. I'm like, my knees feeling better, but now my hip hurts from the physical therapy.
Bob Muyskens
I'm gonna need more physical therapy for that.
Wade Barnes
So I've been watching because other people that come in for physical therapy the same time as me had, like, hip replacements. So I'm watching their stretches, and I've been going home doing those because I'm like, my hips hurt so bad from the pt. Maybe I need to PT my hip, too. So I've been doing exercises for kind of both things, but other than physical therapy and card collecting, not a whole lot here. Power Wash 2. Have you played the Star Wars DLC?
Mark Fischbach
No, I have not. I've only been playing five nights at Freddy's.
Wade Barnes
The sprays make, like, blaster noises, like,
Bob Muyskens
constantly or just, like, every time when
Wade Barnes
you first click, if you're holding it, it does it. But if you, like, click, it's like,
Bob Muyskens
this is the whole time you're holding it down. It's like a space battle. Just like chaos. Like, man, that's so relaxing.
Wade Barnes
Oh, it's so good. It's actually. Anyway, I think that's it for me. If there's more, I don't remember it.
Mark Fischbach
I got a little more, and then I'll let it go. It's, you know, nothing too crazy. Only GoPro is now dead to me again. No, they were never dead to me.
Bob Muyskens
Oh, okay.
Mark Fischbach
No, this is. This is only moderately, moderately something.
Wade Barnes
There's only moderate death. Only moderately dead to me.
Bob Muyskens
Only mostly dead.
Mark Fischbach
I've been enjoying the mission one. It's been nice. Code markiplier.
Wade Barnes
Sorry.
Mark Fischbach
Code distractible. I apologize.
Bob Muyskens
Oh, do we actually have that? That's a real thing?
Mark Fischbach
Yeah. You've had that for weeks.
Bob Muyskens
Okay, good. Okay.
Wade Barnes
We've done so much good advertising for.
Mark Fischbach
That's the thing. It's like, eventually I'll record an actual review or so. They're dead to me.
Wade Barnes
Right?
Mark Fischbach
Because the ILS has been something I've been craving. I went to nab just to, like, try to get my hands on that. I have lenses I've already bought for that specifically. I'm so ready. I got adapters and everything. I'M so eager. I open my Instagram and there's someone named Gimbal God that already has it and has been given to it by GoPro. And I feel betrayed. Four days ago. Four days ago.
Wade Barnes
Watch it. Be like the CEO of GoPro. Mark's like, I can't believe this guy got it before me.
Mark Fischbach
Hold on. Yeah, maybe. Who is this?
Bob Muyskens
Lead engineer on the ILS model of the GoPro mission.
Wade Barnes
This guy named GoPro owner got this GoPro before me. Unbelievable. The betrayal.
Mark Fischbach
No, no, I don't think that's it, but I don't think so. No, no, no way. No way.
Wade Barnes
It's not Mr. Pro.
Mark Fischbach
I feel like, you know, I'm right here. I got my GoPro shirt. I've got a GoPro shirt on before
Bob Muyskens
that, like the last couple episodes. You've been consistent.
Mark Fischbach
Have I? Oops. This one shirt.
Bob Muyskens
Well, no, you had a different one last. I feel like last time we recorded you had a different GoPro shirt. I just remember being like, oh, he's wearing the shirt.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, I do, but not anymore until I get an ils.
Bob Muyskens
Is there a release date for it? Is it eminent? Or they just. Is it one of those where they're not given a hard date for it?
Mark Fischbach
They've nebulously said Q3, so they just like got the last of the accessories for the baseline out. They just got the media mod out finally. And they got the.
Bob Muyskens
Oh, there is going to have a media mod.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that's nice and all. That's nice. But really I want the lenses. I want to be able to do the lenses. I love my little 3D printed macro adapter, but it's like I have a dedicated macro lens waiting. Multiple actually macro lenses waiting to go on to the GoPro. I have them just. I've.
Wade Barnes
I've talk about that for a while. I'll be right back.
Mark Fischbach
So I. I forbid anyone from using my promo code or distractibles. We are a united front in boycotting until we get. I.
Bob Muyskens
Until we. You get the thing you want. We want comrades.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah. The royal we me of it all. You know, the me.
Bob Muyskens
I feel like that's very fair. I feel like that's. That's on them. The solution is clear.
Mark Fischbach
There's. There's another thing that's been a funny thing. There's. When I've been doing five nights at Freddy's with this, you know, trying to beat it, I've actually had to do math.
Bob Muyskens
Dun, dun, dun. Oh, no.
Mark Fischbach
There is a certain amount of flashlight battery you have which amounts to 50 seconds in the whole night, which, you know, averages out to a little over nine seconds per minute of game to use it. But the smaller you press the button, the less battery you use, right? So I use the 960 frames per second mode to burst me pressing control to learn how bad I am at pressing this throughout the game. It can only do like 10 seconds at a time, but I'll play and I'll do kind of the pattern that I do for flashing. And I'm like, holy shit. I am holding that down so much more than I think. I think I press it three times. I looked at myself in slow motion. I was just holding it for three times. And you see my knuckle go like. But my finger is down on the button the whole time and I'm like, no idea. Holy shit. So for. For a sign, you need a.
Bob Muyskens
You need a hall effect keyboard to get this shit under control. Oh, that's the Van Gogh Pikachu. I've seen that one. I've seen that. That's fancy one way.
Mark Fischbach
Because I've been looking for a keyboard that has a lighter touch. Because the problem with this one is it's. I thought it being clickier would be better, but there's a lot of force needed to press it down. And once it's down, it doesn't really spring back up with a lot of.
Bob Muyskens
I'm not like a keyboard expert, but I do know. I think it's hall effect switches, but it may be some other technology. There's a kind of keyboard where you can literally calibrate the moment in the travel where it triggers and where the rebound is. Because with mechanical switches, like it's a switch, right? You push it down and it goes click. And it doesn't unclick until it travels back a certain amount. You can't adjust that. There are keyboards where that is calibrateable, where it's literally like you could set it to the lightest touch triggers it. But then the rebound is like at a specific height. So you could have. You could absolutely min max your like flashlight.
Mark Fischbach
That would be so nice. And I know it's a bit kind of like it's try hard to do it. But the thing is like this keyboard is.
Wade Barnes
I imagine every crazy FPS person has that. And the mouse.
Bob Muyskens
It is. I do know of that because of The Valorant and CS2 competitive scenes is where I've heard about this. So it's definitely like an esports thing.
Mark Fischbach
The annoying thing about it is you can't rebind the key. So in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the flashlight is control. You can't change that to anything else, or I would change it to the other mouse button, which is not used. Right click is not used.
Bob Muyskens
Wait. But you can rebind the keys through your keyboard mouse software. I use Logitech for everything, so. Well, except for this keyboard, but I generally use Logitech. So on my gaming computer, you can set any button you want to be any input you want, and you can set buttons on your mouse to be keyboard inputs. So you can't rebind it in game, but you could set it so your right click is a left control input while you're playing five nights. So you could switch that to an optimal.
