Dopas
Perfect. All right, we're ready to start off. We're talking about crash bant and random stuff. Let's get started, guys. Welcome back to the Dope As Usual podcast. My name is Dopas. Yo, this is my co host, Marty O'Neal.
Marty O'Neal
What's up, guys?
Dopas
What up? This is podcast. We're here to talk about life, drugs, problems, accomplishments, and everything in between. Today we have a very special guest. I'm excited. Let's get straight into it. The is the cuckoo episode. And thank you for being here.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, thank you guys for having me.
Dopas
Thanks for being here, dude. Appreciate it.
Marty O'Neal
Been over a year since his last podcast. We appreciate that.
Dopas
Oh, you said years.
Cuco
It's been a minute, dude.
Dopas
Man, that's awesome. Thanks for coming. Thanks for sitting down. I'm just going to get right into it. We. I love we. We're a storytelling podcast. We love telling stories. I love to dive into the world of, like, I'm tripping so hard. I can't wait to talk about this later. So I know you have a lot of them. I, I, I've listened to your music. Ratchet showed us your music. But you, I didn't know you were so young. Also, when I was watching, like, oh, yeah, yeah. Because Mexican fools don't really age, you know, I'm like, oh, you could be 15 or 28. So I didn't know, bro. So, like, eight years ago, I didn't realize, like, you were in high school damn near. So I didn't know that. So when I looked at bra, I'm like, oh, I had no idea. I'm old, you know? I mean, so what Ratchet showed us, it was like 2018, 2017. So it's been a long time. My old brother looks, listen. My wife listens. So it's really dope to have you on here, dude. And I know you talk about music constantly in your. All your articles and whatnot. We will get into your music 100. But, like, here, I like to tell stories and bring the stories out of people. I'm just. Yeah, I want to get to that. But before we go off, because we will go off in a tangent. May 9, is your album dropping, right?
Cuco
May 9, May 9, May 9. Writing comes out.
Dopas
And my 45 is already out.
Cuco
Yeah, my 45. And I can never break your heart.
Dopas
Those are both out now on YouTube.
Cuco
They're already out.
Dopas
I watched the My45. Was that at obviously right here in San Diego. It looked like.
Cuco
No, it was even closer. It was a Dockweiler.
Dopas
Okay. Because I saw it. I saw this little. When the girl was walking down the thing. I'm like, oh, is it the. The boobs. The boobs on the way to Santa San Diego about the power plant. Yeah, that's what I thought it was. Oh, I've never seen that angle of the power.
Cuco
No, it's. It's actually the. It's like a refinery, dude. Yeah, it's like the Department of Water or some. It's. It looks good. It smells like. It's. It's. The Dakua is the only beach you can throw bonfires at. And at least. At least out here in like la. I think in. In like OC There's.
Dopas
I don't know. You can't.
Cuco
Yeah, but Doc Waller. They let you.
Dopas
Oh. So it smells like. Like burn the smell away at least.
Cuco
Yeah, so I feel that. But it. But it's cool. I mean I didn't grow. I didn't go to the beach all the time. But you would always end up at Dockwilder, whether it was like if your family ever went or like the homies. Really. It was kind of like the beast. You just.
Dopas
It's the spot to go.
Cuco
Yeah. Just the bonfires. Get drunk.
Dopas
I actually haven't seen a bonfire in a long time. Now that you mentioned it. I didn't even think about. You can't do bonfires at the beach in la. You can't. I don't see them at all.
Marty O'Neal
Can't do a bonfire anywhere.
Dopas
I didn't even think about it when I was a kid. They were everywhere though, right? I. I don't know. Maybe I'm just tripping.
Cuco
Yeah. I don't know how far down it goes. I know like OC you could do bonfires, but at least like. Like man beach or down the beach or. Mostly you can't do bonfire. So Doc Wild is the only one that list you.
Marty O'Neal
The video had such like a viby. Filmic like vintage kind of feel to it. Is that. Is that all your idea?
Cuco
It was. No, it was. That was the homie. The homie Raul, you know, over at Glica, he thought about shooting on film, which I'm happy about. I love. I love film. I just. I just don't know how much, you know, like budgets and like it's mad expensive.
Dopas
Oh, of course it would be.
Cuco
Yeah. So thankfully we get that one shot. Yeah, thankfully. Yeah, thankfully. The budget was. Was there for the. To be able to shoot on 16 mil and dude. Yeah, bro. I was a. He's a. He's a g's. Big shout out to Glica, dude. Rob, Raul and Pasquale, dude, they're. They've been the homies forever and they've always been. Been down to work. They've.
Dopas
Yeah. I noticed all your videos have a. An almost like. What is that word? Ethereal. Is that the word?
Marty O'Neal
Dreamy.
Dopas
Dreamy. I feel like, damn. I feel like I could be about to start peeking for real. Like the. The love letter to la.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Wow. It has such a vibe to it. And then the skateboard when he's like actually in the room. I loved every part of it, dude. Then it starts to go into the snakes coming out the eyes and then I'm like, if I was on drugs, I'd be a little nervous. So one question to you is, I feel like you like Pink Floyd.
Cuco
Pink Floyd, Yeah. I love Pink Floyd.
Dopas
Okay.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Do you watch the. Have you ever watched the wall of the movie?
Cuco
I feel like you have, dude. I haven't actually.
Dopas
Oh, no.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Okay.
Cuco
And. And I know it's. It's. It's sick.
Dopas
It's so sick.
Cuco
And I'm. I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan.
Dopas
Oh, man.
Cuco
Like, metal is one of my favorite, like, projects by them. Like, that's like. Yeah, I think. I think Meadows is like my favorite by far. Like, by. By them. Yeah.
Dopas
Oh, damn. I. You don't hear that often.
Cuco
Yes, I know. It's a weird one.
Dopas
Yeah. You never hear that. That's my favorite. No. So when I watched. So there's a thing. I was obviously taking a lot of mushrooms. I try to watch the wall because I always used to do it, but there's a scene in the hospital where I lose. I can't keep up. It starts to give me. I don't have anxiety, but damn, that's what the anxiety feels like. I can't watch this, like, when I'm starting, you know, like when it feels like, all right, everything's closing down. So that part when the snakes coming out of your eyes, my. Oh, this is where the wall takes a turn. Please watch it. Just don't be psychedelics the first time. Just soak it in normal life and then watch it.
Cuco
I have. I haven't done psychedelics on, like a long time. Like, really? Yeah. I've been. I've been sober for three years now.
Dopas
Three years solid. Oh, wow. Is your brain cleared? Because I knew I used to do a lot of them and sometimes it's not great doing.
Cuco
Yeah, I think. I think it's had. It's had its long term effects. For sure.
Dopas
Oh, really?
Cuco
Yeah. I think the last, the last psychedelic experience I had was involuntary. I had had dislocated my shoulder and I went to the, to the ER and they like, k. Hold me to like, pop my arm back in.
Dopas
Wait, they put ketamine? Did you ask for it?
Cuco
No, they usually. So the first time I went for, for the same thing because I, I like climbing and like, rock climbing. Yeah, like bouldering.
Dopas
Wait, like at a gym?
Cuco
At a gym, not outdoors.
Dopas
Oh, yeah, you're risking. You got a lot going on.
Cuco
But I guess I didn't. I had dislocated my shoulder in 2019. I didn't know that it messed up if, well, I mean, not even that. I just didn't know how easily it could pop out again if you had already dislocated it once. So when I was climbing, I did this, like, move, like this like, l move for my arm, and it just slid out like butter.
Dopas
Disgusting way to see.
Cuco
But trying to slide it back in, like, it was impossible. So they did. I went to the hospital and the first time I went, it took them like, I was like in there for like seven hours because they had a, you know, they have emergency, like, people coming in and so they have to tend other people. Then they had it, Then they had an X ray. My.
Dopas
She's sitting there holding it.
Cuco
Yeah, it hurts the whole time. It hurts the whole time.
Dopas
It's not, I always thought about that.
Cuco
It's not like. Yeah, it doesn't dissipate. Like, it stays.
Marty O'Neal
You're a musician, so you got to be like, extra scared. Like your might be messed up, right?
Cuco
Oh, yeah. Yeah. I mean, I, I, I could, it could have been popped out. I could still move my hand, but it's not ideal. Like, it just hurts. Yeah, it hurts. I mean, obviously I don't want to break fingers. Then that would, that would probably me up, but yeah, and then they had to get X rays and they had to like, move my arm around and it's just like, just in there. Like, flesh is just like. But yeah, by the time they figured out whatever, like, they, they did this called conscious sedation. And they give you, like, a substance to, to just like, relax your body. Because the problem is that my muscles got so tensed up from the pain that it wasn't popping up, popping in without it. So they, they gave me a fentanyl the first time. But when, like, the doctor gives it to you, it's sounds like it's like, real. It's kind of. It was chill. So, like I just. I went in and, like, I could see what was happening. It was conscious sedation. I was actually conscious, and I saw what happened, and I was like. I was faded, but whatever. Pop back in, it was. I. I was sedated. I didn't. It wasn't. Not painful, but it's disassociated from where you're at. Yeah, that's pretty cool.
Dopas
I said, that sounds. It's kind of.
Cuco
But then the second four. Yeah, but the second time was same. And I saw the. I saw the doctor when I came in, I was like, yo, I really don't want to be in here waiting for, like, seven hours. Can you, like, please just pop it in? She's like, dude, it's gonna hurt. And, dude, she went around the world, like, five times, and it couldn't go in, and it was so painful. But I was just. I was begging. I was like, bro, just please, like, it doesn't matter how bad. She's like, bro, your muscles are tense. Like, I can't. I can't do it. Then she gave me a hydrocodone to calm it down, and then also slept my arm with a. With a needle, and then came back, like, 40 minutes later when everything's supposed to have, like, kicked in.
Dopas
40 minutes.
Cuco
And, bro, I just. I just remember I had less pain because of the meds, but, yeah, she came in, try to pop it in. She was like, dude, we're gonna have to do kind of sedition on you. So, you know, another five, six hours pass by. And also in the process of this, bro, so. Because I'm leading up to this ketamine thing and the process of this, you know how the emergency rooms, they have, like, the little curtains and each. Each. So it's like, somebody could be in there. Yeah, somebody in there could be, like, just coughing or dying, you know, they put me in one of my. In a little curtain, and then they have to wheel me out again because this lady comes in dead. So she's getting, like, revived, whatever the fuck. They revive her. Then they find another little curtain section for me, you know, and all this is happening, and they're just functioning whatever the fuck I'm facing down because it's the least painful position for me. So I'm. I'm just looking at the floor while all this is happening. And then finally they set me up. They do the X rays again. And this nurse comes up. He's like, yo, we're doing the conscious sedation on you, but we don't have what we usually have. So we're going to have to give you ketamine and probable. And I was like, okay, I know what ketamine is. I was like, what's probable? And I think the dude was trying to make a joke, but it was a terrible joke. He said, oh, it's just the stuff Michael Jackson OD on.
Dopas
That's why I was like, michael Jackson, shit, that's messed up.
Cuco
It was terrible. Yeah. As you're hurting, staring straight at the floor. And he just like chuckled and walked away. I was like, bro, that's not funny.
Dopas
All you saw was his shoes. Dickhead wears those shoes.
Cuco
And. Yeah, dude. So then they. They gave me the kid of me. But this like, knocked me out. Like, it wasn't. I was not conscious, bro. I. I just remember they gave that to me and then I just into like the next dimension. Dude, don't remember.
Dopas
Wait, wait. So they gave you too much to where you.
Cuco
I mean, I. I don't know if it was too much. It might have been. It's just.
Dopas
Just. That's what it does.
Cuco
Maybe they. I guess it's conscious because I was still like, eyes open maybe. I don't know. I just. I just remember disappearing.
Dopas
Go.
Cuco
I went, dude, I went into like the craziest plane. Like, it. But it wasn't colors. It was. I don't even know how to describe it, bro. It was like black and gray, white. And like the only color was like a cream color, like olive and like olive color. And then it was just patterns and it felt like I was like on a coat hanger and like I was just falling like endlessly. Like this.
Dopas
Like the loop at the end of your love letter to LA where you. Where it's falling.
Cuco
Yes, I'm the Aztec shit. Yeah. So I was just going and going and going and the first thing I remember feeling was like, oh, damn. Like, I totally see how somebody could lose themselves because it's scary as fuck, you know how, like, I, like, sadly, there's people that you. You know. Like, I don't know if you've come across people, but I've met people that have, like, tripped and never came back from that trip. It's like they just stayed stuck. So in my head I understood. I was like, oh, wow. Like, I see how this could happen. But then I was like, oh, I'm not coming back from this. Like, I'm. This is where I die.
Dopas
Oh.
Cuco
But then I started trying to, like, form with the, like, all the patterns and I started trying to form my hand because I'm Like, I just don't even know what I am. I don't. I forget that, like, I'm a human. I'm a person.
Dopas
Sucks.
Cuco
It was bad. It sucked. It sucked really bad, bro. Like, yeah, it was scary. And I'm. I don't know if my. My body's just having a terrible reaction because I'm. They're popping my arm back in while currently happening.
Marty O'Neal
Damn. Just give me some anesthesia.
Dopas
Yeah, we give you a bad trip while I. You up.
Cuco
And then. Yeah, and then, like. And then the. The scariest part was when I lost, like, all my sense of, like, language. So my thoughts, bro, were just much. I was. I just felt like a baby. And I knew was fear.
Dopas
Yeah, that T shirt felt like a baby. And on fear. Oh, that's what you say. Like Samuel Jackson. I just thought some cold to say to him. That's what it feels like.
Cuco
It's like, yeah, I feel like, bro, it was crazy. And then I finally came back. Oh, pissed, dude. And it felt. Loki felt like, real. Like, insanely real. And, yeah, I was like, bro, there's no way I haven't been in there for at least like, 50 years or some. And I was thinking like, man, I have gray hairs. My mom has no idea where I'm at. And I asked the lady, like, I'm like. And the room is still coming back, you know, so everything's still, like, shifting around. And I still know. I'm like. I'm like, how. How long has it been? And she's like, 20 minutes. And I'm just like, bro, it was. It was crazy. And then in another curtain, unrelated to this lady that had just died, there was somebody else that was like, getting told by a nurse, like, yeah, if you want to see your final goodbye, Somebody else came in dead, bro.
Dopas
What the.
Cuco
It sucks, but I don't know, maybe that's what happened.
Dopas
You went in the dimension. Like, these souls are leaving. You kind of got a little drift of that.
Cuco
Yeah. Granted, this is my experience. I don't know if, like, everything's. I don't have the Pro bowl had anything to do with it, because I've had. I've heard people have crazy, different K experiences. That was. Yeah, that, like, that one was just my K hole experience. And that was.
Dopas
Doesn't sound like a recreational thing, because I know people that do it recreationally. And I'm like, I don't know. It's like, don't worry if you can't. I'll be there for you. But what are you gonna do for me. No, you're not gonna do nothing for me.
Marty O'Neal
If I slip into this other dimension.
Dopas
As I'm falling, I see your ass go, hey, hey. All right, I'll check on you a little bit. Oh, you. So I can get out be falling forever. No, thanks, dude.
Cuco
Yeah, it was scary, dude. So that. That. That me up?
Dopas
Yes.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
I knew it. I was like, I'm ready into some store. I love stories.
Marty O'Neal
Is that your most intense trip ever?
Cuco
I mean, in. In terms of, like, fully. Yeah, that was probably the most intense one.
Dopas
Also. Real quick, before we forget he even tabs the video. Whose idea was it to get the fool's gone Wild and whose idea was it to put fool's gone wild and write an actual verse for it? Because it works so good, dude. The Broken Window shit. Like, it's a love song. And this was singing broken window. It was so sick. It comes from behind the plants to show and reveal. It's this full. Yeah, I loved it.
Cuco
It was honestly was so long ago, but I just remember everybody being down for that. And we're just like, let's just run it.
Dopas
Yeah, dude. And not even that, like, cameos are funny, but the verse with it was so good. Yeah, it worked with. Oh, man. I really liked it. You'll see a lot of videos, like, with, like, oh, there's story behind this. I can't. Like, when you guys do the shots where. Or like when the girl with the gun and the like, the shots where it's sun, it kind of reminds me like some Wes Anderson movies, like, where they have all those poppy colors.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
And the. On the tracks. I don't know. That's what reminded me.
Cuco
Yeah. No, for sure. I mean, we always. We always try to. Whenever we do anything to make it feel as authentic. So obviously, whether it's like the fool's going wild and it'd be kind of like a part of, like, the culture out here or just something with, you know, with dock wiler. All the cars in there, too, was like. Like, really? The homies are the homies. Homies. Like, it's not. It's not like show cars. Yeah. Whips that we rented out. That's why this had that feel.
Dopas
It was like a pickup, a Beamer, or. Look at that little. That little, like, street racer Mike. Yeah. These are their cars.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You tell right off the bat when I hit the back of that red truck in the 45 video. My honest. Hit their cars. You can tell right away. Yeah.
Cuco
Yeah. So that. That was all like. We just make sure that everything we do is. Is as close to home as possible. Because I don't know, man. I'm not. I'm not about to like, fabricate some story or some shit to just try to fit a narrative or whatever I'm doing. It's like, no, like, this is actually how I grew up. This is where I grew up. Like, these are. These are actual peeps that are around us. It is what it is, you know, Like I'm. I. I like to give everything at face value.
Marty O'Neal
I'm trying to be cool.
Cuco
Yeah. I mean, it comes off cool.
Dopas
That's awesome.
Cuco
Like, I'm not trying exactly for it. Yeah. If it caught. Yeah. If people think it's sick, then it' just sick. Because that's.
Dopas
That's what your fans always gravitate. Even if they don't know their fans yet, they'll always find it. That's how you find new music. And you go, oh, there's a whole world in this genre of. Like, when I found out about Psycho Billy music. Like Greasers. They're white creasers. Holy. I love this. I didn't know there's cultures. There's. I mean, look at ICP. They're on year 25 of the meeting of the jugglers, bro. So I'm not comparing your music to.
Cuco
The meeting of the jugglers, but also like Grateful Dead too. Like all the Dead heads and years.
Dopas
There's still like seven year old ladies just ready to get naked for that. They love it, dude. No, they. They will. Your grandma loves it.
Cuco
They stayed in Woodstock, bro. Immensely. They're just like, I'm at Woodstock right now.
Dopas
Hey, you know what it's like the end of. It's the end of rec Room for a dream. If she's like stuck in the. She's stuck in the. The game show and everything.
Cuco
That movie was.
Dopas
It was sad.
Cuco
That movie was, bro.
Dopas
No one came out on top.
Cuco
Nobody, bro.
Dopas
Nobody, dude. Usually somebody.
Cuco
Yeah. I remember seeing that movie and I was just like, upset that anybody would.
Dopas
Yeah.
Cuco
To me, I was like, why'd you.
Dopas
Do that to me, man? No happy ending at all.
Cuco
At all, bro.
Dopas
They're in prison withdrawal. Arm. Hooker. Crazy. Only one that won't go. That sells the tv.
Cuco
Yeah, that's it.
Dopas
Or the black dude.
Cuco
Also, I feel like friend loathing in Las Vegas is such a weird ending. Tourist. Yes.
Dopas
Okay. Nothing. It just does. It's just kind of like.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
If that's a good word for. It's like, all right. Yeah, the movie's over. There's no ending. It's just.
Cuco
Movie's just over and Enter the Void. So. You ever seen Enter the Void?
Dopas
No.
Cuco
That movie's with who's in it. Honestly, I don't even remember who's in it.
Dopas
Old.
Cuco
I just remember. Yeah, it's about like DMT and like that takes place in, I want to say Tokyo or some.
Dopas
Oh, sounds a kind of cool.
Cuco
Yeah, but it's up. Yeah, it gets dark like I, I, I. They're good movies though, you know, like as long as if you make, if you can make somebody real up, then.
Marty O'Neal
You did your job.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You can invoke a reaction that I would say, if you think about a movie the next morning, go, damn it. Then you know it's good. Like the first time I saw American Beauty, I'm like, come on man, you knew he didn't like you. I don't know, I just. You always want to change it every time you watch it. Like I can't watch the movie. Pisses me off.
Cuco
I felt after watching Goodfellas, dude.
Dopas
Why?
Cuco
I don't know, I just loved it. It's just a good ass movie.
Dopas
Oh, I thought you meant like the. Damn it.
Cuco
No, I just, I think it's just a great movie.
Dopas
It is a great movie. We talked about it recently. Showed him. And the end is exactly perfect.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
He's like, oh well, you're now a regular dude. Even though you're living a great life, you have a house. And he's just like, I'm not balling though.
Cuco
Yeah. I mean he's also living like a fake life now.
Dopas
Yeah. It's like it's just never enough for this guy.
Cuco
In his protection, everything.
Dopas
Like he's never going to ketchup and noodles or is that ketchup and chow or noodles and ketchup.
Cuco
Right.
Marty O'Neal
That almost pissed me off.
Dopas
Yeah. And at the end of this, Joe Pesci shoots the camera like eight times. As a kid, I'm like, why did that, why did they show him shoot the camera? Still to this day, why the did he pick that to end his movie with?
Marty O'Neal
I don't know.
Cuco
Casino is fire season. Casino, Casino.
Dopas
How many? All right, I've watched it enough to notice. Have you noticed when they blow up Robert De Niro in the car? It's just a clip and it's an obvious mannequin with no facial features.
Cuco
Oh yeah.
Dopas
With the suit and it blows up. It's like it's a big budget movie, dude. Your editor couldn't have been like dog, zoom in a little Cut his face off. I don't know.
Cuco
Shot on film too. So they. They were just.
Dopas
Oh, that's why. They were just like, oh, there's no second take. And he blew up a car. Never mind now, I mean, even if.
Cuco
It wasn't on films, blowing up a car, you just probably not getting another whip to blow up.
Marty O'Neal
That's a good point.
Dopas
I mean, it's. You're making a point, but come on, you can't.
Cuco
Yeah, no, I feel it, I feel it, I feel it, I feel it.
Dopas
I would have had you like find someone else's car. Lose a budget. Yeah, I would have had to, man. Perfectionist.
Cuco
I mean, that would have been a small dent too, in the budget anyways.
Dopas
Yeah, you pay Robin or $9 million. Probably just give him like 2, 20 grand less.
Marty O'Neal
We can't get another Buick in here.
Dopas
Yeah, right.
Cuco
She back then too.
Dopas
Yeah, it was like a current car at the time. Damn, that's a trip. I would love to have an old ass Cadillac. Sorry, I'm getting way off topic. Yes. That is a great movie.
Marty O'Neal
He's a car collector, right?
Cuco
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Dopas
What kind of cars you into?
Cuco
I have also.
Dopas
You don't smoke. You say you're sober.
Cuco
Yeah, I'm sober.
Dopas
Okay. So I'm not gonna box. You not fight.
Cuco
Are you good? Oh, yeah, I don't care. I mean, I don't care. That's the thing.
Dopas
No. Are you around weed?
Cuco
Yeah. I mean, this, it's the industry, dude. Like, I'm around. I'm going to mess it up if.
Dopas
I smoke around you.
Cuco
No, you're chilling.
Dopas
All right. I just don't want to be the reason, like, damn it. I smoke again and I don't like it.
Cuco
N. You're chilling, you're chilling.
Dopas
Make sure, man. I want to ruin it.
