But there's something more exciting happening in France, which starts with a K and ends with a LAROLINE!! Marbekah has been having such a happy time in NYC that Marcel is ready to propose, which I am sure we all think is going to be a layup. But of course, plenty of new characters are here ready to experience the kind of stress that only the Mikaelsons can bring to New Orleans, because did you really think they’d stay away?

And he does try his hand at the strategy we suggested last time: lying! The Hollow tries to begin her reign with an old friend by her side, but, as it often does, hubris rears its ugly head. As the team gets ready to defeat the Hollow, everyone feels a pressure to resolve their issues. Some apologize, others break apart, others just don’t answer their phone for no good reason. We end the season not knowing if we’ll all be back in New Orleans again, but at least we get to revisit Mystic Falls.