Mark Fischbach
Because you can click so much faster than you can ever press a button. Like, clicking is. It's the lights little. It's so fast.
Bob Muyskens
You. Wait, Mark, I have a theory that I would love you to try. You can bind key presses to your scroll wheel. So if you just flick the scroll wheel, like, you just go, like. It'll be like. Like, every little notch will be a press. So you could literally just be like,
Mark Fischbach
look, I'm not beating the cheating allegations if I. If I do that on.
Bob Muyskens
This is just rebinding things. This is just using what's available. This is not hacking the game file.
Wade Barnes
Okay, dude, we're gonna go back, and they'll be like, oh, well, this person be 20, 20, 20, 20 mo. Using legit controls, Mark rebound his flashlight.
Bob Muyskens
Or you could do the. The mouse technique that I think a lot of RTS players do. There's a certain kind of tape you can put on your fingers, and then you, like, when you're using your mouse instead of clicking, you, like, flick and drag, and the stickiness of the tape makes it, like, bounce. And that's how RTS players get, like, several hundred inputs a minute of, like, constant. Just, like, fucking clicking at a thousand clicks a second kind of bullshit. Also not cheating. Totally allowed in esports. I feel like that's pretty legit in
Mark Fischbach
the game if you. The thing is, you don't need to click a lot. You just need to click really small when you need to click. So you're not clicking all the time. You're just, like. When you're going through the cameras, you got to go, ba, ba, ba, and click at the same time that you're left clicking. So if I could have it to my mouse, then it would be at the same speed. I could basically just go, you know, One after another and be really quick. But you know, look, I can help you.
Bob Muyskens
I'll be your coach. I don't know anything about five nights at Freddy's, but I know all kinds of stuff about competitive video games that I've never been able to do myself.
Wade Barnes
We're going to have tor bet coaching. FNAF coaching. Can I get coached on bald or something? I don't know. What do I do?
Bob Muyskens
My esports coach had put me in in the championship in high school. We would have won state and I've never been able to let that go.
Mark Fischbach
I've. I've gotten to 5am multiple times. The problem is my power right now. So it's like if I can quicken speed up my flashlight press by like 15%, that's all I need. I would make it to the end of the night. Even 10% might get me there.
Bob Muyskens
Rebinding right. Play to control might totally save your ass. You could totally do it. It's probably native to what you use. Corsair or.
Mark Fischbach
I don't know, it's a Razer mouse.
Wade Barnes
It's been so long since I've played it. Does it start at 10pm or midnight?
Mark Fischbach
Midnight to 6am so it's like I'm in the last hour and I run out of power. That's happened about 10 times now. And I've gotten better at it. But it's still, it's so hard in the panicky moments to not, you know, flash hard. It's.
Wade Barnes
I cannot wait for Mark to redo his bathroom. He's like, I had to rebuild the 2015 computer. I'm using my toilet for power. I have to have Amy flush it in order to get the cooling going so that the perfect refresh rate from 2015 is back.
Mark Fischbach
There's a quirk in the game where if you flush your toilet, it creates a magnetic spiral that will affect your computer to give you perfect rng each time.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, can't wait. I'm excited for that video upload.
Bob Muyskens
This is unrelated except for the conspiracy theory part on TikTok. I keep getting served videos from this person and I can't tell if it's completely serious or if it's just a bit and it's going over my head. But it's. The videos are all called like quantum lattice hoverboard attempt number 13. Great success. And then it's a guy with like a little tech deck skateboard on a desk. It's just a close up video and it has a bunch of shit taped on it and he just keeps going, well, that was a really good one. Like, he's trying to get it to be a hoverboard. And I keep showing up, and every time I see it, I get a little bit more paranoid about if our existence is real or if the timelines are overlapping or something. But. But I hope it's a bit. In my heart of hearts, I. I'm. I feel like it's a bit. But also, what if he's onto something or on something?
Mark Fischbach
Might be.
Bob Muyskens
It might be. Anyway, if you need esports, tips. Mark. My God, you're back, man. I got it. We can do this.
Wade Barnes
I'll help you with your Pokemon card collection.
Bob Muyskens
Mark, if I help you, can I be. Can I be, like, the jester of Five Nights at Freddy to your king? Can I be the duke of Five Nights at Freddy? Can you. Can you, like, give me a lordship?
Mark Fischbach
You'll have a fiefdom. You'll have a fiefdom.
Bob Muyskens
Perhaps a manor.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, I guess you need. Without a duke. Can't have. Not have a manner.
Wade Barnes
Can I be a cattle?
Bob Muyskens
Just in general, or.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, just in general.
Bob Muyskens
You could be one of my cattle. I'll make you a cattle.
Wade Barnes
All right. I'm not gonna do anything to help you guys with fnaf. Like, I'll just be a cow, if that's cool.
Bob Muyskens
At the end of the season, we'll quarter you up and put most of you in the freezer, and then you'll be delicious.
Wade Barnes
Oh, cow version of oats. I know what that means.
Bob Muyskens
Oh, you mean the pig bit. I'm really banging on all cylinders today. I will get the segue point, Wade could get the Segway point, and maybe I'll give it to you because feels stupid to give it to myself. But can I just say, my foot is messed up. I complained about this last time. It's still messed up. It's potentially going to take a couple months to heal all the way up. Months. What'd you do, have a big fucking open wound on the bottom of my foot?
Wade Barnes
Well, yeah, I know, but I don't know if you ever told us what
Bob Muyskens
caused poor foot care.
Wade Barnes
Whore foot care.
Bob Muyskens
Poor, poor. Oh, I thought you said whore broke ass foot care.
Mark Fischbach
It's not that crazy. It sounded like what he said.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, I hired a hooker. She really messed up my foot.
Bob Muyskens
Maybe I was insulting the brand of products I was using. Those whores messed up my foot. Goddamn Cerave. I would never talk bad about you, Sarah V. You're the best. I love you guys.
Wade Barnes
How is that It. I know Sarah B. That's a Pokemon. So I don't know Sarah Van or
Bob Muyskens
Cerave people say, which I think is wrong. Anyway, it's just a brand of like skincare products. But they're very good. They have very good unscented lotion. My foot's all fucked up. At a point in time where what I want to do most in my free time is drive to all the stores in my area and see if they have any of the Pokemon cards on the shelf for retail that I can buy because I can't order them. If I could order them online, I would. Anyway, my foot's messed up. I'm not supposed to be walking. So stay off as much as possible. And that is the topic of today's episode. I need your help. And I know we've done this a lot in the past, but the premise on this one is a little bit different. I need your help. Each of you is going to suggest to me things that I can do to entertain myself without having to use my foot. But I'm going to pick the top thing that each of you ends up offering me and I'm going to do them in the next week and who. Whoever's thing I prefer in actually. And I'm going to record myself on my GoPro mission one. Even though they're dead to mark, I'm going to record myself doing them and then give you feedback and whoever's I like the most. That's a bounty. The bounty is give Bob hobbies that will keep him entertained. Because I try. I was like, I can't really give you point whoever wins because I'm keeping points. Whoever wins this. I can't give someone points next week when I'm not the host, presumably I won't be, but I feel like I can create a bounty. Right? Is this okay? Is this within the guidelines? Is everyone okay with that? So I want to. I want to create this bounty and I am going to do whatever it is we come up with. I'm going to do it. Both of your ideas for the next week and then as fair and honestly as possible, pick who gets the bounty points in the next episode. I have this titled in my notes as please be nice because I immediately was like, we could. We always do like fuck ass things to each other and it's always like, oh well, I need to. I need to wash my car help. And we're like, well, piss on it and then rub some shit in there. It'll polish it up. I'm gonna do this. Please I have Mark.