Marty O'Neal
Did you mess with weed before you started being sober?
Cuco
I was never a weed smoker, man.
Dopas
Really?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Straight into psychedelics.
Cuco
Yeah. Oh, also in high school, bro. Like, we smoked whatever we could. So anytime I did smoke, it was like late. Like I. I never had a good trip with we. So then I just. I just always was paranoid whenever I smoked weed. So then I was just like, I mean, if I'm. I've already done this, I might as well jump in. It's like, dude, that's not cool.
Dopas
Someone's lacing your weed. That's extra. Why do people do that? It's more money to lace wheel.
Cuco
I have no idea.
Dopas
You're losing.
Cuco
Like, I felt like. I felt like a static tv. I was Just. I just be fried for like, hours. I was like, that sounds terrible.
Dopas
It's not fun in California getting laced weed. That's sad, dude. That's not cool.
Cuco
And Boston, we were like in high school, dude. So we couldn't go to, like, the shops.
Dopas
And you gotta find the one white kid that's quiet because he's got the fire. He's a grower, I promise.
Cuco
The little, like, kid genius that just knows how to like, draw the good. Yes. Oh.
Marty O'Neal
Nowadays, kids with tech and those kids are probably on a completely different level now, bro.
Cuco
But also, even the acid, though, when we would take it was like research chems. It wasn't even like pure lsd. So we were just tripping off of, like, crazy. I had a blast. I had a blast. But it was. It was definitely some crazy. I was like 15.
Dopas
Yeah. So you're not a weed smoker, but you jumped in the psychedelics. I feel like you wore. You skated and wore the brand crew a lot. That's the. All the fools that did psychedelics wore crew with the K. Am I right?
Cuco
I wore. Girl, I wore a lot of active. Oh, you know, active ride shot.
Dopas
Yeah.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Really?
Cuco
We had one in the South Bay and then it was clutch, bro. Because they would have these sales, like, like these clearance racks, bro, and you get maybe like, like three or four T shirts for like 10 or 15 bucks because they were just getting rid of shipping, like past season. It was clutch, bro. So you would. So, like, my mom would take me when they were having all these sales and I just for like, nothing, just get hella. And it's cool because sometimes I'd be like, damn. Like that. That's. That's an expensive hoodie and from like the season before and then come back a few months later and it's on the clearance rack.
Dopas
Edit. Let's do. Yeah, everybody's wearing the one they bought. I remember that.
Cuco
Yeah. So my mom. My mom. My mom, she would always take me. Like, she was just. She would be like, yo, like, you wanna. You wanna check out what they have on sale? And then I'm like, yeah, yeah.
Dopas
Remember the Vulcan store had an. They had an outlet.
Cuco
Yeah, I remember those days. Yeah. My mom's a saint, though. If she saw. She saw I really, really like something, she would be like, yeah, I'll get it for you.
Dopas
Hell, yeah. What you do for work?
Cuco
She cleaned houses.
Dopas
Oh, good. Damn. She's really real. You must really like that sweater then. Because I feel that.
Cuco
Yeah. Yeah, I would. I would hate to. I'd Never ever ask you for anything, bro. Just growing up, my mom and my dad, like, I never liked asking for anything.
Dopas
Just feel bad.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah. I always saw them work. I saw how they worked. I feel like you kind of pick up on that when you're young. Even like, even if you're a kid like, you and you see that. He's like, oh, yeah.
Dopas
Oh, yeah. But let's see it at home. I'm not even hungry.
Cuco
But see, like, Mexicans are very, like, very humble too. So you kind of pick that up at a young age too. You're just like, oh, I can't ask for anything. I can't do this. Like, I shouldn't. So.
Dopas
Yeah, it sounds like growing up.
Cuco
Yeah, like, don't ask you for a thing.
Dopas
That's why I collected cans.
Cuco
Like, oh, yeah, we used to do that too.
Dopas
I used to do that. Like, no one. I'm gonna ask nobody for nothing.
Cuco
You ever school. You ever stomped on the cans too, so that they could. You could fit more?
Dopas
Oh, I would stop on the cans and I would put a couple rocks in it.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, the weight. Yeah.
Dopas
I was a little bastard kid. I got caught once. The guy grabbed and went, don't do that again. He threw it out, went, oh, there's about 12 more in there. Yeah, yeah, I know I'm a bastard, but I did that a few times as a kid.
Cuco
But there are also. Cuz. But at some point too, they stop. They stopped letting you bring in cans that were squished. They were smashing there.
Dopas
Oh, I did. I was like 19.
Cuco
What do. What do you get? Like, what do you gain from being an ass?
Dopas
They probably get more money or, you know what, what do they. I don't know, actually.
Cuco
I don't know. I don't care, though.
Dopas
Did you ever do it so much? Did you get to the. The ones they had, like the machine just throw it into the hole. Yeah, that was kind of sick when that happened. Oh, I'm gonna talk to nobody. Get that. And I'd go into the. To the grocery store and catch it in. That's a double weed right there.
Cuco
Yeah, I remember. I do remember the. The ones where you would bring the bags, but then you had to transfer everything from the bags onto, like, the metal baskets and.
Dopas
Yeah. Oh, yeah, that was everywhere.
Cuco
Yeah, because that was the main one.
Dopas
I remember Dan's metal baskets were disgusting. They were always so.
Cuco
Smelled crazy.
Dopas
Yeah, it smelled like stagnant water, dude.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
God, I do, you know, I kind of do miss, you know what's crazy. Give me 20 bucks. Cool. Give me a couple bags of cans. As a kid. Oh, I might be a millionaire. You know what's in here? I don't know why it was always, like.
Cuco
Because every time. Every time, I was gonna be, like, a different.
Dopas
Yeah.
Cuco
Like, different amount. Yeah, 23.
Marty O'Neal
That's true.
Dopas
I love that.
Marty O'Neal
Different bracket.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Like, I used to do that. I used to just. No, I just. That was my job as a kid.
Cuco
No. I mean, yes. It's. It's a real. Real hustle, bro. Anytime. Yeah, dude. If I. I think also just because I know my bro. My grandma, when she came to the States, that my mom was telling me that she used to just take a shopping cart and go around. And people still do that.
Dopas
Yeah.
Cuco
Yeah. Like, so if I. If I ever see people doing that, like, I just. I just pull out some. Some cash and just give it to them and. Because it'll be like, three, four in the morning and always. And so I'll just. And if I hear him and I'm awake, I'm like, bro, like, it's always a couple.
Dopas
It's always an eligible.
Cuco
Yeah, bro.
Dopas
Every time.
Cuco
Yeah, dude. They're just, like, hustling through that.
Dopas
Asian fools do that, too. Older Asian couples. In my town, it's always his old man. Old. And his wife by the fairgrounds every time. But the time, it's, like, always cool. It's like, all right, you didn't make a mess. Thank you. I appreciate you. Because some fools just dump your. Yeah. Bastards.
Cuco
Yeah. But it's not always, though. At least. At least around. Around where I'm at, they don't. They don't do that. They're. They're really, like. It's like, on top of that, it's like, damn. Like, you're struggling. You're doing all this, and you're just so, like, I'm not gonna leave a mess. Like, it's just a lot, bro.
Dopas
As I get older, I give like, damn, do I feel bad now? Because I was a kid, I'm like, man, I wish I could give you some money. And now it's like, I can, but what else? Like, that's it. It's gonna help for, like, 20 minutes.
Cuco
Yeah. It's so weird.
Dopas
Like, when I see straight dogs as a kid, I'm like, I'll take you, but, like, who's gonna pay for your.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You know, it's weird, dude. Seeing a stray dog now. I'm like, I just don't want a dog.
Cuco
I hate seeing Strand was too.
Dopas
So Weird. Now I'm getting older.
Cuco
Like, I get sad, bro.
Dopas
It is. Like, we watched this clip earlier. This dog hit an electric fence. So off topics, dog, titan, electric fence, and this donkey straight up laughed his ass off like a cartoon, bro. Laugh like, I'm like, I would chill with a animal so hard if it could speak, if he can respond to jokes. If you had an animal and you said it a joke, and your dog. I would be there every day. Every day right here. He'd be chilling, right? You'd be a third coast.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Come on. Oh, yeah. Okay. It's so off topic. It's so off topic. It's so dumb to watch, but it's incredible.
Marty O'Neal
Dog got zapped.
Cuco
Come on. That probably happened to him, too. He knows what it is.
Dopas
Pretty much. That's Eddie Murphy from Trek in there, dude. He's a real human in there, I swear.
Cuco
Well, speaking of, can't you ever. You ever put the cans on your bike wheels to make them sound like a motorcycle? Yeah, of course.
Dopas
Oh, you played outside?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You got scraped ass knees.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah.
Dopas
Put that on the thing. Or you can clip a card to it. I saw that.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
First movie it. I'm like, 70s. Yeah, well, it was from the movie. It. It was. Yeah, exactly. Man, would you ever do. What was it? You could put something on your tire. What was it? You could put something on your tire and you could. You could slide. Did you tie something to your tire? Oh, yeah. If you could tie, like, a can to your tire when you flatten it, and then you hit your brake and.
Cuco
You get like, oh, no.
Dopas
But it has to be wet. It wasn't very functional, but we tried. You know, your kid, you're like, what else? You're making concoctions. It's like, squeeze this and this and put some dirt in this and some water.
Cuco
It's out of boredom.
Dopas
Just for no reason.
Cuco
Put a bunch of. And he's like, cool. Now what I do.
Dopas
Yep. And I would shake it and leave.
Cuco
It in the sun because my grandma.
Dopas
Lives in the country. They're diesel mechanics. I'd be like, all right, there's grease. I put some grease. Put this blue stuff, some soap.
Cuco
I can't remember if it worked, but I remember having a magnifying glass and, like, trying to burn a leaf because I was just like, does it work?
Dopas
It works. Oh, it works.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
I don't know balls like that.
Cuco
Yeah. I don't remember if. If it worked for me or not. I might have been too stupid for that, but it works.
Dopas
Did you Ever. I mean, don't. I'm not suggesting anybody do it, but. You ever burn anything as a kid?
Cuco
I blew it. Okay.
Dopas
We all did that.
Cuco
I also blew up a. I just. I was dumb, bro. I don't know why. I was like, what happens if I put this quarter in this electric socket and it exploded?
Dopas
Oh, yeah, you were holding it.
Cuco
It hurt. Yeah. Thankfully. Like, it. It didn't. Like, it just let out a. A big ball of smoke and fire. And if my hand was just black and my hair was like. I look like a mad scientist.
Dopas
Oh.
Cuco
Because I was like this. So I was like, super nice. Yeah. It could have been bad.
Dopas
Okay.
Cuco
Yeah. And the. The quarter was, like, fried, bro. It was just. Wow.
Dopas
So that works.
Cuco
Yeah, it works. I wouldn't.
Dopas
Holy. Were you at least five?
Cuco
I was older, so.
Dopas
Oh, I'm telling you, you survived.
Cuco
Yeah, it's like his kids die from that. I thought they get chocolate forks, I think, because. Yeah, it got. It got pushed away. I got what. That's what happened. It was just more of a. I.
Dopas
Gotta be honest, I never done some like that.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
To where I would love, like. Like the logo on the Warhead candies.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah, exactly.
Cuco
You ever had a firework blow up with that? Wasn't supposed to blow up on the ground? Yeah.
Dopas
Oh, yeah. The ones that shoot up, but it just goes.
Cuco
Yeah. Like the. Like the. Like two years ago mortars and.
Dopas
Yeah. With my homie OG One just didn't blow up. And it didn't go off. It just blew up in the street. Yo, that's a bomb. I don't know if anyone remembers it. Fireworks are fucking bombs.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Happen to look really sick. That's it. Yo, I. I remember. I was like, firecrackers. You know the. Remember that? The strip of firecrackers and it's all tied together.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Well, if you're poor, you undo them and you.
Cuco
Yeah. You have what? You have a lot of. Yeah, of course.
Dopas
Well, yeah, Like, I have five boxes.
Cuco
I still do that, bro. Thank you.
Dopas
I won't go to waste. There's no way.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
So I untwisted those and I was doing it. My grandma's grandma Graces and I. She's a truck driver. I'm like, she's not home. I know she's not home. I'll see the truck coming up. I don't know how she escaped me, but she got home. I'm lighting firecrackers and they hear heck as I'm lighting it. And I hold it behind my back like it's gonna do anything. It blew up in my hand black and it didn't bleed, but it got like that open skin a little. And she saw. She cleaned the hand off for me. So it's not. I got in trouble and I got hurt. Oh yeah, what a dumb kid, dude. But I remember putting it behind my back like it would do something.
Cuco
I had a stupid ass. I had one of those fire. You know those like grenades that you pull, but it's like just a firework.
Dopas
Do you remember those?
Cuco
So I pulled the grenade, but the entire firework got stuck on the clip instead of it staying stuck inside the firework. So I had it, but it hadn't it been ignited yet. And I was just confused. I was like, wait, like, what is it supposed to do? I don't know why I was so confused at like the mechanic. I don't know. I didn't know what I was looking at. And I was holding the clip in my hand and as I was gonna just grab it to see what. What it was, the clip gets undone and the firework just all blows up inside my hand. Like both hands just like burnt and like my stomach gets burnt. Then the next day I have like, like, you know, the puss balls. I have like five of them. Yeah, five of them on both hands. And then like that's probably one on this. And then like four of them here. And I had like three little ones in my stomach.
Dopas
You have second degree burn, sir?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Oh my God. Yeah. Holy. The bubbles. I've gotten a bubble once and I was like, oh, I need to go to the hospital, man. I got five and stomach ones. I would have died from being.
Marty O'Neal
So I got one from God's son when I was a child from this.
Dopas
Son through my shirt. That is.
Cuco
That's a sick. That's a segue of saying this son from God's son.
Marty O'Neal
How powerful was.
Dopas
I'm so white. I sunburn bubbled through clothes in New York.
Marty O'Neal
I went for real. I remember I saw sandlot in the movie theater with a giant bandage on my ship.
Dopas
It was that bad?
Marty O'Neal
Yeah.
Dopas
Oh my God. I've never had a reaction like that. That sounds terrible.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah. I've had. I've had a grip of fireworks that just didn't make it to the sky. I think it's like part of. Part of just blowing a kid. Well, just Bono fire. I love fireworks, bro. I lowkey like at my grown ass age. I love when you travel on tour.
Dopas
Do you go to states that have legal fireworks?
Cuco
Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. I, like, sometimes I have little backlots where you can just pop them.
Dopas
That's like buying weed and being able to smoke it there. That's so sick.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You want to blow these up? Yeah, that feels double dipping. He used to watch his shit blow up, too. Oh, well, this loves fireworks, too.
Cuco
Yeah, I mean, bro. Yeah, they're pyros, bro. Like super pyros.
Dopas
It's kind of boring in some places like that too. I get it. Because, like, I. I grew up bored. Like, yeah, you do some stupid when you're bored. Finding something. I'm like, whoa, what is this? I guess I could do something with, like. I remember being born in the country. Damn, I would wish that on nobody. We didn't have Internet. It was just Spanish channels. Yeah, that one, like, two other channels that came in on the satellite and that was it, dude.
Cuco
Yeah. I can't imagine that, man. I just. That's why I'm so. I'm so happy I. I'm out here. Like, I grew up in Hawthorne because.
Dopas
Yeah, you grew up in a populated area.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah.
Marty O'Neal
What's Hawthorne like?
Cuco
It's fire, bro. I. It's so. It's a melting pot, bro. Like, I had homies that were from, like, everywhere, and. And a lot of us just, like, skating, dude. So it was skate. Like, I'd be on acid. Everybody had their own little jug of choice when we were in high school. So some fools would be, like, just smoked out. Some fools would be on acid. Supposed to be on, like, Molly. Some food is like, Those are adult.
Dopas
Dudes that do acid, though. In high school, you do acid and you skate. That's why I said, like, you have to do work crew and, like, you could kick foot that folk hit Rails, blunt slide, Daffles. It's good.
Cuco
I suck this game, bro.
Dopas
Okay. You know what I mean?
Cuco
Ass, bro.
Dopas
You wear closet and you do acid. You're scientist.
Cuco
Yeah, that's what.
Dopas
From where I'm from. Like, dude, do acid. You don't have acid from, like, mushrooms. And that's it.
Marty O'Neal
I've never even seen acid.
Dopas
I mean, you don't really see. It can come in many shapes and forms. It's usually just on the. On the little sheets. I always put them. Just put them in the V. You ever see people put in their eye?
Cuco
I wouldn't do that. That's stupid, right?
Dopas
Okay. I've seen people do it. I'm like, but what is the benefit?
Marty O'Neal
What about your eye? Like, what the. I wouldn't want to.
Dopas
I mean, I Gotta be honest, I'm.
Cuco
Just not gonna condone any of this.
Dopas
Yeah, it's crazy, right?
Cuco
Like, I just. I think that's. It's crazy because, I mean, I. I talk about it and I've done it, but. But I. It goes to say. It goes without saying that, like, it was insanely responsible, bro, because I would not care. Like, I would endorse myself. It would just be like, bro, I'm gonna just take it. And I was flown, but it was like, I'm very lucky that. That I'm. I have all my senses, bro, because I cannot say the same for a lot of folks that I grew up with, but also can, because I have friends that really just, you know, they. They made it and they have us, like, their whole operation going, and. And they made it and they're doing great in life, so. But it's. It's just different. It's about how people consume and how people have the mental capacity. But sometimes. Yeah, but sometimes, like, damn. Like, is it even worth.
Dopas
Yeah, is it worth. But also, you said you were doing. It was like, chemical research. Do you think that's why, like, people you knew growing up weren't getting real psychedelics and they were getting just. That was. I mean, psychedelics are kind of just made but homemade type home. I mean, even homemade. I mean, homemade psychedelics. Homemade wheat. Oh, yeah.
Cuco
I think the formula with, like, lysergic acid, like lsd, is. Is maybe just solid enough that, like, if you do it, you're more than safe. But I mean, more you're likely to be safe. Research cams are research camps. But you were also able to get him, like, on, you know, online before they banned them because it was because they were tweaked chemicals and like that. So you were just kind of able to. We were just able to order that and they just banned him. And we're like, all right, cool, whatever. But we had a cool run with it. I don't know how it is, and I have no idea what anything in that world is. Like, that's just how it was when I was growing up.
Marty O'Neal
Were you doing music heavy at that time?
Cuco
Yeah, I was already doing hella music.
Marty O'Neal
So you're tripping, making music all the time.
Cuco
Yeah, and it was legal because it wasn't, you know, it wasn't bad. So we just. It was all. Everything I was doing was within. Within the. The current law of whatever the time I was living in.
Dopas

Thank you so much. Good luck on the giveaway. So question because you asked. It's like a different. I've never done acid. I'm always nervous that I'm not going to come back because we talked about it many times. I won't bore everybody again. My aunt used to do ass a lot. Her friend took it and she just. She was just gone. She never came back. She's full. Gone schizophrenic completely. Just people are in the walls type of lady. Right? Which is terrible. She was in high school or they were 17, 18. So I'm like, I'll never do acid, but give me those mushrooms. So I eat the. Out of mushrooms because I can control them. And then I hear acids controllable. And it's a lot more fun than what. And I hear all these things. Marty talks about the first time I used to make music. So when Marty talked about the first psychedelic trip that actually worked for him recently. He's like, I could see the music coming out.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Okay. So you two. All right? I need to experience. I think I really want to experience that.
Cuco
It's. It's weird though. It's like. It's. It's not. It's not. It's even hard to explain it because I think.
Dopas
Attainable.
Cuco
Yeah. To begin with, I think everybody feels it differently. So like you might see something like entirely different than whatever I'm seeing.
Dopas
I just want to. Have you ever. Okay. Have you ever seen the same thing with somebody or tripped out, like say a girl that you're with or anything and you guys kind of. Because I thought that she was fake till happened to me. But have you. Have you ever experienced something like, you heard that, too? I was. I just saw it. But you saw.
Cuco
I had one of my. Actually, you know what? One of my best friends and I tripped when we were, like, 16 one day. And so we were just skating and skating, and, you know, we're in the bus. Took the bus to as far as the. The bus that goes on Hawthorne could take us. We're not as far. We stopped probably, like, at the South Bay Galleria, and then I went to the Guitar Center. So she's, like, chilling on her phone. I'm playing guitar, and, bro, I start hearing, like, these. I start hearing, like. Like, plugs and, like, little, like, you know, And I'm just like, this is crazy. Sounds like some. Like, some banjo. But it was some foot, bro. It was some dude. Some old guy in, like, overalls. He wasn't wearing a shirt. Cool, bro. Straight. It was weird as, bro.
Dopas
Like, it was really there, though.
Cuco
He was. He was there. Like, he had, you know. You know that jaw. Yeah, like the tweet. Yeah. Super tweaker jaw, but the white tweaker jaw, it's different.
Dopas
It's like the bitter beer face guy.
Cuco
Exactly. Yeah. And he had the straw, like, the. The wheat, like, hanging from his mouth, bro. Yes. I swear to God. And a hat, you know, and he was just jamming on that. I was. Yeah, old, bro. He was like. I don't know how the he ended. And this is also. This is Redondo beach, bro. Like, this is. This is. Yeah, this is the South Bay. I didn't exchange a single word with him, bro. I was just playing and playing along with him for, like, four or five minutes. He put the down, dipped out. And I looked up at my friend. She was still on her phone. I was like, no, that. That just happened, dude. And as we're walking out, she, like, put her phone away. Stops. He's like, yo, did that just happen? And I'm like, what did you see? And she explained. Basically, we both saw. And I was like, all right. So that. So, honestly, it was probably there. Like, the dude was actually there. So that. It was actually. Yeah, but I had it. Yeah, I had it. I was like, yo, dude, am I really hallucinating a whole person in a situation? Fool was actually there, so I have. So it wasn't anything spiritual. It was just more like, oh, damn. Like, that was actually there a little.
Dopas
Did you know he's like, this Mexican. So close. I'm trying to play here. You guys believe. Come on. That's. He's got a whole podcast. He's just a farmer. This dude. I don't know. You like Ralph Barboza a little bit. Just a little.
Cuco
Yeah, bro. So I was. That was. That was. That was trippy as. Dude. I was glad. Yeah, I was glad my friend was there because I would have. I would have gone my whole life wondering like, damn.
Dopas
I've only had to ask, is this real? You guys see it? You guys see it? I only had to do that a few times when I'm tripping, like just to. Okay, we all see it. Okay. There's a few times like, oh my.
Cuco
God, where am I?
Dopas
Because like, like you said, when. When the words go away, when I start saying my own name and it doesn't make sense is when I'm like, make sure I stay in the house. That's when I know it's like I'm about to dis. I'm not gonna know what my face is soon.
Cuco
Yeah, right.
Dopas
Look at the face go. That's what my face is.
Cuco
You know, people always said that. That you shouldn't look in the mirror when you're tripping. Yeah, I really like it. It's. But it's weird cuz I. I like being in the. If I was ever like super like. Oh, like I'm. I'm feeling kind of bad. I would just go into the bathroom, look in the mirror, talk to myself. There was. There was a bar, there's a Barnes and Nobles by my house. So I would just. Anytime I. I just felt like I needed to just get some. Some R R time. If I was tripping really hard, I would skate all the way. And it was. It was not close to my house though. No, it was like probably like a 25 minute escape.
