There should be housing support for adults with serious mental health issues, especially if they have the potential to get violent. Okay? He was enraged over a lost promotion. Bridgeton police say a man choked his coworker at McAllister's Deli and confessed he intended to kill her. Javon Mallory is behind bars tonight for the chilling attack yesterday morning. Bridgeton police say Javon Mallory came into the McAllister's Deli on St. Charles Rock Road. He was there to confront a co worker because she got promoted and he didn't. Police say he locked the door, told the victim he was going to kill her, grabbed her neck, and started choking her. Investigators say he wrestled her to the floor, strangling her until she went limp. But a manager unlocked the office, stopped him barricading him inside until police arrived. Mallory told police he would have killed her if the manager hadn't intervened. Thirteen years ago, a similar incident happened when Mallory was 18. He attacked a fellow student at St. Louis Community College's Merrimack campus. Blythe Group A spoke with five on her side, saying she was in the bathroom washing her hands. When Mallory came out from behind a door and started choking her, an employee ran in and stopped the attack.