Wade Barnes
This is our chance. We could go real hard on him. Remember that sour challenge he was too sick to do? We could.
Bob Muyskens
That's not a hobby. Your hobby is eating sour shit.
Wade Barnes
Oh God. Just eat sour candy for three straight hours.
Bob Muyskens
But anyway, the floor is open. I feel like you guys know me pretty well. You know, I like. You know what I like? I like tech. I'm recently into all these things, but I would like suggestions. It could be stuff that you enjoy. It could be things that you feel like I might enjoy. Could be anything. Could be something none of us know anything about. I will try it. As long as it conforms to. I'm supposed to walk as little as possible. I can go places. If it's like I need to go somewhere and walk inside and sit down, I can totally do that. But. But Wade, you look pregnant with an idea.
Wade Barnes
Oh, thanks man. I've been working on that.
Bob Muyskens
Well, you don't look pregnant with a baby, so I feel like that was obvious. What do you got? Help me out.
Wade Barnes
So this one's more of something I've really enjoyed. I've been getting more into. You're getting into the Pokemon cards. So whenever I started looking into the cards, whenever I started getting back into Pokemon in general, even I. So I played every mainline Pokemon game except for like Gen3 when it first came out because that was just a phase of my life where I thought I was too cool for Pokemon or something. And after gen 5, like black white, black 2, white suit, I kind of like eh. I'm not really enjoying the games quite as much anymore. And then looking at the cards and stuff, it's like I don't have a connection to any of the new Pokemon because I don't really give a about any of their games. One of the ways I've really gotten a feel for enjoying more variety of Pokemon and getting more appreciation is through some fan made Pokemon games. There's been some really crazy fan games and like ROM hacks that have been a lot of fun. There's one called Emerald Rogue which turns Pokemon into like a roguelike. And it's really fucking difficult. If you like challenges, it's really hard. Poke Rogue I think I've told you about Poke Rogue is like a web browser game. You can play it on your phone, you can play it on your tablet computer, whatever. It's just a web browser. That one's also challenging. But it gets easier over time because every time you catch something you have a chance of starting with it the next time you can lower Cost to have more things on your team. Like, it'll make sense as you get into it. I still play Poke Rogue. I've been dabbling in it for forever, and out of 1025 Pokemon, I'm missing four total in my decks. Like, I've almost completed the full decks at this point.
Bob Muyskens
Good gravy.
Wade Barnes
But I mean, I play half hour to an hour increments and it's like, okay, and I'll come back.
Bob Muyskens
Can you play that on mobile? I feel like I've seen you play it on, like, your phone or your iPad or something.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, yeah, Poke it Rogue, you can. And some of the fan games you can't. Like the ROM hacks, you can as well. I still recommend owning the game. Right? Like, I own. I don't. I don't download games I don't own. So, like, I'll own Pokemon Emerald before I'll do something like that. Some of the fan games are also really good. There's Pokemon Unbound, and I just started one called Pokemon Rejuvenation. Rejuvenation increases the shiny rate, so you can Shiny Hunt. It's like a 1 in 100 chance of getting a shiny instead of 1 in 5,000. You could just restart for 20 minutes and get a shiny starter if you want. I just started streaming that one recently and I've been having a lot of fun with it. Interesting. Different Pokemon fan games and stuff. I think one are more fun than a lot of the mainline games have been lately. And you can play them a lot of them on mobile. Some of the fan games you can't because they're not. You can do on Android. Maybe you're an Android guy. I can't do it on iOS, but those give me a new appreciation for a lot of the Pokemons. Whenever I see the cards, I'm like, oh, here's this Pokemon I didn't give a fuck about. But, like, now I do because it helped me in Poke Rogue a lot and stuff like that. So I think it makes it more fun.
Bob Muyskens
I could do that. I like video games and they're really
Wade Barnes
fun and interesting games. Some of them have, like, their own versions of Pokemon. They're called Fakemon. Like, they'll make their own regional variants or their own Pokemon, which I was kind of on at first, but I'm also like, oh, those are kind of cool now.
Bob Muyskens
Good suggestion. Bark. You look like you're pregnant too.
Mark Fischbach
Yes, I am. Bob, have you ever considered day trading?
Bob Muyskens
I have, actually, yes. But
Mark Fischbach
now I'm not saying it's for Everybody. Only for the bravest among you. Right? You. You don't even need to. What you're buying. You don't need to do any research. You just need to look at charts, right? Yeah, there's something. I forgot the name of it, but it's like the. The study of the chart is all you need to know about the future. Just like, you know, you take a bunch of animal bones and you shake them in your hand. You go and you like, oh, I see the future.
Wade Barnes
Is that what witches do among other people?
Mark Fischbach
Not just witches, but, you know, I'm
Bob Muyskens
just saying in general, witches, small children, lots of people do it with.
Mark Fischbach
Where do you think pickup sticks came from? It used to be pickup bones.
Bob Muyskens
And then people started learning the truth and not picking them up because you have to be able to see to understand.
Mark Fischbach
Exactly. So all you need to do is get some fancy lines, get a marker, get a. Get an erasable monitor. Right. Or something like that. Or you could have your phone. You could do on your phone too.
Bob Muyskens
I was like, what's so. You mean a whiteboard? No, even like a monitor I could draw on.
Mark Fischbach
I guess you could just get a dry erase marker, you know, but like
Bob Muyskens
a zoomer being like that should make something. It's like an erasable monitor. Like, you could write on it, but then you wipe it. Does that. Is it erase it? Erasable monitor. Is that what that's called?
Wade Barnes
Remember pencils and paper in the old days, man?
Mark Fischbach
No, you got to see it on the chart. What? You got to have it on your chart on the paper. You got to draw the chart each time. No, you got to just start drawing lines and stuff. Yeah, you're just trying to scrape that little bit of profit every time. Boom, boom, boom, boom.
Wade Barnes
Is this the kind of thing we need to wear a dress shirt? Shirt with the sleeves rolled up and unbuttoned at the top? And you look a little sweaty and disheveled. And you have like the tie on that's also partially undone.
Bob Muyskens
I'll make my Charlie from it's always sunny room with the red yarn on the board and.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, actually, I forgot. I. I forgot one crucial detail. You need six monitors. Or nine, depending. Like six or nine by charts. Buy here, sell here, buy here, sell here. Buy, buy, buy, sell, sell. Don't even need your first feet.
Bob Muyskens
Does day trading include forex?
Mark Fischbach
I'm going to say yes.
Wade Barnes
I don't know what that means.