Dopas
Oh my God. It's actually like six miles though. It's.
Cuco
It's close. It's close. It's within like drug time. Yeah, I mean, kind of. I would just always end up in that area though.
Dopas
Do you go on adventures?
Cuco
Oh, yeah, bro. I would wreck it, bro. I would trek it.
Dopas
I want to experience that. That feels like you're living. Actually, I only stay in that. I do not go anywhere. I was like, I have to stay solid, dude.
Cuco
I would trip in school, in class. Like that was always like my.
Dopas
I was never ballsy enough. I just did psych. I just ecstasy in class because I'm not gonna go ah in class, but I don't know. But I'm sweating my jaws.
Cuco
Honestly. Honestly, me, me and like, hello, my friends, bro. Like, we would trip. We would trip. They're still My friends, too, bro.
Dopas
Of course they are like.
Cuco
They're the homies. Yeah, bro. We. We would catch up. I remember one time I put my. My head down, and then I had. I had taken it. Like, it was like nutrition. I was in second period, and I remember I was like, oh, I'm just waiting for it to kick again. And I put my head down. I put my head back up, and I was like, man, it's windy. Because I saw the, like, all the posters, and they were like. Like, just, you know, flying around. And. And then I said. I was like, damn, it's cold. And then I look at my homie. He's like. I'm like, bro, why is it so windy? And I'm tripping balls at this point. I don't realize it. And he's like. He full. The doors closed. And then I'm. I look at the door. I'm like, oh, it started. And then.
Dopas
You have to ask.
Cuco
I was just probably cold because I just. You're a convincing individual.
Dopas
Are you the kid that gets to get home before your parents can check the message from school, though? Is that why you're so brave? Because that's. I was always scared.
Cuco
Like, I mean, nobody could. Nobody. I mean, nobody knew. I was like. Yeah.
Dopas
I'm saying the risk of, like, if they catch me.
Cuco
Yeah, they call.
Dopas
Because, like, were your parents.
Cuco
I just never. I just. My. My parents are nice, but they. They hate jokes. Like. Yeah, they never come. Yeah, they. I think I. Yeah, if they definitely. Probably think weed is worse than anything else I've done.
Dopas
Yeah, for sure. You're brown, dude. It's a re. It's a real.
Cuco
I mean, maybe. Yeah, maybe. Maybe the stigma. Maybe the stigma's gone away a little bit more in the family. Like.
Dopas
Like, no weed. I'll just. No, I won't take Weedy the second stab, but I want your faces to melt.
Cuco
But I've definitely. I've definitely had Converse. I've talked to my mom about this already, too. She was like.
Dopas
She go to terms yet?
Cuco
No, she's cool. She was.
Dopas
She's.
Cuco
She didn't get mad. She was like, wow. So crazy.
Dopas
Your first generation here, then.
Cuco
Yeah, that's why. Yeah, it's always that way.
Dopas
See, I've never. I've never. I knew it.
Marty O'Neal
You know this Mexican.
Dopas
I know it. My family, they hate weed. I do. I do. Like, I have the biggest weed channel on YouTube. That's what I. That's my job. That's what I do. Besides this show. I do weed. And I Just told him recently they're all right now, but it's like, like all my uncle's like, yo, you beat your wife again. You guys are on meth check. He smokes weed. That. What a bad.
Cuco
What a bad guy.
Dopas
It's weird.
Cuco
It's weird as he's like, your dad's choking me.
Dopas
You got weed. This kid, like, oh, I swear to God, it's one day I'm gonna make my movie, dude, and it's gonna start.
Cuco
Like, that's all right, right? You're like a mass. Mass. Like you're serial killer in your cycle. But. But as long as you're not smoking weed.
Dopas
Have me that bottle of. Of of medicine with weed floating in it though, that your grandma has. For some reason they hate we. But they got weed plant in a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
Cuco
It's funny though. My. My. My family actually never really was like, like. Well, I mean that I'm not going to save my entire family because there's definitely been like, substance around, but at least like my parents and like never. They don't even really drink, dude. I don't know where I work. Yeah. I just don't even know what I think. Just the being stupid. And like, obviously I shouldn't, so I'm gonna go do it. And I just did everything.
Dopas
You're a child, man. Yeah, we all went through it, dude. It's kind of weird to think back and go, I was a little dumb.
Marty O'Neal
Were you working a job, like through after high school when you started doing music heavy?
Cuco
I. I did valet partying for like a little bit, bro. And I was. I was like in college and I did valet, but then the music popped off pretty fast, right? Yeah.
Dopas
That's awesome. Awesome. What, you guys flipping burgers, man? I got this record deal.
Cuco
I actually didn't get a record deal till 2019 too. I was independent for a minute.
Dopas
Oh, but still. Yeah, like, enough to where you, like, I can think I could throw a show.
Cuco
Yeah. I mean, it was crazy because even in high school, like, I started getting plays. You know, when I was like 16, 17, random people find me on IG and would, you know, just hit me up and be like, yeah, bro, you should type. And then be like, how old are you? I'm like, I'm. I'm like 16. And then they're like, oh, you're my age. You know, like, we'd be like, so a lot of. A lot of random ass fools that have like, as mutuals. Like, we. They grew up with me because we were in High school. And. And they were. They just been pushing like, with me since. Since we was kids.
Marty O'Neal
You were like, dropping songs?
Cuco
Yeah, bro, I was dropping songs. SoundCloud. As soon as I found out what SoundCloud was, bro, I was like, oh, yeah, let's go, bro. I'm dropping songs. But.
Marty O'Neal
And then how to take off. What happened?
Cuco
I would just post like, slide guitar videos on my Twitter.
Dopas
Oh, really?
Cuco
And then it started blowing up. And then people actually started with my music. And then I Then from there, it was like the music people were like, oh, yeah.
Dopas
Like, well, when you hear. It's kind of universal. Like, oh, yeah, my skinned kids. White kids, girls do. It's. It's a very. It's like. It's. It's very palatable in the terms of like, you're not talking. Even if you do talk about some wild. Because sometimes like in that Fool's Gone Wild, it's like, oh, it has like a melody and a love sound. So I keep going back to. Because I just. It's just great. I really appreciate that.
Marty O'Neal
We got a little, like, sneak peek of the new album.
Cuco
Yeah.
Marty O'Neal
From the label. And like, just the vibe on. Especially number three, the title track. I think that's my favorite one.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, right.
Marty O'Neal
Like, what? Can. Can you give me some background on that track or just like, how you achieve that vibe?
Dopas
That was so professional.
Cuco
Yeah, bro. Bro. We was. Man. We was just in the studio and I. I got in with Tom. Tommy Brennick, who produced the. The whole record. And that was. That was the first track that. That came to be on the whole record, really. And after that, it was just like, oh, yeah, like we should. We got to keep working on this. And it just. It formed into something like, really sick. Tommy. Tommy is a guy, bro. He's a.
Dopas
This is your third.
Cuco
Yeah, it's my third album.
Marty O'Neal
So do the lyrics come first or does the actual music come first?
Cuco
Yeah.
Marty O'Neal
So you find like a little chord that you like. Basically, it's there.
Cuco
Yes. And then the difference with this record was that a lot of this was how to do a like, one takes. And because it. It was like we recorded like, playing along with each other.
Marty O'Neal
Oh.
Cuco
And then like on tape, like those.
Dopas
Old videos you see, like, Led Zeppelin all going at the same time and the studio.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Sick.
Cuco
Yeah. So there was. I don't even think there was like a click in any of these songs because, like, all the drummers were the metronome. So it was all like, superhuman.
Marty O'Neal
Like, it was not digital. No computers involved.
Cuco
I mean, There was computers involved. We had to transfer over everything into the computer at some point because.
Marty O'Neal
But, like, the recording of it, you're saying you're all in the studio at once instead, as opposed to being in individual booths at different times. Then you mix it all together.
Cuco
It's like one room where everybody's just jamming.
Marty O'Neal
Sick.
Cuco
Yeah, it's sick, bro. I. I had never been around something so, so cool. That also made me become, like, a better musician because, like, whenever I. I did, I did compose and arrange the songs. So I had a. For the tracks that I did play on, I had to, like, get the one take, so I had to, you know, really lock in my. Whatever instrument I was playing on and. And just not up.
Dopas
It seems like a lot of pressure. Even though it's your recording studio, you still don't want them because you got.
Marty O'Neal
To start from the top is what you're saying.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because, I mean, at least when you're recording digitally is you. You can make loops and be like, oh, let me just punch it right there and whatever, but take your time. Yeah, but with the tape is crazy. It's fire.
Dopas
That's awesome. Yeah.
Marty O'Neal
Does that, like, do something for the sound, to tape it like that versus, like, going in fully digital?
Cuco
Yeah, I mean, it's. Yeah, for sure. Sounds different. It's like, like white noise. Yeah.
Dopas
Old music when there's no sound going. You hear that?
Marty O'Neal
It's like shooting on film, basically.
Cuco
Literally.
Dopas
Yeah.
Marty O'Neal
Okay.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah. It's. It's a real. And everything.
Dopas
Also, speaking of art, the videos, do you come up with any of the concepts of the music videos?
Cuco
I'll. I'll be in the conversations.
Dopas
Okay.
Cuco
Because. But like, the. The live and Pompeii idea for the 40:45 video was. That was Bro. Bro. Like, he came in, I was like, bro, I needed to be authentic. We should do some. Shot the beach, make it like, yo, we're just kicking it.
Dopas
Oh, you're giving the skeleton of what you think you could want and like, yo, fill in the blank.
Cuco
Yeah. And then he just. And he came in with this crazy concept that I've. And I've always wanted to do something to reference live in Pompeii. And when he said that, I was like, bro, you're a genius.
Dopas
So the reason I'm asking, I'll speak Spanish. I'm the only one in my family that doesn't. And we're learning. Rosie's learning. She's taking Spanish. Help me.
Marty O'Neal
Nice.
Dopas
Maybe I'll come out. Do the intro in Spanish. One day my grandpa's heart will get warm. I don't know. So the video. You have us. See me void. Is that how you say it? See me for. How do you say it, man?
Cuco
Oh, see my boy.
Dopas
Thank you. Thank you. I'm over here. Three syllables. Let's play. You know, it sounded better when you said it. That video was emotional for me for some reason. It was really sad.
Cuco
That one. I have.
Dopas
It was up that.
Cuco
That one. Full credit to Carlo Lopez Estrada. Dude, he's another director. Amazing bro. He's. He's. Yeah, he. He's also an amazing director, and we've worked with him a few times. We did that one. We did under the sun with him as well. And he's. He's just a killer, bro.
Dopas
Yo, I don't even know what you were saying. Watch the whole thing. So you're in it. So it's hard to interpret, like, from the outside because it's you on camera. So it's a little different from the outside perspective. Well, I don't know. You tell me. If what was. Was trying to do. It almost felt like this lady, this chick left and like, that was his whole world. So now he's just basically dead. And it keeps happening over and over. He's get. But you keep.
Cuco
Yeah. And you're just watching them. Yeah.
Dopas
Watching another person's life go by in his life, where his life's supposed to be. Like, is he dead? Is he a ghost? Is his life over? Because now that relationship's over.
Cuco
Yeah. It could be open for interpretation.
Dopas
That's how I felt. I'm like, is this full of ghost? But he keeps getting more plans. So it's just heartbreak every day. And now these fools are having babies and moving in. That was up. It was like. Like, what happens after the. In the Ghost with Patrick Swayze? Like, what happens after.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah, just sad.
Dopas
This moves.
Cuco
Oh, I gotta watch it. Yeah.
Dopas
That's a sad movie. Patrick Swayze is a man. You need to watch it. Whoopi Goldberg's cool. This is the one where Whoopi Goldberg's types, like, sister act. Everything else, it's pretty much just some good. Oh, so sad. I'm all sad. I watched it and it was just. Man, I know it's. You're in it, so it's hard to like. Well, the way I feel about it.
Cuco
Yeah. I love the video though, man. It's. It's so far. I also love working with Carlos as well. He's. He's also just such a sweet Person. Like, I. I just like nice people, man.
Dopas
Right. Don't you want to work with them even if they're not as good as a guy? That's kind of dick. That's how I feel. I do, dude. Maybe that's why. Maybe we don't grow as fast as we should. We work with certain people. But he's so nice. I don't want to tell him he's fired. Like, I feel bad because he's so. You need to get over that. I need to get over it. But it's hard, man.
Marty O'Neal
How long did it take for the Love Letter to LA video to make it happen?
Dopas
She was incredible.
Cuco
We started talking about this probably, bro. My. Honestly, bro. My time. Like, my mental clock is so fried because I've just been. I've just been working and working and working and working. But it's. It's a few months though, last it's been. It was last year when we started talking about that. It was a project we did with. With Microsoft.
Dopas
That's so wild to say.
Marty O'Neal
You mean like their AI?
Cuco
Yeah. So.
Dopas
Oh. It wasn't all hand drawn like that.
Cuco
So the concept of it was how do we make AI kind of a tool without and kind of kill a bit of that stigma that it's like. Oh yeah, it's just. It's super lazy. It's stupid. It's. You know, people have like crazy, horrible opinions over like AI. But we worked with real visual art and real animation. So, you know, we had Pop Flores's art style throughout the whole thing. And. Where's Eddie? Is it Eric Foster? I know it's Foster. I just need to remember his first.
Dopas
Okay. We'll go over like the Spanish subtitles and. But.
Cuco
Yeah, I just. I hate. Because we've. We've worked with. With different animators. I know his last name is Foster. He's a. Also a great guy. But I just. I don't like not remembering.
Dopas
I feel, you know, what their face is like. He's a white dude. He has curly hair and glasses.
Cuco
I was with you.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah. I watched the making of it that you guys put out the bts.
Dopas
He was. I didn't watch.
Marty O'Neal
Awesome. Like, they were talking about how they drew some of it. Then they stitched it together with AI. I'm like, damn.
Dopas
Remind me of the intro to Greece when they're all getting ready in the morning. The way the sidewalks moving. That shit was hard, dude.
Cuco
Wait, let me text my manager. And I was bugging me that I don't. That the name. It's it's bugging me, cuz I'd rather. I wanted to. To be in. Yeah, I got you in this thing.
Dopas
It reminds me of Grease, dude, right there. It looks like John Travolt should be putting grease in his hair with that comb in the intro.
Marty O'Neal
Okay.
Dopas
No, the start like that right there too.
Marty O'Neal
Sick.
Dopas
Sick. And they had the little cholo with the. What was it? The little mask on right at the very beginning.
Cuco
Uhhuh.
Dopas
There's a lot going on.
Marty O'Neal
So many layers to it. And it's got all the little stipple, like, stylings they were talking about. They had so many different artists work on it. Then they were able to just like make it all cohesive with this one style.
Dopas
It's really, really, really cool. Honestly.
Marty O'Neal
This is.
Cuco
Okay, I got it, I got it. Sorry, I just. I just need to get it. So we could cut this into the ready? Sure.
Dopas
Who else was on it?
Cuco
So we use Paul Flores's art and Eric Foster's animation style. And it's all. It's all real, you know, it's real animation, real art. And then Paul Chiller, who's like a. This like AI wizard. He's just like. He's insane.
Marty O'Neal
Were you shocked when you saw that?
Cuco
Yeah, it was crazy, bro. It was nuts. Like, they. They showed me the whole product. They have like a lot of people working on this project. Like, it was. It was X. It. It's. It's being assisted by AI, But I think people are training it.
Marty O'Neal
They.
Dopas
Oh. To. For the art style, they will like.
Marty O'Neal
Draw the first frame, draw the middle frame, draw the last frame, let the AI kind of like get there.
Dopas
Oh, to fill in the blanks type.
Cuco
And they had to run it a lot of times because there was. There was moments where they were able to. To get like a really clean animation without it distorting so much. So then the kids having to retry it and retry it until they got like some clean takes.
Marty O'Neal
How do you think of this?
Dopas
That was the question. Like, is this a drug trip? And you saw it. Because I always think about movies like that. Like, how did you think of this?
Cuco
I've definitely never tripped like this. Like, yeah, rooster. But. But it feels the vi, I think the vibrant colors and like the. The way. The way it kind of like saturates when it's tripping. Is. Is. Is pretty.
Dopas
Yes.
Cuco
So it's familiar, this right here.
Dopas
So I had this really, really the most intense ship I've ever had in my. Oh, the second. The second most intensive I've ever had. Dude. I popped out of my body, saw those exact colors. The red colors right there. The Aztec. I was floating in space and the sundial started turning. This guy right here, that fool's face was on it. Marty found the exact thing like two years later after I told him the story. I don't know what it means, but it was this big thing turning in space. And I looked down, saw my body, and then went and plop. Back in it. And then I was back in my room. But I was tripping. I mean, for hours more I was gone. But I remember that specifically. There, there, there, there, there. That's him. That's it, right there.
Cuco
That's.
Dopas
That's what I saw. That thing right there.
Marty O'Neal
Aztec.
Dopas
Yeah, I saw that thing spinning in front of me like this. Like this. Not like that. It was though. That guy, that thing with that color. Marty, that's exactly. So when you saw. I'm like, is he going up Aztec Steps? This is a trip. Because that. I was like, did you. It's something you experienced and you saw it. So, okay, back to it.
Cuco
My ancestors just calling back at me. It would be crazy, right?
Dopas
No, we had be a bare knuckle fire. You ever see the bare knuckle league? We had the full David Diaz.
Cuco
I've seen it, but I don't know anything about it.
Dopas
Okay. With David Diaz. The Mexican fool that comes with the mustache and dances with the big ass sombrero. That fool. He's the. We had him on the show and he told us about. This was ayahuasca. He had.
Marty O'Neal
No, it's toad venom.
Dopas
Oh, that's right. It was a toad. He did the.
Cuco
It's like. It's like dmt. It's like a type of DMT that's. That comes out of.
Dopas
So he said he had a bad one and then he said he looked down and he started bleeding the colors of. There, there he is. Started bleeding all the colors of the. Of this Aztec. Then he's like, I got feathers coming out of me. And I could see myself when I was walking this big ass, like, creature. He's like. And then I just real. Because he was like, I'mma quit fighting. And. And he's like. And they had this breakthrough. I'm like, I'm a warrior. Never mind. Now he's about to fight again. I'm hyped, dude. He told the most intense drug story ever, dude. But when it comes to that, I'm like, why does it always go back to some weird Aztec? So. Because my grandpa's from the jungle.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
He is from the no cars. He's born like the 20s, 30s. That fool's old as.
Marty O'Neal
So it's just if I drink it it's going to go back to like some.
Dopas
Some white man smacking his wife in a bar with an accident.
Marty O'Neal
Is that how it works?
Cuco
And golf Vikings and.
Dopas
No, Marty's like an Irish white. Like a. Like a. Like a blacksmith.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah, they're just roofing at the pub.
Dopas
Roof.
Marty O'Neal
Like that.
Dopas
They're just roofing. They wear the shoes that have pointy toes. And then Irish or Scottish people invent golf. One of these Men of golf.
Cuco
Oh my. Your pant. Your like jeans are going to turn into like a killed dude.
Marty O'Neal
Exactly.
Dopas
Yeah. There you go.
Cuco
Instead of like you turn into like a war, you just turn into a magpie player.
Dopas
Dude, you got some soft ass roots and that would suck.
Marty O'Neal
Damn it.
Dopas
We're over just turning into creatures. No, that's like in south park where they all get the chimpok or they get the. The weapons and they all do. They turn into the anime characters.
Cuco
They're. Yeah, they. They have. Yeah. The. And. And Kenny throws the star but his eye. Yeah, I've seen bro. I've seen every South Park.
Dopas
Have you?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
So my friends get ready. I won't go too into it, but.
Marty O'Neal
Where is it newest?
Dopas
I just got that on the bottom. I just bought this from 1998 and got it off ebay. It's the boys in class, bro. There's a toy. Oh, you can't see it. Hold on. I just got it. So my. My friends, I won't go too into it but they work for south park, right? So they let me go on a tour of the studio the like recently.
Cuco
You're so lucky, bro. I would. That's so fun.
Dopas
And it plays music. But I broke the button on ignition. It sn. I bought it the other day. It's so cool. Dude, it's from 98.
Cuco
You got the aliens in there too, right? The reading rocks.
Dopas
Isn't it awesome?
Cuco
This is fire.
Dopas
It's so cool, right?
Cuco
This is sick as I just get.
Dopas
So happy about toys man. And like especially south parks. But it's probably the best anime show of all time.
Cuco
You had a cool place to put toys too, bro. My problem is I have a lot of knickknacks but like nowhere to put them, bro. I. I just. I just. I get to a point where I don't know what to do because I love cool. I like being the person that has the cool.
Dopas
I got some Stupid. In my house, man. I have no kids, so I'm like, expendable.
Cuco
But this is cool though, you know, I don't have. I don't.
Dopas
I don't have a place to like. This is my office.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Where I chill and hang out. Yeah, I know what you mean.
Cuco
Yeah. I think. I think it's gonna be time eventually for me to get like, an office space so I can finally have somewhere to put all my cool.
Dopas
Isn't that crazy? As we get older.
Cuco
Studio. That's not in my.
Dopas
In your house.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Yeah, dude. Like, I have too many to. I put them away in a box, man. I had to stop. I go to that place, Frankenstein's. I used to go a lot. That toy store in West Covina.
Cuco
I've never been.
Dopas
Oh, it's like the size of a Costco. And every. Everything is flea market style for real. Inside of a building. There's booths and guys selling stuff. So I. That's where I got the Gremlin. I got a lot of my stuff. I get the 16 super detailed. Like the mask. Stanley Ipkiss. Crazy.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
I stopped though. I got two. It was too much.
Cuco
No, I feel you. I. I have a lot of this artist that goes by obvious plant and I have a lot of his. Dude, what is that? It makes like, fake.
Dopas
Oh, you just me up like fake.
Cuco
Toys that are like, really other stuff.
Dopas
Oh, no.
Cuco
Yeah, bro. Check that out. It's just fire.
Dopas
Like an obvious plant. Like. Oh, that's bro.
Cuco
Yeah, look at this.
Dopas
Oh, yeah, no, no, I got the. I got a. They make the. My sister got me one. It's the. Is it the. The Dwight. There's a. There's an office one. Like a guy makes it online. He makes these by hand, right?
Cuco
Oh, but these. He'll make like runs of. Of.
Dopas
Oh, never. Oh, never mind. It's not the same.
Cuco
He dropped one that was like toy horses and labeled him weird dogs.
Dopas
I like that was. It said Sam Sam's mudge instead of March.
Marty O'Neal
They're like slightly off. All of them.
Cuco
He has a pan.
Dopas
Guess who. Just Susan Edition.
Cuco
Fashion rats is fire.
Dopas
I have Funny man.
Cuco
I have a. I think I have fashion br. I have one. I might have two Fashion skin loosening wipes. I got like two, three of like, there's a. There's. It's like a pen. That's only for curse words.
Dopas
See, that's. That's like. That's Michael Scott.
Cuco
I have. I have a few of the stupidest animal ones too.
Marty O'Neal
Cottage cheese chuggers.
Dopas
Oh, go up. Go up real quick. See the corn dog? Corn dog. Uninserted corn dogs. Add your stick. No, this is like some Jerry. Old meme page with toys. I love it, dude. I just got. Remember the toy soldiers? Little green guys?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
I got like a five foot six version of it.
