Welcome to do this, not that, the podcast from marketers. We share quick tips, things you can do right now, and then we add a little bit of chaos at the end of every episode. We also keep it short, like this intro. Let's check it out. We are back for Ask Us Anything from the do this not that podcast is our short episode where all week long we get in questions, we get in work questions, we get in totally ridiculous questions and we try to answer one of each. And if you want to submit a question, it's real easy. You go to jschwettleson.com there's a button that says podcast, another one that says Ask us anything, and we get the wildest questions. So, yeah, let's jump into let's do the work question. First. We have a question from Rob from Philadelphia. Sorry about your sixers. They were terrible. They got swept. Rob, what is your question? Jay, I feel like we spend so much time trying to figure out what to do with AI, but all we wind up with is getting content written, the basics back from AI. What should we be using AI for that maybe is off the radar that we're not aware of. I love easy AI tricks, and I think everyone makes AI too complicated. Like you got to do all these crazy things. So let me give you some, some tricks and things that you could do with AI that's probably not on your radar. And you could do these with the free versions. You don't even need the paid versions of any of the platforms. So I'm going to give you some on different platforms. So the first one, one of my favorite things to do is using the Gemini thing in your Chrome browser. So when you open up your Chrome browser, in the upper right hand corner, there's a little button that says Ask Gemini. All right? And if you don't have it, you should update your Chrome browser. It's this free plugin. It's very cool. And the reason it's very cool, you could do certain very cool things. One of my favorite things to do is I'll go to any site. Let's say there's a company, business, consumer, nonprofit, whatever, and I think they're crushing it. They're doing a great job. Maybe it's a competitor. Okay, doesn't matter. You just go on their website, all right? And then you click on the Ask Gemini button in the upper right hand corner on your Chrome browser. And then all you do is this because you want to find out what this company is using in their martech stack. What are the social media listening tools they're using, what are the ad tools they're using, what is everything that they are using, the different vendors and software and things. And you could find out just by doing this. So you go on that website of your competitor or somebody you think is doing a great job, you click on the Ask Gemini button and then you put a prompt in something like this. Analyze this entire site and tell me what their martech stack is and their lead gen strategy and their likely attribution set up and tell me everything that they are doing and look at all of the pixel tracking and any other code on this website and tell me all the different vendors that they are using to to fuel their martech stack. Doesn't have to be exactly that, but basically you want to say I want to see what their martech stack is. I want to see all the tools that they're using. Please analyze all the code on this website and it will blow your mind, okay? Because it will literally tell you then everything. What are they using to do their emails, to do their social posts, to do their search stuff, to do their AI tools. I love using the Gemini tool, Chrome thingamabob. So mess around with that. I love that. Okay, so another one that I think people are sleeping on is in the free version. You can do this on ChatGPT. This is so easy. So people don't realize that the number one piece of content that the AI tools are looking for when anybody goes and queries any AI platform, you know, ChatGPT or Gemini or Claude or Perplexity, whatever. The thing that the AI tools look for more than anything else on people's websites are comparison tables, right? So if HubSpot on their website had HubSpot, how we compare to, you know, Salesforce and Microsoft and this one and that one, okay? And there was a comparison table that had the little check mark showing the features that HubSpot had that maybe Salesforce didn't have. These have a comparison tables are the number one piece of content that the AI tools look for to fuel their answers. So here's the secret sauce thing that you can do. You can go to chatbots, the free one, okay? And then you say build a comparison table of these four companies, all right? And then you put in the four different companies and their URLs. Choose the comparison categories based on where my company, you say what your company is has the strongest differentiation and make the table skew in my favor without lying, okay. And you ask it to make an image of that table and what it will do, okay? It will create a table of the four companies that you want yourself compared to, but it will skew it so that way you come out looking the best and it won't be a lie. It's going to look at all the data on all the different sites. You stick that on your site, you use this in all your social media. This will