Bob Muyskens
Well, because Mark got kind of into forex a little bit when we were in college, and I was always really jealous Because I didn't have any money. But you were, like, showing me the charts and stuff and be like, look, this is a. This is a J hook, and this is. This one's going to be a rebound. I was like, God, that does sound fun. I would do that if I had
Mark Fischbach
any dollars at all for everyone at home. This was a long time ago when I was very dumb. Don't do this.
Wade Barnes
This is a joke.
Bob Muyskens
It was in a period when you were also, like, hunting for shit to care about. Because, like, you're. It was in college. Look, everyone does stuff in college.
Mark Fischbach
No, I. This was before any of my health stuff. It was. It was like sophomore year or something, like junior. I can't remember. But I do remember one trade going bad and me sitting in, like, a public bathroom, looking at my phone, just hyperventilating like, oh, fuck.
Bob Muyskens
Oh.
Mark Fischbach
Oh, fuck.
Bob Muyskens
O.
Mark Fischbach
Go back up.
Bob Muyskens
Oh, no.
Mark Fischbach
So I learned my lesson, and I don't do that. But you could.
Bob Muyskens
Yeah, I think. I think you're saying that I should.
Wade Barnes
But my grandpa used to delve into, like, whenever I turned 11. He was like, all right, son, you're too old to get toys, so we're going to give you a stock. And I was like, okay, Grandpa, but, like, this new video game sounds really. No nude video game. We're going to buy stock in Chiquita, and we put, like, $100 in Chiquita banana, and, like, it boomed, and we went from 100 to, like, a thousand. And he was like, all right, now we're gonna take that out. We're gonna dump it all into Ford Motor Company, and then Ford, like, fucking crashed, and we lost it all.
Mark Fischbach
We're gonna let it ride.
Wade Barnes
So I. I went from like, oh, God, Grandpa, I got a thousand. I could buy, like, a new bicycle. He's like, no, we're putting it into Ford, and Ford just tanked, and we lost. He's like, sometimes you lose, son. I was like, I just. I just wanted the new.
Mark Fischbach
It couldn't have gone to zero, though, right? Because. Because Ford's still around, so.
Wade Barnes
No, I. I might. It might even still exist. I might need to do one of those recovery things where, like, oh, yeah, I've got stock and something from, like,
Mark Fischbach
you never sold, so you never lost.
Bob Muyskens
Yeah, that. That worth. That's still worth the exact same amount that it was when you put it in, because it's. You know, you don't have to. You don't have to convert that. You have to do the new value till you transfer it again.
Wade Barnes
Yeah. I got, like, one share of stock a year for, like, three years. I'm sure I'm rich now. If I.
Mark Fischbach
What Was this, like, 1942?
Wade Barnes
Well, do you think.
Bob Muyskens
You know.
Mark Fischbach
I have suspicions. I have.
Bob Muyskens
When was the stock market invented? I'm assuming it was soon after that. Were these physical pieces of paper handwritten, or were they printed with a printing press?
Mark Fischbach
Okay, I see where it went down. If it was, like, 2001 or something, and then it went down, it has not recovered since then, so you probably
Wade Barnes
had the same amount. All right, I still got my three shares at $1 apiece.
Mark Fischbach
But if there's dividends. If there's dividends, you might actually have a good amount of money.
Wade Barnes
I remember back when I was alive during the Dust bowl and the Great Depression and things were rock bottom. I was like, ooh, buyer's market, everyone. And they were begging for bread. Good times. Good times.
Bob Muyskens
Was this an online thing, though, or did you, like, literally. Did you, like, have a paper thing?
Wade Barnes
Oh, my grandpa would. We have the good old Windows, like, XP computer. We'd go to, like, some website, I think, and we get the letters in the mail from. I don't know, whoever. It's been years.
Bob Muyskens
I mean, honestly, you should look, just because I'm curious. But I don't know. I don't know how that works. I don't know if. Have you ever looked at unclaimed property? No, because I don't know if that works for stocks, but, like, you know, there's, like, there'll be cash in your name. And the unclaimed property thing, if you, like, search on the state records or something.
Wade Barnes
I've got a few rich uncles somewhere in the Middle east that I've gotten emails from over the years, but I've not looked at unclaimed cash.
Bob Muyskens
Uncle Prince.
Wade Barnes
Yeah. You have the same one?
Bob Muyskens
Yeah, we all have Uncle Prince.
Wade Barnes
That's my uncle. He's King now. He was formerly known as Prince.
Bob Muyskens
Oh, I see.
Mark Fischbach
Anyway, that's my idea.
Bob Muyskens
I like that. And, Wade, if you don't find those shares of stock, I will never forgive you.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, it says their dividend is, like, 4%. I don't know if it's always been that, but if that was, like, 20 years ago, that's a lot of money.
Bob Muyskens
Wade finds his three shares of stock, and the people at Ford are like, oh, fuck. Shit. We thought he died. God damn it.
Wade Barnes
He actually owns the company now. I come back in here, I'm just wearing a tire crown. Boys, it's me, King Ford.
Mark Fischbach
God, he really understands the companies.
Bob Muyskens
You should be in charge. You're the guy, man.
Wade Barnes
They get.
Bob Muyskens
This is what they get for getting. Doing away with the tire crown.
Wade Barnes
I have my Axelrod scepter. My tire crown.
Mark Fischbach
Look, I'm still mad at Ford because they're going to discontinue the F150 Lightning. So you get over there and you give them up, Ford.
Wade Barnes
I'll tell them, and I'm gonna go over and I'm gonna give him the what for. I own that company now.
Bob Muyskens
Two strong suggestions. We might just end the episode there. And I'll just pick those, because those sound very good. But let's not though, wait. What else should I do to fill my sad, sad time when my foot doesn't. I mean, it hurts a little. It's sore, you know, it's like, ah, God, come on. Foot doesn't hurt that bad. But I'm so sad about it. And I'm stuck, stuck in here.
Wade Barnes
I don't know how you feel about these, but this is something I personally want to do because I've not watched these in forever. I want to do a Batman movie marathon where I go back and I watch even like the old like, like
Bob Muyskens
all the Way Adam West.
Wade Barnes
I've never watched those. I might go back that far, but at least like, you know, the 80s 90s, like Batman, Batman Forever, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Freeze, and up through the Nolan's and then Pattinson's Batman. I've also never watched the Penguin series. But anyway, I used to love Batman as a kid. That was like my favorite superhero. So I got super into it when my dad and I used to watch much. So I kind of just want to go back and re watch all those to see how they all hold up, because I've got memories of like Christopher Walken in one of the Batman movies, and I've not seen it since I was a kid. So I'm like, who was he? But I feel like whenever I picture him, I combine him with like, what was it? Marv from Home Alone. Like this. When he gets shocked, I feel like they're the same. Like those images are blurred in my mind. I'm like, I must see this movie and sort out the memories. I want to do a Batman movie marathon. So maybe, maybe you'd enjoy like a movie marathon of one of your old favorite franchises or Batman or something.
Bob Muyskens
Oh, it doesn't. Doesn't have to be Batman.
Wade Barnes
Well, that's the one I'm suggesting specifically, but I don't know if Batman's for you.