Cuco
That's fire.
Dopas
And it's so cool, dude. It's.
Cuco
That's so fun.
Dopas
I never knew how much they would make me so happy, man. Yeah, it's scary, though.
Cuco
I'm like that too. With. With. I collect the scale model airplanes too.
Dopas
Oh, dude.
Cuco
But they're like this big. They're like little ones. They're. But they're. They're commercial airliners. I like commercial airliners.
Dopas
Oh, really?
Cuco
Yeah, bro.
Dopas
I got one. But he's like this. I used to use it for weed. I collect a lot of toys, do weed pictures. That's how I started. Like, I'd recreate scenes from movies with my toys and nugs. And we were Google eyes on nugs. And I. I redid the Goodfellas. I redid a lot of scenes from movies. That's how I started doing everything. Yeah, I would sell them packs, the Reservoir Dogs. When they cut his ear off. Marvin Nash's ear, bro. I got strings. I got hempwick from what you smoke weed with. And I tied him to a chair from Hobby Lobby. And then I did. I redid Forrest Gump. When the feather's falling, I got a piece of feather and I found a Greyhound bus. And I put a bench with forest and a suitcase and the shoes. It was so dumb, but I. It makes me so happy. It was Robot Chicken. I was trying to do Robot Chicken. It was. What was my.
Cuco
I love Robot Chicken.
Dopas
Me too. If you're awesome, you love that. If you don't, you're like, it's stupid. Like, but it's not, though. Don't be dumb. It's not stupid. It's actually. It's actually a lot of ideas.
Cuco
A lot of work, too.
Dopas
So much work. During the Super Mario and Luigi, when they run from the cops out mushrooms. And they have a shootout with the cops in the. In the. Robot Chicken. My favorite one.
Marty O'Neal
I showed Cam that. Let's go.
Dopas
Oh, you watch Meat Canyon?
Cuco
Oh, bro. I love meat, bro. You remember the Bucks Bunny one?
Dopas
No, I haven't seen the book.
Cuco
That's like the OG One. I think that really blew up.
Dopas
No, I haven't seen. I saw the. The Toy Story one.
Cuco
Nice. Yeah.
Dopas
Scooby Doo one's gross.
Cuco
He's like, Let me go.
Dopas
Mr. Rabbit's great, dude. I love. I love that because there's so much effort, like, there's so much effort to. To get your niche audience. Not everybody's gonna like this.
Marty O'Neal
I know.
Cuco
I love, like, one of my favorite YouTube.
Dopas
Favorite.
Cuco
Favorite YouTubers.
Marty O'Neal
I gotta watch more of them.
Dopas
It's.
Cuco
Yeah, it's really well done.
Marty O'Neal
Are they all, like, just a minute and a half?
Dopas
Random. No, some. The Disney adults. Yeah.
Cuco
Yeah. He also has a new. Like. I think he has, like, a series that he's working on, too.
Dopas
15 minutes long. The Disney adults, one was gross. The Taylor Swift one was gross. The Costco guys one was fun.
Cuco
Yeah. That one was for Costco.
Dopas
Daddy, he's just slowly dying.
Cuco
The McDonald's one was fried, too.
Dopas
Oh, yeah, I liked. There's. There's a couple ones. I'm like, it's about to get X rated. This is creepy. And that's what makes it so creepy. The spongebob one was creepy.
Cuco
You know what I really like, too? That. That would get dark pretty fast. You ever seen Wise Kids? You know?
Dopas
Yeah, of course. He died.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Died. Fell off a balcony and died.
Cuco
Yeah. True. All right. I mean, regardless, RIP dude, that's. That's a legend, bro.
Dopas
What a show. I don't know.
Cuco
Why does kids, you know, Favorite, bro.
Dopas
Damn. You watched a lot of stuff, dude. What's your three favorite movies? I wasn't even gonna ask.
Cuco
I watched a lot of dumb. Like, bro. Because I don't. I don't actually know a lot about movies, bro. Like, I've never seen Titanic.
Dopas
That's fine. It's three hours of a guy just trying to smash this girl, and then he's like, I'll die.
Cuco
Yeah.
Marty O'Neal
So she kills him.
Dopas
Yeah. Then she kills his ass.
Cuco
But I just. I just haven't seen, like, my. My. All my cousins are just always on my. They're always like, bro, why haven't you seen this movie? Have you seen this? Have you seen.
Dopas
Oh, yeah. You have good cousins stuff. When you ask people, you need to. It'll enrich in your life.
Cuco
Yeah. So I, like. They'll go on a tangent about, like, how they, like, I need to watch a movie and watch it, and I.
Dopas
Just want to watch it out of spite, like. No, you.
Cuco
No. Yeah. That's the thing. That's not even out of the spot. It's just. I just forget, bro. I have, like. Somebody has to force me to sit down and watch a movie.
Dopas
I get you. But growing up, you're bored. You watching?
Cuco
No. Also, I just didn't watch it. I was about playing video games or like, oh, that's different. Yeah, just.
Dopas
Or just gamer. Kids are.
Cuco
I was also. I was also into music real young, bro. So I. I just like to spend time finding music and. YouTube, bro. YouTube. I low key. Hello, key YouTube. That's where. That's where my culture is at. Oh, yeah, I've. I've hear.
Dopas
I'm like, waking up. Chocolate Rain is such a good singer, dog. At like 12 years old and like, oh, he's had a good voice. He did.
Cuco
Yeah. I. I like, actually YouTube is what brought you up. Yeah, that's. That's. That. That was. Those were my movies, bro.
Dopas
So what was your favorite channel, bro?
Cuco
I used to love Smosh, bro. That was my.
Dopas
That's the guys. So I. I was in a picture and like, apparently the Smosh dudes are standing next to me. I don't know who they were. And everybody's like, you didn't say anything. We went to the Spotify party.
Marty O'Neal
Okay.
Dopas
I don't know who that guy is, man. I'm sorry. I'm like, hey, you're.
Cuco
Was it Ian or. Yeah, yeah.
Dopas
No, I don't know.
Cuco
I can't pronounce American name. So, like, eon.
Dopas
What was it? LeBron James, kid. See, I grew up on memes too.
Cuco
But through this, bro, I should post it when I was in high school. Like, what does that mean? Thirteen, 14 years ago, I would have a lot of photos that just had no context. Like, I have.
Dopas
Oh, that's what that means.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
That's just funny sometimes.
Cuco
Yeah, but post back then was even less specific. It was like, less context. Like, they'd be like, bro, I have a folder of, I don't know, God knows how many thousands of. Of like, just random memes and. But this is. Bro, I always tell people and like, nobody. And it's cool if it sounds cocky, but I don't give a. I was on posting mad early, bro. Like, I was actually on posting.
Dopas
Care if it sounds cocky, dog?
Cuco
Bro, I was. I was low key, like, posting these memes and like, I. I have like, my homies in high school be like, bro, you're weird, bro. Like, what the is this?
Dopas
That's great. He does that. He has a whole account for it, bro. It's just like, feet, but it's a hot dog. Like, what the. Yeah, baby's face on a horse.
Cuco
Like, like Santa Claus, like, drinking out of a. You know, the hamster bottles and like, for no reason.
Marty O'Neal
Right?
Cuco
Yeah. Yeah, I would have, bro. Like, so many. And my, my, one of my, my friends who I, who, who was there when I was, I saw the banjo guy. She was like, the same way. So we would just. That was like my only friend I would share these photos with. And like, it was just funny as. Because it was like, bro, you're like the only other person I know because we're both dumb. Dumb as like in high school. We're just like, getting faded and like, sending dumb ass memes.
Dopas
Bro, you should do more podcasts, man. You know how many more people just went, I like this guy. That's me. You just, you just went for like 30 of the audience and went, yeah.
Cuco
That'S like OG YouTube. Like, that was my bro. Like, I, I, I was really raised on it. Yeah, bro, that's awesome, dude.
Dopas
No, like, when we, we walk around when he was younger, when he was a kid, he loved Logan Paul when he was a little ass kid. When Logan Paul was still like, cool as a little kid. Like, yeah, we're gonna do vlogs. You know, you're a little boy. That's pg. And the day he moved out, he's like, you could take him by his apartment. And we stood outside of this fool's apartment, and then hella fans were there because he used to like, shoot on a string across this, across the apartment or something. And we waited there. We saw all these fools and they had like a bus full of vans. It was a weird day, but I realized, like, oh, YouTube. That's when I just started doing YouTube.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
So I didn't really know, like, oh, YouTubers are popular as hell. I just watched how to Basic a lot.
Cuco
How to Basic is my too. I love how to Basic.
Dopas
So for explanation, Marty, have you ever had a fever dream?
Marty O'Neal
Yes.
Dopas
Mixed with a chef's tutorial that sound too basic. I love that guy. And there was another one where the guy would just like, end up in the forest and he would say, salt, salt.
Cuco
Salt.
Dopas
Pepper, Pepper, pepper. What was that guy? He would like, make disgusting food. It was like watching a Pink Guy music video. Like, Joji, it was.
Cuco
Oh, yeah. Pain guy was also crazy.
Dopas
So I didn't know. I just love Jojo's music. And I showed him Anything goes. That guy looks familiar. Like, like, his name's Pink Guy.
Cuco
Frank, bro. That's guilty Frank.
Dopas
I go, who's that? And he showed it and go, this is. I get why there's millions of views.
Cuco
You know, it's funny. I don't know why I found, I found. And it's A homie now. Rich Brian.
Dopas
I remember Rich.
Cuco
But even before he put music out, I just loved his videos. I thought he was funny, bro. I never saw his fried out, but he was fried out and he started putting music out. But I, I found this fool's YouTube like just when he was just posting memes, bro. He was. He's funny as dude. Like he's all like, he's insanely talented and insanely funny.
Dopas
That's a great combination.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Somebody I want to hang out with.
Cuco
Yeah, he's a. He's the guy, bro. He's a guy. But yeah, that was, bro. That's that whole phase of my life. Yeah, bro. Well, I was gonna say there was something else too. There's like a million things, bro. It's just funny, bro. I have, I have this, this. My brain has a lot of deep cuts that like nobody.
Dopas
Oh. If you say one single syllable something like, you mean the meme from 2014. I grew up on movies. He grew up on the Internet. That's my bro. He's 415 years younger than me. So we have a gap.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
So I'll learn about through him. Like animes and stuff. I don't watch animes, man. Cuz when I was a kid, animes, like you're weird. Like, all right, I guess I'll stop working.
Cuco
I was like, right on. I. I think I was on a bit of the cusp because yeah, you're on that verge of anime. Anime was like kind of getting cool when I was in high school, but it was still like, you're kind of weird if you like anime.
Dopas
But everybody was weird when I was a kid.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Well, I mean I watched, I liked it.
Cuco
Yeah. I loved animation when I was like in high school. So I liked all that. I liked. But I did like the movies I liked were always comedy movies. Like Wilfred's one of my favorite actors.
Dopas
Oh yeah. Let's run it.
Cuco
John C. Reilly, bro. That fool is funny as.
Dopas
Come on, man. You know, it's weird seeing John C. Reilly in non funny movies when he's young. You ever seen Boogie Nights?
Cuco
No.
Dopas
It's like a movie about porn actors. It's John C. Reilly all skinny and young. He's an act born actor. And it's just weird because he dresses like himself and step brothers. He's got like skinny jeans, Converse, little shirt. He's dressed the same and just. He's just gotten older. I. I was, I wasn't smoking. I was, I was. Anyway, I wasn't driving. I was driving. I messed up my words. I was in downtown. I'm like, why is everybody dressed like it's 1925, all these people, top hats? I'm like, what the. I'm like, dude, what did I smoke, dude? And I'm like, oh, production. There's a movie, and I see this guy just messing with his hat. Turns around right next to my guy's John C. Reilly in a top hat, and he's like doing this thing with a cane. Like, I wish I was one of the. I wish I could stop. I love you so much, man, but there's traffic.
Cuco
I have too much pride for that. If I ever see somebody in public.
Dopas
Unless I really give a, Unless I care so much what I do is. It is thanks for the less appreciate you. And I walk off. I say that all when I see a lot of celebrities. Hey, if I care anybody from the office, I will stop.
Cuco
My pride is, is out of embarrassment.
Dopas
That's what it is.
Cuco
I'm embarrassing. Like, I, I will see somebody. I'll be like, damn, that's, that's cool as.
Dopas
Yeah, but thing is, you got to think of this. And that's why we always talk about it. Like, when fans come up, like, I'm sure, like, you have fans come up to you, do you say hi and take pictures?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Thank you.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Because if not, then you wouldn't have a career. And that's what people don't understand. Like, be nice, dude. Like, they your fans.
Cuco
Yeah. I'm always gonna say, what's up?
Dopas
Yeah. So when I say it, like, when we think of this way, when people come up and say hi to us, they have to like you. They have to be get over that embarrassing thing that we all have and.
Cuco
Then go, yeah, I'll take a picture. It's a lot. It's not easy, bro. Like, I, Yeah, I, I had, I think one of the few times, one of the first times I asked somebody for a photo. I was in high school, I would, I would do a lot of by myself. So one day I told my mom, I was like, yo, can you just drop me off at this concert?
Dopas
Oh, your solo concerts. Are you taking tabs and.
Cuco
Nah, this one wasn't. I wasn't on drugs and I was like, just sober. I just really wanted.
Dopas
You go on adventures, dude.
Cuco
Bro, I'm, I, I, I do road trips by myself. I do a lot of. Yeah, I love doing a lot of things.
Dopas
That's awesome. Yeah, I used to do that too.
Cuco
And it's funny because I, I hate, like, I'm I don't hate talking to people. I'm bad at talking to people. I'm bad at doing things. But, like, I'm very. I'm. I have like, severe anxiety, but I don't know why. Doing things. Dolo is always like, is my. I have no problem doing like that.
Dopas
You want to know why? Because I think the same thing. When I'm by myself and me and my wife were best friend. Like, she would meet constantly. Because it's my best friend. Even she wasn't my wife, she's my best friend. I'm by myself. It's almost like I don't have to worry about another person. Like someone's safety.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
It's just me. If I want to run into an alley and some guy pulls a knife, I'm going to sprint. I don't give a. I'm gonna get away. Or I might fight him. But if I'm with my wife, I'm like, this is a situation. Also something. My bad might happen. And it's like the freedom of going. If I crash, hopefully I'm okay, You know, get out of the car. It's different when you're by yourself because you don't have to worry about another thing. It's like a zombie movie. Like, if I don't have a kid, I think zombies aren't that bad. I'll just stay up high.
Cuco
But you know what I mean?
Dopas
It's different because I go through that too. When I'm driving to the warehouse by myself, I'm like, that's the only time in my life I'm not with somebody.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Like, whoa. I forgot about a lot of things.
Cuco
Yeah. I also like not. I don't like being on other people's itineraries too, bro. Like, I just. I like to wake up and if it's like, if I wake up at 6am and I want to go get a coffee, then I could go do that. I don't got to worry about nobody. And then. But also, like, if I want to wake up at 12 and just off for the day and not do like, I don't. I don't owe that to anybody but myself. Like, so anytime I'm on, I'm on vacation or doing anything, it's just like from Dolo, I am entirely. I'm in charge of my own schedule. So it's cool. I like it a lot. It's honestly something that you needed every couple.
Dopas
I mean, for me, it's just like every time we do filming, but I think everybody needs it because you don't think about, like when you're in high school, like when I was just driving sacks and delivering pizza by myself. Like, damn, I'm almost by myself. It's odd. And now I'm never by myself. So when you are, you're like, right. It's weird. Especially when you're an adult and you're like, I can go to Dragon Box if I want. All right, I'm leaving.
Cuco
I can eat ice cream for breakfast.
Dopas
Yo. I've done that before. It's not great.
Cuco
It's not the coolest feel like, you know what. You know what's fire? I don't. I don't. I don't kill a whole bottle, but I'll drink a. A Coke. You ever just wake up and like, drink like a Coca Cola? Yes. But it's like cold right out the fridge run. It's got that little, like, fizzy. Those fizzy spice.
Dopas
Oh, you mean that you got to flex it out to make sure you can just get through it. Yeah. My whole body shook. I'm trying to chug a soda. I don't drink soda no more, cuz I'm addicted. Bad.
Cuco
Yeah, I'm bad.
Dopas
I'm bad.
Cuco
That's me with coffee, bro. I'm. I drink like five, six coffees a day, dude.
Dopas
That's okay. That's. I mean, I think like, coffee is like from the ground and like soda just.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah, some.
Dopas
The. What does it say? The. The Mexican kryptonite, diabetes. And soda and bread. Shitty Mexican and shitty Asian food. For some reason.
Cuco
I love that syrupy ass chicken. I'm like that. If I have. If I have my man made vice, it's got to be cigarettes, bro.
Dopas
You smoke cigs.
Cuco
I don't do it all the time anymore. Like, I can help you with that. It's like you said. What?
Dopas
I can help you stop. I used to smoke a pack or two a day.
Cuco
Well, so I. I would. I would do that and then I would take off months. Like, I would quit for like, months and then. But then I'd be like in Europe or some and not pick it up. But what I do now is like, I limit myself to like 1 or 2, 6 during the weekend and has to be like, in a social setting.
Dopas
Okay, that's a. That's a huge step.
Cuco
Yeah, because that way. Yeah, because that way it's like, I can still treat myself with that, but I'm not. Because I. I like to exercise a lot too. Like, I like working out.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah.
Cuco
And. But I hate feeling like I'm dying because my lungs are just like six.
Dopas
It's a sick, but European shit's a little different too.
Cuco
Yeah, well, I mean, I'll still go buy a pack, but I like, I need that tar. I need that rat poison in my city. Camel Classics 27 Marlboros. I like reds too. A lot.
Dopas
Oh, man, you're an older Mexican dude. That's what my grandpa smoked. And then he went to the lights because they were better for you. Oh, those tastes like. I used to steal like one or two when you go to sleep and go, I'm helping his health. I'm not stealing. Prolonging his life.
Cuco
Yeah, I had my first sick when I was like 14. I was like, this is amazing.
Dopas
Oh, really? Yeah, I've tried one.
Cuco
That's a crazy thing that your grandpa was like, this is better for you.
Dopas
Yeah, he's like, they're light. They're light. And you know, smoking lights.
Marty O'Neal
But he feeling all.
Dopas
My grandpa died of lung because of it. So it's like, yeah, you're going like two packs a day, man. You're tripping.
Cuco
That's a lot.
Dopas
Oh, that's a lot. I was too. I was smoking Camel Non filters and Camel Wise.
Cuco
Remember those cowboy killers?
Dopas
Yeah. You smoke six? Yeah. I have a shirt that says, smoke them if you got them from my grandpa's. That cowboy one. Is the cowboy smoking a joint? That marble looking shirt is smoking.
Cuco
I mean, bro. Was it Camel Joe? Is that his name?
Dopas
Yeah, Camel Joe.
Cuco
You look cool as dude with the.
Dopas
When he's hitting the pool thing. My grandpa had those cigarette marble. He smoked marbles. He had the. The points. You have the jacket, the phone. Remember? If you care. If you.
Cuco
That's. Yeah, bro, that's. I mean, I mean, it's sad, but that's like. I saw, like, it's cool. Cigarette merch was tight.
Dopas
Oh, if you got it, you have a dead family member for sure. Like, if you got a marble jacket, like, my grandpa died for this.
Marty O'Neal
That's real.
Dopas
It is.
Cuco
But that's so think about it.
Dopas
Like, don't worry. We only need to make 16 of these. No one's gonna live to get.
Marty O'Neal
It's gonna be worth a lot. It's gonna be worth going for. Were you saying, like, your vans, they go.
Cuco
They go for a lot too, bro.
Dopas
Like, they're so expensive. The marble lettermans. I've seen a thousand bucks. Those vintage guys. You ever been to the vin? I'm sure you have. You travel. Don't they all just smell like an older man Every time it smells like my grandpa's room. When I go to vintage shirt shops, I'm like, 400 bucks for a shirt that some guy slept in. Oh, no, man.
Cuco
I love vintage stores. But, yeah, they do be taxed.
Dopas
They tax so hard. Like, well, it's. Where's my grandpa's? He died in it. Like, it's a Deadhead shirt. Like, I'll give you 350 for it. They're good, dude. They know how to play really well at these places.
Cuco
Yeah. I found one of the coolest fonts you ever heard of the Residents. That's super weird band. Weird as. But, like, I don't know how. How long they've been around. I've known. I know maybe two people that. In my circle, like, that I've met of my friends that know who the Residents are. It's like a weird band. Yeah. I was at a vintage shop one day in Miami and found a Resident shirt. And I was like. I was like, wow, this is crazy. Like, that was. I. I paid. I paid a few. A few. A few hundred for that. Because I was like, this is fire.
Dopas
If there's something that's that exclusive, like, they made six of these. Yeah.
Cuco
Yeah. I don't know how exclusive it was, but it's definitely like. It was. It was a crazy fine. It was. I was like, holy. That's a piece right there.
Dopas
I feel that if it's like, iconic. Like, I went to the CBGB and New York, that punk store. You ever heard of that? It's like, where they used to do all the punk shows in this. In the. In New York in the 70s and 80s. My mom's into all that. So we went to the store and they had like, all the flyers from, like, the Clash. All the band's gonna be here. And they're all stapled. They plastered over it, lacquered over it. So all of it's in the walls forever. And they show like. So I bought her like, a autograph. Something from the front of the store from a picture. That's the only that I'm like, I'm gonna get taxed, but I get it.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
It's like, oh, there's. This is old.
Cuco
It's like history. Yeah, it's historical.
Dopas
Exactly. Like, there's only one of these pictures.
Cuco
There's a guy I hear, you know, I serve varsity out here.
Dopas
No. I don't know.
Cuco
It's on. It's so funny because my. My gym is on this Melrose. It's on Melrose. I was just Trying to, like, confirm in my head if it was Melrose. But it's a store called Varsity, and it's like a vintage shop, but in the back there's a section where it's just all metal tees. And I spoke to the guy that runs it, too, and, like, he's sick. And I just. I just love it because we'll talk about metal and it's like, this guy knows what's up. Like, he knows what's up with, like, the metal. Because I'm a big metal head, bro.
Dopas
Oh, really? Is that why, you know Ratchet supposed to walk into Tasmania? Devil. Yeah, it's like in Space Jam. That's Regimen.
Cuco
But yeah. Yeah. So, you know, we chopped it up and I copped some cool little, Little, little pieces out there and. But yeah, I like. I like when you go somewhere and it feels knowledgeable.
Dopas
It's like going to old cards or old comic stores with, like, the comic book store guy from the Simpsons. Yeah, it's like when people used to be like that and now it's like, yeah, I work here and Coldstone and Subway. Like, ah, you don't know about stuff. Yeah, no, I get that.
Cuco
And also. Yeah, that's. I like. I like also talking to people about watches.
Dopas
Yeah. Into watches. Yeah, I just got into them, dude.
Cuco
Really?
Dopas
Last night I took this video. Can I show you real quick? It's really fun. Dude, I got this thing that holds your watches. I didn't.
Cuco
Does it spin? It keeps them wound or so.
Dopas
It's okay. Real quick. This is a PS1 watch. It's a PS1. And you click it, it opens, it shows the time. Oh, it's just incredible. That's cool as it's my first watch ever. Space Jam.