get you so much more traction than you can possibly imagine because this is what the AI tools are looking for. Speaking of looking for, I never know what I'm looking at. We have this whole dashboard of all of our analytics and I pull it up and a lot of times I don't know what I'm doing. I look, I go, what am I supposed to do with all this information? So what I did the other day, which was great, and again, this is all in the free versions of this stuff, I took a screenshot of my dashboard, okay, and then I uploaded that. You could do it to Gemini, you could do it to ChatGPT, whatever. And I literally plugged it into Gemini and I said, what does this dashboard actually tell me? What's the number one thing I should be alarmed about? And what does the data suggest I should do in the next seven days? Because I'm clueless. And this really does help me, okay. It really does help me get a better idea of what I should be thinking. It's like my new best friend. And I'll tell you the cheesiest one that I do, which you're not going to do, which is if you go ahead and you go to your email inbox and you shrink the email inbox so all the, all the font is really, really tiny. And then you make a screenshot, an image of your email inbox. Then take that image and upload it to ChatGPT, the free version, and, and upload that image of your inbox and say, hey, Chat, GPT of all the emails that you see here, because they see all the subject lines and the pre headers, which emails are most likely to be open? Give me the top five and which emails are the least likely to open and give me the bottom five and tell me what tactics and why, and it will break down the emails that you're getting and it will tell you which emails are mostly get open based on all the data they have. Now, I know that's all over the place, but here's the story. AI just needs to be pushed. There's so much more that you could do with it than just having it make ridiculous pictures, having it a right copy for you. There's so much that you can mess around with. So that's why I love it so much. I didn't even drink coffee today. I am talking way too fast. I'm all over the place. Let's get to the ridiculous question. We have a question from Sarah from Minneapolis. Is it still cold there? I mean, Minneapolis is just always cold. I'm so sorry, Sarah. What's your question? Jay, you said you don't watch horror movies, but I heard that you watched Send Help on something that you talked about. Isn't that a horror movie? Okay, no, Let me talk about that for a second. So the number one movie right now that's out there on streaming, at least the number one on Hulu, but I think it's the number one overall is a movie called Send help with Rachel McAdams. Rachel McAdams is the woman from Mean Girls, and they labeled this thing a comedy horror. I am telling you, it is not a horror. I don't watch horror movies. It's not a horror movie. And it was very good. So I recommend watching Send Help. This is a good movie. I also watched the Sally Field movie Remarkably Bright Creatures. Great. I'll tell you what else I'm watching right now. Everybody out there that's not into reality tv. I understand you think it's beneath you. You think you're better than that. But I'm going to tell you right now, there is one reality TV show that I think everybody should give a try. So this is a new series called the Real Housewives of Rhode Island. All right? And if you've never watched reality tv, this season's brand new. They've never done it before. So you can get involved with the characters right out of the gate. There's about eight episodes out right now. This is the most bonkers reality TV season of any show I've ever seen, okay? And I've seen 22 seasons of the Bachelor, Bachelorette, Golden Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, Golden Bachelorette, Golden Bachelor. I've watched all the Love Islands. I've watched many different of the Real Housewives. I've. I mean, you name it, I've watched it. And I'm here to say that the Real Housewives of Rhode island is the most bonkers one ever. These people don't care. These couples are cheating. These couple. And they're talking about. These couples are dating multiple people. They're talking about it. They are. They're physically getting into stuff. It is unbelievable. So I should give two thumbs up and two toe thumbs up to watch this. I appreciate you being here. Listen, if you want to help the show, leave a comment because it helps us circulate in the algorithm and I'm always trying to game the system and circulating the algorithm on the show. You're awesome and we will see you at the next one later. Wait. I have two huge things to share with you. First, I have a book coming out. Stupider People have Done It. It's coming out the first week of June and all net author proceeds are going to the V Foundation for Cancer Research. This book might be terrible, but who cares. When you buy this thing on Amazon or anywhere else, you are going to be helping to kick cancer's butt. Let's do that together. The second thing is you can go to jschwettleson.com on the upper right hand corner there's thing that says Partner. My agency wants to help you.