Bob Muyskens
I mean, I do love. Generally love the Dark Knight trilogy, and I like Batman. As far as. For someone who doesn't care that much for superheroes in general, Batman's definitely near the top of the list. Where I'm like, yeah, I'll watch Batman.
Mark Fischbach
Knitting. You might genuinely enjoy knitting, you boring piece of shit. You look like someone.
Wade Barnes
Oh, man. Way to earn points. I had to commit to it.
Mark Fischbach
You just look like you need the thrill of two knitting needles and constant movement.
Wade Barnes
I wonder how many people that watch this knit and they're just so angry right now, threatening you with their needles.
Bob Muyskens
Dude. A lot. A lot of them are probably crocheting, but a lot.
Mark Fischbach
There's so many times, I'm sure you guys know at this podcast where you'll start a sentence and you go. You'll be like, it'll be really funny if you say this instead. It's going to cost you dearly. Gonna cost you. But anyway. But knitting, Knitting, it's, you know, it's a very relaxing. And you can do it while watching other things. It's something where you're working with your hands and you do need to pay attention a little bit. But it's more forgiving than, say, like, crocheting or there's a. I think there's a meme between, like, knitting and sewing or knitting and something else where it's like you could just accidentally whip up an entire sweater. I'm not sure if it is knitting or which one's easier. I'm not sure which one's easier.
Bob Muyskens
But honestly, Mandy has crochet stuff and has crocheted things, so I don't. I. I couldn't. I could maybe order some knitting needles or something, but, like, I think we have, like, some yarn and shit I could use.
Mark Fischbach
Oh, yeah. Crocheting is one hooked needle. Knitting is two sticks.
Bob Muyskens
Knit one, purl two, whatever the fuck that means. And crocheting is just crochet. Crochet. That's the.
Mark Fischbach
You have to say it out loud every time.
Wade Barnes
Crochet, crochet.
Bob Muyskens
It's like, bingo. It doesn't count if you don't say it out loud.
Wade Barnes
You have to do that. Lon, you didn't say crochet, but you
Bob Muyskens
do specifically mean knitting.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, knitting. I think knitting could be fun. You could get into it, and it's just a repeatable pattern, as far as I know. And you can kind of aimlessly do it while watching your movie marathon.
Bob Muyskens
I could get all this out of the way all at once and not have to do Any of the stupid shit you guys are telling me to do.
Mark Fischbach
And you could day trade at the same time
Bob Muyskens
with my one good foot. I'm over here day trading like a madman.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, exactly. You just time the trades to when you get to the end of a line is like you buy or sell at the end of it. And so you just leave it up to fate, because, honestly, random chance would be better.
Bob Muyskens
Does it ding like a typewriter when you get to the end of the line?
Mark Fischbach
We're going to be rich. We're going to make smart needles with a speaker in it that know when it's at the end of the line.
Wade Barnes
It just brings back all the classic, like, 90s noises, like you've got mail.
Bob Muyskens
Why?
Wade Barnes
Why that one? Yeah, you. You can customize your needles to give you whatever noises you want.
Mark Fischbach
You're so right. You started that so confidently, like it would be related.
Wade Barnes
Oh, yeah, I relate to what I said, don't you?
Bob Muyskens
You know how we sell $700,000 in product in the first six months? AI powered knitting needles.
Mark Fischbach
Oh, my God.
Bob Muyskens
AI to tell when it's time for you to move to the next row. Boom. Everybody loves AI. Everybody wants it in everything.
Wade Barnes
If AI was real and we didn't have some really shitty versions of Vienna, AI is not real.
Bob Muyskens
It's real in the way that language works.
Wade Barnes
Well, we call it AI, but, like, in the technical, historical definition of artificial intelligence, we've not really reached that yet. We have just really shitty virtual intelligence.
Mark Fischbach
I agree with him. I really. I like the mass effect definition of, like, virtual intelligence better than what it currently is. I like that a lot.
Bob Muyskens
Well, do you have any more ideas that you want to throw out?
Wade Barnes
So another thing from my childhood, I used to love doing jigsaw puzzles. Puzzles. But not only are there normal jigsaw puzzles, right? The 100 piece, thousand piece, whatever. There was a puzzle I did as a kid. It was like four different puzzles that was like jungle canopy, jungle, like floor, bottom, like the plains. And I figured they're like a river or something. And once you built each one of these, you could take off the outside lines and put them together. And it was one big puzzle that made one image, and it was just really cool. On top of that, there were, like, the 3D puzzles. So my grandpa and I built like a house one time where it was just little foam puzzle pieces, and you put it together and ultimately it was like this little house and stuff. I got a lot of satisfaction out of doing puzzles as a kid. I've not done one In a while, but I kind of had the itch to do one. And I guess if I was off of my feet for a while, that'd be. Another thing I'd want to do is some kind of combo jigsaw puzzles.
Bob Muyskens
If I get a puzzle and then invite you over and have you do it for me, does that count as me doing it?
Wade Barnes
It's like watching a. Let's play. Like, did you. Did you have a gaming experience by watching someone else play the game for you? I mean, I guess so, yes.
Bob Muyskens
I. I've. I've played many games that way.
Wade Barnes
Yeah. I mean, I guess it would count.
Mark Fischbach
To clarify, there's absolutely no feet at all possible.
Bob Muyskens
Like, I can walk. I can walk short distances. I can. I. It's not like I can't stand up. I can walk around the house and I can go. As long as I'm not wandering around a grocery store, I can walk. Like.
Mark Fischbach
This is perfect. No, no, this is perfect. Okay. All right. So you couch, you go to your cupboard. You grab a box of Kleenex, right? And you bring it over. You go to your. Wherever your laptop is. You gr. Grab that. You go to your bathroom or whatever, grab a bottle of lotion. Okay, you're going to need all these. You put one on the one side, one on the other. Open up your laptop, type in B O o B I E S, hit enter. Just start clicking. It's the most fun you can have with your hands and not your feet.
Wade Barnes
I don't want to see this redeem happen, but I guess it's true.
Mark Fischbach
Put it on the bounty board.
Bob Muyskens
It's on there. It's on the list for consideration.
Mark Fischbach
I forgot these are going on the bounty board.
Wade Barnes
Oh, here's a video of me looking at porn, guys.
Mark Fischbach
Hey, that'll be a hell of a bounty if we very desperate need points to win. Like nail biter end of the season. That's a bounty to pull.
Wade Barnes
I never thought we would top the piss yourself for win, but here we are.
Mark Fischbach
Listen, if this podcast ever gets that high stakes, it will be there, exactly as described. I didn't. I didn't say. I didn't say anything else.
Bob Muyskens
I just said you were just saying to watch porn and have those things within reach.
Wade Barnes
Some laptops are real dry, so you got to keep your hands moisturized to use your mouse and keyboard. I get you.
Mark Fischbach
Absolutely. I've been. You know, my. It's been real dry around here too.
Wade Barnes
And you ever just see B o o B I E s that just bring a tear to your eyes, you need a Kleenex to, like, dab the tears.