Cuco
Okay. Yeah, I see what you mean. That's okay.
Dopas
But watch, watch, watch. When you get back into it.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, yeah, it's there.
Dopas
They're constantly spinning. And there's a light in it. Yeah, it's in my room.
Marty O'Neal
It's like a box.
Dopas
It's a box that spins your watches, but it has light.
Cuco
You know that chronograph AP is fire.
Dopas
I just got it, dude.
Cuco
That thing is.
Dopas
Oh, yeah. You know about watches. Okay. Yeah, I just got it a couple weeks ago, actually.
Cuco
Yeah, love.
Dopas
So I. There's one. I can't do it to myself. And it's scary as I'm never gonna be one. One day one. We'll see. I said I'll never be able to do it, but they'll snock on wood. My favorite Watch of all time. This, my friend, he. He's a watch seller. And I just. Every day. You know those pack plugs they show nug with the packs behind it over and over on Snapchat? They're trying to sell you weed.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, Remember that?
Dopas
It's like, he's like that with the watch. He's like, hey, man, I got.
Cuco
Yeah, watch dealers are. They put that smart. Yes, they're smart.
Dopas
They put the.05 on and get close. Like, oh, my God.
Cuco
Especially once they know you.
Dopas
Oh, they know what's up. Oh, dog. You ever want to trade that in, just let me know. I got this. You just pay a little more. Like, oh, you bastard.
Cuco
Yeah, no, they'll show you the watch that. That, like, they know you're going to, like, love.
Dopas
Yeah, he knows. Which one My. My favorite watch of all time is the. Well, actually, no, I'll take it back. There's the. The open face. It's the skeleton. Frosted white, frosted ap.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, that's it.
Dopas
Oh, my God. I love it so much. It's so nice, but it's so damn expensive.
Cuco
Any AP skeleton is really fire.
Dopas
I love the.
Cuco
I love the black ceramic ones.
Dopas
That's the one John sold.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah.
Dopas
My homie had it and he sold it and he put it on his house. I'm like, how much was your watch? I didn't realize how much those watches go for. Yeah, it's disgusting. It's like driving a Lambo.
Cuco
Also, like, was it like the. The. The rainbow AP too? That thing is.
Dopas
That's my. I would say now my new one is.
Cuco
Is that that thing?
Dopas
Yeah, you know, timepiece trading in Miami. The dudes that, like, all the YouTubers go to Miami.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Dopas
So I went there and he had that. He got it that morning. It was the rainbow gold frosted open face AP with the diamond baguettes. In person, it's like, do you remember when Apu was like, he takes it and it's like, yo, you can't do that. That's how I felt. Like, I want to take it so bad. It's like, humans are just attracted to Chinese. Chinese. Because I saw and went, I'll sell everything. I have to get that. But I know I'm just not stupid.
Cuco
Especially when, you know, like, what's up with, like, the watches? Like, it's. It's a whole.
Dopas
I'm learning now. See, you knew that. You knew the. The name with the chronograph. Like, you knew what it was. I just. So I Got rid of my royal oak for it. I'm like, I had a roller for a long time, Just a black face, you know, regular one. I loved it, and I traded it for that. I paid more. And then I don't know about what I'm starting to learn, but my homies are. They fly to Miami. Like, I'm gonna check out this watch and see if it's a good deal. I'm like, all right, just FaceTime. Like, I want to see it in person.
Cuco
Nice. It's like that, bro.
Dopas
What is that? I see the square, and I was like, I don't know what this is.
Cuco
This is. This is an ap. Actually, wait. It's a royal oak, but it's from, like.
Dopas
This is an older one.
Cuco
Yeah, it's older one. Yeah.
Dopas
You're into watches by year, not necessarily by ear.
Cuco
I saw this. My. My friend. My friend Marvin. He. He's like a. Like, he's like a jeweler, and he's. He's a jeweler. He. He makes jewelry, and he sells, like, vintage jewelry. So I got. I got this ring from him, and I got this watch from him.
Dopas
Damn. Because I saw the square. I'm like, that's not a Patek.
Cuco
No.
Dopas
When you walked in, like, oh, that's cool. Oh, that's too small. That's not a Patek.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
I never seen the ap. That. That shape.
Cuco
Yeah, I mean, it's. It is a women's watch. I'm not gonna lie to you.
Dopas
Oh, that's why. That's why the shape. I'm like, no, that's too flat.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Okay. That's why.
Cuco
Yeah, I just saw. I like such cool, dude. Yeah.
Dopas
My wife has the watch I've always wanted.
Cuco
They have sick watches, bro. Super fire watches.
Dopas
They're so cheap. It's like buying baby Jordans.
Marty O'Neal
Oh, I never thought about.
Dopas
Compared to Jordans. No. They're. The watch I want is four times as much, and she has the watch I've always wanted.
Cuco
Yeah. I couldn't.
Dopas
I'm like, I can't afford that for myself. I'll buy it for you. It was a quarter of the price.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Oh, man, I wish I was just smaller. I guess I need to lose weight or. Yeah, baby.
Cuco
My. It's funny because I like. I like small watches on my wrist because I do have pretty small wrists, but also, like, a big watch still looks cool. Like, I have a. Like a Daytona from 03, and. And it's. It looks tight, like, on my wrist, but it's. It's. I think that 40, 41 is probably the. The.
Dopas
Do they make 42?
Cuco
I don't know. I think. But I think just in general, any watch that might be like the. The largest for my wrist, I would.
Dopas
Go, oh, for you? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Cuco
Imagine me with like a yacht master. Dude.
Dopas
I saw some guy the other day. We're what we were. I can't remember where I was Mexican. Like, he was a Dominican ass fool. Because I was like, are you black? You Mexican by you Dominican? Has to be, because I don't know. And the man had like, oh, we're in Mexico. The man had this like, it was like, flavor watch. And I'm looking, I'm like, dude, you could sit a water bottle on it and it would frustrate your phone on that. No lie. It was like a bent hand watch, dude. I swear to God, like, wow, that's a big dude. And it didn't even look weird on him. Like, you're that big. You were a. A T plate on his. I swear to God. Yeah, I'm just getting into him, dude. Like, I'm starting to, like, learn. And like, I took that video last night, Woke up this morning in the theater spinning.
Cuco
Bro, it's because when you get into the watches, bro, it's. It sucks you in. Bro. It sucks you in. Like, it's not. It's. It's like a. Once you're in that hole, you're like.
Dopas
Oh, it's like a different. It's like when I found toys, like when I discovered, like, I can buy these toys.
Marty O'Neal
Are you into, like, flipping them, like, tracking the values and everything?
Cuco
No, I like, I like to have watches. Honestly, if. If I. If I got into it, I'd. I would probably, like, shift careers. Yeah, it's like, it's like that, like, I'm. It's because. Because it's. It's. It's two things, I think. I think it does consume that much time, but I'm also like, if I. If I really like something, I'm gonna get deep, deep, deep, deep, deep into it. And I don't know if getting in a watch is that deep is a smart idea for me.
Dopas
About three weeks ago, I was like, I'm gonna chill. I don't want to look at it.
Cuco
But anymore.
Dopas
Yeah, because I'm like, what am I doing? I got this one. I just got this one. So I can, like, if I. Oh, yeah. If I get rod on my. Like, I lost a house, you know, I mean, I want to be able to, like, wear a watch if I Get a boxing match. I'm like, all right, I don't have to worry. Like, it's badass, dude. I. I love them. It's just like having a. It's. Remember LA gears, the light up shoes, the light up lights in the back. That's how I feel with them. Like, they're so shiny. I'm love this. I think I'm just. I'm pretty sure I haven't matured and I have add.
Marty O'Neal
But they're an investment too though. That makes them.
Dopas
Not that too. I mean, watches are that too.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
On the actual adult side. Yeah. Yeah. That's the only reason why I would get them. But they're fun, dude. I had my space.
Cuco
If you get the right watch too, it's an investment. Cuz sometimes you'll get another watch. It's just like. Well depreciate.
Dopas
Like I've seen some go up like crazy though. Like John's my homie. He had this wild AP and he. He flipped it like almost two and a half times what it was.
Cuco
Yeah. All right, the aps. Also the. What's it, The Daytonas, bro. Those things are classic. Yeah, but what's it. The John Mayer.
Marty O'Neal
Oh, he did so expensive.
Dopas
The job. Mayor ap. Is that what you're talking about?
Cuco
No, the John Mayer, the Daytona.
Dopas
I thought he had the ap.
Cuco
So it's not, it's not his. Yeah, but it's not.
Dopas
Oh, it was a Rolex. It was.
Cuco
It's a Rolex. No, because I mean, I don't know if he.
Dopas
I haven't seen. Saw the ad saying like Cummings and it was blue and it had like.
Cuco
Yeah, probably. I mean AP. AP's been doing collabs, but. But there, There's a role. It's not, it's not a collab with John Mayer. It just. They call it the John Mayer because he popularized the A watch because he was talking about it. I think it was like Hodinkee, like, you know, the watch channel. So it's a. It's a watch channel where they do like. I think it's called like Talking Watches. Literally. But yeah, don't quote me if I'm wrong, but it's. It's the, it's a series where they just talk with a bunch of artists about watches and, and they show off their collections. And John Mayer is a like nasty ass collector, bro. He has like two videos by himself and he has one with S Sharing.
Dopas
Damn, that feels hella tall. And got man watches. He has. He's definitely like, he's definitely Hyped as hell. When he goes to sleep, damn, my feet are hanging off the bed.
Cuco
He's like, this is a nice.
Dopas
Yeah, exactly. Blinded me, yo. Some of these fools are like that full. TJ Khaled goes so hard. I see some of these guys now that I know about the watches, and I see them go, oh, I didn't know. Like, I didn't know what Richard Mills were.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, Richard Mills.
Dopas
I didn't know those playful ass watches were so expensive.
Cuco
Yeah, it's od expensive.
Dopas
The guy on the plate next to me, he was with that full SAS walker. When I saw him, right? I saw him together, and I'm like, who's this homie? Some white. White full. Like a Goldberg from wwf. My dad feels wild looking. I look down and go, well, that's a cool watch. And like, oh, it's a rich. Oh, my God. I didn't realize their houses, the super colorful ones. Yeah, they're still like the Kuji of watches.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dopas
But oh, my God, they're so fun.
Cuco
Who's a Spanish tennis player? The really big one, Nadal. What's his first name?
Dopas
You're asking the wrong. Ask him. He knows more Spanish than I do at this point. Damn it.
Cuco
But yeah, he has, like, his own watch for, like, Richard Mill. And like, that is also, like, stupid expensive, bro.
Dopas
I've seen some. Some are so fun. I was gonna go to Jacob and company to go film a vlog, my homie's friend with them, and they go, okay, yeah, you can come in and film, but he has to spend at least 30 and go, you want me to. I'm gonna watch the YouTube videos as people that have already done this. I don't need my own YouTube video there. But they were gonna let me in and go film. I was like, oh, it's so cool.
Cuco
They have spent 30.
Dopas
They wanted me to spend 30 bands to be able to use the time in the store.
Marty O'Neal
I'm like, can I return this?
Cuco
Right, right, bro, Go spend. Go spend 30 at Rolex and just start building credits so you could just.
Dopas
Go so mean with that, dude. They're like the cool kids club with that. But, oh, you spent money. Come back in a month. Oh, dude, that's how I feel.
Cuco
You got to spend bread so that. So that they can. They can. They even. So they might even consider giving you access to. To get a Daytona or Submariner or some like that.
Dopas
Wild.
Cuco
I mean, it's the same thing.
Dopas
It's.
Cuco
I mean, it's the same thing with AP and yeah, that's how.
Dopas
Like, crazy is. Like, I been in this store.
Cuco
Yeah, but you're not gonna walk out with a. With a oak.
Dopas
Like, isn't that crazy?
Cuco
You probably walk out with, like, an offshore or some, but. Oh, man.
Dopas
Yeah. You're over here speaking a different language to me right now. I need to start learning more. Offshore. We just said offshore. Like, ah, see, my homies, they are like this bezel, the rgb. That's what my other rbg. Rg. Rgb. Bezel. Is that what it's called?
Cuco
I don't know about that one.
Dopas
Rolex. The bezel thing. A circle. Yeah, circle around it, you know?
Cuco
Yeah, I know. Yeah, but I know what the RGB is.
Dopas
Okay, well, they know all the. Is that the something something? I'm like, dude, they know that it's serial. Like, when I watch those fools on Tick Tock. Oh, give it to me. 500 flip. Like, you middle Eastern fools are tight as hell. Some of those fools are sick, dude.
Cuco
The. You ever seen the Pride and Pinion Channel?
Dopas
Is that the guy that wears the beanie?
Cuco
Nah, he's a. It's this dude from. I think. I think he's Irish, but. Yeah, but his name is Nico. Nico Van. Van something.
Dopas
Yeah, yeah, it's the guy from. He's in New York though, right?
Cuco
No, he's.
Dopas
Oh, that guy's name's Nico, too. That's crazy.
Cuco
Yeah, no, but this fool. This was funny dude. Like, his. He has a cool watch channel. He just talks about watches, like, all the time. And I just don't know how to say his last name because it's crazy.
Dopas
Crazy as hell. I like watching. They're like, watching. You're seeing that Uncut Gems movie with Adam Sandler.
Cuco
Yeah, bro. Yeah.
Dopas
That's how these tick tocks are. I feel like, make the sale, man. Just sell it.
Cuco
I mean, they had a real jeweler. They have full. That full tracks.
Dopas
Yeah, he was there. Yeah, that's what you see him in New York. Almost got. He got ran out of that neighborhood for doing the gold giveaway challenge he's trying to give people. I need like, good idea with that. And this game banger fort runs him off. Get out right now. Take all that with you. 40 bands right there.
Marty O'Neal
He's trolling 50 something with that, though.
Dopas
I thought I have. You know what, dude? What'd you watch on World Star? Marty, What'd you see on World Star this morning? Because I don't know.
Cuco
I don't know.
Dopas
Okay, so, yeah, to watch this, I'm I don't know. I don't know, but I know this is crazy, but it was, like, 35 minutes ago. Yeah, I got to go to South Park Studios. I got to go, right? So as I'm walking through. Because you've seen every episode, right? You're a fan.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
I'm walking through, and the first thing I see is the storyboards where they're drawing everything, right?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
And the guys, like, I went with somebody, like I said, somebody that works there. And there's, like, two other people with me, and he's looking at us, and me and my homie Jebus are fans, dude. Like, I'm. I'm. I love south park so damn much. I love it, dude. Anyway, I brought him with me. He was in town from my hometown. I'm like, guess where we're going. I'm like, blew his mind. So we pull up, and we get there, and the first thing I see is the. Is the storyboards, and the guy's looking at us like, you ever seen the sandlot?
Cuco
Yeah. Oh, yeah, of course. Yeah.
Dopas
Throw that away, man. Here's a new one. He's like, all right, kids, you can take. Take one.
Cuco
No, take a story.
Dopas
He let me take one. One. I framed it. It's above my computer every day. Oh, I'll show you. I have a video of it. I lost my mind. So he were going through. And then he starts taking us, like, on the history, and we. We're going into the. I wasn't filming, but he let us in the writing room. And the last episode is still up with. They were writing all the ideas, and it's the one that. It was the epidemic, the weight loss. OIC 1. The end of obesity. That's what it was called. And I see all this up, and, like, you could see we're like, all right, change this. Cross that out. This character now, like, oh, that's why that fool's in there. Oh, it's so weird seeing that. Oh, yeah.
Cuco
I love that Bill Hader was the one that wrote the.
Dopas
I can't believe that. I didn't know until I saw the clips about it. Is that Bill Hader in there? It went fur. I love that guy. Oh, it's crazy. Crazy.
Cuco
Because, like, don't you mean Stevie Ray v. Stevie?
Dopas
The thing is, I love it because I think why we relate so hard. Like, I'd be in that room on the floor dying, bro. I have a video of me in that room on the. On that podium. I was like, just take a. Just take a Picture of me standing. That's because one of my friends just got to do a voice on there on the. On the Ozempic one. And my. This is. It's like being gta, bro.
Cuco
That's my dream is to do voice acting, bro. Yeah, yeah. I don't. I don't know how. How I'm gonna get there, but I know I'm get there. One day it'll happen.
Dopas
It'll happen. And it's gonna be some. You know what's gonna happen? I'm gonna call it now and I like to call things. It's gonna be with Pixar and you're gonna get a bag off of it for some reason. Watch. He's gonna be like a character that kids come up to. Like, are you so and so. You're gonna be like, yeah, like Mr. Kra. Like, by the way, thanks for the 12 million dollar three picture.
Cuco
Who's.
Marty O'Neal
Who was Coco, right?
Dopas
Coco.
Marty O'Neal
Oh, the movie.
Dopas
What a movie, bro. I just watched it. I've never seen. I just watched it on Christmas with my nephew.
Cuco
You cry.
Dopas
It was so good. No, I didn't cry.
Cuco
I cried.
Dopas
It was so good.
Marty O'Neal
My daughter cried for damn sure.
Dopas
Yeah, yeah. She looks. She's so emotional.
Cuco
They announced Coco too.
Dopas
I think we had a artist on here, Spanish artist recently, Alex Legato. I don't know. It's a Legatio Legato set there something is the Lotto 7 is the brand. They're like a. He's like a classic Spanish fool. He's wild. He's from a. He said the name of the town. I'm like, like, coco, the music is in the name of the town. He's like, everybody from there is a musician. It's like, oh, that's cool. It's a known artist. It's like everybody's an artist. They do this somebody famous guy from this town. I'm like, are you like Coco? He's like, exactly like. Like, this is real. Where the. Where the is is. Was. Is spongebob at where I want to just find it. If I can go to anywhere. Dude, if you can flip into any cartoon right now and live there as like, I'm part of this. What would it be? Has to be animated. It doesn't have to be like South Park.
Cuco
Some Futurama.
Dopas
Oh, my God. For real?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Would you be on the ship or just in the planet? It's part of the crew.
Cuco
Yeah, probably part of the crew, bro.
Dopas
Okay. You know what's crazy is Futurama. A lot of guests say It. It's one of the least shows I've watched. Like, I've watched. I've watched seasons, but I've never binge watched that. I. I guess I watched a lot, bro.
Cuco
Futurama is honestly, like.
Dopas
It's great.
Cuco
It's one of the best shows ever, bro.
Dopas
Sad intro. Just living pizza, man. Yeah, that's what I was doing. I was like, oh, I would be so sad if I got stuck for you. What a weird concept for a show.
Cuco
Yeah, dude, it's not. It's nice. I. I love. I loved it, bro. I. Futurama is one of my favorite episodes. My south parking Futurama, my two comfort shows. Oh, and one punch, man.
Dopas
What's that?
Marty O'Neal
This is Rocco's whole playlist.
Dopas
I never. I never even heard of it.
Cuco
It's a. It's a. It's a. Essentially just a bald guy that's really strong and nobody could beat him. He's a superhero.
Dopas
Dana White.
Cuco
I have. I have sides of my. Ted on my. On my leg, bro.
Dopas
You have what?
Cuco
I have Saitama on my leg.
Dopas
Oh, see? See this fool?
Cuco
He.
Dopas
You're. This is you. He's like, I want to get the chainsaw, man. Pull string on my chest. That's the only tattoo he wants.
Cuco
It's not a tattoo. It's a temporary one.
Dopas
Oh, what the.
Cuco
Dude.
Dopas
Two days ago. Oh, my. Dude, you tell me you gotta tattoo.
Cuco
It'll be there for like two months, just so I can see if I.
Dopas
Want to get it.
Cuco
Yeah.
Marty O'Neal
Huh.
Cuco
That's cool.
Dopas
Hi, I'm a nerd. My name is Rocco. Yo, that was like. I was like a. Like, when your child's like, you got a pissing, like, bro, I would have went with your ass. What the. You live right next to me, yo. I didn't expect you to do that right now. I didn't. I thought you really tattooed that on your chest. And at first I was like, dog, it's got to be. It's. It's got to be more detailed than that. It's not centered. I'm like, rocco, no way. It's not centered. Okay. Damn. Sorry, dude. That was a real emotion. I was like, no way, dude. Like, mom was here this morning. You didn't tell her? What the. All right, sorry.
Cuco
Are you ready? Are you ready to get tatted on your chest?
Dopas
I think so.
Cuco
I like it.
Dopas
I'm scared.
Marty O'Neal
Are you asking him? Because you know how painful it is.
Cuco
Yeah, bro.
Dopas
You said you're covered. Do you have fun?
Cuco
Fun?
Dopas
Like, fun like, that's something you Love. You just said you had a character tattooed on you. Last night at a. I was at a funeral yesterday. I felt so disrespectful. I kept trying to stare at this lady's arm because I. It was South Park, Cartman, Respect my authority. Authority. I'm like, I gotta see it.
Cuco
Okay, bro. Here's bro. I want to get a South park tattoo, but here's my. My thing to begin with. I love it so much. I don't know what I would get.
Dopas
Yeah, it's hard because how do you pick?
Cuco
And also, like, I want to.
Dopas
Who. What is. What's your idea?
Cuco
I just don't know what I would get because I don't want it to also feel like I wanted to be something that looks cool and just, like, black ink because I don't have any color ready.
Dopas
I got an idea. How about just the mountain background? We all know what that is.
Cuco
The mountain behind the.
Dopas
Behind the sign in the snow. That can be in black and white. You put whatever you want on the side because we all know that South Park. That's early south park, though. Or the alien from South. But now. You know what?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You have to really love south park to know that. South Park.
Cuco
I mean, that's the thing. I don't. I don't care. Like, I don't. I don't get any.
Dopas
For yourself.
Cuco
Yeah. I don't get any tattoos for anybody to kind of.
Dopas
No, it's on your own body. It's like, you can look at it yourself.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Look at that stick in the snow.
Cuco
That means so, like, people recognize the sides tomorrow. Or, like, the Lunatone on my leg. I'm just like, oh, yeah. Like, you know what's up? Because. Because. But, like, Lunatone is not, like, a popular Pokemon. That's. That's not like a.
Dopas
Which one?
Cuco
It's like, yeah, which one is that.
Marty O'Neal
Deep reference characters type.
Dopas
I did. So I did Pokemon for, like, two months when I was a kid, and then we talked about it. My grandpa's like, stupid. I'm like, all right. And I just stopped. I was all embarrassed. And Pokemon was the dude. I was that kid trying to say the names at the end. I couldn't do it.
Cuco
Pokemon. Pokemon. But I. Yeah. I just don't know what I would get if. If I do a South park test. I want to feature almond tattoo also, but I just don't know what I would get also.
Dopas
Oh, I mean, Bender's always a great way to go.
Cuco
Yeah. I kind of want to get Bender on my ass because that's what? That's a. Yeah, that's a.
Dopas
That's. That's a deep cut. Bite my shiny ass or do a little bite out of your.
Cuco
I just don't know if I'm ready to tap my butt, you know? Like, I don't know if I ever even had it planned to tap my butt. That'd be the only thing I'd ever get. Which is valid. But also, if I ever decide I want to do, like, a whole thigh piece that might go into my. Yes.
Dopas
Damn. See, I don't have any. I'm afraid of needles, dude.
Cuco
Really?
Dopas
I'm super. My mom's tad. My sister's got her whole head, everything. My wife's the only one with no tattoos. This fool's got a temporary. Like, I don't got nothing. I'm afraid that I'll start go. Ah.