Bob Muyskens
Like, that's the only word I ever spelled on calculator. So I'm assuming I'll come across some interesting, you know, like, retro collectible calculators
Mark Fischbach
potentially as well, which I have another idea, too. Is it Wade's turn or should I just go straight up?
Bob Muyskens
There aren't any turns. Go mark.
Mark Fischbach
Okay. All right. So you go on ebay, you get yourself a classic TI83 plus silver edition. You go to wherever the hell. There's the drug trader game, you go to get the Dragon Ball Z RPG game. Get those installed on TI83, you'll have the best time of your Life. Games on TI83 just hit different somehow. They, they, they want. They weren't the most graphically intense, but they were the most satisfying to play.
Wade Barnes
They're playing games in math class on the TI83 plus, it was like Snake. And I forget one other game. Those. It was like, if you were in class, it was like the most fun thing you could ever do. Looking back, like, those games suck. But, man, instead of doing work, those games were study hall. Oh, God, yeah. Play video games.
Mark Fischbach
And then you got the cable you could share with someone like, dude, I got that Mafia game.
Bob Muyskens
You gotta find the person who has the cable so you could share the files across, because you gotta. You gotta make sure you have all the Cool as.
Mark Fischbach
Man, do you imagine. Do you think, you guys, if, if I told you I'm gonna pay you, like, $10,000 if by tomorrow you can have a programmed version of those games without using any kind of AI or anything like that, do you think you could do it? Like, you could. You could learn the programming and search up the commands to create like, the Mafia drug trader game or something like that?
Wade Barnes
Well, probably because, like, if there's things like RPG maker and stuff out there, there's got to be something, some template you could use.
Mark Fischbach
But on the TI83, like, I don't even know what language it's programmed in. What is language?
Wade Barnes
No, my brain would not work that way.
Bob Muyskens
I would try, but I think realistically, I could not make that happen.
Wade Barnes
No, even go back and forth turn one of those things on would be an achievement for me today, much less
Bob Muyskens
there's a big button labeled on.
Wade Barnes
That's a start. You didn't have one of the pull cord TI
Mark Fischbach
teacher.
Bob Muyskens
Wait, I had one of the hand crank ones, like the weather radio videos. See their clashes like plastic.
Wade Barnes
God, you're doing a test. Everyone, like, just Cranking it every time.
Bob Muyskens
You can't stop. Because if you stop, everything falls out of memory. If you want to see what you're working on, you gotta. You gotta crank endlessly. I was always jealous of the kids who had the chest harness where you only needed one hand to crank and you could use your other hand for stuff.
Mark Fischbach
This is like one of those one man band where the harmonica is, but they got. They got a little monkey actually crank
Bob Muyskens
their TI83 to hit enter on the calculator. You're like, kick your leg enter, but
Mark Fischbach
you can't use your leg.
Bob Muyskens
I can't use my feet. I could use my leg.
Mark Fischbach
All right, another idea. One man band. Get a big drum on your back. Get cymbals, get a harmonica. Get whatever else hell he had. He had the one guy, that one man.
Bob Muyskens
What did he have in his band?
Wade Barnes
Go back, relisten to old albums, like CDs from the 90s, 2000s. Like actually pop out the old CD player.
Bob Muyskens
I thought you were just gonna let Mark rack up the points with us.
Wade Barnes
No, he was starting to. I'm like, no, I can't let this happen. Old gaming consoles, go play like Nintendo, try to beat like Super Mario again.
Bob Muyskens
I do have an N64 right there.
Wade Barnes
I was thinking even older. I was thinking like Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo.
Mark Fischbach
But okay, if, if, if. You know those automatic bread makers?
Bob Muyskens
I have one of those, I think.
Mark Fischbach
How long do you think it would take you to make one? Like the loaf to prepare to put in there?
Bob Muyskens
It's pretty easy, actually. You pretty much just dump the shit in. It doesn't take very long at all.
Mark Fischbach
Like 10 minutes, right?
Bob Muyskens
Like, yeah, like less than 10 minutes easy.
Mark Fischbach
All right, cool. Buy 12. You start one, put it in, start the other, put it in, start the other, put it in. By the time you get to the end, the first one's done. Put that out, set it aside, make another one, put it in. You have a bread making empire. You start your own business of making bread, artisanal bread, opposite.
Wade Barnes
You get a bunch of people's addresses and you go find random stuff on, like, different shipping apps, like doordash or whatever. And you find things that don't really make sense, and you ship it to different people. Whenever they give you reactions. Reactions, you laugh. You get to watch the things be delivered so you know when the reaction's coming from whatever you're sending them.
Bob Muyskens
Would you call that prank? Prank deliveries?
Wade Barnes
Yeah, prank deliveries.
Mark Fischbach
Even better. You become a doordash middleman. You find people that want to make A doordash order they order with you instead. You then order through doordash for them to their house, you make a cut and you're. You're just crushing business. You could scale this up to thousands.
Bob Muyskens
No, I like that because I think there are people, specific people, maybe from older generations who are like, I wish I could just call someone on the phone. You know, I could be the doordash phone service, where they could just call me. They'll talk to me real person.
Wade Barnes
And then, yeah, you become a doordash bottom man, where you find things you want on doordash and have them delivered to you.
Bob Muyskens
Well, I already do that. That's not really a new hobby.
Wade Barnes
Well, it could be if you go ham and buy things you haven't bought before.
Bob Muyskens
Hey, look, I've bought some silly stuff on doordash. Okay, not, not crazy, but I did buy a hedge trimmer on doordash one time.
Wade Barnes
I bought an umbrella for a wedding on doordash once for the bride.
Mark Fischbach
Doomsday device. You do a lot of research into nuclear bombs and you figure out a way to get fissile material to your house, start assembling it into an implosion device, and then you have a nuke. The journey is the reward. It's not about the end goal.
Wade Barnes
You get the most luxurious flotation device. What's what I'm looking for? Like float. And you spend your days floating around a pool just like sipping on drinks and browsing your phone on like the most just elaborate, comfy float you can find.
Bob Muyskens
I like that there's an aspect of danger to that because I can't get my leg wet because it's fully wrapped up to my knee and stuff. I'm not supposed to get wet wet, so it'd have to be. I have to just actually get a boat.
Wade Barnes
I love boat.
Bob Muyskens
If I get a boat, you come over, you hang out in the boat with me in the pool.
Wade Barnes
Even crazier, we open some really expensive Pokemon cards while floating on the water where the cards nor you can get wet.
Bob Muyskens
We could call it Drippy Rips.
Mark Fischbach
I don't like that name, but I love the idea.
Bob Muyskens
Just call me Captain Drippy Rip.
Mark Fischbach
I got it. You impersonate Reddit comment bots. You start commenting on random subreddits in the same cadence that the bot replies. Do also say in but in your official account. So you start really confusing people. Everyone thinks you're a bot, but you know in your heart of hearts that you're a human and therefore you get enjoyment out of it because you're tricking everybody. It's the ultimate ruse.
Bob Muyskens
Could really freak some people out too, because I think I'm a bot and I can just respond and be like,
Wade Barnes
get a camera and like a little microphone you can strap to your shirt and start filming yourself pretending to be like a news anchor. And you just make up whatever news stories you want. But you post them to a new News, a new YouTube channel. And you post them as if they are completely real. And see how many people think that you're a legit news organization and start buying into whatever stories you make up.
Bob Muyskens
Probably a lot.
Mark Fischbach
World's first internal live stream. You swallow a camera that is live stream capable. You have a feeding tube placed in use that not for feeding but for having the power wire to go through. And then it's a con. Never mind. This is going to be some fetish bullshit.
Wade Barnes
We'll call it the go.
Mark Fischbach
No, I retract my statement entirely.
Bob Muyskens
It's written down. You can't retract it now.
Wade Barnes
That guy's got his tissues and his lube. What's he. It's about to hit the small intestine. It's about to hit the small intestine. We're in, boys.
Bob Muyskens
I'll call it Magic School Bus Live. Be like nostalgia. The sound to the sound is just my guts gurgling and the faint muffled me just singing the song like. And Lizzy's there. It's great.
Mark Fischbach
Oh, yeah. Lizzy.
Bob Muyskens
Yeah, I think that's enough.
Wade Barnes
Which option you gonna pick?
Bob Muyskens
Yeah, I think I have things to pick from and I have to do these things and they'll probably be great. Great. Probably.
Wade Barnes
Question before we start doing points, do we do bounties now or do we do bounties after you tabulate points? I actually did one for once.
Bob Muyskens
You did a bounty? What the.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, I just don't remember when we turn them in.
Bob Muyskens
I was about to jump to points. So now is fine.
Wade Barnes
On the official bounty board. Number eight, change shirts mid episode. Without anyone noticing. I started off with this and now I'm here.
Mark Fischbach
That's very impressive. I didn't notice. Notice at all.
Wade Barnes
I did that. I was like. I literally would look at this. I was like, what is the laziest possible bounty I could pick? And I was like, change shirts.
Bob Muyskens
I wasn't even thinking to defend from a U bounty because I assumed you would never do one.
Wade Barnes
I had to. You guys both have done one. I was like, I gotta get at least one on the board. So I at least say I've done it.
Mark Fischbach
That's good. That's good.
Wade Barnes
I did it, guys.
Bob Muyskens
That's completely legit.
Wade Barnes
I don't know if it's worth anything other than, like, a point, but, like, I did it.
Bob Muyskens
I asked this every time it comes up. Is it one point or two point? It's one point.
Wade Barnes
I think it's host discretion. It's like one to three or two to three or whatever. One point for changing a shirt is adequate for me.
Mark Fischbach
I think we were supposed to separate out the difficult ones and rank them as, like. It should be, like, based on difficulty. But I feel like he did well because it's a completely different colored shirt and we really should have noticed.
Wade Barnes
I tried to make it where it, like, it wasn't like, oh, okay. You went from, like, dark red. I was like, okay, let me. Let me do something that would actually.
Bob Muyskens
Wait, so did you have that Pokemon card already or was that just part of the ruse?
Wade Barnes
Oh, that was part of the ruse, baby.
Bob Muyskens
So you didn't just get that, though? So that's some of my excitement about.
Wade Barnes
Well, I did just get it, but not today. But it's really cool, isn't.
Bob Muyskens
Does look cool. Yeah. I can't believe they got Van Gogh to make a Pokemon card.
Wade Barnes
It's the only thing he ever did in his life, Right? What else was he known for other than Pokemon cards?
Bob Muyskens
Dying, I guess.
Wade Barnes
I showed this to Molly, and her response was, why does it have two ears?
Bob Muyskens
It's not him as Pikachu. Jeez.
Wade Barnes
Anyway, that's it. That's my. That's my bounty. I know. It's a crazy, amazing one, but I did it.
Bob Muyskens
Well, wait, Wade gets an extra bounty?
Wade Barnes
Yeah. I gotta tell you, my thought, you guys are talking about, like, Mark was talking about lenses and stuff. I was like, okay, this is something he's really passionate about. He'll be really focused. I'm gonna leave. They're not gonna give an absolute fuck. I'll come back, I'll have something to distract them with, and they'll have no idea.
Mark Fischbach
It's true.
Bob Muyskens
I'm shocked. I assumed Wade would just never engage with that at all. That's the only one you're ever gonna do, I'm pretty sure. But you've officially done as many as both Mark and myself. You've only done one, right, Mark? Two, I think. Oh, well, it wasn't me. I've definitely only done one.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah, I got. I got the picture of Chica in a shirt, and then I did play the games during.
Wade Barnes
That's Right. You did the.
Bob Muyskens
Yeah, sorry, I just realized I'm insane and I skipped a bunch of pages in my score notebook for no reason whatsoever. I mean three, four pages, but still. Anyway, points in no particular order. Wade, you earned points for injuring yourself while playing an mmo, becoming fully addicted to Pokemon, injuring yourself during physical therapy to heal your other injury cow version of oats reference. You got the segue points for Pokemon. Oh, you also got a point for being alive during the dust bowl. And then your recommendations were Pokemon fan games, Batman or other movie marathon puzzles, relisten to old albums, play old video games, which I feel like is kind of the same as the Pokemon one, but I guess those are fan. Those are new fan games.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, those are new.
Bob Muyskens
Whatever. Prank delivery service. Just order myself stuff on doordash, drippy rips fake news, leaving you with a total of 15 plus one bounty point. Yeah, you got the bounty for changing your shirt, giving you 16 mark. You earn points for your gamer hands, your tube meat, medical treatment, GoPro being dead to you, but only kind of dead grinding fnaf. Like a true gamer being receptive to my esports knowledge and coaching. Coaching? You recommended that I do day trading or knitting. You insulted me. Which did lose you a point for calling me a boring piece of shit.
Mark Fischbach
Worth it.
Bob Muyskens
You said that I should try gooning ti83 plus. You said I should be a one man band. You said I should make bread. Kind of. You said I should make a door Dan doordash middleman business, doomsday device, internal live stream and become a Reddit bot. You got 15 points minus one for boring piece of leaving you at a total of 14 points to Wade's 16 points.
Wade Barnes
Man, if you hadn't insulted him that that bounty would have really just given me a little edge.
Mark Fischbach
It was so worth it though. I, I, I, I really, I really can't overstate like you had to do it.
Bob Muyskens
I know exactly how that feels.
Mark Fischbach
I'm. We haven't spun the tie wheel in a while. That's what I'm really aiming for right now.
Bob Muyskens
Why would you manifest that for me? My foot hurts. Mark. How could you possibly do this to me?
Wade Barnes
So if he wins, we're making him going to do like one on one legged hops, right?
Mark Fischbach
One.
Bob Muyskens
It's not a one man show. It's just run a marathon.
Mark Fischbach
It could happen. It's a two.
Wade Barnes
It's a two.
Mark Fischbach
I had a great call back earlier, remember? Yeah, I had that.
Bob Muyskens
Wade had the call back earlier, but that's fine.
Mark Fischbach
No, I had a Cool. Callback to like. It's an old joke, but it checks. No. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
Bob Muyskens
Oh, that's true.