Cuco
I mean, you stand out, bro. It all right.
Dopas
I'm not like, you're the only fool with no Tasman. Yeah. Look.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
I don't know.
Cuco
I think. I think it's. I think a lot of it's. People are more tatted nowadays.
Dopas
Of course.
Cuco
For sure.
Dopas
It's like the number one thing to do when she turned 18.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
My little sister sent me a picture two hours after she was 18. I can tatted her arm.
Cuco
Yeah. I mean, that's the thing. That's. That's a prime example of that. Like, I'll tell you, like, because I. I just love tattoos since I was like, a kid, bro. Like, as a kid, I just knew when I grew up I was gonna have tattoos.
Dopas
And your mom and dad feel about that?
Cuco
Oh, they always hate it. So I would always tell them I never wanted this one.
Dopas
Did you turn like this when you saw him for the. Hey, what's up, guys? I just hit it as long as you could.
Cuco
I just. I just told him I was on tour, and then they came to New York to see me, and I had. Okay, so I got it. I got this in Boston, and I had completely forgotten that my parents was about to be in town. New York. I can't say it's like a. It's a cross with like a design kind of like, kind of like. Yeah, with a design around it just so it could kind of fit the shape.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah.
Cuco
And it did not look like kind of weird and gangster tattoo. Yeah, yeah, no, it works.
Dopas
It looks like it's part of your hair, like, artistic.
Cuco
Yeah. So then I was like, bro, I gotta wear it. So I was wearing a hat the whole time. And after a While. But I was like, but I cannot wear a hat. Like, it's the whole day. Yeah. So then I. And my hair was a little longer, though, too. So when I performed the show, thankfully, they didn't see it at all, bro. Like, my hair was covering it. But then we was about to dip the. To the next city, and I was saying by my parents, and I just was like, honestly, guys. And then I was like, I got a tattoo. And they were like, you got on your face. I'm like, not really my face. And I showed him, and then my dad just looked at me, was like. And. But then he just gave me a hug. He's like, honestly. Because I was already, like, sober by this point, bro. I'm getting, like, all these even more tattoos that are. That I'm sober, so. Because they always. I don't know, in the head, thought that maybe I was being influenced by something else or whatever. I was like, bro, I. I would bust missions to go get tattoos by myself. Like. Like, only a few of my tattoos. I've been like, with homies. And so, yeah, then my parents are like, well, I mean, this is what she really liked. And I guess so. So just get it. And, yeah, whatever reveal was there.
Dopas
Like, I jump off a diving board.
Marty O'Neal
Something in particular that happened that made you just go sober?
Cuco
No, honestly, I just. I mean, dude, I. There could have been a lot of things. Like, I had fatty liver at 22, bro.
Dopas
Oh, yeah.
Cuco
Yeah, bro, we get early so quick. What's that mean? It's like, I don't know if it's literal fat around your liver. I mean, but it's. It's. You're getting close to having my cirrhosis.
Dopas
Oh, because you were drinking?
Cuco
Yeah, Like, I had stopped, like, metabolizing. That's why I had gotten so, like, big at some point.
Dopas
Oh, you're drinking every day then.
Cuco
Yeah, I was drinking a bottle and a half of tequila every day.
Dopas
Damn. Damn. You know what's crazy, though? Like, that's what fans expect are like, I bet you this fool's up and having fun and making music. Like, yeah, that's what. You seen the Doors documentaries and that's why it was so tight. As you look at Mick Jagger and everybody, like, wow, those guys are doing hard drugs. 80,000. How cool, right?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
And then you go. And they all die, though, so. What the.
Cuco
Yeah, I mean, yeah, but even that didn't make me stop, bro. I really just stopped because at some point, I started feeling like I was like, holy, I'm drinking every Night. And if it wasn't tequila, there was a point I got it into wine super heavy. You know how also, you know how easy it is to just finish a bunch of wine. Yeah. If you, if you're used to. Because I, I didn't chase my tequila with anything.
Dopas
Oh.
Cuco
So I would just drink it out the bottle.
Dopas
When I see that, I just think of like. Like my crying makes me feel so emotional. And they get drunk and start crying about. From six years ago.
Cuco
Yeah, man.
Dopas
Dude, my dad's bad alcohol. So I would have to like, don't go on the road. And he'd be like, get all tear like, why? It's 8:30, dude. Come on, I got school tomorrow.
Cuco
You know what I mean?
Dopas
It was like, come on. And I don't know what it is, dude. It's like the emotions of these brown.
Cuco
Yeah, bro, if. Yeah, I, I was, I was looking at Tank man when it came to drinking, like for some reason.
Dopas
Right? Why?
Cuco
Yeah, this works. Yeah.
Dopas
So scary though.
Cuco
Yeah. So. And then same with the coke, bro. I used to be. Oh, a coke fiend, bro. Like I just, I got into it, then I, it quit for a bit. Then I got back into it again. I was like, bro, I gotta quit this. So I hit, I hit. Yeah. Three years. This, this month actually.
Marty O'Neal
Good.
Dopas
Good, dude. Yeah, cuz it's, it's. I talked. We talked about it earlier today in the other episode today we did an episode with me and him earlier and we're talking about it like, I wish that was good for you. And it was great. I wouldn't even be smoking weed. And I said it.
Cuco
Yeah, you don't quit because you hate it.
Dopas
But you know, you quick. It's like, it's not good. And I always say, Chris Farley, like, I can't. I'm too fat to be doing drugs. And that's why I said, what, I want to lose weight so I can do a backflip and do a rail maybe at the same time. We're not sure yet. But I know I won't do drugs anymore. They're just not worth it because I know if I'm on the ground going, this is it. And go. I could have just been like hiking.
Cuco
Oh yeah, bro. I've had. I had a lot of moments like that, bro. It's not fun, bro. I remember the last night I ever did it. I called my therapist that morning and I was. Because I stayed up all night, so I was already more. Yeah, it was morning time and I was. I called my therapist at the time a different therapist that I have now and I caught him, he was like. He was like, maybe he's like, maybe this is like you telling yourself that you need to quit. Because every time, maybe. And every time I had quit, something was always influenced by somebody else telling me, like, you should quit, but not for yourself yet. But, yeah, it's finally, finally for myself to, to stop. And then the same thing with the drinking and. Yeah. So it's. It's clutch, man.
Marty O'Neal
Has your life gotten a lot better in other ways since you stopped?
Cuco
Yeah, I mean, I always tell people the same thing, brother. Life doesn't get easier. You just get better at handling things because life's never gonna stop throwing curveballs at you. And life's also never going to stop throwing good things at you. So you have to be able to take everything, like, at face value.
Dopas
Yeah.
Cuco
So that's. But in retrospect, it makes life easier because you get better at handling anything off of just like raw dog in life.
Dopas
Yeah. It kind of makes me. The one thing is like, because like I said, I was at a funeral yesterday, I was like, damn, I kind of feel like a dick. Like, I'm getting less sad at fool's passing because I know it's normal.
Cuco
Yeah, I feel you. Yeah.
Dopas
Sucks.
Cuco
I get that. I feel like every, Every year, me and my, like my family and I were all used to kind of like that, bro. Because we just. For some reason I was talking with my cousin about this and they were like, damn, but we lose something. We lose like two, three people like every year, bro. Like, just every year, like, consistency years. Like, it'll be more.
Dopas
And I can't imagine being 80, like, I got two friends left.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Oh, I remember we were in high school, man.
Cuco
Yeah. Especially also if you, you know, you grew up in areas where, like, you just see folks, so they get into like some gang or they just like, oh, it's into drugs. The consistency of like, how many people you lose. And sometimes they might not even like, I. I also realized that recently where I'm like, damn. I mean, I don't have my friend no more because he's. He's a strung out. He's not dead, but he might as well be. Like. And it's up to say that I'm glad they're alive.
Dopas
Actually.
Cuco
Like, I'm very happy that they're alive, but it's waiting for the call.
Dopas
But he passed away.
Cuco
Yeah. For me, it's just more like I just. I wish I. I could have the same conversations. I Had. Could have with this person. I wish I could talk to them like I used to talk to and hang out, but it's. But you know, it's so. It's sad. So it's not that I wish that they were dead, because I don't ever wish that. It's more like they just don't feel like. It's like my friends aren't really here no more. So.
Dopas
Yeah, they're not dead. There's never. That version's gone.
Marty O'Neal
I feel like it hits your brain as if they died. You, like, you, like, mourn something, somebody. Once you know, you're like, I'm never gonna tell.
Dopas
When I think about them, I go, they were great. And when you say they were, you're like, oh, they're dead then, right?
Marty O'Neal
Yeah.
Dopas
But in your head, it is like, I was in my hometown yesterday, and every time I see a white dude on a bike, I'm like, because my best friend is. He's gone. Like, he lives under a bridge. He's strung out.
Cuco
Yeah, I talked to him for the.
Dopas
First time, like two years ago in 10 years, bro. We were best friends every day, going to school, living, like, all that. But he's gone on. And every time I see him, like, I see a tweaker. I'm not gonna say nothing, but I just want to be like, all right, you're good. Like, it's sad, dude. It's like watching the butterfly effect. You're like, all right, just keep walking down the sidewalk. I guess I can't talk to you like it's over. It's a different life. It's.
Cuco
Yeah, it's a different person. Yeah, it's weird.
Dopas
But then you seem like, wow, you look at the fools we used to avoid. This is really weird.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's. It's a crazy ass reality. I'm. I'm thinking, yeah. And I'm thankful for all my homies that didn't get like, like fully like taken out by. By that. Whether it's like, drugs or like, just like street. Like, I'm always. I'm happy. I'm happy when I see the homies that, like, made it past that. And. And I. I never missed a chance to, like, the homies. I'm like, I'm proud of you for, like, I'm proud of you, bro. Because. Because, you know, also. Also just. Life is crazy. Anything can happen at any moment. And then it's like, damn. I never got to tell them I'm proud of them. So I always. I was just the auto homies actually don't even. They don't even. Like, you could. You could be. You could do whatever. I'm just always gonna tell you I'm proud of you for living. Yeah, like, literally.
Dopas
I know what you're saying. Like some fool. I don't do nothing. I'm broke, like. But you're not a drug addict and you're still trying good person so much. And you don't think of it until you get older, though.
Cuco
Especially in la, bro, it's hard. Like, like, if. Like when you see how crazy is in la, how expensive is, like, and you're young and you're just like, looking at everything like, bro, am I. Am I gonna ever make a living out here? That. That hits you like a.
Marty O'Neal
Like, how's this gonna ever be possible to, like, buy a house out here?
Cuco
Yeah, bro. Like, it's. I'm. I always. I always look back at that because this. It felt damn near impossible growing up. I was like, bro, how. The.
Dopas
Most realistic thing anyone's ever said. How am I gonna make it? I feel that, like, when I moved out here, I'm from, like, by Fresno area. I'm from, like, the little towns by there. And I moved here, like, almost 10 years ago. And damn, that's just scary as hell, dude. Looking around, like, how much is your rent? How do you even make money? How do you.
Cuco
How do you eat? What do you.
Dopas
How do you do that? Yeah, I couldn't even imagine. Like, I went to, like, a nice apartment once. I'm like, how much is it? Right? He's like, 4,000. Like, how. How do you live? What do you do? Like, I feel like I'm paid in full. Like, Lulu. Like, I want in on this. Yeah. Break it down to me. Like, dude, how do you. It seems impossible until you finally make money. Like, why was my brain thinking that it was impossible and have this also.
Cuco
Because you don't have. You don't have a concept too, like, of how long that's gonna. Gonna last. Like, you're just. So. You're just like, I'm here until, like, I don't know when the. I'm gonna be able to figure this out, so. And yeah, I, like, I. I'm very lucky that got figured out quick because it was like, all right, cool. Like, now I can, you know, now, now. Now I know that I. I got a feature in this. But those. I mean, even at first, I can't say first few years, because even first few years that I was making music, I was. I was Living at my parents house. And so I wasn't even thinking that far, struggling at that craziness yet. But even like just those months after like high school and like trying to figure out some and. And thankfully my parents were never trying to kick me out or nothing. But in my head I was just like, bro, like there's. There was just so much going on all around me. I'm like, throughout my life, like just so much happening. And. And even though my parents weren't tripping on me, I knew that they were too because I knew for one, they didn't want me to do music because.
Dopas
It was like, well, what you make money?
Cuco
Yeah. How you gonna make. How you gonna make bread? I know. Like, my. My mom was also just dealing with some like signature at that time too. So she wasn't even really like able to go to work all the time. You know, they're paying off a mortgage that almost lost the house twice. My mom saved that by herself, bro. She did all the paperwork to like, I can't save them. Like, save the crib twice. Like, it was crazy. My mom was like insane. She's smart as bro. And yeah, so just all that, I was like, I know nobody's pressuring me right now, but. But I gotta figure some out because I don't want. I don't want anybody around me to be struggling with anything but be a burden yourself. Yeah, but then you start. But you also don't know when it's gonna happen. And those like every passing day, every minute, every hour just feels like, bro, like what? Like is, when is this gonna change? When is. And you know, thank God that, that it happened when it did. And that was the time span for me. But yeah, bro, folks, folks be pushing through some crazy dude. And I'm always. That's why you always. I was gonna tell everybody around you, even if they still struggling, and tell them, you know, I'm proud of you and bro, because every day is progress, bro. Even if you had a bad day, even if I fell back into smoking cigs every time, but I'm still like, well, I'm alive. I could. I can stop again. Yeah, I can stop again now. I figured out my little. My little, you know, can you please.
Dopas
Tell everybody so they can stop that also Not a lot of sigs as much anymore. It's a lot of vase. But it's seldom to see some sigs on some young kids now. It's almost awesome to see. I don't see smoking, smoking cigs. I don't see junk Full smoking cigs at all.
Cuco
I hate vapes, bro.
Dopas
You're probably one of the few people that said it.
Cuco
Vapes, bro.
Dopas
They're disgusting.
Cuco
They look stupid. That's my thing. They look dumb.
Dopas
Yeah, they do. They do. They do look kind of.
Cuco
You got an iPad in your. On your hands. Like you're just smoking. Yeah, bro, that is crazy.
Dopas
Like, let me wet my cotton. Like that's what you're smoking weed, dude.
Cuco
They're not like, none of that is good. But just think vapes are stupid.
Dopas
Yeah, it depends, dude. I know some people, like just help me quit Sigs. And now I stop. Like, all right, well, it must help a little bit. Yeah, but what's your way to stop in case there's anybody out there like, help?
Cuco
I don't know. I haven't. I mean, I haven't figured it out cuz I'm.
Dopas
Oh, they said I got my little thing figured out. That's why I thought you meant.
Cuco
Well, I'm not. I mean, I figured out that I do like one or two cigarettes on. On the weekends. Yeah, I don't. I don't know how to fully quit. That's. I. I could always give advice on like how to move forward with like quitting addictions and. But you know, but I directly was sick. I'm still struggling, bro. Coffee. Coffee and sticks to me are those two things. I'm. I'm. I have a really hard time trying to quit.
Dopas
Well, I hate coffee. I'm glad. I'm glad. I wish I did. I'm tired as all the time and I don't like energy drinks. I'm just like, all right, I got more to do. I'll just get up.
Cuco
You didn't do matcha.
Dopas
I just tried for the other day. The first time the other day. It's like, tastes like.
Cuco
Or I got a bad one.
Dopas
Oh, it tastes like chalk. Like this is what all these. Half the Japanese population is going nuts over Masha's fire.
Cuco
I. With my.
Dopas
I wish I liked it. I just started drinking tea cuz I know it's good for you, but I.
Cuco
Hate that you don't like tea either.
Dopas
No, it tastes like. But I drink it now because it's good for you. My initials are tea and I'm like, I hate tea so much and always so stupid. It's kind of ridiculous, man. So when. Sorry I was. I got completely off track when you're talking about the vices and how to stop cigs. I used to smoke a lot of cigarettes. Like a lot packs two Pack and a half a day, and I just stopped dead. Stopped one day, threw out the pack. I'm like, I will never smoke again. I hit a sick once, like four years later and went, what am I doing? So just like, make. Make yourself think you're gonna die. That's what I did. My window to my car. The motor and broke, but all three of them were broken. And this last one broke. And I had lit a Sig in the summer. I was delivering pizza, so I was boxed in it. And then I only had, like, a old, like, soda for my last delivery. So I drank it. It was a hot soda. And I couldn't breathe. And the smell was, like, inside. And the pizza of, like, pizza was so hot. It was like, making you like that glisten sweat. And then I couldn't get new air because all the windows are now broken. You know when you stuff a window with, like, stuff so it just stays up? That's what all three were doing, except for this one. I'm like, no. And then I was like, I can't breathe. And the sun was on me. I'm like, I can't breathe. And I threw my Sigs out. I'm like, I'll never smoke again. That's how I stopped smoking. I swear to God.
Cuco
Just make yourself like, you're gonna expose your therapy, dude.
Dopas
Real. Go in a sauna, hit a cig, and only drink soda for that day. I. I guarantee you just think of that moment. You're like, I'll never smoke again.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Disgusting.
Marty O'Neal
Sounds horrible.
Cuco
I think it was horrible. Yeah, I'm. I'm. I'm gonna enjoy my. Yeah, I'm gonna enjoy my weekend cigarettes.
Dopas
Well, maybe in a couple years, like, you know, I think I'm gonna go suffocate myself.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Just make sure there's no tint on this.
Cuco
Yeah, maybe. Maybe one day I'll do that.
Dopas
Maybe one day I almost die like that. Swear to God, it's disgusting, bro.
Cuco
I'm chilling and almost dying, though. I've. I've.
Dopas
It was a nice.
Cuco
Intentional. Yes.
Marty O'Neal
Speaking of which, we like to ask everybody, do you have any, like, paranormal or alien experiences in life?
Cuco
I had two. I think they would go, I. I don't know. But there were ghosts. I mean, this is also when I was, like, 12 and we had just moved into. Into. Into the house, me and my parents. And I remember seeing. I like, just like, froze up because I felt, like, just weird. And I see, like, this. I don't know, like a. Something. I don't even Know what it was? Like a ball? Like. No, it was like a ball of, like, smoke. But it wasn't smoke either. It was. I don't know what the fuck it was.
Dopas
Invisibility cloak and shit.
Cuco
Yeah, I don't know what it was. It was just like. Like a black hole that was walking or some shit. But honestly, though, I don't know what it was. I wasn't even on. On drugs yet. But maybe. Maybe there's something going on here, but I just remember it going to. There's a door. There was a door in the kitchen that led to my dad's office, and it was always locked. And I remember just that thing, like, open the door. And then that ball turned into, like, a magnifying glass. And I could see everything on my dad's shelves, like, clear as day. And then it just slammed it. And then I, like, unfroze, and I went to try to. It was locked. And then I told my dad. He thought I was stupid, and I was like, all right, cool. And then another time with my dog.
Dopas
Oh, hold on, hold on. No, we can't just skip it. You ever seen that movie Interstellar?
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Just remember what you read on that bookshelf just in case one day you're floating around a back of a Foot Locker and you're just stuck.
Cuco
No, I'm fried. I don't remember that. I just. Yeah, that. That was that. I just remember. Yeah, my. My dad to, like. I told my dad to this day, he was like, bro, you're tripping. You just came out freaking out. I was like, bro, I saw that.
Dopas
You know who you saw? What a weird thing. What if he has, like, some ancient book and you, like, read it?
Cuco
Yeah. And then I remember I was feeding my dog and we had a. Like, the container that was, like, one of these, like, cups, and it had the lid, and then you could lock the lid. So, you know, I did that, and I turned around and washed my hands. I. Feeding my dog. And then the container was just. Then I heard, like, my dog barking in. The container was just spinning, like, fast as, like. And it wouldn't stop. And then after, like, 10 seconds, if I. It just. It's like somebody just slammed it to the floor. My dog was looking at it, and it looked away and started eating. And I was like, oh, hell no, bro. And then I told my mom. My mom believes me, but my dad's like, bro, you're tripping. Nothing happened. And then I. But I don't know, after that, it just stopped and never had like nothing ever happened in the house again. Oh, yeah.
Dopas
What does your dad do?
Cuco
My desert.
Marty O'Neal
He's photographer sick.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
What are you.
Marty O'Neal
What are you summoning?
Dopas
I'm pretty sure Trent's dad works for the government in the CIA. I think your dad might do a little more than you think. Nah. Hell no. You just have stuff floating around your house and you have energy. Just that door is always locked, kid. You didn't see nothing. Hate. Sir, we gotta just calm this kid down. All right, but I wouldn't slow for you guys. Don't worry about it.
Cuco
Yeah, I mean, it was. It was like the. The. His office was like, just a room in the house that's, like, where he had, like, his, like, computers and. But it's. The other side was always unlocked, though. It was. It was two doors, but one is just annoying. Like, that one was connected to the kitchen.
Dopas
Oh, yeah, I see what you're saying.
Cuco
The house is built weird. It was like. It's an old crib.
Dopas
So, like, it's just magnifying. There's ghosts over here. Like, read this.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
What movie is this?
Cuco
Sounds like a plot to a movie.
Dopas
I'm interested now. What else happened? What the. That's it.
Cuco
That's it? Yeah. Nothing else ever happened after that.
Dopas
You got to ask your dad when he's real old. Like, come on, man. Admit that. All right, dog. I'm a sorcerer.
Cuco
Pictures of paranormal I saw. Yeah, they're. They're coming back for their.
Dopas
They want their floss drives. You never know. You d. Take pictures of aliens and ghost.
Cuco
Yeah, he. I'm in the airplanes. And my dad, he would always take photos of. Of airplanes and back in the day. So I have. I remember just looking at the photos of, like. Like, when Delta had the really old library and. And, like, that's why they're damn near.
Dopas
I wish I was into and knew of the names Chronograph. Delta. This. I can't remember nothing. Man, that seems so fun. It's like Dwight Schrute. No, that's a different train. No, that's definitely a steam engine. What the. That's crazy, dude. You're into how many planes you got. You have a collection for real?
Cuco
Yeah, I have. I have a lot of like, like, random. I like. Yeah, like, I. I see, like, airplanes and I know, like, the. I just know the, like, model of it. Like, but then there's like, the specific where, like, it'd be like, oh, that's a 700, 747, 200. That's 747. 400. I don't know, like the 400, 200, 300. But I could get a plan to tell you what it is.
Dopas
One other dude in the comments like, me too, man. There's always that community and then there's a convention like 800 people.
Cuco
But I posted, I posted like because sometimes I get excited about something. I just cop and I'll post and then people will be like, oh, what the. You like model opens too? You like Gemini jets and. Yeah, that's what they're called. What's one of the brands? Then there's like Phoenix and some other brands and that they'd be doing them.
Dopas
Because it's into the ones that fly. He flies the big model ones of those.
Cuco
That's fire.
Dopas
He fly, dude. He put a GoPro.
Cuco
That's sick.
Dopas
I flew one recently. They're so fun. You could just do flips. Yeah, some of them are the biggest table dude.
Cuco
You ever seen the video where it looks like a 747 is about to crash down and then it just like keeps. And it just keeps doing smaller aspects of the model airplane.
Dopas
But dude, they're do a great job on the. On like the perspective of the windows. Like it looks real and they just add the. And the guy grabs it out the air. Oh, come on. I live for like that honey. I shrunk the kids, man. I went to a place the other day that had giant furniture. Like the stove was like maybe 12ft high. You open the cabinet and you walk into it underneath it.