Mark Fischbach
It's the oldest callback probably ever on the show.
Wade Barnes
Show.
Bob Muyskens
I think we already have one that's like was in the hospital or was injured or something.
Wade Barnes
I think we do. Yeah.
Bob Muyskens
I most recently adopted hobby. So whoever has most recently begun a hobby, like I would say right now, Pokemon for me is probably the most recent thing that we're sort of talking. I mean, you got me into it, Wade, but I'm. I'm newer than you. You've done it most recently, so something like that. 2 spins. 118 options on the wheel. What could go wrong? Come on. Not best looking.
Wade Barnes
I'm a little ratty. If I'm gonna be honest. I kind of need to shave.
Bob Muyskens
It's definitely Mark today.
Wade Barnes
Sorry.
Mark Fischbach
All right, cool. Good.
Bob Muyskens
He has a. He has a certain glow about him.
Mark Fischbach
I've been swimming in the pool a lot with the GoPro, so I've been getting a nice bit of sun.
Wade Barnes
I've not been able to be active for a few months. And I need to shave. I don't know. Yeah, I wouldn't have accepted even if I do deserve. Deserve it.
Bob Muyskens
Look, you might deserve it, but that doesn't mean that you actually get it.
Mark Fischbach
All right, one more point. Come on.
Bob Muyskens
Come on.
Wade Barnes
Yeah, I agree.
Mark Fischbach
Come on.
Wade Barnes
Come on. I'm so close to winning.
Bob Muyskens
Kiss Dutch's ass the most.
Mark Fischbach
Ah, come on, man.
Bob Muyskens
Mark didn't have a documented lost point. Come on.
Mark Fischbach
Yeah. Oh, boy.
Wade Barnes
I like how we were one away from the host wins too.
Mark Fischbach
I. I KN it was going to cost me. God damn if I hadn't done that well.
Bob Muyskens
And Mark just handed it away. Couldn't just let the opportunity to hurl out some out of pocket insults.
Mark Fischbach
I now have the knitting community hating me.
Bob Muyskens
I have been guilty of so many times and I totally get it. But that does mean that officially, because he did a bounty shocking the entire universe. Wait, is the winner Mark? Please give us a loser speech.
Mark Fischbach
This loser speech is brought to you by GoPro. Code code. Distractible. Sure, distractible. You can get your GoPro 10 off with distractible. D I S T R H T I B L E. I feel like this was not fate. This was my own actions. I've never been more certain in a. In a deterministic universe. No, wait, the opposite. In a undeterministic universe where we make our own choices and our destiny is made by our own actions and everything is an echo from Our thoughts to our physical form and extending out in ripples of waves of energy to everyone else that's around us. I feel one with the universe. I am so connected, and I am hated. I know that even though I am as connected as I have ever been to the universe, it is against me and it does not want me to succeed. But it is all my own fault, because I am the universe version. We are all I. We are all me. We are all.
Wade Barnes
We are all me.
Mark Fischbach
And it's terrible.
Bob Muyskens
Ah, well, thank you, Mark. Wade Winner speech.
Wade Barnes
This might be the first time I've won back to. Back's not the right word because, you know, I didn't win my own episode. But, like, without giving myself a win back to back in a long time. It feels good. It feels good to succeed. I put in a bit. Little bit of effort, and the universe smiled upon me. Mark put in the opposite today and, you know, was.
Bob Muyskens
Well, look, I think he tried pretty hard. He just tried to do the wrong things.
Wade Barnes
He insulted a lot of people. And, you know, the universe did not give him as big of a smile as it gave me. You know, it's nice to do good try, even just a little bit. There's just a little bit of effort. Just a little effort, and it won't change me. And I'll be right back to my old ways soon. But for today, man, it felt nice. And I should put an effort more often. I won't, but, man, I should.
Bob Muyskens
And we'll hold you to that. Thank you, Wade. Congratulations on winning. I do the. So the episode is over, but I have one more thing I have to announce, and that's what the actual things are that I'm going to do this week. You've been talking about them for a long time, and I've sort of been putting them off because I'm like, I don't know if I'd really like that.
Mark Fischbach
The bread makers, maybe.
Bob Muyskens
Wade. I'm going to do the Pokemon fan games. I'm gonna try out Emerald Rogue and Poke Rogue and just, like, dip my toes a little bit, and maybe I'll get. Maybe I'll have a fresh addiction.
Wade Barnes
Those two are very different than normal Pokemon. I would say Unbound or Rejuvenation is more like Pokemon games, but if you want completely random and different, those are the. Those are. Two are.
Bob Muyskens
That's the thing I'm kind of interested in. I do, like. Like, Roguelites and stuff. So I'm curious. I'm curious about how that will work. And then Mark suggested a Bunch of stuff.
Mark Fischbach
Oh, good stuff.
Wade Barnes
What are we hoping for? Gooning.
Bob Muyskens
So it's only one week. It's only one week. Can I take bake bread and just leave it at that? Or does it have to be the empire of bread? Because if I like it, it could lead to that. But I feel like me successfully making maybe maybe like a couple loaves of bread. Maybe I'll try some stuff. Would be pretty, pretty good for one week's time to give it a try. And if I like like it, I'll build the empire. Evil empire.
Wade Barnes
What would your business be called if you go into the bread business? Would it be like Big Bob's Bread Baking Bonanza?
Bob Muyskens
Bob's Banging Bread. And our branding will look exactly like Dave's Killer Bread, but it'll be legally distinct.
Mark Fischbach
Blowing Bread Bubbles llc.
Wade Barnes
It's just like a bread. They're all hollow bread shells.
Bob Muyskens
I mean bread is just bubbles. So like, I see, I see the angle. I understand. Anyway, so this week I will film myself playing Pokemon fan games, possibly get some more input from you, Wade. If I try a couple and I'm interested in other stuff and baking, I'm gonna say at least two different kinds of bread. I don't have a sourdough starter and I don't know how difficult it is to just get one of those. But like, I can definitely find a couple different varieties of bread to try. Try. And I will also film that on my where the did it go on my GoPro Mission One Pro.
Mark Fischbach
Wow. Code distractible.
Bob Muyskens
Code distractible distrct. Wow, it has been a while. Anyway, that's the end of the episode. Check out our merch store distractible shop. Check out our social media and channels and whatnot. Lord Minion 777 or Minion 777 Markiplier or my skirm. We're out there on the Internet. Make sure you follow the show so that you get notifications because in case you you forget, then it'll tell you that you're supposed to watch and or listen to us every time an episode comes out. And Wade will host the next one. Shocker to us all. I know, but he won, so he gets to do it regardless of what that means for the rest of us. Thank you for watching. Thank you even more for listening. I hate listeners. I messed it all up. That's the end of the episode. See you on the next one podcast out.

“Please Be Nice” captures Distractible at its best: banter between three close friends, playful unkindness, and endearing vulnerability in the search for new hobbies. Amidst running jokes about aging, injuries, and compulsive collecting, listeners are treated to a suite of “sit-down” hobby ideas—and a rare instance of Wade winning both a bounty and the episode.