Cuco
It's like some Meow Wolf, dude.
Dopas
Some what?
Cuco
You didn't heard Meow Wolf? It's. They have one in. In New Mexico. They have a few, but the one was I've been to is in New Mexico and Omega Mart and it's like part of the same thing. It's in Vegas, but it's like an art installation where like wait, I have.
Dopas
Been by Area 51. Yeah, yeah, I went there.
Cuco
I'm sure.
Dopas
Damn. I have been there.
Cuco
Yeah. So then they have one. The main one is in. Is in New Mexico. It's also a venue. That's why I've been there. Because we perform there. Yeah.
Dopas
That's fun.
Cuco
Yeah, they have like a phrase you just walk into and it's a terrific get in. Yeah, no, that's not how you get in. It's just one other room and yeah, I want.
Dopas
That sounds so fun.
Cuco
I love meows, bro.
Dopas
I love weird, random like Peewee's Playhouse. If my house could look like that, I'd be so hyped. Like I told you. Was it. My house was like Neverland with no child abuse.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah.
Dopas
There's so much weird. Like, who lives here is creep. Like, oh, hey. Like, oh, okay. It's fine. So I have like this painting from this artist. But it's. It comes off. It looks like frosting coming off. It's like bears and dolls and little toys and this.
Cuco
So it's like.
Dopas
It's sick. But like if some Herbert from Family Guy came out, like, what kind of house is this, you creepy old man? You know what I mean? Like, if it wasn't me and they like, who has a giant army, man?
Cuco
I think, I think one of the most. The things I'm proudest to have of all my knickknacks is I have a Millennium Falcon guitar. Yeah, stupid.
Dopas
Into science.
Cuco
That was my first tattoo. Star wars tattoo too. It's the. The TIE fighter chasing the wild wing.
Dopas
So you do got fun stuff.
Cuco
Yeah, I mean, bro, that's fun.
Dopas
No, that's fun as hell. Do you have anything else that's fun as hell? Because our homie OT has every character you could think of of ridiculous stuff added all over him, dude. Like characters. I have one full that has all the family as. Bro. Isn't it crazy when you realize that?
Cuco
I go, oh, yeah, I got a biblically accurate angel in my knee.
Dopas
What?
Cuco
The biblically accurate angel. You know. You know what that is, right? Yeah, this.
Dopas
Wow. That's the first one I've ever watched. Dude, I was talking about that. I was talking about Akira. That's all I heard. Not accurate.
Cuco
I was like, oh, Kira.
Dopas
That's the first one I ever watched. So that's all I was thinking about right now. When you said that. That's the only. That's the only one I ever watched. Wow. See, that's when you were a nerd. You had like, hey, you want to watch an anime? All right. Yeah. My homie, the one I checked for on the bike, he's the one that showed me that I remember. He's like, I can ice cream. I go, calm down, man. And I watched. I was like, oh, I get it. Idea.
Cuco
There's a movie I still have to see. It's on my list. I think it's like one of the last few, like fully hand drawn, like hand animated movies. It's called Redline. Have you heard of that?
Dopas
Redline? No.
Cuco
Yeah, it looks crazy. It's like some racing. I don't know exactly what it is, but it's on my list. I'm just Shouting it out because it looks sick. And I. I'll probably watch it tonight.
Marty O'Neal
Actually do it like that.
Dopas
Yeah, I love like that.
Cuco
But it's like, but it's like actually drunk. Yeah.
Dopas
Took for ever.
Cuco
Yeah. Because you know, like a lot of enemies now. Like they have, you know, like, I mean, same south park. And they have like. They went from John, you're like doing this, the paper to like, you know, not every animation on computers. But yeah, this is like one of the, I think the last ones. I don't know. I mean, because I don't know how many more people are still animating with a paper.
Dopas
Almost nobody. Unless it's like a feat. Like this guy is really doing it off.
Marty O'Neal
It's gonna be all AI soon. It's gonna be just a guy typing in what happens. And it's just happening, basically.
Dopas
We'll see. As long as it makes cool. Like the, like the one you have. That. That's awesome. Oh, so you're talking about. Speaking of cars. You talked about it. We talked. And then you're like us. It's like. I always call it robot chicken. But your brain, it's just. There's new ones. New one, like. Oh, yeah. What? I forgot about that. Cars. You're into cars. What kind of cards you into?
Cuco
I have a 1991AMitsubishi Montero. Yeah. Is it all restored and kind of. Yeah, it has like lifted, you know. I like big, big tires and oh, really cool little brown paint job. Yeah.
Dopas
Okay.
Cuco
But it came like that. The owner before me had like done all the kind of like Resto thing on it. I have an 89 supra. Like a Toyota supra.
Dopas
Sick.
Cuco
I have an 08, like an AP2S 2000.
Dopas
What's that?
Cuco
That's a thousand Honda, you know, Suki.
Dopas
Oh, I was say like from, from Fast and Furious. I just watched part one of the plane the other day. What a movie. I forget how good that first one is, man.
Cuco
Yeah, I mean those, those are really like the main.
Dopas
You're in the cars that you're like, I have to build that again.
Cuco
No, no, bro, I, I honestly, bro, every, every, every dollar I put into fixing up these cars has been involuntary, bro. I, I want them to just come out running, bro. I don't want to have to. But owning, owning old cars is like. It's cool as, but it's annoying.
Dopas
I know. Every time I dip my trash out, I stare in my car in my garage. I just want to punch it. So it's restored fully. But the guy Was like, this guy don't speak Spanish, this guy or something, man. Because he was so nice to me but didn't do what he said he was. And everything was not done. He charged this guy anyway. I have a 86 Monty. It's just like bomb.
Cuco
Yeah, looks great.
Dopas
Doesn't drive right.
Cuco
What's wrong with it?
Dopas
Thanks. You let me know. That's why I keep asking what's wrong with it? That's what I asked him. He's like, oh, it's a whole long story, man. I waited for so long. He did the.
Cuco
Yeah, you got to just get a mechanic to come pull up and well, Ralph.
Dopas
Ralph keeps trying to, you know, you're doing the tour with. You were on the tour with them. He keeps trying to buy my. After I keep asking, I need your help to rebuild. It's like, just sell it to me. I'm like, no, help me rebuild it. Like, yeah, but just sell it to my. Just help me rebuild it, man. You have somebody, obviously. He's got five of these cars.
Cuco
Yes, that's. Yeah, that's the one. He. He's like collecting one.
Dopas
He's trying to get mine. Mine. My ear bastard. Just give me your connect already, dude.
Cuco
I don't want. I want to do that, but with like old SUVs. I have a. I'm like a sucker for SUVs, bro. Like, my everyday. My everyday car is a Grand Cherokee. And like, I love that.
Dopas
I saw it.
Cuco
I love grand. Like, I just love like SUVs. I love my Montero, bro. Like, I like, like sports cars. I think they're sick. Like, my dream car is a 911, but those are the AT Turbo S. Turbo S, Yeah.
Dopas
My homie just sold it yesterday. What's going forever now?
Marty O'Neal
The blue one.
Dopas
Oh, no, I've never seen one before. I saw it.
Cuco
I mean, if I could I get a GT2, but I also don't feel like spending 500 grand on a G.
Dopas
Are they that much?
Cuco
Yeah, GT2s are expensive. Jesus Christ.
Dopas
Is 3 more expensive?
Cuco
G3 is less expensive.
Dopas
Okay. Cuz I always got a 3 is. Oh my God. You need a house before you do that, man.
Cuco
I was like, dude, I love a GT2.
Dopas
Those are.
Cuco
I love it.
Dopas
Yo, the be like, he has the one with like the rivets and the body kits where it's wide as hell.
Cuco
Damn.
Dopas
Where it's like coming off of the tire.
Cuco
Oh, now if I had bread. If I had bread, I would get an ruf. I think it's like the c. What's that. It's like the C4 some. It's like this is a company that, that modifies Porsches.
Dopas
Oh.
Cuco
And they sell them as like, crazy. But this, like, kind of pretty official. And then they don't have the Porsche logo on it.
Dopas
They have like the Mansory version for Porsche.
Cuco
Kind of like some Brabish.
Dopas
Yeah. For.
Cuco
For Mercedes or Alpena, you know, but. Oh, yeah, but it's. It's still. It's like next level, though. Like, super next level. Like, RUF is like, you want to.
Dopas
See it before you leave? I kind of want to know what you're talking about because I feel like it's what this Full Dave has because it looks like a Mad Max car. It's like. Yeah, the kids, like, drops.
Cuco
It could also be like some RWB too. RWBs. That's what, like, they're known for, like the kits and that sounds more like what it is.
Dopas
RWB is not.
Cuco
I mean, regardless, this is still like, it's cool looking. It's still crazy. Like rwbrus or I say, yeah, RUF would be like. It's. It's kind of like a, like a Carrera GT vibe, but it's just like a little different. I don't know what RUF did to it. I. I honestly, for how much I like that car, I don't know that much about it.
Dopas
I feel you. Because I know a lot about, you know, cartoons and. But I don't know, like, who drew it. I don't know much about. I know all the words and all the characters. Like, you just said the chronograph. I need to learn stuff.
Marty O'Neal
Details.
Dopas
I need to learn, you know, I just know like. Oh, you mean. What's this Stanley Kiss from the mask. Yeah, yeah, I know. I. I like, I don't know things.
Cuco
Yeah, I don't know, man. I just. I get into so heavy, bro.
Dopas
Get it?
Cuco
Like, I get super into it.
Dopas
Like, just like study it and searching.
Cuco
Yeah, bro. I love. That's. That's why I also. I think that's why I weirdly like SUVs. So much like my, like, I would love like an old 90s, like, Lexus.
Dopas
Damn. You're into like soccer mom cars from the 90s. Like, I know which one you're talking about.
Cuco
It's pretty much the Land Cruiser version. Yeah, I love that car, bro.
Dopas
Damn. You're into like the, like, like at liquor stores, you know, when they sell the cars, like, oh, where's the hyper cars? The little toys and they Sell, like, the little land cruise and their safari car. It's like, those cars. Those.
Cuco
Like, if I, like a land cruise is also one of my dream cars, like an 80s Land Cruiser, I would.
Dopas
Damn. See, I don't know. Like, we had. We had one guy on here that buys watches by year. Well, this is from 91. Blah, blah. For the year. My brother.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
This is 85 for the year I was born. Oh, wow. I have no idea.
Cuco
It's like motorcycles, too. People buy, like, birthday, birthday, year, motorcycles.
Dopas
And Nikita, my videographer, he bought one from Russia. That's bad. It was bad. He's. He's from Russia. He's like, they don't even make these anymore. He bought one the other day. He's all hyped for this year, 1995. I don't know about it, but it sounds awesome.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Like, those guys are like, the dudes that have, like, a morning routine. And, like, you know what?
Marty O'Neal
You, like, you got extra brain space.
Dopas
Yes. Like, you spray. Like, I want my room to smell good.
Cuco
Like, oh, wow.
Dopas
You think about that. It's badass. Like, Ron Burgundy. Rob, you know, he. Like, my. My apartment smells rich mahogany.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah.
Dopas
See, like a. Like, that knows what he orders at a restaurant.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah.
Dopas
I'm sitting there going, oh, just give me this also.
Cuco
You ever seen. You ever seen the bts of them? Like, like, just. They, like, coming up with, like, all those phrases, like, on the spot.
Dopas
Yes. And they're just spitting them out, bro.
Cuco
Paul Rudd is nuts. He's funny as. But also, like, bro, how. Like, how. How fast he is to just come up with all those. Like, when you talk about the condoms and.
Dopas
Oh, see that part?
Cuco
Yeah. You know. You know when they talk like, they have like, all the. Like, the condoms and in. In the wall.
Dopas
Oh, no, no. The colognes.
Cuco
No, no. Oh, the. I thought they were condoms.
Dopas
No, the clones. Black Panther. It's made of bits of real panther, so, you know, it's good. Remember, he presses the thing in the wall, goes.
Cuco
I'm dumb. I don't know why this whole. Starts with the C. I saw it so long ago, too. So I'm, like, thinking it's condoms. And.
Dopas
Yeah, he's like, 60 of the time. It works every time. Yeah. Yeah. Briana was my. My. My online name for, like, eight years straight. Everybody thought my. When I started doing this, they were like, brian. I'm like, I should change my name online from Brian Fantana. People really thought that was my name for her.
Cuco
That's funny as.
Dopas
Yeah, it's ridiculous.
Cuco
Yeah, but dude, they're like, the way they improvise so fast is like. That's ridiculous.
Dopas
Like Steve Carell on there before he got real popular. That so funny when he's doing the. See, remember when he's. When they're introducing, he's putting that stuff on the toaster. It's just mayonnaise. And he goes, hi. It's like you smelling mayonnaise cooking this. I have an IQ of 63, what some would call mentally retarded. Ah, what a. Sorry. I know we just done two hours of some random ass talking.
Cuco
No, that's fine. I feel like I never get to talk about a lot of this though. Like all these like niche things, you know what I mean? So it's.
Dopas
People think you're weird.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
What are you talking about? All my friends don't know what I'm talking about.
Cuco
Yeah, nobody. Yeah, there's a lot of that. Like, it's cool though, because I'm. I'm sure throughout a lot of these things, I'm. I'm sure, like there's people that. That'll be like, oh, like I know stuff with that. I know. Yeah.
Dopas
Oh, huge, dude.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You never know. Like, that's why I like talking to sir like our. We have a homie name ogs from ecl. He's like a gang banger. You look like the fools you get out of the machines.
Cuco
The homies.
Dopas
It's like those dead on his identical stereotype. First time I met this fool, I was buying packs. I was selling packs. And I was going to his garage. Some dude brought me there. I'm like, this is East LA and his homies, RP Snuffies. But that was the. But he's had it all scary as he opened the game up. Oh, I've seen Training Day, dude. Like, no, I got packs. Like, I was like, but I'm with the guy I trust. I walk in, I'm like, this is gang bangered out. Oh, and then this. He's playing the Cranberries. What? Who is this man? And he had a. A eyeglass on for diamonds and he was checking out people's nuggets going, this is trash. This is trash. I was like, oh, I love this character. It was like it's like watching a movie. And like, who is the character that just introduced?
Cuco
Yeah, I have some homies from Australia. They played one of their like one of the first shows here, like two years ago. Ish. And I put up and it was funny because. Yeah, dude. Like, they're like Like a psychedelic band. Like, they're like super shout out to the lazy ass brother hard.
Dopas
They wear no shoes.
Cuco
Sure, I remember they might have been wearing shoes.
Dopas
Australia, I don't know.
Cuco
Psychedelics, it might have also not been wearing. But it's. But either way they, they kill.
Dopas
Awesome.
Cuco
They're sick. This is lo. That ass fool in the crowd. And I'm like, I wonder. And I was like. And I know these fools be listening to like music, you know, like talk about like animal.
Dopas
I know these fools listen to music. I know it's. I know what you. You're saying.
Cuco
I mean, cholos on asses, you know what I mean? Like, that's, that was the whole thing. But this is like real like new, you know, like. And, and it's just. It was just more funny because you always hear about it and I know like, you know, it's just. It's just in the culture of LA to, To be in the music to be super. Doesn't matter what the. Where you come from, how you look like, whatever the. Because you'll never assume even I listen like to Mel or some. If you saw me or hear like the music I make. But yeah, so it was just funny as is this. I was like, is it the right show? And bro, singing a lot of every lyric. Bro, he's singing lots of every lyric because these fools aren't like, that's fire. Like, he was dancing like this too. Like.
Dopas
Oh, he was doing it.
Cuco
Yeah, he was singing all the lyrics. It was cool as.
Dopas
I love like that dude.
Cuco
That's the thing that people don't realize. And I, I learned this super early on because when we was at Eucalyptus park when I was in high school, like the thing that everybody connected with because it was like me like some skaters, but then like there'd be like bangers at the table and. And fools, you know, fools that were like about it. But then it was also kids from like, like the beach and like the rich areas and that would just end up at Hawthorne. But everybody's connected a lot over like, like just if it wasn't drugs. It was also like music. They were all just talking about music and everybody would share music with each other because like everybody's kind of like nerdy about that at some point.
Dopas
Like you, you have your thing about. There's always something.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah. There's always some bro.
Dopas
We always talk like, even Paul west loved a comedian that these fools all love. Something. The funniest gangsters in every movie is always the funny guy too.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Because they all like, they're humans at the end of the day, man. Like no matter what, people like, like they the gangster some gang banger might love. Always sunny. Like, oh, now we're friends, man. You like always knowing I like you now. It's so easy to connect, especially over weed. And like you said, drugs.
Cuco
Everybody loves drugs.
Dopas
Yeah, it's the equalizer music. You love it.
Cuco
Wait, do you mind if I go up here real quick? But.
Dopas
Yeah, no go. I was just about to wrap up. Please feel free. April 16th is your show at the El Ray.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
Every time I just hear you're running.
Marty O'Neal
Through the whole album.
Cuco
Yeah, yeah, sick album. Top to bottom, new record before it comes out. Yeah, before it comes out. See, damn near a whole month, like three weeks before it comes out. Yeah.
Marty O'Neal
Have you done that before?
Cuco
I mean, I've played a lot of songs on tour before they even come out. I do it a lot, but this isn't the first time I've ever done like an album top to bottom. I've never done any of anything like that in my life.
Dopas
No.
Cuco
I talk to bottom project now.
Dopas
Not even at your other shows. Just have mixed everything.
Cuco
Yeah, I've always just mixed. I should probably do that soon though. I'm coming up on like next year is gonna be 10 years of like my first project.
Dopas
Oh, wow. Crazy.
Marty O'Neal
Has working with Interscope been like a huge change or has it?
Cuco
Yeah, honestly, I like Interscope a lot. Like, I've had a. I've had a great time so far being over at Interscope. Sick. My. I mean, the reason I signed too is like my anr. He's awesome. Carlos is like the reason.
Dopas
Isn't that crazy? I love this person. Yeah, I'll work with you.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
We're talking about earlier. If someone's cool as they can really seal the deal on, dude.
Cuco
Yeah, bro. Cause and. And yeah, he's. He's just always been so solid. He's also one of those people that's like, you could talk to him about music and nerd out on like some deep cuts.
Dopas
So. It's fun. Dude, We've been here for 245.
Cuco
Talk about random fast too, bro.
Dopas
Talking about stuff that you like, though. I'm telling you, we don't. It's rare we find people when we have people on the show, like, oh, you know stuff. Let's talk.
Cuco
Yeah, it's cuz.
Dopas
I don't get. We don't get to talk about fun all the time, man.
Marty O'Neal
How sick was seeing this?
Cuco
Yeah, that was crazy.
Dopas
It's insane.
Cuco
It's cool being on there with my boys too, bro. Those are all my brothers, man.
Dopas
So being from California, what's your interpretation of New York and being there, like your f. I just think everything's about like home alone too, but it wasn't at all.
Cuco
Yeah, it's a big ass city. I love New York. I love New York, bro.
Dopas
Be able to walk around also, bro.
Cuco
My fam. My. My. My mom's side of the family. Families from Puebla and New York is full of poblanos. You know, I hear like in. In California, a lot of Mexicans tend to be from like northern. That's why there's like a lot of car out here.
Dopas
Yeah. You just went into the B707s. Two hundreds, four hundreds. That's what you just did on me. I'm like, I don't know. Yeah, I don't know what that means.
Cuco
They spoke a lot. Basically. Basically just per. Different regions of Mexico have like, different things, which is. And I know. And I know different slang.
Dopas
Bro.
Cuco
Bro.
Dopas
My grandma, she'll understand some stuff from Tijuana. She's from Acapulco.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
What the is that?
Cuco
Yeah, so there's. There's a lot of poblanos in. In New York, which is not cool. Yes. Because we. It's. It's different. Like we. Super different culture than. Than like, then you get like, Mexico City is like, different. And then you get to like. And you get to like Sonora and like Sinaloa. It's like all different going on different parts of this, of. Of the country. It's sick. But obviously, like, I grew up with like a lot of polano culture because of my family. But then also there's a lot of corridos and like that out here. So I grew up with that too. I grew up being more big ass mix. Yeah. I mean, I grew up eating helicarn asad and then. And then go to like Mexico City where my desk from. It's like pastor.
Dopas
Oh, it's regional like that.
Cuco
Yeah. I mean, you could, you could probably get cardassad in Mexico, but. But like, you're more than likely gonna eat al pastor tacos and in Mexico City. Yeah.
Dopas
Really?
Cuco
I didn't know that.
Dopas
Oh, I had no idea. No, I didn't know California is such a mix. We're like, everybody just come. We just come here. Everybody knows that. So I've got a culture mix of every single thing.
Cuco
Yeah. I mean, there's poblanos out here, but it's not, it's not A lot. There's like a few. A few semita spots out here that, like, you know, what's the difference? Yeah, it's like a torta from Puela. And it's.
Dopas
It's a square. Is it the square ones?
Cuco
No, it's. It has a specific type of different bread than like a torta. And it has queso Oaxaca. Yeah, I know what.
Dopas
There's a certain restaurant that does that once. That one, that ox cheese is bomb. As I was a kid, like, oh, X, that's. Nah, that'll make sense in English. I just. Give me some of that. My grandma, she used to have that block in the fridge. And you just shave it. I'm like, grandma, it's open. It's dry.
Cuco
Yeah, it's okay, though. I'm like, bro. And yeah, I was a lot of Oaxacans in Pueblo too, which is cool.
Dopas
That's like a slur over here for sometimes. You ever seen that? They used to say that fool was short as dark. They would call him Oaxacan because they were like, little. And I was like, what does that mean? I never. I was like, man, call me that probably, I don't know, hell short.
Cuco
But. Yeah, the. The Pablo side of my family's all pretty short. My. I got. I got lucky that I wasn't like full blown short.
Dopas
Because you're not short at all though, bro. You're not little. You're like. Like, I know you're on tour with Ralph. I know people see him and like, and look at you. Like, you had the same jacket on, but that feels tall for a shirt. No, for sure. Like, my. All my uncles are 6 foot, all Mexican, full. Yeah, but my grandma, she's half German but raised in Mexico, so all her brothers are like this full. They have blue eyes, they're white as hell, and they're all tall as, like six, three and up.
Cuco
Yeah, my dad's side, my. On my family, on my dad's side is tall.
Dopas
How. What happened? Like, we just got the lucky. You just got the drop of luck.
Cuco
Yeah, I mean, I could. I could have been fried. Like, I could have been like, my mom, my mom, my grandma, my. My. My. My mom's. My grandpa, like, on my mom's side, all my cousins. I'm pretty sure. I love you guys. If you guys are watching this, I love you guys so much. But, yeah, it's okay.
Dopas
It's okay. Yo, you're brown, probably, but yeah, you're pretty small. You're low to the ground, so you can pick stuff. I swear to God, I think that's what it is. I swear to God. Why do we come out that way? It's so we could pick above ground vegetables. We're farmers. What's Aztecs do? They had grain and fed the whole region because they were low to the ground. And they could just pick, like, the cart titan from Attack on Titan. We're the cart Titan. All right.
Cuco
Yeah, I got. I got. Yeah, I. That's funny. My. My grandpa was a for show landscape regarding her.
Dopas
My grandpa, like, we talked about Reese. My grandpa was one of the first American or Mexican citizens to get American work. Work visa in the 50s. He ran the fields with the Filipinos and the Mexicans. So he was like. I told him, like, I saw my ramen in a book in school. That's how I found out.
Cuco
Philip Primos Villa Primos.
Dopas
What?
Cuco
Yeah, bro, that's good.
Dopas
My. My wife's Filipino. That's gonna be my child, Filip Primos. I've never heard that. That's a whole restaurant title. Oh, man. Filipino Mexican fusion. That's. My wife's sister's a chef. That's what she does. She does Mexican food and Filipino food, bro.
Cuco
Filipinos are Mexicans, bro.
Dopas
Yeah, they are. They're just Asian Filipinos.
Cuco
That's like. This is funny. Yeah. Because my Philip Primo is crazy. Yeah, My. My boy. My boy. My tour manager, he's a Filipino dude. His last name is Santos. I mean, they got. We got colonized by the same.
Dopas
Yeah, we all got, you know, over the same people. Don't worry, though.
Cuco
But. But that's funny that. But you see him. That fool's like, that fool like, where dickies and white beer. And you look.
Dopas
Yeah. You see the. The.
Cuco
The.
Dopas
The cholos in Japan, they're. They kind of do it tougher.
Cuco
They're fine. You've seen the. In Vietnam, too, bro. Them fools look sick. They got the haircuts and everything. It's like a barber pit. I forgot which one it is. But it's like, this supposed to be clean.
Dopas
What it is. It's their tattoos. They'll go full body, face, and neck. Mexicans do, too, but for some reason, Asian fools are like, no, I'm gonna plan it out with my artist.
Marty O'Neal
Yeah.
Dopas
Yeah. I was in jail and I got all of these, and then I bled it into this. I'm telling you, some of those fools have the dickies and the bikes. I see that documentary. They look. And the Asian girl thought that makeup works over there for some reason. They look tight.
Cuco
Yeah, because they get down Bro, like, whenever they. With something, they. With it. So they get really good at it, bro. Like, they, like, that's why the tattoos are probably so good too, because they're just like, that's all working. They start studying, bro.
Dopas
Oh, David D. Is the guy we're talking about earlier. He went to Japan and started making them street tacos because he's from Inglewood. He was born, raised in Inglewood, right? Yeah. So he's like, oh, tacos and this and that. So he was showing all these Japanese fools at the restaurant how to make street tacos. And he said they did a whole night because they were like, what is this? And he said they had all the whole restaurant. They were like, for the night, we're just gonna do tacos. So that's what he wants to do. Do a. A tacos. Hole in the wall.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
In Japan, he's like, after I'm done fighting, make tacos. He's still. He's serious about it. He's dead serious about it. But I saw it look incredible.
Cuco
That's a great idea, bro.
Dopas
Because they're like, they're not exposed to it. They're like, what the is this? It's not rice paper. What the is this for real? Because they have stuff like that, but not like this. Yeah, but he brought spices and, like.
Cuco
Also straight up, I think, I think. I think Cali has, like, the best food. I think we got like, the best food out here, bro. Straight up.
Dopas
Like, we talk about it often because we have a lot of friends from Texas. Yeah, I've eaten Texas Mexican food. I like their salsa a hundred times better than our salsa. It's warm. They serve it, like, hot. Have you ever eaten a chip with hot salsa?
Cuco
Yeah, but my mom, My mom. My grandma made hot sauce until.
Dopas
I've never seen that before. No, but like, all the Tex Mex places had it warm.
Cuco
That's fire, though.
Dopas
But I've never seen, you know, I've never even seen that. So I'm like, this is a thing I'm down with. I love it. It was.
Marty O'Neal
I like when they warm the chips up too.
Dopas
I never had that before either, man.
Cuco
You never had one? Like, when they have warm chips?
Dopas
Not at. Not at. Not at restaurants. My grandpa's done it. Yeah, what restaurants? I go to some dooky ass restaurants out here then, cuz every time I go, I'm like, yo, these beans don't got no salt. This place is trash. That was.
Cuco
I'm a big. I'm a big foodie in my city, bro. I'm a big foodie out here in la. Like, I love. I love.
Dopas
Tell me where to go. You want to see?
Cuco
I just found a Colombian restaurant. Dude, did this gas, bro.
Dopas
Cuban food's ridiculous, man. I just ate Cuban food for the first time. Like, yeah, bro.
Cuco
Cuban food. Lucky though. Miami's got the best Cuban food.
Dopas
I have a bean and cheese list.
Cuco
That's so funny.
Dopas
I have to. That's all I eat. I eat bean cheese all the time. And I'll just find place by thumbs up, thumbs down.
Cuco
Oh, yeah. But. But like, I have a list. I should shout out this Colombian spot, please. It's called encanto, bro. It's in. It's in like the movie I just watch too. Yeah, this is fire. I'm just. Yeah, I just. I just plug it, cuz it's that good.
Dopas
I don't know if I had Cuban food before.
Cuco
Cuban? You, you. But you just say you had Cuban food for.
Dopas
I mean, sorry, Colombian.
Cuco
Oh, okay. Yeah.
Dopas
Did you say the Colombian spot? You were shot.
Cuco
Yeah, Colombian spot.
Dopas
Yeah. But. Yes. I don't think I've had Colombian food before.
Cuco
Food is fire.
Dopas
I don't know. I know Cuban food. That sandwiches. Cut it a sharp ass triangle. I'm with. Feels like you have two sandwiches. Yeah, I'm down. The Cuban sandwich. They cut that at an angle.
Cuco
Tostan is the. Dude, what's that? The stone is like. It's like a Cuban chip. It's like with the. I mean, I think it's like a. I don't. I don't know who invented it was like. But I. I've had it at Cuban and Puerto Rican restaurants, but it's like. It's like a. A type of plantain that's not sweet.
Dopas
Oh, it's a little hard, right?
Cuco
Kind of like a potato texture. Yeah, Yeah.
Dopas
I had that when I was in Miami recently.
Cuco
Yeah. But yeah, Miami has like, great Cuban food, dude. Fantastic Cuban food.
Dopas
Oh my God. I went there for. For an event and like, I was hyped just to do that. Hell yeah. It's hot as a. But it's a whole different type, dude, because like, when I go over there, my.
Cuco
You just can't find spicy food out there. It's impossible to find spicy food in Miami.
Dopas
Spicy food.
Cuco
I. I didn't. It's hard to find.
Dopas
I have no idea. I don't think I've ever searched for spicy food in my life. I put a little bit of sauce.
Cuco
No, I mean, I'm saying, like, it's not a default out There, like you don't. It's. You probably. You have to go like, if you want something spicy out here, you're probably gonna. If you buy in something, it's probably spicy in la, but in Miami it's tough to find like spicy. Anything spicy food.
Dopas
You go, damn, you do you deep dive into. You're into food heavily.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You said you're a foodie.
Cuco
Yeah, I love foodie also. I, my. My ex girlfriend was Cuban and lived in Miami. So like I, I just was in Miami all the time. So that's why I know so much about like the, like the, like, I just couldn't find spicy food out there.
Dopas
I got you. Every restaurant I went to, everybody was old as. Yeah, that's what I noticed. Everybody was like a senior citizen. That was the waiters. Yeah, it was like a thing. Everybody's like, yeah. And then other homies were coming in chill and it was like a communal. It was awesome, man. I like that spot we into and they make limead. Not lemonade.
Cuco
What was it called?
Dopas
Spanish. My homie lives right down the street. I'll ask him, but I don't know, I just.
Cuco
They got, they got good ass food out there. Yeah, I like also. Yeah, bro, I just. LA, bro. LA's got the best food.
Dopas
Please tell me where to go. I keep finding spaces, places. I'm like, where the. The food at?
Cuco
I just want to be a cheese burrito.
Dopas
It's all I care about. I don't eat meat.
Cuco
So I'm like, bro, I sent you like 10 spots to go to get a good burrito out here.
Dopas
Please. I'll. I'll go today. I ate a burrito yesterday. I was like, oh, this sucks. And I didn't finish it. And I'm, I finished my.
Cuco
But you want just bean and cheese.
Dopas
That's the, you know that one bite bar stool pizza review. He does that. He like, that's how I feel. It's like the base of your restaurant should be the cheese and the sauce for pizza. Like. All right, well, what about my beans?
Cuco
But if I suggest. But if I suggest a good burrito doesn't matter what it has in it.
Dopas
That's fine.
Cuco
All right.
Dopas
That's fine.
Cuco
I'll suggest you.
Dopas
Oh, hell. I'm just saying, like every time I go somewhere it's bean and cheese and like your beans suck, dude.
Cuco
Oh, or you also don't. You also don't really want. Like you don't want every. Actually, no, I'm lying. I was going to say, actually, I'm Thinking about lettuce. For some reason, you don't want lettuce in your burritos.
Dopas
I honestly, I put lettuce in my burritos too.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, Chipotle for damn sure.
Dopas
I don't with that place. Every time. No, every time I'm there, they're like, are you sure you don't want guacamole? I said it six times. I want your shitty ass guacamole. Just give me the runs, bro.
Cuco
I, I, I do with the chipotle. I didn't like, I'm a big. I. Look, I'm a big chipotle advocate, bro. Yeah.
Dopas
Every day chipotle away from south park is not true. I'm telling you, Chipotle way is real. I ate it and went, oh, God, there's a war.
Cuco
I think, honestly, bro, I think I've also exposed myself to so much bad food. Bad and not. Yeah, bro, Only, only, only food that could really break me is street food in Mexico City. Like, Mexico City is like the place, like, I will like, get. Like, I will come back sick. Yeah. Every time.
Dopas
See, I go to Mexico, Autumn.
Cuco
It's worth it, though. It's worth it. I don't care. Like, I'll I up food out there any time of the day.
Dopas
So just point me in the direction, man.
Marty O'Neal
Just.
Dopas
But hey, this place, it's not on Yelp. Like, thank you. Because I'm telling you, my. I go, my grandma's like, oh, man, my grandma makes good ass food, but also it's Americanized sometimes because my grandma used to like make hot dogs and just slice them and potatoes and running ass egg and toast. And then we all just went to work.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You know, that's what I grew up on them. Like, my stomach hurts, though. Like, I can't eat that, dude. Yeah, please point me in the right direction. Because I went to somebody's like, what's the best Mexican food? They told me, gracias madre. I was like, this is not what I wanted.
Cuco
N. It's, it's good for like vegan. Like, it's, it's. I think it's for what it is.
Dopas
It's good.
Cuco
I like it. Yeah, but, but it's not what I. Yeah, if you want something more hybrid specific, like a burrito, you got to go to like a burrito joint.
Dopas
I want to go to a place where the mom. It looks the same age as the grandma and their both cooking like, damn, that's your daughter. That's a good restaurant. That's where I want to Go anywhere basically in la. That's what I'm saying. But that's where I want to go. I'm not going to Gras Madre and over it. Dude. Taco Bell is voted the number one Mexican restaurant in. In America. I love like 10 years. It's great. Love Taco, but it's not the way, bro.
Cuco
I would. I would die for. I would die for Taco Bell.
Marty O'Neal
I respect that.
Cuco
I don't give a. What anybody says about like trying to be like. Like, bro.
Dopas
They're being cheese burritos as well. I mean it's all really. You get anywhere.
Cuco
But I've never been disappointed by item on the Taco Bell manual ever.
Dopas
I have once. Spicy potato burrito. Don't get it. Taco. It's just hot sauce and some flakes and potato cross all over my leg in the car.
Cuco
I'm. I'm. I feel you actually haven't tried that. But every time. Every time I have tried something on the menu, it always been good. So I will. I was. I'll stay away from that. So I don't. So I can still keep that street.
Dopas
Keep that streak. Remember the enchirito when we were kids? Yeah, you with taco. Oh. It was basically just an enchilada closed. Damn. They have. They're real good with that. They're like, enchirito. That's us. Like it's an enchilada with clothes.
Cuco
They brought back the Mexican pizza.
Dopas
Yeah.
Cuco
Like a big thing for like my parents because they. They liked them as a kid.
Dopas
Isn't it crazy?
Cuco
And then so many messages.
Dopas
Love that too. I. I think it's hilarious. But we have that at home right now. But this is made. I get it.
Cuco
Yeah. I mean, bro. Five layer burritos. My. And the chalupa and the cinnamon delights.
Dopas
Oh, damn. His eyes got big. The damn pita bread we ate last night. I was like, oh, chalupa shell. This place made chalupa shells and called it pita bread. I'm like, perfect. I ate all that. See, I'm a Tulipa shells. You can put. You can put anything in there besides like chip hot dogs. No. Eat the. Out of a chalupa shell.
Cuco
I have to try that. That would be my experiment.
Dopas
Hot dogs.
Cuco
No, just like just a shell shell and just see what I can put in there.
Dopas
I always just get beans, cheese and lettuce in my chalupa and potatoes. Sometimes when I'm on the road. Man, I'll eat Taco Bell.
Cuco
But are you vegan?
Dopas
I Was for a long time.
Cuco
I was going to say, because you've mentioned G's mad, you've mentioned bean and cheese burritos.
Dopas
And I just stopped being vegan. Like. Like five months ago. I started eating cheese again, man.
Cuco
Good.
Dopas
Yeah, I started eating egg again like three months ago. First one I went. I spit it right out. I was like, I'll get used to it. And then I got. I don't know. I'm good now. I ate it yesterday. I ate today, for sure. Getting stronger and taller by the minute, dude.
Cuco
Got to get a good cut on the side.
Dopas
I don't know if I'll ever go back, man, but I do. When I see it cooking, it just reminds me being a kid and go. The nostalgia of people cooking barbecue, I like, but I don't think I'm gonna like you. It's more for you.
Cuco
I feel it.
Dopas
Because I'll that up if I hate it, dude. Oh, what I wanted to ask, before I forget, I know you're. You're a Beatles fan. Have you ever seen the Beatles movies?
Cuco
No.
Dopas
Nothing.
Cuco
I didn't. Wait.
Dopas
There'S a couple.
Cuco
What's the one with the little triangle? The dudes. A little triangle, hats and.
Dopas
Devo.
Cuco
I don't know. It's a good movie, but I think it has. I think one of the Beatles made it also. Might be tripping, though, entirely. But it's like.
Dopas
Oh, they're talking about a group with the hats. That's Devo.
Cuco
No, it's like some animated.
Dopas
Oh, I have no idea.
Cuco
Yeah, but I mean, I'm. I like the Beatles, but I'm not like. No, I'm saying like, mega fan.
Dopas
No, no, not at all. But have you. You know they have movies, right?
Cuco
Yeah, I just never seen anyone.
Dopas
Oh, you should watch. I'm just saying for the musical aspect of. Of it, because they have a movie called sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Kill Band, like, after the album.
Cuco
Oh, yeah, I love that album.
Dopas
But have you seen the movie? No, the movie is the Bee Gees. It's a movie about. It's like an actual movie with dialogue and scenes and everything. But it's a musical. Every scene turns into something. But, like, they have aerosmith at like 21. They're the evil villain band and they're playing and it's all Beatles music covered by different artists that play. Like, Steve Martin's in it. He does Bang. Maxwell Silver Hammer. He sings it, but it's like.
Cuco
I gotta check that out. Yeah, that sounds cool as.
Dopas
Oh, it's cool as the Bee Gees.
Cuco
Are.
Dopas
Are the. The pop group that this band's getting signed and then it's all Beatles music. Sick as hell. You should watch it, man. I know, I know.
Cuco
Was that for the benefit of Mr. Kite?
Dopas
Benefit of Mr. Kite.
Cuco
That's like one of the songs on Sergeant Peppers.
Dopas
Oh, see? Yes. You got me right there. See, you don't have to be a mega fan. I am a mega fan. I missed that one, right?
Cuco
No, that. No, I just. I just like that album specifically.
Dopas
I had it. Someone stole it. Bastards.
Cuco
Yeah. I just think it's so weird as.
Dopas
Very weird. It's when they start doing drugs.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
That's when gets fun.
Cuco
And you're serving Dewey Cox.
Dopas
Oh, yeah. Wrong kid. Dad.
Cuco
Yeah, he was like. He's like, I'm gonna go do acid with the Beatles.
Dopas
You don't want any of this. It makes sex better. You can't get addicted.
Cuco
It says the four Beatles from Liverpool. And like, I've got a new mantra. Paul's a big fat cunt.
Dopas
Yo, if you see this movie, it's with. It's John C. Reilly again.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
He basically plays Walk the Line, but it's called Walk. It's great.
Cuco
It plays on that. And I think the. The Ray. Ray Charles movie. I think too.
Dopas
I haven't watched that before.
Cuco
Rach. Right. The blindfold.
Dopas
Yeah, the blindfolds.
Cuco
Yeah. It makes fun of. I think that. And there's another movie it makes fun of. It's funny as.
Dopas
It's a good movie, dude. His dad chopped his own legs off. Really crazy. I drop my own body in half. Easy.
Cuco
He's like, no, I see how he's.
Dopas
It's so stupid.
Cuco
It's truly so stupid. That was. That was so stupid, bro. I remember seeing that movie. That's. That's one of my favorite movies.
Dopas
Watch that one in theater. And I went dope. People are not going to like this one. But it's so good.
Cuco
That's so fire.
Dopas
Oh, it's so good. Dude.
Cuco
They need to like do a. Like a theater run where you just watch those movies.
Dopas
And they do that.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
The Quentin I went and watched. We went and watched it. They redid Pulp Fiction in the original film. In the original cut from the day it premiered. Quentin Tarantino has a Beverly cinema.
Cuco
Yeah, he has. Yeah.
Dopas
So he plays like his. Like some crazy throwbacks, but on film. And you can see like. And it played all the original member. And all the previews. We had all the previews for the movie the Professional that's coming out next year. It's like, Damn, that was 30 years ago, bro.
Cuco
That's fine.
Dopas
It was cool. We went. But hey, you guys are normal size. I need to lose some weight. I was like, oh, it's 1960 seats. You. He did it on per. Like, he. He made everything exactly how it was. Like, oh, I sat and I'm like, fat. I'm the biggest guy from 1963, dude. I'm telling you. The. So like, everything's like little. You have to put your phone down. They have a guy that comes out, oh, this is what the film's gonna be, bro. It's so sick. So you can't find some cool stuff. You can't find some fun stuff still.
Cuco
I want them to show wall card now, though.
Dopas
Yeah, you don't want sergeant Peppers manual. Appreciate the show. You should watch Walcart Cam, Will. He has a nine year old. He'll love that. It's even Emmy will like it. It's really good. It's so goofy. It's the goofiest. Yeah.
Cuco
Funny as it is, dude.
Dopas
Okay, album May 9th riding and everybody can go. April 16th.
Cuco
Or it was April 16th. We playing entire album riding top to bottom at the O Ray. We're having the Sinceres open up for us. Big shots to them because I love this in series. Big soundtrack to my current life too. They just accompany me every day. I told this to Joey and I'm like, bro, you. You accompany me all the time.
Marty O'Neal
That's awesome.
Cuco
So, yeah, it's gonna be amazing. I'm. I'm happy to be doing that show, playing the album talk to Bottom because I don't know when we're gonna do that again.
Dopas
Yeah.
Cuco
Album riding comes out May 9th, third studio album. Dude, sick. Yeah.
Marty O'Neal
I'm excited for you. I listen to it. I'm excited for it to drop. I know a lot of the fans are going to be excited, so we appreciate you coming through.
Cuco
No, thank you guys for having me. Man, that's gonna be sick.
Dopas
How long we've been here three hours talking about nonsense. I love it. They call it garage talk. We used to get high with your friends and go, it's been five hours.
Cuco
Yeah, we're late for school, binge night with your homies. And just oftentimes, man, you business. Just business ideas are never gonna happen.
Dopas
Oh, yeah, you mean cocaine. That's what I call it. You mean that's what I call it, man. I wrote that. I've been. I opened for Ralph like two months ago maybe, and that's one of the ones I wrote. I wrote like, they're talking about coke. I'm like, you mean unfinished business, fuel or I call it something. I wrote it down.
Cuco
Yeah.
Dopas
You mean business proposal night. Like, all you do is sweat and talk about ideas you're never going to do.
Cuco
Wake up your, like the inside of your mouth all chopped up and.
Dopas
See. Oh, we were talking about. I used to gum it. I used to like, 80% north the rest of it. Was it the gift that keeps on giving. When you get that drip, I'll be in the store, pay for something. Sorry.
Cuco
Here, it's you.
Dopas
Damn. I want to go on adventures and do psychedelics now, man. We had a guy on here recently, Arisha Fear. He's like, yeah, Last time I did, I said, where was Pyramids? He's like, I was at the Pyramids. I'm like, yeah, it's a good time. He's like, I dropped it. I ended up in a sarcophagus tomb. A guy led me there and I took a piss and I left like, wow, that's crazy. Amazing, because I did ayahuasca for like three days, you know, in the jungle and ate food with them. And like, I would just think of hostile and saw and I'm like, I gotta go home, dude. I don't speak your language, man. I'm gonna get killed out here. I have too much anxiety for that. But I'll speak if I can't understand what you're saying. People smiling at me like, let's kill this guy. Like, oh, this guy's smiling at me. I'm like a dog. When you try to feed it, you're like, oh, hell no.
Cuco
That's crazy. That's a whole other level to life live, bro. So you can ask his gotta be sick.
Dopas
That sounds. I've never done anything cool like that. It sounds fun. I just smoke a joint on an island once.
Cuco
I was. What do you mean?
Dopas
I took a jet ski. We're in, like, in the islands one time for some vacation thing. I went. I'm like, I'm afraid of the water. I'm like, it. I took the. I took it and I smoked a joint on the island. Yeah. Nobody was there but me.
Cuco
I don't know why. I heard you say something like, do you take. I guess.
Dopas
No, not around water. I end up trying to like, make talk to dolphin.
Cuco
No, no, hell no.
Dopas
Dolphins are a whole nother thing. Mos versus speak.
Cuco
I heard like a point or some. I don't know what that even means too. I like, made a whole, like, word and definition in my head.
Dopas
It's okay. We all do it.
Cuco
John. Island sounds fire, though.
Dopas
I felt more accomplished and I went, oh, wow. I'm surrounded by death. Give me all this island.
Cuco
I would, I would. I wouldn't. I probably. I feel so one up. Hearing somebody talk about taking acid at the pyramids, like, that's like.
Marty O'Neal
Right.
Dopas
Oh, he made us. He made us completely like, oh, so now we gotta live. Yeah, we have to live life. Or was I. I was doing. I did whippets outside of a concert. Like, what?
Cuco
You just.
Dopas
You just don't care if you're too tall to get molested is what it is. If you were smaller, you'd be scared of it, but you're too tall for that.
Cuco
I've done ESS in Germany.
Dopas
See, that's.
Cuco
That was actually weird. It was nuts.
Dopas
Did you see crazy evil?
Cuco
No, it was just. It was just crazy. Like we. Yeah, it was just a lot. It was just trippy as. Trippy. It's just trippy.
Dopas
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Not home.
Cuco
I would say, I think. I think if. If the world ever needed me and like, and. And like aliens wherever, like, yo, I need the strongest liver to coming out drinking alien. If not, we'll kill you all. Like, I'll probably still. I still probably got it in me. Am I gonna try to go find out? No. But if an alien ever comes, I.
Dopas
